I saw this post and had a vision haha.

Phew! This painting took a while. So... let me indulge you in some details about this.

I didn't choose to bathe it in very warm, sunset colours just because they are pretty. Those are the colours of Arvel's 2 title screen. In fact, you can bathe my entire blog in those colours by clicking the option to switch to light mode =] (on desktop at least)

The dark night colours are based on Arvel 1's title screen. And the entire switching between day and night is a refrence itself to Arvale Short Tales, where night and day play a huge role! Heh ehe heh.

The room itself is based on... well, Anna's room!

The kid in the foreground is Alex, another character who has a close relationship with DeMenchev. He even appears in the good ending screen so of course I had to put him in here as well. =)

So we're all pretty well acquainted with that face Emmrich makes if you tell him he's your first ever partner, but I don't think we talk enough about how, as he looks away and once he's worked through that first wave of initial shock, he smiles. It's a slow, small little thing, but his eyes grow so soft. His features just become so tender. The man is radiating affection. He's not off put, he's not upset or disappointed. Nervous, perhaps; anxious to make sure your first experience with a relationship isn't some catastrophic failure. But he's also charmed by the admission. This is a man who's so utterly gaga for romance and love. The idea that his partner has never found anyone else compelling enough to pursue until him? Whatever sense of worry he might feel at what a lack of experience might imply, he still finds himself smitten with the notion that someone would value him in such a way.

I kind of made him look like victor and Henry's lovechild LOL. Though basing it off Henry more. I think it's silly and gay but also if I go down the route of how when victor saw Clerval it brought with him memories of home and his family, and the fact that the creature destroys that one by one is very silly to me.

Kind of crazy how convoluted certain aspects of American politics are and how little the average person knows outside of whatever political ideology they’ve been around. To this day so many people don’t know Hillary Clinton won popular vote or had a massive voter turnout I can’t tell you how many times I’ve met people who are stunned to hear this because they genuinely thought she lost because people wouldn’t vote for a woman + didn’t know it was possible to win popular vote and lose the election.

A while back I was having a conversation with my friend and I said I wasn’t voting for Joe Biden and he said “you’re voting for trump?” Which did initially shock me and I said no I’m voting third party and he said “what other party is there?”. There is a level of ignorance that some people can maintain their entire lives because they don’t really have a reason to think things are more complicated than they appear which often comes from a combination of having the ability to ignore things because they don’t affect you but also the lack of education and lack of easy access to education on basic structures and processes and practices of our government. I am both proud of my own effort but also aware I am lucky to have had the ability to get into politics young and form my own thoughts and opinions early.

there’s a lot of people who fundamentally agree with many aspects of leftism and oppose the actions of the American government but either are not fully aware of the big picture or don’t use the same terminology to say it. What I will say is the average working class person with an iffy grasp on politics tends to be way more receptive to a lot of different ideas than “liberal in leftist clothing” types who are ready to throw away any advocation for entire groups of people being allowed to stay alive aside the second they think their own rights might have a chance of being threatened
