﹙𝓲ssue﹚ㅤ:ㅤ“is your girlfriend single?”ㅤ...ㅤ( 엔하이픈 )
ㅤㅤ﹙1214﹚ ㅤ장르 fluff, humour est. relㅤㅤwarnings light kissing, slight jealousyㅤㅤᐢᗜᐢ didn't turn out how i wanted these to be but hope you like them nonetheless >< happy reading and pls rb & leave feedback iNDEX
HEESEUNG
you were out with him and his friend group when the question suddenly pops up, asked by one of his friends who definitely meant it in a fun and joking way, however the frown on your boyfriend's face proves he didn't like it.
it takes him a good few seconds to comprehend the question before he hears you stifle a laugh. he looks at his friend, scoffing bitterly, raising his brows mockingly. “is my girl single?”
“dude it's a jo—”
he huffs before his hands cup your cheeks and make him look at you, pressing his lips against yours for a few seconds to get the point across. “no, she's not.” he speaks with a slight nod, trying to look modest even though there's a smug smile on his lips. “and don't ask stupid questions.”
JONGSEONG
he's confused, for the most part. his eyes refuse to leave the phone screen, going over and over the caption of your post— anniversary post, clearly written down below the pictures where you are sitting on his lap with a cake and he's kissing your cheeks.
‘happy three years to us. i love you, my love’
“are they stupid?” he asks bluntly, looking at you with his mouth agape. everything in that post makes it obvious that you are definitely not single.
“it's most likely a joke, baby,” you say, leaning against his arms with a pout, wishing he would just let it go and pay attention to you. “don't mind them,”
he nods at your words absentmindedly, brows still furrowed at the screen. you roll your eyes, pulling his arms to lay him back on the bed. he quickly sends a ‘no.’ for a reply before putting his phone aside and getting back to you, hovering over you while he has you pinned down, planting a soft kiss on your neck. “you're all mine, yeah?”
JAEYUN
brows furrows, head tilted slightly to the left, eyes wide open in half confusion half surprise. he doesn't understand why anyone would ask that question, because it sounds stupid as hell. “huh?”
“i asked if your girlfriend is single,” the person asks again and you laugh under your breath, knowing that they're probably just pulling their leg.
“she's my soulmate, the love of my life, my other half, anything— but single,” and he knows he's being a bit too much he jake wants to show you off and also make it clear that you're most definitely off the markets.
“jake, that's enough—”
“no? why are they asking if you're single when we're literally walking hand in hand?” continues to explain it to you why that was such a rhetorical question even after that person leaves, doesn't let go your hands until you get home. “should we take a few couple pics to post them, hm?”
SUNGHOON
mad as hell, gives them the most deadpan face ever. well, he introduced you as his dear girlfriend the minute you two walked in through the doors of the restaurant for the highschool reunion.
“she wouldn't date you even if she was,” says with his eyes looking at them up and down with displeasure written on his face clearly. he's not having any of it.
he has his hand on your thigh the whole time you two are at the reunion, giving it soft caresses and light squeezes, never missing a chance to compliment you or even flirt with you when you two have been dating for over a year now.
and when you try to remove his hand or something, he pulls you even closer, mostly because he's enjoying your flustered face. “it's so hard having a beautiful girlfriend,”
SUNOO
it's so serious for him, he's shooting daggers with his eyes, annoyance clearly written on his face. it doesn't escape his gaze how the guy in front of him is checking you out, even though while being subtle about it.
“of course, not. she's with me, can't you see?” it's a sharp reply that clearly shuts them off, and sunoo rolls his eyes, turning his attention back onto you.
you chuckle under your breath, but also composing yourself as you link your arms with him as you two walk away from them. “hey, don't you think that was too much?”
and he laughs softly, leaning his face down to plant a feathery kiss on your cheeks, looking at you with a slight grin. “well, they shouldn't have asked such a stupid question then,”
JUNGWON
he immediately goes silent when he sees that question in the comments of his vlog with you, shooting question marks to the screen with his stares, the embodiment of ‘does anyone else find this weird :/’
“ah, if yn is single?” words actually trail off as soon as they dance out of his mouth while tries to process the question. is it a joke? are they being serious? he doesn't know. “uh, i don't think she is since we're dating. . .?”
he's stuttering and you're next to him, hiding your face while suppressing your laughter because he's so adorable. “wonnie, i'm pretty sure they were just teasing you,”
“ah, okay,” he nods in realisation, chuckling awkwardly while looking at the screen in silence for a few seconds before adding. “we're not entertaining any more questions about yn,”
NI-KI
he shrugs and stuffs his hands in the pockets of his pants, giving them a blank look as if he doesn't know a thing. he cocks his head in your direction, asking cluelessly. “are you single?”
and you shoot him a confused look, blinking blankly as you point your index finger at yourself. “me?”
“who else?”
you continue to look at him in confusion, turning your gaze to your classmate before it lands back on your boyfriend. “i'm dating you, how would i be single?”
riki immediately turns his head to your poor classmate, the smug smile never leaving his face as he shakes his head. “she's not,” and then he simply puts his arms over your shoulders, pulling you flush against him and walks past them, without sparing another glance.

Chapter 62: Born to be Wild
Wednesday 12th, 1977 - 08:20 AM
“So? You think she’s too hurt?” you asked as you leaned over the Slytherin table.
“You said she crashed on the floor and rolled a couple of times, yeah?” Solacis asked. He was the one person you knew had a lot of knowledge of owls, so you had gone to him as soon as he appeared at the door.
“Yeah, she was trying to crash onto me, but I got out of the way.”
“And she bit you?”
“But that’s been taken care of,” you said reassuringly. “I’m worried about her, though. She was stunned. I don’t think James used much strength but–”
“But she’s way smaller than a human,” Solacis nodded. Nieve was still asleep, but she stirred as Solacis extended her wing to check on her. His delicate pale hands were softly touching her feathers when Nox and Regulus arrived at the table.
“Hey, Vix,” Nox said. He’d heard Prongs calling you that one day and it had stuck.
Reggie said your name quietly with a nod and sat down beside you. You hadn’t had a proper talk since that day, and something told him that then wouldn’t be a good moment to do it either. “How are you?”
“Good,” you replied with a genuine smile, he could tell. “You?”
He smiled, although it seemed like it was hard for him to do it, “Yeah, that too.”
Nox and Solacis were talking about the owl while you looked at him with a bit of a frown. He cleared his throat and handed you a piece of bread. You knew he was trying to divert the attention from it, he probably couldn’t talk about it there. “I’ll see you later about that homework, yeah?”
“What homework?” Nox asked, clearly worried he’d forgotten his own.
“Reggie’s gonna help me with something,” you excused and then turned to Solacis. “Is she okay?”
“She’ll be all right,” he reassured you. “Mix some Boswelia and Chamomile with her food, and keep an eye on her. She’ll be like new in a few days. I think she just took a bad hit, but she won’t be able to fly for a while. So if you need to take a message somewhere I suggest you use your other owl.”
“Right, will do,” you said with a smile. “Thanks, Sol, I owe you one.”
“You can pay back by not being so savage next time we play quidditch.”
“Oh, no, you’d have to pick something else,” you added with a smirk and a wink.
“Indeed, you have to practise more, Solacis, not get your opponents to go easier on you,” Dorcas said as she sat right in front of them. “Nice to see you, Luv.”
“Same,” you smiled as you stood. “I better get to my table before I’m called a house traitor.”
“I think you should just change your robes to green and join us.”
“I could make room for you in my chambers,” Dorcas offered with a smirk.
“And have to share a common room with Snivellus? No, thank you!” you joked. Dorcas cackled while the others laughed, even if a little more discreetly. Severus, who wasn’t that far off, threw you an angry look, which you noticed out of the corner of your eye. Even Barty was concealing a smile as Evan told Severus something related to their homework. You smiled and picked Nieve from their table carefully. “Thanks again,” you told Solacis with a smile and walked back to your table with the owl in your hands.
“How did it go?” Remus asked.
“Great, I know what plants I should feed her… Mind coming with me to the herbology classroom later?”
“Sure,” he retorted with a smile. “Perhaps after the thing.”
“What thing?” Asked Marlene as she leaned towards you.
“Oh, just a thing,” you retorted, making it sound as casual as possible. “Nothing to worry about.”
“Don’t tell me you’ve gotten yourself involved in another Marauder’s prank? Last time we lost James and Sirius in the game, and we’re playing Slytherin again, we’ll need James! Regulus has been practising since you beat him to the snitch.”
“I’d never do such a thing,” you said as you looked at Remus, complicity dancing in both gazes. “Quidditch comes first, pranks come later,” you added resolutely.
“Aye!” James said as he took a bite from his toast. Lily, who was sitting beside him, rolled her eyes and handed him a napkin since he’d gotten crumbs all over his face.
Breakfast came and went without much more eventualities. Peter didn’t wake up in time but you saved some food for him and handed it over when he caught up with you on your way to charms after you went back to your room to leave Nieve in a small heap of pillows.
“Thanks, Vixen,” he said as he took out the sandwich from its napkin. “And it’s roast beef with brown sauce!” He said after he gave it a bite. “Brilliant!”
“No problem,” you said with a simple shrug.
By the time you arrived at your classroom, the five of you were beaming with the excitement of the imminent prank. Peter had gobbled the last half of his sandwich just before walking inside the classroom.
“That can’t be good for your health mate,” James said with a frown as he pointed at Peter.
The latter cleared his throat before retorting “Shut up, Prongs!”
“Just looking out for you,” James said as he raised his hands in surrender. “I think you’re going back to nervous eating. You know your mum told me that–”
“James!” he complained now, motioning to the fact that there were plenty of people around. James didn’t know why it was such an issue for Peter to talk about it but didn’t press further. Peter, on the other hand, hated the idea of talking about his food issues in front of people, especially in front of Sirius and Remus who seemed to be so fit without putting any effort into it –according to him. Sirius literally did quidditch every morning with you and James. And while Remus didn’t do anything special, he did do a freaking intense amount of exercise whenever he was a wolf, not to mention he often took walks around the school when he wanted to be alone.
“Sorry, sorry,” James retorted. “We’ll talk about it later.”
Peter tried not to roll his eyes as he rushed inside the classroom.
Professor Flitwick was already inside the classroom, standing at his little podium like he often would during classes, you smiled and nodded his way as you walked inside along with the boys. As you were walking to sit next to Remus (as you usually did on Charms), Lily pulled you from her spot near the front and had you sit beside her.
“You’re not going anywhere,” she told you as you fell onto the chair. Remus threw you a questioning look and you shrugged in response. When Sirius realised Remus wouldn’t be sitting with you, he went straight to take your normal spot and sent you a daring sort of gaze, as if to show off the fact that he was sitting next to Rem instead of you.
“Are you even listening to me?” Lily asked as she shook you by the shoulder.
“Yes, sorry,” you replied as you turned to her, “you said we had to hand in an essay today but you totally forgot about it.”
“And you forgot it too, you dumbass, I’ve checked your notes,” she said as she pointed at the pile of papers you had now left on the table, including a few scrolls and a notebook, the essay was nowhere in sight.
“I didn’t forget,” you said with a smile.
“Well it’s not here either,” she said as she moved your papers around again.
“No, I just didn’t do it.”
“You what?” she asked in shock. You had been in study club since the start, and you had always handed in your homework on time. In fact, she thought you were as dedicated as her, if perhaps a little more relaxed.
You smirked. “You really shouldn’t worry so much. For one, I’m sure Flitwick would forgive and forget if one of his favourite students forgot to bring their homework. Two, I have the feeling everyone’s gonna forget about the homework in a few minutes.”
“Oh no, the toads,” she whispered, the grip on her wand tightened. “You know, I blame you for forgetting it, I spent all of last night looking up spells in case of an emergency.”
“Oh, that’s so not on me,” you retorted with a smile.
“Welcome, welcome,” Flitwick said, voice slightly louder than it had been previously. “I hope you all had an excellent Christmas break…”
You tried not to think too much of your Christmas break, although there had definitely been some a few –although very few– things that you would have considered excellent from the tumultuous time the past few weeks had been for you.
“… today we’re going to be looking at complex charms combinations. Does anybody know what charm combining consists of?”
Lily and Remus raised their hands. You would have raised yours as well but decided to let either of them answer instead.
“Miss Evans,” Flitwick said as he pointed at her with his wand.
“Combining spells consists of taking the main properties of two or more spells and weaving them together to create a new spell that either does both things or something slightly different.”
“And what’s a good example?”
Lily frowned and licked her lips as she thought of an answer, and then she smiled. “Lumus Solem,” she said. “It combined the brightness of Lumus with the heat and rays of the sun. If done without care it can be extremely dangerous due to radiation.”
Flitwick smiled, seemingly satisfied at her answer. “Precisely–” he started but got interrupted by a boy who raised her hand and spoke before being indicated.
“Can Lumus really be dangerous?” he asked.
“Certain variations of the spell definitely can. A potent enough Lumos could blind you either temporarily or permanently. Lumos Solem, has been used as a torture device in the past as well. Long exposure has been known not only to cause severe dehydration but even grade 3 sunburns–”
Flitwick was interrupted yet again, this time by a girl’s shriek You turned to the source of the scream with the most surprised face you could pull off.
“What’s with this fuss?” he asked in a rather stern tone. Flitwick didn’t get angry very often, but he’d gotten interrupted twice already and he really didn’t appreciate being interrupted.
“Toads, Professor,” replied the same boy from before.
“Excuse me?”
“There are many of them,” added another girl who was moving her feet out of the way. The students in the back had were already getting on their seats.
“Please sit down,” the small professor said as he shook his head in exasperation. From his position, he couldn’t quite see the tsunami of toads that was about to reach him. Besides, he quite liked toads, after all, he was planning to reopen the Frog Choir that had been lost after 1959 when Professor Marcus Bonnknott passed away.
