I made a silly little post yesterday about Killer and Pokemon and now I can't stop thinking about Killer getting to meet his favorite bestie-shaped Pokemon, so here's a little doodle of that:
Color took a little polaroid. Today is his fan selected birthday and they went hiking around new AUs. Both of them definitely ended up enjoying themselves!
I usually forget to say this, but Killer Sans belongs to @/Rahafwabas

I see pokemon and utmv and I shall be autistic about this as well to match the energy!
Under the cut because this rant is LONG.
Liepard is the Killer-coded pokemon, so it would make complete sense if Nightmare had one in his team.
For Nightmare:
Gothorita is also very fitting for Nightmare. Both because it can use hypnosis to mind control humans and pokemon and because it's strongly connected to the night as starlight is the source of its power.
Meanwhile Drifblim... I guess it mostly suffers from a bad reputation. It's a very thoughtless pokemon, usually only getting carried by the wind and loathing without thoughts. People and pokemon do sometimes use them as methods of transportation, but they're unreliable for that, as they do not decide where they're going. They just drift along.
If we want to give him a flying pokemon (which could be useful for, like, reconnaissance missions and stuff) then Golbat is the best choice. Both because a Golbat never evolving into a Crobat would be an indication of his character (they need a high level of friendship to achieve their final evolution) and because they're stealthy and vicious. They do not stop draining their victim's energy once they attack even to their own detriment.
Chandelure is literally a ghost chandelier that feeds on the souls of its victims so, like, yeah, fair.
Houndoom has as an interesting feature that if it burns you with the flames it shoots from its mouth, the pain will never go away. So Nightmare could certainly find a use for it for dishing out punishments. Their howls are also said to be rather intimidating. Ultimately, if Nightmare manages to assert his dominance (through fighting) they'll be useful tools to him.
Love giving Umbreon to Nightmare and Espeon to Dream. No notes, that's a great idea!
Florges is an interesting idea for Nightmare. But if we wanna give him a plant-adjacent pokemon, may I suggest Cacturne? I love that it starts as a pretty unassuming little guy as Cacnea and then becomes a predator as it evolves. It reminds me a lot of Nightmare. It also specifically preys on already vulnerable individuals (it lives in the desert, so it stays inactive during the day, and then attacks travelers tired from walking in the heat at night).
For Dream:
Flabébé is really cute. It also wears a crown of pollen that kinda looks like Dream's golden circlet! So they're matching!
Sylveon is a trans icon and, honestly, both twins should have it. Though I think Nightmare wouldn't appreciate its soothing aura all too much... perfect for Dream though! And it's a pokemon that loves hugging its trainer, so Dream can get some emotional comfort too. And he really needs some of that.
Audino is often paired up with the various Nurse Joys in universe, and that's because with the feelers on its ears, it can feel the heartbeat of other creatures and it's able to tell how they're doing. It would definitely be a big help for Dream!
Musharna is the dream pokemon, so I get the vibes, but one of its pokedex entries is: "When dark mists emanate from its body, don’t get too near. If you do, your nightmares will become reality". That's why I tend to give it more to Killer, because it's a very neutral pokemon. Heck, in the game it's introduced in it scares away a bunch of guys by making them hallucinate their evil boss.
However, if you want a psychic-type pokemon for him, may I suggest a Swoobat? For one thing, it would also be a good indication of Dream's character, as the only way to get it to evolve from a Woobat is through a high level of friendship. Also, its nose is heart-shaped and adorable. And, while its ultrasonic waves are strong enough to destroy concrete, if they come from a courting male they actually cause a positive mood shift in anyone they hit! It's also considered a symbol of good luck in certain places (though I may be biased on this one, because it carried my ass together with my Boldore the first time I ever played pokemon).
The idea of him finding a cute little Teddiursa and then ending up with a 5'11 Ursaring is hilarious to me. I love it!
Sunflora is literally a sunflower pokemon, so I'd say it's perfect. It's even more perfect if we give Nightmare a Cacturne because they're literally the opposite of each other as Sunflora is only active during the day and it's a more I guess stereotypical grass-type pokemon? In the sense that it's not aggressive. It's just vibing.
There are too many extra pokemon to go in-depth about those, so I'll only say something about Killer's:
Nickit is perfect for Killer. It's a cunning fox-like pokemon. And it's a stealthy little thief. Though I do wonder if Killer would want to have a pokemon that is so similar to him or if he would instinctively gravitate more toward pokemon that resemble his friends.
Gengar is a little bastard. Don't get me wrong, I love it, but that's just a fact. It lives in shadows and delights in casting curses on people. It also steals heat from its surroundings and it's a bit of a shapeshifter (it can mimic the shadows of people). It's one of the pokemon with the strongest Nightmare vibes.
I think Killer would love all pokemon regardless, because to me he is and always will be an animal guy. Doesn't matter the animal, he'll love it. But I think that most likely, once he's out of Nightmare's grasp, he'd maybe go mostly for pokemon that remind him of his old boss a bit less. And also that remind him of himself a bit less because, you know, self-hatred.
Im gonn be autistic and yap about what pokemon i think the apple twins would have
This is just pure vibes honest i havent put much thought into this
For dream im thinkinggg
Flabebe, which is like a tiny pokemon on a flower floating around and i just like dream woth flowers
Sylveon, because they evolve when you give them love and friendship and yadayada which fits dream A LOT
Audino, im pretty sure she was a pokemon of nurse joy(?) So 🤷♀️
Musharna, this one is just PURE vibes
Ursaring, he probably found it as a teddiursa and now its a behemoth of a pokemon
Sunflora, another flower pokemon 😌
NIGHTMARES TURN
Gothorita, i mean it fits him
Drifblim, im pretty those damn things kidnap children. Fits nightmare because he also kidnaps people
Chandalure, again this is just vibes. The castle is dark anyways you probably need a light
Houndoom, the castle would probably be filled with them along with those papyrus guards (i think he had papyrus guards in canon.....R.I.P literally dust nightmare probably orders them to go guilt trip him)
Umbreon, because i gave dream a eeveelution too (.... i know pokemon teams are like....6? ACTUALLY THAT MIGHT BE WRONG. IM ADDING MORE FUCK POKEMON TEAMS 😡)
Florges, because big garden in castle, also i gave dream a flabebe
Okay additonal pokemon i think they would have not in pokemon teams
FIRST OF ALL, UMBREON FOR NIGHTMARE AND ESPEON FOR DREAM
UMBREON AND ESPEON ARE DAY AND NIGHT.
YOU SEE WHERE IM GOING WITH THIS
Ahem
For nightmare: Zoroark, Liepard, Darkrai (the fucking nightmare pokemon), mightyena, galarian corsola, banette, sableye, duskull, pumpkaboo, mimikyu, marshadow, polteagheist, cursola (not to be confused with galarian corsola),
For dream: bellossom, jumpluff, shaymin, deerling, serperior, swadloon, cottonee, lilligant, maractus, skiddo, phantump, fomantis, morelull, bounsweet, galarian ponyta, cleffa, altaria, dedene, cutiefly, diancie, comfey,
Killer has a gengar and a nickit
Oh that’s cute. @stellocchia mentioned the Musharna reminding Killer of Color before, and they also mentioned one that reminded Color of Killer but I forgot the name.
I don’t know anything about pokemon, so i probably can’t tell if any of these are actually accurate or not, but they seem to fit based off your descriptions.

