🧥 Lil'Update 🧥
Rescuing this 100% wool jacket, that was clearly donated because it shrunk/felted in the wash, has turned out so well. It's giving eastern European. It's giving Hobbit. So excited.

me like: i wonder what would happen if you tried to quilt partially/fully-felted roving to an outer cotton shell. like could you make weird hippie sweatpants or would getting the wool felted enough to be quiltable onto the cotton without an inner woven layer to sandwich it in place make it too not-fleecy to have the right feel. 🤔

ok, new project: a borrowed wool jumper came back clean but shrunk. i love the chestnut brown colour and the cable design .... so, I am on the hunt to find a fabric that i can line with when i convert it to a button front vest (or maybe just clasp as i don’t want to hand stitch a bunch of button holes!). the catcher is the turtle neck but maybe cut that in halfies for a stand up collar?

Another upcycled jacket from a few years back. A felted wool demon head on a wool blazer.
You will need: 1 wool or wool blend jacket. Felting needles. Wool fiber. Foam block. Wool wash. Water. Towel.
1) Find a wool or wool blend jacket with a felt texture, in at least 1 size larger than your usual size. I found mine from my mom’s closet. Avoid ones with a nap or loosely woven, they might work, but may shrink more unpredictably in the process. Avoid jackets with liners. Boiled wool jacket is a great option.
2) Find loose wool fiber. From unraveling existing felted wool items, felt fabric, or buy from craft stores.
3) Draft your design with chalk on back.
4) Use felting needle to start felting your loose wool into your draft lines. A stiff foam box on the back of the jacket will help flatten lose wool fiber on the other side. Find them in craft stores or in leftover package padding.
5) Occasionally use hot soapy water to knead on the needlefelted areas, this wet agitation will tighten the needlefelted areas and secure them more on the jacket. Focus on the new wool that’s needle felted on the jacket only. The needlefelted areas might shrink a bit onto itself and reveal gaps. Fill in the gaps with more needlefelted wool and repeat until the design is a little thick. This step will also allow the felted design on jacket to be washed with the jacket with less shrinkage in the future.
6) Wash the entire jacket with warm water and wool wash. Dry out the excess water with a towel by rolling the jacket up into a Kim op and squish it. Then flatten the jacket. Lay flat to dry.
7) You now have a good enough piece of wearable art to keep you warm and show off at family dinners, weddings, funerals, etc.
Tips:
- If you use a lighter color wool fiber than the jacket’s, the jacket could bleed color onto your added design.
- The last wash helps relax some uneven tension from the added design and its contact on the jacket. It may shrink the jacket a bit if it has never been washed before. Room temperature water and wool wash help reduce potential shrinkage.
- To further prevent shrinkage, “block” the jacket with sticks and pins. To give it a skeleton as it dries. Look up “how to block a sweater” for this optional step.

Oh my GOD this infuriates me. I thrift for wool sweaters to use in my upcycled clothing and I've gotten pretty good at being able to tell a sweater's fiber by sight alone. More and more often, lately, I will spot wool in a sweater and then scream internally when I read the garment tag and see that it's only a fraction of the fiber content.

