i'm dying for the part 2 of the essential max verstappen races i've watched all the first 10 (teenage crime era) and now i need the rest!!
✨💘 part 1 💘✨💎🧨🌠part 3🗽🎯
Brazil, 2019 In part 1 I said Max always stunted in the US, but like both Americas have a crush on him. People like to yap about his 'luck' and how 'lucky' he is. Max bends luck to his favor with a crowbar if he has to and this race proves that. also shout out to Hannah she’s BEEN the best CS in F1 fr 🌻
Austria, 2019 yes honey, that Austria, 2019. First Honda powered win for red bull and it came on the back of a cracked out prancing horse. Lestappen had angry sex in front of 200000 orange shirts and we just let them
70th year anniversary GP, 2020 Set the scene: for 2020 mercedes has put thee most competent driver of all time behind the wheel of a Boeing 707. They say it's a car but its an airplane ok. So every race is basically like 2 hour long british orgasm ASMR. This one tho, this should've been the beans and toast equivalent to Beyoncé at the superbowl. This should've been their Homecoming. They got 2 races in the calendar for the 1st time, it's F1's birthday, Lewis is driving a commercial airplane, it's happening during peak covid because their prime minister is insane, period. They had it all. Except, it was kinda warm out. And Max Verstappen noticed. Whole british empire vs one man's inability to not be the moment. Guess who won
Emilia Romagna, 2021 emilianos first victory of his maiden title year , and a race I remember watching and thinking. oh okay. so it’s time. With Max, even as a baby fan of both him and Lewis, I was always kinda like, waiting for the dog fight. And finally, lil bro has the car. Everything else was already in place. If u do watch my dumb list in order, which I recommend u do, u can actually c him get ready for 2021 over the years. His starts, and especially this one, become flawless, he has somehow learned how to manage his tires and dominate races in lesser machinery ((we dont talk about it enough. max has won races every single season he's driven in f1. every rbr car he's ever had, he got it home. that's a shooting star fr. thats a once in a lifetime.)) , he's patient, and still uncompromising, still unflinching. He's ready. We were not tho lmfaooo
Zandvoort, 2021 baby boys first home gp win. a lovely lil watch to feel warm and fuzzy inside and also just like watch him be the best driver on the grid at home
Russia, 2021 p20 to p2. Max in the rain, u already know wtf is going ONNN. A race for the GP girlies. SOOO so dope to watch a driver and an engineer orchestrate a comeback of that level in real time. A true privilege and I mean it wholeheartedly. I think GP and Max are soulmates like professionally. Also literally the funniest thing in the world when they're pulling into their lil positions after the race and my fav old man Lewis does a double take like that better not be who I think it is 😭
USA, 2021 listennn. it's 2021. I can't mention Max without mentioning Lewis. They took each other to realms of racing that F1 didnt even remember existed. When I tell u these bitches were 40 seconds ahead of everybody else. 40 seconds. In 2021. But yuh, the blond one set a purple sector with like 100 lap old tires to defend that win. 2021 was just very kind to the Circuit. Sexy sexy race
Jeddah, 2021 well if he's just some guy why does his pussy pop so severely. 😐 No F1 driver will ever serve cunt the way Max served cunt in Jeddah. Driver of the day for no reason other than pure fucking headassery. They said u can't move the culture by losing and that white man said hold on. That quali lap almost put a child in me. I am so sorry
((lil bonus from Zandvoort, 2022 like shut up imagine doing this to lewis hamiltondfmsnfksdlkjf))
youtube
Japan, 2022 2nd title win. And fittingly so, he would've lapped the whole field if the race had been completed in its full distance. 1 second faster than everybody else, still improving at the end. But its his recovery at the start that I wanna highlight here. On a wet track, awful conditions, mf sent it outside of t1 around sharl, not because he had to, not because his championship was on the line, but because he could. He went for it, no hesitation. Nobody else would go for a move like that. First, because they wouldnt be able to do it. Its an overtake that requires a control of the car that is left to the Hamiltons and Verstappens of this world. U put a wheel wrong and you’re done. Second, it just wasnt worth it. Rb was a rocket anyway, he would've gotten the lead back eventually. But that is not who Max is. Max refused to give up the lead for even a second. It has nothing to do with having a dominant car, its about racing. Max will always, always go racing. And I love him for it.
ty for reading 💝 I hope that u can return to these races again and again and find joy in watching our fav public enemy number one do his thing. He’s very good at it
#ask#✨🌻💝💘 FINALLYYY ik 😭#bro I've been so swamped with school work yall have no idea#verstappie rewatch#max verstappen#red bull racing#f1

I decided I am going to rewrite that response Tumblr shredded after all. So the original post was from a Vettel fan who called out HAM and LEC fans for being so upset about the DSQs when there had been plenty of drivers in the past getting disqualified.
