Finfin Junior leaves the nest

I have been following this junior since their hatching on september 2nd, it has been wonderful and stressful (They were addicted to trying to get poisoned!) Despite being one of the two play testers for finfin on qemu (In fact this version is an unreleased version of finfin on qemu) I had yet to see finfin junior leave until now. But I did find out he could get poisoned on like the first few days of this version so that's cool!

Make sure to check the video description! Also I am SO sorry that there's a discord notification in this video, the person who messaged me will be mauled by v-rexes for this.

Entry 1

Date: 4/23/2024 Approx. Time Frame: 4pm-5:30pm Days since first contact: 7 Locations Visited: 3 - Amile Forest - Tsubu Woods - Rem River Bank Creatures Sighted: - Finfin - Spidasaures - Clippy (Freaky Bird) - Pepperfish - V-Rex (With picture!) - Palm Tree Snake - Essie

Amile Forest - Said hello to Finfin - Finfin left

Tsubu Woods - Followed Finfin to Tsubu Woods - Didn't make much noise, but Finfin left. Perhaps he was annoyed with my presence. Or maybe he got bored with my silence (Can he hear in the woods?) - Spidasaures sighting - Clippy (Freaky Bird) sighting 1 - Finfin arrived, but promptly left. I was beginning my written notes, I didn't notice him until I heard his wings flapping. Again, I had made little to no noise, so this wasn't a case of scaring him off - I heard a sound like a single ring followed by a swoop sound. I was tabbed out, and when I opened the window, there was no trace of whatever made the noise. Strange? Was that you? - Pepperfish sighting 1 - V-Rex! I captured a picture. I was waiting for the right moment, right where he was in the middle. Perhaps I waited too long. I'll see when I look at the image when posting.

[As seen above, the picture turned out alright. The vegetation is covering him up a bit, but overall it's about as good as it can be. I was concerned that his eye would be covered up, but it's visible, albeit barely. Something to note is the color of the Tsubu Woods. The woods is usually depicted in blue colors. Is the color of the Tsubu Woods seasonal, or perhaps depend on the time of day?] - A sound like this: gon-gon-gon-nyeeh, gon-gon-gon-nyeeh, gon-gon-gon nyeeeeeeeeeeeh. No visual to accompany it, or at least, none that I saw - Clippy (Freaky Bird) sighting 2 - Finfin arrived and sang a short song - Finfin did flips around the tree branch and flew around the trunk while singing a jaunty tune! - Finfin again did flips and sang - Finfin flew very close to the screen as Tsubu nuts sprinkled down in the background - Finfin flipped and sung for a third time. He seems very playful today - Finfin was wagging his tail while facing away. Did he poop while I was writing my notes? - The gon-gon-gon-nyeeh noise returned but was immediately followed by Finfin's yawning before the noise properly faded out. How funny! - Finfin is very tired, it seems! He's yawning and murmuring so much... - Finfin left, Tsubu nuts falling in his wake - Palm Tree Snake! I recognized the sound of her slithering long before she appeared on-screen. She looked as lovely as ever - Pepperfish sighting 2

Rem River Bank - I decided to switch to Rem River Bank, my favorite location, while doing some things - Clippy (Freaky Bird) sighting 3. I think I had seen in the encyclopedia that they can appear here, but I had forgotten. What a nice surprise! - I heard some underwater noises, but I didn't notice any visuals - Finfin arrived and began swimming - Some technical issues as my program went to screensaver. Once I was fully back, Finfin was flying - Finfin landed on the rock and began cheeping at me. Can he hear me? I wonder if this game really does differentiate between him in the water and him outside of the water in terms of him being able to respond to microphone activity. It either does that or microphone activity just doesn't work when he's in Rem River Bank at all, I'm sure - It seems Finfin had left at some point. I'm sad I didn't notice. I swear I don't ignore you on purpose, Finfin! - Clippy (Freaky Bird) sighting 4 - Essie! She's bigger than I thought she was, judging by the one head I was able to see on the side of the screen - Dinnertime for me. I concluded by Teo-watching for the time being

Date: 5/4/2024 Approx Time Frame: 3:45pm-4:05pm Days Since First Contact: 18 Locations Visited: 3 - Amile Forest - Tsubu Woods - Rem River Bank Creatures Sighted: - Finfin (With pictures!) - Shell Beetle (With pictures!) - Clippy - Essie - V-Rex (With pictures!)

