supernatural has always been meta but the post-show experience keeps getting more and more intense and I'm not even sure it's all haha funny anymore.

started in 2005 as a manly american man show and ended as the gay and homophobic show and ever since its been getting gayer and gayer.

No im sorry, why is it that hearing anything about the supernatural cast, especially post-spn, is the most chaotic unexpected thing you ever hear but it’s always serious. Like they aren’t even joking. Jared finding about about spn spinoff via twitter and then losing his mind on twitter in front of everyone instead of calling Jensen or like literally anyone that isn’t twitter. Spn cast members from s2 and s5 getting in arguments with fans about seasons they weren’t even there for and acting like they know better bc they were on the show 10 years ago. Misha coming out as straight. Now Garth and Benny?! I. I’m happy for them but I. I need a minute. Why is this like. The most normal thing I’ve heard about the spn cast after spn. Two cast members getting married is the most normal news you could probably hear from a cast but like. Idk. Idk. I’m happy for them tho.

All the talk about the destiel reciprocation giving me war flashbacks to late 2020 dealing with this for the first time and now we know the reciprocation was in the OG script I'm gonna once again claim that it was AFTER Cas was taken.

I don't think Dean reciprocated to Cas before he was taken by the Empty.

I think he said "I love you too" or some variation of it whilst he was sitting collapsed on the floor ignoring Sam's calls.

Thats what Jackles had to do additional dubbing for after all. It makes more sense and is more painful if he only says it AFTER and that fits the tone of the scene better. The scene was so clearly chopped up and heavily edited but I still think thats the best place for it.

A whispered fragile broken "I love you too" whilst Dean realises his last chance for real happiness has just been ripped away from him. Yeah.