First of all, it has been a while since someone was disqualified. And it was actually Sebastian Vettel at the 2021 Hungarian GP for not having a sufficient fuel sample after the race. I'm pretty sure people were upset then too, as it cost him his podium.
As for plenty of drivers, there have been a total of 93 (out of 775) drivers who have been disqualified over the years. Of the current grid 7 drivers now have a DSQ:
Daniel Ricciardo (2014 Australia - fuel mass flow too high; 2019 Japan - brakes infringement)
Lewis Hamilton (2009 Australia - misleading stewards; 2023 USA - rear skid below minimum)
Sergio Perez (2011 Australia - illegal wing)
Esteban Ocon (2018 USA - fuel mass flow too high)
Kevin Magnussen (2018 USA - fuel consumption too high)
Nico Hulkenberg (2019 Japan - brakes infringement)
Charles Leclerc (2023 USA - rear skid below minimum)
Source: Stats F1
But the rear skid being below minimum has only ever led to one other DSQ: Michael Schumacher at the 1994 Belgium GP. Something by the way, I was already thinking of a few weeks ago when I was making my "predictions" for this weekend:
In case you don't recall or heard about it: the Red Bull drivers were thought to be lifting through Eau Rouge to avoid too much plank wear, after they set up the cars for wet weather, and the race ended up being in dry weather. Brrrake did an in-depth video analysis on this at the time:
youtube
Interesting unrelated tidbit: Martin Brundle has 8 DSQs. Looks like this mostly stems from his team Tyrrell getting disqualified, because all but one are from 1984. In fact, the top 3 drivers on this list have a combined 23 DSQs, with 21 of them from 1984 when they were driving for Tyrrell.

Sarah Dunn, 31 (UK 2020)
Sarah Louise Dunn was 31 years old and already raising 5 children in a pandemic. She decided to get an abortion when she discovered she was pregnant with her 6th child, but she had no idea that she would die along with her baby.
The abortion industry advertises abortion as “safe healthcare”, but the opposite is true. After being given the chemical abortion pill, Sarah began to experience alarming symptoms such as excessive bleeding, abdominal pain, severe leg pain and severe leg pain. She tried to seek medical attention, but her symptoms were dismissed and the warning signs of rapidly advancing sepsis were overlooked.
Days later, Sarah called an ambulance for herself and was rushed to Blackpool Victoria Hospital. She had severe blood poisoning from her sepsis and her organs were already failing. Shortly after, she had a seizure and was transferred to the ICU, where her condition was found to be unsurvivable. Her five surviving children were brought to her bedside to say goodbye as she died of Toxic Shock Syndrome.
Louise Rae, Assistant Coroner for Blackpool & Fylde, reviewed Sarah’s case and wrote to the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) warning of the need for greater training on sepsis risk. Her report has been sent to Maria Caulfield MP, DHSC Parliamentary Under Secretary, and notes that symptoms were missed by a GP, who apparently hadn’t noticed the recent abortion in Sarah’s patient records.
Sarah’s case is not an isolated incident. Even when used legally, the abortion pill has killed many others in a strikingly similar way, including but not limited to 18-year-old Holly Patterson, 18-year-old Manon Jones, Chanelle Bryant, Anita Koli, Ashwini Thavai, Oriane Shevin, Hoa Thuy “Vivian” Tran, Maria Del Valle González López and many known only under pseudonyms, including: “Summer” (Canada 2022), “Corrie” (USA 2021–2022), “Carmen” (USA 2008), “Jane of Canada” (2001), “Marcie” (Australia 2010), “Belle” (USA 2009), “Ella” (USA 2009-2010), “Wanda” (USA 2006), “Olivia” (UK 2010), “Janet” (UK 2020), “Crystal” (Canada 2003), “Jess” (UK 2004-2005) and “Janice” (UK 2004-2005).