Filius had only heard them play a few times during his first and second years in Hogwarts, and he was very upset when the choir died along with Marcus, who he thought was fascinating. It was in fact, because of said professor that he had gotten himself into music after graduating and before being offered the Charms Teacher position by Dombuldore in the early 70s.
But neither of the students seemed to listen, which obviously exasperated him and forced him to walk down from his podium only to see a small toad jumping his way. He leaned down and picked it up carefully. “Is this little guy the one causing you to leave your seats so hastily?”
“No, Professor,” said Imgoen as she shook her head. “It’s the amount of them.”
By then both you and Lily had gotten over your seats and were currently sitting on the table. What could only be described as a herd of toads was approaching the front of the room. The stone floor of the classroom turned green and brown as the toads jumped around, trying to find some space within the now swampy water running from the end of the classroom.
Lily threw you a look and you just shrugged as you straightened up and looked at the mess you’d created along with the boys.
“Oh Dear, quite a catastrophe, I see,” said Flitwick as he took his wand out and waved it in the air. With a swish and a flick, about a hundred toads were lifted from the ground and started floating above everyone.
“Ugh… that’s gross,” said a Hufflepuff boy as he nudged one of the toads further from his face using his wand.
“Please refrain from touching the animals,” Flitwick said as he threw the boy a stern look.
Another girl had picked a salt shaker from her bag and was diligently throwing it around her.
“What do you think you’re doing, Miss Griffith?”
“Salt will make them squirm, I’m keeping them away from me,” she said urgently as she continued, even if none of the frogs seemed to mind.
“That’s with slugs, you dumbass,” retorted Tom with a cackle. He’d been sitting next to her because after Lily pulled you to sit beside her, the normal sit arrangement had been skewed and his place –next to Beth– had been taken by Marlene.
“Shut up,” the girl said as she continued throwing salt.
Peter was laughing as he stared until a toad got on his feet and he shook it off with a short scream as he also got on top of the table.
James, Sirius and Remus were definitely enjoying the absolute chaos as they all stood at their desks, they didn’t even bother to sit on them and looked riddicolously tall in comparison to Flitwick which just made the whole scene all the more amusing.
“Please, calm down,” Flitwick said, as he managed to lift a few more toads into the air. All of them with their small legs extended and looking as confused as you’d imagine a flying toad would. And then another swamp bomb fell to the floor, the water level increased and tons of toads started appearing. “Goodness,” he said as another bomb fell from the other side of the classroom.
Lily had her wand up in the air as she stared at the toads with a “ready to attack” sort of gaze and you suppressed a smile as some other students were already using protection spells around themselves and keeping them up as the toads walked past the feet of the chairs and table.
“All right, perhaps we should exit the classroom instead,” he said as he tried to lift some of the toads that had just appeared along with the others. “Please form a careful line and–”
It was useless, the moment he said they could leave, most students bolted towards the exit like runaway horses, pushing each other while trying to keep themselves as far away as possible from the toads, which was pretty much impossible, since they were all over the floor, not to mention everyone’s pants and socks were now pretty wet with murky water.
Lily sighed and took out her wand. “Bufonem repelleare,” she said and waved her wand around her shoes, as she placed her feet on the murky water, the toads seemed to form a circle around her, as if avoiding her entirely.
Beth gasped as she pointed at her, “Lily, come and save me!” She said as she pointed at her feet, which got some other students staring quite impressed at her.
“Masterful use of spell combination, Miss Evans,” said Flitwick as he pointed at her and continued to move the toads as far away from the students as it was possible for him to do.
“You’re coming?” Lily asked as she offered you her hand.
“Don’t worry, I’ve got an escape my plan for myself prepared,” you told her with a wink, and as she walked towards Beth you finally got on the table. Your seat was rather close to the windows, and the door was on the other side, which meant you had quite a walk to make before exiting the toadtrap you had created; but you weren’t looking forward to getting your feet wet, let alone your socks, which Lily had taken in as a necessary evil.
You stood on the chair and then on your table, and from there, you jumped to the table in front of it, the students there were already outside of the classroom, and then you jumped towards the table next to it. The boys, upon seeing what you did, were now imitating you. And they were much faster since they had longer legs.
By the time you got to the third row of seats, Remus was standing on the desk right in front of yours and Sirius was right next to it. You raised your eyebrows at the boy in front of you and he smiled, placing one hand behind his back and extending the other towards you, “Allow me, my lady,” he said in the noblest of tones.
You chuckled under your breath as you diverted your gaze to hide the smile you just couldn’t keep away from your lips at this point. He really had read an excessive amount of romance books.
“Kind Sir,” you said as you took his hand, not because you needed his hand to cross to the other side, but because you wanted to hold his hand. It was a simple gesture and helped you stand right next to him.
“Oh Moony, you’ll make me jealous,” Sirius teased. “How come she’s getting preferential treatment?”
It was the smirk on Sirius’ lips that told the both of you that he was just teasing. “It’s all right Puppy, I’ll help you to the other side.” You extended your hand towards him and he used it to jump onto the same table in which the two of you were standing. Now the three of you were stupidly close to each other, not that either of you cared.
There was a short exchange of glances between the three before Moony jumped to the next table and you followed shortly afterwards. But by the time you extended your hand for Sirius, you felt the table tremble underneath you, even if it was just for a second. You looked around, the feet to try and spot if there was something that was causing it, perhaps a toad that got stuck or something of the sort, but there seemed to be nothing happening down there. Sirius took your hand and jumped towards the two of you, but the second he landed next to you one of the legs gave out, and the three of you plummeted to the floor.
While the toads managed to escape being crushed by any of you three, you did not get away without being completely soaked in the swampy water.
You groaned, the water hadn’t done much to cushion the fall, and you and Sirius had been the ones to cushion most of it for Remus.
“Should have come with me,” Lily said as she shook her head and walked towards the door. While you were sore, you still had enough energy to lean your head towards her and pull out your tongue. She shook her head, clearly amused. “Suit yourself.”
You huffed and then let yourself rest back in the water. What does it matter at this point, it’s already soaked, you thought. A toad jumped closer to you and Sirius scared it away before it reached your fave.
“Sorry,” Remus muttered as he tried to get up since he’d fallen on top of both of you but his hand slipped and he ended up falling over the two again.
Sirius groaned and you let out a low “uff!”
“Sorry again,” Remus said hurriedly, trying not to think too much of how nice it felt to be that close to you, given the conditions around. Those being the fact that half of your heads were submerged in murky water and that the frogs now seemed to want to approach you.
“It’s all right, try slower this time,” you told him, offering your hand for some stability, when he finally got up from the floor he realised that most students –and the teacher– had already found a way out of the mess. Once he was up, he helped the both of you stand.
“They left us?” Sirius asked with a gasp. “We fell, and they left us!”
“Vixen stuck her tongue out at Lily,” Remus pointed out. “She would have probably waited.”
“Never mind Evans, It’s Prongs that offends me,” he added with a huff that made you chuckle.
What neither of you knew was that he had made that table fall and that he had left the three of you at your own luck in retaliation for the bomb that he had left in his pocket and that you had knowingly not warned him about. But he also thought the three of you could benefit from some time alone, so he was both, taking his revenge, and playing cupid.
You leaned your arm up towards you, smelled the sleeve of your sweater, and made a slightly disgusted face. “We stink now,” you said as you pulled it as far away from your face as possible. “How about you throw some relashio my way?”
Remus extended his wand towards you but Sirius was quicker and stopped him, “I’ve got a way better idea than that.”
“Sirius we’re not swimming on the black lake, I know you’ve wanted to do that all year, but it’s literally snowing out there, it’s a terrible idea.”
“Not that!” Sirius said as he shoved Remus. “It’s a great idea, I promise,” he added with his signature smirk and stepped forward, taking the lead. “Follow me, pretty things.”
“Did he just–” Remus said as he pointed at Sirius and turned to you.
“Yup,” you said with a nod. “You better get used to it,” you added before nodding your head to the side, inviting him to follow behind Sirius who was already near the door. At least the toads were kind enough to jump out of the way as you walked towards it.
The hall wasn’t much better either, some classrooms were still figuring their way out and their doors were crammed with people trying to leave, the stone was coated in a rather thin layer of water that only got more and more filled by the minute and everyone was trying to find somewhere safe.
“What is going on?” Someone shouted, tone laced with desperation as he had to turn to the side when he spotted another tramp of toads coming from the hallway he intended to take.
While in the world, “all roads lead to Rome” in Hogwarts, “all roads lead to the Great Hall” and you were counting on that to get most students in there, all for the sake of ending the prank with a cherry on top. But some students were already using their brooms and the windows to get out of the buildings and that would ruin the plan.
“Your idea’ll have to wait,” you told Sirius as you stepped forward. Thankfully just the right person was in sight. “Alex!” You said. “Alex Wood!”
The Hufflepuff head boy, who was riding his broom flew towards you, “Yeah?”
“They said we should go to the Great Hall,” you said. “That’s where all the students are going.”
It was luck, and perhaps your good student reputation, that made Alex nod almost instantly. “I’ll spread the word, thanks!” he added and took off, shouting to everyone on his way to walk towards the Great Hall.
You smiled as you saw him leave towards one side of the hall and you turned to the other, “We have to go to the Great Hall!” you shouted towards everyone and none in particular, “spread the word!”
The three of you continued walking towards the new direction and kept telling people they had to go, and since people recognized Remus as a Prefect, it was much easier to get them to follow the direction. By the time you reached the Great Hall, there were already other prefects helping everyone walk inside in a much more ordered manner than when they had left their classrooms. Students were walking towards their seats at the table, and the older students were using Lily’s spell to keep the frogs away from the door as everyone tried to walk inside.
You smiled, looking quite satisfied at the result of your little ruse, and also got in line, but this time Sirius pulled you out of the way. “Follow me, I know a better spot to enjoy the show,” he said with a smile. Remus probably already knew of said spot since he walked next to Sirius as if he too knew the way.
You followed the two of them down a set of stairs –spotting the kitchen entrance– and then a little further inside, where there was a rather large statue of a dragon who moved as if he were breathing. Sirius got up on the small pedestal where the dragon lay and Remus was behind him shortly after, yet again extending his hand for you to follow. You took his hand at once and he pulled you up with ease, not letting go of it even as you were fully there and giving you a reassuring squeeze as Sirius got even closer to the dragon. He crouched and walked inside the crevice left between the tail of the dragon and his head.
This time around you followed right after him and Remus was close behind. The statue wasn’t really designed to be walked behind, or at least it hadn’t been placed to be walked around, and therefore the spot behind it was slightly darker and a bit colder than the rest of the castle, as if the heating spells didn’t quite reach that spot.
Then Sirius walked towards a torch holder and pulled on it, a small passage opened underneath the spot where the dragon lay. You smiled and walked down the set of stairs alongside both boys. It was a small room, perhaps something like a broom closet, or a secret hideout for a treasure, but there was nothing inside other than a window that looked remarkably similar to the ones in the great hall but much smaller.
Sirius approached the window and fumbled with the latch for a few seconds before he managed to flip it open. The bitter cold flew in alongside a few snowflakes and Sirius climbed outside. Remus followed, sitting by the seal, his feet propped to the outside. But just before he jumped he turned to look at you.
You were looking at him from your spot, seeming somewhat hesitant of stepping out. He was about to speak, but Sirius beat him to it, pushing his head under Remus’ arm and leaning it near his ribs with a teasing grin. “You’re not scared, are you, Starshine?”
“Of course not!” you retorted. “ Just waiting for you boys to open up some space.” Sirius laughed while Remus jumped outside, you got on the seal seconds after.
Sirius smirked as he turned to Remus, who was wiping some snow from the back of his pants and shaking his head in disapproval, although he was still smiling. Once the three of you were outside, with the bitter cold making your wet clothes all the more uncomfortable, you figured out exactly where you’d be enjoying the spectacle from.
“You have to be kidding,” you said as you spotted the large windows of the great hall over a few feet of rock. “Is that where you were on the first day of the year?” you asked as you pointed towards some of the windows.
Sirius nodded in return, “Pretty cool, yeah?”
“You’re all deranged!” you retorted with an amused smile and walked through the snow and towards one of the windows. The end of the cliff wasn’t so stiff that it would be easy to fall, but if anyone did fall, then it would be nasty.
“Not more than you, Luv,” retorted Remus who was behind you in seconds.
Sirius had a small, rather proud smirk on his lips as he watched the two of you speed towards the window. “Watch your step, it can be slippery,” he warned.
“Who's the scared one now?” you asked as you turned to him with a teasing smirk, your hair flowing behind you while some bits of snow from the side of the rocks fell over it.
Once you reached the spot under the window you looked up. It was rather tall. At least a few feet above your head. Sure Sirius and Remus could reach the top by extending their hands, but your fingers barely reached the edge. Narutally, you started jumping to try and get your hands on the seal. Remus caught up with you a few seconds later. “Thought you were a fox, not a rabbit.”
You huffed, narrowing his eyes at him and turning back to the rocks. There was snow covering them, and you didn’t have your gloves around. Didn’t matter though, you tried to get a hold of one of the rocky edges to climb your way up, but they were stupidly slippery and you ended up slipping towards Sirius who caught you with ease and looked down on your pouty face with a wide smile.
“Are you done trying to do it by yourself?” he asked. You gave him a mouth twist in return. “Nous sommes une équipe, Starshine, don’t be afraid to ask for help.” He pressed a kiss to your forehead and pushed you to stand straight again.
You grumbled something intelligible as Sirius climbed his way up using a rather specific rock that they had charmed and that was slightly worn out as support, and once he was up he extended his hand while Remus linked both of his and extended them for you to use as a step on the way up. You hesitated, turning your gaze to the side before placing your foot between Rem’s hands, who pushed upwards and allowed you to reach Sirius’.