What's up, I made a meme that I'm sure is extremely broad-audience and relatable

🧶 Weekly WIP 🧶
2023 Week 38
Here is everything I have been working on in the past week. 🧡
Tumblr media
🔸 PJ Alterations - I recently bought another amazing pair of Printfresh pajamas (in the print Unicorn's Garden - green) during their big end of summer sale. If you're a fancy PJ girlie (or a gorgeous maximalist print girlie) then save up and wait for their big bi-annual sales because these things are to die for. My one complaint with their button up tops is they have big floppy button plackets that basically require pressing if you don't want them to crumple up constantly. So with my new top I just did a quick little whip stitch to keep things in place.
Tumblr media
🔸 'It is Finished' Cross Stitch - Recently a friend of mine reached out and asked if I would teach her how to embroider. I figured that cross stitch was probably the best place to start since she's never really done any fiber crafts. I found this lovely little pattern on Etsy by 'A New Creation By Alison' and I thought it would be a great starter project since it is relatively small and only three colors.
Tumblr media
🔸 Woolen Sweater Alteration - I got this beautifully embroidered sweater at the thrift store a few years ago, and I finally decided that i would prefer if it was a sweater vest. So I trimmed off the sleeves, cut down the length to make it cropped, and then got scared of actually sewing it so I put it down for 6 months. haha Now that it is getting cold again I really want to finish it, so I pulled it out and I hope to get it finished in the next few weeks.
Tumblr media
🔸 Commissioned Beyoncé Tour Tank - Last by not least, this piece that I am making for a friend of mine who is going to the Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour. He wanted a top that evoked her custom Loewe bodysuit. Stretch fabrics are definitely outside of my wheelhouse (not to mention sequins) so this has been a really fun learning experience. I will probably have a dedicated post going into the details around the project.
🔸 Other Weekly WIPs:
Katuscia Tank - top half is mostly finished, I just need to add the straps. May not add the bottom panel as I am considering using this as a night shirt.
Medieval hood - fully finished other than the hem
Lillian suit jacket - need to purchase lining fabric and start on the mock-up
Happy sewing ✂️🧶✂️🧶,
Mrs. Crow