Ok so firstly.. it’s so sweet and humble of them to acknowledge their incredible achievements and insane records they hold, personally I’m sure it means a lot to them but they certainly had and do have the mindset that those medals and records aren’t everything and it’s what they did for each other- the experiences they shared and what they built together that mean the absolute most- this was soooooo much more than a sport to them.
For T to say to S that she believes he’ll be coaching some team that blows all their records out of the water is a huge complement to him and I know she believes he will change this sport for the better, and that coming from her who he sees on just this completely unreachable pedestal, it must be hard for him coz frankly he said no one will be as great as her and he has to remind himself of that when he’s working with teams ‘I can’t expect these girls to be TV’. 🥲
BUT…
For the sake of it.. let’s explore the possibility for a team- from any country to break TS Olympic medal tally record:
Remember: their record is 🥇🥇🥇🥈🥈
That’s over 3 Olympics.
The first one was from Vancouver: 1x🥇.There was no team event at this point.
Next was Sochi: 2x🥈🥈 the first year the team event was held.
And finally Pyeonchang: 2x 🥇🥇. Gold in the team, gold individually.
So to break TS record a team would need to achieve any of the following combinations (once you get into 6+ medals the colour is interchangeable as long as least 3 are gold and at least two are silver).
🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
🥇🥇🥇🥇🥈
🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇
🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥈
🥇🥇🥇🥇🥈🥈
🥇🥇🥇🥈🥈🥈
🥇🥇🥇🥈🥈🥉
So: a team needs to win AT LEAST 3 gold: that could come either individually or in team event. Individually seems the most likely, however with the rate that the sport is changing, over 8 years, and don’t forget ageing/ teams splitting up/ politics/ judging… there’s a chance.. but not a huge one. Really the only team who came close to this was.. drum roll please 🥁 VIRTUEMOIR. The team event scenario is less likely. This requires there to be a STRONG AF national figure skating team across the board- all disciplines averaging essentially top 5 finishes consistently over 8 years.. so if you look at the state of Canadian figure skating right now, heck just look at the 2022 olys.. that country in particular needs to completely rebuild their national team. And frankly, VM’s era really was a golden age across the board in Canadian figure skating.. multiple times world champions in dance, mens and pairs, world medalists in ladies and WC winner at the worlds directly after the Olympics. There haven’t been any world medalist from Canada after the 17/18 season (that I can think of, GP got a bronze in 2021). This team situation goes for the USA as well, but they are in better shape, a lot of ‘great’ skaters retired after either 2018 and 2022, and as a team they are yet to win gold (still don’t know what’s happening with medals from Beijing) and then Russia I’m not gonna bother talking about coz you know.. they’re currently committing war crimes..
These 5+ medals will of course need to come from both success in the team and individual events- because an even more unlikely scenario is an ID team attending 5 Olympics and winning either 5 gold or 4gold and a silver in either event.
So, those are the broadest examples, and really everything after that are just derivatives from those scenarios.
A “possible” instance for eg: is 6 medals across 3 games: 3 gold coming from a combination of the IE and TE, let’s say 2 individual gold and 1 team gold (same as VM), two silvers- one from the team and one individually (same as VM) and lastly either another silver or bronze from another team event..
For the reasons pointed out above.. that is possible.. but a long shot because it depends not only as a single ice dance team’s success, by the strength of the national team as a whole, and again removing Russia from the equation, coz they have always been strong but also.. doping, the Canadian team in 2018 was somewhat of a unicorn, and they just happened to have strong af skaters in every category- all of which medaled individually in 2018 or had medaled previously (Patrick in 2014) (+Gabi who didn’t medal but was still a world medalist). Individually it will require a team to essentially be.. really top 3 in the world over 8+ years, and or mount an iconic comeback.
The most recent ID winners did not compete in the team event at either olys (18/22) and their team won’t ever be a team medal contender (in the near future anyway) so they have no chance of beating VM’s oly medal record.
So with that mostly covered.. let’s move onto some of their other records.
