Quick Update!

Sorry again guys that I got busy!

Life has been kicking my butt and I have a bad case of executive disfunction, but I'm looking for a way to make this whole blog a bit more streamlined!

First if you may have noticed, I've updated my username from animalcrossingbirthdayboard to Unofficial Digby!

Second, I think what I may do is make a calendar for each month that shows every birthday, and pin that to the top of the blog? That way even if I disappear, you'll have a quick reference with every birthday available each month!

This will also be useful as I'll probably be moving soon, and unsure of my internet for at least a week. and with artfight, it's just a lot on my plate all at once

“Meet the Uruks” BAZUR, GRUGZÛK, LURKA (”DIGBY”), MAGROT,  VRATH, “FABIO”, “FURY(?)” (”unofficial names”)

Uruks in The Rings of Power   In the Nerd of the Rings interview (https://youtu.be/eDJ9SgAyjL4) the uruk cast talk about some of their orcs. They each played more (“at least two characters”) than the uruk we know the name of, some of them got a nickname from the cast. Most about the individual orcs is mentioned within the first 15 Minutes. How they portrayed them depended on aspects like what their job is (digger orcs or fighting orcs) and in general they “came from a basis of them trying to be more upright, not as crouchy than the ones we played in the third age.” Jed Brophy speaks more about them having a lot of talks regarding the physicality of the orcs with the movement coaches and about wanting to make them more upright. (e.g. as them trying to emulate their elven father, and because they are probably the first generation bred, rather than ones that were taken and tortured from elvendom, “if you give credence to what Tolkien was talking about.”) They talk about their physicality being not as broken as the one of the orcs that are seen in the Third Age. The way they approach playing different characters also revolves a lot around the different places of how they breathe and where they put the tension (~12:30) when moving etc.

Robert Strange LURKA  - they say they were lucky they had a tall orc (but don´t go into why that´s lucky?) - For Lurka Strange tried to let the sculpt influence the physicality - but they don´t see the full makeup long before the shoot, there does not seem to be much time between the makeup test and the shooting - Lurka´s scar on the left side of his face and the cataract scarred contact lens meant that Strange let a tooth stick out on that side and did a limp on that side, as if this was a war wound or some kind of scuffle with a warg! - Instagram post: “Meet my first Orc baby: LURKA. ojo : a little snow bunny who's name translates to "little happiness" . the youngest and runt of her family with four older brothers , but certainly not the weakest . holds pride in her heritage and the old folktales , and resents a.rktos' efforts to try to rid of them and generally looking down on snow hares . young blood rebellion made her a delinquent , but her hubris got her trapped in an icicle by some guards after attempting to steal one of the snow sentry's carrot noses , but was freed by t.abaluga . she's perky , quick on her feet , and strong-willed . loves food ( especially carrots ) and is almost always hungry , and is fastest of the group .

bully : a ladybug , who claims to be extremely lucky . he's a bit of a huck finn , often lazy and doesn't worry himself with the hustle and bustle of the bees and ants-- but often rushes to the queen bee when things go wrong ( he's her ward ) . despite being a loudmouth , he's one of t.abaluga's oldest friends . he has good sense , both in humor , common sense , and intuition . maybe there is something to be said about luck in this bug .

digby : a common mole , who naturally wears thick glasses . he's the brains of the group , or in very least , the book-smarts . timid and a bit clumsy on the surface , he's prone to the comforts of his underground haven , often taking cover at the first sight of danger . yet compared to his fellow timid kindred , he's quite the brave heart , and would dig to the depths of the underworld for his friends . he's got vast knowledge about dirt ( which only lilli listens to intently ) , and secretly has a great fascination towards eisworld's technology .

the last unofficial member of this merry band is limbo , a polar bear . stationed as one of a.rtkos' guards , the bear is a friend hidden in plain sight , always ready to crack a joke or lend a big paw . an artist at heart , who had little choice in joining the ranks of arktos' empire , limbo is easygoing and warmhearted . the temperament of a giant dog , sometimes forgets that his size and can be intimidating . after lilli spared his life , he swore loyalty to her specifically . he is , essentially , what james is to a.rktos , but their bond is built on genuine friendship . he's the older brother type to the group , and a.rktos can never come to the conclusion of his treachery .

