having been a swiftie™️ for years and a grammy’s watcher since red era I have made and confirmed the observation that the public opinion shift is like clockwork hinged on the grammy’s and despite taylor acting the same every year the difference between “she’s so annoying and extra” and “she’s so funny and relatable” is always whether or not she gets an aoty that year we know the gp hates seeing her succeed and loves her when she’s on a downward slope (in terms of awards, girlie is happier than ever and i love this) but that aoty is always the difference and I guarantee if she’d won anything for ttpd the gp would be tearing apart everything she did and said but now she’s gonna be on an upward trend in public opinion where liking her becomes acceptable again until ts12 starts to get Grammy consideration

gahhhh the last few weeks I have been starving for fics or art where Aziraphale is clearly, legitimately fat (with adoring attention paid to his physical features which are associated with said fatness) and also clearly, legitimately loved ("desired" would be okay but oh give me cherished, give me treasured and held dear and, again, adored)

Engaging with fandom stuff has just kinda been tough this past month especially

I can’t believe it took me so long for it all to really set in how much fandom culture and such has changed and just how negative it’s become, and it’s been starting to take a huge toll on me. I’ve been really discouraged from drawing stuff lately because of it

That’s neither here nor there, though, I’m going to see if I can’t bounce back by just stepping away from internet spaces and focusing on drawing and such instead

I’m still going to see if I can’t continue my comic, I’ve worked too hard to let it fall into nothingness now, I’ve written too much story, thought about it too much, etc

I’ll still be uploading art and such but scrolling and looking at other stuff is a no go for the time being

i think viruses are very lovely things and i like them a lot!! of course i'm not an expert on them, but i'll list some resources if you want to learn more!!

first of all, the post is right about the fact that viruses aren't alive. but also, can we appreciate that first? even if they were only bad (which they aren't), they aren't alive and have no cognizance of doing any bad. isn't it cool that these things can even exist, and not only exist, but affect all living organisms?

which can actually be a very good thing! while the post says that their only purpose is to fuck with us, that's not true at all! not only are they incapable of ill-intent, but also in a lot of ways they are extremely beneficial to us! (and there are sooo many viruses that are in our body that don't do anything at all to us!)

because they affect every organism, and viruses are everywhere, it affects things that are harmful to us. we have a gut biome filled with viruses in a similar way it's filled with bacteria.

which means, while there are viruses that negatively affect us, there are many that aid us by killing bad bacteria! if we didn't have viruses there might be an overabundance of well, everything. i dont think we'd be here without them

they don't always kill mindlessly either, otherwise they wouldn't have something to keep them replicating. this Kurzgesagt video goes more in depth about it, and they link their sources! i'll also link a lecture about it if you're interested!
