It was certainly a good thing that Veneziana kept the parachute Mary gave her,
considering how far she ended up falling down the lift shaft once Daeif identified her as a threat to his plan.

You need to learn how to fall 3/10
Hangster (and IceMav) - Bradley is too tall to be a naval aviator and instead becomes a sky diver, specialising in spin recovery. He is a civilian contractor to the Airforce and Navy to teach pilots how to survive parachute spins from ejections. A more in-depth version of this post.
PROLOGUE 2003-2006
2007-2010 – The middle years
He ends up with another part-time job, fortunately using his human performance part of his degree and working as a personal trainer, mostly early mornings. Jumping out of planes is expensive. He moves out of the house him and Mav usually live in, but months later ends up moving in with Ice when he’s diagnosed with cancer. They don’t sugar coat things, not now that he’s an adult. He has to listen to them talk about wills and property and investments and assets; wants to stick his head in the sand and just chant la-la-la until it all goes away. He doesn’t want to consider his life without them both in it. Hard enough to think he’s already lost his actual parents, he can’t lose them too.
He sits through it though, signs forms he reads carefully because both Ice and Mav frown and look disappointed the first time he signed without even looking. They get similar forms for him, given his current career and he’s pretty sure Mav has to excuse himself to go and throw up when he says he doesn’t want to be kept on life support indefinitely if he has a bad fall. Ice just nods and accepts his decision with quiet equanimity and he wonders if it’s because he is facing his own mortality. He starts a YouTube channel, figures out how to take effective video and then edit it properly. Loads them up without commentary; originally it’s for those he’s taken up for tandem jumps, but then it’s for other instructors around the country, and then a couple of them move overseas. His channel has a small but dedicated following.
One of the silver linings of Ice’s cancer diagnosis is the fact he seems to no longer give any fucks about what people might say about his relationship with Mav. Don’t ask, don’t tell is still in effect but it’s also definitely very firmly in the don’t tell realm as far as Bradley can figure out. Everyone who they interact with seems to simply know that they’re together, and have been for as long as everyone remembers. Definitely for as long as he remembers. No one wants to tell and he guesses that Ice is high enough up that there’s probably blind-eyes all over the place.
Then Ice insists on Mav moving in, which he promptly leaves the house for, not wanting to hang around for listening to the argument or hearing the makeup sex that will surely follow. So they put the house on the market, then he’s given the money and told he can finally buy the plane he wants which he delays a little and carefully shops around, listening to the advice of his old instructors and also Ice and Mav. All his gifts for years are centered around either skydiving or filming and editing software. It doesn’t escape his notice that Mav’s gifts tend towards the safer indoor aspects, while Ice tends toward the safety needs. They’re both supportive in their own ways.
Living together, all of them, properly for the first time, results in the sudden influx of photos that pop up, every flat surface has frames with photos and Ice starts taking more photos. All of their lives are visually documented on the walls and bookshelves, although Bradley notes the front room Ice uses as a study and work room remains very formal and devoid of any personal touches. Other than formal portraits, like his graduation photo. Regardless of what room he’s in he feels like he is at home.
… … …
His nightmare becomes a reality, although not in full. The call he got was from Bradley, starting off with I’m alive but I’m on the way to the hospital. He’d then passed the phone over to someone else. Apparently he’d taken a bad landing after being forced to use his second backup shute. He’d been too close to the ground so had hit it hard. His hands are shaking as he walks down the hospital corridor, the only thing that has him not vomiting is the fact that Bradley is the one who called him. That Bradley was alive; maybe not alive and well, but alive enough to call him.
“Bad fall,” Mav mutters. “Like he’s tripped over the front step and grazed his hands…”
He pushes the door open to Bradley’s room. He’s pale, face covered in bandages, one arm in a cast and both legs in braces, but not as he’d imagined a broken spine and him being in something like full-traction it’s a little bit of a relief.
“He’s damned lucky.”
“Doesn’t look lucky.”
“He had his legs tucked up, hit the ground and rolled. Like it was as natural as breathing. He dislocated his shoulder but continued with the momentum… most people I know would have hit the ground feet-first despite years of training and the shock would have caused spiral fractures. They’ve braced his ankles as a matter of precaution because the x-rays showed no damage, which is a miracle but also isn’t surprising considering he walked into the hospital. We don’t usually say that you can be a natural at skydiving, but this kid is definitely a natural.”
Mav sighs.
Of course he is.
… … …
“If the cancer didn’t get me, then I’m sure jumping out of a plane isn’t going to kill me either.”
“Fighting words. It’s a good thing I’m taller than you. When we come into land you’re going to lift your legs.”
He listens as Bradley takes him through everything, despite the fact that he knows it all, having listened to it so often he’s pretty sure he could repeat it back, learning it alongside Bradley and quizzing him on it. He can follow Bradley’s instructions, he’s in the Navy. When he’s strapped to Bradley, waved the all-clear he feels a little frisson of abject terror but it’s too late, he’s falling toward to the ground and then his fear fades away and he lets out a whoop of joy, hears Bradley’s amused laughter before it’s whipped away by the rushing air. They hit the ground and it’s gentler than he thought it would be.
“Woo! What a rush!”
“Yeah? You like it?”
“It reminds me of my first launch off a carrier. Damn. Yeah. I get it now. Love you kid,” he says, knocking his own helmet against Bradley’s, the words aren’t ones he says often, but feels the need to say them more often now. Doesn’t want Bradley to ever doubt how he feels. Mav either for that matter…
“Love you too.”
… … …
“You were both up there, together.”
He should have known it would give Mav another nightmare and he curls himself around him, makes gentle shushing noises under his breath, glad now that he doesn’t have to try and do this over the phone.
“Do you trust him?”
“Of course I do!”
“Then know that skydiving, especially tandem skydiving is safer than driving to and from the hangar. Car accidents are far more common and hurt far more people than skydiving does. You’ve seen him with his gear. Hell, we check it. He’s damned good at what he does. He’s meant to be up in the air just as much as you are…”
Mav lets out a little hiccupping breath and Tom knows he’s got something that’ll definitely take his mind of everything else.
“You know, there’s something else I want to check off on my bucket list…” Tom says, and he’s not going to move, but his otherwise grand plans aren’t getting a look in right now. This feels right.
“What?”
“Pete Mitchell, will you marry me?”
… … …
Ice and Mav leave plans on the table one night. An extension to the house, with a shared internal door but his own front door; effectively making two houses. A large bedroom, another room for an office with a desk, extension to the garage so he can store his gear, enough room to roll out his chutes and carry out checks. It’s very clearly an invitation to never move out, but also to live independently and he finds the sticky notes they use to communicate when they’re too busy to actually stop and talk. Simply draws a heart and writes love it in the center.
He doesn’t bother looking at moving out of home again.

HEY HEY HEY so I’ve never requested anything before bc I’m new to tumblr and idk if this is even where I’m supposed to request thing so if i’m wrong then I sincerely apologise.
BUT, if I am then slay I have a funky idea for a tangerine fic that I think you would write so well :)
So I saw you said you’re British but idk if you ever went to a youth club? Like where they have 5-12 year olds come for group games in a sports hall and they do arts and crafts and play with the big rainbow parachute thing on the ground?? Well anyhoo I’ve been stuck on this non hitmen au where I can see reader being one of the leaders who takes the club and usually lemon is the other one, but for whatever reason, maybe like a recreational injury, he needs tangerine to fill in for a few weeks. So this is reader and tan meeting for the first time other than Lemon mentioning him and obviously Tan isn’t used to being around kids and is a grumpy dude and doesn’t know how to talk to them while playing the games but reader finds it funny because she knows them all well. Some funny Tangerine and kiddio interactions results in him catching her attention and the two become better friends while the group are away with the arts and crafts leader. Maybe they get up to some interesting stuff after a few weeks in the sports supply store room?? I just think it’s a fun little thing and the idea gives me nostalgia because if my old youth club lol
HI HI HII!! don’t worry you did it right! okay so, for this I had too many ideas (as it felt so nostalgic to write) I kinda added too much but not enough and feel as though it may not make any sense (like I waffled) I really loved this idea and don’t know if I did as well as I could’ve. but thank you for requesting, hope you like it💌

Most days, you worked at the local youth club, where you'd lead all sorts of fun activities for the kids. Whether that be arts and crafts, sports in the indoor hall or nature walks, whatever it was that kept the kids entertained, you did it.
