Uno dei buoni propositi che sto mettendo in pratica più spesso in questi giorni è provare nuove ricette, l'ultimo è stato un dahl di lenticchie rosse ieri sera con una mia amica in videochiamata. Lei preparava da casa sua, io da casa mia, tra una mescolata e l'altra abbiamo fatto più chiacchiere che cucinamento e alla fine comunque è venuto buono, credo. A me è piaciuto e tanto basta, ma era la prima volta che lo assaggiavo, quindi non so se ha la consistenza e il sapore che "dovrebbe" avere XD

È un po' strano come gusto, con il latte di cocco e il curry, sembrava il sugo dei gamberetti che faceva una volta il nostro vecchio ristorante cinese. Non avevo mai usato il latte di cocco così, e non sapevo nemmeno bene quale scegliere perché quelli da bere hanno una bassissima concentrazione rispetto al brick da 200 ml del reparto "roba etnica", che stava però a 15 euro al litro >_< alla fine li ho presi tutti e due, ma quello giusto è quello più denso del brick, con il 56% di cocco. La mia amica l'aveva in lattina, devo vedere dove altro posso trovarlo.

La prossima volta voglio provare anche con la farina di cocco, chissà se frullando bene viene giusto... lo scopriremo solo provando u_u che poi è anche il senso del proposito, e male che vada sbagliando si impara, no?

L'altro giorno invece ho finalmente fatto la marmellata con dei vecchissimi mandarini aspri e pieni di semi che ho ostinatamente conservato in frigo per un mese apposta. Dovevo provare la macchina del pane (che fa anche le marmellate appunto) prima di darla a mia mamma, dato che la sua si è rotta e la mia è uguale, ma non la usavo da un sacco. Poi lei ha detto che non la vuole più perché vuole che continui a usarla io e quindi ora ho un motivo in più per sperimentare di nuovo anche con il pane e le marmellate. Qui ho aggiunto una arancia della stessa età dei mandarini (un poco mollacchia ma ancora buona di sapore), un po' di succo di limone (questo era mezzo limone più giovane, "solo" della settimana prima XD), metà peso di zucchero e qualche cucchiaio di agar agar, che avevo un paio di bustine che stanno per scadere perché non faccio marmellate da una vita e ho scoperto che sono dosi tipo per millemila vasetti quindi vabbè poi semmai li userò da scaduti e amen. Tanto è un "preferibilmente entro" quindi si può fare, dai. Raga, la mia cucina è piena di ingredienti anziani, combinazione di buone intenzioni e poco tempo e procrastinazione cronica u_u però non ho ancora avvelenato nessuno, giuro!
La marmellata comunque è venuta buonissima ^_^

OMGGGG depends on what part of india u go to, but i would definitely tell u to eat idli, dosa, dhokla etc !!! the variety of food in this country is crazy honestly i'll tell you to just eat everything 🤭🤭🤭🤭 ofc roti/naan and curry or butter chicken is delicious but there's so much more to indian food than just curry but people just don't like to accept that 💀
but if u wanna eat something more fun, i suggest pani puri (its very basic but so good, one of my fave things to eat whenever i go out with my friends !!! ) and also vada pav !!!
