Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Costumes Part 6

The Ally Costume Token Exchange shop just became available in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game.

This shop contains all the costumes that have been released in the English or Global version of DFFOO.

Normally, you need to pay real money in order to get and be able to equip these costumes. But the game is planning to give players 2 Ally Costume Tokens for free. You can use this Token to exchange for a costume from the shop.

Sadly, the reason why we’re getting these Tokens for free is because DFFOO just announced that it will discontinue or end its service on February 29, 2024.

I talk more about that in another post, but that announcement came as a shock. Really wish that news wasn’t true. Wish the game wasn’t ending at all.

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Costumes List

Anyway, I talk more about this in another post but I already picked and got my 1st costume. Ended up choosing the 1st costume of Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII (#ad). Now I need to figure out which costume to pick with my 2nd Ally Costume Token.

Unfortunately, at the moment, I still have no idea which costume to pick. There are a lot of choices, and there are lots of costumes that I’d love to be able to have. I talk more about this in another post, but it’s really too bad that we can’t get them all even with the game ending soon.

So now gonna have to go through all the available costumes then try to decide which one to pick. Hopefully, I’ll be able to make a decision soon. Want to be able to make use of these costumes as much as possible before the game ends.

Anyway, below is a list of all the costumes that are available in the Global or English version of DFFOO.

Zack Fair from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII

Zack Fair from Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII has 2 costumes.

Zack's 1st costume looks basically the same as his default outfit so meh. This one's out.

I like Zack's 2nd costume though so this one's in for now.

Auron from Final Fantasy X

Auron from Final Fantasy X has 1 costume.

Auron's costume looks basically the same as his default outfit but he does look much younger in this one. This looks okay enough, but I think there are better costumes to choose from so this one's out.

Prishe from Final Fantasy XI

Prishe from Final Fantasy XI has 1 costume.

I like Prishe's costume better than her default outfit but I don't really use her all that much and she doesn't even have her own Force or FR weapon so this one's out.

Lilisette from Final Fantasy XI

Lilisette from Final Fantasy XI has 1 costume.

This looks pretty similar to Lilisette's default outfit so meh. This one's out.

Arciela V. Adoulin from Final Fantasy XI

Arciela V. Adoulin from Final Fantasy XI has 1 costume.

This looks basically the same as Arciela's default outfit so meh. Her hair is also tied up in some sort of bun in this one. But I prefer Arciela with her long hair down so this costume's out.

Kam'lanaut from Final Fantasy XI

Kam'lanaut from Final Fantasy XI has 1 costume.

Don't really like Kam'lanaut in this game and don't like this costume either so this one's out.

Vaan from Final Fantasy XII

Vaan from Final Fantasy XII has 2 costumes.

Vaan's costumes look nice enough but I prefer his default outfit so both of these are out.

Penelo from Final Fantasy XII

Penelo from Final Fantasy XII has 2 costumes.

I like Penelo's costumes better than her default outfit but sadly, she doesn't have her Force Board and Force Echoes feature so won't be able to use her much which is why both of these are out.

Balthier (Ffamran mied Bunansa) from Final Fantasy XII

Balthier (Ffamran mied Bunansa) from Final Fantasy XII has 1 costume.

This looks kinda the same as Balthier's default outfit so not really interested in this one.

Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca from Final Fantasy XII

Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca from Final Fantasy XII has 1 costume.

Ashe's costume looks nice but I like her default outfit too. Sadly, Ashe doesn't have access to the Force Board and Force Echoes feature either so this costume's out.

Fran from Final Fantasy XII

Fran from Final Fantasy XII has 1 costume.

Not really interested in Fran's costume so this one's out.

And that’s it for now. There are a lot more costumes to go through but have to continue in another post because already nearing the max limit of 30 pics per post in this one.

Larsa X Penelo vs Vaan X Penelo (Final Fantasy Debate Incoming)

For a long time, since I played FF12 The Zodiac Age back in May of 2019 (a while ago) I wanted to make this argument since I feel as if my opinion is always outnumbered by the mass opinion. The mass opinion in this case is Vaan X Penelo, a shipping in FF12 that goes on to have their own sequel. (Very sad if you ask me.) I’ve always detested that shipping, and for good reason. My alternative for Penelo has always been Larsa, and I will explain that later in my debate.

First I will explain why I think Vaan and Penelo do not make a good couple.

Vaan and Penelo’s relationship throughout the entire game seems to build in a very awkward way, if you can say it builds at all. It starts off with Penelo telling Vaan he can’t have bread unless he works. That’s fair...I guess...but then again wouldn’t she want him to eat regardless?

It’s alright Vaan, maybe you can find a soup kitchen in Rabanstre that will let you eat for free. (Because your “lover” apparently would rather have you starve?)  

She also takes money from Vaan that he steals, which again is technically “fair”, but he’s poor as hell for unfair reasons so shouldn’t Penelo just let him have it? (She should know what being poor is like. I hope.) They already start off on the wrong foot for me with their first cutscene. These scenes with them only get more and more awkward, and it seems more and more like Vaan and Penelo are just siblings who like to argue rather than lovers. (Maybe that’s why everyone ships them, because of people liking couples that argue with each other??) I’m sure if these two were the same gender, no one would ship them. Just saying.

