beth and me have talked about it a lot. but i wanna talk about alice in tangled a bit more okay cause like.

Alice is a lil girl who lives in old corona, she's quiet, she's shy, she follows her mom or sister around like a lost puppy when she can. she walks around with bruises visible, and flinches away from people.

Then Alice disappears for an extended amount of time, and just comes back and shes just kinda like that now. A lil more weird and a lil louder than before. She has far more bruises and wounds, but she's also going up to other children and grabbing them to play. and she keeps talking about absolute nonsense.

and other adults just keep going up to Quirin begging him to do something because everyone knows what's happening with helen. Everyone thinks that Alice's disapperance with just extended abuse. But what can Quirin do to the Kingsleigh family? Helen is a very high ranking noble. What can he do? But everyone in Old Corona keeps begging him, and so he promises to keep an eye on her.

But jesus christ how can u keep an eye on a child who's willing to run head first into a charging horse and what the fuck did she just put in her mouth and where the fuck did she go she was literally just here??? And just, basically, Quirin just kinda shoves Varian at Alice hoping that either the two of them will cancel eachother out, or one of them will be a good influence, or at absolute bare minimum, Varian will probably tell Quirin about their 'adventures'.

Also, how long was alice gone? Well, no one's really sure??? Cause it wasn't weird to not see her for a few days. They know that at least two to three weeks passed. But it might have been longer. All they know is that Alice wasn't so shy and had a sword when she came back lol

"Oh, that's simple--" Alice doesn't seem to stop looking around as she replies, even lifting up the bottom few branches on a nearby bush. "The cat owes me money, and the rabbit insisted I was running late despite being twenty minutes early. He disappeared down a rabbit hole and I can't find another to follow after him."

Alice rightens herself, and offers a smile, "Wanna help me look?"

’Talk to the other kids in town, it’ll be good for you.’ Yeah, thanks dad, what part of this is good for him?!

“A…rabbit in a–” He starts to repeat, before shaking his head. “No, I haven’t seen anything like that.”

Nickname: Well V is the one most people know but hardly anyone calls me that anymore. Finch calls me Renny but it sucks and he does it to bother me. And beloved calls me sunshine!

Gender: Female

Star Sign: Sagittarius, and I guess it's fitting! At least that's what I heard. I don't really know a lot about that stuff but it's fun to read horoscopes anyway!

Height: a painfully average 5'6"...it would be so cool to be taller. Something like...6'3". I just want to see the world from up high, you know? How fun would that be?

Orientation: Bi ace *finger guns*

Nationality/Ethnicity: American. And wait! My mom is French so that makes me half French. Does that matter? Is that part of it? I don't know, I get nationality and ethnicity mixed up and don't really know what they mean.

Fave Fruit: Any fruit dipped in chocolate. If it's not dipped in chocolate I don't want to see it.

Fave Season: Summer! Sun and good vibes, can't ask for much else.

Fave Flower: Sunflowers, they're so big and bright and colorful I'm OBSESSED!

Fave Scent: Am I weird if I say cigars? I feel like that's weird. But it's nostalgic! It reminds me of my dad.

Coffee, tea or hot chocolate: Coffee. Coffee is my true soulmate.

Average hours of sleep: What is sleep

Dog or Cat person: You know something, I don't think I have ever seen a dog. But I've seen some coyotes, and they're pretty cute. Can't really go near 'em though (even if they look very pettable)...so by default- cat person!

Dream trip: Somewhere snowy!!!! I have never, ever seen snow and it's number 1 on my bucket list.

Favorite fictional character: Okay there's this old (really old) movie called This is Spinal Tap (perks of having an ancient partner...he shows me all sorts of awesome stuff...don't tell him I called him ancient). There's a character called Nigel Tufnel- I think I'll go with him, mostly because I'm jealous of his guitar collection.

Number of blankets they sleep with: I like to hunker down with a couple of 'em, the bigger the better. And so many pillows! Even if I can't sleep, it's still nice to lay in the dark all comfy-like.

Random fact: THIS IS SO VAGUE, wait lemme think. Ok ok ok, I really like baseball! I guess it's not that interesting but...it is pretty random. And it's something you wouldn't expect, right? Riiiiight?

[ BFFs MAKEOVER PART 1 ]

I decided to take on a little makeover slash revamping project and I thought the BFFs would be the perfect first try. It's also my first attempt at doing these lookbook thingies. Obviously the lookbooks are meant to showoff the custom content other simmers make, but in my case, I tend to mix and match items in-game with custom content. So, these are my lookbooks for the trio!

I like color-coding my sims so I just took whichever defining color they had in their default design.

Travis Scott is our red boi. He looks kinda like tom holland, if I'm being honest but that's because of the eyes. the eyes are custom content so he looks real good. I didn't spend a lot of time on him. I, surprisingly, find it easier to speed through dressing up male sims because of how minimalistic men's fashion are and it's not necessarily a bad thing. Because of how categorical men's fashion is, it's also easy to know what to look for when dressing them up. Travis should give off basic white boi vibe, and that's okay!

Liberty Lee gets purple and yellow, mostly purple, tho, which I think is a really mystical color palette and suits how out of the three of them, she probably has the most defining trait. Travis and Summer are pretty straight to the point, and one could argue Liberty is as well, but I kinda revamped her as well and I played her as this Luna Lovegood type of character who surprises you with her hidden depths.

Summer Holiday is your typical cheerleader, popular girl trope but I gave it my own twist and instead of being this Regina George character, I wanted her to be someone who, yes, is a cheerleader and popular, but she's really just friendly and comes from old money, hence the more toned down, but still fancy looks.

I also headcanon that she gets along well with Liberty despite what the game wants for them and even gives Liberty some fashion advice, and Liberty has also grown comfortable in telling Summer about her troubles as a fellow young lady. They both DO love Travis, but I reeeeally wanted to develop it into a more platonic bond.

Some of my Sailor Moon headcanons for your considerations:

Manga:

Before Beryl found them again, the reincarnated Shitennou were on occasion bumping into and being drawn in by Mamoru much the same way the Inners were with Usagi.

Kunzite worked as a security guard at one point, a job obviously not dissimilar to his role as body guard in the Silver Millennium. During one night shift he had an encounter with Tuxedo Mask.