Once your elbows were on the bitter-cold stone of the seal, you managed to push yourself up the rest of the way. Rem used the same rock Sirius had to climb and in between you and Sirius pulled him the rest of the way up. Not that he needed the help, he would have done fine without it, but neither you nor Sirius would waste a chance to hold him close.
“Shouldn’t we use a disillusionment charm?” you asked as you leaned over the windows to see what was inside. “Shit it’s cold,” you added as you shivered. You’d taken your cloak off at the little room under the dragon but your pants and thick sweater were still pretty wet.
“Nah, they can’t see us,” Sirius said as Remus stood closer to you. He was the least wet of the three, coincidentally, his body heat was always warmer due to his furry little problem. “There are special charms on the windows so that the weather outside matches the one in the enchanted ceiling,” he waved through the window, “we’re virtually invisible.”
“Neat,” you said as you leaned your head on the window again, most students were now taking their seats. Professor McGonagall was helping some of the students accommodate their tables. Spellman was making sure all the Ravenclaws were all right alongside Flitwick who had been a Ravenclaw when he was a student, and Seraphina was making the Hufflepuffs do the same while forcing them into a neat line and counting through them.
“Where’s Dumbledore?” you asked with a frown.
“He is overseeing some plans with the order,” Sirius said. “Moody visited the Potters when we were about to leave for Kingscross. He said there was some urgent ‘Order’ business they had to oversee.”
“Order? Do you mean The Order of the Phoenix?”
“The what?”
“Ugh… never mind I’ll tell you about it later,” you said as you shrugged it off and pointed towards the Great Hall. Slughorn had walked towards the podium and seemed about ready to say something. “I think it’s about to happen,” you said.
Remus looked at you with a frown, still wondering what that was about before he too turned to look at the window. Slughorn seemed to be calming the students down, by giving some sort of speech. And then a screech so loud, that even the three of you heard, broke through his words.
“Oh, it is happening,” Sirius said, as he too stepped a little closer. Both boys were now practically glued to you and the window, which was at least helping the cold subdue, even if you still felt like the bottom of your clothes, where gravity had accumulated the water, was slowly freezing as well. Not to mention your back felt a little more cold than it should have. But then again, what was a little cold? You’d had much, much worse.
The girl jumped backwards as she screamed and fell on the floor as a bunch of toads started appearing from under her table. You saw Lily’s mane look around and fixate her gaze on James, she was clearly expecting the classroom and the rest of the hallway mess to be the end of it.
You chuckled as the toads from her table avoided her and jumped in all sorts of directions and towards the rest of the people. The funniest part was, that the toads were also shunning the entrance because they had used the toad-repelling charm all over it, so the more swamp bombs that exploded, the more frogs without anywhere else to go appeared.
McGonagall pressed her wand to her throat before speaking, loud, clear and in that same tone she used in class that was equally unwinding and terrifying. “Prefects, have your houses form a neat line and walk towards the courtyard. I believe it’s the only spot in the entire school not infested by toads at the present moment.”
You chuckled, and it wasn’t only after your laughter subdued that you noticed that were not only shivering because of the laughs, but also because of the cold. You sneezed.
“Bless you,” Said Remus almost automatically, and then pressed his hands to your face. “You’re freezing! Why didn’t you say anything?”
“I said it was cold!” you argued with a shrug and then crossed your arms over yourself.
“But you said it as a casual comment, not as ‘I’m freezing, let’s use a warming spell’ kind of way,” Sirius retorted.
You hummed in response. “Next time, I’ll make sure to sound extra dramatic when complaining about the cold,” you said sarcastically.
“Yeah, you better,” Sirius said as he jumped down from the little window bannister and nodded for you to do the same.
It was slightly awkward as you got down, but Sirius was there as you landed and he gave you a thumbs up as you wiped some of the snow that had gotten stuck in front of your trousers. Remus was down shortly after and the three of you walked inside the little room.
Sirius closed the window as soon as you were inside while Remus started with a simple warming spell. He leaned close to you, his wand slowly spreading heat on your back, causing the already-frozen bits of clothes to melt.
“Wait, it’s too hot,” you said, taking your sweater off almost in a second. You had a simple turtle neck shirt underneath, and while it wasn’t freezing anymore, it was still pretty wet.
“I mean you can continue taking your clothes off here, or we can go to that place I’ve been telling you about,” Sirius said with a smirk and both of you turned to him with a frown.
“Where exactly do you want us to go?” Remus asked.
“You’ll see when I take you,” he retorted as he tilted his head. “I think by now most students will be in the courtyard, what do you say?”
Remus swallowed, “Are you sure that’s a good idea?”
“All my ideas are great,” he retorted, “Right, Starshine?”
“Some have certainly been,” you retorted. “Besides at this point, anything that gets me off this stinkyness is good.”
Sirius’ smile widened and he gave you a wink before climbing up the stairs and both you and Remus followed closely behind him.
It had been a few minutes of you scurrying around the castle while trying to avoid being seen by any lost student, and the toads that were now all over the halls, jumping around freely.
Remus, who finally recognized the way you were taking gasped, “Sirius are we going to the–”
“Yes, don’t spoil it.”
Sirius had purposefully taken a tricky way there so neither of you realized where it was you were heading but Remus had figured it out anyway. You had a vague idea of where that might be but you weren’t sure, and you had never been there either, so even if it was where you thought it would be it was still a surprise.
You looked over a corner you were about to cross and instantly pulled back, grabbing onto Sirius’ shirt to stop him from stepping any further. You placed your hand over your lips and nodded. He looked at you with a frown, and you pointed at the corner.
Sr. Pendragon’s ghost was there, up in his horse and patrolling like the hallway was his own, even when his horse seemed to be much more entertained by the toads. He was comically jumping around while trying to avoid them (it didn’t seem to matter that being a ghost, he couldn’t touch them).
Sirius nodded as soon as he spotted him and took out his wand, but Moony beat the both of you by sending a spell towards one of the portraits on the other side of the hallway. The old man in the portrait started shouting silly complaints and screaming something about the toads attacking him.
“To the rescue!” Said Sir. Pendragon as he pulled on his horse’s reins to force him to move. Said horse was not cooperating, and it was while he was distracted by them that you cast a disillusionment charm over the three of you and continued to follow Sirius through the halls.
Skipping through the toads was much harder with the disillusionment charm because they wouldn’t immediately jump out of the way as they spotted you, but it wasn’t impossible. They seemed to have a sort of sixth sense to not be squashed, even if it took a little longer for it to kick off than sight.
It was when you spotted the large frog in the corner of Ricchie’s “make-out room” that you figured out where Sirius was taking you as well. “How are you planning to get in?” You whispered as you pointed towards the door.
“Easy, we have our own Perfect, he knows the passwords,” Sirius said with a smirk.
Remus tried not to roll his eyes as the three of you approached the doors, he cleared his throat before leaning into one of the corners of the door. “Whispering Woods,” he said, low so nobody beside you would hear, and the doors split open right in front of the three of you.
You didn’t waste time before walking inside, since you didn’t want to risk anyone noticing the three of you were sneaking into the “only prefects” bathroom, even with the disillusionment charm. You were still looking at the hall as you rushed to the door to shut right ahead of you. Some magic doors were faster if you gave them a little push, which was always a good trick when you were sneaking around.
Once you made sure they were shut you sighed and turned around, only to gasp in shock. It’s not that you hadn’t heard about the Prefect’s Bathroom being grand and elegant, but you were expecting spacious shower stands and perhaps even a nice toilet, not a bathtub the size of a pool.
“I know, right?” Sirius said with a smile and started walking towards the tub, flicking his wand to dissolve the disillusionment charm and opening the faucet in the side. Colourful water started streaming out of the centre, filling the pool with bubbly water. A stained glass mermaid was combing her hair just behind the tub, and she had a sort of mischievous smile going on as she spotted Sirius.
“I’m going to start thinking you have a water kink or something,” you joked as you followed him, your eyes getting lost on the mermaid before turning back to him. She didn’t look exactly like the mermaids at Lupin’s Cottage, which made you think she probably was from a different species.
Her nose was slightly longer, and she was looking at the three of you in a sweet, and yet sort of like ‘I’d want to eat you’ glance.
“Don’t worry about her, she can’t even talk,” Remus when he noticed your staring.
“Yeah?” you asked with a frown. “Why?”
“Mermaid portraits can be very temperamental, that’s why wizards rarely use the special brushes that make them talk,” Sirius explained as he threw a wink her way. You’d swear she blushed after that.
“Did you ever read ‘Siren’?” Remus asked, and you shook your head in response. “It’s about an artist that really wanted to paint a mermaid,” he explained. “And he did it, exceptionally well, so well that the portrait even had some of those enchanting abilities mermaids have. He talked to her every single day, she convinced him to put her in the bathroom since she would feel closer to home, and he would see her every single time he bathed.”
“Yeah?” Sirius asked with a smile as he continued to play with the faucets. Now there was a small fish statue blowing soap bubbles all over the place. “Sounds awkward…”
“It was,” Remus confirmed. “But she was clever and knew how to make him feel at ease. More time passed and they grew used to each other, until that wasn’t enough for her either, she ended up convincing him to drown in his tub so he could be with her.”
“Damn,” you said as you looked back up at the mermaid. She was still giving you that same curious look. “I can definitely see it happening, though…”
“A man falling for the portrait of a beautiful mermaid?” Sirius asked, clearly amused.
“A portrait being more powerful than they originally thought,” you said, not keeping your eyes away from the stained glass window. “Enchanted items can be as delightful as deceitful. There are plenty of stories of wizards who’ve gone mad over a portrait.”
“I think the water is ready,” Sirius said as he dipped his hand in the marbled pool.
“Yeah?” You asked as you leaned closer to it, leaning over and also digging your hand in the water.
“Mhm,” he nodded and then turned to Remus with a sort of mischievous look in his eyes. The way they shone told Remus enough about his plan for him to know what a terrific idea it was. “Pourquoi ne l’essaies-tu pas, Étoile?”
You didn’t even have enough time to turn around and ask what he was going on about when he picked you up from the floor and threw you into the water, the splashing from your fall was enough to leave the two of them wet and filled with bubbles.
By the time you resurfaced –not that it was very deep– both boys were shaking with laughter, their voices echoing through the bathroom in such a compelling way that you couldn’t even stay mad at them for it. That didn’t mean you wouldn’t retaliate. You looked at them both with a sort of saddened pout that had Remus lose his laughter as fast as he’d found it.
“I think I sprained my hand as I fell,” you said as you took your hand out of the water, “It’s swelling and all…”
“What? That fast?” Remus said as he approached you.
Sirius seemed concerned at first, at least until he saw the faintest shadow of a smirk as Remus approached the edge of the tub. You threw him a look, simple, almost too fast, but he instantly knew what he had to do.
“Perhaps it’s because it’s the hand I sprained at the Leaky Cauldron…” you added and extended it towards him. He was now so close, half of his body was over the water. He had your hand in his, yours was limp and his were careful, feather-like touches to make sure he wouldn’t hurt you further. He moved it to one side and then to the other, carefully.
“Does it hurt?”
“Slightly,” you retorted. It wasn’t a lie, your hand was still kind of sore. Perhaps it had been a worse hit than you thought originally.
Remus shrugged, “It doesn’t look all that swollen to me, Little Witch, but it could get worse. Perhaps we should call it and go to Pomfrey instead–”
“You don’t see it?” You asked nonchalantly and threw a look at Sirius. Remus was about to respond, “Maybe if you look closer,” you added before pulling your other hand out of the water and gripping onto his arms as firmly as you could, pulling him towards you.
Alone, you wouldn’t have done shit to move him unless he had been genuinely distracted, but with Sirius’ help, who threw him off balance with a light kick on the back of his knee and a push, it was as easy as it had been for Sirius to lift you up and throw you into the pool. When Remus resurfaced from the water he was so shocked that he’d been manhandled that he ended up being more confused than anything.
“How the– you didn’t even hurt your hand, did you?”
“It’s still sore, but no,” you said with a shrug and a smile. You then stepped a little closer, you’d never seen Remus’ hair wet, at least not fully wet, only fluffed out of the shower, it was way longer than you assumed, it reached almost all the way to his nose. You swam closer to him in an instant and pushed it off his face. It’s something perhaps you would have done even back when you were just friends –you had always been that close to him– but it was because you weren’t just friends anymore that he felt his heart hammer on his chest as you approached. He could kiss you if he wanted to, would you want it to?
And then you gave him a look. He knew that look so well. You placed both hands on his neck after you stopped playing with his hair and then you raised your eyebrows. He gave you the basic “Are you sure?” Remus Lupin look. You just raised your eyebrows again in return.
“Hey, Pups,” you said casually, “do you mind passing me my wand? I think I dropped it when you threw me into the water…” That last bit was slightly accusatory, to add up to that guilt and have him lose some of the weariness.
Sirius picked your wand from the floor and squinted his eyes at you as if deciding just how close he could get without getting pulled into the water by his favourite little fae, although you looked more like a tempting siren than a sprite in that particular moment.
“What?” You asked with a simple smile.
“You’re not going to pull me into the water, are you?”
“Of course not, I just need my wand,” you said with a smile, gently squeezing Remus’ wrist from under the water.
“What for?”
“Girl stuff,” you retorted.
“You can’t just say girl stuff whenever you want to avoid my questions.”
“But what if it really is girl stuff?” Remus intervened as he eyed Sirius.
“I won’t throw you into the water, swear,” you added, hands held up in surrender. “Just hand me my wand, you can stay out and watch while Remus and I make out or whatever.”
“What?!” Sirius asked confused, amused, and a little too keen on the idea, which was ridiculous. But damn, didn’t the both of you look stunning when you were kissing each other?
