Please note: I am currently up to patch 5.3, in Post-Shadowbringers. I will not interact with Endwalker content to avoid spoilers, and will try to tag the name of the expansions to help others avoid spoilers!
Welcome to my blog! This is where I document the life and times of my Final Fantasy 14 characters. I have a many 14 characters which will all be featured here to some degree, but with a focus on my main WoL, Tsinaan Dakora, my Aura Xaela! I’m mainly a PS4 player so 99% of my screenshots will be vanilla, unless I decide to crack open my dusty PC copy that can barely run haha. I also draw and will try to draw my WoL and OCs a lot even though I’m shy to share! FAQs and more info under the cut.
Eventually I plan to write out bios for all of them, but this will be my starting point, beginning with Tsinaan.
Tsinaan’s look varies a lot between expansions, so I’ll differentiate her looks in the tags! Also, I’ll answer some quick easy questions in this pinned post for easy access:
What is/are Tsinaan’s main class(es)?
I do them all, but her canon classes are AST (main, HLR), DNC (DPS), and GNB (TNK.) She started as an Arcanist/Summoner/Scholar so that will be referenced too. I’m totally gonna talk about her thoughts on all classes, and everything that being a WoL entails.
How do I pronounce her name?
Tsinaan: Si-nahn, [silent T, short ‘si’ as in sip, long ‘nahn’ like naan bread. Sometimes shortened to Tsi, pronounced ‘see.’]
Dakora: Da-kohr-ah [kohr like ‘core.’]
Is Tsinaan your only Warrior of Light?
She is my canon WoL, and in her timeline she carries the title of Warrior of Light/Darkness. However, she is not the only one influenced by the Echo. My fiancee has FF14 OCs who are strongly tied to Tsinaan, and they have also been given the Echo to varying degrees. Tsinaan’s Echo is the most powerful or ‘complete’ of the group, but has the most drastic side effects.
The current known members effected by the echo are;
Tsinaan Dakora
Kinkaze Saizo*
Trya Papaya*
Cvetko Zorasch
Zana’tan Chai**
*owned by my fiancee
**joint character between me and my fiancee
Thank you for spending your time here! Let’s get to know each other and explore Eorzea together, I’m always open to make friends, gush about our silly characters and the FF14 story, and everything in between!

Hi again! Before I started writing my fic, I just wanted to ask if you would be ok with the ocs I created knowing Ed from before they got isekai'd. I have 2 of them and I'll briefly summarize how each of them knew Ed from 'before' so to speak. Both of them use their 'actual' names which is why it takes them longer to realize Ed is the Ed they knew.
Pathaan D. 'Agh' Akhtar-Waqiyah (I'm using the same surname-first syntax like the One piece characters do) was going to be about 3 years older than Ed and either be a friend of Ed's mysterious sister or a fellow One Piece fan that Ed met at a con for one piece or something pre truck kun. I was planning on having her spend the timeskip under either fujitora's or Hancock's tutelage and refer to Ed as 'Elric' (fmab reference).
As for the other oc, her name is T.T. Josune (and yes the Ts stand for something lol). She was the oc I was a bit more iffy about because when I was fleshing her out, I pictured her to be an ex of Ed's or an old situationship (and yes, i was listening to Chapell Roan drafting these ocs 😔). As a result, I wasn't sure if you'd be comfortable with that, so I just wanted to check with you.
If you have any suggestions, it'd be really appreciated and I'd love to add them.
I was also curious abt why you were iffy with Boa. Honestly, there are a lot of reasons for that but i was curious abt it since the latest update.
Wow, this was way longer than I expected 😭 Can't wait for the latest chapter.
Oh having OCs who knew Ed from before is SICK and I love that.
Love the idea of Agh knowing Ed's sister, I'd imagine before the... incident she'd be the cool older sibling who would drag Ed around with her friends to make them be social and just because her friends thought Ed was funny. I don't think Ed was much of a con person (they got that introvertism in them ✊😔) but they could have gone to one or two if you'd like to go that route. And her calling Ed Elric is HILARIOUS and I love it.
T. T. Josune is a BALLER ass name and I love it. Titty jokes galore. Ed is one of those people who figured out romance Was Not for them pretty early on, so they haven't had a lot of RELATIONSHIP relationships, but something with a more queerplatonic or fwb dynamic would work. Ed is very upfront with people about the aromantic thing and communicating that romance is never on the table with them, but they aren't opposed to exclusivity or commitment. Being exes or a situationship is fucking hilarious and has to much potential, I am 100% on board with that.
I love Boa Hancock. She is so very wonderful and such an amazing character, she just touches a loooot of boxes that can be. A little odd. I'm going to try and portray her in a very specific way, but I don't want to change or nudge things so much as to take away from her character. Boa is a very careful balancing act but I have so much love for that insane ass woman.
I wish you the utmost luck with your writing and believe in you fully 🫡

Hello again Sarah, apologies for taking your time considering what's happening in the Kalafina fandom. I hope this finds you well! So now I'm officially a member of Wakana's FC. 🎉 It was the most foreign friendly and with your tutorial it was a breeze. Thank you so much! 🙇♂️ Keiko's on the other hand, is much more difficult, not because of your tutorial but because of my geolocation. However, I managed to find a way to deal with it, which leads to my maybe silly question. When I enter my surname, it doesn't accept it entirely, only 2/3 of it, as it seems it's too big(?). Now I could leave it as is, but I'm afraid that may cause issues when they cross-check your information for tickets later on. Imagine winning a ticket in the lottery for a live, fly all the way to Japan only to be denied entry at the venue because your surname doesn't match with that in your passport 100%, due to this limitation of the platform. Of course, in the Lawson ticket FAQ, there isn't anything for this. Are there any other members who have similar issues? Thank you again in advance!
Don't worry, it's fine!
YAY! Congratulations on joining Wakana's fan club!! 🥳
Oh no, I had no idea the location would cause so much trouble. Maybe some things have been changed on the Lawson site ever since I joined the fan club back in 2020. So sorry you've been struggling with the registration. Glad to hear you managed to overcome that first obstacle.
Hmmm, yeah, I recall there being lots of restrictions for the process. There's a pretty strict character limit and I think they only accept Japanese letters. At least they used to back in the day. In my passport and on my Tenso account I have a surname, a given name and a middle name. Unfortunately, all of that wouldn't fit into the Keiko FC registration form so I'm stuck with my surname and given name in katakana. Luckily, this has never caused any issues.
I've asked one of my Thai friends since fans from Thailand often encounter this problem due to having pretty long names. She says it shouldn't matter. Just fill in as much of your name as possible (in Katakana). For packages being sent to Tenso, the most important thing is the address. They also look at the name of course but they will figure it out based on the address alone.
As for lives, they very rarely do identity checks. Especially during normal lives. But not even during fan club events unless it's something super exclusive and intimate. Personally, I've never had anyone check my identity before. In the rare cases it does happen, they would probably cross-check your FC ID (or the ID you use on whatever ticket platform is selling tickets for said event) with some personal ID. It might cause some minor confusion if the names don't match perfectly but that's where gaijin privilege comes in. From what I've heard, they are a bit more lenient when dealing with foreigners because they want to avoid any discussions in English. Usually, they know that many of us have weird names so they are probably used to our names being cut off on all sorts of tickets and documents. As long as your info still checks out (= bulletproof), you should be fine.
Update: Here's a useful tip provided by @hkrwa
Here is my experience with Keiko's FC. When I joined last year, Lawson's system only accepts Katakana but not alphabetical names (I tried both Lawson's website and the Loppi machine in a Lawson store in Japan). I want to have my name written in English, because I won't be able to provide any ID with Katakana version of my name, in case it is necessary. So after the application procedure was complete, I contacted FC via the enquiry form on their website, and they happily changed my registered name from Katakana to English. Hope this helps.