Before Usagi became Sailor Moon, Sailor V and Tuxedo Mask also had an encounter similar to the one from the opening scene of PGSM. PGSM had input from Takeuchi and was originally intended to be a more faithful manga adaptation than the 1992 anime, so this is good enough for me to say it is essentially 'author approved'

The Thyron Crystal that Pharaoh 90 possesses was to the Tau Nebula what the Silver Crystal was to the Solar System. Basically, had Metalia's plans succeeded the Solar System would have wound up much the same as the Tau Nebula

Since Pharaoh 90 never knew about the Silver Crystal (whilst the other Chaos extensions did) and required Mistress 9 to act as a host body for him Pharaoh 90 was probably the first and most primitive of Chaos' creations

Nehalennia's 'curse' that Serenity would die was less her invoking an actual magic spell and more her sort of being cryptic about how Metalia was already lying in wait within the Sun

Princess Serenity/Usagi is an 'extension' of Queen Serenity, in much the same way Metalia, Nehalennia, etc are extensions of Chaos

The Amazon Stones that the Sailor Quartet wield are basically just their Star Seeds

It was Queen Serenity who implanted the Quartet's stones on Earth, concerned that if Serenity got pregnant, her future grandchild would need protectors

'Sailor Galaxia' is not an actual Senshi title. That was just a moniker the villain we know (and fear) adopted for herself as an act of aggrandisement. She should actually be Sailor

The Amazoness Quartet existed during the Silver Millennium and were originally the children of circus families

Usagi never turned back time when she restored Nehalennia to her childhood. She literally de-aged her just as she did with Hotaru and reconstituted the atoms of her entire Kingdom and people, resurrecting them completely

The Dark Kingdom was in fact a subterranean kingdom on Earth during the Silver Millennium. Its members were not human, but rather minerals made flesh through Metalia's evil energy, shaped by the collective dreams and nightmares of humanity

By extension 'Metalia' is in fact a mutilated pronunciation of 'mother' by the Youma.

Some Youma survived the fall of the Dark Kingdom at the end of season 1 and would go on to be the ancestors of the Black Moon Clan

Following Nehalennia's second defeat, Setsuna moved in with Hotaru and Professor Tomoe

Because Galaxia's Star Seed was drawn to Usagi, it instinctively adopted a physical form that resembled both her and Chibi-Usa, accounting for why Usagi and the gang noticed similaried between ChibiChibi and Usagi/Chibi-Usa

In Crystal Tokyo, the gang have so thoroughly mastered their Senshi abilities that they can transform into any level that they desire, standard Senshi, Super Senshi, Eternal Senshi, etc. This is why in Season 2 we see them in their normal Senshi outfits despite them having unlocked their Super forms in the series.

VERSUS COMEBACK

during this time, the boys ( including JAESUN ) will be having their music show promotions starting on JANUARY 16 in ‘THE SHOW’. the promotions will go on for three weeks. as for their wins, VERSUS would have won number one in the music charts 4 times ( 2 from THE SHOW, 1 from SHOW! CHAMPION, 1 from M! COUNTDOWN, and 1 from MUSIC BANK; all except the second THE SHOW win were during the second week of promotions. the second THE SHOW win was during the third week of promotions )

ALEX, YEONWOO, and TEE will be making a guest appearance on HANWOO RADIO with BTOB’s EUNKWANG as the DJ for JANUARY 17TH’s episode. during that segment, the members will talk about their thoughts regarding their album, play some quiz games about their group and members, and answer some fan letters.

the three of them will also be featured on the JANUARY 26TH, FEBRUARY 2ND, and FEBRUARY 16TH episodes of ‘STARS’ TOP RECIPE FOR FUN-STAURANT’ as the guest panelists where they will be reacting and commenting on some of the unique dishes made related to the central theme ( for this, it will be SNACKS ). filming wise, all of this will be done over the course of 1-2 days and done whenever all three of them have free days in their schedule.

in between all of this, they will also be having fansign events with their fans which will last until FEBRUARY 3.

LUNAR NEW YEAR GREETINGS

a couple of days before LUNAR NEW YEAR ( FEBRUARY 10 ), all of the VERSUS members will be dressed up in traditional clothing and record a lunar new year greeting for all of the fans which will be posted on the V&A’s youtube channel.

PROJECT ORIGIN EXHIBITION & SHOWCASE

“with the release of the OSTs and the start of the animation series, LEGACY has invited the debuted groups to take part in the PROJECT ORIGIN EXHIBITION & SHOWCASE, which is scheduled to happen on FEBRUARY 23. on this day, there will be the unveiling of the exhibition where the costumes used during both the original and second reiteration of the musical will be displayed. among that are some of the memorabilia we have collected from all of the groups participating, so this includes costumes and props used during some of the past future dreams seasons, year end ceremonies and much more.” KYUHWAN continues on while remaining enthusiastic about the whole event. “later on that day, there will be a showcase where the groups will be performing the webtoon OSTs and since this will be happening after the airing of the future dreams season 7 finale, YEONWOO will be given a chance to perform ‘BAD 4 U’.”

V&A REACTS TO…

the ‘V&A REACTS TO’ series has resumed once again, this time they will be doing it with one video to promote their senior artist, HARU! HARU will be releasing ‘WIND AND WISH’ on MARCH 19, but because of schedules they will be inviting YUSHIN, JIHO, and YEONWOO ( also known as YUJIWON ) to react to their song. the reaction will be posted on MARCH 21 and will include the other legacy artists.

K2MT POD

just like YUJIWON had their own podcast months ago, this time around it will be KEEHO, MAXIMILIAN, ALEX, and TEE. this will follow a similar pattern with YUJIWON’s pod in that they will have a set number of episodes and discuss various topics. most of these will be filmed sometime around FEBRUARY to MARCH depending on their schedules.

EPISODE 1 ( KEEHO, MAXIMILIAN, ALEX, TEE / AIRING MARCH 20 ): introduction of the podcast, hobbies that they’re into nowadays, thoughts about the latest fashion trends.

EPISODE 2 ( KEEHO / AIRING MARCH 27 ): getting to know KEEHO. since it’s a solo podcast episode, it would basically be an episode about getting to know him, his interests, his legacy audition, concept(s) you want to try, show that you want to be a part of, etc. 

EPISODE 3 ( MAXIMILIAN / AIRING APRIL 3 ): getting to know MAXIMILIAN. since it’s a solo podcast episode, it would basically be an episode about getting to know him, his interests, his legacy audition, concept(s) you want to try, show that you want to be a part of, etc. 

EPISODE 4 ( KEEHO & TEE / AIRING APRIL 10 ): adapting into the korean culture, differences between their birthplace and korea, foods or drinks that they’ve missed in their birthplace.

EPISODE 5 ( ALEX / AIRING APRIL 17 ): getting to know ALEX. since it’s a solo podcast episode, it would basically be an episode about getting to know him, his interests, his legacy audition, concept(s) you want to try, show that you want to be a part of, etc.

for the SOLO episodes, the other members will be present there ( behind the camera ) and give any commentary or ask any questions for the one hosting.

