Hi Val, just saying I'm obsessed with your rune work in the shadowhunter chronicles and I would like too know more about what the runes mean and do, especially the ones that aren't talked about as much in the series. (like the abundance rune) I'm in the middle of making my own gray book and if you could help me out with the meaning of the runes it would be a huge help. Thx

Hello Anon! I truly appreciate the shared obsession. Creating, sharing runework and tattoo designs have been one of the more fulfilling things in my career. So, thanks for sharing that w/ me. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

In truth, I have a literal tiny handheld Gray Book of my own that carries a carnal alphabet I use (with broken down origin glyphs). It is a godsend. Whenever a new challenge comes around I whip that out and re-read it to lay groundwork. I've made too many Runes at home to actually fit into any singular book (mostly rejected designs btw). So, good luck with your version, I'm utterly fascinated to know how it goes. Lemme know!

When you say ones that "aren't talked about as much" I think it's more nuanced than that. There were some that were deliberately designed/requested/highlighted like "Fearless" and others that weren't like "Courage in Combat", whereas the later means vastly more to me personally. How two things can seem so alike but actually mean v different things idk. If you were writing lit, fic or theory you can go forever on just that! But then that's art isn't it?

If you're asking directly about "Abundance"... hmm? it's been a while. Let's look at my notes. While the literal spelling is "Abundance" what I've got translated from the glyphs used is 'being Present'. So, it's less "Abundance" of riches but more like a proficiency in Passive Perception. Does that make a little more sense? See, this shit is hella nuanced! (I did put synonymous titles for Runes names that were a bit... sparse, pre se. But they're on my uploads and weren't often on other sites or maintained when the publishers printed it. This is why source materiel is best material.) I go into loads of notes on DA, feel free to poke around.

BUT when it's your Gray Book , your notes, you do you. Answer to no one. Feel free to ask me whatever but still answer to no one. It's your grimoire, go nuts!

Inauguran 4º versión de Fiesta de la Vendimia del Valle de San Antonio 2024.

Vinos costeros premium y maridajes de reconocidos chefs y cocineros locales, son parte de la atractiva experiencia enoturística que podrán vivir los asistentes a esta fiesta del vino, el próximo sábado 16 de marzo, desde las 11 horas, en Viña Hacienda San Juan, San Antonio.

El martes 05 de marzo se realizó el lanzamiento oficial de la 4º edición de la Fiesta de la Vendimia del Valle de San Antonio, iniciativa que contó con la presencia de la Alcaldesa de San Antonio, Constanza Lizana Sierra; el Director de Turismo, SERNATUR Región de Valparaíso, Marcelo Vidal; y el Gerente General de la Corporación Regional de Turismo de la Región de Valparaíso, Francisco Godoy, entre otras autoridades regionales y locales.

En la actividad, se presentaron las siete viñas del Valle de San Antonio, pertenecientes a la Asociación de Viñas del Valle de San Antonio, que participarán en esta edición de la fiesta enoturística y se invitó al público a ser parte de esta gran celebración que contará con catas de vinos exclusivos, pisoneo de uva, actividades infantiles, gastronomía de campo a mar y música en vivo a cargo del ensamble de melodías centroamericanas “Borde Costa” y la rumba flamenca de “Cheo Appel”.

En su intervención, la Alcaldesa de la Ilustre Municipalidad de San Antonio, Constanza Lizana Sierra, destacó la importancia de este evento para el desarrollo identitario y local de la zona: “Cuando pensamos en San Antonio, muchas veces pensamos sólo en el puerto y hoy día, gracias a la asociatividad y al trabajo colaborativo, sumado a las potencialidades que tenemos en nuestra región costera, con un valle profundamente fértil, viñas orgánicas y manejos sustentables de sus producciones, podemos mostrar a Chile y al mundo el tremendo potencial enoturístico que tiene San Antonio. Este evento -sin duda- es un gran aporte al desarrollo local de nuestra comuna”.

Durante el evento, se realizó una muestra gastronómica de platos típicos locales, degustación de vinos costeros premium y una presentación folclórica de la agrupación local “Cueca Brava”, con la que se entregó una pincelada de lo que se vivirá en esta nueva edición de la Fiesta de la Vendimia.