Luckily you have a work partner that helps lighten the weight of the kids' intense energy. He's much like a child himself, so he fits in perfectly. When he first joined several months back, the kids gave him a nickname before he could even introduce himself, naming him Lemon, well, Uncle Lemon. There was no reason behind the nickname other than it was 'funny'.
You and Lemon were quite a pair when handling the kids. You had worked out a system that allowed the children to do as much as possible in the short time you had available. You'd lead the artsy sessions, and Lemon managed the sporty activities.
Last week, during one of the after-school sessions, Lemon ironically injured his wrist on one of the climbing apparatuses while on lookout duty. So for his temporary replacement, he asked his brother to fill in. You've never met his brother before, only hearing bits of him when Lemon would share stories or memories. You were a little uncertain if he would be a good substitute considering how much of a grump he was described as.
-
Today is his brother's first day, so you were patiently waiting by the front desk to give him a quick tour before the kids arrived. Hearing a car pull up out front, you hastily organise the schedule for this afternoon, flicking through the papers as you make your way to the entrance.
"Hey, 'lright?" the man greets, extending a hand.
"Hi," you reply, shaking his hand as you hold his intense eye contact. "You're Lemon's brother, right?"
"Yeah-- Lemon?" he questions, his head slightly cocking.
Snickering. "Yeah, the uh- kids gave him that nickname when he joined. Clearly, it's stuck. How is he doing, by the way?"
"So dramatic," he scoffs. "Acting like he broke his whole body. Can't believe the knob-- sorry, the idiot broke his wrist on a climbing frame," he snickers, following after you.
"Yeah, that sounds about right," chuckling.
-
It took a little time for Lemon's brother to settle into his new role. It was quite clear that he was not used to being around kids, but as the afternoon went on, he grew more comfortable, and his demeanour began to change. Soften, even.
He was 'coaching' a game of dodgeball while you entertained the eliminated kids, telling them stories until the next round.
"Bob..." a little boy asks, lightly tugging on your hand.
"We're still calling me 'Bob'?" you question, your features playful as you act displeased. "But, yes, munchkin. What's up?" you ask, ruffling his hair.
"What should we call him?" he asks, blatantly pointing across the hall.
"I think something funny," someone else adds, giggling.
"I think we should call him turd man,"
"Turd man?" you entertain, pretending to be disgusted. "That's so disgusting."
"I like turd man,"
"Me too," another adds.
"Mr Grump,"
"Don't forget he's Lemon's brother, so we should call him something similar?" you prompt, trying to ease them into a less disgusting name.
"BANANA," a young boy calls out, practically jumping in excitement.
"Apple,"
"Orange,"
"Lemon number two,"
"Oh, how about something citrus-like. Something sour, maybe?" you chuckle, occasionally catching eyes with the new replacement across the way.
"Satsuma," a little girl calls out, pulling the small orange from her shoe.
"Sweetie, that's a tangerine," you smile.
"That's a good name,"
"We should call him that,"
"Please can we call him that, Bob?"
"Please..."
"Hm, I don't see why not," you laugh, ushering the kids along to join in the new game.
"Tangerine," a young girl calls out, rushing over.
"Tangerine!" another screams.
"Why the calling me that?" he whispers, his head hung low as he leans towards you.
"Ask them," you snicker, talking close to his ear. "Could be worse. They call me Bob,"
"Okay, yeah, you're right. That's much worse," he chuckles. "'lright," he claps, gathering the kids together. "We got time for one more game, ain't we, Bob?"
Grinning. "Yeah, I think so, Tangerine."
After one quick game of dodgeball later, you, Tangerine and the kids walked back to the main rec room to wind down before hometime. All sat in a circle as you all took turns to share your favourite part of the day.
"Where are you from, Tangerine?" a little boy asks, picking his nose as he poked him with his free hand.
He turns to look at you, his features begging for help as he leans away from the bogey picker. "Um... from my house,"
"Me too,"
"And me,"
"I'm from Poland,"
"Me too,"
"My daddy is from Ireland,"
"Where is that?"
"Near Spain,"
"No, that's an island,"
"You're wrong,"
Listening to all the kids blabber on, you face Tangerine, masking a snicker when you see his exasperated expression. "Hang in there," you mouth, a smile pulling on the corners of your lips.
Playing along, he checks the time on his watch. "Almost there," he whispers.
As the days went on, Tangerine grew a lot more comfortable with the kids, and he looked as though he was starting to enjoy his time with them. There was something so endearing about seeing a burly, attractive man acting so juvenile while entertaining kids, how soft and gentle he could be while speaking to them.
-
The two of you had spent lots of time together over the last couple of weeks, hanging out and chatting whenever there was a moment free. Tangerine was very slow to warm up, very reserved, but once you got past the first layer, you realised just how decent a person he is.
The kids had just left for the day, so you and Tangerine had to pack away the equipment in the sports cupboard that was left out.
"Hey, pass us that, would ya?" he asks, nodding to the bag of balls behind you.
"The ballbag?" you grin, reaching over the messily organised area. "You gotta say it. That's the rule round here," you joke.
"Ballbag," he says flatly, extending a hand. "Now give it,"
"Yeah, one min, my legs stuck,"
"Stuck?"
"Yeah," you sigh.
"Don't move. I'll come help," grinning.
"You're a funny man,"
He parts the boxes to the side as he makes his way over to you, moving the equipment out of the way so he can crouch to the floor beside you. His hand is warm and firm as he grips your ankle, slowly guiding it from the crack, looking up at you.
He coughs in his fist, clearing his throat. "There we go," he says, glancing away from your admiration-filled gaze.
Clearing your own throat, awkwardly looking away. "Thanks,"
"Yeah," he nods, meeting your eyes once more.
He slowly stands up, keeping his eyes glued to yours. His head hangs low as he brushes a strand of hair away from your face, his eyes darting over you. "No problem," he whispers.
"We should get going," you whisper back, practically pulling away.
"Don't worry. I weren't gonna kiss ya," Tan chuckles, lacing his hands into yours. Smirking. "Not yet, anyway."

reia [is it okay if i call u that?] tell us something u did in ur dr that you would never do here :]
and have a good day<33
HI!! Yes, that’s perfectly fine! You guys can call me anything you want :). I actually love when you guys use my name it makes me feel like I know you guys ☹️❤️
Tough question, hmmm. In my fame DR for my 21st birthday, I went skydiving. I would NEVER do it here. I’m not at all scared of heights but I’m definitely scared of jumping out of a plane and having to trust your parachute is gonna deploy. Was it fun? Absolutely. But was it terrifying? 100%. I can’t see myself ever willingly doing this in this reality. Maybe indoor skydiving but that’s it.
And you have a good day too, love! Thank you so much for asking this ❤️

Do you think Thunderbirds (TOS) was made for kids? Because the amount of smoking in that show LMFAOOO and there are some "adult" jokes in a few eps too like the Attack of the Alligators
Hello my lovely Anon, I hope you're having a wonderful day, and I wish you a kind year to follow as we come up on the New Year ^_^
To answer your question: Well... Kinda.
While Thunderbirds was officially released as a 'for children' program, it was written and designed 'for all ages' AND (to be utterly frank) 'for kids' shows of today are MUCH more... well... younger and 'softer' I guess is the way to put it. It's generally assumed kids can't handle a lot of things that used to be totally fine... in some ways that's good, in some ways that's bad.
The U rating, which is Kids shows in England, often showed things that by todays standards would be pg13 if not higher (no sexual stuff, but death, and violence, and so on). I mean look at Animals of Farthing Wood for a 'Childrens Show' (not even FAMILY) for examples of this. It's a great show, but it would NEVER be made today, because there are character deaths and on-screen violence and so on.
The adult jokes pretty much ALWAYS went over the heads of kids watching, and still usually does (not just for Tbirds but shows and films in general). It generally has to be really explicit before the average kid picks up on innuendo, or jokes about taxes, etc.
Plus, as I said, while it was rated U and thus 'for children' Thunderbirds was WRITTEN 'for the entire family / for everyone' and easily half of the audience were teens and up, and with the kids watching, the adults in the house were usually watching the show as well, and generally enjoying it. So the Andersons had that in mind as they wrote the first 3 Supermarionation shows (the final two, Scarlet and Secret Service, were aimed at teens to adults, and if I recall correctly lost the U rating).