Let’s examine their reign as the youngest ever oly champs:
They were 20+22 when they won in YVR. I do not watch ID religiously so I don’t know every team or exact ages, but everyone currently competing and even attended the previous olys are already past VM’s age record- all the medalists in Beijing were in their mid- late 20’s/early 30’s, and the next crop behind them- the next 10 teams let’s say, were all well into their 20’s, so at the next olys it would have to be a new team, probably currently in juniors. Now I’m even more uneducated on the Junior Circuit, but I believe the majority of those teams, even if they were to rise above the level of seniors now, wouldn’t age wise be able to cut in under VM.
And a note on that as well, the ID landscape has shifted since VM.. they were an anomaly. They shouldn’t have won when they were that young but they did. An odd sequence of events- the change in the judging system and therefore the athleticism of the sport started to favour younger teams, but now that isn’t so much the case and the younger teams have grown up with this new system and are now older, and are just as athletically capable as the younger ones, but also have the maturity to service the artistry side.
So probably at least in the next several Olympics that record seems pretty out of reach.
Winning at a home games:
(This won’t be breaking a record but only being the second to do it).
This really just depends on luck of the draw. The olys are decided 8+ years out so there’s no way a team 10 years away can guarantee a win that far in the future. The Vancouver olys were announced in 2001 and at that time VM were 12+14- hadn’t moved away from home yet, we’re still growing, no injuries, anything could of happened but as we all know it just worked for them (and they worked for it) so the stars just kinda aligned on that one.
Winning an olys before a worlds title:
(Again will be second to do so).
This is probably the most attainable, but really the least significant, esp since VM have already done it, and it can only happen once coz once you win them both you can’t do that again.
Finally let’s look at the Super Career Grand Slam (my personal point of pride for my dancing bbys):
On the surface this seems possible, but when you think about it..
A team has to first win both the JGPF and Junior worlds, this achievement is very possible, but they then have to first; stay together (if teams split it is often between juniors and seniors) now they can achieve the SCGS with separate partners- but to be second after VM they need to stay together. They then need to win either 4CC or Euros, the GPF, World champs AND the Olympics. That last one is understandably the most likely place to fall flat because they only have once chance every 4 years. The olys and the junior titles are the most critical pieces to complete to gain this title. DW couldn’t do it because they didn’t get the junior titles, PC couldn’t do it because they didn’t get the junior titles. It requires a sustained and gaining excellence across both circuits and about 10-15 years of reign at or near the top.
That’s where VM stand out against everyone else.
There are of course numerous other records regarding points which will easily be broken coz the rules get changed every year, and number of national titles- which they don’t even hold, but ALL OF THE ABOVE… it will take a team with sustained, decades long greatness in a single partnership with the right chain of events and strength of the sport as a whole to top them. It’s a subjective sport so of course people will develop new favourites.. but what’s on the record on paper.. well there’s a reason there’s an acronym for it:
GOATs.
I rest my case.
#I woke up Monday morning and chose violence 🔪#the greatest ice dance team the world has ever seen#this is just speaking about ID teams.. but is possibly even hard to achieve for a singles skater

JGP Istanbul ice dance -one of the lighter fields, especially with the Cypriot team injured and not competing:
youtube
Mariia Pinchuk/Mykyta Pogorielov 🇺🇦 UKR (17/20 yo) they skated a split season last year: were 12th at Junior Worlds and 15th at Senior Europeans. Pinchuk and her mother fled to Austria at the start of the war, and she and Pogorielov train there. they both still have family in Ukraine. they have flair, and at their best, nice skating skills, they hit their key points consistently last season. twizzles were a little less reliable. they're skating a Bon Jovi/Joe Cocker RD and Madonna FD
youtube
Yahli Pederson/Jeffrey Chen 🇺🇸USA (16/21 yo) a newly formed team- she was a solo dancer til recently - i didn't realize she's this young. he skated with Katarina Wolfkostin for 4 seasons, winning a US Jr title and getting 2 senior GP assignments last season. So far, Pedersen/Chen have been 5th in Dallas and won the Lake Placid Jr qualifier. their newness can make them unpredictable, but if they can skate relatively clean they have a strong chance of medaling here. They train at MIDA, and their FD is Phantom, and RD is Queen.
