ok yes i’m starting off this deep but my favourite thing about regina is how she represents hope to me. the story of the kind, sweet girl who was so fucked over by life she became the literal evil queen, but through hard work, perseverance, sacrifice, struggle, connections and opening herself up to love, she found that goodness in herself again? and continued to fight for it every day? like that’s the story i took from ouat and it’s about hope. in the words of lana, she represents how good can come from broken and that literally inspires me every day.

Where I post: Tumblr, ff.net, and AO3 since most seem prefer it - I am working on moving my older ones there as well

Most popular one/two shot: On ff.net that would be one of my older Season Three era fics “Under the Weather” where Emma takes care of Killian when he’s been stricken by a cold.  On AO3, it seems to be “Start of the Dance” a post Season 3 one shot with both Captain Swan and some daddy!Charming feels and fluff. On Tumblr, I am not sure how to check the numbers, but it seems to me like it has to have been my Moonlight AU written for @cssns18 called “Tasting Forever”.

Most popular Multi-Chapter: On AO3, it wasn’t even a close contest! By a landslide, it was “Run to Me (in the Dead of Night”) by CS werewolf AU, also written for @cssns 18.  On ff.net, it would be my older FBI/Witness Protection modern AU “I’d Know You Anywhere”.  Again, on Tumblr, I’m not totally sure?

Favorite Story I Wrote: Is it weird to say that my favorite tends to change depending on my mood from one time to another?  I have several that are close to my heart for various reasons. The above mentioned FBI/Witness Protection one is a favorite because I was really stretching myself to write something thriller-action-y, and the Werewolf AU is one that I had wanted to do for such a long time that I have a real sense of accomplishment for it. But my sentimental personal favorite story is probably either the Christmas one shot I wrote during the season three hiatus called “Ghost of Christmases Past” or the short MC “Villian’s Happy Ending” that I wrote as a spec of 3b and the Wicked Witch arc before it aired.

Story You Were Nervous to Post: I was VERY nervous to post the current last chapter of “A Year in the Court of MIsthaven”  (Part V) because there was a real, legitimate, love scene in it, and I by no means consider myself gifted or capable of smut writing. I was sweating bullets over that one, but @kmomof4 was assuring me all the way that it would be fine! ;)   I was also more than a bit anxious to post my first truly whump-focused piece for the @ouatwinterwhump event “When You Can’t Walk, I’ll Help You Stand”, but it seemed to go over well.

How You Choose Your Titles: I really struggle with titles! It’s a constant battle! Most of the ones I end up picking are snippets of song lyrics or a line from the story re-worked, but in general I don’t feel like titling my fics is a strength.

Complete:  According to ff.net I have 100 complete fics posted, but some of those are from fandoms I wrote for previously (Criminal Minds, Moonlight, Castle, LotR, etc.)  On AO3, I have 40 so far, but that isn’t all of my OuaT writing either, so somewhere in between the two?

Incomplete:  Right now there are five (oh my, that’s bad!) incomplete fics I am working on that are already partially posted. One is only needing the epilogue yet, so it will be completed soon. (I’m having trouble saying goodbye to it, honestly.)  It almost makes me break out in hives thinking I have people waiting on four separate stories at once, but I’ll do my best!!

Do You Outline: It depends. I don’t outline one or two shots, I usually just start with the vision of a single scene or snippet of an idea and tear into it, but longer MCs usually have a least what I call a chapter flow chart with a basic plan for what I intend to happen each chapter and where the story is going.

Coming Soon/ Not Yet Started: Literally too many to list here!!  I have a five subject notebook I carry around an - no lie! - the first subject’s worth of paper is FULL of story ideas yet to tackle.  I wouldn’t even know where to start telling you all of the possibilities for what’s coming next...

Do You Accept Prompts: Yes, I do accept them. I don’t promise to be super fast, or that I will know how to do every single thing I might be asked for, but I am willing to try if I can!

