idk, its just. like. a person comes up to you with their heart cradled in their hands. says it is broken, says it hurts. places it in your hands, asks you to please make it stop and trusts you to fix it. wouldnt you be scared, too? wouldn't you be haunted by visions of you tripping and shattering it beyond repair, of driving the thing thats hurting them even further down so that maybe no one can ever get it out, of someone in their deepest darkest moment trusting you with their life and you fucking it up? how could that ever feel like anything but defusing a bomb? trust is such a valuable thing, a powerful thing, a delicate thing, and the more you have the more you get given and the more careful you have to be with it because what if someday you drop it and break it and it turns out you never should have been given it in the first place. wouldnt you be scared?

You promise yourself you want to be alone, promise yourself that you want to be different, want to be special, love having this hole inside you and point it out in words or song or jokes and stories and take pride in that pain, in your uniqueness in this world of grays and storm clouds. You are 5 am rain on asphalt roads and sputtering street lamps. You are petrichor musings and messy guitar chords and a thousand contradictions wrapped inside a quiet cry, an evening of coffee and jittering hands and a promise that you're okay or that you're fine until you're falling apart in someone's arms or messages and pretend you're alright in the morning. You taste so strongly but sometimes you wonder if all you are is ash.

it’s wild how differently someone can experience a tv series. i’m watching the diagnosing dennis video on youtube and the guy sometimes wonders why dennis would act in a certain way (like in the kitten mittens episode with the thong and shotgun, or in the break-up episode with the codependency, or the hazing stories he tells in the season 5 finale). dude maybe he’s bi, ever thought of that? this is even more obvious after frank v. russia. the video isn’t even bad, but it strikes me how the same show/character can be received so differently. idk though, maybe the macdennis brainrot is getting to me

damn you really need a hug, huh? how many times have you bottled up your emotions feeling like you had no one to turn to other than yourself? you really want the type of love where they care about you despite your struggles and help you to move past them. you probably hate physical touch but at the same time you desperately crave it. the idea of someone tending to your wounds or hugging you as you sob into their chest is so appealing to you because for once in your life you want to feel like someone actually cares about your wellbeing. wouldn't be surprised if your favourite genre of fanfiction was heart shattering angst