Francisco Freire, Representante de la Asociación de Viñas del Valle de San Antonio, indicó que “El objetivo de esta nueva edición es continuar impulsando la visibilización del valle vitivinícola de San Antonio, la Denominación de Origen de sus cepas emblemáticas, el resguardo del medio ambiente en que éste se desarrolla y la producción sustentable de sus vinos de clima frío, así como también, el fomento y apoyo al enoturismo y gastronomía vinculada al valle de San Antonio”, expresó.

Por su parte, el Director de Turismo, SERNATUR Región de Valparaíso, Marcelo Vidal, señaló que “si bien es cierto, somos una región que tiene la suerte de tener varios valles vitivinícolas, acá estamos en presencia de un valle joven, pionero y que tiene mucha influencia del mar en todos sus vinos de alta gama, por lo tanto, invitamos a todos los turistas que vengan a disfrutar de un gran fin de semana en este hermoso destino turístico en San Antonio. Venga a la Fiesta de la Vendimia y quédese el fin de semana completo”, dijo.

La Fiesta de la Vendimia

La invitación para ser parte de esta experiencia vitivinícola de primer nivel es para este sábado 16 de marzo de 2024, de 11:00 a 19:00 horas en la Viña Hacienda San Juan, ubicada en Camino Leyda a Santo Domingo, kilómetro 11, en la comuna de San Antonio (habrá estacionamiento en el lugar exclusivo para los asistentes).

Las viñas que participarán en esta 4º edición de la Fiesta de la Vendimia son 100% locales y su principal atractivo es que producen con una gran cercanía al mar, lo que les permite lograr vinos costeros premium de calidad inigualable y de exportación, ya que ningún otro valle de nuestro país produce con esta proximidad al océano pacífico. Hablamos de Viña Garcés Silva, Viña Leyda, Viña Matetic, Viña Casa Marín, Viña Casas de Bucalemu, Viña Ventisquero Ventisquero y la anfitriona Viña Hacienda San Juan; todos viñedos premiados internacionalmente por sus cepas Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay y Riesling, entre otras.

top ten remarkable moments in cycling history (i would like to updated it)

I like history, I like lists, and, of course, I like cycling.

In 2019, I proposed creating a collaborative list on Twitter to select the 10 most remarkable moments the history of cycling (yes, ambitious, I know). People chose their 10 moments, and in the end, after counting all the lists (about 40), these were the results:

Merano - Aprica, Giro d'Italia 1994. Battle between Pantani, Berzin and Indurain in Passo dello Stelvio, Valico di Santa Cristina, Mortirolo and Aprica.

Saint-Gervais - Sestrières, Tour de France 1992. Epic ride by Claudio Chiappucci in the Alps, through Iseran, Mont Cenis and Sestrières, in a brutal stage of 254 km.

San Lorenzo de El Escorial - Ávila, Vuelta a España 1999. Frank Vandenbroucke's mad attack on the Ávila walls, after destroy the concurrence in Navalmoral.

Venaria Reale - Bardonecchia/Jafferau, Giro d'Italia 2018. Chris Froome took the maglia rosa after a 80 km solo ride, with a powerful attack on Colle delle Finestre.

Versailles - Paris / Champs Elysées, Tour de France 1989. Dramatic time trial with Greg LeMond tacking the maillot jaune to Laurent Fignon by only 8 seconds.

Grenoble - Les Deux Alpes, Tour de France 1998. In the Tour of doping scandals, Marco Pantani took the maillot jaune to Jan Ullrich after an attack on Col de Galibier.

Charleroi - Liège, Tour de France 1995. Miguel Indurain attacks in the Ardennes with Johan Bruyneel on his wheel.

Saint-Jeanne-de-Maurienne - Morzine, Tour de France 2006. Floyd Landis did a Landis through the Alps. Saisies, Aravis, Colombière and Joux Plane were in the menu. In a few days after the Tour, Landis tested positive in testosterone.