Bastard Children Update: A Surprise Non-Bastard!
Friendly reminder that this au is entirely me doing whatever I want that I think is plausible, because this one reads a little cracky but I promise it works.
Also for clarification, a bastard or illegitimate child in this au is defined as "a child with anyone you are not in a committed relationship with" rather than "a child born out of wedlock". And also Ghost's dad is one of those bastards (as in personality) who's like "it's not cheating if there's only one committed relationship and all the rest is casual" so he did only have one girlfriend or wife at a time.
Anyways, I had this thought in the shower and the process was something like
Remember that one fic where "Price" isn't Price's original surname, he changed it to the kindly neighbor's after escaping his abusive family?
That was some good shit
Okay but what was his original surname?
John Reilly sounds nice
Wait, Riley belongs to another character already
WAIT
Price = bastard big brother????
And then this is what I cobbled together:
Laswell set up an alert for whenever Simon's DNA comes up in the results of a test, that way she can see if it's something innocent or someone getting Too Close to the identity of The Ghost (TM)
They have to run Price's DNA for insert reason here (maybe something something testing for something else and the lab has some deal with law enforcement in the fine print that's supposed to help catch criminals or something) and it comes back with Ghost (and the others) as a 25% match, which is typically grandparents, grandchildren, auncles, niblings, and half-siblings
Price is only three years older than Ghost and he's operating on the assumption it's a mistake, but he's doing his due-diligence and calls his sister to see if there's any family secrets
Turns out his mum is originally from Manchester, she was married and had his older sister there, then she got divorced, got "an evil ex-boyfriend", fled Manchester in the middle of the night with his sister to her family in Liverpool, met and had a one night stand with his dad before being ready to date again a year or two later (he wasn't ready for serious at the time either and became her close friend before anything else)
Price himself was born a questionable amount of time after the fleeing to Liverpool and one night stand and came out looking almost exactly like his mum, so they just crossed their fingers and prayed his dad was also his bio dad, his mum told his dad, and his older sister is capable of doing math
On a very educated hunch, Price sends his sister a picture of Ghost's dad, and sure enough he's the evil ex-boyfriend
Price never tells Simon this because at the time family was still an armed landmine of trauma for him, so instead he just committed to doing what he was already doing and big brothering the hell out of him
Then Simon's doing better and Cam and the groupchat come along and Price is trying to figure out whether or not to fess up to hiding it from him or if it's too late
Enter Cam being like "we should all do 23 & Me! it's not a perfect science but maybe we can find out if Simon and I have even more half siblings and it would be a fun group bonding thing to find out more about our families"
And, well, Price can't exactly be the only one refusing, that would be suspicious, now the only question is if he tells Simon before the tests or acts surprised or what - and also if it's bad that he kind of wants Gaz or Soap's test results to come with major family drama that eclipses his own

Hii,
Can you talk about what inspired you to create your AOT characters and why you picked Eren and Reiner for their partners? Do they have any pet peeves when it comes to their partners?
Have a great day!
Hello! I got so excited for my first ask I made little character banners for my ocs ^^ please note: I have updated Saoirse's surname
Saoirse was my very first OC in the AOT fandom when I watched it at 13 years old. Granted, I wanted to watch Claymore on Netflix, but it wasn't on Netflix and AOT was recommended as a close second so I watched it and well I just fell in love.
Now, if you asked 13 year old me about Saoirse, you would've gotten the most Mary Sue, most power broken OC ever because well, 13 year old me was in no way shape or form good at making characters.
I know in the beginning I was inspired by the Titan Shifters to make an OC, as others were doing the same. However now that I'm older and have had the time to breathe new life in Saoirse, I can say my inspiration for her was to simply make her better.
Why Eren - 13 year old me loved the angry crackhead a lot. As a youngster, all I cared about was the MC and I was hooked lol. But as an adult and having rewatched the series, that love for Eren is still there, but now that I have the power of critical thinking, I see him in a different light that I can appreciate. I'm very excited to explore their dynamic now.
Pet Peeves - Saoirse doesn't necessarily have pet peeves with him, but early on she was definitely annoyed by some things he did when they were younger. She was definitely irritated as all hell by his speeches of freedom, defeating all the titans, so on so forth. It was a sort of "okay we get it" after some time, and his loud volume for the longest time genuinely pissed her off.
Come S4, oh, what she wouldn't do to have him back...
Ghislaine is relatively new! I got Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle for the Switch like 2 years ago, and I originally played as Saoirse (as expected), but I wanted something new. So, Ghislaine was born!
At first I had no idea what to do with her, and only in the last few months did I actually start to craft her. One thing that definitely inspired me was I wanted someone who was the opposite of Saoirse. and I was inspired by the Christa/Historia thing as well.
Ghislaine is a warm and kind individual, but is equally cold, calculated, and ruthless - if not more so.
Why Reiner? - after rewatching and completing the series, I focused on the characters other than Eren, and again, gained a new appreciation for each and every character (again, critical thinking skills).
I came to deeply appreciate Reiner and his development, and I feel deeply in love with him. I think also as someone who struggles with mental illness, I was able to relate with him and find comfort in his character. I figured he would be the perfect match for Ghislaine, especially considering she is half-blooded too.
Little fun fact, Ghislaine and Reiner are a couple in all but name come season 4. Everyone knows it, but they're just not saying anything.
Pet Peeves - like Saoirse, none necessarily. If anything, the rapid deterioration of Reiner's mental and emotional state greatly concerns her. At first she sees it as a burden considering the gravity of their mission, but during the time skip into season 4, she completely changes her tune and becomes both like a caretaker and partner to him.
Thank you for the ask!! I hope I answered your questions ^^