“What?” you said as you approached. “Come on, hand it over,” you said as you opened your mouth for him to place your wand in between your lips. Sirius was hesitant as he approached you, but eventually, he was close enough. And when he did, Remus, who had been casually leaning his back on the side stood up and pulled him into the water as you moved out of the way.

— Separate ‖ | © scribblesofagoonerr
pairings: leah williamson x jordan nobbs x separate reader!buddy x chaos fc reader!monkey
summary: buddy is reunited with monkey, and there up to no good already.
here's the start of the cross over nobody asked for but i wrote anyways, featuring everyones' chaotic fc reader, monkey.
also thank you to @alotofpockets for putting up with me sending my ideas for this and word jumble.
Sure enough with a bit of encouragement, you slowly came out of your shell enough to move to sit in Leah's lap and get in all of the cuddles that you had missed throughout the last week.
Until you hear the front door open, and you knew who it is straight away.
"Ello'? I'm home!" You hear your favourite person shout aloud and your quick to jump up from Leah's lap and race towards the front door, "Where's my favourite little buddy?" She asks.
"Here I am!" You all but launch yourself into the arms of the older girl.
"There you are!" Monkey exclaims, squeezing you gently as she spins you around in her arms, "I've missed you loads!"
"I've missed you too!" You can't help but giggle as your lowered back onto the floor, "Look! We're doin' Lego!" You pull her in the direction of the lego blocks scattered on the floor where you had left Leah and Jordan in favor of Monkey.
"Aw, wow! So you like the lego set, huh?" Monkey grins as she slumps down on the floor and your quick enough to drop down into her lap, the two older women completely forgotten about now that your favourite person is here.
"She's been waiting for you to come back," Leah states, smiling at the pair of you together.
Monkey gasps dramatically before she beams a wide smile, "You have? Well I'm here. Where've you been?" She asks, tickling you under your ribs.
"I went on holiday with my mama, silly!" You exclaim, bursting into a fit of giggles right there, "Where you been?" You wonder, curiously.
You know Leah and Monkey went somewhere, but you can't exactly remember where.
Or if you were told, you didn't really listen much to it.
"Oooh right, of course you did!" Monkey facepalms herself and you can't help but laugh again, you sometimes think your favourite person is the funniest person in the world, "I went to Nashville and I was in my cowgirl era. I even had a lad try hit on me and I told him to kiss my--"
"Monkey!" Leah exclaims, cutting the girl off, "She's 3, she doesn't need to hear that!" She scolds her, which you find it even funnier.
Monkeys' always known to get herself into trouble, sometimes you're corrupted and like to join in with her as well.
It's even more fun when Kyra comes to visit as well.
The three of you have so much fun!
You find it funny sometimes when you watch Leah and Kim tearing their hair out with your favourite person.
"I wasn't even gonna say anything," Monkey holds her hands up in self surrender, smirking at Leah.
You look at Leah to see her giving Monkey one of her usual stern facial expressions. You see it happen a lot, but never usually directed towards you at least.
It's always Monkey.
"And just like that we're forgotten about," Jordan jokes, seeing you happy enough again with being in the company of monkey, "I should probably go." She suggests to Leah, knowing it's the easier option that wouldn't lead to tears.
Leah hums in agreement as she watches you and Monkey together, "That's probably a good idea," She replies before she turns to look at you, "Mamas' gonna go home now, Buddy. Shall we go and say bye?" She questions.
You nod and scramble up from the older girls lap to throw yourself directly at Jordan's legs, "Bye, Mama! 'Ove you!" You exclaim.
"I love you too, my little Buddy," Jordan crouches down and plants a gentle kiss on the top of your forehead, "Be good for your mummy, okay? No getting led astray either." She tells you, glancing in the direction of your favourite person.
"Accusations. False accusations!" Monkey screeches loudly and dramatic, which of course makes Leah roll her eyes in response, "I don't know what yer' even talkin' about there!" She insists, shrugging her shoulders.
"You and I both know what I mean," Jordan remarks, chuckling at the older girl as she ruffles her hair, having the height advantage being stood up while Monkey is still sat down.
"Pft," Monkey scoffs and stands up off the floor, "I'm still an inch taller than you!" She insists, smirking at Jordan.
Leah shakes her head at the antics of your favourite person, "That's enough, Monkey!" She states, firmly before the older girl can continue to wind up Jordan any more, "Stop being a menace, go and do something productive!" She tells her.
Monkey pouts and slumps her shoulders, "I'm bored though and I can't talk to Kyra because she's asleep still!"
"Kyra!" You squeal at the mention of the Aussie girls' name, "I wan' talk to Kyra!" You insist.
Leah gives Monkey a pointed look, "See? Look what you've done now," She pinches the bridge of her nose.
"Oops," Monkey gives the blonde a guilty facial expression.
"I wan' speak to Kyra!" You insist once again.
Shaking her head, Leah turns to look at you, "Buddy, you'll see Kyra when she comes back home, but you can't talk to her because it'll be night time for us when she's awake." She explains.
"I wan' speak to Kyra," You whine, not entirely understanding the whole aspect of time zone differences.
"Ooo, Buddy! I know who we can talk too!" Monkey perks up with the idea as she grins at you, "How about we go and talk to Lessi instead?" She suggests, hoping that you'll agree to that.
"Lessi!" You cheer excitedly, forgetting about the Aussie women for now.
"Yeah, Lessi!" Monkey repeats before she sweeps you up into her arms, "You wanna go fly around the house?" She wonders, knowing exactly what you like and don't like.
"Yeah! Yeah! Fly!" You squeal in delight, squealing even more as Monkey balances her hand under your tummy and you're in the air within seconds.
"All aboard Russo airlines," Monkey jokes, making fun of the blonde for her celebration, "Neeeeeawww!" She makes the noise of a plane, running through the house with you in her arms.
"Don't drop her, Monkey!" Leah and Jordan both shout in sync, almost both of them having heart attacks seeing it happen.
"Sounds like you got your hands full there," Jordan remarks, shaking her head.
Leah chuckles slightly in response, "I'm not sure who's more of a handful at times," She replies.
"Definitely Monkey," The older women out of the two replies, grinning at her ex-girlfriend, "Right, I'll be goin' then. Her teddies in the front pocket of her backpack if she wants it."
"Thanks," Leah nods in agreement, "I'm sure she hasn't asked for it yet when she loves that thing." She adds.
That thing that Leah was referring to was Mr. Bear, a stuffed brown bear that was gifted to you from your great-grandma and ever since you got him, you carried him everywhere with you, even going as far as almost dropping him out of the window one time and Jordan had to stop the car and jump out to retrieve him to save any of the tears.
"Yeah, me neither," Jordan agrees with her ex, "And her blanket, if she needs it is--"
"Jord, don't worry. I've got it, Leah interjects, chuckling slightly at her ex girlfriend, "She's my daughter too, remember? I can figure these things out."
"Yeah, of course, sorry force of habit," The older women out of the two gives her ex a sheepish smile and nods, while shoving her hands in her pockets, "Ehm, I'll be here on Friday at 2 to collect her for the weekend then." She tells her.
"I'll see you then," Leah nods curtly, opening the front door to let Jordan out, "Safe drive back."
Jordan smiles slightly at Leah, "Yep, thanks. See you on Friday." With that, she waves at her ex girlfriend before she departs down the driveway and climbs back into her car for the long drive back home.

Hair Dye
Pairings: JJ x Routledge!Reader
Warnings: Surprise Kiss, Fingering, Rough!Dark!JJ, Spanking, Panty Ripping, Hair Pulling, Choking, P in V, Creampie, Caught, etc.
Summary: Read the ask^
Author's Note: Wrote this so fast, I hope you like it, sorry it's so late!
"I just don't see the point, dad and I have brown hair, you got blonde hair, you should feel special!" John B says as I walk down the aisle searching for the color I want. "That's exactly the point JB. I feel left out. It's odd, plus people have asked us way too many times if we're dating, even though we have the same face." JB rolled his eyes in defeat as I found the shade of brown I was searching so hard for. I was so excited that I could barely wait until we got home.
"Hey JJ is coming over soon!" I hear JB yell from the kitchen as he puts away some groceries. "I expect nothing less. Your boyfriend basically lives here!" I laugh as I go into the bathroom and read the instructions. Once I think I finally have it down and the parts mixed together, my brother calls me into the kitchen. "I'm gonna start cooking dinner. Is there any way I am going to talk you out of this? Blonde hair takes a long time to come back." He says and almost on cue JJ stumbles in the front door. "And yet yours keeps coming back." I say throwing my thumb over my shoulder. He chuckled at my stupid joke and ruffled my hair, causing it to frizz up even more than it already had.
"Hey there, hot stuff." JJ said with a wink. I roll my eyes before walking to the bathroom. "He was talking to you!" I shout teasing JB about his best friend. "I definitely wasn't but okay. What's with her?" I hear him ask my brother. I put the gloves on and get a towel ready under my neck. "She's going to dye her hair. I kept trying to talk her out of it. Fuck, I forgot something at the store. I'll be back, try not to kill each other." I heard the screen door slam as John B ran out.
I heard loud footsteps coming from the hallway until they reached me. "You're not gonna try to talk me out of it too are you?" I say setting down the bottle of dye. "Not gonna try shit" I breathe out a sigh of relief. "You're not doing it." He demanded. "Who do you think you are?" I ask with a full attitude. "Y/N. You don't need to dye your hair." I shook my head. "I want to!" I whined. JJ went to grab the bottle of hair dye and so did I. Eventually he tore it from me and held it above his head. I wasn't able to reach it and he laughed because he thought he had won. I looked him in the eyes and took his face in my hands, planting a big kiss on him. when his lips moved back and forth with mine, I knew he'd drop his arm any second. And he did. I took the chance and stole my bottle back running to the guest bedroom and trying to make it to that bathroom. I wasn't aware JJ was right behind me until I was pinned against the bathroom door.
"Why must you be a little brat all the time?" He asked. JJ's eyes are dark now. This wasn't a game anymore. He removed the bottle from my hand, I let him take it because I was so stunned by this sudden change. "You're. Not. Dying. It." He said with a low menacing voice. "Jay-" I tried to plead, I don't know why, but he was scaring me. He was also kind of arousing me. I never had these feelings for my brother's best friend, maybe it was just how dark he felt in this moment.
He stared into my eyes before placing his lips to mine once again. It felt different this time, I felt a zing, coursing through my veins. His fingertips were now bruising my hips as he lightly humped me through our clothes. This felt unreal. I peak my eyes open for a moment. Yep. it was still JJ. He was still grabbing me with an intense force and grinding his rock hard cock into me.
My eyes shut again and I just went with it. His right hand moved to unbutton my shorts. When he found his way in, he didn't tease, he only plummeted two fingers into my soaked core. "He won't be gone long, if there's something you want from me..tell me now." He demanded again. My eyes stared into his begging to be fucked but I knew it wouldn't be that easy. "F-fuck me.." I whispered through my breath, unable to think as his fingers moved back and forth. "Speak up." His harsh tone scared me slightly but I said my phrase again, louder so he could hear.
His fingers escaped my opening, causing a whine to spill from my lips. He rolled his eyes before pulling my shorts down. I kicked them to the side before I was roughly turned around and slammed up against the door. A gasp flew out of me unexpectedly followed by another when I felt him slap my ass. I let out loud moans as he continued, taking turns with my cheeks. When they were blood red, he squeezed them in his hands. I hissed from the sensitivity he caused.
He toyed with my panties for a few seconds before he spoke. "You don't need these." He chuckled lightly before I heard a ripping sound. Shock was written all over my face as he tore the rest of the thin fabric off of my body. His fingers found my slick folds and teased them for a moment. I was about to chime in before hearing the sound of a zipper and shorts dropping to the ground. I didn't have enough time to process the noise before I felt his cock slide inside me. He let out a dark groan and quickened his pace, not letting me adjust to his size. He was going so fast and so hard. I was a moaning mess. My head started to fall but he didn't let it get too far. His hand pulled me back by my hair while his other wrapped around my throat. His fingertips squeezed tighter, not giving me much room to work air in or out. "You like that? Like my hand wrapped around your throat while you take my cock?" He asked and all I could do was give a small nod before he pulled my hair again, so now my ear was against his lips. "What would John B say if he walked in on us right now? Think he'd be pissed to see his sister with my cock jammed in her tight pussy?" He teased.
Those words were enough to cause an eruption in me. My orgasm hit me like a freight train and slid down his cock and onto his thighs. His hand left my throat and fell to my hips as I pulled in as much air as possible. He fucked me hard a few more times before his cum leaked inside of me.
The sound of the screen door opening and closing apparently wasn't enough to get JJ's dick out of me. My throat was tired, I couldn't mutter a word and JJ knew that. He rode out his high which made my eyes roll back. It was enough for me to squeeze my thighs together and cum again.
"JJ when I said anything, this is not what I meant!" JB shouted. We never even heard him walk in, but we heard the bedroom door slam. We cooled down and I went into the bathroom to inspect my neck. There were bruises where JJ had a hold of me. "What did he mean by that?" I asked. JJ was a lot brighter now. "Oh he messaged me before you two got home and told me to make you not dye your hair. He said to do anything I have to." He chuckled. "Wasn't planning this.." He said pointing to my neck. "But I'm glad it happened." He shrugged and kissed my forehead. A smile spread onto my face before I laid my head on his chest. He held me in his arms and I promised to never dye my hair.
"Good, I like pullin' on this blonde lion's mane." He giggled before I swatted at his chest.

Piercings
Spooky x f!reader
Word count: 925
Warnings: Spooky being a cute daddy, talks of piercings, brief description of a child's ear being pierced, tears from both baby and dad (lol), fluff, Spooky gets a lil freaky at the end. (had to), allusions to smut. reader is not race-coded, reader speaks/understands Spanish
(not my gif. hes so fucking hot.)