Amile Forest - Met up with Finfin in the Amile Forest - He was in the middle of singing! - I talked to him a brief bit before he flew away - While he was flying away, I heard a higher-pitched call. Must be Finnina! - I took a picture of the Amile Forest with lovely cone cloud formations in the background

[Something I only noticed after the fact, in this picture, only one cone cloud can be seen. In the next few Amile Forest pictures, you can see a second cone cloud start to form on the left] - Shell Beetle sighting! It tumbled into frame, flew around a bit, perched on the closest branch, and flew away

Tsubu Woods - Tsubu Woods really is getting greener and greener!

[I find it so fascinating how dynamic the colors of the Tsubu Woods are. This place changes nearly every time I visit!] - The wind is howling through the trees... it's a bit spooky - Clippy sighting, weaving in between the trees for quite a while - The wind slowed while Clippy was flying around and stopped after it was gone. It was almost like Clippy had cleared the wind away

Rem River Bank - Caught up with Finfin at Rem River Bank - Finfin had his head sticking out of the water when I arrived. Soon after, he caught a fish that jumped out of the water!

[Finfin grabbing a bite to eat!] - Finfin left with his catch - Essie sighting. It left before I could get a picture. True to its namesake, it's quite hard to photograph here! - I must say, I adore the flowers in the background. Part of why Rem River Bank is my favorite place on Teo

Tsubu Woods - Visited Finfin in Tsubu Woods - He was in the middle of flying around the right tree and singing - He flitted around for a bit before returning to the right tree and singing his song again - Finfin left, now there is only the sound of howling wind - Picture of the Tsubu Woods today (~11am)!

[Similar but notably different color from my picture in Entry 1] - The wind stopped. Now, only silence. Eerie...

Secret Inlet - Noting the Tsubu Wood's color reminded me to check the Perna Lotus Flowers, relating to an odd observation back in Entry 2 where they just disappeared out of nowhere - The lotuses are still absent. Maybe rollover to Late April really did occur at a bizarre time back then - Heartbird sighting - I heard V-Rex! No visuals to accompany it that I saw. I know in Rem River Bank, you can see V-Rex in the background sometimes, but I didn't spot anything in the background here - Palm Tree Snake! Took some pictures of her majesty

[Can you tell she's my favorite?] - Unidentified dolphin-bird stuck their head out of the water and sighed. Who are you??? I've heard speculation, but I need confirmation! Tell me your name! - Piki Seal! Grabbed a couple pics! Here's one of them

Amile Forest - Caught up with Finfin in the Amile Forest - He was on the close branch when I arrived, but when I offered a yellow Lemo Fruit, he flew off to the far treetop - He soon flew to the left branch, and I took a pic (~11:20am)!

[Something to note is that the clouds in the background are in these sort of cirrus shapes] - We had a nice moment as I dictated out loud while writing my notes and Finfin listened - Finfin flew away. See you later! - A lovely little plant driften across my screen! Got a bunch of pictures! Here are a couple of them

[Seems to be a Floating Flora. It seems to be orange instead of the light pink seen in the Encyclopedia. Maybe color is random or seasonal?] - Shulu Bird! It's far in the distance, but I grabbed a picture anyway

[Even Finfin Jr. looked on at it!] - I am so scared for Finfin Jr.... He got so close to the lemodoki on the right multiple times. I kept thinking he was going to try to eat it - Hoverfly! Got a couple of pictures of it and Finfin Jr.!

[I think it's stated in the Encyclopedia that Hoverfly and Finfin are friends. I wonder if they will be, too] - Seems like Finfin Jr. is trying to get the hang of flying!

[He got a little bit off the ground for a while, just gotta work on that endurance!] - Finfin Jr. kicked a rocked up in the air, and it landed on his head. The poor thing began crying. Pictures if you're a miserly old coot who loves to see children in distress

[Would it be a bad look to post these pictures separately? Eh, I'll decide later] - Finfin Jr. went back to the den and is calling out. Finfin come pick up your son from soccer practice - Finnina's here!

I’m under personal belief that the v-Rex in finfin does not exist. But that’s only because the only picture I’ve seen of them is the pre-rendered one from the encyclopedia, I just think they just have a noise play

But for some reason I have an easier time believing the gminfly is real even though it’s the same situation where I’ve only seen the pre-rendered image. And no I do not know why

Anyways if anyone has any in game screen shots of these beasts I would like to know

Ok I know I just reblogged some vague evidence that v-rex exists but this one is scary

24 years and no beast…

Maybe it could be dependent on how well you “care” for finfin? I doubt it but it would be interesting, like maybe you just never interact at all maybe that could trigger the event for v-rex