There was action and adventure and rescues nd silly, easy to understand, jokes for the kids watching... and stuff for the teens and adults watching 'baked in' as well, like the romance and a subtext that older viewers could enjoy. Worked too, given how much of a phenomenon the Anderson shows generally were, Thunderbirds in particular was MASSIVE. (Plus, there were a lot of fans watching the show after / alongside the comics and novels, which were aimed at teen and up audiences, so they came in more... hm... primed to pick up the subtext if that makes sense)
As for the smoking... while cigarette ADS were banned in... it was either 64 or 67 I forget... Characters smoking was not banned from children's programs in the UK until recently. Heck it wasn't banned in the US until the 1970s (by Nixon in the mid 70s I think). Sort of like guns with that, where in the 1980s guns could only shoot lasers, you always had to see a parachute for the enemy aircraft you shot down, etc. While it's CURRENTLY a taboo and shocking thing to see... at the time it wasn't considered such. It wasn't even done for COOL FACTOR either, the characters are seen smoking because it was just... normal everyday stuff. Remember, while it's common knowledge NOW, the health issues of smoking weren't really KNOWN at the time this came out. That was more the late 60s through the 70s. Heck, the UK didn't ban smoking indoors until... 2008? And there are still many countries where it isn't banned at all.
but the TL;DR is... It was a children's program, TECHNICALLY. ^_^ But it both was aimed at and written for all ages and had elements that most kids wouldn't pick up on worked in for the older audiences and fans watching... and 'kids shows' have become more and more sanitized and 'kiddy' as time has passed on top of that.

Prompt: mvp Vanessa verse
Ness is in the Plex with Gregory (brithday party or some such for one of his classmate's) and the virus takes over.
Figured I may as well kill two birds with one stone by filling this prompt for the first place prize of the poll’s civil war! No birthday party, but Gregory’s here! And it’s a real treat for y’all, being about 1,500 words. Congrats to the MVP!Vanessa voters, and I hope you all enjoy!
Prey
Quite frankly, Vanessa couldn’t believe her bad luck. Ordinarily, it was convenient to be in the pizzaplex when the virus was triggered in someone—saved her the commute. But not today, not when she had Gregory with her, and not when somehow, against all odds, two animatronics had bugged out.
Worst of all, she hadn’t actually been with Gregory. She didn’t know where he was, if he was in or near the lockdown zones, or if he was safe on the other side of the building. This was the last time she let him go on ahead while she used the bathroom.
Vanessa slammed through the locker room door and nearly ripped her locker open. She kept a spare crowbar here for just such occasions as this, though of course she hadn’t replaced her backup FazerBlaster yet after it fizzled to its death a few days ago. She just hadn’t had time to make the modifications on a new one.
Cursing herself for not making the time, Vanessa charged back into the employee hallways, bee-lining to the nearest lockdown zone she’d been alerted to. Please, please don’t let Gregory be caught in it.
It was the indoor play area, which meant it was any kid’s heaven of foam pits, trampolines, slides, and all manner of climbable structures. Even Vanessa had fun in there.
But there was no animatronic permanently assigned to that area. For this exact reason. It would trap countless kids with a murder robot. She tried to remember who the most common guests were—Moondrop, Chica, and Monty, she was pretty sure.
Had Gregory said he was going to the arcade or the play area? She couldn’t remember, not for the life of her.
Frantically pressing her keycard to the blinking-red reader, she growled as she shoved into the room, fully prepared to be faced with screaming and crying kids. And blood. Potentially a lot of it.
Instead, it seemed like business as usual. Laughter and chatter and children bodily flinging themselves into the foam pits. Breathing heavily, adrenaline primed for a fight, Vanessa scrabbled for her phone to double-check the location. If this was a glitch itself…
She didn’t have time to even pull it out of her pocket. Her Older Sibling Sixth Sense pinged, and her head shot up. Across the room, bouncing between trampolines with an urgency that most might read as an excess of energy, Gregory was leading Moondrop on a twisted chase.
Oh, hell. Her brother was playing bait.
Not just that, she considered as she took off at a speedy but not too conspicuous pace around the edge of the massive room. By putting up a front of tag, he was singlehandedly keeping the rest of the room’s occupants—easily over a hundred between the kids and their scattered parents—from even realizing anything was wrong.
Vanessa caught his eye as she neared her destination: a door that lead into a large empty room where games with large groups were often played. Freeze tag, red light green light, they even had an enormous gym parachute. Today, she’d be playing piñata, featuring Moondrop.
Gregory caught on without missing a beat and changed his zigzagging course to approach. Vanessa swiped her keycard and slipped inside without anyone noticing to ask if the room was open for use.
It was beautifully seamless. Gregory hit the last trampoline just right and sailed onto the wide padded walkway that surrounded the trampoline area. It was a straight shot through the door, and Vanessa swung it open wide just as he reached it, yanking him behind it with her a moment before a gaining Moondrop could snatch him up. She slammed it—no matter how much she wanted Gregory on the other side, leaving it open any longer was asking for disaster to strike—and whirled with her crowbar raised.
Moondrop skidded to a halt and spun to backtrack, and he got a face full of crowbar for his efforts.
He went down hard, but he wasn’t out for the count yet. Following after him, Vanessa wound up again and sent the hooked end through the seam of his faceplate—this was why the crowbar worked so well. Bad enough bodily damage sent the animatronics into automatic shutdowns.
Now was no exception. Her crowbar wedged in deep, and he went limp before he could even finish standing. She stepped back, breathing heavily. His eyes were dark; he didn’t move.
Turning around, she said, “You good?”
Wide-eyed and shaking a little, Gregory nodded. He inched closer, watching Moondrop intently. “He didn’t even touch me,” he whispered.
Vanessa held out her arm, and he immediately crashed into her. “He’s out until they fix his face. We’re safe, okay?”
He nodded against her. She squeezed him closer.
“That was incredibly brave of you,” she said. “I wish it hadn’t come to that, but you… you did real good, kiddo.”
“It was weird,” he said. “He spazzed out and then it was like his eyes were just empty.”
“They go a little zombie-like, don’t they?”
“Mhm. Slower, too. I know he’s fast enough to catch me when he’s really trying.”
It was a silver lining, that they were just slightly less under the effects of the virus.
“Let’s never do that again,” Vanessa decided.
Backing up, Gregory didn’t even argue for the sake of it. “Yeah. Once is more than enough.”
Vanessa tried to retrieve her crowbar, but it was thoroughly jammed. The repair guys always found that funny; they kept a tally of how many times they had to pry her crowbar loose with their own.
She gestured tiredly at one of the room’s side entrances. Adrenaline crashes sucked. “Let’s beat it, shrimp.”
He led the way as she fished out her phone to log Moondrop’s defeat. The lockdown would lift in a minute, and a crew would hustle over to retrieve his body. Gregory pushed through the door as she tagged their location.
“Roxy?” she heard Gregory ask. “What are you doing here?”
Vanessa’s blood froze in her veins. She looked up with agonizing slowness, already throwing herself forward. Her phone fell to the floor with a clatter.
She’d forgotten there were two glitched-out animatronics today. And of course Gregory hadn’t known. It had never happened before; he had no reason to be wary straight off.
Gregory gasped and stumbled back as Roxy lunged for him with her mouth wide open, teeth so, so sharp.
Vanessa’s fingers snagged his shirt. She yanked him away from Roxy, eyes blazing with righteous, protective fury. It still wouldn’t be enough.
She shoved her arm out sideways, in a defensive block pose—it was the only thing between Roxy’s fangs and her brother’s head.
And Roxy’s jaw clamped down over Vanessa’s forearm, blood immediately spurting out from between her teeth.
The slow motion feeling shattered with the sudden agony of her arm being shredded. Shrieking from part fury, part pain, Vanessa went down with a brain-rattling crash, Roxy’s momentum knocking both of them over. The weight of Roxy’s body slamming down on top of her punched all the air from her lungs.
Roxy thrashed her head side to side without letting go, reminiscent of the wolves she was modeled after when they were trying to tear a chunk of meat off their defeated prey. Vanessa’s vision whited out. Her mouth hinged open on a silent scream.