Upcoming Story You Are Most Excited to Write: I am really excited to get back into my Victorian/Sherlock Holmes fic I started back in the fall and my Western AU as well. I also have a couple brand new ideas for this year’s @cssns that I am enjoying brainstorming for!!

Some commentary on the S4 Episode of OUAT -- The Apprentice . . . .

I wanted to unpack this episode, and my feelings about it, to accompany @sieben9’s watching of it, and thought this would be better than reblogging their post.  They know that I’m posting this, and are aware that it will be snarky, bitchy, and negative, so please don’t go pestering their inbox with “oh don’t listen to that bitch, she’s a bitch” because A) they KNOW THIS already (it’s not a fact I’ve hidden from ANYONE) and B) again – they know I’m making this post instead of reblogging theirs and that it’s not going to be all glee and squee.  

This episode is one I have never revisited.  (To be fair, I’ve not revisited MOST of the episodes from S4 on.)  But this one is forever seared onto my brain.  This is a LONG POST so under the cut . . . . .

 This episode was a turning point for me for 4 reasons:

 1)      I got a CLEAR PICTURE of what trajectory Rumbelle was on (as a pairing AND as individual characters) and I wasn’t happy

2)      I got a CLEAR PICTURE of the Hook trajectory and again – I wasn’t happy

3)      What VERY LITTLE remaining respect and/or admiration I retained for Adam and Eddy (which was not much at this point) VANISHED after this episode aired

4)      This episode forever changed the fandom dynamic for me

Now . . . . . let’s unpack this and start with #1 . . . . Rumbelle.

Rumbelle had just gotten married, and up until this point, aside from E1 with the dance (which to ME, although it was lovely and wonderful, also screamed “HEY!!!! FROZEN FANS JUST NOW WATCHING!  LOOK! IT’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!  YOU KNOW THEM!!!!”), we’ve gotten pretty much NOTHING for them.  So . . . . . . . let’s chat about the dock scene.

And look at that – not even cleaned up.  Which tells me that A&E decided to CUT THIS SCENE – this 37 second scene that they could NOT SPARE 37 SECONDS FOR – before they even started the editing process. Because otherwise – this would be a cleaned up scene.

And we wouldn’t even know it EXISTED if it hadn’t been for the fact that it was an outdoor scene and there were a FUCK TON of people on site that day taking photos.

I’d say I’m sorry for that last one but . . . . I’m really not so . . . .

Anyhow . . . the Rumbelle fandom was so excited about this scene.  Cause we’d had these BTS photos for WEEKS . . . and then they just . . . . CUT IT . . .

And Adam posted it on Twitter two weeks later because the Rumbelle fandom had a collective shit fit directed at him and he basically wanted to shut us the hell up.

And this all makes me wonder . . . .  what ELSE had they filmed up to this point that we’ll never see?  Because it’s OBVIOUS that at some point, between Episode 1 and Episode 4 – they changed the trajectory of what the had in store for Rumple, Belle, and Rumbelle.

Why, you ask?  Well first of all – don’t forget that in E2, they cut that scene with Rumple and Henry.  A scene that Bobby GUSHED ABOUT at SDCC (starts at 1:40):

Also Bobby talked about Rumple being ADDICTED TO MAGIC several times at SDCC.  Here’s one example (mentions it at the end):

So . . . . . what we’re seeing to this point is so far TWO significant scenes that show Rumple as a caring human being have been CUT, one of them before the editing process even began.

And if they’re telling an addiction story . . . . . they’re sure as fuck not SHOWING US that here. They’re showing us Rumple being shady and an asshole . . . . but they’re not showing us addiction.  And even though Bobby is PLAYING IT that way . . . . . most viewers don’t do subtle.  The narrative must CLEARLY and UNEQUIVOCALLY TELL US that this is, in fact, what is going on.  And it doesn’t.  