YEONWOO & TEE’S ( WONTEE ) BIRTHDAY LIVESTREAMS

since YEONWOO and TEE have birthdays one day apart ( YEONWOO - FEBRUARY 26, TEE - FEBRUARY 27 ), legacy decided to have a joint birthday livestream for the two of them. on FEBRUARY 26 in the afternoon, the two of them will be having a 45 minute livestream where they will be in a leatherworking studio and create customized wallets to give to 2 lucky fans. during this time, they will be answering fan questions and talking about any moments that have been special to them in the past year or so. near the end of the session, KYUHWAN will be giving them birthday cakes and singing happy birthday for the two idols. 

ALEX’S BIRTHDAY LIVESTREAM

for ALEX’s birthday ( which is on MARCH 5 ), he will having his birthday livestream with the fans in his studio! during the livestream, ALEX will be playing some online multiplayer games with the fans. in between the waiting and break sessions, ALEX will answer some fan questions about his wishes, goals, and what he would like to accomplish in 2024. the livestream will be around 45 minutes long and near the end of the session, KYUHWAN will surprise ALEX with a birthday cake and sing happy birthday.

NEW MEMBERS, JAESUN’S DEPARTURE

later on in the meeting, the VERSUS members are introduced to two new people by KYUHWAN; KUROSAWA AKIO and PARK SEOJIN.

“i believe all of you are familiar with each other thanks to lgc spring boys, am i right?” KYUHWAN looks at both sides for confirmation before jokingly adding, “i guess i can skip the introductions for that.” but he knows with limited time available, he does his best to get straight to the point. “AKIO and SEOJIN will be joining VERSUS so please take this bit of time to help them get adjusted to their new life.” 

KYUHWAN turns his head towards AKIO and SEOJIN, “while it is unfortunate that both of you won’t be able to participate in this month’s gigs due to everything that is going on, the company felt that this would be the best time to start learning and getting well-acquainted with VERSUS discography. in the meantime, all of you are expected to keep this a secret with everyone in legacy until the time comes, which will be in a few months once we get past through the promotions.” 

AKIO and SEOJIN will not be able to participate in OPEN EVENTS 006, 007 or 008 in the meantime and all of their instagram posts for JANUARY-MARCH will be under the LGCENT instagram for now.

sometime around FEBRUARY 5, all of the VERSUS members will be having another short but urgent meeting with KYUHWAN as they are told that JAESUN has left the company. because of the sudden news, there will be some changes made regarding the group positions and dorm arrangements.

for the group positions, it will be the following:

KIM ALEX: LEAD VOCALIST, LEAD RAPPER

KUROSAWA AKIO: MAIN DANCER, VOCALIST

PARK SEOJIN: LEAD VOCALIST

PONGSAK TEE: MAIN RAPPER, LEAD DANCER, VOCALIST

WON YEONWOO: LEADER OF VERSUS, MAIN VOCALIST, LEAD DANCER

due to the timing of the addition of the new members, the group positions may gradually change over time but this is what the current roles will look like in the meantime.

as for the dorm arrangements, it will be the following:

ROOM A: KIM ALEX, KUROSAWA AKIO, PONGSAK TEE

ROOM B: PARK SEOJIN, WON YEONWOO

with the changes going on, KYUHWAN expresses that during this time most of the VERSUS members will be undergoing intensive workshops and training to help prepare themselves from future projects. this will also mean that for ALEX, TEE, and YEONWOO they will be doing individual or group activities with each other or the AGITO members to help VERSUS’ fame after JAESUN’s departure. he will also give feedback to the members, which can be best summarized below ( skills listed to the name are the ones to prioritize in that order ):

ALEX: RAPPING, DANCING

AKIO: KOREAN, SINGING, PERFORMANCE, ENGLISH

SEOJIN: DANCING, PERFORMANCE ( optional: ENGLISH )

TEE: PERFORMANCE, ENGLISH, ACTING

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIII hehe <3 this is going to be a bit long i'm sorry in advance ... but I started buying kpop albums in like. my last year of middle school maybe?? back when i was still living in belgium (and those are still at my parents' house with my later purchases when we moved to spain). so i don't have my full collection here!! i'll still mention the full one just bc i can and bc some of my personal favourites are back there and not with me rn, but!!

my criteria for buying albums changed a lot with time i think!! nowadays i mainly buy albums if i really like the way it looks (the packaging) and/or when i know i will enjoy the photobook (mostly if i really loved the concept pics for a given version!) . or if i Really want some of the inclusions (i'm currently debating buying the upcoming nmixx album because im absolutely in love with the silly little fluffy keychain guy that comes with the ? limited edition i think...) . i used to often buy any album of a group i was REALLY into (and thus my skz collection despite not really being into their music as much anymore, for example), though, or albums that i really liked from a musical standpoint (which is why i am...the owner of a jay park album....................,)

what's also interesting to mention is that before i ever started buying kpop albums i WAS buying jpop albums, actually!! my collection of those isn't as huge (in part bc they're way more expensive, and in part because i pretty much stopped getting those soon after getting into kpop). so. if u'll allow me. i'll add these to this post as well.... they're still v important to me </3

now i wanna be a little annoying and talk about them sorry . first of all, currently on display are these: (as well as my cravity photobook and one of my victon the future is now albums on other shelves).

unsure how to talk about every album individually without being super annoying so. being annoying will have to do. but soooo . starting with what i have Here at my place.

my entire skz collection is currently in a box, but i am you was my first album purchase after i moved here, from my trusty kpop store (musica i love u). i really, really love the way its cover looks!!! most skz photobooks are varying from boring to ugly (so do the packagings, since go live)(it all started going downhill with god's menu i'm sorry to be saying this but it's true), but i quite like this one and the levanter one!!! and the mixtape album is also cute in a way!

i also really like the nostalgia album (and so does my mom, btw, which i can't say about most of my photobooks sadly). the way the box is cut also made it perfect to help me display one postcard at a time on my display shelf for a while lol also i really love this album from a musical standpoint! i remember looping it a lot in my compsci labs . . . the other two victon albums i pre-ordered after seeing the concept pictures . . . they were princes for me..... if there's one thing you have to know about me it's that i will always be insane about a prince/royalty/knight concept. also they had like pc-sized little ?? mirrors?? idk but that's rlly cute it's hanging off my bookshelf rn. and i really like my fame album as well because....well i like swoo. and the photocards were really cute!!!!

