My TEFL Journey In a nutshell

Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Almighty, in the 2nd last year (2021), I have passed the 198 hours Level 5 TEFL certification course (168 guided hours + Teaching English online 30 hours) from The TEFL Academy. For those, who might want to know, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) involves teaching English abroad or online where English is not the primary language. TEFL educators can work for international and global schools, foreign companies, international organizations and associations, and internationally recognized universities, just to name a few. You can read more about my adventures in  Fahadventure.

I have been thinking about doing this since 2018, just after my Graduation from the Institute of Business Administration, Dhaka University (IBA, DU), Bangladesh, but could not really focus much as I got involved in corporate culture, after joining an event management company, namely Asiatic Experiential Marketing Limited. Later on, in May,2019, I joined a locally reputed bank, BRAC Bank where I continued to work for two and a half years. In the meantime, the overall lockdown phases during 2020 and 2021 finally came as a blessing among all those office workloads, few trips and some personal hassles which motivated me once again to work from home and pursue my dreams. This certificate is just like a passport to travel the world while I'll start working on attaining the visa i.e jobs abroad once it reopens. For now, I am exploring the online possibilities to start with. Check out the vacancies for better exploration.

Just after leaving the job of my previous organization, BRAC Bank, I got the opportunity to join a global platform within few months, named as "Native Camp" where my everyday work nowadays involves teaching and talking people online, mostly from China, Japan & Taiwan and I can't even explain how happy I am right now to have those sessions and exchange our thoughts with fun while doing so. I am also an avid learner and traveler with interest in knowing cultures and norms from all around the globe. I have worked for a very short time in this period with Lingua Roma, a global teaching company where I had to work with South Africans, Russians, French, Kenyans etc. Apart from that, while traveling in various parts of India and Thailand, I resided in the local hostels and houses to mingle with mixed races and know more about them. Being a TEFL tutor is a great way to build transferable skills, like communication, creativity, adaptability, critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership etc. It's been a tiring journey with lots of obstacles since I didn't know who to connect with for suggestions; specially anyone from my country. So, I had to look for international blogs, knock random people and gain idea on this. I would humbly request to expand my knowledge if anyone wants to know & explore this beautiful world together. All the candidates who are interested and are applying for the examination should be between 18 to 30 years of age. This age group is decided for the candidates of the general category.

For the candidates of the reserved category, the age relaxation is beyond 30 years.

For SC / ST candidates 5 years (i.e., the upper age limit is 35 years).

For OBC candidates 3 years (i.e., the upper age limit is 33 years).

For PWBD candidates, the exemption is of 10 years, subject to the condition that the maximum age of the candidate must not exceed 56 years on the crucial date of examination.

For PWBD + SC / ST candidates, the exemption is of 15 years, subject to the condition that the maximum age of the candidate should not exceed 56 years at the time of examination.

All the candidates belonging to Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers including ECO / SSCOs are also exempted with 5 years.

Caste / Category Certificates:

All the candidates who apply under any reserved category like SC / ST / OBC, they have to submit a valid Caste Certificate to consider their reservation.

 “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” is necessary for those who are already working under State Government / Central Government / PSU.

 Application Fees:

The application fees are to be submitted at the time of filling the online form of the exam.

 The fees’ structure is Rs. 1500/- for all the candidates, and

1200/- for the SC/ST category candidates.

The fees have to be paid by online means through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net-banking only.

 There are no fees for the PWD candidates. They are exempted from all fees.

 NOTE: ONCE THE APPLICATION FEES IS SUBMITTED, IT SHALL NOT BE REFUNDED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

 The following steps have to be followed to apply for the exam –

 Firstly, log in to the official website of AIIMS i.e., https://www.aiimsexams.ac.in/

On the home page, select the “RECRUITMENT” tab which is appearing along with other tabs.

 Under the recruitments tab, click on NURSING OFFICER’S tab.

  Under the NURSING OFFICERS tab, official notification will be there. Find it and download it for future references.

Then, click on the online application link to apply for the examination.

Before filling up the application form, keep ready all the required details needed to be entered in the online application form while applying.

Keep following the instructions in the form and fill the form carefully uploading all the documents required.

Make the payment of the fee as required.

Lastly, take out at least 2 printed copies of the online application form, and proof of payment for future references.

As seen below, the SSC CGL 2022 Examination will be divided into four tiers.

1.1 Tier I: Computer Based Test (Qualifying in nature)

1.2 Tier-II: Paper I (required for all positions), Paper-II for applicants seeking Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) positions with the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, and Paper III for those seeking Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer positions.

• Roll numbers and admit cards will be issued to all applicants who successfully applied for the SSC CGL exam, allowing them to appear in the computer-based examination (Tier-I).

• Candidates will be chosen for Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations based on their performance in Tier-I, category-wise.

• Separate cut-offs for Tier-II Paper-II (i.e. for Tier-II Paper-II) will be released separately.

• Candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, for the Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations based on the marks received in Tier-I.

• For Paper-I of Tier-II (for the position of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO)), Paper-III of Tier-II (for the positions of Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer), and Paper-I of Tier-II, individual cut-offs will be announced separately (i.e. for all other posts).

• All applicants who passed the Tier I exam will take the Tier II exam.

• All applicants will be required to take Papers I, II, and III in Tier II. To appear in Paper-II and Paper-III, however, only particular applicants who have been shortlisted for the positions of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) and Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer would be required to do so.

How to fill in SSC CGL Application Form 2022?

Step 1: Visit the SSC's official website, ssc.nic.in.

Step 2: On the SSC homepage, complete the captcha, enter your login information, and click Login.

Step 3: Go to the Apply Now button after logging in, then select the SSC CGL under the exams tab.

Step 4: Locate and click the apply now option under the SSC CGL Exam tab.

Step 5: The SSC CGL Exam Application Form will appear on the screen; complete it with the necessary information and select your exam site.

Step 6: Check the information carefully two or three times after entering it because SSC will not accept modifications made after the final submission.

Step 7: Upload your photo and signature in accordance with SSC requirements.

Step 8: Finish the SSC CGL application process by making the required online payments.

SSC CGL 2022 Application Fee

• Rs. 100 is the mandatory application fee.

• Exemption: Female, SC, ST, physically handicapped, and ex-serviceman applicants are not obliged to pay a fee.

• Only SBI should be used to pay application fees, whether through challans, SBI Net Banking, or credit/debit cards from other banks. Online-generated Challan forms will be used.

• After completing Part-1 registration, the candidate should print off the challan created online to make a cash payment. Continue with the Part-2 registration after paying the required amount in any SBI branch.

• After completing part-1 registration, candidates who wish to make payments online can proceed directly to part-2 registration. To proceed with Part-2 registration, the candidate must provide their registration number and date of birth.