There was so much blood. She couldn’t feel her fingers.
She’d been clawed before, she’d caught a stray tooth before, she’d been smacked around before. Nothing else had been as bad as this. This was the first time she thought she would finally die doing her job.
She hoped Gregory was running. That he was anywhere but here.
Vanessa should have known better.
Roxy reared back, releasing Vanessa’s arm, presumably preparing to rip out her throat. But in that one moment when her bloody mouth was snapping shut between bites, Vanessa’s stupid little brother bodily threw himself at Roxy’s face. The animatronics got kinda tunnel-visioned with the virus—hence Moondrop ignoring all the easier prey after Gregory got his attention—so he truly took Roxy by surprise. She rocked backward from the force, and if Vanessa hadn’t been dry heaving from the pain, she’d have yelled at him for thinking that would help.
But Gregory wasn’t done yet. Vanessa’s vision was too blurry for her to really understand how he did it, but Gregory somehow ended up clinging to the back of Roxy’s head like a monkey. Numb shock spread through her, both at the sight and as the trauma of her injury caught up to her brain.
Roxy flailed, her dumbed-down thoughts struggling to process the sudden child literally wrapped around her head. And the second he had a secure hold with his legs, Gregory was reaching into her eye sockets and yanking with a war cry.
Both Roxy’s eyes popped out with the snapping of plastic and wires. Sparks jumped into the air. Her entire body seized and locked up, and with a great rattling crash, Roxy collapsed, automatically powering down from the damage.
Vanessa’s body felt heavy, her thoughts slowing. It was so hard to keep her eyes open.
Gregory rolled free of Roxy’s still twitching limbs, dropping both eyes to the floor. “Vanessa!”
That—that was her name. Gregory was saying her name.
“Vanessa!”
She… she should respond.
“Vanessa!”
Darkness rose up to greet her, and she lost consciousness before she could find the strength to.

10 Popular Adventure Things to do in Dubai
Not everyone associates Dubai with adventure. For most of us, Dubai is a glamorous city known for its record-breaking constructions and luxurious architecture. But Dubai's tourism is not limited to sightseeing. The city offers an array of adventurous activities, from simple adventures to extreme ones. As an adventure enthusiast, you can enjoy different kinds of land, water, and air adventures in Dubai. Here are the top 10 popular adventure things to do in Dubai.
Skydiving
Did you know that Dubai is one of the best skydiving places in the world? SkyDive Dubai is most famous for offering memorable skydiving experiences to those interested. The place has tandem skydiving for beginners, where you go skydiving with a professional diver. You can choose to dive over the Dubai desert or Palm Jumeirah. Your skydiving experience begins when you gear up for your ride by donning the safety equipment. You will be briefed about safety instructions before you head to the airplane. You will jump with your instructor when the airplane reaches around 4000 feet. You fly freely for a few minutes, and your instructor pulls the parachute to ensure a safe landing on Earth. Your skydiving experience will be captured on camera. You can watch it whenever you want.
Hot Air Balloon Riding
If you want to enjoy the view from the top without the adrenaline rush caused by skydiving, going on a hot air balloon ride will be a better option. A hot air balloon ride is a desert activity that will give you a bird’s eye view of the desert area. The ride starts early in the morning. You need to reach the desert before sunrise. Watch as the experts get the balloon fired up for the flight. You will also have to listen to and remember the safety instructions. Then, it is time to hop into the basket. Once you are inside the basket, the hot air balloon starts ascending in the air. As your hot air balloon starts its ascent, you will get to watch the transformation of the desert from dark to night. The sunrise in the desert is something you must see. If you are lucky, you will also get to see some flora and fauna of the desert.
Skiing
Skiing in Dubai may seem like an impossible feat. But impossible is not a word in the Dubai dictionary. You can have a fabulous skiing experience at Ski Dubai, the largest indoor ski resort in the world. What’s more surprising is that Ski Dubai is located inside a shopping mall (The Mall of Emirates). The large ski mountain is the highlight of the place. The mountain is 400 meters long and 80 meters wide. It will give you ample space to practice your skiing skills. If you want to learn how to ski, you can enroll at the ski school here. You can also try other adventure activities like snowboarding, ziplining, zorbing, etc. Ski Dubai also has a large snow world. Here, you can enjoy fun snow games, rides, and activities.
Deep Diving
Scuba diving is an extreme water adventure you can enjoy in Dubai. But to have a unique underwater experience, you must visit Deep Dive Dubai. With a depth of 60 meters, Deep Dive Dubai is the deepest swimming pool in the world. During your dive here, you will come across an abandoned sunken city. You can swim inside apartments, sit inside an abandoned car or a bike, play a half-finished game of chess, try your hand at a pool game, or just swim through the different structures inside the pool. If you are new to scuba diving, you can opt for the Discovery Dive, which is meant for beginners. Experts and certificate holders can explore the pool in its entirety. The water temperature is kept constant at 30 degrees C to make it comfortable for the divers. Plus, there are several cameras inside the pool for everyone’s safety.
Ziplining
Another aerial adventure that you can do in Dubai is ziplining. XLine Dubai offers a ziplining experience like no other, right over Dubai Marina. The zipline at Dubai Marina is the world’s longest urban zipline. It is a km long and goes at 80 km/hour. Your ziplining adventure begins at the top of Ajman Towers. First, you are strapped to a safety harness. Wearing a helmet is also mandatory, after which you begin your thrilling flight. As the zipline catches speed, take time to look down to enjoy the view of the Dubai Marina. Flying over the tall buildings, luxurious yachts, the Venetian-style canal, and the hustle and bustle of the area is something you will always remember.
Desert Adventures
The desert safari is a popular tourist activity in Dubai, mainly because you can indulge in fun, adventurous activities. The desert safari usually begins with a dune-bashing ride, like a rollercoaster ride. A professional driver takes you on a joy ride all over the dunes in a 4x4 vehicle. There are more desert adventures waiting for you at the desert camp. One of the most exciting is camel riding, where you can roam around the desert Arab style. Sandboarding is also something you will enjoy. Here, you try to find balance on the ski board as you ski on the desert slopes. Then, there is quad biking, where you can drive an ATV on the dunes.
Kite Surfing
Dubai is popular for water sports. Almost all the beaches in Dubai offer a host of water sports activities. But nothing can beat kite surfing. The warm climate of Dubai throughout the year makes it ideal for kite surfing, especially during the winter season. Kite surfing is standing on a board while attached to a kite via a harness. As the kite launches into the waters, you are carried to the shore with the help of the wind. Enjoy the wind sweeping through your hair while checking out the panoramic view of the Dubai skyline. This water sport is available on Kite Beach and Nessnass Beach.
Air Walk
Those who know about Dubai will also know about Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. It is a norm for people visiting Dubai to visit the observation deck on the Burj Khalifa. But if you want your visit to Burj Khalifa to be unique and exciting, you must go for the Edge Sky Walk experience. The Edge Walk happens on the 55th floor of the building, 220 meters above the ground. As the name suggests, you walk on the edge of an open balcony, testing your bravery and enjoying the view of the city. As you will be secured with multiple harnesses, you can walk around the edge handsfree. Thrill enthusiasts can also swing from the edge with the world underneath your feet.
Flyboarding
Flyboarding is a water sport that has captured the attention of the world right from the time it was introduced a few years ago. This water sport happens on a flyboard attached to a hydro-powered tube that propels the ride up in the air. If you are trying it for the first time, it may take some time to get your balance on the board. But it is not impossible. Flyboarding is available at Jumeirah Beach. You can learn the basics from an instructor before hopping on board. It may require a few tries to get the hang of it. But you can enjoy soaring up in the sky multiple times when you do.
Ice-Skating
Dubai weather can be brutal, especially during the day. To enjoy cool weather while having fun, you must head to Dubai Ice Rink for an ice-skating session. The Dubai Ice Rink is as large as 28 football grounds. Both kids and adults can have fun skating here. Dubai Ice Rink also offers classes for those who want to learn ice skating. You not only get to learn some cool ice-skating skills but also showcase them in front of the public during the ice dancing show at the end of the course. Even if you do not want to join the course, Dubai Ice Rink lets you spend a relaxing yet thrilling afternoon or evening with your family. Dubai's adventures will make your holiday in the city exciting and dramatic. Take pictures and videos of your adventures to flaunt on your social media handles.

