OOF i think this has been pointed out already BUT that scene between Dean and Cas in 4x22 when Dean's tryna convince Cas to rebel and AND

Cas: In paradise all will be forgiven, you'll be at peace, even with Sam

Dean: You can take your peace and shove it up your lily white ass, cause i'll take the pain and the guilt, I'll even take Sam as is, it's a lot better than being some stepford bitch in paradise

I just don't understand how this, the original end of this show, was always about how shitty it would be to just give in and be at peace in heaven

And lo and behold, this is the exact ending they decide to go with, a decade later, after all that character developmemt of coming to terms with free will??!!??

Sure heaven is a lot better now and its actual peace and not just memories, BUT WHAT THE FUCK

Where's this Dean?? That wanted so desperatley to live, that wanted his family alive, that taught Cas how to rebel against a bad ending??????!?