dailymotion
Dana Sabatini-Speciale/Nicholas Buelow 🇨🇦CAN (17/16 yo) this team works with Mitch Islam at Mariposa, so they're probably going through it 😢 they had a JGP last season and were 6th at Jr Nats and 2nd at Next Gen this July. their RD is Jack and Diane and a Stevie Ray Vaughn blues, their FD (at 1:02:45 ⬆️) is Il Postino and Josh Groban. Alexandra Paul was one of their choreographers💔
they're a sweet team - their big height difference (6'3 and just under 5') makes matching lines a little more challenging, but they do pretty well, and they have a soft flowing quality
youtube
Ambre Perrier Gianesini/Samuel Blanc Klaperman 🇫🇷 FRA (16/16 yo) They were 5th at JGP Linz this past week. their RD is Pointer Sisters, and their FD is to Berlinist
Giulia Isabella Paolino/Andrea Tuba 🇮🇹 ITA (19/20 yo) were 7th at JGP Bangkok
Gina Zehnder/Beda Leon Sieber 🇨🇭SUI (18/19 yo) they have a RD to Yello and Vanessa Paradis. previously skated on the JGP in 2021. 2x National jr champions
Emma Goodstadt/Christian Bennett 🇨🇦 CAN (18/20 yo) she had been on the Next Gen team and had JGP assignments with her previous partner in 2021 and 2022, but he had to stop suddenly for personal reasons. this is a new pairing - they train with Carol Lane. they're skating to B-52's and Black Velvet for the RD and have a James Bond FD. they were 6th at the Lake Placid Jr International and 4th at Next Gen.

Firstly, please remember that my tagging system is for my use. I'm very happy when my blogs help people find stuff! But their first function is to help me find stuff. <3 1. If you’re looking for a specific race, the tag format is [location] [year]. For example, #hungary 2016 or #usa 2019. -> Azerbaijan is listed as Baku. -> Countries with multiple races will be tagged as both the country and track (for example, Spain and Valencia/Jerez/Barcelona, Germany and Hockenheim/Nurburg). -> European GP content is tagged as both European and the name of the track, either Valencia or Baku. -> Where possible, days are also tagged. So, for example, #monaco 2019 thursday. 2. If you’re looking for just a specific year, the format is either #flashback fic ref [year] or #fic ref [year]. #flashback fic ref is any year before 2021. #fic ref is for 2021 onward. 3. If you’re looking for just a specific track, that’s tagged too! Just search the country. 4. On a quest for other racing-related content but not from F1 race weekends, you say? -> Pre-season and post-season tags! For example, #pre-season 2012 or #post-season 2009. -> Testing, specifically, is also tagged! The format is testing [year], like #testing 2018. -> Race of Champions? Goes by year, and is listed under both “roc” and “race of champions”. For example, #roc 2008 or #race of champions 2011. 5. Things he does in his capacity as an F1 driver, but not strictly racing-related? -> The FIA gala is listed under both “fia gala” and “fia prize giving”. Examples: #fia gala 2018 or #fia prize giving 2011. -> Autosport Awards / Laureus World Sports Awards / German Sportspersonality of the Year -> Charity soccer games: Partita del Cuore / Kick Fur Kinder / Champions For Charity 6. And, of course, non-racing-related content: -> The format is [year] not a race. For example, #2007 not a race. -> If you’d like a specific time period during a season, it’s separated by what races it fell between. For example, #between japan and usa 2018. -> Summer break 2022! 7. Feeder series! -> Formula BMW ADAC (all) / Formula BMW ADAC 2003 / Formula BMW ADAC 2004 -> Formula 3 (all) / Formula 3 2005 / Formula 3 2006 -> Formula Renault 3.5 8. All under-18 content is tagged as #childhood photos. 9. Relationships (not taking requests to add to this): -> Sewis -> Smick / With Mick (underage) -> George Russell -> Michael Schumacher 10. Important! On the website version of Tumblr, you can combine search items. This is immensely helpful for finding specific things! -> So, for example, if you open search and type in "hungary 2022, smick" it’ll only pull up Smick content from the Hungarian GP. :) -> Or “flashback fic ref 2011, autosport awards” -> Or “testing 2013, jerez” 11. Trigger tags I commonly use: * These are either for my use or by request and are not up for discussion or debate. If you need something added, please drop me a dm or ask to let me know. 💚 -> #tw max (verstappen) -> #tw transphobe (webber) -> #tw nico (rosberg) -> #tw kimi (raikkonen) -> #tw bernie ecclestone -> #tw helmut marko -> #tw christian horner -> #tw dietrich mateschitz -> #tw crash -> #tw death -> #tw body perception -> #tw food / #cw food This is a pretty exhaustive list, but if you need help or are confused, feel free to contact me! <3