From the indoors emoji prompt list could you do🏎️ (playing Mario kart) for Yata?
Of course I can, my dear! Thank you for the request and I hope you’ll enjoy the headcanons!
🏎️ PLAYING MARIO KART
Mario Kart really isn’t one of Yata’s favourite games. It’s not that he dislikes it and he’ll play it with someone if they want him too, but it’s definitely not his first choice in games and he’ll usually end up recommending something else if someone wants to play a game with him.
If they are really set on playing Mario Kart with him, he plays and he does give it his all. As I’ve mentioned in previous headcanons, Yata plays anything to win and he can be really competitive.
Yata will be so goddamn particular about which character he plays as, what kart and wheels and parachute he uses, and the quickest way to piss him off royally will be to use any of the same things he does or to take them before he locks his choices into place. For anyone curious, he always prefers to play Morton, using the Circuit Special, Slick tires, and the Plane Glider. He’s definitely the type of player who wants prioritizes speed and he’s really good at controlling it too.
He’s not playing the goddamn Baby Park track, don’t even ask him to. He does have a huge fondness for Neo Bowser City and Mount Wario as far as tracks goes though.
He won’t really take defeat really well and though he hadn’t wanted to play the game in the first place, if Yata lost, he’s demanding a rematch and will keep going until he beats them.
If he wins, he’s at least a good sport about it and offers to teach them some tricks and such to improve their playing for when they play against someone else or if they decide to challenge him again someday.

“Divide and Conquer”
Season 10, Episode 8 First US Airdate: November 2, 1996
Lord Dregg absorbs the powers of a group of alien warriors as he prepares for a final encounter with the Turtles.
After ten seasons, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reaches its final episode, “Divide and Conquer”. Jeffrey Scott is credited as writer for this milestone adventure.
The Turtles battle a plasma blaster-wielding alien near an airport, who has one eye on a stopwatch the entire time. Michaelangelo takes out the bad guy by piloting an old airplane; when Leonardo confronts this mysterious attacker and demands to know his intentions, he snatches the team leader’s belt and teleports away. Talking amongst themselves, the Turtles note that this is the sixth time in the space of a week that a foe has appeared out of nowhere and then vanished again, with Michaelangelo’s grappling hook getting nabbed in one of the previous encounters.
We go from an airport to a spaceport/cantina, where it’s revealed that Lord Dregg survived the destruction of the Dreggnaught in the previous episode and is challenging assorted alien lowlifes to defeat the Turtles within 90 seconds, promising power and wealth to whoever can pull it off. Back on Earth, the Turtles head home in their van, still trying to figure out the story behind the assorted bad guys who’ve been popping up lately. Michaelangelo discovers a tracking device which had been placed within his shell, and hurls it out the window, but it’s too late to stop their next challenger from materialising in the back of the vehicle: a blue-skinned, four-armed woman who shape-shifts into a rhino-like alien as the Turtle Van is sent flying off a cliff. The vehicle lands safely thanks to an in-built parachute, but not before the invader snatches Donatello’s bo staff, disappearing seconds later. Confused as to why their opponent would flee when she had the upper hand, the Turtles note that the tracking device resembled Dregg’s microbots. Back at the spaceport, Dregg selects five aliens, including the two who most recently clashed with the Turtles, to participate in his next scheme.
Still trying to figure out what’s going on, the Turtles reach April to ask if she’s heard of any unusual alien activity recently. We’ve touched upon our ace reporter’s apparent Internet addiction throughout this season already, but I think it’s also worth noting how odd it is that she sits in her home at night, working in her office, and wears her new jacket the entire time when she isn’t going anywhere; I guess it’s too late in the day to justify the creation of an alternate indoor attire for her now. Back in the Lair, Donatello tracks the transporter energy from which the assorted aliens have been appearing back to the black hole Dregg had been sent into. Convinced that they’ve overheard an intruder nearby, the Turtles sneak out of the workshop only for Leonardo to almost end up thumping Splinter – somehow, they managed to forget that he lives in the Lair, too. The team are encouraged by their sensei to join him in meditation to calm their nerves.
Mung oversees the breeding of new swarms of microbots when Lord Dregg arrives, demanding a cannister of the robots to use in his Scheme of the Day. The underling points out that they’ll require all the microbots for the creation of their invasion force, and is sort of half-assedly knocked to the ground for what Dregg views as insubordination. Dregg launches into a tirade about how he doesn’t care about timetables and had nearly defeated the Turtles when he “had the power of Shredder and Krang”. (There’s a little bit of revisionist history going on there on Dregg’s part, as of the two of them he only managed to absorb Krang's abilities.) Now obsessed with gaining revenge against the Turtles above even his desires for galactic domination, Dregg declares he needs “something special” to finish off his enemies once and for all. When Mung points out in the politest and most conciliatory way possible that this is misguided, Dregg unleashes his laser eye beams to punish his flunky, missing him and instead hitting a tank full of microbots. Scooping up a handful of the tiny robots, Dregg places them in a cannister and makes his exit. For the first time, Mung is clearly furious, yelling at his departing master that he’s “gone mad”. Teleporting aboard the Dreggnaught – which was seemingly destroyed for a second time at the end of the last episode, so presumably this is the third version of the ship – Dregg sets the microbots to work, enacting the next stage of his plan.
In the Lair, Splinter oversees a training session for the Turtles, during which it’s revealed he’s taught them a new move in which they leap onto the back of their enemy, restraining them from behind. The team are told that if they perform the Flying Claw well, they won’t need to learn any further attacks. Back on his ship, Dregg watches as the microbots complete the creation of the morphogenesis exoskeleton, a suit which he dons before using it to absorb the five alien warriors he recruited. Ready for his final battle with the Turtles, Dregg prepares to teleport to Earth.
It doesn’t take long for the Turtles to pick up on the transporter activity. Heading up to the surface, they confront Dregg in a construction site in his new get-up. The team assume their old enemy must have arrived with a group of his underlings, but soon discover he doesn’t need troops now as he uses the exoskeleton to become a giant who towers over them. Dregg announces that the warriors that had been sent to dispose of the Turtles were the most powerful in the galaxy; now, having absorbed them, he’s become an enemy that the green teens will never be able to defeat.
The Turtles work together to turn Dregg’s new abilities against him, wrapping one of his arms – which has transformed into a lengthy chain - around one of the construction site’s girders. This doesn’t work for long as Dregg is simply too powerful, and is able to bring down the entire structure. The Turtles run for cover but again, Dregg has an answer for this, turning himself in an enormous ball and hurtling down the street after them. Dregg uses x-ray vision to pursue our heroes as they escape into the sewers, dropping a robotic arm through the ground and briefly pinning Michaelangelo. The Turtles escape into the lower drains of the sewers, flooding in the area above them as they leave to slow their foe down; a resulting surge of water knocks the warlord into the air.
Returning to the Lair, the Turtles tend to their accumulated injuries. Splinter suggests to the team that “when the hermit crab wants to impress its enemies, it gets a bigger shell”. This gives Donatello an idea, as he rushes to his workshop to bring up the schematics for Krang’s android body on his desktop PC. As you may recall, Krang’s duds had the ability to grow to giant-size, something showcased most memorably in “Shredder & Splintered” but also later in season six’s “Krangenstein Lives”. To get what they need, the Turtles will need to travel to Dimension X and retrieve it from the Technodrome, a risky prospect given that the team had written off the idea of ever using Donatello’s dimensional portal again at the conclusion of the previous episode.
April’s Internet addiction leads to her having a hallucinatory episode, as she sees the vision of Lord Dregg’s face appear on her monitor. Okay, that’s not technically true: this is the real Dregg, who emerges from the screen to take shape in her apartment in his new super-sized form. The villain sends a transmission to the Turtles over their communications systems, threatening to send the captive April to “the labour mines of Dimension X” if they don’t show up to rescue her. The Turtles opt to split up, with Leonardo and Raphael setting out to save April while Donatello and Michaelangelo head through the portal.
In a nice touch, the old Technodrome theme music returns as Donnie and Mikey approach the now dilapidated fortress. The Turtles make their way inside, unaware that they’re being watched. Back on Earth, Raph and Leo free April but are manhandled by Dregg, who threatens to finish them off with his integrated weaponry as we head into commercials.