This is a question I've been wondering for a while now what are you going to do after you have all the birthdays? Will you still have them queued or reblogged? Or... Yeah, uhm---, yeah! Have a day as lovely as you are ✨

I've been doing these for a little over 2 years now, so my plan is to keep going unless something else comes up! I got a job recently for a call center, and I'm looking for an apartment still (my current landlord has to sell this place soon, their business that funded this place failed because of the pandemic), so I may have a hiccup in the next month (I plan to queue beforehand but we never know how setting up new internet will go), but otherwise I plan to keep going indefinitely!

If I ever become too busy for this or too caught up in my own life, as I tailor each post the day/week of the birthday, I plan to eventually open position to some mods who can take on other Unofficial NPC voices, either by doing what I do with the wiki and the blurb, or by helping boost the birthday fun by reblogging art of the different villagers on their birthdays!

I tend not to queue too far in advance or reblog old posts, as every year my posts gain more info! Like the posts from this time last year didn't have the gift ideas yet, and the year before didn't have the hobbies (and 2 years ago was still with the grainy new leaf pictures) - so each post is a new one to showcase the villager! Plus, a reblog doesn't show true appreciation :P

Happy Birthday Pavé!!

This fancy peacock is the KING of festivale, the animal crossing holiday based on Mardi Gras! His pronouns are he/him/ Pavé and his favorite things are dancing and festivale! Every feather color flying in the sky during Festivale is a color from Pavé’s tail! Pavé cares not about gender ideals, for Pavé has the most gender of any animal crossing character.  Pavé IS the gender! The love of my life, KK Slider! A nudist musician with a heart of gold, who never forgets our anniversaries! He plays the plaza most Saturdays, excluding when other events cause him to reschedule for Sundays! So we are ending 2021 with someone complaining about my little positive life updates that I put at the very end of some posts.

Because clearly, knowing the person who posts daily is doing okay is too much...especially after the past few years.

Digby is going to be honest for a minute here: this is hard, I post birthday posts to a void, and whenever I mention something about myself I get anger. Whenever I post trans positive birthday posts I get anonymous hate in my ask box. I’ve been sent asks telling me to do bad things to myself over some of the fun “unofficial” things I say, like Label being trans (yes, self-harm baiting, over a hedgehog being trans). 

So sometimes, I want to include positive life updates at the very end of posts. Sometimes it helps to drop that I’m doing well for y’all to see. Because if I just stop posting one day, no one would know what happened, if I’m doing okay, where the posts are. Sometimes it helps to be positive and include life updates so y’all don’t worry about me. 

So I implore you guys. 

2022 is coming up. The goat burned. We have booster shots and new goals. New jobs, new opportunities. If you see your local unofficial dog posting life updates, don’t hate on the dog. They are working hard to do this blog on top of working daily, taking certifications, and everything else in their life! They are still struggling to find a decent online therapist! 

Be kind this year. 

Be understanding when someone wants to include a life update.

And don’t send hate messages because someone said a fake animal character is trans.

This snooty goat gets her name, glasses, hair, and freckles from the Scooby Doo character, Velma Dinkley! She’s also trans, but she doesn’t mind her beard hair, as it is soft and pretty! She has the education hobby, and she can often be found with her nose in a book, studying new ways to solve mysteries! She’s skilled at speed reading, and one day she’s going to be a lawyer, so she can put real estate agents where they belong (behind bars)! She loves mochas with lots of milk and sugar, and her favorite song is Mr. KK! Wish her a very happy birthday, blih!