Also – Belle has BARELY been on, and when she has been, it’s with Rumple.  I mean . . . . . gee, it’s like they don’t know what to DO with her without Rumple . . . . . . amazing that the fandom, at this point, has LOTS of ideas . .  . but the people who get paid for it?  Nothing.

So anyhow – that’s point ONE.

Onto point TWO . . . .

By now, we get it. They want Hook front and center. He is their pet, they want to go with Captain Swan.  Okay. But here’s another instance of “SHOW DON’T TELL.”  Having Hook follow Emma around like a lost puppy and just standing there isn’t TELLING. And also Emma has already had scenes with Regina and Elsa so far this season that show WAY more chemistry than any of the schmoopy shit they’re giving us with Emma and Hook.  

But here’s the kicker – instead of – you know – actually putting Hook on an actual, real, redemption arc – it just seems WAY easier to have him bully and blackmail Rumple (to get his HAND BACK so that he can play grab and tickle with his new boo without stabbing her, BTW) and make it look like RUMPLE is the baddie and Hook is just trying to be a good guy.  Basically they’re tearing down Rumple to prop up Hook.  Instead of showing Rumple’s struggle with addiction and Hook’s struggle with dealing with all the criminal shit he’s done in the past – THIS is the path they’re going with.  This is a disservice to BOTH characters.  And this episode, combined with the aforementioned factors, told me that yup, we’re doing this.  Because . . . .

Point THREE . . . . .

These writers are lazy as fuck and don’t want to be bothered writing complexity for literally ANYONE. Let’s not even discuss my issues with the Rumple trajectory.  Let’s look at Emma and her stupid little Pink Sandra Dee dress and the Charmings fawning over their damn date with a polaroid camera.

Who ARE these people? Did someone do a body swap with the Charming family?  Because that was some serious OOC shit, and for what?  To PROP UP HOOK.  So not only are they making Rumple an ass to prop the pirate, they’re making Emma and her parents into people I don’t recognize.  Because A&E are gross and seem to think that a woman must look and act a ‘certain way’ in order for a manly man like Hook to want to date her.  (I swear there’s some quote out there about “Hook makes Emma feminine” or some shit like that post-this episode.  Anyone have that link?)

This is kind of the beginning of my PERSONAL trajectory within the fandom  . . . . . . . FYI . . .

This was the point where I realized that I was watching a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SHOW than about half of the fandom . . . . . . . .

All of the above posts were written post-episode 4.  

So I walked away from E4 frustrated about Rumple, Belle, Rumbelle, the propping of Hook, the shitty writers and their inability to write a complex story, and the obvious to me early beginnings of the breakdown of the Rumbelle fandom.  

Of course I had no idea what was coming, nor am I going to say because I know @sieben9 is spoiler free.

I just wanted them (and others who may have come in late in the game) to have a full grasp of WHY this episode, which in hindsight probably isn’t THAT BAD, was a turning point for me and many others.  Cause I know I’m not alone.

OUAT: The Vortex of Evil

I’ve actually talked about this before, when I talked about Emma becoming the Dark One/ tethering herself to the darkness.

But I thought I’d connect a few different yet similar metaphors OUAT has used to illustrate the same thing or parts of it.

So basically I believe that Emma tethering herself to the darkness is actually a metaphor for her getting married to someone who wasn’t good for her. 

In season 4 we see the darkness attach itself to Regina with every intention of snuffing out her light. So kill her or at least kill anything good inside of her.

And then we see Emma pretty much take her place in that arrangement.

That, I think is in fact how it happened.

I think Regina got herself into a bad situation or deal she had trouble getting out of and that Emma saved her by taking her place in it. I also think that deal/tether involved Rumple. Since he was whom the Darkness belongs to for most of this show.

The interesting thing is that the Vortex of Evil as Regina described the darkness attaching itself to Emma, also doubled as a portal, since it took Emma to Camelot, where she was haunted by Rumple’s appearance. Remember that for later.

