@ everyone following me for art, worry not about the non-art spam, my PC has been having intermittent BSOD issues so I've been holding off on some things while I figure it out. lol
Probably more faulty RAM, which is insane as it's only like 9 months installed, but the faulty RAM last year corrupted several of my complex Clip Studio Paint files (1-5 layers of each corrupting) and forced me to reinstall Windows due to corrupt drivers, so I'm playing it safe. 🫠
#olessan oration#the other option is my outdated chipset and BIOS version#but like usually you don't touch the BIOS often unless you NEED to update as a bad BIOS update can and will brick the entire computer-#- or othewise royally mess it up#my chipset driver is from 2021 tho so I'm debating on updating that to see if my weird USB issues are fixed with that BUT#the USB issues are 90% related to my USB wifi adapter whose most recent driver is from 2020 so I may also just need to get a new one#I intentionally didn't get an internal wifi card because it's 2.5 asscheeks to open up the PC JUST to change a PCiE component that's-#- not like. important. like a GPU#I'm having an issue with my networks all failing at once and semi bricking the PC requiring a hard shut down#which could be the wifi adapter driver or the RAM or the chipset#or something else#but that hadn't happened since the new RAM and the windows refresh BUT I am also using my mobile hotspot for the first time since then#as my internet has been out for 3 days#and my PC DESPISES my phone data hotspot for some reason#so idk if it's because of that or because of the RAM or the adapter driver that's causing the hard shutdowns it could be all 3

about are you here from the "about this blog" button on the customized version of this blog? great! you're in the right place. if you're not, or viewing this on mobile, you can find a list of links that are linked to in the sidebar of the customized version at the end of this post.
what do I post? motorsports as a whole, but specifically whatever series kevin and nico are currently running in: right now, formula one and endurance racing. there's also rpf - sometimes with nsfw themes - as well as normal trackside and racing discussions. I talk about writing, too.
faves a surprise to some, I do have favourites that aren't kevin and nico. you'll see them around sometimes. I mainly post nico and kevin, though.
tags I use I have an archive and tagging system set-up; like the rest of this blog it has a huge kevin/nico bias with some romain sprinkled throughout. you can combine the tags below if you're looking to find specific content on one of them (kinda. depends on the mood tumblr is in that day--I apologize if it ever gives you troubles. there is an archive version of this blog native to tumblr as well).
#lore - posts and rbs with lore of drivers/ships #analysis - when I (or others) put the grey braincells to work and analyse driver's media personas, career trajectories, narrative parallels, etc. all for fun, don't take too seriously. #web weaving - web weaves created by me #art reblog - art reblogs #photo/video edits - photo video edits (not my own)
#archive - pics, gifs, videos, etc of drivers. #baby hulk posting - anything young nico hulkenberg #fuckboy posting - specific genre of nico pictures #dekra hat posting - nico hulkenberg with his dekra sponsor visible #babymag posting - young kevin magnussen
#age swap hulknussen au - for anything pertaining to the age swap au (asau) #my writing #my gifs
drivers and ships drivers get tagged as their first and last name, no special characters. some of the ships I post about may not have a set or commonly agreed upon shipname, so here are some clarifications should you need them (and I double tag kevin/nico with both hulknussen and haasbands)
#jenmag - jenson button/kevin magnussen #valkev - valtteri bottas/kevin magnussen #grosmag - romain grosjean/kevin magnussen #groshulk - romain grosjean/nico hulkenberg #groshulknussen - romain grosjean/nico hulkenberg/kevin magnussen
masterposts and essays that's the links I was talking about earlier
a brief look at the history of hulknussen on ao3 (semi outdated by now; written 11-09-2024) hulknussen fic rec list (might be outdated - not sure if I will continue updating it) why haas, nico, and kevin worked so well a write up of the narrative parallels between nico and kevin