the ace album i absolutely LOVE from a visual standpoint it's SO pretty (my mom doesn't understand its beauty sadly). it's so pretty it will always be on display idc i love it... it's also very thin and while that's sad (i could take 238472983749823 more of those pictures) it also helps it maintain a very . . . . fancy look i think

the forest fairy concept for the cravity s2 album that i got is close enough to the royalty concept and thus it was SO for me... it rlly reminds me of lovelyz's a new trilogy photobook and that's been my favourite photobook (that i had) for a LONG long long time like.... i really love is SO much. and this vity one really compares to it i love it just as much!!! and thus i had to have it. well, that, and also i have had this album looped for like most of the year it came out in? like i listened to it an abnormal amount. like. a worrying amount. season 3 i pre-ordered and i'm not as satisfied with it visually (i don't rlly like it to be honest) but it has call my name and thus i had to have it also. i've been Obsessed with call my name since the prologue video for this album was released and That is why i pre-ordered it despite not liking any concept pictures it was just THAT important... call my name i love you

border: carnival!!! this one is very important to me on a personal level... both visually and musically. drunk-dazed is still so insane i still don't know what kind of drug they put in it but dear god. and i love mixed up a whole lot too... visually, the box is really pretty despite being simple like. it just fits anywhere really. makes a little statement... there's like. not MUCH to it but it's not ugly like most skz boxes these days, for example. and the photobook is so......important to me i love it so bad i don't get bored of it ever. i just love this concept so much... (surprisingly way more than the prince concept, which u might or might not have noticed... i have Not bought. i didn't like it as much. the One prince concept that i didn't rlly vibe with as much). the scylla ver. of dimension: dilemma is much more my style!! and thus. i really love that one a lot as well <3 odysseus ver. i don't like as much unfortunately but that was a gamble on my part in the first place (i mostly just trusted the blurred gradients on the album preview pictures for this one bc it looked pretty. and well. sunset colours wise it still does. the concept itself just doesn't do it for me). one thing about enhypen is that when they decide to have beautiful photbooks, they WILL have BEAUTIFUL photobooks. the half ver of dark blood i so absolutely beautiful . the other thing you need to know about me is that i go insane about water shots (in water photoshoots and like .... pool scenes in mvs like. txt run away or &team under the skin). this one was just so for me it's insane. also the outer cover for this one is a really beautiful colour it's like... navy... it's so pretty . additional fact is that the group photocards from enhypen albums are some of my fave photocards they're so cute

one thing about hybe is they will release albums that i will want to own. as you could see on my list one day i just went on a full txt spree like i went absolutely insane at the store like idk what possessed me but... i mean i don't regret it. i love these albums to my core. for tdc: magic, it's about the photobook - first of all the photobook is in the format of like. a spiral notebook abt i find that SO cute (and also practical in a way)(although i would hate if that was the default for photobooks, just to be clear). but like . it's just. idk how to describe it... it's Magical?? the darkness the glitter it's so...beautiful.... i love it so much.... the eternity ones are like. little diaries and that's ABSOLUTELY adorable??? i mostly like the version with the.... magical lullaby concept as i like to call it (there's beds there's stars there's . purple and there's . vibes), but since the diary idea is so cute i kinda just caved in and got both... and then comes freeze which i think i preordered? all three versions because all the concept pictures were just so good. and i don't regret this choice at all even today i don't know which version i would choose if i could buy only one. these photobooks are absolutely. beautiful...

my tbz reveal album is one of my fave albums actually!!! i love it a lot musically, but i love it just as much aesthetically... it kinda looks... like a fancy book?? which is just so cool and it's really nice to the touch also (under the initial outer box)... and another one of the VERY rare photobooks that my mom likes. i was honestly surprised at how much she actually liked this one sdkjjksdbk she got out her phone n all... but that's valid it's a really nice photobook. the chase one i like way less, but it's quite different? quite creative i would say!! and i really liked the concept for this version (no regrets once again) !! the chanhee postcard i got from it has always been on display on my shelf he's watching over me (<- insane woman speaking)

my itzy album!!!! bought it a while after it released so i already knew i LOVED the album musically i think i like every single song on it to a degree?? and it turned out to be SO pretty as well... i had an amazing time looking through it after i got home (i stopped by the store minutes before it closed after hanging out with uni friends in the area bc i happened to check my email and see that i could pick my order up kjndkjbdwnjws) not only the photos/concept themselves but just. the entire design of this photobook is so nice it's almost shocking it's coming from jype i was sitting like wtf jype u CAN make pretty albums??? insane. i also love the photocards i got from it!!

wei's identity: action album is another important one... those are my fancy little guys!!! the inclusions were really cute and i really like ... well wei in general, but also bye bye bye is SO good and i like the rest of this album a fair amount, and. most importantly. fancy concept. for me. great. so for me. SO for me.... <3 meanwhile the kingdom albums were a bit more of a caprice because i was getting into kingdom at the time. they're a little... clumsy, i'd say, in the way they're...designed?? but they remain really nice mainly because that's just. a big royalty concept . for me . FOR ME ... once again, not a purchase that i regret!!

it's surprising that fml is the first svt album that i bought since i moved, but what's even more surprising is . the reason i bought it. it's quite embarrassing actually . i was seeing the previews for the deluxe ver. and i noticed that there was . a set of photocards IN the super mv (2nd half) outfits which meant. jeonghan with that hairpin . and once i processed that information my hands acted on their own . um,

<my jini album3 i love jini's album so so so so much... she was my favourite in nmixx back when she was still a member n honestly the only one i rlly knew like. i knew a few of the other members' names but cldn't always recognize their faces n stuff . but my jini ... that's my performer daughter.... she's such a talented performer it's insane. and i was quite worried about her solo debut because... that's easy to screw up ESPECIALLY when expectations are high and. mine couldn't be anything but high because i do think she's insanely talented, and because the title of this album invokes such a strong imagery... and in the biggest plot twist of the year she even exceeded my expectations and released an album that was so for me. i love all the songs SO much i don't think words are enough to express how much i love this album... and when i looked at the concept pictures (a bit after the album was released, actually), i decided i really wanted to buy it... honestly i wanted both versions but i couldn't justify buying both, financially, at the time so.... i'm still waiting for an occasion to buy the pink version <//3 but i am very happy with the version i have as well!!! very proud to have it. and if you haven't checked my jini out yet, you should!!!!!

and finally. i actually didn't think i would buy the zb1 album - i don't really like it musically. i can't remember the exact reason i decided to buy it after all, maybe it was because i DID like the shade ver concept pictures quite a lot? but either way i'm SO glad to have bought it because.... i think it's currently my favourite physical album that i own... it's absolutely gorgeous. in every single way. in its entirety. it's just. beautiful. i encourage you to watch an unboxing video of it or smth because it's . genuinely so beautiful.

my sadame album was actually one that my aunt bought for me because i saw it in a bookstore we went to together and thought rlly hard about whether i wanted it or not.... i was mostly looking forward to the photocard but i got The One Photocard i absolutly did not want . but oh well. meanwhile!! my moonrise album was actually a gift i got from my best friend back in brussels!! which was really cute of her it was SO cute :< we also bought our al1 albums together <3 kissie for aly!! and as for the five albums i got from my bestie... she's been holding them for me for YEARS kkjsdjkndcb but i finally flew over to the states to see her this summer and she somehow managed to cram them into my luggage as i was leaving... and im so vewy grateful for these because i lob them all... i didn't even know that she had a hotshot album to give me but it's an album that i really love (musically) and turns out it's SO pretty also??? it looks quite book-ish, similar to tbz reveal (amd theyre both red also...) which i really love!