The thing is, that save is not the first time we see Emma save Regina. And the other times hint at something similar as that one.

This is the first time we see Emma save Regina. Right before this Regina tells Emma that Gold is a snake and to be careful who she gets into bed with. Emma tells her she isn’t getting into bed with anyone, just fighting fire with fire. It turns out that Gold was actually the one who set the fire and Emma saves Regina by dosing it and helping her get out of the building. 

We later see Regina or her Split Queen counterpart turn into an actual snake, but I think that’s just confirmation that Emma got into bed with her at some point as well.  I know “to get into bed with” is actually a saying that can simply mean “working with” but I think in these cases it’s meant to be taken literally.

Look at that, the Gold choker/ bracelet Rumple put on both Regina and Belle to be able to control their movements. Looks like the one Split Queen wore around her neck in 6x06, I think it was.

The first words out of Regina’s mouth when Emma removes the duct tape are “He tricked you!”

Regina was tied up and duct taped by Rumple while Emma went and killed a dragon. I actually think any time there’s a dragon on this show it’s like the homosexual elephant in the room, symbolic of one or more characters’ sapphic inclinations.

Most prominently illustrated by Emma and Regina alone in a room with a dragon in 6x08, A.K.A. just their gay feelings for each other. Trying to run and hide from said gay feelings. Which I’m guessing is hard to do when you can see your desire reflected back at you in the eyes of the other person in the room. Gives a whole new meaning to “I’ll Be Your Mirror” I imagine.  And you know how they got out? By Henry using the Hammer of Hephaestus on the mirror. A hammer that was actually meant to be used to kill the dragon or crush its heart which would kill it. Guess what, Hephaestus was a Greek God of fire with a limp. More on this in a hot minute.

For now back to the season 1 dragon. The other thing that’s interesting is that Emma goes to the dragon to retrieve the dragon egg that was put inside the dragon before she realized what was happening. Rumple then tricks Emma into handing over the egg.

Here we have Snow gagged and bound, just like Regina. Only in this scenario, Emma gets tricked by Jefferson, the Mad Hatter, into thinking he’s hurt and limping and in need of her help. Hmm, now who do we know that also sometimes limps and sometimes doesn’t on the show?

Rumpelstiltskin

In fact, I think Rumple is the only other character that has ever limped on this show. Not even twisting her ankle could make Regina limp. 

Back to 6x08, so the way I see it, in the mirror world Emma and Regina got cockblocked by their own gay panic, Rumple and (their concern for!!! (inside joke, right here)) Henry.

As for Jefferson, I think he’s Rumple. (More than any similarity between Jefferson and Rumple-and there are plenty-the disappearing limp connects them.) And so is Whale. Rumple that is. I feel like I’ve also made this connection in a previous post way back when, but I need it again for this post so...

Basically I think the three men that conspired to hurt Regina in order to create the monster Rumple wanted are, I think, in fact one and the same (Some of the names and faces of Me, Myself and I)

But back to the Jefferson story line. Jefferson ends up kidnapping and drugging Emma by lacing her tea with something. This, I think, is the root to Rumbelle’s story line. Rumple’s favorite chipped teacup is I think pretty much where their story began. Or took off in the way he wanted. It also resurfaces when magic tea is what speeds up Belle’s pregnancy with Gideon.

Anyway, Emma finds Snow and saves her. In this version of events she also saves herself. But the Dark One story line tells us that Emma didn’t manage to save herself.

Then there is Emma saving Regina from dr. Whale by pulling him off Regina and pretty much getting in between Regina and Whale to do it. If you think about it it doesn’t make much sense that Whale came after Regina. Of all the people Regina wronged dr. Whale was not at the top of that list as far as I know. In fact, if anything he wronged her first in a big way. He even ends up trying to do her a favor to get on her good side later because of it. And pretty much everyone ended up questioning his presence and his reasons for wanting to hurt Regina here. But if you consider that Whale is in fact Rumple then it does make sense.