New Mahindra Pik-Up Double Cab Reviewed

Early October 2017, Mahindra launched the updated version of its next-generation Pik-Up in Gauteng. Women on Wheels was there to experience what Mahindra promises will make competitors sit up and pay heed.
In South Africa, bakkie fans have various reasons for their product preferences, whether it be for work, play, or simply the pure joy of owning a bakkie (or simply their love of the model). Apart from its affordability in South Africa’s tough current economic climate, bakkie owners most likely value its combination of comfort and capability.
It appears that Mahindra has tapped into this. The new double cab Mahindra hosts a variety of features to satisfy these desires, with a price tag that should appeal to a broader range of consumers. It now comes with a six-speed manual transmission, increased turbodiesel power with 103 kW, a much more attractive interior than its predecessor and a towing capacity of 2 500 kg.
Robust and rugged, a real outdoorsy adventurer
On the outside, it might look somewhat outdated when compared to some of the other new bakkie brands launched this year, but I like that it’s got that hint of old-school originality quirk to it. As much as I love the look of the latest bakkies out there, the new Mahindra Pik-Up gives the impression of a real off-road, outdoorsy adventurer, perfectly suited to South Africa’s diverse and often harsh road terrains.
The upgrade does, however, give the new Pik-Up a slightly more aggressive and modern look, with emphasis on the front-end styling. The most significant changes to the exterior include a new grille, headlights, bonnet and foglamps. Headlights on either side of the grille are also completely new with a new curved LED daytime running light signature, or “eyebrow” as Mahindra names it, for the top-of-the-range S10 derivative.
Convenience and comfort
I had quite a lot of time inside Mahindra’s new Pik-Up while driving from Lanseria International Airport to Magaliesberg. While we usually pair up or have at least one driving ‘buddy’ on launches, I was assigned to my vehicle without a driving partner. At first, I was somewhat apprehensive about having to navigate myself in a car I’d never driven before, but it didn’t take long for me to feel comfortable and confident. In fact, I rather enjoyed having the cabin to myself as I could take in all that it had to offer, without any distractions. I was also grateful for the S10’s built-in Navigation system that directed me through every town and highway road, very precisely and timely.
Seating positioning in the new Pik-Up is raised and you sit pretty high up, while visibility through the windows is unobstructed. Seating is further made comfortable thanks to improved upholstery and the flagship S10 derivative adds driver convenience with a multi-functional steering wheel, as well as remote central locking and cruise control.
Driving impressions
Mahindra’s new Pik-Up’s six-speed manual gearbox driving rear wheels is what I enjoyed the most during my test drive. Gear-changing is efficient and smooth, while its in-gear acceleration and pulling power are sufficient. It has an updated 2,2-litre four-cylinder mHawk turbodiesel engine with an impressive torque of 320 N.m which is reached at 1 600 r/min.
The entire range of the new Mahindra DC bakkies is fitted with an electronic Locking Differential as standard, so there’s no need to sit and fiddle with buttons or to wait for activation lights during your off-roading excursions. We had a quick go at some off-roading with the new Pik-Up once we reached Magaliesberg and although the terrain going uphill was extremely uneven and rocky, I remained pretty comfortable and solid behind the wheel.
Safety conscious
Mahindra’s done a good job at providing enough safety features as standard on some models, to give someone like myself, a somewhat neurotic and safety-consciously minded driver, peace of mind. These include ABS, EBD, Dual airbags, Crash protection crumple zones and a Collapsible steering column.
They’ve also added three headrests for backseat passengers, three-point seatbelts, as well as two ISOFIX anchor-points at the back of the Double Cab S10 models.
The new Mahindra Pik-Up might not be as refined as bakkies like the Ford Ranger or the Volkswagen Amarok, for example, but it’s certainly a great alternative to the bigger players and for customers looking for a more affordable bakkie capable of heavy loads and off-roading adventures.
Pricing
The Mahindra double cab pricing includes a 4 Year /120 000 km Warranty and roadside assistance, and a 5 Year / 90 000 km Service Plan. Services are at 20,000 km intervals or every 12 months, whichever comes first.

There’s this hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant in my college town, family-run and run down. There’s never more than two customers eating inside at all times, and usually the shop workers will be posted up in one of the booths, prepping ingredients while watching the small tv they hung up in the corner. I’m one of the few people who actually like to eat inside; most people order delivery, and the drivers will usually be sitting at one of the tables, bored and on their phone.
I love coming here because it feels like the closest thing I’ll ever get to eating at a grandparent’s house. I sometimes say a greeting, sometimes nothing at all, but the same host greets me all the same and lets me sit where ever I want. My legs dangle from the seat as he brings me a water and a cup of tea, without me asking. I’ll look through the menu even though I already know what I want, and when I put down my menu, he has already placed a plate of crunchy noodles and a bowl of egg soup in front of me. And I eat those crunchy noodles like they’re freshly baked cookies, and the egg soup warms me up as though someone has draped a blanket over me.
I love the noises that come with the place too. I love the unabashed sniffling of the chef, the playful banter between coworkers in Mandarin, the host humming to himself as he works, and the competing noise between the TV and a video plying from one of the driver’s phones. I love that even though they tried to update the floors, the walls are still old and full of cracks and outdated decorations.
And these restaurant workers will never truly know how much that place means to me. I mean, because I’d never tell them directly- that would make me a huge weirdo, and I’d never be able to eat at one of my favorite restaurants again. And also because it’s a little sad to admit that I’m so deprived of a place of comfort that I chose to find it in a little, overlooked Chinese restaurant in Lakewood.
But I am overall just glad that I have a little hole I can escape to when I feel like I need some grandmotherly comforts.
#personal#in the midst of one of the worst depressive episodes I’ve had in a while#I’m really trying to find things in my life to celebrate#and I have no one to tell things to hence posting on tumblr dot com