Eco-Friendly Fashion Revolution: How TET. Responsible Wear is Leading the Charge
Tumblr media
In a world where fast fashion is leaving an undeniable environmental footprint, consumers are demanding more from the brands they support. They want quality, sustainability, and ethical practices. TET. Responsible Wear is answering that call by leading an eco-friendly fashion revolution. Through our carefully curated collection of sweaters & knitwear for women, jumpsuits for women, and skirts for women, we are reshaping women’s fashion to prioritize the planet and people without compromising on style.
1. Sustainable Fabrics for a Greener Future
At the heart of TET. Responsible Wear’s eco-friendly revolution is our commitment to using sustainable fabrics. We recognize that traditional fabrics like polyester and conventional cotton contribute heavily to pollution, excessive water use, and the exploitation of natural resources. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to use organic, recycled, and low-impact materials.
Our collection of sweaters & knitwear for women is made from organic cotton, recycled wool, and other sustainable materials. These fabrics are not only environmentally friendly but also soft, breathable, and durable. Whether you’re looking for a cozy knit for the colder months or a lightweight sweater for layering, our products are designed to keep you stylish and comfortable while protecting the planet.
2. Timeless Designs for Lasting Style
Fast fashion trends come and go, but at TET. Responsible Wear, we believe that clothing should be built to last. One of the core principles of our eco-friendly approach is designing timeless pieces that remain fashionable season after season. This encourages slow fashion, a concept that advocates for fewer, better-quality pieces in your wardrobe.
Take our selection of jumpsuits for women, for example. Each jumpsuit is crafted with versatility in mind, allowing you to style it up or down depending on the occasion. With clean lines and classic cuts, our jumpsuits offer a sophisticated yet relaxed look that stands the test of time. By offering timeless pieces, we help reduce the cycle of disposable fashion, encouraging consumers to invest in clothes that they’ll cherish for years.
3. Ethical Production for a Fairer Fashion Industry
Sustainability isn’t just about the environment—it’s about people, too. At TET. Responsible Wear, we are committed to ensuring that everyone involved in our supply chain is treated fairly and with respect. We work with ethically certified factories that provide safe working conditions and fair wages to their employees.
This ethical approach extends across our entire collection, from our skirts for women to our blouses & tops online. By choosing TET. Responsible Wear, you’re not just investing in eco-friendly materials—you’re supporting a system that values human rights and fair treatment.
4. Low-Waste and Circular Fashion
One of the most pressing issues in fashion today is the massive amount of waste generated by discarded garments. To combat this, TET. Responsible Wear focuses on low-waste and circular fashion practices. We design our clothing with longevity and recyclability in mind, ensuring that every piece has a minimized environmental impact throughout its lifecycle.
When you buy skirts online or select from our range of dresses for women online, you’re supporting a brand that prioritizes reducing waste. Our clothing is designed to be worn repeatedly, and we encourage our customers to recycle or upcycle old pieces instead of discarding them. In the future, we aim to expand our circular initiatives to include clothing recycling programs, so you can feel good about where your clothes end up.
5. Transparency in Every Step
In a world of greenwashing, transparency is crucial. At TET. Responsible Wear, we are dedicated to being completely open about our practices, materials, and production methods. We believe consumers have the right to know where their clothes come from, how they’re made, and the impact they have on the environment.
Each product in our collection, whether it’s a Floral Luna Puff Dress or a cozy knit sweater, comes with detailed information about the materials used, the production process, and the factory conditions. By offering this level of transparency, we hope to build a deeper connection with our customers and show that eco-friendly fashion is achievable without compromise.
6. Empowering Women Through Sustainable Fashion
Our commitment to sustainability extends to empowering women through fashion. At TET. Responsible Wear, we believe that women should feel confident in their clothing choices, knowing that they are making a positive impact. Our versatile and stylish pieces are designed to celebrate individuality while supporting a greater cause.
Whether you’re dressing up for an important event with one of our dresses for women online or opting for casual chic with one of our jumpsuits for women, our clothes are meant to make you feel powerful and proud. Knowing that your fashion choices are contributing to a more sustainable world can enhance your confidence and sense of purpose.
7. Sustainable Packaging and Shipping
The fashion industry’s environmental impact doesn’t end with the clothing itself. Packaging and shipping are also significant contributors to pollution and waste. At TET. Responsible Wear, we’ve taken steps to reduce our carbon footprint by using sustainable packaging made from recycled and biodegradable materials. We also employ eco-friendly shipping practices to ensure that your clothing reaches you with minimal environmental impact.
This focus on sustainability extends to every part of our business, so when you buy dresses online or shop for blouses & tops online, you can feel good about the packaging your clothes arrive in. Every detail matters in the eco-friendly revolution, and we are committed to making sustainable choices at every step.
8. Inspiring Change and Setting Trends
At TET. Responsible Wear, we understand that true change comes from inspiring others. We strive to set trends in the fashion industry, not just through our designs but through our values. By showing that eco-friendly fashion can be stylish, accessible, and high-quality, we hope to lead the charge in a broader movement toward sustainability.
Our sweaters & knitwear for women, jumpsuits for women, and skirts for women are examples of how fashion can be both beautiful and ethical. As more consumers embrace eco-conscious clothing, we believe that the fashion industry will continue to evolve in a more sustainable direction.
Conclusion: A Fashion Revolution with a Purpose
At TET. Responsible Wear, we are proud to be part of the eco-friendly fashion revolution. Through sustainable fabrics, timeless design, ethical production practices, and transparency, we are redefining what it means to be a responsible fashion brand. From our dresses for women online to our cozy sweaters & knitwear for women, every piece in our collection is designed with the planet and people in mind.