Navigating This Blog:
Firstly, please remember that my tagging system is for my use. I'm very happy when my blogs help people find stuff! But their first function is to help me find stuff. <3 1. If you’re looking for a specific race, the tag format is [location] [year]. For example, #hungary 2019 or #mexico 2016. So, for example, #canada 2022 saturday. For example, #pre-season 2014 or #post-season 2017. -> Testing, specifically, is also tagged! The format is testing [year], like #testing 2021. 5. Things he does in his capacity as an F1 driver, but not strictly racing-related? -> The FIA gala is listed under both “fia gala” and “fia prize giving”. Examples: #fia gala 2018 or #fia prize giving 2014. 6. And, of course, non-racing-related content: -> The format is [year] not a race. For example, #2007 not a race. -> If you’d like a specific time period during a season, it’s separated by what races it fell between. For example, #between japan and usa 2022. -> The Met Gala tag format is met gala [year]. For example, #met gala 2018. -> Summer break 2021 / Summer break 2022 7. Feeder series! -> Formula 3 -> GP2 8. All under-18 content is tagged as #childhood photos. 9. Relationships (not taking requests to add to this): -> Sewis -> George Russell -> Mick Schumacher 10. Important! On the website version of Tumblr, you can combine search items. This is immensely helpful for finding specific things! -> So, for example, if you open search and type in "hungary 2022, sewis" it’ll only pull up Sewis content from the Hungarian GP. :) -> Or “testing 2022, barcelona” 11. Trigger tags I commonly use: * These are either for my use or by request and are not up for discussion or debate. If you need something added, please drop me a dm or ask to let me know. 💜 -> #tw max (verstappen) -> #tw transphobe (webber) -> #tw nico (rosberg) -> #tw kimi (raikkonen) -> #tw bernie ecclestone -> #tw helmut marko -> #tw christian horner -> #tw dietrich mateschitz -> #tw crash -> #tw death -> #tw body perception -> #tw food / #cw food This is a pretty exhaustive list, but if you need help or are confused, feel free to contact me! <3

Very interesting https://www.dn.se/sport/sa-ska-framtidens-landslag-inte-bli-fransprunget-behover-byta-ut-lite-av-traningen/
This is not how the national team of the future should be formed: "Need to replace a bit of the training
Women's football of the future is expected to go faster and faster.
Now the Swedish Football Association is taking measures not to lose ground.
An ongoing study shows that young players may need to add more high-speed training to their everyday routine.
- It's about being able to keep up with developments internationally, so you don't stagnate, says researcher Helena Andersson.
Helena Andersson knows what she is talking about.
During ten years as an employee of the Swedish Football Association, she saw women's football develop at breakneck speed. When she left a post this year as the physio responsible for the women's national team for the university world, it was with a series of international championships on the merit list.
On Maundy Thursday, the Swedish Football Association presents a first partial summary of a project that has been ongoing since 2019.
Andersson, today a university lecturer at the Department of Community Medicine and Rehabilitation at Umeå University (majoring in sports medicine), together with the former national team player Sara Thunebro (operationally responsible from the confederation's side) has mapped the physical load of young female soccer players. Both in training and in matches.
It is about Swedish girls' national team players aged 15–18. In 2019–2021, data from 61 players has been collected using so-called GPS devices. Figures that have since been analyzed include how far the players ran (total distance), distance at high speed (here defined as over 15 kilometers per hour), acceleration and braking.
- Our conclusion is that we probably have to add more high-speed training, says Helena Andersson.
The total distance was, for obvious reasons, longer during a week's combined training than during the same week's match. But the players ran longer at high speed in a match than in a whole week of training.