And my favorite and what this post was originally meant to be about, portals and portal jumping.

Which leads me to this iconic moment.

But this moment is only a small, yet significant part of a greater story line.

If you remember correctly, what got Emma and Regina to this moment is that Regina got marked for death by Rumple. There he is again. He is heavily involved in Emma and Regina’s story. He or a version of him keeps popping up and a lot of times when Emma and Regina seem to be in mortal danger he is somehow the cause for it.

So basically thanks to Rumple, his wraith wants Regina’s soul. Funny how that is similar to darkness previously belonging to Rumple trying to snuff out Regina’s light.

The portal opening moment is Emma and Regina uniting against a common enemy. It’s an indication that there’s a love connection between them. That Emma cares what happens to Regina and would rather not have Regina have her soul sucked out of her. The love connection is confirmed by the fact that Emma jump starting Regina’s magic is paralleled by Henry using his love for and belief in Emma to jump start Emma’s when she needs it.

When the wraith goes to attack Regina, Emma pushes Regina out of the way and gets pulled through the portal by it instead.

Very much the same way Emma became the Dark One.

It’s also interesting because true love being able to create and power a portal without a bean is an idea Rumple is the first to voice. The portal is powered by love, but it separates the lovers that caused it. i.e. Dark One portal and Mad Hatter portal. Both symbols I associate with Rumple. Basically I think Rumple used Emma’s love for Regina to rope Emma into a deal with him that took Emma away from Regina. 

Regina is devastated and goes dark, well, darker again for a bit, and it takes Emma about 8 episodes to get back to Regina. I have this theory that each episode represents a year that Regina and Emma spent apart from each other. Roughly somewhere between 8 and 10 years I’d say. Which I think is how long Emma’s marriage/partnership to Rumple or whatever his actual name is, lasted.

The Cleo story line tells us that Cleo, a bailbondsperson, took a picture of her daughter, *Sasha Winter, from a distance when she was about 8, I believe. But she never actually met her. That tells me that Emma actually found Henry when he was about 8 and started looking into whether he was okay in the family he’d ended up in. I think Henry is who Emma is looking for when she meets Cleo. I think that episode tells us both about the start of Emma’s search and how it ended. With her finding him without interfering in his life.

*Sasha is a form of Alexandra, the name Cinderella/Ashley gives her daughter. I think that Cinderella/Ashley is also Emma. Winter links back to Snow. And in the scenario of Snow having to give up her child Snow is Emma. The baby she gives up I believe is Henry, not Emma. Unless Emma thought she’d have a girl and planned to name the kid after herself or something. It’s like Snow naming her second child Neal, after an already existing character. It’s just another way to tell us Henry’s story.

Then there’s the one that ties it all together.

A disheveled, sad, pregnant and married to Hook Emma going through the portal with Hook and leaving behind a lot that matters to her-i.e. Regina and Henry- in favor of a life with him.

Hook also mentions before this that in Storybrooke Emma was fighting off a swarm of pesky little dragons. There is that gay reference again. Because just because you marry a dude, doesn’t make you any less sapphicly inclined if you are.

And as a bonus, two other important times a portal appears.

Neal gets hurt and falls through the portal and Emma tells everyone he’s dead, without actually having any kind of confirmation. I think this moment is about Emma giving up Henry.

As Shady once said about Emma’s confession to Neal in the Echo Cave actually being about Henry.

I actually wonder if Neal’s entire story line with Emma isn’t about Henry. In fact, the moment where we see Emma meet Neal? With him lounging in the backseat of her car? It’s actually paralleled by Henry hiding under a tarp in the backseat of her car when I think she’s leaving and he wants to go with her.

The other important portal moment. I think here Bae is Henry. And it’s Rumple refusing to let go of his power, his controlling behavior that makes him lose Bae.

