Complete Sinnoh Quartet

Behold this lovely art of my four Sinnoh fan children that I had done by @xabi0407. You should really check them out as they have done plenty of other really cool fan children for a variety of different pairings.

As for these four, you all have met Dusk and Feijoa before (the top two) and if you haven't you can check out this post. But you have yet to be introduced to properly to the bottom two. Meet Velvet and Ophilus! As always if you have questions feel free to ask! I promise I don't bite lol.

Velvet: This pouty little one is the child of Saturn and Jupiter, now know as Sean and Felicity. As she is two years older than Dusk, she sees herself as the superior trainer, especially since her Skorupi has the advantage over Dusk's Azuril. She is quite a brat in personality, seeing herself as better than everyone else due to be the daughter of one of the richest CEOs in the region. Velvet also hates Feijoa more than anyone, seeing her as less than human. Despite all her fussing and talk, she may be more troubled than she seems if she's willing to summon Darkrai...

Ophilus: This wannabe magician is being raised by Candice and Maylene, but is biologically the son of Candice and Buck. His bio parents have no relationship beyond Buck helping Maylene and Candice have a child. Ophilus is a show off to the extreme, wanting everyone to know just how great he and his partners are. He thinks he's some kind of master hustler but he really isn't. His team consists of a gaggle of oddballs like him, including his ace: a very laggy, sort of buggy, Porygon. Despite how he may come off, he is quite kind hearted and is one of the few people to be totally okay with Feijoa. It seems Dusk may have a soft soft spot for him...

I realize I forgot to give ages to Dusk and Feijoa so let me age all four now. Dusk is 10, Feijoa is 15, Velvet is 12, and Ophilus is 11.

Dusk and Feijoa

Introducing for the first time two of my Sinnoh fan-children, Dusk and Feijoa. Art was done by the talented slee.pingfish over on Instagram. Go check them out and give them some love.

As for the characters themselves, I'll give a brief overview of both. Can't dump their whole story here since that would take forever and no one wants to read that. Feel free to ask me any questions you have (questions can be asked here or commented)

Dusk (right): My Twinleaf girl. She's the daughter of Dawn and Barry and it shows. She may seem sweet on the outside but she has a nasty temper underneath and a wildly competitive nature. Her ultimate goal is to defeat her mother and become the new league champion. As such she strives to create a team of only the strongest Pokémon, but still ends up with a sweet little Azuril as her starter anyway. Her parents worry about her ambitions but Dusk has a good heart at her core, just like her mom. She has a rival by the name of Velvet, a Saturn and Jupiter kid, and their rivalry can get quite heated.

Feijoa (left): Feijoa is an odd case. She is being raised as the daughter of Caitlin and Darach but biologically she is only Darach's child. Her other parent is a Giratina. Despite her origins and her mildly frightening appearance, Feijoa is a sweetheart through and through. She is well mannered, polite, and kind, acting as a moral guardian to Dusk. She was asked to travel with Dusk by Dusk's parents to make sure her competitiveness didn't end up her hurting her. Feijoa struggles to fit and is often attacked but nevertheless she is determined to make it in the contest world. She not going to let a little stigma prevent her from showing off her wonderful partners to the world. She has a rival named Ophilus but their rivalry is fairly lighthearted.

Okay so I will probably not work most of the game kids into my verse. I want to work with Valetshipping, Duelrivalshipping and Lonashipping. I also wonder that is I work a few extra female protagonists into my verse do I need to add all of them. I wanna keep Hilda and Selene in there but what about Leaf and Gloria? 

Also don’t know if I still want Hilda to be a single mom or if I should let my ferriswheelshipping ass kick in.

Truth be told, I never actually battled Darach... But when I looked at his Bulbapedia page (as he was linked to Caitlin's), it mentioned that a minor character at the Battle Castle says: "Mr. Darach...His feelings for Lady Caitlin are all bottled up...Oh, how I pine for him..." and it was ship at first sight.

so in pokemon Im a valetshippier (Darach/Caitlin) and Im finally finishing up White 2 and I was looking up Caitlins team and apparently Darach still comes to her villa and cleans it up for her before going back home

I was trying to imagine what Caitlin would look like dressed in black, and then I switched to white, and what she appeared in what very wedding dress-esque and I just

Caitlin one day suddenly announces she wants to get married (and everyone's 'HUH') and specifically wants to get married and have the whole church-type ceremony...but without the actual legality of it (since she's pretty sure she'll never actually be married, seeing who she is and what she can do). Which just smells of PR trouble (something they never seem to be short of), so Marshal's all 'no', but Grimsley likes the idea of playing with so much money, and Shauntal gets glassy-eyed, though practically, they shouldn't do anything of the sort.

Except Iris hears of it, and she wants to do it (because fun fact: Champions have the power to officiate marriages [similar to ship captains]). And the PR agent is about to flip her shit, because it's the last thing anyone one of them should be doing, since something like that would never stay private enough that it could be done without someone tipping off the press it's being done in the first place, so Shauntal mentions, "Well, what if it's a charity event?" and that basically ends it.

NOT SURE who would be the groom (it's basically either Grimsley or Marshal and Grimsley wants Marshal to do it for the lolz, and Marshal wants Grimsley to do it because Marshal just doesn't want it to be him), but it's up until a week before where Caitlin just puts her foot down and picks one.

So it's the day, and Caitlin and her groom are two seconds away from being married, and Iris says the fateful lines, "Should there be anyone who objects to this marriage, speak now or forever hold your peace,"

but she doesn't even finish the line before Darach stands up from the back and objects very loudly, professing his love or whatever people do with their objections, which isn't part of the thing at all

because Darach didn't read the fine print of the event and is actually being honest. (And it's been a long decade of issues between them, with both liking the other but Caitlin having doubts and trying to keep her distance from him.) And that's how Caitlin and Darach wound up legally married a few years after BW2.

(All I wanted was to imagine Caitlin in pure white; what happened.)
