       the thing about petra is that she doesn’t really have a lot of people she cares for. i think that’s partially because not a lot of people care about her either, which i mean… i wouldn’t say she intentionally makes it difficult for people to become part of her life but she’s not exactly the easiest person to deal with i guess? but anyway, i feel like because the list of people she cares about is short af, plus the fact that she’s someone who will usually put her best interests first before others’, it sometimes comes across like she doesn’t care about anyone but herself but i definitely don’t think that’s true. 

and i was gonna list down a handful of things she’s done for other people but i decided i’ll just pick two that show both ends of the what petra does when she cares spectrum : ( first ) is a super small moment that happened late in season one when she and raf were becoming close again, there was this one scene where petra came into his office and told him she noticed that the lights were on so she figured he was pulling a late night and here, i made you some coffee. and ( second ) is that time in season two when jane and michael were house hunting and not only did petra call raf out when she felt he was being selfish, she also subsidized jane’s rent so she can live in her dream house without taking credit or getting anything in return and i mean… if that’s not love caring idk what is.
