“I have no idea what you’re talking about but um thank you, I think,” Ella replied looking up at her older brother completely confused by what he meant.  Sometimes he managed to make less sense than Kreacher when he went on rants about the mess she made of her closet.

From practically the moment she fled after finding out she was pregnant Elladora regretted leaving.  She missed Barty terribly and wanted to just go back to him but she knew it wasn’t safe.  The life Barty and her had been living was no place for a child.  There was no guarantee he would want the baby either and she couldn’t risk her mother finding out so there was no point in even thinking about going back as far as she was concerned.  

She had just gotten back to her tiny flat when the contractions that had slowly been bothering her all day started to get more frequent and regular.  “Oh not now,” she muttered setting down the bags of groceries she had.  She still didn’t have half of the things she needed to raise a baby.  Now more than ever she desperately missed and needed Barty.  She decided to summon Kreacher hoping the house elf wouldn’t be too angry at her for hiding from him and her family for months.  “Kreacher!” she called desperately hoping the elf would arrive quickly.  When she heard the pop signalling the elf’s arrival she didn’t even wait for his greeting before she started giving him orders.  “Kreacher, I’m in labor.  I need you to go find Barty and tell him and... and if you can I need you to bring him here but... but come back quickly because I’ll need you to help me get to St. Mungo’s quickly, okay?”

The elf nodded before disapparating and tracking down Barty Crouch Jr.  “Mister Crouch!” the elf shouted tugging on the wizard’s robe to get his attention.  “Mister Crouch, Miss Elladora sent me!  She’s in labor!  She wants you to come with me!”

“Do I have to go to your brother’s wedding?  Can’t you just say I’m sick?  I mean clearly your mother doesn’t want me there.  I mean I don’t think she could have had me fitted for a worse dress: it’s yellow, Charlie,” Elladora grumbled shaking her head as she thought about the hideous dress shoved in the back of her closet.

“It might be,” Elladora shrugged glancing down at her shirt before continuing to walk through the kitchen in search of a coffee cup.  “I’m out of clean t-shirts with it being laundry day.  You’rs fit and you aren’t wearing this one so it seemed like it was free game.”

Elladora looked around the gala her parents had forced her to attend looking for someone to talk to or dance with.  She hated how everyone at these events was always so dull, always talking about the same old boring things.  She couldn’t stand the thought of another evening of drinking and listening to people speak about blood purity or the next couple arranged to be married again.

“So what do you think?  Can I pull off pink?  Should I maybe go all pink instead of just the highlights?”

"Momma!!!" The little girl ran straight into Elladora's classroom the second all classes had been dismissed for the day. "Momma, we have a new professor for the DADA this year! He says he used to know our father!"

“Sweetheart, there’s a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher every year.  It’s really not that exciting,”  Elladora shook her head cleaning up the books and notes she had on her desk from her last lesson of the day.  “He said what?  He… he knew your father?”

“I swear I had nothing to do with it.  It was broken before I even came down here,” Elladora shook her head.  “It must have been one of the cats or maybe you broke out on your way out earlier.”