“Spooky, baby, come on she’s six months. It’s easier to do it now, they say the pain won’t last as long.” You pouted at your husband. You’d been talking about piercings and earrings since you found out you were having a girl. Spooky hated it. Said you could just give her your moms old ass clip-ons and call it a day but you were not about to do your daughter like that. Plus you maaay have jumped the gun and bought lots of studs and little hoops for her.
Your husband scowled at you as he held the child in question in one hand and pushed the stroller with the other. “Pleeeease.” You begged. He huffed and rolled his eyes. “Fine,” He complied. “But I’m gonna be so pissed at you if something bad happens.” You rolled your eyes, you were sure she’d be fine. “She won’t even cry.”
“Have you seen her get a needle at the doctors? Yes she will.” He argued. But it was too late he already said yes and so you led them over to Claire’s. You browsed around until the piercer was done with her current client. Spooky smiled as his daughter’s tiny hands reached for the bow he was holding. “You already have too many bebita…. But what’s one more? Right?”
Spoiled.
While they were distracted you conversed with the piercer who assured you that the pain would be quick, she’d cry for a few seconds but she’d be completely fine after. “Yeah, try and tell my husband that. He might fight us both.” You joked. She laughed and shrugged. “All the dads are like that,” She leaned in to whisper. “Sometimes they cry more than the kids.”
Oh, you’d pay to see that.
“Just let me finish sanitizing every thing and I’ll get to you guys.”
“Alright, thanks.”
You wandered to find your little family, your daughter snug as a bug in her fathers big arms. You poked her side and she squirmed flashing you a toothless smile. “Are you ready, mi amor? We’re gonna make you look extra pretty.”
Spooky groaned. “Say Mommy I’ll always be pretty and that this idea is estúpido.” You flicked him on the back of his bald head."
"Stop teaching my child bad words."
He mocked you and flipped you off, you grabbed his finger, about to twist it off if you could but the piercer had called you guys over. You firmly planted your hand on his back and pushed him to the chair, he sat and glared at you. "Okay, so you'll sit her on your lap, one arm over her torso... like this..." She arranged his arm for him, "And hand... here." His large hand engulfing your child's head, she turned her small head to you and smiled again. "Are you ready?" You asked in your baby voice which always got her excited.
The piercer picked up her piercing gun, you cringed starting to remember what that felt like when you got your nose pierced so long ago. She gently picked up the small lobe of your daughter's ear and let it hang between the end of the earring that was jammed inside the white gun and the hole it would come through. You heard one quick click and your baby's smile turned into a frown, her tiny lip quivered and she blinked out a few tears. Her calm before the storm. Her head was turned away from you and the same thing happened, a fast click, and soon a wailing baby.
Your heart sank, maybe it was a bad idea. Your eyes met Spooky's, in them held sorrow for his baby and disdain towards you-- they were glossy and slowly reddening from his own incoming tears, he rested her head in his chest and bounced her up and down with a comforting pat on her back.
"Ohhh, mi bonita flor, I'm sorry. We're not talking to mommy anymore." He cooed kissing the top of her head. Your jaw dropped. "Oh, come oooon, Spooky."
No response. Just a look that could kill. You half-smiled. "I love you. Thank you."
He sucked his teeth and walked out of the store with your bawling baby.
-- --
The silent treatment continued when you got home, even after your daughter calmed down and forgot the whole ordeal. You held her in your arms as she slept peacefully, milk drunk as usual. Her ruby earrings sparkled as they complimented her skin tone and face shape, you smiled drawing faint circles on her arm. You felt those warm brown eyes boring into the back of your skull.
"Still mad?" You mumbled turning toward him. "Yes." He huffed. You nodded your head at your baby. "Look how fucking cute she is. Just say I was right."
Spooky leaned over to get a better look at her, her small nose twitching in her sleep. He swooned resting his hand on her little leg. "Qué bonito. Ella es hermosa." (How cute. She is beautiful.)
"Exactly." You looked down at her. "Always knew we'd make some cute ass babies."
He delivered a soft kiss to your neck, his teeth nibbling at your skin and you could feel his smile against it. "Speaking of," He kissed the back of your ear. "When we gon' start trying for another."
You gasped as he pinched your thigh with his free hand. "Oscar Diaz!"
"I got my own milf walking around, you think I can control myself?" You playfully rolled and carefully eased off the couch so as not to wake your baby. "Let me put her in her crib."
"Yes!"
something quick cus i'm high asf and I've been seeing a lot of men crying when their daughters get their ears pierced and idk I just imagined spooky lmao couldn't think of a title but if yall come up with one and i like it I'll use it
if you liked this fic feel free to like this fic, comments and reblogs are appreciated.
Peace and love see you in the next one✌🏾

𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐇 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐋𝐄𝐌𝐒
=͟͟͞♡ SIMON "GHOST" RILEY x gn!READER
⌨ | your neighbors ask you to babysit their child for an evening. after your request, they kindly agree to let your boyfriend, Simon, stay with you. this could be the beginning of a bad joke, because Simon babysitting is a rather... atypical sight? but things are going very well until the question of math exercises comes up...
notes — i had this idea recently and i found it really cute bc Simon is not a scary guy in everyday life in my eyes even if he's probably not the sunniest of guys. so just comfort bc i think we all need it <3
Oh what a sight it was... Simon, a military man by profession, with a solid reputation, well into his thirties, stood with his head in his hands, bent over a maths exercise book.
The answers to the exercises were already carefully written down in the little boy's notebook, and while his elder was having an existential crisis over a maths exercise, he was patiently playing with Simon's mask.
Simon had taken the time to explain all the exercises to the child, using the method that he knew, but he had realised that, these days, we don't teach using the same method. The child had to be able to do the exercise using the current method. So you had discovered a very patient side to your boyfriend, who explains as best he can. At first, the child was confused. Why two different methods? Then he accepted his fate, understood the two methods and moved on. But Simon didn't.
With a few muffled curses, he made a point of comparing the two methods, couching tons of mathematical formulae to prove his point: the old method was more effective than the new one. ‘‘But why?’’ you heard him swear under his breath after the third time in five minutes, ‘‘Why change a method that works very well, damn it!’’.
‘‘Simon, your language’’ you exclaimed, pointing at the child, but he wasn't listening any more. He had put on Simon's mask, which was twice too big for him, and was drawing on a corner of a sheet of paper. But it wasn't going to be conclusive as he couldn't see anything. The sight was quite comical and you took out your phone to immortalise the moment, especially Simon struggling with elementary maths problems, silently promising to show it to Johnny sometime.
Simon angrily lifted the notebook to show you his development, ‘‘But look! It doesn't make any fucking sense!’’ He looked so determined, so dramatic, so invested that you burst out laughing. You'd have thought he was about to take up arms against the national education system. He grumbled a little at your mockery, then sighed as he closed the notebook, glancing at the child who hadn't followed anything but was now asking for spaghetti bolognese.
‘‘Oh, Lieutenant Ghost, this is a science that doesn't move, you should be able to complete this mission with ease’’ you mocked shamelessly, earning yourself that murderous look, so threatening, promising terrible reprisals that you still felt a shiver of anticipation run through your body. Oh, he won't forget that when you're safe in your room, you were sure. But then he stood up, planted a warm kiss on your forehead and it was your heart's turn to shiver. ‘‘Come and help me instead of mocking me,’’ he mumbled with a semblance of an amused smile on his lips.
Later, as you walked down the steps to your appartment, you couldn't help but tease Ghost: ‘‘You know, you really did sound like a father of three, on the verge of a mid-life crisis when we're not even parents yet’’. You stopped when you realised that Simon had paused at the top of the stairs, looking down at you with a tender smile and a look of great meaning. ‘‘Not yet, for the moment...’’ You returned his beautiful smile, your heart racing at the sight, he seemed to enjoy the idea. Then you saw his smile fade and his eyes take on a bored look: ‘‘No, never mind, by the time we have a child and it grows up, they'll have time to change their methods 30 times.’’
With a sigh, you rolled your eyes and resumed your walk.
‘‘You're a pain, Simon. You're rambling.’’
‘‘I'm mostly fucking right. But when you look at it—’’
Your discussion faded as you descended the stairs, Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley's swearing disappearing for good as the door to your flat slammed behind you, muffling your heartfelt laughter.

Could you just write like ANYTHING that’s Dominic x reader because there is a severe dom fic drought rn
𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐎𝐎𝐒, dominic fike x reader
𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: you and your boyfriend get matching tattoos 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: cursing, sexual jokes
You and Dom had been discussing matching tattoos for months now. You loved the idea, but the only issue was that neither of you could agree on what tattoo to get. Well, that had been the case until earlier today, when your boyfriend finally compromised on getting a cherry stem with two cherries as your tattoo. Cherries were symbolic to your relationship; you had them on your first date, and since then they always reminded you of your relationship. Dominic liked the idea behind it, but he argued that the tattoo should be more corny and obvious. But after hours of reasoning and many puppy eyes later, Dominic just couldn’t say no, and had finally accepted defeat to those damn cherries.
"Dom, what am I supposed to wear to a tattoo appointment?" you asked, looking at yourself in the mirror, attempting to think of an outfit in your head. “Nothing at all if it was up to me," he deadpanned, scrolling mindlessly through his phone.
You rolled your eyes before turning to him. “Dominic, I'm being serious," you scolded, a wide smirk appearing on his face. “I am the most serious I've probably ever been." You groaned in response, walking into the closet in search of an outfit.
"Okay, how's this?" you asked. He looks up from his phone and eyes you up and down. "Perfect," he grins. No matter what outfit you put on, it was perfect to him, meaning he was zero help.
“You say it’s ‘perfect’ every time,” you sighed, knowing stuff like this riles him up. “What else do you want me to say?” he asks and you just walk over and plant a kiss to his forehead in response and he wipes it away jokingly.
You turnto face the mirror, having to trust your own opinion in this situation. "Is it too booby?" you ask yourself, caressing the top of your tank top.
The look on his face immediately tells you he’s thinking of another sly remark. "Nothing is ever too booby," you giggled and walked over to your dresser to grab your purse.
As you checked your phone, replying to the texts you missed while getting ready, you heard the sound of one of Dominic's notorious dramatic sighs. "What're you so loud for?" you teasingly question as you put on your earrings. You hear him get off the bed and walk over to you, gently placing his arms around your waist and nuzzling his head into the back of your neck.
"'Cause I'm bored," he mumbles into your neck, barely audible. "I've been watching Reddit confessions for like three hours." The buzz of his words on your neck send a chill down your spine.
"It's not my fault you were ready two hours ago," you joke, turning to face him, placing a soft kiss on his lips. "Plus, you love those Reddit confessions,"
.
"Still set on those cherries?" he asks, pulling into the parking lot of the tattoo parlour. "Yes, one hundred percent set," you smacked your glossy lips together to emphasize your words.
You walk towards the building, hand in hand. "I'm nervous," you admit, squeezing his hand extra hard. “Why? You'll be okay and it’ll be a quick one,” Dominic replies and rubs your back for reassurance. "Plus you should be perfectly fine since you got to pick the tattoo." He turns to you a smirk plastered onto his face.
"I didn't pick it. We agreed on it," you emphasize, stepping into the parlour as Dominic holds the door open. "Yeah, yeah, whatever," he says before wrapping his arm around your shoulder.
"Hi, we're here for an appointment at four thirty," you smile at the lady at the counter. "Oh, yes! A couples tattoo, that’s fun!" She exclaims pulling out a clipboard and some pens for you to sign with
"Yeah, we've been talking about it for a while, and we were both free today, so we were like, why not?" you explained as Dominic signed the waiver. "What are you guys planning on getting?" she asks, as Dominic hands the clipboard to you.
"We're getting cherries," Dominic answers as you continued skimming through the waiver. "We had them for dessert on our first date." The woman’s face softens at Dominic's reasoning for the tattoo. "That is adorable," she grins.
“He said it was not corny enough,” you explain handing the clipboard back over to her, as Dominic sends you a playful glare. “Well for the record, I think it’s super corny” she replies.
You turned your head towards Dominic before mumbling, "Told you.”
“Okay, you’re all set! I'll have the chairs set up in a couple of minutes," she announces before walking off into the back.
The both of you take a seat, and you lay your head on his shoulder. "Dom?" you whispered, barely loud enough for him to hear you. "Yes, my love?" he looks down at you, eyes wide and attentive, ready to listen to whatever you have to say.
"If you really don't want to get the cherries, we can do something else. I don't mind, I promise," You look up, immediately reading his face for a response.
He lets out the slightest chuckle. "Baby, if I really didn't want those cherries, I would've been on your ass about it,” he smiles, brushing his hands through your hair. "And plus, I'd get your face tatted on my forehead, so I have zero issues with some little cherries," he adds, causing you to chuckle.
"You're very corny, you know that?" you say after a few seconds of silence. "It's my specialty, really," he replies and places a kiss on your head.
A few minutes later the woman comes back out. "We're ready for you two!" She calls out and you stand up as he grabs your hand for support to get up, though he really doesn’t need it.
“Ready?" he asks from a few feet behind you. "Readier than ever!" you grin.
You decide to go first. Dominic sits beside you on the chair, holding your free hand, and squeezing it occasionally. You watch Dominic converse with the tattoo artist and can help but smile at him. A big, goofy smile that displayed nothing but love and commitment. And you think to yourself as the tattoo artists sanitizes your arm; what is committing if not getting a matching tattoo?

hey could u write a fluffy fred weasley fic where he's just completely gone for the reader ? like they are best friends and our boy is head over heels in love with her but she's oblivious 😭
yay first golden trio era request ! ty lovely i hope you like it <3
— not just best friends
fred weasley x gryffindor!reader ★ 670 words
You and the Weasley twins ran from the charms classroom, making it all the way to the courtyard until you had to stop to catch your breaths.
"Did you see the look on Flitwick's face? Oh my god, that was a good one boys."