Fall Fashion Trends: What’s Hot This Season
Tumblr media
As the leaves begin to turn and the air becomes crisp, it’s time to update your wardrobe with the latest fall fashion trends. This season brings a delightful mix of classic styles and bold statements that are sure to elevate your autumn look. Whether you’re preparing for cozy weekends at the countryside or stylish evenings in the city, here’s a roundup of what’s hot this fall.
1. Chunky Knits and Sweaters
Nothing says fall like wrapping yourself in a warm, oversized sweater or chunky knit. This season, oversized silhouettes are particularly popular, offering both comfort and style. Look for sweaters in rich autumnal hues like mustard yellow, deep burgundy, and forest green. Pair them with your favorite jeans or layer over a midi skirt for a chic contrast of textures.
2. Statement Outerwear
Outerwear takes center stage this fall with statement coats and jackets. Embrace the drama with a long, tailored wool coat in a classic plaid pattern or opt for a faux fur coat for a touch of luxury. Belted coats are also making a comeback, cinching the waist and adding structure to your ensemble. For those seeking a more casual vibe, consider a quilted jacket or a shearling-lined coat for both warmth and style.
3. Elevated Loungewear
The trend of comfortable yet stylish loungewear continues this fall, perfect for those who appreciate a blend of coziness and sophistication. Look for loungewear sets in luxurious fabrics like cashmere or velour, featuring relaxed silhouettes and subtle detailing. Pair loungewear separates with statement accessories or outerwear for an effortlessly chic look that transitions from home to outings with ease.
4. Rich Textures
Texture plays a crucial role in fall fashion, adding depth and visual interest to your outfits. Velvet remains a perennial favorite, appearing in everything from dresses to accessories. Corduroy is another texture to watch out for, offering a retro vibe that’s both cozy and chic. Incorporate these textures into your wardrobe through blazers, skirts, or even footwear to add a touch of opulence to your fall ensemble.
5. Vintage-Inspired Accessories
Accessories are key to completing any fall look, and this season’s focus is on vintage-inspired pieces that exude timeless elegance. Think structured handbags in rich leather or crocodile patterns, reminiscent of old money aesthetic sophistication. Oversized sunglasses with bold frames and classic shapes also make a statement, offering both style and UV protection during those crisp autumn days.
6. Earthy Tones
While fall often brings to mind deep jewel tones, this season’s color palette also embraces earthy hues that reflect the changing landscape. Shades like terracotta, camel, and olive green dominate, offering a warm and grounded feel to your wardrobe. Mix and match these tones for a cohesive look or use them as accents to complement richer colors like navy or plum.
7. Tailored Pieces with a Twist
For those who prefer a more tailored aesthetic, fall fashion offers plenty of options with a modern twist. Look for blazers and trousers in unexpected colors or patterns, such as pinstripes or houndstooth. These pieces can be styled for both casual and professional settings, offering versatility and sophistication. Pair a structured blazer with jeans and ankle boots for a polished daytime look or layer over a slip dress for evening elegance.
8. Sustainable Fashion Choices
As awareness of environmental impact grows, sustainable fashion choices are becoming increasingly popular. This fall, look for brands that prioritize eco-friendly materials and ethical production practices. Opt for pieces made from organic cotton, recycled fabrics, or upcycled materials. Investing in timeless pieces that are well-made and responsibly sourced not only benefits the planet but also ensures longevity in your wardrobe.
9. Modern Heritage
Drawing inspiration from classic styles and heritage designs, modern heritage pieces blend tradition with contemporary sensibilities. Look for items like tweed blazers, tartan skirts, or cable-knit sweaters updated with modern cuts or unexpected details. These pieces offer a nod to the past while remaining relevant and stylish in today’s fashion landscape.
10. Footwear Trends
Fall footwear trends embrace both practicality and style. Chunky boots continue to reign supreme, whether in ankle boot or knee-high styles, providing comfort and a touch of edge to any outfit. Loafers and brogues are also making a comeback, offering a sophisticated alternative for those seeking a polished yet comfortable option. Consider pairing ankle boots with midi skirts or dresses for a trendy silhouette that transitions effortlessly from day to night.
In conclusion, this fall’s fashion trends offer something for everyone, from cozy knits and statement outerwear to vintage-inspired accessories and sustainable choices. Whether you’re drawn to rich textures and earthy tones or prefer modern twists on classic pieces, there’s ample opportunity to express your personal style while staying on-trend. Embrace the season’s offerings, experiment with new looks, and elevate your wardrobe with pieces that reflect your individuality and flair.
Remember, fashion is not just about following trends but about expressing yourself authentically through what you wear. So, whether you’re embracing the old money aesthetic with structured handbags or opting for sustainable fashion choices, let your fall wardrobe reflect your unique style journey this season.