I think it’s because Emma took Henry from him. Because of who he was. Another thing confirmed through Belle when Belle sends Gideon away with the Blue Fairy to get him away from Rumple and the person he is.

If you remember Blue also happens to be the one who gave Bae the bean that made him create the portal that separated them. 

So in conclusion,

I think that:

-Rumple= Jefferson and dr. Whale and sometimes Hook

-Henry=Neal (all versions although I’m not sure if that’s always the case for the elder one) and Bae (but I’m not sure if that’s always the case either. I think sometimes Emma may also be Bae.)

-Emma=Belle and Snow (but not always, sometimes Regina= Snow)

Ooh, why I think Emma is also Belle and Bae aside from all the reasons I’ve ever listed. Bae is short for “Before Anyone Else”. The person or people you love most, like a wife and son maybe? When The Original Dark Curse is cast the name Rumple makes himself remember is “Emma”. I’d say the name of the person that means the most to you would be the one you’d want to remember. I think the reason Rumple didn’t try and remember his son’s name is probably because he didn’t know it. 

(I actually have an extensive post on who I think is whom).

The portals between Emma and Regina and Emma and Hook are about Emma’s marriage/partnership to a man who wasn’t good for her to protect the woman she loved. Leaving her behind in order to save her. I think there was probably some deception and betrayal happening from Regina’s side as well, intentional or accidental.

The portals between Bae and Rumple and Emma and Neal are about Emma giving Henry up to save and protect him from Rumple.

Which I think is why in 7x02 Emma leaves both Regina and Henry behind. Because that’s how it happened. And then they somehow found each other.

When you woke up you were super confused, and kinda scared, but in a more calm way, not like his anarchist-like reaction

You have to call in sick for Zen, it was weird

You guys eventually have to go out, because there were literally no groceries in the house

It was awkward

You two were ready to run for the hills every time someone passed by

And you were so grateful when you woke up in the correct body

When you guys got home you watched a movie to calm down

And took a bath

It was a really weird bath

When you guys woke up normal you squealed with happiness

You cancelled a meeting

But there was no escaping the RFA party

Somehow you two pulled it off, but it was hard

When you got home, you had to arrange dinner

After dinner you went to bed, not wanting to think about tomorrow

But after he was super pumped

After you guys stared at each other for about half an hour

But he dragged you to the movies

When you wake up like normal you guys run to the internet

And Saeyoung runs to the bathroom

And were so happy when you woke up

And later that day he said that he wants to be able to see you, so he decides to get the surgery

It ends up being pretty good

You get really pissed at him

Seven popped in and you two had to come up with a half-ass excuse

It kinda worked

He thought you were insane

Saeran insisted on getting ice cream

Unfortunately the ice cream people knew Saeran since they were young

It was so awkward

Finally getting your ice cream Saeran then ends up running two the park

You’re surprised by how weird it is to run as Saeran

Also your hair is so light

You guys end up horsing around at the park

Why are you so tall!!!!!

At the end of the day you two see a movie

Today ended up being kinda a date

When you guys end up falling asleep on the couch it’s more normal

But you are so happy when you wake up

Why I’m against the OUAT musical episode . . . . .

I realize I’ve done a lot of bitching about this episode, but before it airs I’d like to take a rational and logical approach to my reasoning as to WHY I’m choosing to have a bias against this episode before I even see it.  It’s not just that the songs are crappy even though they are.  It’s not just that it’s a corny and cheezy idea even though it is.  It’s not just that they’re using it as a showcase tool for the gross and character destroying CS wedding.  No, there is more to it than that, and if you are interested I’d like to share so that next time you see one of my bitchy posts and go “Oh there goes that bitch charmedrumbelle bitching again” you might stop and think that there’s more to it for me than “haters gonna hate” . . . . . . . 

