Arylo awakens to a strange noise, a rising din of chattering and squeaks accompanied by some sort of stampede rumble. He eases himself out of bed and shuffles to the kitchen window to peer out.

Tish was leading a sea of pocket illagers right into the Village, holding out some beef jerky and cookies; enticing them to follow her. She thinks they're adorable and loves to have them around. Arylo and everyone else are less than enthusiastic.

"TISH!" He yells at her as the sea of little monsters surges past. She looks back at him all innocent.

"Valkory will need an industrial level vacuum cleaner for this..." he pinches the bridge of his nose and sits down in the porch chair.

Off in the distance Valkory fires up said vacuum. It looked like a weird leaf blower but it was enchanted and would suck up the monsters instead. She goes after the little yelling menaces snd it becomes a battle of wits, with Valkory emerging as the victory. And thousands of the little things in crate prisons.

Ok time to ramble!!

What's the theme for my trio? Well! Valkory and Veev's theme is (at least for me) is comfort and freedom. When I made them, it's with all of my heart.

Valkory was made during a troubling part of my life and she represent comfort and protection. A kind soul who'll be your protector and friend. I had her be friends with Archie because he's a hurting soul who needed a strong friend who will stand by his side. Their friendship was and still is healing for me. Valkory is a comfort oc who always brings a smile.

Veev is my sona, a bit of me. For a while I felt disconnected with my old sona and I kind of felt like some part of me is missing. Veev is my star child, free to do and go to fun places, to bring me smiles, and happy day dreams. Her theme is also space and it's endless creative potential. She's my inner child given form.

Aqua is in fact a very very old oc of mine. I'm not sure what her theme is yet so let me ramble about her and maybe you can see a theme that I can't. When I made her when Neopets was at its heyday. I used to roleplay with her a lot and I have a lot of fond memories. Made a lot of friends with her that have drifted away from me. Of course I grew out of Neopets and now it's simply a shell of its former glory... But I still have a lot of ocs I don't want to let go, one of them being Aqua. So I changed her into something new. She used to be a blue Lutari then Maraquan Lutari (which looked a lot like an axolotl) and then an axolotl princess!

Ok so I have thoughts regarding Echoes of Oblivion and how it relates to the Force. This was basically a stream of consciousness writing session so my apologies if it is wordy and rambling.

Under the cut because I discuss spoilers for SWTOR 6.2 content and also the Revan novel. 

First I’d like to say that I enjoyed EoO. It was a nice end to the whole Emperor saga and certainly felt appropriate to have all the people that had fought him over the years show up to see his death. But what I felt more than that was that this was a victory for the Force but not necessarily a victory for the people of the galaxy.

I have always subscribed to Kreia's philosophy regarding the Force. It is a sentient and amoral entity that manipulates and directs those in the star wars galaxy for its own ends. To me, it felt like the whole “will of the Force” was played up as a good thing by the narrative and I disagree with that.

Revan triumphantly saying "The Force seeks balance, always" sounded far more sinister and terrible to me than I think it was meant to. What exactly is being said? That anyone who works against the Force will be destroyed. Anyone that wants to be free of it will be destroyed. The Force does not like or tolerate beings that choose freedom over it and it will use those that follow its will to strike you down. In this instance that means the Emperor.

Now I will never say that the Emperor was good or right or anything like that. He was an evil maniac that needed to be killed. What I am saying that he seemed to be free from the Force’s influence. That is something so rare that it has only ever happened to one other person, the Exile. Those two people are the only ones that have ever been truly free in the star wars galaxy. And with the Emperor’s death, the Force once again has a strangle hold on the galaxy and everyone in it.

I look at the big hero shots of everyone that the Emperor ever hurt and in the moment I feel happy seeing everyone come together to face this evil. But when I think about it what I see is everyone that the Force sent to try and kill this being that refused to obey its will. The Force was responsible for killing all of these people just as much as the Emperor. It influenced people, through visions or feelings, to fight the Emperor in some way. And almost everyone died in the process but the Force does not care and just continued to send more and more people to fight the Emperor so that it could again have supremacy over everyone in the galaxy.

This all leads to my own conspiracy theory that the Force could have ended the Emperor’s threat back in the Revan novel. Now I don’t like the Revan book. I think it misrepresents and grossly oversimplifies the Exile and everything presented in kotor 2. However, looking at the events in the book, I believe that the Force saw the Exile as a greater threat to itself than the Emperor. The Force wanted the Exile dead because they could have led others to also break free of the Force’s will. Not wanting this to happen, the Force showed Scourge a vision. It gave just a tiny push and managed to change the direction of galactic history in the process. The Exile was killed by Scourge and the Emperor was saved. The people of the galaxy would then suffer the consequences centuries later when the first of many wars between the Empire and Republic started.

Revan, the Exile and Scourge could have saved the galaxy from the evils of the Emperor. But the Force did not care about how the Emperor might make the people of the galaxy suffer. All the Force cared about was ensuring that it maintained control. And the greatest threat to its control was not the Emperor but the Exile. So, not caring that it would eventually lead to the deaths of countless people, the Force killed the greatest threat to itself, not the greatest threat to the people of the galaxy.

This comes back to my and Kreia’s view that the force is the ultimate bad guy in the galaxy. It manipulates people into waging war and slaughtering billions and billions over the years all so that it can be balanced and continue to have control over the galaxy and if you don't like that it will influence the people of the galaxy into hunting you down and destroying you.

In Arylo's arsenal of healing he has a pill gun he had made that can help stubborn, ridiculous patients take their medicine. Such as Illagers.

Wrapping pills in meat/cheese or hiding them in a piece of bread usually ended with the pill spat out. The pill gun does the trick nicely along with stern words. Or sometimes the help of Valkory the Village Hero.