The three of you laughed at today's stunt. The boys had managed to get their hands on a muggle joke item, a 'whoopie cushion', and charmed it to sound ten times louder when Professor Flitwick sat in his chair. You high fived them both, George ruffling your hair and Fred slinging an arm around your shoulder and pulling you into his side.
"Well I've worked up an appetite, and I do believe we've earned ourselves a little treat." George grins, walking ahead of them towards the Great Hall.
Fred lightly rubs your arms as you two follow behind the other twin. "Are you feeling hungry, love?"
"Not terribly, but I could eat." You shrug, looking up to see him already looking down at you, quickly turning his head forward with a small smile. He holds the door open for you and you both make your way to Gryffindor table.
You take your usual seat on the end next to Fred, who sits besides George. You scan the table for your favorite pastry when a plate with said pastry is held in front of you. Taking it and smiling at your best friend, you mumble a quick 'thank you Freddie' as you take a bite. Angelina, their new friend from Quidditch, sits across from you today and introduces herself.
"You guys are such a cute couple by the way."
You don't notice the way Fred's ears turn as red as his hair, or the way he melted as he looked over at you with hearts in his eyes. Instead, you just laughed and shook your head. "Godric no, we're just best friends."
Angelina's eyebrows raised for a moment, glancing at Fred before looking back at you with an apologetic smile. "Of course! My bad."
Fred smiled tightly and shoved a dinner roll into his mouth, George patting him on the back. The rest of dinner goes by with you and Angelina getting along brilliantly, the two of you chatting while Fred cut up some fruit for you while in his own conversation with his twin.
George takes your new friend away to "talk about quidditch", the latter waving at you with a deep blush on her face. You sigh with a smile on your face, piercing a cube of pineapple and taking a bite. "Some people are just so obviously in love, huh?"
"You're kidding, right?" You turn towards Fred, who looked astonished to hear those words come out of your mouth. He picked up the end of your red and yellow tie and dangled it in front of you. "I tie your tie for you every morning because m'sorry love but you can't do it right on your own. I-" he points to the plate of fruit you were eating from, "I cut your fruit for you because it's your favorite thing to snack on."
He ran a hand through his hair, a dry laugh escaping him. "I hold your hand in Potions because I know Snape makes you nervous, and I give you my spare jersey on game days because I like you, I really like you."
You sat there with wide eyes, watching the boy you were crazy about lose his own mind over this. Fred didn't think his ears couldn't get warmer, a shaky smile and bouncing knee giving away his nerves.
"Merlin Freddie, no wonder we weren't sorted into Ravenclaw! We're both a couple of oafs!"
Fred's smile dropped, his face turning into one of confusion.
"What do you-" You grabbed his face and planted a kiss right on his lips, grinning as you pulled away. He let out a surprised laugh, his smile growing as you joined in.
"We're not just best friends anymore, are we?"
"What do you think, Weasley?"

jealousy || tangerine
tangerine x f!reader
summary: he knew you were fuming about his actions and he loved it. the two of you loved making the other jealous. it was a sick cycle.
warnings: mildly toxic dynamic, semi-suggestive (no descriptions)
word count: 900+
tangerine masterlist
your eyes followed the two figures amongst the crowd as if losing them was a sin. your fingers drummed against the now wet glass of your drink as the heat inside the club combatted with the ice. you were infuriated, to say the least. truth be told you were jealous, hungry for the attention not being provided to you, but to someone else. you wish you could blame the way your body was pulsating on the ear-ringing music but you knew it was because you were watching tangerine dance behind a girl, his eyes now piercing into your own.
tangerine and you were...messy.
there was really no solidified relationship between the two of you, however, it was evident that the late-night rendezvous indicated you two weren’t just friends. there were many nights spent staying up until the sun rose and many days spent tucked under sheets. he was still staring at you, whispering things into the woman's ear causing her to giggle and all you could do was suck your teeth, seething in anger.
"well don't ya look fuckin' jolly," lemon chuckled bumping into your shoulder, taking the seat next to you. you broke the staring contest to glare at lemon.
"i get we're on a fuckin' mission but jesus could it look like he wants to fuck her anymore?!" you spit.
"relax champ. let him work his magic and we will be outta here soon enough," lemon said patting your shoulder.
tangerine's back was now facing you and lemon and all you could see was the woman throwing her head back in laughter, her fingers tracing up and down tan's back. you could vomit right there or you could kill her, she was the enemy anyway what's the difference? you felt your throat constricting watching his arm move to grab her face, planting a kiss below her ear. with force you swiveled in your chair to face the bartender.
"three shots of tequila please," you almost begged.
"any of those for me?" lemon joked trying to suppress his amusement at the situation.
the first shot slid down your throat burning the entire way down to your stomach, "over my dead body."
the other two shots went down with ease and the fuzzy sensation was coursing through your body. it helped the jealousy subside even though you knew they were still dancing behind you. just as you were about to close your tab, a large hand situated itself where your neck and shoulder meet and a black credit card was thrown on the counter. you rolled your eyes so hard that it hurt.
"gettin' drunk on the job hm?" tangerine quipped bending dangerously close to the right side of your face. you could feel his breath on your ear.
"at least i wasn't trying to fuck on the dance floor," you retorted looking at tangerine through your eyelashes.
he let out a short fake laugh running his hand down his chest to smooth out his vest, "you know i only save that for you, love."
you ignored him and the warmth throughout your body and stood up wobbling a bit. from the other side lemon balanced you and nodded his head for the three of you to leave. you sauntered behind lemon, tangerine behind you which he liked quite a great deal. you could feel his eyes burning into every inch of your body and you purposely swayed your hips a bit more. he knew you were fuming about his actions and he loved it. the two of you loved making the other jealous. it was a sick cycle.
the three of you were now outside heading towards the car when you heard a pair of heels behind you and then two voices. turning around you saw the woman from earlier, the lady the three of you were here to steal information from, now talking to tangerine with a hand on his chest. their voices were quiet and tangerine's eyes quickly glanced over at you as he shot the woman a feigned smile. at this moment you didn't even care. you stalked over to the two pushing the woman to the side gripping tangerine's tie with such force it nearly ripped from the collar. the woman had stumbled to the side but she was now an afterthought as you shoved tangerine against the brick wall nearby.
you grabbed his face resting your palms on his cheeks and kissed him roughly. your fingernails scraped across his scalp, his hair knotting in between your fingers. his hands found themselves on your waist pulling you in closer. tangerine's tongue swiped across your bottom lip and you gladly let him in. he could taste the tequila and he couldn't tell if it was the alcohol or the kiss making his head fuzzy. but he loved it and he wanted more. he wanted every inch of your body on him. he wanted you underneath him, your nails marking his back as he kissed the special spot on your neck.
"we gotta get the fuck outta here love," tangerine grumbled against your lips swinging your body into his arms and trekking to the car.
as you retreated to the car in tangerine's arms you glanced over his shoulder. the woman had stayed where she was in shock and all you could do was wiggle your fingers at her in goodbye knowing she was staying here while you left with tangerine knowing soon enough he'd find home between your legs.

MORE SHIPRATS
More specifically about the suits. I'm picturing cyberpunk type stuff but lets be honest, Humans are humans. There's going to be helmets covered in fauxhawks and stickers, someone's going to opt out of everything practical in preference of a prehensile tail, we're going to express ourselves in thousands of ways. But functionality/general aesthetic I'm picturing for Katie, at least, is starting to form in my mind so you're going to get that. I mentioned a back mounted drone thing and I'll be honest, it's pretty inspired by Stray. One shoulder has a little thing like that, but probably in grey or black to blend in with the average guts of a ship. Maybe the drone itself is clear so that it's even harder for the giants to notice. The other shoulder has a speaker that can pop out that amplifies her voice to communicate if need be. I picture the grappling system to launch from the wrist but the line is actually attached to the waist and the suit works and supports like a rock climbing harness. Backpack is full of all sorts of tools, and Human-Grade adhesives and anchors. Cable management is hella important and superglue and duct tape have evolved to have built in pest repellent.
The Helmet itself is pretty cliche cyberpunk, but it's definitely got gills for aqua or other liquid adventures. There's a mic and earpiece in it of course, often synced to the little drone so she can scout rooms without exposing herself. It's got a little projector as well, mostly used to throw schematics up in place while you work on a problem. (think Ironman).
People have mentioned Magnet boots in the tags and replies, and there's definitely something there. I joked about rollerskates because I LOVE the idea of a little human zooming around underfoot across the smooth floors of a ship. Katie probably has some highly grippy-yet-silent shoes that are closer to those a rock climber would wear; form fitting but not restraining, flexible but still supportive. You need to be able to FEEL your foot placement running across wires and climbing up cables. There's also some ship-rats who insist on running around barefoot. there always have been and there always will be.
I like the idea of the suit having instead of typical oxygen tanks, algae tanks of some kind? like the oxygen is coming from plants that are growing symbiotically from the wearer's waste. They would be small. I Don't like putting too much on the back of this kind of thing because humans need to roll to absorb impact, and even with lower gravity there's a lot of fall risk in this industry. That's one of the reasons as much as possible is on the toolbelt and only bulkier tools would be in the back pack. in emergency you can attach it to the drone and have that hover in a safe spot until you call retrieval. So maybe the plants would be in a living space and the air just circulates through the suit, then you hook up to the plant take to refresh overnight? We know that For sure there's lots of plants and algae tanks in the homes of humans living in space, but Brownies like Katie don't exactly settle well. She's got the wanderlust in her that her parents realized they couldn't conquer, so instead they bought the best gear they could.
That is why short of getting crushed she's not going to be very seriously injured; she could survive in the void for a short period of time in that thing, it's puncture and slash proof, basically anything but blunt force trauma is going to bounce right off. The suit is armor, and it's all about safety. grapples and ziplines and tools are all well and good, but they mean nothing if you get cut in half by a cord snapping or a pissed off space-bug.
Obviously phasers and blasters and all sorts of weapons exist. We love making every kind of science into weapons. Katie relies on what the galactic committee classifies as a "Laser cutter and defabricator" and what humans call "Laser Rifles." She's also got a bunch of tools for cutting through metal that would work on pretty much anything if she needed it too. One of the most important tools, though, would be the spray can- (What did you think i was going to say?) A little can nozzle that can be dipped in anything you use to write, and then sprays it on a surface. Humans communicate through ten foot tall letters out of necessity when talking to Giants, and Graffiti artists figured that shit out forever ago. Katie's model is fancy and can dye the ink different colors if needed. Spray color coding wires and parts is always helpful, especially working in unfamiliar systems.

What Are Friends For?
CHAPTER 2
SUMMARY: You and Lex work out some of the details of your fake relationship.
WARNINGS: None.
"Okay, rule number one -- I get to decide how we got together." You've quit pacing the length of your living room to speak, hands on your hips as you look down at Lex. She's sitting on your couch, feet kicked up onto your previously pristine coffee table, and as you speak, her gaze leaves the family portraits adorning the wall to focus on you instead.
Thirty minutes ago, you'd invited Lex to your apartment in order to work out the details of this whole 'fake relationship' thing. Despite Lex trying to assure you that you could just wing it, your insistence that preparation was the key to success had her finally agreeing to come over.
With a shrug, she responds, "Hey, less thinking for me."
"Another rule -- We need to agree on boundaries beforehand so neither of us are taken off guard."
"Boundaries?" She furrows her brows.
You gesture between you both. "Like, holding hands, kissing, stuff like that. How far are you expecting us to go to keep up this ruse?"
She appears amused by this, lifting her boots off of your coffee table and planting them firmly on the floor instead. Her legs are spread wide and your gaze is drawn to them for the briefest of seconds before returning to her face. Her head is tilted as she regards you curiously. There's something else in that look that you can't quite decipher. "How far are you expecting us to go?"
You feel heat creeping up your neck as the question is turned back around on you. You try your best to appear nonchalant when you respond, "However far you need us to. I'm doing this for you, after all; I just want to be properly prepared."
"We can't prepare for everything, y'know. Some things we're just gonna have to make up on the spot, and that's okay," Lex says in what is meant to be reassuring tone.
You're pacing again. "Yeah, well, I've never been good at that." The room falls silent as you become lost in thought, trying to think of every possible way this stack of cards could come tumbling down so you can prevent it from happening. You're so deep in your own mind that you don't even realize Lex has left her seat until she's standing in front of you, hands coming to gently but firmly grip your biceps in an effort to stop you in your tracks.
It certainly works, the sudden close proximity stopping not only your physical movements but every coherent thought in your head. You wait for her to back up but she stays. "Would it make you feel better if we practiced?"
"What?" God, you hope your face isn't as red as it feels, but the amusement beginning to light up Lex's eyes again are enough of an answer.
"You said you want to be prepared, right?" She raises her brows, and you nod. "So we practice. We tell each other how we got together so many times it starts to feel real. We get so comfortable touching and kissing each other that it looks natural to everyone else." As if to demonstrate, her hands slide up your arms, your neck, finally resting on your cheeks. She watches you intently, eyes switching focus between each of yours as if searching for something within them. You swallow.
"That's... actually a good idea," you say, a little distracted by her thumb stroking your cheek. Her hands are softer than you expected.
A smile spreads across her face. "I have one of those every once in a while," she jokes. It puts you a little more at ease, and you roll your eyes as you smile back down at her, forcing yourself to relax into her touch. It needs to look natural, not like you're freaking out on the inside. With a thoughtful hum, she adds, "I definitely asked you out. You can decide whatever else but we need this to be believable."
You scoff, pulling away from her in indignation as she laughs. "Anyway," you begin, attempting to divert attention from the fact that she's extremely correct, "since it seems like we're going to be here a while, do you want to order a pizza or something?"
The grin on her face tells you she sees right through you, but there's something else there that takes you off guard a little. There's a fondness in her expression for a moment; you barely see it as she turns to head back to the couch before dropping herself onto it. "It's like you read my growling stomach." As she speaks, she pats the seat beside her expectantly, raising her eyebrows at you.