How To Legally Transition in British Columbia, Canada
A while ago I said I would make a guide on this so here. Every other guide I found was either outdated for specific to another province so here is an updated one. Mainly writing this for my trans BC friends but anyone can use it. To those who aren’t from BC you can also use this as sort of what to expect if you choose to legally transition as it may be similar in other places. Important: You need to be 19 years old to change your legal name and gender marker in BC without parental permission. Things you will need: - Your original birth certificate. - Two pieces of government issued photo ID. - If you’re from outside Canada, resident or citizenship cards. - If you’re married, marriage certificates. - Photocopy of your receipt for criminal record checks. - A notaries person to also sign your application. Cost: Expect to pay at least $440, that’s how much I spent in total and includes the costs of updating IDs (including passport). Step-By-Step: 1: Criminal Record Check The province of BC requires all applicants to get digitally fingerprinted during the process. This can be done at any RCMP station, no appointment necessary. If you don’t want to be around police then you can find an accredited agency in your area instead, however they may be more costly. Mine costed $55 and it was done by the police. If they ask you why just say you are trans and don’t elaborate further as your response will be recorded if done by police. Once that’s done, ask for a photocopy of your receipt, that’s what you need to send to the government. You will need two pieces of government issued photo ID for this. I used my BCID and Passport as I don’t have a driver’s license.
2: Name Change Application Once you have the receipt you need to send it within 30 days. You can find the applications on the BC Government’s website. If you’re over 19, not married, born in Canada and have no kids then you can apply online here: https://ecos.vs.gov.bc.ca/ Everyone else can apply here: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/health/forms/vital-statistics/vsa529_fill.pdf Once you’re done that, print all necessary documents but don’t send it yet. You need the gender marker change application still. This part should cost $137. If you are under the age of 19 you will also need to write a hand-written letter about why you want to change your name.
3: Declaration Witness Before you can mail your application for your name change you need someone who is qualified to do so to witness you signing your application. I had a lawyer for mine only because my mother is a lawyer. Anyone from a notaries public is qualified for this stage. You can find one here: https://snpbc.ca/
4: Gender Marker Change Application As of January 2022, you no longer need a diagnosis in BC to change your gender marker if you’re over the age of 12, so this process has been made so much simpler. Application: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/health/forms/vital-statistics/vsa509a_fill.pdf Cost can range depending on what you choose, mine was $54.
5: Mail Your Applications Now that you have everything you need, you must mail it to the Vital Statistics Agency in Victoria. The address will be on your documents. Please remember to include your original birth certificate, photocopy of criminal record check receipt and the signed document given by your witness. If you’re not from Canada then a copy of your permanent resident or citizenship card. After this you now must wait.
6: What To Do After After a while you will receive a letter stating your gender marker has been changed and you must surrender your now old birth certificate. Do not worry, it was already surrendered as it was needed for the name change too and should’ve been sent. You will also receive one from Ottawa about your criminal record check and they will send you a copy of whatever the RCMP or whoever did your fingerprints sent them. After about 10-15 weeks you will receive your Change of Name certificate and your new birth certificate, this is important as you’ll need it to update your IDs. With it will also be a list of everything that will need to be updated afterwards. I am updating my IDs first as everything else will require updated ID.
It is a lot of work but it is so 100% worth it! I hated having to explain why my ID said I was female when the photo clearly had a man on it. I also hated having my full deadname be displayed on my Paypal when dealing with commissions. It’s so freeing not having that burden anymore. I hope this was helpful and if anyone has any questions do feel free to ask :)

