Well I can't offer UK political comedy (not being from the UK) but I can offer, in place of drip marketing, drip (nuclear) policy-making from the Australian "Liberal" (right-wing) Party, who seem to have made it up as a differentiation point from the current government but refuse to release the details all at once because they "won't be bullied" by people asking questions like "Where?*", "When?**" or "Why?***". What are your top 4 favorite BL shows that are currently airing?

Okay! So I'm actually gonna do this one in two parts. First part is 'favorites that are ending soon' and then 'favorites overall that aren't those' because three shows started while I was on a road trip and I want to start responding to this before I spent like two hours catching up and seeing if anything moves around.

ANYWAY.

Currently airing and soon finishing (aka at least if not more/close to than halfway done)...

Tokyo in April is...: This is glorious. It's a Japanese BL that's like Our Dating Sim meets My Beautiful Man in the most Japanese way possible and with so much pain but also beauty... I adore this show. It's about two teenagers who were best friends who had crushes on each other but put the other person on pedestal and the pain that brings, especially after an involuntary separation that neither of them fully understand for completely different reasons.

La Pluie: This show. I am destroyed. I love them so much. The deconstruction of soulmates and the deconstruction of romance tropes while still honoring the love stories that they're trying to tell. This is one of my favorite shows ever at this point and they just need to stick the landing, damnit.

Dinosaur Love: Look, is this a pulp? Yes. But it's got the sweetest main lead who's also very much the honest and straightforward type with his hurt and scared bunny that he's flirting with and taking care of. Fair warning for self harm and assault but none of it done by the lead character who is doing a great job being a total sweetheart and saying the right thing.

Step By Step: This show is falling apart more than a bit at the end but it's doing so by being too realistic and not BL enough. Very much a realistic office romance between the two leads but the side couple is a real disaster in almost every sense. They've messed up the slow burn at the end but the rest was just oh so sweet.

Okay, now I'm gonna go catch up, come back, and then tell you if I would add any of the three that just started to this list, since Step By Step and La Pluie are both ending this week.

Stay By My Side is a Taiwanese BL (FINALLY! YAY!) and it's darling if a bit on the nose... I fell in love with the two idiots quickly but episode 2 is starting to push deeper on the concept and I'm down for it. But it is absolutely idiot 4 idiot romance.

Hidden Agenda is the new GMMTV show and it's definitely interesting, lots of 'everything has a secondary agenda and everyone has something else besides their main goal... except the main character who is fairly straightforward' kind of thing.

Also, just for you, Ja and First are in a new BL called Be Mine Superstar and it's definitely a fan/idol romance.