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Vento Aureo OC: Zucca Korhonen
{I've been working on this for several days. While I will keep the old post, which has also been updated, up, I'm posting this as a new post.}
{Notice: Contains body horror, mention of suicide, general light gore, lots of blood.}
{Hildá Áile Gurbbet, legally Kurpitsa Lauri Kemppainen, born in the Suomi area of Sàpmi but moving to Italia at a young age and subsequently being raised there, was a... relatively normal child, all things considered.
Their general home and guardianship situation had some oddities, as they were frequently passed awkwardly between various legal guardians due to hectic family affairs and other assorted tragedies.
This trend of frequent relocation started when they were very young, still living in Sàpmi, after the suicide of their mother; the ensuing mental disintegration of their father made him a danger to be around for both himself and others, not to mention more than unfit to care for a very young child. Kurpitsa was thusly moved to live with their very Christian grandmother and less religious aunt in Helsinki.
This lasted briefly, perhaps a year or so; one day, they got home from school to a fleet of emergency vehicles. They were never told what had happened to their grandmother and aunt, but they'd heard in passing that there had been a gas leak, and they were left to fill in the blanks from that. They were effectively hauled off to stay with their aunt-in-law—their uncle's widow—in Italy, far from home (though they could never quite remember where in Italy it had been), until she, too, ended up dead; the death officially alleged to be the result of her actions following a psychotic break, even though she'd never been reported to have shown any symptoms of psychosis. They attributed it to a "very rare byproduct" of the grief of losing her husband. Kurpitsa wasn't sure they ever really believed it, but they hardly knew the woman anyway, so they didn't feel compelled to dwell.
Somehow, Kurpitsa seemed to skirt most of the direct trauma or grieving periods that one would expect to result from the deaths. This was perhaps due to factors such as them being too young to understand the death of their mother, much less the concept of suicide; never having seen the bodies of their grandmother (whose behaviour may have actually been more traumatic than her death, though it didn't seem to stick with them either) or their aunt when the two presumably died; and not having particularly close with their aunt-in-law—the woman wasn't even directly related to them and lived all the way in Italia, for crying out loud! Kurpitsa barely knew her, nevermind had any kind of relationship with her.
Perhaps, though, it was also because, instead of grieving—a natural and healthy thing to go through after such things—and dealing with trauma that should've theoretically originated from all the death surrounding them, they just got used to it.
The trend of these relocations was that they allegedly happened due to general mental instability within the older adults of the family or the vulnerability of more stable ones due to (occasionally supernatural-seeming) hazards of the area they lived in. Or otherwise, just in general terribly bad luck.
So it was a while until they finally settled to live in Napoli with their cousin, Rutabaga (who had changed her name from Lantuu to 'sound more Italian' and usually went by Rita) and uncle, Nauris, who kept his Finnish name and usually still called Rita "Lantuu".
The Korhonens were who they managed to stay with the longest, from between the ages of around 10 to 15, coming to see their cousin more like a sister and building a real relationship with the two. Ultimately, Kurpitsa took the surname of Korhonen—to attach themselves more meaningfully to their family—and, at some point, the forename Zucca, presumably to better fit in with their Italian peers, similarly to Rita, as they felt insecure with their distinctly Finnish name.
When Zucca was around 14, Nauris died—relatively peacefully, it seemed at the time—of "health complications", but ones that Rita swore up and down that her father was too young to have, so foul play must have been involved; she swore she was going to figure out what actually happened. Her opportunities and capability for this mission were, however, minimal.
At the same time, in the aftermath of the death, Zucca's cousin insisted that unless something better could be arranged, she was capable of and willing to responsibly care for Zucca. Her insistence was an attempt in earnest to offer some sense of stability to Zucca, allowing them to remain in the place they'd lived in the longest, with someone they'd lived with the longest, instead of dragging them off to some other family member (or worse, the system) instead.
Unfortunately, veneered stability could only do so much against alienation and mental instability; Zucca had hit the point where, despite their efforts to fit in with their Italian peers, feelings of isolation became a rampant issue, and the other chemical imbalances were becoming prominent. Being at the age of typical teen angst with a family history of Issues, even if their peers didn't alienate and ostracise them, the rut of anxiety and despair they'd hit was inevitable, and in a vicious cycle, being seen as "troubled" made them more alienated and ostracised.
But when they dared to finally tell Rita why their mood had tanked, Rita responded well with support and understanding to further foster the trust between them and (with the help of some... very low-end counselling they could afford) help Zucca find some foothold, at least some solid ground to stand on while travelling through teenage social darkness.
As far as anyone could tell, Zucca had finally met equilibrium and was in a relatively stable mental state, which was more than they could say for quite a few of the other people in their family, sadly.
But there was one hitch: Rita was a Stand User, whereas Zucca was not. Though they had no Stand of their own, through experience with Rita, Zucca developed at least some general awareness of Stands from Rita; they knew plenty about what, loosely, Stands "were", and, most importantly, how they were typically used for extreme and supernaturally-charged combat. They also had some idea of their cousin's Stand ability, or at least what it could do.
「Heart Demolition」, Rita's Stand, was rather intense. The way that Zucca understood it, through the transmission and reception of information, such as that spoken by mouth or written on paper, a fire could be ignited—the more upsetting the words, the more intense—either burning the mouth of the speaker, to great suffering; effectively allowing the speaker to "breathe fire", still to great suffering; or otherwise simply setting the paper alight, which really didn't bother the paper much although it certainly did it no favours.
Unfortunately, being an older-teen, younger adult Stand User in that area of Italia, living an admittedly quite challenging situation, especially in terms of finance, and most of all still particularly searching for answers she'd not had an opportunity to reach, Rita was led to the seemingly inevitable: attempting to join Passione. With the suggestion of a "friend" of hers, though Zucca wasn't sure which one—they'd later wish they did, they’d love to give them a piece of their mind—Rita had supposedly met with the so-called 'Polpo', and, as many others had, attempted an initiative test... omitting the fact, of course, that she already had a Stand, much like a to-be preeminent "Gang-star" later would, but with a far-less-victorious outcome.
Zucca, by then at the age of perhaps 15, like with Stands, had at least some vague awareness of what Rita was getting herself into; in fact, they knew a little more than they probably should've, to the extent of understanding the dubious nature of Passione, but still having faith enough in their cousin not to cast doubt on her decision.
When Rita explained what this test entailed, Zucca respectfully tried to keep their distance from the lighter so as not to interfere. Inevitably—though Rita had, at the last second, realised and attempted to salvage the flame—the lighter burnt out when her attention drifted for a few seconds too many.
Zucca, clueless as anyone else in their position would be, suggested that the lighter ‘hadn't burnt out, just very low’ and that, 'technically', if the flame was ‘fed’ without striking the spark wheel, then there would be no harm, no foul, surely, right?
They didn't have any matches in the house. Or other lighters, for that matter. Both were rarely a necessity. So Zucca instead suggested that Rita use 「Heart Demolition」, offering to write something on a paper for Rita to set alight, mostly just out of a desire to feel like they were helping. Rita, none the wiser and happy enough to let her cousin feel useful, so to say, attempted as Zucca suggested, setting the paper alight with a tiny flame.
Though the spark wheel had been untouched, the reignition of the flame, of course, summoned 「Black Sabbath」. A confrontation began, and Rita, though she tried her damned best, didn't have much room to escape or otherwise manoeuvre about, considering they were indoors. However, though they couldn't see what was happening and had no means of protecting themself, Zucca intervened anyway, trying to protect Rita or at least give her a fighting chance. Because they got in the way—perhaps trying to act as a distraction somehow—the Stand, it seemed, refocused on Zucca, ultimately piercing them with the Stand Arrow, to Rita's—and, well, surely their own—dismay.
Zucca's next memory was a blast of heat and blinding light, coupled with a wild burst of, perhaps, blood, from behind them. As if in ignorance of the situation, they turned their head; behind them, they saw Rita, standing for a brief moment—covered in bewildering lacerations from which bloodied razor blades of varying sizes appeared to emerge—before crumpling to the ground, motionless, the blades disappearing, her body seeming to dehisce from itself where the deepest wounds were. Odd movements came from some of the slices on her body, like eyes opening on her flesh—on second look, Zucca found that they were eyes, and making "eye contact" with one of these, they could see the memories of their cousin, leading right up to the memory of what had just happened, what Zucca's brain had failed to process, and at that, Zucca fall apart—literally.
With a burst of blood and a deep, internal, slicing agony through their whole being, Zucca—somehow still alive—collapsed as their own body, like they witnessed with Rita's, fell asunder, turning them into a shattered mockery of a human form. Despite this, they found themself still both completely conscious, cognisant and even able to move, though barely, between their body not being attached to itself and the combined numbness and immobilisation of the agony. Their ears rang, and where their vision landed first was upon the Stand that had attacked, remaining for a brief moment amongst firelight before it appeared to vanish.
The entire room had effectively been shredded to fragments and utterly torched, still ablaze, even, to the extent that the outer wall had a hole in it, the window blown out. Yet, somehow, nobody seemed to have caught on to the fact that anything had happened at the time despite the noise that they had so blatantly been deafened by and the fire, to Zucca's fortune and misfortune alike. The only thing left unscathed, it seemed, was the lighter, which Zucca reached out to, grabbed, and tossed into the inferno, not affording it a chance to burn out again, like it meant anything to them.
Somehow, they managed to get up partway, limbs reattaching as if they'd never come off, the places where the dismemberment had occurred marked only by pain and protruding razor blades, and pulling those out proved futile and agonising. They barely managed to lug themself over to their cousin, praying to find her alive, reaching out to touch her to... shake her, wake her up. But any chance of her survival was soon obliterated; as soon as a blade stuck in the palm of Zucca's hand came into contact with Rita, the razors that had retracted into Rita's skin suddenly re-emerged, ripping through her body entirely, completely dismembering her, to Zucca's abject horror.
Zucca remained in the wreckage amongst the flames, frozen in bewilderment, staring at the dismembered pieces and hoping one of the two of them would wake up. They were utterly unable to process after seeing what had just happened. But finally, from the corner of their eye, a glint off the metal of the lighter they'd thrown in their frenzy caught their peripheral and seemed to give them a twisted motivation.
Rita and 「Heart Demolition」 had passed the torch to them.
They manoeuvred over to collect the lighter despite the flames and stayed by the body, immobile and mourning, until they heard distant sirens at early daybreak as the fire had already dissolved to ash and, somehow, they were still alive. Whether the sirens were approaching them to finally investigate whatever unholy disaster had occurred in the Korhonen household or whether it was a coincidence, Zucca decided it was in their best interests not to find out. Besides, they had something to take care of.
Dazed, they somehow managed to stand, now whole again, yet the evidence of their wounds was still visible, the blades still lifting slightly from their flesh, but now hardly more prominent than thorns on a rose. Aside from the slice marks, they blatantly showed damage from the proximity to the fire, though this, too, was more subdued than it realistically should've been. Because, of course, between the fire, smoke, heat and dismemberment, they should have been dead.
Stepping through the ash and smoke, staggering as they struggled with the pain and the inability to focus, they made their way to their room, which the fire seemed to have failed to completely engulf. The clothes they'd had on were torn and scorched, and, setting the lighter down with no concern to further damage it could cause if something else caught alight, they did their best to put something less conspicuous on, only to tear up the new clothes in the process of putting them on. And giving up as the sirens were now fully audible, getting closer, they grabbed their longest coat, covering their head.
By the time anyone could be bothered to actually investigate the long-burnt-out fire and commotion—whether the delay had been out of fear or genuinely nobody had heard or seen anything—someone had already left through the hole in the wall instead of the door, gone to finish what someone else started.
And while it was unclear why the fact that she was a different person entirely seemed to be glossed over, nevermind how she managed to accomplish the heist-like task in the first place, Zucca left a member of Passione... and would very shortly thereafter, by chance, meet a very concerned young man known by most as Buccellati—concerned, no doubt, due to the fact that the young teen was... visibly not in a fantastic state at the time, on account of the whole 'not-really-doing-anything-about-the-injuries' thing, and probably looked entirely lost as her brain was now catching up and she had started to realise she didn't exactly have anywhere to return.
Zucca would soon learn that she now had a Stand.
「Razorblade Meltdown」.
Zucca Korhonen's deeply disturbing Stand, 「Razorblade Meltdown」, is a Close-Range Power Type humanoid Stand. Despite being a power type Stand, the type most typically suited for Stand-to-Stand combat, 「Razorblade Meltdown」 is actually quite rarely seen... as the Stand's ability makes Zucca herself quite the dangerous entity, and that's usually enough.
By use of her Stand, Zucca can bare dangerous razor blades that create deep slices in and extrude through her flesh, even to the point of dismembering herself, which she uniquely can survive and reconstruct at will, though, unsurprisingly, it does appear to be quite excruciating to do so.
This effect is typically inflicted upon others—often on a non-fatal scale—to make use of the 「Razorblade Meltdown」's actual primary ability; when a victim is subject to the slicing effect of the Stand, these slices open into eyes, and making eye contact with these allows you to see the victim's memories.
The effect and, subsequently, the ability, is typically inflicted through contact with the Stand or, more commonly, contact with the blades (or sometimes her blood) when she's using the ability on herself.
The most direct way to inflict the effect upon a victim is when the victim makes contact with the blades coming out of Zucca's skin, which will typically impose a critical-severity full-body impact, and if Zucca is not focused on controlling the ability, can often lead to death. Making physical contact with her blades twice will almost always kill someone immediately via dismemberment. The ability's effect can be undone—though the injury and pain will still be evident—but whether this happens can be case-to-case.
The drawback of her potent ability lies within one simple fact: she must have a genuine mental breakdown or panic attack to effectively use 「Razorblade Meltdown」 (especially to utilise the ability in, say, combat). Typically, in doing this, she extends the effect through every available spot of her body, and the razors extrude to a severe degree, sometimes even "shooting out" and damaging everything around in the most extreme of circumstances.
While her ability is massively powerful and a great asset to have both for combat and for interrogation, it also makes her insanely dangerous to be around while active; she cannot be safely approached until the ability deactivates, but the ability won't deactivate unless she mentally stabilises / calms down or passes out; so it's a bit of a catch-22 in that regard, and she can be seen as a liability because of it... There's also often a lot of screaming. Again, it's quite painful.
Though she is prone to cry while using her Stand, this isn't generally as well-known as the very obvious screaming; often, by the time anyone approaches her, once her ability has been neutralised, she's already stopped.
She can be a bit concerning to be around for those with a touch more empathy, such as most members of Buccellati's inner circle; because her ability requires her to have a breakdown or be pushed past her limit mentally to be used effectively, she often keeps herself on the brink of hysteria or keeps traumatic wounds fresh so she can send herself into a mental or traumatic breakdown if ever she needs to use her ability, instead of trying to figure out if she could learn to use the ability in a stable mental state.
As a result of this self-destructive "necessary evil", she's easily spooked and often struggles to control her own tears seemingly at random. Though she can be pretty friendly and fun to be around, she also, at times, zones out, struggles to even speak and suddenly isolates herself from a conversation group out of fear, anxiety or general self-consciousness. If she doesn't seem tense, she usually looks quite tired instead, which she attributes to the frequent blood loss that comes with using her Stand.
While not necessarily a member of the immediate primary group associated with Buccellati, she falls within the same sort-of "sector", to put it loosely; she at the least works with them frequently but possibly belongs to a 'parallel' group. It would seem that Buccallati's group is, perhaps, a bit more compassionate to her than her own group, which might be the thing that's starting to balance her out.
Initially, her intention lacked the desire to be involved with the organisation. Something of the opposite, actually; on a surface level, she blamed 「Black Sabbath」 - and Passione by extension - for her cousin's death despite holding significantly more turbulent feelings buried within her regarding the event. Still, despite joining with a hunger for revenge, she instead found a sense of family to substitute for the one that had been taken from her and soon lost the will to harm them.}
Update 19.12.2023: Polished up and refined the story. Changed some details and corrected some unclear wording. Update 10.1.2024–16.1.2024: Added new pictures. Still a bit hasty, but better.
Update 4.5.2024: Grammatical revisions.