How Real-Time Tracking and Payment Gateways Boost User Experience in Food Delivery Apps
When I think about what makes a food delivery app truly successful, it all comes down to one thing: user experience. We live in a world where people want everything fast, easy, and reliable—especially when it comes to food. And trust me, I’ve seen how just two features—real-time tracking and smooth payment gateways—can completely transform the way customers interact with an app.
If you’re a restaurant owner, a small business, or an enterprise looking to expand into the delivery game, let me show you why these features are a must—and why working with a reliable food delivery app development company in Dubai is the key to getting it right.
The Power of Real-Time Tracking
Let’s start with real-time tracking. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve ordered food and anxiously stared at my phone, wondering where my meal is. But then I used apps with live tracking and suddenly, the experience felt more transparent and stress-free.
Here’s why it’s a game-changer for your customers:
Peace of Mind: Users can see exactly where their order is—from the restaurant to their doorstep.
Fewer Support Calls: When people can track their own orders, they don’t have to call your team for updates.
Better Trust: Transparency builds trust. If there’s a delay, your customer sees it and understands what’s happening in real-time.
When I decided to build a food delivery platform, I knew real-time GPS tracking wasn’t just a nice-to-have—it was essential. That’s why I chose to hire food delivery app developers in Dubai who could integrate accurate, reliable tracking that worked seamlessly across driver and customer apps.
The Importance of Seamless Payment Gateways
Now let’s talk money. If the checkout process is clunky or slow, customers bounce. Simple as that. The way people pay should feel effortless, secure, and flexible.
From my experience, these are the top features that make a big impact:
Multiple Payment Options: Credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cash on delivery—you’ve got to offer it all.
One-Click Checkout: Returning users love speed. Saving their info for faster repeat orders can boost loyalty.
Secure Transactions: Your users need to feel that their data and money are safe with you.
When I worked with a food delivery app development company in Dubai, they made sure to integrate reliable payment gateways with strong security protocols and a user-friendly interface. And honestly, that made all the difference in user satisfaction and order conversions.
Why This Matters to Your Business
If you want your food delivery app to succeed in Dubai’s competitive market, these two features—real-time tracking and smooth payments—aren’t optional. They are foundational. They create the kind of experience that keeps users coming back, builds your reputation, and sets you apart from competitors still relying on outdated systems.
And here’s the thing—getting it done right means working with experts. When you hire food delivery app developers in Dubai, make sure they understand the local market and user behavior. I found that having a team who could advise me, build the tech, and offer support post-launch was a huge win.
Final Thoughts
At the end of the day, customers don’t just want food—they want a smooth, transparent, and enjoyable experience from start to finish. Real-time tracking makes them feel in control. Seamless payments make them feel secure and valued.
So, if you’re planning to launch your own app or upgrade an existing one, do it right. Partner with a top-tier food delivery app development company in Dubai and make sure real-time tracking and modern payment gateways are part of your blueprint.
Because when your app delivers more than just food—it delivers confidence, convenience, and delight—that’s when your business really takes off.

10 Ways to Fix Android Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi But Says Saved
Is Your Wi-Fi Playing Hide and Seek?
Encountering the frustrating “Android Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi But Says Saved” error can leave you wondering: “Why is my Wi-Fi saved but not connected?” This issue is more common than you think, and it can be baffling when your trusted network is visible, marked as “Saved,” but simply won’t connect.
In this article, we’ll explore ten effective solutions to fix this problem. Whether you’re dealing with a minor glitch or an in-depth settings issue, these steps will guide you to a resolution. Let’s dive in and restore your seamless Wi-Fi connectivity.
Why Is My Wi-Fi Saved But Not Connected?
When your Android device marks a network as "Saved" but refuses to connect, it could stem from several causes: incorrect passwords, router issues, outdated drivers, or even system glitches. This article answers the question: “Why is my Wi-Fi saved but not connected?” and provides actionable solutions.
1. Verify Wi-Fi Network Availability
Start by ensuring the Wi-Fi network is functioning correctly. Check if other devices can connect to the same network. If they can’t, restart the router or contact your internet service provider (ISP). A malfunctioning router is often the root cause of the issue.
2. Double-Check Wi-Fi Password
A common reason why your Android device might say "Saved" but fail to connect is an incorrect password.
Re-enter the password carefully.
Ensure there are no typos, and pay attention to capitalization, special characters, or spaces.
3. Forget and Reconnect
Forgetting the network and reconnecting can refresh your connection.
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
Tap on the problematic network.
Select Forget or Remove Network.
Reconnect by selecting the network and entering the correct password.
4. Restart Your Android Device
Sometimes, all it takes is a simple restart. Restarting your device clears temporary glitches that might be preventing your phone from connecting to Wi-Fi.
Turn off your phone.
Wait a few seconds.
Turn it back on and reconnect to the network.
5. Clear Network Settings
Persistent issues may require clearing network settings:
Open Settings.
Navigate to System or System & Updates.
Select Reset Options.
Choose Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile, and Bluetooth.
Note: This will delete all saved Wi-Fi networks. Be ready to reconnect manually.
6. Update Wi-Fi Drivers or Router Firmware
Outdated software can cause connectivity issues.
For Android devices: Check for system updates under Settings > Software Update.
For routers: Access the router’s admin panel and look for firmware updates. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to apply updates.
7. Toggle Airplane Mode
Turning Airplane Mode on and off refreshes network connections.
Swipe down to access Quick Settings.
Tap the Airplane Mode icon to enable it.
Wait a few seconds, then disable it and try reconnecting to the Wi-Fi.
8. Disable Battery-Saving Modes
Battery-saving modes can limit network activities, causing connectivity issues.
Go to Settings > Battery.
Check if any power-saving features are enabled.
Disable them temporarily and try connecting to Wi-Fi again.
9. Reset Network Settings (iOS Equivalent)
If you manage multiple devices, including iOS, follow similar steps:
Navigate to Settings > General > Reset.
Choose Reset Network Settings.
