Haloo Haloo!
(This blog is run by @iwontusethis255)
Welcome to the world of Mosaic Prism!
A world of many things.
This is a blog to ask me or the characters questions about the world, and this post in particular is your cheatsheet for all the characters and locations currently revealed!
CHARACTERS
Tumblr media
This is our main cast!
Vestal Eduardo Whitmore (he/him), a simple chef who has a magic flame tied to his figurative heart
Drew Ross (he/him), a former superhero with the ability to have anything he draws become real
Judy Foreman (she/her), strong woman and former member of the Texas Cowboy Mafia
Ursula Beverly (she/her), former superhero with the ability to transform into animals, now a dj
Cameron Leo (they/he), alien fugative who took refuge on earth, the space equivalent of a cat alleyway
Hubert Mann (any pronouns), definitely a real human and definitely not an ancient slime whos been watching and waiting
Model: Amber (they/she), broke out of the robotic hivemind of robotic butlers made by Cam, now trained in guns
Tiny Warrior (they/them), very small, protects the house they all live in from threats the others dont even see
LOCATIONS
Tumblr media
The Mosaic Prism Manor is a house built by the gang in a nice spot in A City (yes that's the name of the city), it was named that because of the very nice stained glass used in the building!

We just had a whole conversation about this and there are a few options: Ellen when she had her sitcom, Rosie O’Donnell, maybe 90210, birdcage or To Wong Foo, but not a lot and mostly played for a gag or a lesson.
My first thought was Ursula from the little mermaid since she’s based in Drag but we aren’t sure if that counts as portrayal or concept
hey reblog this and tell me the first queer character(s) you remember seeing on tv and how old you were

Torture Garden (1967)
Torture Garden, a horror anthology film released in 1967, stands as a mesmerising example of the genre’s penchant for weaving macabre tales that captivate and terrify audiences. Directed by Freddie Francis, the film weaves together a series of chilling stories centered around a mysterious carnival sideshow. In this article, we will delve into the film’s gripping plot, the talented cast that…

30 Days of Classic Queer Hollywood
Day 28: James Dean (1931 - 1955)
"No, I am not a homosexual. But I'm also not going to go through life with one hand tied behind my back." - James Dean when asked about his sexuality
James "Jimmy" Dean was one of the most iconic actors of the 20th century. Despite only starring in 3 films (East of Eden (1955), Rebel Without a Cause (1955), and Giant (1956)), he is one of the most recognizable actors of his time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This lasting fame is largely due to the fact that he died in a car crash in 1955 at the age of 24, just as he was reaching stardom. He became the only actor to receive two posthumous Academy Award nominations for Best Actor. In 1999, the American Film Institute ranked him the 18th best male movie star of the Classic Hollywood.
Tumblr media
James Dean was a bisexual man. He had relationships with many women, including model Pier Angeli and actresses Liz Sheridan, Barbara Glenn, Ursula Andress, and Beverly Wills. He reportedly had private liaisons with men including Marlon Brando, radio director Rogers Bracket, writer William Bast, and director Bob Stevens.
Tumblr media
He was relatively open about this with his costars and coworkers. Nicholas Ray, the director of Rebel Without a Cause (1955), is on record as saying:
"James Dean was not straight, he was not gay, he was bisexual... Jimmy himself said more than once that he swung both ways, so why all the mystery or confusion?"

4- She is close to her granny elizabeth, loves painting, photographing, making cakes, and cookies with her.
5- She loves the ocean, she will sometimes shapeshifts into a mermaid and swim for hours.
6- She hates the color dark pink. Since the moment she was born. So there are a lot of kid/baby pictures wearing blue or any color as long as it is not pink.
7- Lapis Lazuli recorded audio tapes of her singing different lullabies for her daughter to hear. Lily loves it and treasures it.
8- Lapis Lazuli also left video messages and letters to her to read. Especially one for the day she gets married someday.
9- She loves to sing and dance. Especially with her father. But she is shy to do it in public.
10- Her full name is Lily Lazuli Tenma. But most people call her Lily Lazuli.

Note
2, 8, 17
ooh these are some really hard ones lol
2. top 5 books of all time
there's no way i could pick, too many! but let's go with
The Lesbian Body by Monique Wittig
The Soft Machine by William S Burroughs
The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K LeGuin
Biomega by Tsutomu Nihei (should probably be Blame! but i'm reading that with someone & still haven't finished it)
Aye, and Gomorrah and Other Stories by Samuel R Delany
(altho honestly that's more like my 5 favorite authors lol i could've put different works for each of them)
8. first book you remember reading yourself
maybe Oh The Places You'll Go by Dr Seuss? in terms of longer stuff probably one of the Boxcar Children books, presumably the first one
17. top 5 children's books
huh this is a difficult one, i don't really read much that would get called children's books & when i was young i very quickly shifted into reading stuff like Stephen King & Michael Crichton
1-- first i'd just say the whole Animorphs series, otherwise it would just be five Animorphs books lol, these books are messed up in a great way & absolutely helped make me who i am / taught me how to survive
2-- The Once and Future King by T.H. White, a rough adaptation of Le Morte d'Arthur that was a great fantasy read for me
3-- the Wishbone series, good solid intro to interesting works of classic literature but about a doggo which is excellent cuz i love dogs
4-- Ramona Quimby Age 8 and the rest of the Ramona series by Beverly Cleary, Ramona was probably my first femspo lol
5-- idk if this counts but like literally any book abt animals that's heavy on the images and illustrations, Zoobooks or Eyewitness or whatever just something to get the imagination going, bonus points if there's like X-ray style cross-section illustrations