Soooo... About this post on Color and Killer's favorite pokemon... I already made a doodle for Killer and Musharna and I swear Color's one with Liepard was supposed to be a silly doodle as well, but I got possessed and I got carried away:
Color belongs to @/superyoumna

To continue this train of thought, this one would be Color's favorite pokemon:
Liepard is a dark-type Pokemon that gets introduced in the same game Musharna is introduced. Meaning that's the game Killer plays over and over again obsessively so Color had plenty of opportunities to learn about it.
And, well, this little guy is very Killer-coded. Silent but deadly. And also cat-coded.
Also, this is the pokemon it evolves from:
And it's also very Killer coded. Killer doesn't necessarily act "cute" as a ruse, but, as seen in the Killer vs Blue comic, he does act harmless or wounded at times to lower an enemy's guard. And he deffo steals for fun, nobody can convince me otherwise!
Killer would love playing Pokemon... there are so many possible pets for him to get attached to and they can't even die. His main objective would be to complete the Pokedex. Like, I can imagine him rushing through the story so he can get to the post-game content and just pick up all the ones he's missing while chilling. 'Cause there's less rush once you're done with the plot.
I'm now wondering who his favorite pokemon would be. There are plenty of cat-themed ones and I'm sure he loves all of those dearly, but I personally think his favorite would be this little fella:
Musharna is a psychic-type Pokemon that produces a thing known as the "dream mist". Depending on the iteration, said mist works somewhat differently, in the early ones it takes on different shapes and colors depending on the dreams it ate, while later on they make it a grumpy nightmare-bringer (very lame of the later games).
Anyway, in the game where it's introduced, the evil guys are literally mistreating a Munna (the Pokemon Musharna evolves from) and trying to kidnap it when Musharna comes in and scares the shit out of the evil guys with visions of their boss being angry, therefore saving the little one.
Now, I think Killer would definitely see Color and himself in that. And Musharna does kind of look like Color with the color-changing smoke coming out of its head on top of that.
Basically, Musharna is too best-friend-shaped not to be his favorite
