Okay, I might have phrased this wrong, I really meant MK's jacket update in season 3.

But since I have your attention I'm going to rant for a bit.

This is mk at the beginning of the show. The color composition relies mostly on the warm red and yellow/orange that most of us associate with Mk regularly. However, that does not mean that he isn't without teal throughout these seasons. He is sometimes shown with teal headphones as he delivers orders or as shown in the mini figure.

Things start to change towards season 3, as when Mei gives him the jacket about a third of him is now covered in teal. (Left) Even more so in the city of lanterns where most of his upperwear is teal. (Right)

Afterwords, we get to season 4, which has his robes bordered with teal, and (the evidence that is always cited,) the teal that is lining Mk's transformation at the end of season 4. I did some digging and this transformation seems to be different than the rest. The other times Mk transformed, it was more in a cloud of golden smoke, not a whirlwind that is shown here; therefore making this transformation, different than the rest somehow.

Honestly, I am not sure how much you would want to dig into this because I mostly think it is mirroring Wukong. After all, if Mk is supposed to be the successor of Wukong, it would make sense that they have the same color pallet.

That being said..

Wukong starts to lose a bit of color (and teal) as he goes from season 1 to season 3, then he goes back to normal at the end of season 4. Obviously, this show puts a lot of effort into the color themes that it chooses.

Gold = Wukong

Purple = Macaque

Green = Mei

and Light Blue = Death.

But I think we need to see what Mk's upcoming outfit is before I feel comfortable calling this decisive evidence that Mk's pallet is foreshadowing something more.