another photobook that i REALLY love is the one from my taeyeon's my voice album!! it's beautiful i love flowery concepts... (also really love that album musically a whole lot). was my favourite for a long time visually alongside the lovelyz's one that i mentioned earlier!

musically, got7's turbulence was my favourite album for quite a while, actually... i don't think i can say it and mean it nowadays anymore, but back when it was a relatively new album it was one that i really loved listening to.

other stories include. me constantly forgetting that i own a shinee album. the fact that i managed to own the pristin album (bought it at a convention) but they didn't have the version i wanted (elastin) anymore and i still really want that version... hopefully i can get it one day. not that i dislike this one i'm just glad i have something to remind me they were real..... the fact that i own a jay park album because at one point in my life i was going to kpop dance classes and everyone really liked his music and i started rlly vibing with it for a while to the point of buying. this album. and me hunting for gfriend's snowflake for a long while before i finally managed to buy it (kpop stores in brussels are very. different from the ones in paris. it was not an easy feat)

Fallen Kingdom Sorrows Hell Event is the crystal kingdom event, and a long-awaited event by many! It has a very strong Cool Attribute UR, second only to the newest Lunar New Year tiger suit. The story is a little sad, but it has a touching ending.

Special for the anniversary, we will get a Timed Welfare suit: Nikki’s SSR Anniversary 1 suit! She wears the Sweet Attribute dress during the concert in the video, and it will be Indexed in Federal Style.

Volume 2, Chapter 3 will arrive, and we will get an SR suit from Marina. We will still be in the Ninir city of Cicia. The idol contest is still going on, so craft the suit Cool Girl and go with Marina to watch the show!

The third Lifetime Suit comes! Another Cool Attribute UR suit, we will craft and learn the story of Ode of Frosty Sword by Yunikina! She is from the North, so we have one more suit for the militaristic country. Here’s a link to a video breaking down the items, the score, and the pre-farming.

Memory Collection Season 3 will also begin, and we will get the SSR suit Perching Raven. For fans of gothic style, masculine styles, or pretty styles with a cape, this is one to strive for.

Styling Competition Season 5 gives us the SSR suit Sir Charles. It looks simple, but it’s designed by Qin Yi. What will his story be?

And on social media, they will have a new mini-game! You can write letters to Nikki, get a response back from her, and even win some goodies. Check out all Shining Nikki social media for the Post Office Of Time. They’re also doing a new round of fan art contest, and they will start a new contest where you touch-up certain photos of Nikki.

Summary: When you drunkenly book a girls trip to a tropical Greek island to help mend your broken heart, you would never for a second think it will take you exactly to where he is. Him. A tale of the right person at the wrong time, an overused cliché made into plots of movies you never thought would live through in your reality. Two people, still madly in love with each other, hearts still broken, suppressed by the alcohol and distractions consumed on this trip. Will they let their egos get in the way, protect what’s left of their already broken hearts, or will let their hearts speak?

I am so overwhelmed and did not expect to receive so much kindness it makes me wanna cry hahaha 🥺 thank you a thousand times over! and if this is your first time getting to know the fic, I highly suggest you read the prologue before diving into part 1! This chapter is sort of a filler chapter (I know it has 2.6k words lol), it shows how (y/n) have been doing since the break up & how the trip came about, I hope it’ll make sense once you read it 🤍 thanks for reading x

It’s been months since you last spoke to him. Him. The thought of him still hurts. The idea of him existing without you, hurts. As much as you try to fight it, you still remember him like the back of your hand. You could draw on paper the contours of his face by memory, by instinct, like remembering your way home. He was a love you have never experienced before. Something about his magnetism seemed impossible to resist.

You and Dominic broke up nearly half a year ago. Your hopes of an amicable breakup were destroyed by him. His confusion, his anger, his frustration made it impossible for you two to stay friends. He couldn’t even begin to imagine being just a friend to you when his entire heart belongs to you. He called you selfish for leaving, he called you stubborn for having your mind made up without letting him put up a fight when he was ready to battle anyone, even you, to save your relationship.

The first few months were difficult, but the first few weeks were excruciating. You barely ate, as the numbing in the pit of your stomach constantly made you nauseous that your body couldn’t digest anything you ate. You couldn’t bring yourself to shower and get dressed, and spent days laying in bed, wallowing in sadness. Overtime, you just learn to live with the pain.

Since then, you’ve had good days, and slowly but surely stopped faking smiles and replaced them with genuine ones. But your bad days felt like hell, with your mind often teasing you with memories of him that you’ve suppressed enough to compartmentalise, then it comes back to you all at once, and consumes your entire soul. The pain is suffocating, like being crush by tidal waves, leaving you no time to run for shore, the waters dragging you, pulling you in many directions. All you could do was be still, stay paralysed, and pray that it goes away. That’s what remembering him felt like.

Then on other days, you often wonder how you were able to manage all this, with the pain still fresh whenever you think about it, but I guess we’re all guilty of pushing our feelings to the side and pretending that everything’s alright, when it’s the opposite. You’re still alive, despite it all. But you want to live, not just survive.

The truth is, you did not leave because you fell out of love. In fact, you were too in love—it’s a crime. He was your entire life. Days were spent waiting for him to come home from training and matches. Missing him during away games. Your entire happiness depended on him, and that terrified you. You weren’t happy with yourself either, and expected more out of your life. The burden of having a prosperous career, a stable income, a life for yourself that you loved, becoming too heavy to bear. You had all these dreams and goals set for yourself that you never got to actualise so you could be by his side. Your love for him was insurmountable, that you couldn’t accommodate anything for yourself. No matter how hard you tried, you will always put him first. It was natural. Even though he never asked for all your attention, you couldn't simply choose between yourself or him, because you would always choose him. Over and over.

So you did what you had to do, break your own heart, and his, to love yourself.

Since your breakup, you finally moved out of your friend’s place and got yourself a nice two-bedroom flat at the city centre with a stunning view of the city. You landed yourself a job as a junior editor for British Vogue that demands commuting to London several days a week. As you thrive in difficult situations, the breakup forced you to submerge yourself in work, mainly to avoid the pain, but it propelled you to get to where you are.