Capp Manor
I really, really hated the Capp manor in the Sims 2. It was one of the reasons I never played that family. So - while danjaley recreated it for her town and did a good job - I knew I would never keep it. I actually opened it up, took a look around, and said, "Yep, still hate it."
So in my town history, the old manor house burned down. Some sims whisper that those Monty boys had something to do with it. But, more likely it was Tybalt falling asleep while smoking his weed. In any event, if 'el cheapo' Consort supported the local fire district, the firemen wouldn't have taken that detour to the pizzeria when the call came in, saying his house was on fire. But he doesn't and they did. And the rest is history.
Luckily, the house was insured, so he was able to rebuild the place - bigger and better. Even had some simoleons left over to replace the non-existent horse barn he swore was on the property and lost in the fire.
Because he's older than dirt and stairs hurt his knees, his bedroom is on the ground level. It's a combo study, bedroom, dressing room, and bath.
And here's the rest of the floor.
The first bedroom, at the top of the stairs, belongs to Tybalt. It's also the biggest, because he's a guy and Consort is secretly patrilineal, even though he bowed to the Capp demand that he give up his surname when he married into the family. So, of course, his grandson gets the biggest and best room. Besides, Tybalt is the first male to be born into the family in several generations, so he IS the PRINCE!!!! And don't you forget it!
The two girls get what's left - Juliette in the one with the pink-striped bed and Hermia in the purple room. Juliette is actually happy she got the room she got, because it's close to the back stair, which makes it easier to sneak out. Hermia doesn't care. She's got her horse and that's all that matters to her.
Anyway, that's their new house. I do have to go back in and re-do the wallpaper on that one hallway wall. And fix the floor by the back stair case. But apart from that, it is what it is. I can't remember where I got this house. I think it was Mod the Sims, but it could have been TSR. In any event, I redecorated it inside and out. And I think it fits this family better. I do not plan on putting any family graves on this lot - like they had in the Sims 2. The Capps have a perfectly good church that they go to, that has an adjacent graveyard. So all the dead family members will go there. These aren't the Goths after all.
BTW, danjaley provided all the main families for this town - complete with their Sims 2 bios. Which is super nice. I have added to their stories here and there. Mostly to give more info on why they hate each other. For instance, Consort is a complete narcissist. He doesn't have a clue why his former college roommate and BFF got mad when he 1) secretly stole his fiancé and 2) ran off with her on the day they were to get married, leaving poor Patrizio standing there, waiting at the altar. Or why Pat got upset when Contessa and he talked her father into booting Patrizio out of the company he had helped build.
I have taken the sims into CAS - even though I hate it - because I use custom skins, hairs and make-up on my sims. Plus this was made a long time ago, and I decided to update their wardrobes a tad. But if you decide to use her world, she provides the families - and even a save file. I chose not to use the save because I knew I'd be making some changes to the town.