None of the players in the study belong to the women's league but live in lower divisions.
- But the idea is that we (Swedish football) want to be able to keep up with the international pace, that we should be able to play international matches, says Andersson.
- We know that internationally it is important to cope with this high speed. Purely physical. That's why we wanted to do a survey.
She continues:
- Then it's also a bit about an injury perspective. If you get a handle on the load, you can work proactively to minimize the risk of damage.
A report from the international football association Fifa shows that the percentage of high-speed running has increased for every World Cup since 2011.
In the 2019 World Cup, where Sweden took bronze, England and the USA cleared the most meters at high speed of the four semi-final teams.
- Then you have to add that it doesn't mean that technically or tactically you are the best team, but now we are talking about the physical aspect, that you have to be strong, says Andersson.
The fact that the numbers for the girls' national team players look like they do in the ongoing study can have many reasons, Andersson believes. However, the high percentage of starts and stops in the GPS data from training testifies to a lot of so-called small team play.
- In the past, it has been said from the physical training side that small team games provide very good training, which is still true. But you would have to replace some of this training with exercises that challenge the high speed.
- But sometimes you can have too small a plan and some have very thin squads, and then you also don't have the opportunity to play bigger.
Do you mean that they don't have access to the whole field or that small team games are practiced by tradition?
- It is a combination, I would say. When we brought this up at a joint conference, someone said that "in our area, in the big city, we only have a half court for girls 15". Then you have to find other ways to get up to speed.
The young players who have been part of the project have already received tips to be able to take responsibility for their own training, for example adding certain exercises.
- It's about getting used to playing at this high speed, simply preparing the body. But you have to gradually increase, not just bang on, says Andersson.
When established men's clubs have invested heavily in their women's teams in Europe in recent years, the conditions for physical training have changed, she continues.
Suddenly, women's players have access to expertise in a completely different way.
Has Sweden fallen behind?
- No, I would not like to say that we have fallen behind, but perhaps rather that we are trying to be proactive, so that we do not begin to fall behind.
Are the numbers you came up with alarming?
- No I do not think so. There is really nothing to compare it to in this age category. But we know from the Fifa report that the percentage of high speed is very important.
If you turn it around, what are the risks of not rescheduling the training?
- The risk is then that the difference in load between training and match becomes greater and greater. And then you are not really physically prepared for match load.

LISTEN UP PUNKS!!!!
This is very serious. If the NHS won't prescribe HRT then there is functionally nowhere else to go for trans people in the UK. Its a small island and getting off it takes effort. And unlike USA if the government passes a law it affects the entire country. At the last census there were 262,000 trans adults in the UK. There will be as many trans youth, and trans adults who were under 18 in 2021.
Above is TransActual's article on the Levy Review, which is the adults services equivalent to the Cass Review.
This doesn't get spoken about in the UK. With subjects like this, people often don't realise its happening until they get to the GP's office. Transphobia runs rampant across country and it is not getting better. The new government is still implementing the Cass Review, has allowed the Levy Review to go ahead, and has already totally banned puberty blockers for trans youth.
Now this is scary I KNOW - so here's the good bit. If you are in the UK you aren't helpless. you can write to your MP. There's currently no petitions on this but I will be watching out if not starting my own so pls follow to watch this space. And the most important one is community. Knowing someone who can help is how we get through things like this.
In love, rage, and solidarity, always
X
I feel sick. I'm so scared. Things are going to get so much worse for trans adults in the UK when the Levy review for adult trans care comes out in November. My GP clinic already tried to not prescribe my T when the gender clinic endocrinologist first recommended it, I had to fight them so hard on it, and I'm terrified at any point they will stop.
Please share this. It is so disheartening that when I make posts about US trans issues they have thousands of notes within a couple hours, but UK trans issues barely get 100 notes. Our struggles are linked. The letter, in fact, uses the American spelling of certain words like 'realize' - Which has made some suspicious that this is a form letter provided by the American anti trans hate groups that have been pushing for more transphobic discrimination in the UK lately.
This WILL affect trans people in the US eventually. They will use the UK as an example to follow, when they are (at least partially) the ones who created the conditions for our growing medical discrimination. Our fight is your fight. Please, please care about it. Help people be aware of this at the very least.