Okay, here we go – the concluding act of the last ever episode!
Dregg gives the captive Turtles the choice of being killed by a liquid nitrogen ray or his carbine shredder, and while there’s perhaps something fitting about idea of the Turtles meeting their maker in the last episode at the hands of a shredder, that’s not how things play out. Instead, Leo and Raph use their surroundings to their advantage, dropping furniture onto Dregg and sending him crashing through the floor, marking yet another time that the Turtles have inadvertently destroyed April’s home and demonstrated zero remorse. Our heroes leave with April in the van, but Dregg remains undeterred. He bursts out the side of the building and – I shit you not – becomes MOTORCYCLE DREGG, popping a wheelie before speeding off to pursue the Turtles as I stop what I’m doing to try and contain my laughter one final time.
In the Technodrome, Donatello and Michaelangelo uncover Krang’s android body, but there’s definitely something off about it: for one thing, since when did it have fangs? Before the duo can retrieve it, the alien brain’s old suit reveals itself to be a shapeshifting creature that springs to life, opening its mouth to expose a forked tongue and going on the attack. From the sidelines emerge a group of creepy cyborg-like beings who the two Turtles fight off before finding the real android body under a pile of scrap metal.
Motorcycle Dregg chases the Turtle Van into a scrapyard, where it soon becomes trapped in a crane by the villain and is set to be dropped into a trash compactor. Meanwhile Donnie and Mikey opt to use the Technodrome’s portal to return to New York rather than their own, but struggle to get the failing systems in the fortress operational while also fighting off the assorted enemies now hanging around the place. Mikey’s last “cowabunga” begins as he leaps into the portal with Donnie, and ends as he emerges in the scrapyard on the other side.
Leonardo, Raphael and April face the prospect of being squished by Dregg in the trash compactor when the now giant-sized android body appears on the horizon, piloted by Donatello and Michaelangelo in Krang’s place. Dregg uses his assorted powers to attack the android, leading Mikey to suggest they increase its size even further, but Donnie explains the bigger it becomes, the more rapidly it’ll collapse: as it is, they only have about one minute before Krang’s old suit shrinks to the size of a ping-pong ball and explodes, with the two Turtles inside it.
Leonardo and Raphael use the roof-mounted blasters on the Turtle Van to fire upon Dregg, but he rebounds by again assuming his ball form, knocking down Krang’s body like a bowling pin. Changing shape again he takes on the form of a tentacled creature, resembling one of the five warriors he recruited earlier. With only seconds remaining, Michaelangelo suggests they do “THE MOVE, dude”. Taking the controls, Donatello has Krang’s android body perform the Flying Claw, capturing Dregg from behind. Mikey and Donnie escape and push Dregg through the portal along with the android body seconds before it's due to explode.
All of this brings us to the very last scene of the series. In the Lair, Splinter tells the Turtles that they are “truly exceptional students... and [he is] proud to be [their] equal”. This confuses Michaelangelo, who’s used to referring to Splinter as their sensei, but he explains that this would make him their leader or guide, something they no longer need: “like the lion,” he tells them, “You have no superior in the jungle of life”. Leonardo agrees that the Turtles can take on any challenge when a noise is heard from nearby. Rushing into the kitchen, the team find a bag of popcorn overflowing in the microwave: Raphael gets the last line of the series, remarking that the one thing they can’t handle is Donatello’s cooking.
And so, this is how is how Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ends, not giving us any substantive sense of closure but simply puttering over the finish line. That last scene, all 35 seconds of it, is the closest thing we get to a goodbye after all these years, a hurried acknowledgement that the Turtles are now equal to Splinter that honestly doesn’t feel earned: we just had a bunch of episodes in a row where the team were staring death in the face and the planet was in danger, today’s adventure feeling restrained by comparison. After pulling apart the adventures of the Turtles for a few years now, I went into this one expecting to feel... I don’t know, something, anything, but there’s almost nothing emotionally resonant in “Divide and Conquer”. I’m honestly disappointed.
Why did TMNT end in such an anti-climactic fashion? I’d speculate that, much like the conclusion of season seven, there was a desire to not fully close the door. Turtles as a property at least still had name recognition at this point, and perhaps Fred Wolf’s camp felt there remained a chance that a rival network would pick up the show for a few more seasons on that basis. It’s entirely feasible that an eleventh season would have seen either Dregg or Shredder and Krang return, but given how troubled the last few years of the show have been creatively, I’m not surprised this didn’t come to pass.
The first Turtlethon entry opened with an acknowledgement that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles debuted on TV only weeks after the series finale of Transformers, and this could be considered a passing of the torch: TMNT was, in many ways, the last great series of the 1980s “half hour toy commercial” era. As we close things out in the autumn of 1996, the Transformers have finally made a successful return to western animation with Beast Wars, which should give you some sense of how much the world has changed in the time between the premieres of “Turtle Tracks” and “Divide and Conquer”: that kind of half-hour computer generated animated show would have been unthinkable in the mid-eighties when Turtles was green-lit, but will come to dominate kid TV schedules as the millennium approaches. Which brings us nicely to...
AFTERMATH
Let’s do a lightning round covering how the various parties involved in the creation of TMNT fared after the show went off the air:
CBS pivoted to showing nothing but educational programming on Saturday mornings beginning with the 1997/98 television season. This came about as the result of strengthened regulation requiring that broadcasters air a set number of hours of informative fare each week, but also followed on from the budget cuts for programming mentioned in previous entries, and increased competition from cable channels such as Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. A few years later the network would be absorbed into Viacom, Nick’s parent company; Nickelodeon would go on to purchase Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as an IP from Mirage Studios at the end of 2009.
Fred Wolf Films, the successor to Murakami Wolf Swenson, would putter on for a few years after the loss of their meal ticket. In a newspaper article from the boom years of TMNT, Fred Wolf suggested that the studio wasn’t making any money from the success of the series at the time due to the huge financial outlay required to make as many episodes as they did, and that it wouldn’t be until the show had ceased production and began playing in reruns worldwide that they would begin to see a return on their investment. It doesn’t seem like things played out this way, the firm moving on to work on a few Zorro and Sinbad cartoons as the nineties closed out; their website, last updated in 2000, is somehow still online and suggests they were looking to move into web animation around that period, but as far as I can tell nothing ever came of it.
Playmates Toys had financed the initial effort to bring the Turtles to television and would keep the brand afloat at retail throughout 1997, in part by re-releasing older toys in new packaging. They would go on handle the figures for the next incarnation of Turtles a short time later, and in fact continue to hold the master toy license to this day, a line of figures based on the recent Mutant Mayhem movie currently running in parallel with (often shoddy) recreations of toys from the classic era.
Mirage Studios perhaps had the most to lose with the continuing decline of TMNT and the end of the original cartoon. To ensure the survival of the property and that they could continue to employ their roster of artists, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird made the decision to do business with Saban Entertainment, the production company behind Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers; this was the same series which, as covered in previous Turtlethon entries, had been a key factor in TMNT’s rapid decline in the kidvid marketplace to begin with. The Mirage/Saban alliance would lead to the creation of the live-action Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation, a disastrous series which would not only damage public perception of the Turtles further but also create a rift between Eastman and Laird which has only in recent years been patched up.
The four original voice actors for the Turtles are still active in the industry, and occasionally reunite on the convention circuit, often alongside Renae Jacobs (April). Barry Gordon, Rob Paulsen, Cam Clarke and Townsend Coleman reprised their roles as the green teens for the 2022 video game Shredder's Revenge. Between these stints Paulsen returned to Turtles for the 2012 incarnation of the show on Nickelodeon, this time as the voice of Donatello. James Avery (Shredder) passed away in 2013 following complications from open-heart surgery. David Wise is also no longer with us, having lost a brief battle with lung cancer in 2020, but both live on through their respective remarkable bodies of work, including their extensive runs on TMNT.