hmmmm whos your oldest oc and how have they changed?
ojh my glooooorb endfire lulamoon my baby. she is still dear to me i still have a twilight sparkle i drew on to try and makje her look like endi she sits on my desk usually i think she might be behind my monitor atm.
but OHHHH shes changed so much i toned her down becayuse like ie know a lot of characters get hit with mary sue labels unfairly but to be entirely fair. that very much was her. she was part changeling from being bitten and infected i think(?) and had a robot leg (also lost in the changeling attack iirc) and one robot wing also i think? and her other wing was like night-sky patterned. and she had one eye that was completerly black with a scar over it and i think it also had the sans undertale blue wispy trail thing people draw sometimes when she used her powers. she also had sans powers i think? IDK also her still remaining legs were also covered in scars because thjats cool when youre nine years old. and still is c ool tbf.
she was princess lunas daughter and i think also king sombras? this was at a poinmt where i kind of shipped them i think cause like ill be real my parents got divorced and i wonder if that was me trying to make myself feel better which is rewally funny in retrospect. i used to be like this about asgore and toriel from undertale also. and she had this ridiculous extended family i think i also decided trixie lulamoon and snowdrop (from that one fan short film if u know) were her siblings and i want to say there was another one that im forgetting. i might find evidence of this on my wattpad hmm.
anyway she was called lulamoon because well its trixie lulamoons surname but also i was OBSESSED with mlpstopmotion on youtube as a kid (i met her at a convention once she was very nice) and she had this series called just different iirc? anyway the characters were sorted into houses a la hairy porter and lulamoon was lunas house (the four houses were based on the princesses) (and chrysalis maybe also had one if orget? she was the villain) but me and my bff at the time were obsessed with this and she had a matching oc who was celestias daughter iirc and her name was north wind. (Wherever u are now i hope youre doing well and i wonder if u still like tostitos as muchj as we did in third grade)
i have some old as balls ms paint base art i can probably dig up of her + some recent artfight stuff from after i toned down her design considerably LOL i might bring back her craziness shes fun. shes my baby. i will update after i dig through my wattpad and like gmail LOL thankyou for asking i loveyou
#muffin mumbles#ISEE U ASKED OTHER THINGS BUT I NEEDTO LOOK FOR THESE NOW OPR ILL FORGET#i dont have an oc tag i should have an oc tag#oc tag#<- that works

Thundertober Day 12 - Hospital
They were just going in for a few tests.
Continuity: TAG
------
“I really don’t see why I have to do this with you guys…” Alan grumbled, clambering out of the car to follow his brothers, who were both waiting patiently for him.
“Because, Alan,” Virgil sighed, “it wasn’t just us who had check-ups due.” He folded his arms. “May as well get all of them done at once.”
Scott quickly sent a message to home, and put his phone away. “Besides, it’s just a few tests. We should be in and out.”
Alan gave him a look. “And if we’re not? There’s no way I’m staying at the hospital overnight for observation, or whatever they call it.”
“Trust me. Neither one of us would want that either, but it’s better safe than sorry.” Scott assured. “If we do have to stay, I’m sorry to say we’ll just have to deal with it.
“I guess…” Alan huffed.
The three brothers walked into the building, stopping when they reached the front desk. The receptionist looked up at them, and without smiling, asked, “Name?”
“Tracy.” Scott answered, causing the receptionist to raise an eyebrow at the surname. “We have an appointment with Dr Kirst.”
In the most monotone voice she could muster, the receptionist threw a couple of forms the eldest brother's way. “Fill these out. I’ll let the doctor know you’ve arrived.” She stood up, pointing to a row of chairs that was clearly a waiting area. “I’ll call out and give directions when she’s ready to see you.”
“Thank you!” Scott nodded to her, and forms in hand, the three brothers made to sit down. The papers were passed around, and they sat in silence for a moment before Alan interrupted it.
“She was a bundle of laughs, wasn’t she?” He huffed, taking a pen from Scott to fill out his form.
“Well,” Virgil started with a rare mischievous grin on his face. “After maybe years of sitting at a desk being greeted by folks as hideous as you…” Big brother mode was on.
“Mature, Virgil. Real mature…” Alan deadpanned. Two could play at that game. “I thought Gordon was the one who made the jokes in this family.”
“Oh, and I suppose I can’t make them, huh?” Virgil asked, still a teasing glint in his eye.
Alan looked his brother up and down, as if considering it, and then stated in the most even tone possible, “No.”
“Guys…” Scott warned, sighing. “If we could leave this hospital without a fight breaking out, that would be amazing.”
Virgil finished up his form quickly, still smiling. “Just brotherly banter, Scooter…”
“You sure about that?” Alan asked, but he was also smirking.
“It’ll all end in tears…” Scott prophesied ominously. Virgil and Alan quickly changed their target.
‘Wow, that’s such a Smotherhen thing to say,’ came at the same time as, ‘If you say so, ‘Mom’…’
Scott snorted. “Okay, okay.” He held up his hands in defeat. “You guys win this round. But you will never win the war…” He promised, gesturing for the two of them to hand him the complete forms. Once he had them, he walked up to put them on the front desk. The receptionist snatched them up quickly.
They were there for about half an hour, bored out of their minds, before the woman at the front desk called their names, telling them where the doctor's office was. The trio was out of the seats in an instant.
------
“That wasn’t that bad, was it?” Virgil asked matter-of-factly an hour later, pulling open the door of the car so he could sit down. His brothers clambered in after him.
“No, it wasn’t.” Alan agreed.
Scott wasn’t so sure. “If I never see a needle again in my life, it’ll be too soon…” He shivered.
Alan opened his mouth to tease his eldest brother, but thought better of it when Virgil gave him a death glare. He closed his mouth sheepishly. Right. He’d completely forgotten. His brother’s fear wasn’t irrational; there was a reason for it. And a darn good one at that. “I’ll just be happy to be home.” He said instead.
His brothers nodded, agreeing. “It sure will sprout.” Virgil said, pulling out of the sea of cars. “It sure will…”

Wild Wednesdays - Part 2
So it’s not Wednesday 🤷🏼♀️ but I’m updating anyways…
She didn’t know what she was doing when she waved to him.
Okay. That’s not exactly true.
Katniss ran into people all the time but she usually just kept her head down and pretended not to see them. Whether it was believable or not was up for debate, but the tactic worked - Well usually worked.
Delly Cartwright was a different story; she refused to be ignored. Katniss had been polite; she’d asked the obligatory questions and had filled Delly in on her life since high school as efficiently as possible (though that wasn’t difficult, there was very little to share.) She’d been working for the city’s park’s department since high school with a few job title changes along the way.
And because no-good-deed-goes-unpunished, Katniss’s politeness had been rewarded with a 30 minute summary of the lives of all the classmates she’d been avoiding over the last decade. She had nodded along, all the while mentally reviewing her to-do list, when Delly asked a question that caught her completely off guard: “oh! you must know Baria, right? Baria Mellark? She works for the Park’s Department too.”
Katniss’s sister and friends often teased her about her lack of a poker face. She later cringed imagining her expression at the query, because she did know Baria, though until that moment had not been aware of the woman’s surname. The District 2 rec center was on the far side of town and one of the best funded sections in Panem City. As the district’s Parks Director, Enabaria was one of the reasons. Katniss had heard annual budget allocation meetings darkly referred to as the ‘bloodbath’ for how fiercely Districts 1, 2, and 4 fought for funding. Katniss remembered a handful of years ago watching in fascination as Enabaria coached a CrossFit class despite her hugely protruding stomach. The knowledge that she had been carrying twins at the time only added to her lore. Though the thought that they were Peeta Mellark’s children made her heart drop for reasons she didn’t want to linger on.