Trying to get over someone who is in the public eye was a different battle. It seemed as though everywhere you went, he’s there. You see him on billboards, TV screens, his face painted on murals, quickly becoming a tourist site. Occasionally, you would watch his games out of habit, and listen to the prideful Evertonian crowd chant his name. You witnessed his first England senior team debut, and tuned in to England v. Wales on the TV for old time’s sake. You watched him score his first senior England goal behind a screen. Your eyes welled at sight of him living his dream, poaching the ball into the net, scoring the first goal of the game, making his country and family proud. You feel the rush of adrenaline he felt as he ran to his teammates and celebrated. You can’t help but share this sense of pride, as you’ve watched firsthand how hard he has worked to get to where he is.

But on days where he isn’t on your mind, you do not want to be reminded of him. It’s difficult to cope when you encounter pieces of him that takes you back to the worst day of your life, and his.

Like last night, for instance. You had been scrolling on your social media when it was brought to your attention that a magazine had published an issue with your ex on the front cover, spotted on a night out with a blonde you don’t personally know but you could’ve sworn you’ve seen before. Perhaps another one of those so-called “influencers”, you thought to yourself. You know that you have no right to feel jealous or upset, as you broke up with him and this was bound to happen, but selfishly, a part of you had hoped that he wouldn’t find anyone else, or at least not before you did. You’re frustrated at yourself for letting him have this effect on you even months after your break up.

Succumbing to your bad habits, you give in to your impulses and pop open a bottle of red wine to calm your growing anxiety. Two glasses of wine, a takeout, and a season of Gossip Girl later, you find yourself slightly drunk, nerves calmed, and a little drowsy so you quickly change into your satin pyjamas and tuck yourself in bed.

You decide to turn on the TV for some background noise and quickly close your eyes. By some twist of fate, you hear a painfully familiar voice giving his thoughts at the end of a game he’s won. The sheer volume of his voice on the TV causes a sharp pain in your chest as you scramble to reach for your remote in the dark, with your eyes half opened. and change it to anything but a sports channel. That’s it, you thought to yourself. I need to get the fuck away.

Still drunk and not entirely aware of what you’re doing, you reach for your laptop on the nightstand. The brightness made your eyes squint a little bit, but you managed to type out a link and open a travel booking site, and scroll through different pictures of tropical islands you’re longing to get to. Anywhere but here, you thought. You selected options that you thought looked the blue-est, the most expensive, a party town, and had the most five star restaurants.

By the end of it you have booked a return flight to Mykonos for 5 people where you will be staying at a grand, luxurious 5-bedroom villa located at the party central of the island. You couldn’t be bothered to check how much it cost you. All sense of ration gets thrown out the window when you mix heartbreak with alcohol. When you told your friends of what you had just done, it was safe to say that they were surprised but absolutely ecstatic that you have booked a much needed getaway with the girls. With a three-day notice, you all quickly scramble through your closet and go on an online shopping spree to pick out your outfits for the holiday.

Days later, you find yourself landing on Mykonos island on a sunny afternoon.

“I can’t believe you’ve managed to pull all this off within days,” your friend says as you all walk through the pebbled entry way of your villa, and open the door. “Holy fucking shit,” another friend says in awe of the sight. The villa was filled with white interior, bright lights, wooden tables that give off beach vibes, and an infinity pool where you could swim as you watch the sunset, with a view of the blue sea. With 5 bedrooms to choose from, your friends collectively decided that you should take the master that had direct access to the pool, which you happily accepted but it wouldn’t matter anyway, as you’ll all probably stay in one room.

Once you’ve unpacked, you pull out your white cardigan and make your way out the terrace to catch a view of the sunset and have a moment by yourself. You take a deep breath of the fresh air with a hint of sea breeze as you try to take in the stunning view of the island. You are filled with gratitude as you bear witness to something so beautiful as you watch the sun sink into the blue Aegean Sea. Despite the peacefulness exuded by the view, your heart can’t help but feel Dom. You remember when he had brought up wanting to spend this exact summer in Mykonos with you, but life had other plans.

Dom was laying in bed with his laptop screen on his chest, an arm to support his head as he scrolled through the travel booking site. He had been looking through different options, but he has his mind set on a lovely town in Greece, Dubai’s overrated after all, he thought.

“Me, you, blue skies, tanned skin, bike rides around town, what do you think love?” asked Dom. “Where’s this?” you ask, moving closer to him as he shows you his laptop screen. “Mykonos. It’s not too far away, I’ll have enough time to rest before pre-season starts,” he replies. “That sounds like a plan,” you smile at him. “But we’ll book it closer to the summer, yeah? In case anything comes up,” you said as you plant a kiss on his cheek. He nods as he bookmarks the site and drifts off to sleep with you shortly after.

Unbeknownst to you, later that night he quietly opened his laptop and quickly booked the trip for you two as a surprise. Anything that will come in the way will just have to be compromised. He was adamant to make sure he gives you the best summer of your life, it is what you deserve after all, he thought.

You had forgotten about your conversation with Dom until you stood on the island. Your thoughts were interrupted by your friend’s footsteps. “Hey, you okay babe? You’ve been out here for a while,” she asks with concerned eyes. “I’m alright,” you said. “Or I will be,” you add, giving your friend a forced smile. Your friend wraps her arm around your shoulders as you two make it back inside to have an early and quiet night with the girls, exhausted from all the travel.

The next day you woke up a little late, with only several hours to tan before having to get ready for your dinner reservation at one of Mykonos’s famous restaurants that looks over the sea. A little frustrated at yourself for sleeping in, you went to the bathroom to wash your face, put on some light makeup, and change into your swimwear.

You join your friends who are sprawled on the sunbeds. “So, where is this place again?” you asked your friend who booked the dinner. “A restaurant by the sea located at party central babe. Everybody, I mean everybody goes here. They’ve got the best food and music,” she replies. “Think of Mamma Mia 1,” another friend chimes in. Your eyes widen at the imagery. “Better have some great alcohol too, I’m desperate for some,” you laugh. “That’s my girl,” your friend says.

By the late afternoon you and the girls are getting ready for dinner. Makeup bags and its contents sprawled on the floor, you had to tiptoe around makeup products and brushes, careful not to step on them. After long deliberation, you decided to dress up in co-ord that hugs your figure and fits you like a glove, paired with your favourite heels, settling for an elegant yet fun look. You decide to keep your hair down and put on some natural makeup to balance out the bold colour. After about 30 minutes of taking pictures of each other and some group photos, you finally made it out the door.

The location was spectacular. The ambience was complemented with bright lights to lighten the dim Mykonos sky that has turned a shade of dark blue, almost purple. The food was divine, a little overpriced for your liking, but it was worth it. The restaurant turns into a nightclub close to midnight, and you and your girls were eager to start your first round of drinks. Fruity drinks were passed around, made with fruits freshly picked from the gardens. Watermelon margarita was your drink of choice, partly sweet, partly sour, and just enough tequila as your first drink of the trip.