As I’m sure you know, Turtles continues to endure, not just in its 1987 incarnation but the countless versions which have popped up in the years since. Recently Viacom announced that they’ve finally reached an agreement to secure the broadcast rights to the original series: the first season is already up on YouTube for free (albeit in an altered form, and with a new theme song in place as presumably Chuck Lorre’s asking price for royalties was simply too high); the show is also in rotation now on Pluto TV’s Totally Turtles channel in the US and will be arriving on Paramount+ in short order. Personally I’m still hoping we get a nice Blu-Ray set of the series down the line at some point with the entire series in better quality than the occasionally substandard Lionsgate DVD prints.
So... now what? Next time on Turtlethon we’ll wrap up all the loose ends, reflect on the last few years of exploring TMNT and try to figure out what the point of all this was – as well as where we go from here. See you then!

The Sad Smile, Part Two
[Jeff felt like he was falling down a hole, like if he had jumped out of an airplane and forgot to bring a parachute. He could feel the cold air surrounding him as he fell, then as if on que, he hit the ground hard. He groaned as he got up, feeling as if every bone in his body was broken. As he looked up, he saw a pair of long legs, and not the sexy kind, no no, no, they were the long legs that could only belong to a monster. They belonged to this faceless yet dapper dressed creature, with a long trenchcoat that look more like a cape or cloak. The creature titled his head back and grabbed Jeff by the shoulders and began shaking him all the while a loud, horrible sounding static noise rang out. It sounded like a thousand souls screaming at once. Eventually, Jeff woke up with Liu over him.]
Liu: Jeff, you okay? Jeff?
[Jeff groaned and got up. He was on the floor, and he felt this horrible pain at the back of his head.]
Liu: Dude, you fell and hit your head on the nightstand while you were rolling around in bed. Are you alright?
Jeff: I did? Oh, shit. I'm fine, just...I'm fine. Just go back to bed.
Liu: ...Okay then.
[Jeff and Liu went back to bed, and Jeff made sure to stay in the middle of the bed. He didn't want to go back to that realm again or break open his head.]
[The next morning, the Pattinson family was up. The sun was up with them as they made the beds and checked out of the motel. Everyone got back into Bobby's car and resumed their drive to California, along the trip, Liu turned to Jeff.]
Liu: Hey Jeff?
Jeff: Mhm?
Liu: You doing alright?
Jeff: I'm fine.
Liu: You sure? I mean last night...well, you know.
Jeff: I'm fine, I just rolled off the bed.
Liu: And bonked your head on the nightstand.
Jeff: Dude, I'm fine.
Liu: Alright, man.
[Jeff turned to face out the window. It was the same damn thing he'd seen for the past 5 hours, grass, dirt, sand, and shit. Jeff turned to his journal, took out a pen, and began writing and doodling in it just to past the time. He drew monsters, one-eyed creatures, snakes with battle axes for heads, sexy demon women, and you get the picture. Edgy shit. He then began properly writing into his journal. "Today sucks. Everything about this day just sucks. Why did we have to move to California of all places? Our neighborhood was cheap enough to stay in, the rent wasn't that bad, and it was easy enough to get around. I bet it has something to do with mom getting promoted or something like that. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for her. It just sucks ass that we have to move all the way to crappy California." Day eventually became night, 10 o clock to be exact, and lo and behold, they finally arrived at the new house. It was your typical average modern American suburban house with a green lawn, picket white fence, beautiful blue color scheme, and beautiful garden. Complete with a shitty driveway connecting to an indoor garage. But Bobby didn't pull into the driveway, which caught Elizabeth's attention.]
Elizabeth: Dear, we just passed the house.
Bobby: I know, but I'm sure the kids are hungry. Let's stop at a pizza place before we bunker down for the night.
[So, the Pattinson then drove to a nearby pizza place. The pizza place in question was a horror themed pizza place called "Killer Pizza" in red bloody lettering. Classy. The family got out of the car and went inside. It was a nice change of scenery compared to the nothingness of driving across the lands of California. They got a booth in the back, but Jeff didn't sit down just yet.]
Jeff: I'll be right back, I gotta go use the bathroom real quick.
Bobby: Alright, bud, just be careful.
[Jeff walked into the men's bathroom. It was a surprisingly small men's restroom, just three toilet stalls and two urinals. Were they clean? Probably not! Jeff walked over to a urinal and did his business. He washed his hands and walked out of the men's bathroom. But as he was about to make his way back to the booth, he bumped into a worker, both he and the worker fell to the ground.]
Jeff: Ah! Shit, I'm sorry.
Woman Worker: I'm so sorry, are you alright?
[As soon as Jeff looked up, she saw her. Probably the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen in his life, long black hair, beautiful emerald greens eyes, soft lips, gothic makeup, pale white skin, perfect slim yet curvy body, she was perfect to Jeff. Her nametag read "Jane." He then immediately got up and held his hand out to help the chick up. She looked up and took his hand, Jeff lifted her up. It was a cute, if awkward moment between the two.]
Jeff: I'm alright, are you okay?
Jane: Yeah, I'm okay. I'm so sorry, I didn't see you coming.
Jeff: Oh no, no, it's alright, I just didn't see you there. My bad.
[Jeff smiled a little, no doubt freaking the fuck out imternally since, I mean she was a hot goth girl. He then awkwardly made his way back to the booth and just sat down and didn't say anything. The family ordered pizza and ate, and they ended up paying up $13 just for a pizza. What a steal! The family then walked out of the restaurant, got back in the car, and drove to their new home. Bobby unlocked the front door and led everyone inside. The inside was a beautiful white and grayish blue color scheme. The floors were birch wood flooring, the countertops in the kitchen were stainless white marble, the tables were professional made wood, and it was all perfect. There was a basement, an upstairs, outside was a beautiful backyard, and what every American family could have expected to see for the inside of a suburban house. Jeff headed upstairs and went into the room to the right. He called dibs on it. He saw that a bed was there, everything looked clean and untouched. He didn't care. He just fell into his bed and fell asleep, finally done with the long ass journey from Brooklyn to California.]

Must-Have Drone Accessories for Every Aerial Enthusiast
Drones have become an essential tool for photographers, videographers, hobbyists, and even professionals in various industries. Whether you're capturing breathtaking aerial shots, exploring remote landscapes, or simply flying for fun, your drone’s performance and capabilities can be greatly enhanced with the right accessories. In this blog post, we'll explore some of the best drone accessories that can take your flying experience to new heights!
1. Extra Batteries: Keep Flying Longer
One of the most common limitations of drones is battery life. While some high-end models boast impressive flight times, it’s always a good idea to have spare batteries on hand. Having an extra battery or two can make the difference between a short flight and a day of aerial exploration. Look for batteries that are compatible with your specific drone model, and be sure to invest in a quality charger to keep them topped up.
2. ND Filters: Perfect Your Aerial Photography
Neutral Density (ND) filters are a game-changer for drone photography. These filters reduce the amount of light entering the camera, allowing you to capture smoother, more cinematic shots in bright conditions. Whether you're shooting video or stills, ND filters can help you control exposure and create stunning, professional-quality images. They’re particularly useful for shooting in daylight, where you might otherwise end up with overexposed or blurry footage.
3. Propeller Guards: Safety First
Propeller guards are essential if you’re flying in environments where there’s a risk of hitting objects, such as indoors or in tight spaces. These lightweight, protective cages surround the drone’s propellers, minimizing the risk of damage to the blades and reducing the potential for accidents. If you’re a beginner or flying in a crowded space, propeller guards provide an added layer of safety.
4. Drone Carrying Case: Travel in Style
Transporting your drone safely is important, especially if you plan to travel with it. A high-quality carrying case not only keeps your drone secure during travel but also helps you organize your accessories like extra batteries, SD cards, and remote controllers. Look for cases with customizable foam inserts to keep each component safe and snug.
5. Landing Gear Extensions: Protect Your Drone
Landing gear extensions raise your drone off the ground, offering additional protection to its camera and gimbal. This accessory is especially useful when flying on uneven terrain, grass, or other surfaces that may risk damaging the drone. They also help prevent dirt and debris from interfering with the drone’s sensors or camera lenses when landing.
6. Micro SD Cards: More Storage for Your Aerial Footage
If you’re into shooting high-definition video or taking burst photos, you’ll need a microSD card with ample storage capacity and fast write speeds. A high-quality SD card ensures that your drone can capture uninterrupted footage without any lag or file corruption. Make sure you choose a card that’s rated for the type of video resolution you plan to shoot (e.g., 4K footage requires a Class 10 or UHS-I/UHS-II card).