16: [OC] What gave you the inspiration for your muse?
18: [OC] Was their background decided from the start or developed over time?
20: [OC] How did you choose their name?
(All of them? Whoever you think might have the most interesting answer?)
Questions for Me
16: [OC] What gave you the inspiration for your muse?
Seeing their faceclaims often works, but more specifically:
Sadie- Primarily FBI shows/movies, which is ironic because I've had maybe 2 or 3 threads where she's actually working in the last several months.
Melanie- Detective stories, motorcycles since she rides one sometimes (she has a car too though for what it's worth).
Lily- Certain video games, especially Resident Evil, as I was playing one of them when I got the idea that became Lily. Seeing anything about hacking might do it, too.
18: [OC] Was their background decided from the start or developed over time?
Mostly for Sadie since I've been writing her almost 9 years, compared to Lily who was created about a year ago and only really recently has got much writing and Melanie who is even more recent.
I had two ideas for a background for Sadie at first. I couldn't decide and eventually tried to combine them into one, which was...messy. I eventually purged a lot of it and made things better. There is one aspect of her background that's changed and I'm not sure to this day I ever updated in her bio. I'm considering moving all the characters to one blog so I'm hesitant at the moment to make any major changes.
Melanie and Lily are more recent creations and are still really under development. I had two ideas for what became Melanie as well. The other idea is getting developed as another character involved in Melanie's life who I may or may not eventually post about. If I do make the big blog with everyone on it, I might make them a character.
20: [OC] How did you choose their name?
Sadie- I though Sara or Sarah initially, but I wanted a name that was a little uncommon, but not completely unheard of. Sadie just seemed to fit and incidentally comes from the same root as Sara(h). Louise went with her name and "Sadie Lou" is used by her family occasionally. I can't remember how I came up with Sawyer as the surname.
Melanie- Melanie was somewhat repurposed from an NPC I created YEARS ago for a meme. I flip-flopped between Melanie and Michelle before settling on Melanie. Angela as a middle name was just one that worked for me.
Lily- I asked an AI program for a few ideas and Lily seemed to fit her. She's Korean-American, but I have the idea her parents gave their kids (Robert, Lily, Mia) obvious "American" first names. I actually considered Cho for her last name, but that's the surname for her faceclaim and I hesitated so went with Park, which, although a very common Korean name, isn't obvious since it's also common in English. Min for a middle name is Korean and it seemed to fit, and although I'm not big on choosing "symbolic" names it means smart or clever which fits Lily.

So, because I can never really leave well enough alone, I find myself constantly tweeking and updating designs if I let them sit too long and my muse gets on a story. In this case, the victim is The Hero’s Party, which does make sense, since I’m still in the planning stages of the story and am constantly tweeking and updating ideas.
I didn’t change too much about the first set other than a few changes here and there, but it’s just enough that I want to show it off and stare at how sparkly everyone looks, lol.
So first we have the main character whose biggest change is that I changed her name. She’s now Olivia Rosenberg, most commonly known as Livy to those closest to her. I keep trying to change her outfit, but end up going back to what I have here, because it’s, well, fairly perfect. She looks cute, and I think the bolder red looks really good with her pale skin.
Next we have the hero, Kallum Siegel. I decided that I wanted to give him the half cloak thing because it makes him look ~*~heroic~*~ and stuff, and because of that, he had to lose the hood. But that’s fine, because he looks, well, like a hero, lol.
Next we have Artemisia Megalos, who originally was Best Girl and now made into Even Better Girl somehow, lol. She looked great before, but I decided to see what would happen if I have her shorts and thigh highs instead, and then it felt like she needed something covering most of her chest, so I gave her a Mandurian collar thing, and just..*chef’s kiss* I love her so much it’s crazy.
Then we have Eli Greenleaf who has not changed one bit from when I first designed him, lol. He looks great, so there was really no point to, I guess.
The same with Gwendolyn Meindl, at least as far as the minor tweeks I did to her last time. (I was going to try to give her a not German last name because she’s a witch and all and they have a different culture like the elves, but then I figured witches are still technically humans and subjects of the kingdom, so they would have originally been given similar surnames, so…yeah.)
I think the biggest change to these characters is to Xander Kreuger. I decided to go ahead and give him more animalist parts, and I had already decided when I created him that his father had been a wolf type beast man. So now he gets wolf ears and a wolf tail, lol, as well as a tweek to his hairstyle in order to hide his lack of people ears. (This also means that the beast people are anthropomorphic versions of their animals, and that Xander’s father is an actual wolf, and its best not to think about how he came to be, lol. Half beastmen like him are rare, because people fear beastmen for the most part, but it does happen, and, yeah, they don’t think too much about it, either.)
The next set of designs are where it’s important, since I added and changed a lot of things.
The first design there is how Olivia looks at the beginning of her journey to show off the contrast of what the party does to her once she joins. Livy is 100% the victim of being the middle child, but she doesn’t think too much about it. By this point, their family is struggling, and she understands that she gets the leftovers of everything because a) her brother is the only boy so he gets the best of everything just based on being the heir and b) her sister gets doting on more because of her higher magical level. This is what she considers her best outfit, sadly, and it doesn’t look bad, but its old and faded and not all that great. But somehow, she’s still cute?
Next we have Olivia’s younger twin sister, Alicia Rosenberg. Previously, I had made her out to be a bit of a narcissistic bitch who tormented Livy, but have slowly whittled her down to being a caring sister who just happens to be their parents’ favorite because of her level. Twins, for the most part, typically average out with their levels, with most normal people being born with a level of around ten or so. But since it’s an average level, sometimes one twin is a lot higher than the other, which is what happened with Alicia and Livy. Livy has a level of five and Alicia has a level of fifteen, which is considered very high for a normal person. As such, their parents had high hopes for their youngest and expect her to marry into a prestigious family or something.
Alicia now is a sweet girl who loves her sister, but she also recently contracted a rare disease. She’s fine at the moment, but it’s a disease that’ll progressively get worse until she ends up dying a very painful death, which is what kick starts Livy’s quest to find the cure, which is this even rarer plant. Alicia is actually the sort of girl who would give Livy the clothes off her back, except Alicia is shorter and thicker than Livy is, so none of her clothes fit her. But I like how she turned out. Her new dress is adorable, and I amused myself with the idea that the first sister has one braid and the second sister has two braids. But she looks sweet, and I like it.
The next one is a new character and the older brother of Livy and Alicia, Edward Rosenberg. Originally, he was the main tormentor of Livy, but since I can’t really write about the main character having a trash family, he because something of her protector. (Their parents are still trash, but because of that, the siblings stick together.) He’s trying his best to keep things together after his parents dragged them out of their hometown and pretty much made it difficult to return. Livy sort of pities Edward because he was forced to leave his fiancée behind, and he definitely has his own shit going on most of the time. I do like how he turned out/
The next is Charlotte Solentis, the princess of the kingdom. She hasn’t changed at all, because I love her design a lot. A lot a lot.
The last one is a completely new character I came up with a few days ago, Roland Baumer. He’s a character the party runs into occasionally, and he’s basically the fake Hero. No one’s actually aware that Kallum is the hero, which is why it takes Livy by surprise when she runs into him, so Roland goes around proclaiming that he’s the hero. And because his level is so high, people believe him. He lacks the divine power Kallum has, though. He somehow falls for Livy upon their first meeting, and badgers her constantly whenever they met. Which you would think was just so I could make Kallum jealous and all, which he is at first, but Livy despises Roland, which Kallum absolutely loves. Roland is a pompous ass and no one in the Party can stand him.
I like his design, because I was trying to sort of make him opposite of Kallum, for obvious reasons. I didn’t really mean to make him monochrome, but I didn’t think putting him in all black like I had intended would really work, and somehow the greys do. I like how he turned out, because he looks self-important, lol.
Hopefully I’m done tweeking designs (I’m probably not), because these all look really good and I’m happy with them all. So shiny. :D