The restaurant was packed, you could’ve sworn you had seen a star of a Spanish series you’ve just finished watching on Netflix. The guests were well dressed, many had bravely eccentric taste, mixing patterns and sparkly jewellery, paired with funky footwear to add some flair. In Mykonos, you will not encounter the same judgment as you would walking down the streets back home.

Your friends stood up to dance the second the alcohol kicked in. You took your time, savouring your drink, wanting the night to last. You smile at the sight of your happy friends, so full of life, not giving a single care in the world. As you’re sitting there, observing people, you suddenly feel your chest get heavy. It’s hard to put into words what this feeling is like, but it pushes you to shut down in social settings, overwhelmed by strangers and loud music that makes your ears ring. It is a feeling of unexplained anxiety, where you need a second to correct your breathing, and calm yourself down. Not now, you thought, not here. You often feel these random bouts of emptiness since you left Dom. You try to push the discomfort away, and think of anything else but him. You stood up and walked to the edge of the restaurant by the white border wall to get some fresh air, and take in the view of calm waves under the night sky to collect some peace of mind.

You place your elbows on top of the border, and rest your head on the palms of your hands. A bystander would think that you’re a scene from a movie, a damsel in distress, longing for her love interest. But this was no movie, no fairytale, no knight in shining armour to protect you, no lover to sweep you off your feet.

Or so you thought.

Your focus on the sounds of splashing waves was interrupted by familiar footsteps, getting louder and louder as it creeps its way closer to you. The scent of the sea began to mix with an all too familiar scent of tobacco vanilla. Only one person came to mind. It can’t be, you thought.

“(Y/N)?,” his voice breaks.

Even if the damsel is an intoxicated, pissed off Carrie Bishop. Notes: I AM HIGH PITCHED SCREAMING. Transplanting the movie plot to this timeframe works tremendously and TLGG’s execution is fucking perfect. Carrie is a powerhouse in this fic and god, Logan is such a honey it in which is why it is being recc’d for him. Him practically letting Carrie move in with him and doing his damnedest to protect Carrie and Gia (much to Veronica’s chagrin) is so, so important to me and I love him so much.

Why I like Kagami: this is where I sarcastically ask “why DON’T i like him” but that’s literally the next question so; he’s everything i want to be and more. He has the determination and the willpower to make his own dreams come true, he’s gay as shit, he’s tall and buff and well-adjusted, mature enough to live on his own at an annoyingly young age, he’s funny and dumb and a total himbo as well as an excellent advisor bc of how grounded he is.

Why I don’t: I’m... not really good with explosive people. Violent men with loud voices especially scare me, and I’d think I’d flinch around him a lot and that would make me rlly anxious.

Favorite episode: it’s a toss-up between the Seirin fam visiting his place for the first time (is it where Kuroko confesses his love to him and then passes out in his arms? idk), and the onsen episode. I also loved all his plays against Kise and Aomine. AND the training camp w him running a lot in the sand.

Favorite season/movie: season 2 probably because he’s not a jerk anymore, but he’s still on his way to shed off any asshole behavior stuck to him. And I actually liked Last Game?

Favorite line: “There’s no such thing as useless effort.” and “This is our drama and we write the plot.” because he’s so ridiculous.

Head Canon: I have several collections because I think too much about this boy, but here’s something I think about his family: he doesn’t know what happened to his mom. He never asked, because it wasn’t relevant, and he didn’t want to inconvenience his dad by questioning him. Occasionally, as a kid he felt like he was missing out on something (seeing other kids with their moms, feeling like they’re being treated with much more gentle care because they have moms), but as he grew older he realized that nurturing behavior shouldn’t have been limited to only a mother, and that he was just straight up neglected without any regards to missing a parent in his life.

Unpopular opinion: I never realized this was an unpopular opinion but I’m glad he went back to America at the end of Last Game. Obviously, it’s sad that he had to separate from the others, but I felt like Japanese basketball has always been just a stepping point to him, and now that he’d beat the best of them, it was time to move on. And it also warms my heart that him getting scouted in the US gave Aomine hope to aim big, too. I felt like both of them would’ve felt trapped in Japan with their skill sets.

A wish: I want him to be happy and gay and to confront Himuro and tell him how hurt he was by how he treated him and probably do the same to his dad too

Why I like Momoi: she is SO nurturing and sweet and she cares so much about her boys!! I’m sorry it always turns into “how they remind me of myself” but actually I get feeling like a background character and being the moral/emotional/physical support of those who are more talented or in any way better than you. I feel a strange kind of kinship with her and also,,, feminine girls make my heart stop, and it doesn’t get more feminine than Momoi. Added: Aomine aside, the Touou team wouldn’t worth shit without her skills tbh, and she’s not in any way less than the GoM. Also, I appreciate her being the one person to try to keep their friend group together.

Why I don’t: Analytical People Scare me like!! how do u know stuff people are Unknowable!! I usually am also irked by her pointing out Riko’s breast size but I can just pretend that’s in a gay way (maybe Momoi likes girls with small boobs and she’s just bad at flirting) (also I don’t exactly liked her calling Aomine a “ganguro” but I have too little knowledge on the use of this word to say exactly why)

Favorite episode (scene if movie): uh the one where Aomine made her cry? It really came through how much love she actually has for her friends at that one.

Favorite season/movie: she was great in all of them!!

Favorite line: I can’t remember the exact quote and Google isn’t really helpful either but the one where she made Kuroko promise they’ll always play together or something? Or that they’re gonna beat Aomine?? idk?

Favorite episode (scene if movie): adshg any and all where she expressed that Himuro and Kagami are equally important to her <33 that shit makes my heart burst

Favorite season/movie: she only appears towards the end of s2 and in s3 so... I guess s3?

Favorite line: its so Bad that u literally can’t find the iconic quotes of these iconic ladies anywhere but... her story on finding her passion again through teaching kids, and anytime she mentions her fondness of Kagami and Himuro.

Favorite outfit: her iconic olive green coat with the short red shorts... wtf was that I loved it.

Once I realized that he shouldn’t have been the “bigger person” in that situation and one year doesn’t really mean much when you’re that young and that hurt, I realized he’s actually a good and hard-working kid and I’m sorry for giving him so much shade. Also I really like his snark and sass, but that might not even be canon at this point tbh

Why I don’t: I’m still sort of irked by him beating down on Kagami because he was envious/mad, but I realized the aspect of that situation that Really got to me was how devoted Kagami still was to him after all that. That devotion was what felt toxic, nothing that Himuro actually did to him.

Where to start with Sailor Moon?

From time to time I’ve seen people ask about how to get into Sailor Moon or how they might introduce it to someone else. 

As such I’ve made this to (hopefully) help people out.