7. Remote Controller Tablet Mount: Easy Navigation
For drone pilots who prefer using a tablet over a small smartphone screen, a tablet mount for your remote controller is a must-have. These mounts allow you to attach your tablet securely to your controller, giving you a larger display for better visibility of the drone’s camera feed and real-time data. They’re especially handy when flying in complex environments or when you need to fine-tune your shots.
8. Drone Parachute: Added Safety for High Altitudes
While drones are generally reliable, it's always a good idea to be prepared for emergencies. A drone parachute system deploys automatically in the event of a critical failure (e.g., motor malfunction or battery depletion), allowing the drone to descend slowly and safely. This can help prevent costly crashes, especially when flying at high altitudes or in crowded areas.
9. Sunshade: Fly in Any Lighting Condition
Shooting with a drone in bright sunlight can sometimes result in glare, making it difficult to see your screen and navigate the drone effectively. A sunshade for your remote controller can solve this problem, providing a clear view of the display even in direct sunlight. This small yet effective accessory helps reduce glare, allowing for better control and a more enjoyable flying experience.
10. Custom Skins & Stickers: Personalize Your Drone
While functionality is key, personalizing your drone with custom skins or stickers adds a fun and unique touch. Custom wraps not only give your drone a one-of-a-kind look, but they also serve as an additional layer of protection against scratches and wear.
Elevate Your Drone Experience
Drones are fantastic tools, but with the right accessories, they can be even more powerful and versatile. Whether you’re looking to enhance your flight time, improve your photos, or ensure the safety of your gear, these drone accessories will help you get the most out of your aerial adventures. So, gear up, fly smart, and take your drone experience to the next level!
Final Thoughts
As drone technology continues to advance, the range of accessories available is expanding rapidly. Whether you're a casual flyer or a professional, there are drone accessories to suit your needs and budget. By investing in the right gear, you can ensure that every flight is smooth, safe, and fun. What’s your favorite drone accessory?

20 Preschool Activities and Play for Children.
Preschool activities, Games and Learning are fun!
Hello, parents and caregivers! Are you seeking fun methods to keep your energetic preschooler engaged, laughing, and learning at the same time? Well, you are in luck! We've compiled a list of 20 very fascinating preschool activities that will pique your child's interest and allow them to explore their surroundings through play.
What is the best part? These preschool games are simple to put up, use only household items, and may be played both indoors and outdoors. So prepare to be silly, creative, and possibly a little messy (don't worry, we have cleaning techniques too!). Let's get into these fun preschool learning activities and educational games for preschoolers:
1. Musical Freeze Dance Party
Put on some fun tunes and let your little one boogie for their preschool activities! When the music stops, say "Freeze!" Speak. And ask your dancer to maintain their pose. Whenever the music starts again, it's time to put away those idiots! This educational game for preschoolers is great for developing listening skills and clearing up those confusions.
2. Color Finder Hunt
Pick a color and go on a hunt around your house or yard and challenge your child to find as many objects as possible in that particular color. You can make it competitive by keeping score or adding variety by changing colors. This educational game for preschoolers is an easy way to learn colors and get moving!
3. Shape Recognition
Take some chalk or masking tape and draw different shapes on the ground outside (or even on the floor inside if it's raining). Call out any shapes and ask your child to push, jump or jump over those shapes. This is a fun way to get active while reinforcing shape recognition.
4. Snack Necklace
Let your child make their own trendy (and delicious!) ornaments by stringing O-shaped cereal or other circular food items onto a piece of yarn or string. They'll develop fine motor skills while also making a lovely snack. Just be sure to monitor the necklace pieces for safety and keep them short.
5. Recycled Tool Band
Save toilet paper rolls, empty boxes, pots and pans – anything that you can shake, tap or bang to create musical magic. Let your child decorate their "instruments" as they wish, then have a little concert! It's loud, creative fun.
6. Laundry Basket Basketball
Place balled-up socks at different distances into an empty laundry basket. Keep score, try silly stances, and make it a silly game to work on aiming and motor skills. You can even decorate the basket to create your own special hoop!
7. Cotton Ball Bowling
Place some empty bottles or containers on the floor and let your child roll them or knock them over by gently throwing cotton balls at them. You can even count how many pins they get each round to work on the numbers!
8. Dance Freeze
Similar to freeze dancing, but without the music! Say different dance moves like "Wiggle like a bug!" or "Fly like a butterfly!" And let your little dancer dance. When you say "Freeze!" It is said that whatever stupid posture they are in, they have to stay there.
9. Parachute Play
Use an old bedsheet as a "parachute" and ask your child to run under it while you go up and down. then swap roles! You can toss light balls or plush toys up and bounce them around by shaking the parachute.
Also Check: Preschool Extracurricular Activities
10. Indoor Obstacle Course
Get creative by using tunnels made of couch cushions, step stools, hula hoops, boxes – anything you can find in your living room to create a fun obstacle course to crawl down, jump and straight across!
11. Car wash for toys
Fill a small tub or sink with soapy water and let your child "wash" their toy cars, dolls, or plastic animal figures! This is a great sensory activity that also works on fine motor skills. Just make sure to set up a drying station with towels when you're done.
12. Paper Plane Pilot
Fold some fun paper airplanes and let your child practice throwing and flying them around the house or yard. See whose plane can fly the farthest or straightest. You can even decorate and name your planes first!
13. Homemade Pizzeria
Keep some dough on hand and use it to make fake pizza! Your child can roll out the "dough", add toppings by poking holes with a pencil or straw, then when their design is complete you can "bake" and "cut" their creation.
14. Bubble Blowing
Bubbles are a blast for kids of all ages! Mix up some homemade bubble solution using dish soap and water, then let your child blow bubbles with a stick or even just a straw. See if they can blow giant bubbles or catch them before they burst! You can also add a few drops of food coloring to create colorful bubble fun.
15. Simon Says
Help your child practice listening skills with this classic game. You'll be Simon, "Simon says clap!" As if giving orders. or "Simon says to jump on one leg!" Hunt? Your child should only follow commands that begin with "Simon says." If you give instructions without saying those magic words, they shouldn't do it! Take turns being Simon to keep them on their toes.
16. Treasure Hunt
Treasure hunts are an exciting way to get your child moving and learning. Hide some small objects or toys around the house, then give your child a simple treasure map with X's marking the hiding spots. Or make it even more interactive by giving them clues to follow to each location instead of a map. You can even follow some counting or coloring instructions along the way!
17. Puppet Show
Let your child's imagination run wild by putting on a puppet show! You can make easy puppets out of paper bags, socks, or even decorate some cardboard boxes. Then put on a big performance, make up stories or act out your child's favorite books. It also helps to develop social skills like taking turns if you each have a puppet.
18. Building Block Towers
Simple wooden blocks, Lego, or any type of building bricks can keep kids entertained for hours. Challenge your child to build a tower as tall as possible, or work together to build anything from houses to spaceships and pretend zoos. You can also try making something more complex by following the step-by-step instructions to practice the following steps.
19. Flour
Get creative with homemade or store-bought flour! Let your child roll out long snakes of different colored dough, then decorate them with buttons, dried pasta, or anything fun you have around. Once their "parade floats" are ready, line them up and let the parade begin! Small toys and plushies can also join the march as you make up stories and sing songs along.
20. Sidewalk Scribble Awesome
On a nice day, take art and learning outside with sidewalk chalk! Let your little one draw pictures, write their name, leave fun messages, or turn the street into their own hopscotch court. To practice recognition you can also ask them to trace the letters, numbers, shapes, or any other educational element that you write about first.
The joy of educational games for preschoolers is endless!
These preschool activity ideas are only the beginning; there are countless preschool activities and alternatives! The most essential thing is to let your child's natural curiosity guide the way, to be creative with everyday household goods, and to spend every minute of quality time together.
Don't forget that certain preschool activities might be dirty, so dress for fun and lay down an old sheet or towel if you're playing indoors. Supervise any small pieces or items, and feel free to modify activities based on your child's age and ability. Most importantly, relax and enjoy seeing your child's smile as they explore, imagine, and make amazing memories through playful learning!
So, what are you waiting for? It's time to be silly, creative, and develop a rewarding relationship with your preschooler through these thrilling play experiences!