You're nervous. You've sat beside Lex before, of course, but this feels different. Lex wants to practice, and maybe you didn't think it all the way through when you made the decision to let the woman you've been trying to suppress feelings for kiss you and touch you and call you pet names and --
"Y/N." Lex's voice is a beacon calling out to you before you can lose yourself completely in your overthinking. "I don't bite. Unless you're into that, then we could work it into the arrangement."
You let out a nervous chuckle as you finally move toward the couch. "Funny," you respond instead of giving her any kind of real answer. You know she isn't really looking for one anyway; she just enjoys flustering you.
You sit beside her and she turns to face you, folding one of her legs underneath the other and draping her arm across the back of the couch. Pulling out your phone, you and Lex take a few minutes to decide what you want. By the time you finally click 'order' and slip your phone back into your pocket, you think you've worked out how the two of you got together.
"We were working together after the store closed a week ago. We were on our lunch break out back, sitting against the wall, our arms touching. It was just like any other lunch break -- Talking about nothing and everything, making each other laugh. Maybe it was the peace of the early morning that made us open up to each other more that night or maybe it was just inevitable, but either way, something changed. We looked at each other, and our faces were so close... and feelings we hadn't realized ran so deep suddenly hit us all at once. You'd had the urge to kiss me before that moment but now it almost hurt to hold yourself back -- so you didn't. You kissed me, fully prepared to be pushed away, and I kissed you back. And now here we are." You finally turn your gaze toward Lex as you finish your story -- a story rooted in a very real moment from a week ago, one where it had been you who'd ached so badly to press your lips to hers after you had opened up to her about your struggles being pushed out by your parents and living with your grandmother instead (a lovely woman -- you have no complaints about her) until you moved out, after she had opened up about her struggles with her family and with trying to make it on her own while also supporting her sister. It really had almost hurt not to kiss her right then and there, but you had. You had torn your gaze away, focusing instead on the few stars you could see in the night sky.
When your eyes meet Lex's, you can tell she remembers that night, too. She's silent for a moment, just looking at you, and for that moment you begin to feel as though you've made a mistake. You'd thought that choosing a real moment would make the part that's a lie more believable, but now you're wondering if you've accidentally uncovered the truth about your feelings buried underneath it.
"Like this?" As Lex breaks the silence, her hand reaches up to curl into a fist around your shirt collar before tugging you toward her. Before you can react, her lips are on yours, her other hand tangling in the back of your hair.
A surprised, "Mmh--" escapes your throat, your eyes fluttering shut. Lex is kissing you. It's softer than you expected, especially after the rough tug at your shirt collar, and you lose yourself in it quickly -- in the name of practice, of course.
As your lips move against hers, her hand leaves your shirt collar to rest on your hip. What started out soft and even a little hesitant, as if testing the waters, begins to grow heated. Her tongue traces your bottom lip and you part your lips for her immediately. She tilts her head a little, her tongue sliding into your mouth to begin its exploration -- and God, it's thorough. You to moan into Lex's open mouth. Her hand on your hip tightens its grip, her other hand resting on the back of your neck and firmly holding you in place. Your hands come to rest on the sides of her face, fingers tangling in her hair as your tongue slides against hers. She groans into your mouth, her hand tugging at your hip now. Does she want you closer? If you get any closer, you'll be in her lap. Does she know that?
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.
You break the kiss, pulling back as if you've just been burned. Out of breath and more than a little disoriented, you're relieved to see that you're not the only one in such a state. Lex is almost panting, licking her lips as she watches you. It's as your eyes follow the movement of her tongue that you realize your hands are still on either side of her face. You remove them, averting your gaze and standing before Lex can see how affected you are.
You clear your throat. "That was good -- good practice. You're good at that." You wince at your own words as you turn to walk around the couch, heading toward the door. "Anyway -- Pizza."
You have no idea how you're going to get through this.

Strawberry Flavoured Love
Ahahahahah heyyy. I did a rewrite of season 4 episode 5 kind of. purely based on @golden-redhead 's post about five getting a thank you and a genuine hug from his siblings. Sorry if you hate this though, I've never written for tua before!
6 years five months and one day.
Five turned over to see Lila sleeping a smile playing on her lips. This past month, that had been the only time he'd seen her smile. When she was dreaming.
It had been a sort of strange adjustment for her, he supposed. Being stuck so long never sat too well for Lila whether it was as a suburban mom or in this subway hellscape.
Five had adjusted remarkably well to their predicament... Lila had adjusted better than most. He could imagine being down here with someone like Diego who would have broken dowm months if not years ago.
Out of all his siblings, he figured Klaus would be the most enjoyable to spend this time with, him or Viktor.
That being said, Lila had proven to be more than mediocre company. He'd even go as far as to say, she was an almost pleasant person to be around.
She hadn't said a word about his reaction to seeing Dolores after all these years. His outburst had surprised even himself.
She'd just hugged him, wiped his tears and made rat stew. They hadn't talked about it since. He was sure he had to do something to thank her, something to show his appreciation and it found him in the form of a strawberry farm.
"I've got something to show you," he told her once she had woken up
"I'm guessing it's not a portal back home,"
"It's a shower and a bed to sleep in,"
She frowned slightly before eyeing five, "You're not giving up are you? Because I'd hate to do this whole thing on my own,"
Five rolled his eyes, "I'm giving you a chance to shower, trust me you need it." Lila eyed him before shrugging, "Ok then,"
It was about an hour later when they found themselves situated, behind the strawberry plants picking and occasionally eating in silence.
"Grace loves strawberries," Lila whispered softly and five's heart hurt for her. He'd spent more of his life away from his family than with them but he understood how she felt. Helpless but driven, tired but still willing to keep moving.
He turned back to his own strawberry plot, "We'll just have to pack some to take with us," he replied simply, pushing some of his pile to the side and placing them in a makeshift bag before turning to face her, "We're going to be back soon, you will see your family again," he said and she laughed wryly
"You said that yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that,"
"And I'll keep saying it until we get back,"
Lila sighed, and Five shifted on his feet. He suddenly wished that Diego was here. They were going through their troubles but Five sort of applauded his older brother.
They had had an awful blueprint for relationships, and that was putting it lightly. It was surprising but admirable that Diego was able to have a family like that; weirdly, Five was kind of proud of his brother.
"About Diego," he started and Lila frowned before her expression melted into something more wistful. "He's... my brother,"
Lila rolled her eyes, "Oh really?"
"In the sense that he's annoying and rushes into stuff and he can be brash, but he's a good guy,"
"I don’t know Five. It's great being able to see my parents again, being able to know my family? That's something I never even dreamed was possible. And I love my kids ok, I love my kids but marriage? That's- "
"Marriage only works as long as you’re willing to make it work,"
"Yes but-"
"Are you willing to make it work?"
Lila paused, looking down at the strawberries for a while before responding "Yes I am,"
"And so is Diego,"
Lila scoffed a small smile playing on her lips and Five smiled inwardly. He felt strangely accomplished.
"When'd you get so wise about marriage? Huh old man?" She joked elbowing him
"I guess Dolores taught me a few things," Five responded, sorting more strawberries.
"That she did."
-
6 years 5 months and 2 days
There was something beautiful about finally cracking a code. He'd personally never been involved in the world of drugs but Five supposed that this would be what a hit felt like.
Out of this fucking world.
He stumbled over to Lila shaking her, "I've got it!" He said, "I've cracked it we can go home!"
Her eyes opened and she blinked at him blearily, "What?" She muttered
"We're going home," Five responded placing a hand on her shoulder, "You're going to see your kids again"
"Am I dreaming- ow!" She asked before glaring at Five who had punched her hard enough to let her know that this was real.
"C'mon, we don't have much time left,"
"We never have much time left," she muttered getting up.
The walk back was full of tension, on Five's part he wasn't that worried. For his siblings, this had been a couple of hours. Lila however was fretting.
"Do you think they'll remember me? My kids, my family, Diego..."
"It's only been a couple of hours for them remember? They probably think you went out or something, d'you have the strawberries?"
She nodded, wiping her palms on her trousers before walking up to her door.
She was about to put her key in the lock before the door opened revealing Diego.
"Where've you been? I missed you!" He exclaimed and both Lila and Five's eyes widened. Did he somehow know something?
He embraced Lila who was fighting back tears, burying her face in Diego's shoulder.
"I missed you too,"
Five walked inside not trying to get in the middle of their moment. Walking into the living room he caught sight of the rest of his siblings. He hesitated, thinking about the subway. It was probably something he should tell them about.
"You alright Five you look kinda pale," he heard Luther ask
"Doesn't he always look kind of pale?" He heard Allison whisper
"This is a more... haunted pale than his usual pallour," Klaus chimed in
"Guys..."
"Five!" He heard, turning around to see Diego, he was about to say something when Lila noticed Grace and immediately ran to her.
"Mommy, you're squeezing me too tight!" The girl exclaimed to which Lila hugged her even tighter before loosening the hold, "Where are the twins?"
"Kitchen, come on!" Grace responded tugging on her mothers hand.
Five watched the scene unfold a small smile on his face reaching for the strawberries before he felt a hand on his back.
"Lila told me everything, I just... I want to say thank you,"
Five turned to face his brother, nodding but before he could speak, Diego had bent and wrapped his arms around him. "And thank you for everything else you've done. For us I mean, thank you for saving us, thank you for choosing us. We do love you Five, I hope you know that."
Five was (to say the least) shocked. The last time he had hugged any of his siblings was... could he even remember? Not any time in the last six years... or the six years before that.
He reciprocated the hug anyway although he still felt awkward
"You're family," he said, "I'll always choose you,"
Diego just hugged him tighter in response, staying that way for about a minute before pulling apart. Five barely had a moment to breathe before Klaus pulled him into another hug.
"If Diego gets a five hug, I get a five hug," he said simply to which he got a small smile in response
"Well now I feel left out," Luther complained standing up, and looking at Five who rolled his eyes in response before sighing and opening his arms.
Luther, as he would later admit to himself, was probably the best hugger out of all his siblings.
"Alright," he said turning to face the rest of his siblings, "Are we done?"
Allison and Viktor eyed each other before looking at Five. Viktor got up first awkwardly surveying five before wrapping his arms around him.
"Guess that was about as awkward for you as it was for me," he said pulling away
"I've been through worse things," Five mused to which Viktor laughed
"I guess we all have,"
"Well?" Five said facing Allison, "I've got about one left in me,"
"A five hug is the best type of hug," Klaus commented giving Allison a look
"Plus we've all done it, you don't want to feel left out," Luther quipped
Allison sighed before getting up and walking towards five. She bent down and hugged him gingerly.
"I am sorry for everything," she whispered, Five nodded in response and she pulled back.
"Now that everyone's done, Lila and I have something to tell you."
It was strange how six years five months and two days could be condensed into five minutes and about a half bowl of strawberries. Five almost smiled and the strangeness of it.
"It seems like you're always finding your way back to us," Luther mused as the weight of his and Lila's revelation eased slightly.
"I guess it's a good thing, that way we stop the world from ending," Allison said
"Ending huh," Viktor muttered
"Either way, you always end up saving us," Luther finished, "I'm not sure we've ever thanked you for that,"
"Well, staying alive is thanks enough," Five responded
"No, no, the big guy's right," Klaus chimed, "Our thanking should be oratory, expressive. You've saved our lives so many times now,"
"And you spent like forty years in the apocalypse," Viktor said
"Plus six years in the subway with Lila,"
"I think what we're trying to say is thank you," Diego finished
"Merci merci Five-a-rino, I suppose we owe are lives to you," Klaus added.
"Thank you Five," Luther said, squeezing his shoulder.
"Can't promise I won't fuck it up again but thank you," Allison echoed
"If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have been able to get closure with dad so... yeah thank you," Viktor mused giving Five a half smile.
Five himself wasn't really sure what to think about the whole situation. Appreciation was always welcome, but for his siblings to all be in agreement and sincere... that touched his heart somewhat.
"You're welcome," he replied. The statement felt perfunctory in the wake of the others' vulnerability so he cleared his throat and tried again.
"I mean, all this is... I would do it over again. You all aggravate me to no end but at the end of the day there's really nothing that means more to me than you all,"
There wasn't much to say to that, but there was an agreement that nothing more really needed to be said. For once, the siblings were at peace and Five was ... well he was happy.
He wasn't sure what would come next, if there would even be a next but he knew that sitting here he felt more ok than he had in years.
And really, what more could an old man want?
#am i getting better at endings guys??? i actually can't tell#anyways hope you enjoyed this!! Christmas music filled the house, the sounds of Mariah Carey's voice filling your ears as you heard her hit song for the millionth time since November started. Your wife had always loved the holidays, and at any time during November through the beginning of January, you were forced to hear every Christmas song and movie under the sun. It's not like you minded though. It made you happy to see her uplifted by the spirit of wreaths and Christmas trees, despite her occasional worry that you found it annoying.
One thing she never liked, however, was putting up the tree. To her, putting up the tree was annoying and a dirty chore that she preferred to watch you do. But since the tree you had gotten this year was allowed to be larger due to your new house, you needed more labor to bring it in.
"This stupid thing is getting pine needles everywhere," Wanda grumbled as the two of you placed the perfectly sized evergreen tree into its stand in the corner of your living room.
"Baby, we can clean them up later," You chuckled, "Plus, we're almost done, then we can put up all the fun stuff!"
"I guess," The redhead next to you smiled sweetly.
You simply rolled your eyes in a joking manner, a bright smile forming on your face as the tree locked into place.
"See! Wasn't so hard now was it?" You smirked, putting your hands on your hips, not noticing the stray pieces of pine in your hair.
Wanda smiled in pride of her partner, taking your wrist in her hand and raising her feet to pluck the green needles out of your hair. Once she finished, she quickly kissed your cheek to secure the cleanliness.