Untitled ChoicesPrompts:
Grab your coat
Leave a note
And run away with me
The nobleman held the vellum stationery between his fingers as his eyes re-read the summons, written in familiar, flourished script. The mingled fragrances of amber, mandarin, and jasmine wafted gently from the sheet of paper.
The black linen envelope it arrived in lay on the front passenger seat of the car he drove, the plain white address label bearing his title, name, and the name of his house. No street address was given; it wasn’t necessary.
Opera flowed from the vehicle’s speakers: Madame Butterfly, one of his mother’s favorites. It filled his ears as he continued to stare at the words, curious if the missive had been sent out of concern or conniving. It was no secret that his carefully crafted façade was crumbling, and that he was desperate to keep it private. But this was Court; the circles were small, and mouths were big.
The Poisoned Apple
Palace Cells, 3am
The soft tap of Louboutin heels against the stone floor echoed quietly down the weakly-lit hallway. King’s Guardsmen stationed exactly five feet apart bowed deferentially to the Queen as she passed them. Queen Riley Brooks – she had dropped the Rys surname a decade ago- acknowledged each bow with a terse nod of her head, her thick curls bobbing with each movement.
Her steps slowed as she approached a barred cell; she peered inside the darkened prison. Its sole occupant was awake, their head buried inside a book. Riley saw the movement of the person’s lips as they read aloud in a hushed whisper.
“Ahem,” the monarch cleared her throat. “I need a word with you.”
Juanita “Jane” Ramirez lifted her head slowly, her eyes locking on Riley’s. She took in the smartly tailored pantsuit the other woman wore and caught a whiff of the expensive fragrance perfuming the Queen’s skin despite the lateness of the hour.
“What could you possibly have to say to me, in the middle of the night, no less, that you haven’t already said in the course of the past 10 years?”
“I’ve lost everything because of you, and I now stand to lose even more!” the Queen seethed.
The disgraced doctor barked out a harsh, mirthless laugh before swing her legs over the side of the iron cot anchored to the brick wall. “That’s a rich statement coming from the woman on the other side of the bars,” she observed.
“I’m as much a prisoner as you are; my cell is simply larger.”
Silence between the two women until Jane sauntered the door, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed over her chest.
“I couldn’t change the DNA, Your Majesty,” she said quietly.
“You could have lied about it!”
“For what? To what avail? The truth got me imprisoned for 20 years; a falsehood would be a death sentence!”
Riley’s eyes narrowed, and her voice cracked when she spoke. “Then we’d both be free.”
Boxing with God (#KTAW)
The strains of the Cordonian Waltz filled the Lythikan Keep’s ballroom; the guests flowed easily and effortlessly between each other, their movements almost perfectly in sync. Kiara Theron’s head was tilted back as she smiled up at Lord Tariq. He twirled her away to the next partner as he prepared to receive the next; Kiara twirled into an empty space.
She looked around quickly, wondering if she somehow fallen out of step when a horrified shriek split the air. The Lady of House Theron looked around swiftly, as did others; the scream had come from Lady Riley, the suitor from America, whose eyes were fixed on Duchess Olivia and Prince Liam.
Who were kissing. With tongue.
Kiara’s eyes widened at the sight, while she clicked her tongue disapprovingly. To Riley’s untrained eye, it appeared that Olivia was staking her claim and the Prince was willing to let her do so. But Kiara knew better. And it made her heart sad but also churned the wheels in her mind.
The competition was taking itself out; Olivia throwing herself desperately at Liam, reminding him who loved him, who knew him and lady Riley screaming like shrill fishwife who had somehow been wronged.
Now was the time for her to stand out.
Trudy Sloane (#SWAW)
Sloane never bothered to ask her mother why she named her only child Gertrude; she had always assumed it to be a family name, belonging to a favorite aunt or an almost-forgotten great-great-great grandmother.
What she told herself is that she was named after a great woman in history.
Perhaps Gertrude Bacon, an aeronautical pioneer and writer with contributions in astronomy and botany; or Gertrude Barrows Bennett, an American writer of fantasy and science fiction. Sloane’s personal favorite was Gertrude Blanch, the mathematician.
Gertrude grew up in Washington, DC in an era where the options for black residents were limited. Children from lower-income families were encouraged to enter the military; mid-income parents steered their offspring towards the federal government for the job security, or vocational school to learn a high-earning trade such as cosmetology, barbering, or plumbing.
Even as a child, Trudy, as her mother affectionately called her, was different. She didn’t watch the other television shows her friends watched. She was a fan of the Star Trek franchise, religiously watched the PBS science series NOVA, and instead of playing with dolls and makeup, she took anything mechanical apart to find out what made it work.
No, Trudy was not going to be stuck behind a desk shuffling papers and answering calls from irate citizens in her customer service voice. She was going to make a change in the world. A noticeable difference.
She didn’t know the world was going to bring about a difference in her as well.
The Price of Everything (Platinum AU)
Avery Wilshere stepped out of Brooklyn’s blustery chill into the relative warmth of Late Night Wanderer, his blue, blue eyes taking in the crowd. The repurposed warehouse was packed, people lining walls and walkways, and jostling to get the attention of mixologists at the bar. A lucky few were seated at tables near the stage.
Avery removed his bowler hat as he walked through the crowd, wondering who or what was causing such a buzz. Hell, he was the number one pop star in the world at the moment and no one even recognized him.
Sometimes, that was a good thing.
Snatches of chatter reached his ears, one name repeated constantly: Riley Brooks.
He found a seat just as house lights dimmed; he was shrugging out of his wool coat when a Latina of slighter taller height with her brownish-blond hair in a pixie cut climbed the makeshift staircase to reach the stage. The crowd began wildly applauding and filling the air with wolf whistles.
She smiled to the audience, picked up her guitar and strummed a few chords as she spoke.
“You guys treat me too good, I swear! Going to start off with a song I wrote the other night, thinking about them. We all have a ‘them’, am I right?”
Loud applause as the crowd agreed with her question quickly quieted as Riley began singing.
I pull up out front, put the car in park
I open the door, cross the floor
Shed light into the dark
Searching for peace of mind, but all I find
Is a cold and empty room
I thought you were my home
But all you did was play house
I turn on some music and dance alone
Remembering being in your arms
Never knowing your smiles were swords
Meaning me deep harm
You were my home, and I was your house
You were playing house my heart
Dumbing me down with your smarts
Your lips, your eyes, your touch
Playing house with my heart
And I still love you, I still want you
Playing house with my heart
And I don’t need a home if it means you won’t roam
Stay
Stay with me
And play house with my heart
The last note hung in the still air for a full minute before Riley received a three-minute standing ovation. She wore a look of bewildered happiness on her face as she alternated between bowing as much as her baby bump allowed and blowing kisses to the audience.
Avery studied her thoughtfully as he briskly clapped his hands together.
His flame was burning brightly today, but there would come a tomorrow when it wouldn’t. He would probably become a producer, help another singer or two make their mark before Avery into obscurity.
This woman could be his legacy. She had an innate ability to connect with the audience, regardless of demographics. Hell, with the right grooming and marketing, she could be the female Elvis.
Avery could make that happen.
He was going to make Riley Brooks a superstar.