Before I continue, I know I seem super critical of this ship and Penelo’s interactions with Vaan, but I’m not trying to insult anyone who happens to like them. I just really disagree with shipping and my opinion against it is stronger than nethicite itself lol.

Then we have Larsa’s relationship with Penelo, which from the get-go seems so much more genuine than Penelo’s relationship with Vaan. They fully respect each other, even though they come from two very different and polar opposite backgrounds. That in itself is another reason why I extremely prefer (no contest) Larsa and Penelo over Vaan and Penelo. The fact that they’re so different but so alike at the same time truly makes them the stronger bond in the end. Throughout the game, Larsa and Penelo have their moments, like their private discussion in which Larsa reassures Penelo that she has nothing to be afraid of despite Vayne being his brother.

Larsa seems very protective of Penelo, and from this moment on they seem to stick closely together in every situation. Penelo seems to be the only one to show concern when Larsa falls to the floor after he’s hit with a shockwave during their encounter with Vayne. 

And when Larsa falls for the second time, guess who the only one is to give a care?

This ship seriously starts taking over sometime in the second half of the game and I just have to wonder, why didn’t they let it happen? The age gap is small, they are a boy and a girl, where’s the controversy that prevents them from loving each other? Instead, in the end of FF12, Vaan takes off in an airship as Penelo watches his fly away and then in the sequel they fly around together in said airship. It makes NO sense and I find their relationship to be bare-bones stupid. I will say it entertains me with laughs, but not in the good way. They’re just stupid together. They’re those awkward siblings that argue because it’s fun.

I do get why this couple happened, unfortunately. (I don’t agree with it, but I still understand.) Japan has a thing with couples that start off being childhood friends. The problem with this scenario is, they started out as awkward siblings, not your typical childhood friends story. Japan, please realize that love can start later in life, too. Vaan and Penelo being canon in Revenant Wings is the sole reason why I’ve never played that game. And plus, Penelo looks kind of creepy.

At the end of the day, feel how you want about this, but know that I’m never going to feel for the whole Vaan and Penelo thing. (What is that ship even called, Vaanelo? Larnelo is more of my thing.)

Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia Special Title Draw Banners Gems Pulls Results Part 4

The Special Title Draw banners just showed up in the Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia (DFFOO) mobile game.

Sadly, the reason why these banners showed up is because DFFOO just announced that it will discontinue or end its service on February 29, 2024.

That announcement came as a shock. Really wish that wasn’t true. Wish the game wasn’t ending at all.

I talk more about that in another post. In this post, will talk about the results of my gem pulls on the Special Title Draw banners.

This is actually a continuation of other posts. Had to split the posts since the first 3 already reached the max limit of 30 pics per post.

Special Title Draw Banners Information

There are a total of 7 Special Title Draw banners. All the weapons that have been released up through November 21, 2023 will be available in these banners.

Special Title Draw Banner 1 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy XV, and Final Fantasy Type-0.

Special Title Draw Banner 2 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy VII.

Special Title Draw Banner 3 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy VIII, and Final Fantasy X.

Special Title Draw Banner 4 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy XIV, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

Special Title Draw Banner 5 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy XIII (#ad), and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.

Special Title Draw Banner 6 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy XI, and Final Fantasy Tactics.

Special Title Draw Banner 7 features all the weapons of chars from Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy XII, and World of Final Fantasy.

Here are the results of my gem pulls on the Special Title Draw banners.

A lot of my pulls just give me the usual bronze and silver trash and gold dupe/s.

As such, decided to only take a screenshot if I get a Force (FR) weapon and/or a Burst (BT) weapon regardless of if it’s new or a dupe. Will also take a screenshot if I actually get something new or something I haven’t fully max limit broken yet even if it isn’t a FR and/or BT.

Will also take screenshots if I get an interesting enough draw like if an unusually high number of golds show up or something.

Got a 15cp dupe as well as my 1st copy of Yuri's (from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates) FR.

A force orb gave me dupes of Krile Mayer Baldesion's (from Final Fantasy V) Ex, Serah Farron's (from Final Fantasy XIII) 35cp, and Faris Scherwiz's (Sarisa Scherwil Tycoon from Final Fantasy V) FR.

My 1st copy of Faris's FR hasn't been limit broken at all.

Got dupes of Kuja's (from Final Fantasy IX) BT, Penelo's (from Final Fantasy XII) 35cp, Vaan's (from Final Fantasy XII) 35cp, and Llyud's (from Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings) FR.

My 1st copy of Llyud's FR has been limit broken once.

A Burst orb gave me my very 1st copy of Jegran’s (from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers) BT.

Another Burst orb gave me my very 1st copy of Snow Villiers's (from Final Fantasy XIII) BT.

Got 2 15cp dupes as well as a dupe of Neon's (from Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin) FR.

Got dupes of Alisaie Leveilleur's (from Final Fantasy XIV) 35cp and Edward Chris von Muir's (from Final Fantasy IV) LD.

My 1st copy of Edward's LD hasn't been limit broken yet.

A force orb gave me 2 15cp dupes as well as a dupe of Yda Hext's (from Final Fantasy XIV) FR.

My 1st copy of Yda's FR hasn't been limit broken yet.