1) I am a musical SNOB.  I don’t just mean snob, I mean:

I love musical theatre.  I’m a total nerd for it.  I’ve performed in and directed lots of community theatre over the years.  I hold my musical stuff to a VERY high standard.  And this . . . . just doesn’t cut it.  Look, I enjoy cheese and camp as much as the next person.  But only when it’s done in proper context.  A musical episode in a non-musical show SHOULD be cheese and camp.  And in this case it’s not.  Which brings me to #2 .  . . 

2) A&E have no concept of how to write good meta because they take themselves too seriously.

Do any of my followers watch Supernatural?  They did a musical episode (ish) in S10 -- it was totally meta and cheezy and fucking BRILLIANT:

SPN has never taken itself seriously.  And OUAT -- takes itself TOO seriously.  And you expect, after 6 seasons of no meta (their only attempt -- the 4B finale -- “NO SPOILERS” ha ha ha -- fell flat and was more of a DIG at the audience than anything), that suddenly we’re just supposed to buy that they can do funny and cute and camp?  

NO, they can’t.  They can’t even string together a coherent story.  Which brings me to point three . . . . 

3) We are at the end of what could very well be the last season of the show and you’re wasting a whole episode on shit that we’ve known for SIX YEARS now?????

This musical episode is filler.  It’s not moving the story along.  For a show that is on its last legs, it’s a ridiculous move.  

Musicals, even cheezy ones, move the story along.  This episode isn’t doing that.  (Unless you count the CS wedding, which I ALSO see as filler because -- it’s fan service but this post isn’t about that and anyone who knows me knows where I stand there so I won’t waste your time.)  I could maybe -- MAYBE -- enjoy and forgive this episode IF it moved things forward in the narrative.  But it’s not.  We are learning nothing new here, and we’re learning nothing new via song.  

If they had done this episode in S2 or S3, it would have possibly been cute and fun.  But now?  It’s just sad.  It’s like a desperate “look at me!” cry.  

I get that some people enjoy the actors singing and dancing.  That’s fine.  But for ME -- it needs to be more than that.  I just can’t get behind this episode.  I can’t like it, and I can’t support it.  It’s out of place and it’s NOT going to hold up well.  The next generation watching this show will get to this episode and say “WTF is THIS???” (If they make it this far in the series.) Think about THAT.

So, I’m finally watching this panel!

I wanted to be there, but alas couldn’t be. But I’m watching it and I wouldn’t have regretted being there, I think. I’m almost halfway through the video and I’m enjoying myself so much!

And Lana isn’t even there. I’ve never watched a Lana-less OUAT panel before. I’m sure she’ll be coming in later, but anyway, yeah. I love her panels or her with other people the most, but still, this is great.

The singing was a a great idea. (But only when the people actually want to do it and these don’t seem to mind). Sean has a beautiful voice. And I’m laughing at his antics. He seems like a fun guy. 

I don’t know if the sexual harassment rumors are true-people can be fun and seem great and still be capable of that, so with these kinds of things it’s better to be safe. So if I were working with him I’d probably make sure I was never alone with him. But I feel like we’d get along otherwise.

I also liked that he was singing “Cupid”. I love that song but had forgotten about it. My grandmother once made me a CD when I was a teen with a bunch of old songs and that one was one of my favorites. And it makes sense for his character given that Regina is no longer in love with him.

I also like Beverley Elliot, although I feel like she was making a fun of the host/translator a bit. “She understood you, you know, ms. Elliott. She just didn’t hear nor remember the name of Ruby’s boyfriend when you mentioned who Ruby had attacked.”

I love that she said she would protect everyone there. That was a sweet thought.

I love that Gil said he had so many of his own scenes to choose from as his favorite. Sarcasm, I love it.

I really like these panels that don’t happen in America. I love the ones that do, but these ones seem a little freeer. In a weird way. That’s part of why I wanted to go to this one. The Brazil ones are my favorite, I think.