Luxembourg, ITT, Tour de France 1992. Maybe the most brutal ITT performance in Tour history, done by Miguel Indurain (perhaps now is Combloux 2022...).

Road World Championships in Duitama, Colombia, 1995. Abraham Olano wins the rainbow jersey in the most hilly world championship ever. He arrives at the finish line with a flat tyre.

As you can see, the list was dominated by events from the 1990s, as many people who participate had lived those times in their childhood or adolescence. It was also a list in which Spanish or Spanish-speaking moments predominated, since most of the people who participated were from those backgrounds.

Now, I would like to update that list and give it a more 'international' view, with your colaboration. I believe many things have happened since 2020, don't you think? La Planche 2020, Granon 2022, Combloux 2023, some Lièges by Remco or Strades by Pogi, the duel between van der Poel and van Aert in Ronde 2020, the Pogi's Ronde...

So, here is my proposal: feel free to choose the 10 moments in the history of cycling that you consider to be the best—10 epic battles, 10 close sprints, 10 cute moments, 10 controversial moments, whatever. Whether it's women's or men's cycling, road, cross, or track, it doesn't matter. Moments you have experienced firsthand, or not, perhaps you have watched it on tv or even you read about it because they happened before you were born.

You can share this post by adding your list, or even include it in the tags. In a month, I will compile the results and I will also publish them here and on my blog (in Spanish). Thank you for your collaboration.

Alright, lets clear this up. Menstrual pain is symptomatic of a greater act. The uterus walls thicken than shed a layer. That is a whole lot of physical material growing in your person and then tearing apart. And the act takes place over weeks, symptoms can show up as early as a week before a menstrual flow displaying in back pain, strain in thighs, stomach cramps, nerve strain and even migraines. These symptoms can continue even and up to a week after a menstrual flow.

That’s weeks.

Not a single one but THREE weeks out of the month where the uterus is processing a cycle that can lead up to pain as small as a 1–3-day mild cramp session to a 3 weeklong pain roller coaster that has been sometimes interchangeable with labor pains.

Meanwhile their expected to behave copasetic all four weeks of the month. In anticipation of the rando time they might one day decide to be kid ready.

Is there a higher calling?

Actually, the real question you should be asking is 'Was the Iratze Rune made for any other reason?'

Hi I just saw your posts about not being credited for the runes on Shadowhunters and while that is really awful and they for sure should have asked you for help when they started making up runes for the show, some of the things said were really hurtful and upsetting as a fan of the show and the cast. Most of the fandom would be upset too if they knew about this, we could have tried to help you get the recognition you deserve. Freeform is the enemy here the show and cast don't deserve hate.

The studios behavioral choices toward myself and co. ranged from unprofessional to vile. Attempts to handle things discreetly were met with callousness. Their mishandling of many, many things led to the shows laughably inevitable downfall (much to my relief). I wish I felt as though fans would have had my back, in all honesty I felt they were so hyped for the TV Series content they were blind to my hardship and various other failings. I don’t know if I had a chance to do things differently, I doubt I’d have bitched about it publicly… I doubt it would have made a difference. Frankly I feel nothing would have saved the show from the get-go, but my edge of insight is different. Skewed certainly.

I’ve said not one negative word against the cast or crew who I’ve had no personal contact with and have only had negative things to say toward the dark corners of the fandom that followed in Freeforms’ suit and manipulated my runes toward their personal benefit. With such a MASSIVE example put forth I can’t say that I’m surprised but I can say that I’m hella disappointed.

Moving forward past the show and onto newer works (especially with my friends), having made officially new runes©🖤,helping with new books and being in talks with new and constant fans is my reward in the end! That cannot be taken away from me. Thank you for giving 2 shits about 👉🏽this here dumbshit.

City of Data: Part 1! Another set of Digimon sitting on my desktop for over a year. I had most of these planned out back when I did Tessa and Magnus. I really liked the concepts behind a lot of these, so I finally decided to just finish them and get them online.  This is the first of two YA books I had some Digimon ideas for! So, just be prepared for that whenever I get around to it. The rest of the main characters (of the TMI series) are to come!