"No dekta, it wasn't," She smiled with a laugh, dropping the plants on the floor.
"Alright, can you go downstairs and get the tree decorations tub? It's bright red with a green lid," You asked her, kissing her on the nose once you had grabbed the scissors to cut the net off your tree.
Your wife nodded quickly, running down the stairs into the basement, leaving you to fix the tree.
Once Wanda returned with the box, you removed the lid to reveal all the colorful ornaments of different shapes and sizes. Looking up at the redhead, you noticed her eyes sparkling at the sight of all the lights and other decorations in the bin.
"You hypnotized over there Wands?" You teased her, waving your hand in front of her line of vision, laughing a bit once she jumped back out of her little trance.
"Yes, I love Christmas, you know this," She smiled as she picked up the long strand of lights, going to plug them in to ensure they were all working.
"Yeah, I haven't heard normal music since Thanksgiving," You rolled your eyes, pulling out the shiny garland to untangle it. "All the lights working okay?"
Wanda nodded, her eyes focused heavily on the illuminated cord while she wrapped it around the tree. When you looked at her, you looked over at her. You could practically feel your heart melting at the sight of her smile. Ever since her workload as school board president had doubled, you had begun to truly miss her smile as it had been replaced with stressed frowns.
Taking your eyesight away from your lover, you walked over to the other side of the evergreen, standing at the top of the latter before placing it about the tree
You'd occasionally look over at the redhead below, who was making her way closer to where you were, and you'd just smile (which she was way too focused on the pretty lights to notice).
After a couple of minutes had passed, you felt something bump your hand, then heard your wife giggle.
"Well, hello there Y/n!" She chuckled, causing you to look down at your hands that had bumped into each other.
"Well, hello there Wanda," You smirked.
Wanda took your hand in hers, kissing it softly, her lips leaving a soft pink mark in their wake.
You blushed heavily, covering your face with the hand not holding the garland.
"Meanie," You muttered through your flustered expression, causing the redhead next to you to raise an eyebrow.
"Oh, I'll show you mean~" She teased, kissing your hand again before walking around you to continue decorating.
You blushed once again, looking upward with an expression of slight amusement.
"Alright Y/n!" Wanda smiled, looking at your now illuminated Christmas tree. "Now it's time for the ornaments!"
"Our favorite part!" You replied excitedly, getting on your knees to start handing each bulb to the older woman. "I'm going to give you every regular bulb we have first so we can look at the other cute ones later!"
The redhead nodded, taking each metal orb that would range in color and delicately placing it on the tree, her fingers tracing down to the bottom of it to admire the beauty before moving on to the next.
After handing her a garnishment, you'd watch Wanda put it on with the same fascination you had the day you first met, your eyes following her every move.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I must have been in your way-"
"Don't worry about it, sweetheart. I'm the one who ran into you!"
"Are you sure? I feel bad making you spill all your stuff!"
"I said don't worry about it, I'll get a discount for anything dented,"
"Hey, you're Ms. Maximoff, right? The head of the schoolboard?"
"What gave it away?"
Continuing your little assembly line, you'd get a glimpse of your tree adorning every new adornment, causing your smile to grow. Suddenly, your eyes locked on one of the objects in the bin as you had noticed every regular bauble had been put up. You quickly moved your body to grab it, your eyes widening at just the first clear glimpse of it.
"What's that one?" Wanda asked, noticing you slowing down to examine what you were holding.
"It's one from our wedding day. Remember the ones we gave out to everyone?" You asked, handing it to Wanda to put up on the tree.
"Oh, right! They have our initials engraved on them!" She exclaimed, her thumb running over the ceramic heart with each of your initials carved into it.
"I told your brother they we're cute, still don't know what his problem was," You rolled your eyes, remembering what Pietro had said about the ornaments being tacky, despite their minimalist nature.
"He was and still is an idiot, you know that," The older redhead chuckled, looking down at you. "Is that all of them?"
You shook your head,
"There's still one more," You smiled, getting on your toes to place a final decoration on the front center of the tree, a flat red ornament with the words "Our first Christmas married" written in green.
"When did you get that?" Your wife exclaimed, looking at it in shock.
"I got it on our honeymoon, I knew you'd like just a little," You smirked, kissing her softly on the lips.
"You thought right," She smiled as a single tear formed at the corner of her eye.
"Merry Christmas baby," You kissed her once again, looking at your tree.
"Merry Christmas dekta," Wanda replied, holding you tightly against her, joining your gaze at the beautiful evergreen in front of you two.

you know where the city is
a bit different today! we're doing write anything that you want to week with @imightgetbetter <3 today's theme is early matty, so i decided to write about hearing "the city" on the radio for the first time :-) hope you all enjoy! - love, 64
I watched his hands jump over each other on the steering wheel, driving us around another winding curve. It was almost a spectacle, watching the light expose his bare arms, travel up his black t-shirt and crawl up his neck, then disappear before it could illuminate his mouth. Then he’d be covered in darkness again, until we reached the next street lamp.
“You can drop me home, if you’d like,” I offered, turning down the radio so he could hear me.
“Come on, stop it,” he frowned, glancing over to me, “We can stay out as long as you want.”
“I think my parents-“
“They’re fine,” he interrupted, reaching a hand to squeeze my knee, “They like me, don’t they?”
“Maybe not after tonight,” I quipped, rolling the window down. The air here always felt like a childhood memory, like after-school walks and first kisses. I liked the way it blew against his curls, frizzing the ends. He pushed a few strands behind his ear.
“I’ll get you home soon,” he sighed, hand firmly planted against my thigh, “Just wanted to show you one thing.”
"Oh, are you surprising me?" my voice wavered with excitement. He nodded, bottom lip wet as he smiled.
"I was out driving with the guys-"
"I don't want to know," I said quickly, earning a boyish giggle.
"No, it was very innocent, babe. I'm behaving, I promise," he stated, but his grin said otherwise. He looked at me from the corner of his eye, finding me unconvinced, "Whatever, I'll just show you."
"You boys need to focus on the band," I scolded, fingers tracing his cuticles.
He scoffed, "You know how committed I am."
"Mhm," I hummed, "You're very good, you know."
"I know," he half-joked. His palm opened around the steering wheel as he turned a corner. Trees were thick on either side of the road, the pavement transitioning to gravel.
"Where the fuck are we going," I whined, "Is this where you finally murder me in the woods?"
"Yeah, I've got the axe in the back," he nodded, slapping my thigh playfully. The radio was cutting out, fizzling with static as we drove further into the wooded area. I changed the station, trying to find one that was intelligible. We approached a clearing, and I switched the station once more, hand frozen when I heard a familiar punctuated bass drum. He slammed on the brakes. I lurched forward, hand against the dash.
"Is this..." I paused, staring at him with parted lips. He threw the car in park, tangling his hands in his hair.
"Holy shit," he whispered, stars in his eyes, "Holy shit!"
"What the fuck!" I yelled, grabbing him by the shoulders.
"What the fuck!" he returned, jaw hanging open. I could see the tears rimming his waterline, and he quickly covered his face with his hands. "I sent this song to every fucking station I know, but nobody got back to me, I-" He interrupted himself with a guttural scream. I screamed back at him, the car reverberating with his voice on the radio.
He dropped his hands to my neck, searching my face wildly. My face was aching from my splitting grin, my pulse crawling up my ears.
"This is it," I mumbled, tears stinging behind my eyes, "This is really it."
"I can't fucking believe it," he cried, grabbing my jaw and pulling my mouth to his. He laughed against my lips, emotions swirling between us. He kissed every unspoken word into my mouth, and I could taste the excitement like pennies on my tongue. He pulled back to scream the chorus, and I joined him, chanting the words wholeheartedly. I dropped my head on his shoulder, finding a sky of milky stars mirroring the faint lights of the city below.
"Don't forget me when you're all rich and famous," I whispered, wrapping my fingers around his.
"Couldn't if I tried, love," he smiled, "How could I ever forget this?"

"So what do you think?" Vince asked in a rasp, sitting down on the shitty couch and grimacing. The flu had taken a toll on him and even though he felt much better, all the moving around and loading and unloading of boxes hadn't helped.
There was still so much in the car, but Vince didn't have it in him to finish unpacking. His father would come over the next day and he could help.
"I like it..." Wendy mumbled, wringing her hands together.
When Vince had told her the plan was never to move in with his parents — in truth he wasn't sure how she had even assumed that since he had asked her to move with him as well — Wendy had looked about ready to cry.
The same distraught, heartbroken look she had displayed on her face that very moment, walking around the tiny apartment Vince had rented near the school he'd be starting at the next day.
"Are you sure? Because you look like you think this place is haunted," Vince teased her lightly, rubbing his chest. All the heaving and puking from three days before had left him with a perpetually sore abdomen, his lungs aching.
"No, I like it, it's-" Wendy breathed in, pulled on her corset top in order to collect herself and brushed some imaginary dust off, "it's cute. Could use a fresh layer of paint," she regained some of her usual sass and Vince smiled at the clearly forced attitude.
He got up from the couch, wrapping his arms around her from behind and squeezing his girlfriend. Wendy stiffened up for a second, before melting against him, shoulders dropping.
"I fucking hate that you're leaving," she whined, fingers closing around his wrist and keeping him hugging her, "I fucking hate this place and I hate that I- I want to move here, but I-"
Vince pressed his lips to her temple, bending down in order to kiss her cheek, "no, you don't. It's only going to be a year, honey."
"A year, right," Wendy sighed, looking all sorts of defeated, "a year until we break up."
"A year for us to try long distance," Vince corrected, ignoring the way his heart squeezed at her words. He had no plans of breaking up, but the fact that Wendy kept bringing it up as if it was a fact didn't help in the least to reassure him she wouldn't break things off, "then if it doesn't work, we'll think of something else."
"We're only delaying the inevitable," Wendy mumbled, nails digging in his arm and he let out a sigh, kissing her temple again.
"We are not breaking up," he promised her, "not unless you dump me," it was meant to be a joke, but he was genuinely scared of it and it came out as a question.
Wendy let out a scoff and he could almost hear her rolling her eyes. Vince squeezed her a little tighter, "honey, my parents did long distance when in college and look at them," he said, trying to sound optimistic, "practically hired actors for a margarine ad."
She let out a little watery chuckle at that and nodded, "I know... I know, you're right..." Wendy leaned back, then wrinkled her nose in distaste, "but really, this apartment is so ugly."
Vince let out his first real laugh, deep in his chest and rumbling against her back. Wendy smiled, eyes stinging at the fact she would no longer wake up every morning feeling him all but purr with soft snores, the exact same vibration she was feeling right now.
"Yeah, it's lacking some pink, don't you think?" he teased her, planting a kiss on her neck, "and some glitter."
She rolled her eyes, "I'm not sure about glitter for your little bachelor pad-"
"I'm happily taken," Vince scoffed, his voice muffled by her hair, breath brushing her ear, "stay the night?"
She knew what he was doing, trying to distract her with sex, the issue was... It was working. Wendy turned on his arms, shaking her head, "I can't, I have work tomorrow morning. But I'm gonna see you Friday and you're going to call me tomorrow night, right?"
He nodded, "yeah, probably during lunch as well-" Vince bumped his nose with hers, bending nearly in half to kiss her and wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling Wendy off her feet.
This was so unfair, Wendy thought viciously, as Vince's hands dropped from her waist to her ass and she locked her legs around his torso, them stumbling back and falling on the cheap couch.
The furniture let out a groan under their weight and Vince muffled a chuckle against her mouth, feverish kisses dragging down her lips, her jaw, her neck-
"I really have to leave," she groaned, pushing him back. Vince let out a sigh, resting his forehead to her chest, since she had some height sitting on his lap.
"Alright, alright..." he planted a kiss the exposed skin, "text me when you get home?"
"Okay," Wendy nodded, before stealing another peck, "use the red shirt tomorrow, it fits really well."
"Yes, ma'am," Vince kissed her again and it took Wendy all of her self control to pull back, pushing him away. He walked her back to her car and it took them at least another handful of kisses, before Wendy found strength enough to hit the road.
She meant to go home, but just the thought of her empty apartment made her shudder and the knot in her chest get even tighter. Wendy parked the car in front of Jonah's building and quickly shot him a text, as well as letting Vince know she was home safe. A little lie he didn't need to know.
Jonah was wearing his olive silk pajamas set when he opened the door, looking super sleepy.
"Dee, what-"
"I can't sleep in my house tonight," she pouted and Jon's frown cleared up immediately. Her wordlessly stepped aside from the door and Wendy entered, noticing most of the lights were off. She had no idea what time it was, but it had already been nearly ten when she left Doveport.
"C'mere," Jonah sighed, wrapping her up in a hug and Wendy squeezed her eyes shut, sinking into his arms. He was warm, clearly taken out of bed.
Her eyes burned, stinging with tears, throat aching as she was doing her best not to cry. Jonah's chin pressed on the top of her head, "it'll pass," he whispered, "you're alright, I got you."
"Can I stay?"
"I'm not kicking you out at 2 AM," He scoffed, squeezing her a little tighter, "c'mon."
Wendy didn't say a thing as Jonah guided her further into the apartment and she didn't even register when they passed by the guest room. It only downed on her once they entered the master suite and she saw Leo curled up on his side, with JD happily asleep against his stomach.
She frowned, but Jonah simply yawned and slipped under the blankets on his side of the bed, lifting the covers as a wordless invitation.
Wendy chewed on her lip, but it was an empty gesture. She needed this, to be wrapped up and squeezed until her heart glued back together and she could be her powerful self in the morning.
She kicked off her shoes and crawled on the bed, taking half of Jon's pillow. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her close, yawning.
"Thank you," Wendy whispered, cuddling as close as she could and closing her eyes.
"Anytime, darling," Jonah yawned in return.