I’ve also mentioned that I would be going back and revisiting my older Tintin OCs, as well as giving them updated backstories.
So we’ll be starting with the very first Tintin OC I’ve ever made.
This is Maxine Ravenswood.
I originally created her back in 2011 when the Tintin movie came out. Because I thought to myself, “What if Tintin had a female friend?” Thus, Maxine was born.
I originally named her Malina, but since I wanted to do an update on her, I thought of doing a name change.
(Anyone who liked Malina, I apologize!)
When I started reading a few of the comics, plus looking at others’ Tintin fan OCs, I thought of making her an official Tintin fan OC.
Her basic profile (bit of a TW for mentions of misogyny):
Maxine is the eldest daughter of her family.
She’s also a year older than Tintin, having been born in 1913.
After her younger sister Hanna was born, both girls had lost their parents during the onslaught of World War I. And soon, they were sent to an institutional orphanage.
As a kid, Maxine was a troubled child. She hated being told to act like a lady, and often times picked fights with the other children, the majority of them being boys. They mostly picked on her and called her names, the worst one being “stupid pig”. And more often than not, it was Maxine who got in trouble with the people who ran the orphanage.
Maxine was adopted by a British Royal Air Force commander named Benjamin Gallagher, who allowed her to keep her surname Ravenswood.
Her home life was relatively better than what she experienced in the orphanage. She was treated rather pleasantly with Benjamin and his wife, but that didn’t prevent the usual family squabbles.
In her later teen years, Benjamin decided to let Maxine enlist in the Royal Air Force. She was initially given a position of secretary, but was allowed to train in routine flight procedures.
Sometimes, she was permitted to stay in the countries she visited for a week-long period or two during her training. While doing a residency in Belgium, she met Tintin.
Sometimes, more often than not, Maxine would join Tintin and Haddock on their adventures.
When Benjamin was asked to head his troops into a war, he didn’t want Maxine to be left out. So he decided he wanted to enlist her into his troop. While Maxine was on board with it, his commanding general wasn’t supportive of his decision.
Benjamin's commanding general, Frederick Williamson, prohibited Maxine from enlisting for the obvious reason that "women are not soldiers". Even though Benjamin acknowledged her extensive piloting knowledge and weapon building, Frederick was not convinced at all. He thought women fighting alongside their male counterparts was "a waste of valuable resources".
But Benjamin never gave up on Maxine. He secretly gave her permission to enlist, but only under the condition that she adopt a male alias and disguise.
Maxine did so, under her fake identity Maxwell Ramsbottom. The only ones who know about her disguise are her sister Hanna, Benjamin, her aunt Juliette, and her fellow soldiers.
Knowing that she had to keep her true identity a secret, Maxine had to get creative. Her resources in hand? A corset wrapped around her chest, a man’s wig, hair net, and a shit ton of bobby pins to hold her hair in place. The only time she never needed the wig was when she wore helmets or hats.
During her service in the military, Maxine also doubled as a spy for her troop. And in the process, she might have made some…enemies along the way. Some who even found out her real identity.
After a few years in the war, Maxine returned home to London. Benjamin had allowed her to move in with her sister and aunt, after he managed to track down her aunt’s house in the countryside.
However, that didn’t stop her from being outed by Frederick, who eventually found out about Benjamin going against orders and letting Maxine enlist, as well as Maxine’s disguise. Frederick had Benjamin discharged as commanding general, putting him out of work.
Maxine and her fellow soldiers were outraged by the news, so they took it upon themselves to actively campaign for Benjamin to get his job back. But most of their efforts were a little unsuccessful. But Maxine wouldn’t give up.
Maxine found it a little challenging to readjust to life after war, due to the trauma from not just battle, but being outed as a woman.
More often than not, she tended to react violently if someone made misogynistic remarks at her. But over time, she’s learned to manage her anger properly.
She also helped Tintin and Haddock in many of their adventures from time to time, acting as the secret weapon if anything went well out of hand.
So there you have it. That's Maxine’s story.

This is researcher Janey Amber creating the mandatory research logs for Project Delta.
Research outline - See what the side effects are of repeated minor Forced Evolutionary Virus exposure.
Requirements - Young test subject - Constant monitoring of subject - Access to FEV in small doses.
Goal - Create a person impervious to radiation poisoning without complete transformation.
Notes - The subject will have to be raised outside the Enclave base. They must be exposed to radiation throughout the test, this will not be possible from the confines of Raven Rock or Adams Airforce Base. This is a large project to be undertaking but will hopefully yield results that can be used to protect future generations from the radiation that will be present in the wasteland.
Risks - If too much FEV is injected the subject may suffer transformation and mutation beyond the desired outcome.

Mandatory research log 2 - Test Subjects
Me and my small research team have received a test subject. Rather than a volunteered Enclave child like I had expected, the subject is a young girl from the wasteland. Rumour from some of the soldiers is that the child had been taken from a Brotherhood camp. If so, she would be a more valuable bargaining chip for the Enclave. But these are just rumours and I deal only in facts.
She’s older than I’d have liked, but the uses of a mindwipe has removed all risk of rebellion. She’s health with low radiation exposure, allowing for more accurate images of radiation effects. She seems to have an aptitute for technology despite the mindwipe, hopefully that is all that will bleed through from her old life.
Having been taken from the wasteland and mindwiped, we do not know her name and have taken to calling her Paige. For the experiment to work, myself and Paige will have to leave Raven Rock and join the poor excuses for civilisation in DC. Because of this Paige has been convinced I have been her Mother figure for the last few years and she will also take my Surname. Though I dislike the idea of someone being raised without a middle name. So she will be Paige Julian Amber. A good name for a girl like her.
Another test subject is being chosen from the children born into the Enclave. Darren Elliot will take care of their administration of FEV. Due to the experimental nature of this research, he and his subject will remain in an Enclave base, forming an alternate method for the test. This allows for balance in our research.

Madatory Test Logs - Update - Rivet City
The test has been going on for 3 years now. Me and the girl are living in Rivet City, a dilapidated warship with a quaint science department.
Over the last 3 years, the girl has been exposed to the FEV 3 times. No notable changes have occurred. She has quickly engraciated herself with the local population as I have with the scientists. One of them, a Madison Li, worked on the abandoned Project Purity. Something of note that could be valuable in the future. No one suspects my alleecnes to the Enclave.
I fear the experiment may be a failure. Paige has shown no signs of being poisoned by the radiation that is so prevalent out here, however she has not been properly exposed to high amounts that would lead to any real effect. My fears of a failed experiment come from my growing concern for the child. She is now 11 and I find myself worried about her being raised in a world like this. But I am not letting my emotions overcome my objective. This was not a risk to the experiment I had foreseen.

After 7 years of letting me continue this experiment the project has been scrapped. The test subject at Adams Airforce Base died after their 7th injection of FEV. The Enclave, no Autumn no longer sees the value fo the experiment. He believes I have been to distant from the Enclave to be immediately brought back into the fold, so I am to ‘test my allegences’ and travel back out West to find some technology that we left out there. My cover is that of a courier.
After all these years, purposefully exposing Paige to FEV, Autumn has the nerve to send me away on a test of my faith. I was getting results. Paige has not gotten radiation sickness despite having fallen into the water. Despite having been dragged through the city’s ruins she has not gotten sick. Paige was a successful subject and the test still had 3 more years. But she has not been socialised as a member of the Enclave and so Autumn sees it as a failure.
I have left my daughter with the radio host, Three-Dog. He does not know I have abandoned her, nor does he know my allegecnes. This is my one act of rebellion against the Enclave, leaving her alive with someone who may be able to return her to her real family. She will be safe with the DJ and her technical knowhow will aid her in the wasteland.
I still believe in the Enclave, and I will return in the years to come with whatever we left behind and I will prove to them than even after years without the FEV exposure, Paige will survive without radiation poisoning and without mutation.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Vento Aureo OC: Zucca Korhonen
{Update 19.12.2023: Polished up and refined the story. Changed some details and corrected some unclear wording. Update 10.1.2024–16.1.2024: Added new pictures. Still a bit hasty, but better.
Notice: Contains body horror, mention of suicide, general light gore, lots of blood.
Oh dear, would you look at that? I've made another. Profile complete with alternate outfit palette, some very hasty sketches, and the Stand. I think this one's, like, twice as long as Zatta's.}
{Hildá Áile Gurbbet, legally Kurpitsa Lauri Korhonen, born in the Suomi area of Sàpmi but moving to Napoli at a young age and subsequently being raised there, was a... relatively normal child, all things considered.
Kurpitsa barely knew her, nevermind had any kind of relationship with her).
With the Korhonens was where they managed to stay the longest, from between the ages of around 10 to 15, coming to see their cousin more like a sister and building a real relationship with the two.
With the suggestion of a "friend" of hers, though Zucca wasn't sure which one—though they'd later wish they did—Rita had supposedly met with the so-called 'Polpo', and, as many others had, attempted an initiative test... omitting the fact, of course, that she already had a Stand, much like a to-be preeminent "Gang-star" later would, but with a far-less-victorious outcome.
Because they got in the way—perhaps trying to act as a distraction somehow—the Stand, it seemed, refocused on Zucca, ultimately piercing them with the Stand Arrow, to Rita's, and, well, surely their own, dismay.
But any chance of her survival was soon obliterated; as soon as a blade stuck in the palm of Zucca's hand came into contact with Rita, the razors that had retracted into Rita's skin suddenly re-emerging and ripping through her body entirely, completely dismembering her, to Zucca's abject horror.
Initially, her intention lacked the desire to be involved with the organisation. Something of the opposite, actually; on a surface level, she blamed 「Black Sabbath」 for her cousin's death despite holding significantly more turbulent feelings buried within her regarding the event.
