"Morren. I only recently joined the Inquisition." was the short reply. Morren of Nowehere, kin to no one.
A part of her was still anxious not to say more. After all, her clan, or now former clan, had imprisoned and harmed Inquisition scouts. Any of those scouts could have family members who would want revenge for that and honestly Morren wouldn't blame them there. She had the good sense to get out of the Mire before the Inquisitor had descended and instead pledged herself to the cause.
She did however give Adam a look like she wasn't sure if he was entirely sane or not. Lowlanders were indeed a strange bunch. Most wouldn't be this casual about someone who would have drawn their weapon...if they had one.

Of course I had to make Shepard in the DAV CC especially since they basically have her actual scars (just... suspiciously reversed to be on the right instead of the left 🤨)
Anyway, this is definitely an improvement upon her DAI appearance (see below)

That was an unfortunate truth. The world seemed perpetually ready to fall into some new kind of chaos. She had been a teenager when the Blight had struck and then she had thought that perhaps that would be the worst thing she would ever see. Now, however, she was older and hopefully a bit wiser and knew that tragedy was always just a step away.
"Movran always claimed that I must have wolf blood in my veins. I have the eyes of a predator that stalks in the night." She said with a huff of humourless laughter. "Maybe it was something from the Land of Dreams that touched me. I have some magic but I don't think its anything compared to lowlander mages."
It had also been nearly entirely self-taught. Morren had simply allowed her instincts to guide her alongside considerable trial and error. She could make the earth shift and grow thorns and other plants. Useful to have magic which called to the earth, it helped her survive and hone her other skills. She was proud of what she could do even if it was not as much as these lowlanders with their sticks and fancy flourishes.
"Yes. I made an oath to lend my strengths as they are. Until I'm no longer wanted, I will be here doing what I can." Her gaze flitted to him "You said you were the same? Perhaps we will work together sometime."
Her heart held out a tentative hope, perhaps she could build bonds here that she never had before. Maybe this elf - Solas - would be one of them.
“And ‘Thane’ is your clan leader,” he confirmed. “It is no easy thing to be ostracized for that which you cannot control. Between this war, the Blight, and the myriad other tragedies that have befallen this land, I am certain there are many parentless children.”
He would not offer pity, because he sensed that would be unwelcome. Understanding, certainly, but not pity.
“In my travels,” he began, “I have met many with physical characteristics not considered ‘normal.’ Some are due to a connection to the Fade, a spirit, or something unnameable. Others simply a byproduct of birth. It is relatively meaningless, as all superstition is, but imagine that’s a cold comfort.”
He patted the horse on the side of its neck, grateful that they weren’t skittish with him. One could never tell how a beast would react, though it had been millennia since he was ever a thing but a tired old elf. “What will you do now, that you remain with the Inquisition? I'm certain your unique skills would be appreciated."

SHE FROWNS AT HER REFLECTION IN THE MIRROR. The tailor had come and gone, and the fine doublet fit her perfectly, with the sash accenting her waist elegantly. But there was nothing for it. The wide sleeves and bell-shaped cuffs on the leather gloves, the thin leather belt - not to mention those boots... "One almost regrets the promotion to official advisor, it it means wearing this."

“It would be a very fine thing for me to lose my leg when it was my arms and shoulders which were scratched.” Morren pointed out sourly. Who knew drakelings could jump that high? She supposed one could have gotten her leg but her arms being bare meant the majority of damage was there. She was also sure some of it was her diving into bushes to avoid their angry mother’s fire.
She hoped that her tattoos would be sparred the skin scarring. They were the one thing about her body she was particularly proud of. It would be a shame.
“Ah yes, I’m sure that would have went well. Hello, local lowlanders, I promise I’m not one of those other Avvar you’ve had to deal with. Please would you tell me everything about the local area and I special swear that I won’t pillage anything or curse your chickens with my Avvar magic.” The sarcasm was thick. Did this mage not know anything about Avvar? No doubt these refugees had been victims of raids from the local clans and wouldn’t take kindly to a lone Avvar approaching for information.
She told herself she wouldn’t flinch when the mage told her about the pain. Morren was an Avvar. She could handle pain. Still that didn’t stop her face twisting into a grimace and a hiss escaping her clenched teeth.
“Korth, you enjoyed that, didn’t you?”

So I made Shepard in BG3 too (mostly to add icons for her Dragon Age verse).