Introduction

So first of all you should know that the official name for the over all franchise is ‘Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon’. This can (and has) been translated a few ways, but the current official name is ‘Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon’. Basically everything connected with Sailor Moon carries this full official name, but for the purposes of this post I’m just going to shorten things to ‘Sailor Moon’.

Moving on,  there are in fact different versions of the Sailor Moon story, even putting aside the various attempts at translating the story into different languages. Each version is best viewed as its own entity, sort of how there have been various versions of Sherlock Holmes that exist independently of one another. 

For the sake of simplicity, I’m going to mostly keep this post to the original Japanese iterations of Sailor Moon, albeit from the point of view of an English speaking audience member.*

The main versions of the Sailor Moon story are as follows:

1) The Manga

The manga iteration of Sailor Moon began around late 1991/early 1992. It includes around 50 chapters, a handful of side stories and a prequel manga of sorts called Codename: Sailor-V. There have been several different English translations of this material over the years. However, my personal recommendation would be to experience the story through the ‘Eternal Editions’. These are easily available in print and digitally. As of this writing Codename: Sailor-V is scheduled to be collected in at some point in 2021, thus collecting all the manga stories.

2) The 1992 anime

This is the most famous iteration of Sailor Moon and loosely adapts the manga to the point where it is its own entity. It spans 200 episodes across five seasons, with each season being given its own subtitle. E.g. season 2 is referred to as ‘Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon R’. Additionally there were a handful of shorts and specials connected with the anime and three films. I have already compiled a watch list for the show that I hope will help you navigate everything.

Like the manga, there have been multiple efforts to subtitle the show into English, particular among fan subbing circles. However, the easiest way to watch the show with English subs is to do so via a streaming service (last I checked it was available on Hulu and Crunchyroll) or to purchase the DVDs and Blu-rays from Viz Media, although you can also purchase them digitally on Amazon.com too.

3) The musicals

 On and off since 1993 there have been stage musicals produced for Sailor Moon. If you ever see the term ‘Sera Myu’ being used by fans (or even official sources) understand that it’s shorthand for these musicals.

The musicals are based chiefly upon the manga and the original anime, although with some original embellishments here and there. The degree to which a musical cuts closer to the manga, or the anime or does something all its own varies from one production to another. I’m not very well read up on the musicals I must admit, but it is to my understanding that each production exists independently from one another beyond at times carrying over cast and staff members. In essence there is no particular order you need to watch the musicals in. However, if you want more info on the musicals see the below EDIT, which is more well informed than I am.

To my knowledge, (which is limited in this particular case) all the musicals have been filmed but there has never been any kind of official English release for them. There have however been fan subbed efforts made for all of them. 

4) The 2003 live action TV show

In fan circles this show is referred to as ‘Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon’ or ‘Pretty Guardian’ or ‘PGSM’. This is because it was the first piece of Sailor Moon media to bear that particular English translation of ‘Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon’. Basically if you see ‘Pretty Guardian’ or ‘PGSM’, understand it is referencing this show.

The show exclusively adapts the ‘Dark Kingdom’ storyline, the first storyline in every version of Sailor Moon. The show was made in a similar vein to shows like Kamen Rider or Super Sentai and the latter’s American adaptation, Power Rangers. However, it also incorporates elements of Japanese soap opera dramas too, original elements that were never in any version of Sailor Moon beforehand and many different spins on the plot points that had been covered before. 

To my knowledge, like Sera Myu, no official English release for this show exists, but English fansubs are out there somewhere. If you manage to find the show then you should watch the various episodes and specials in their original broadcast order. For this Wikipedia is your friend. 

5) Sailor Moon Crystal

Sporadically since 2014 a new Sailor Moon anime has been in production. This new anime cuts much closer to the original manga (although it still makes some changes ) than any other version of Sailor Moon. As of this writing, the show has yet to be completed and still has material from the manga left to adapt. The show is available to watch with English subtitles from the same sources as the original 1992 anime, including DVDs and Blu-Rays from Viz Media.

Like the original anime, Crystal’s story arcs and seasons have gone under different names. The first two seasons/arcs are officially just called ‘Sailor Moon Crystal’, whilst the third is explicitly titled ‘Sailor Moon Crystal Season III’. In place of a fourth season two films, Sailor Moon: Eternal Part 1 and Part 2, were produced. As of this writing, the Eternal films have yet to have any kind of English release. To make your life easier, watch this show in the order of the original air/release dates. Just remember the Eternal films are to be viewed after Season III.

Which version should you start with?

Whilst that is how the franchise breaks down, it is not the order a Sailor Moon newbie should try experiencing it in.

My personal recommendation would be to begin with the original 1992 anime and then move on to any of the other versions from there. This is because the original anime is aimed at a younger audience and was incredibly influential on basically every other version of the story. 

However, if 200 episodes or more is too intimidating for you, then simply check out the manga. It’s far shorter, skewed a bit older and tells a concise and complete story. 

And if you are still apprehensive then I’d highly recommend watching the first Sailor Moon film, Sailor Moon R The Movie. This is a very good film unto itself but it is a microcosm of the characters and themes that define the franchise as a whole. If you dislike this Sailor Moon just isn’t for you. 

P.S. If you are simply dead set against subtitles then you should know the original 1992 anime and Crystal have in fact been dubbed into English by Viz Media. In fact, the first four seasons of the original anime, along with the first three films, have two English dubs, variously produced by DiC, Cloverway and Pioneer. These dubs were made in the 1990s and early 2000s and are currently not legally available anywhere. 

*Things get more complicated when we consider that even in Japan there have been updated and altered versions of the Sailor Moon manga, anime, etc. We aren’t going to worry about that in this post though. They exist and maybe someday you might be inclined to check them out, but you know...baby steps...

Just something I want to add on about the Sailor Moon Musicals.

If you see a musical with the word Kaiteiban (revision) at the end of the name, that means it’s a revised version of the previous musical. Things added or taken away, different cast members at times, etc.

Also, there are three musicals (technically four) that have a continuous storyline. Starring Miyuki Kanbe as Sailor Moon, Last Dracul, Transylvania no Mori (and its Kaiteiban), and Death Vulcan should be viewed in order.

The Bandai era of musicals were from 1993 to 2005.

The Nelke musicals started in 2014 and there was one each year for five years. One musical for each arc of the manga.

There are also the NogiMyu. These are musicals that solely focus on the Dark Kingdom arc and they star various members of the pop idol group Nogizazaka46.

There were two teams of cast members for the inner senshi for both years, 2018 and 2019. The same story overall, just different actresses.

There was also Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon The Super Live. My personal favorite, this was a musical performed only a few times. A couple of days in Japan in 2018 and then once in Paris in 2019 and then in Washington D.C. and later in NYC. I got to see this in person on one of the three showings in NYC. A dream come true. Unfortunately, this was never recorded, though they did release an instrumental musical album of the show.
