You know what we need in the world? Dreamling in the backrooms. Idc if Dream is an entity, if Hob is an entity, if they are both human, if it's Endless Dream and immortal Hob both just going through the backrooms, or whatever. I just think it'd be funny

I'm out of touch so I had to look it up 😂 I'm imagining Hob as part of a group of friends who go adventuring in inadvisable places, and Dream as some creature that just kind of got stuck there, like, maybe he's a sleep paralysis demon that's supposed to exist in the liminal space between sleep and waking but he kinda got stuck in the real world and now he can only exist in physical liminal spaces instead. He is very sad and lonely and wants to go back to the dream world. Anyway. Hob's friends are all like you shouldn't go in there Hob what if you encounter The Entity and Hob, a known idiot, is like well what if The Entity wants a friend did you think of that? Also YOLO.

So Hob does go in there and it turns out The Entity is just this sad and wet guy that's sitting on the floor dripping ink and viscera everywhere, at first Hob thinks he's a ghost because he's kind of clipping in and out of reality, but no, turns out not. Instead of running away, Hob, a known insane person, is like wow... what a beautiful strange and demonic entity! Listen he's always been a bit of a monsterfucker. It's part of why he goes adventuring in inadvisable places, where else are you gonna meet monsters?

So he tries to befriend Dream; this is the first time someone tried to talk to Dream in years so he's very terrified of it, but eventually he's like "It's no use, Hob, I am stuck here in this liminal space, the only way I could potentially get out is through dreams but no one is going to want to let a sleep paralysis demon start living in their head."

And Hob's like "okay... so listen"

kaishin friends!!!! please help me find this one kaishin fic i read in ffnet (i think). it's about:

kaito being accused of a crime (i think murder?) but he can't give an alibi cause he was doing some kaitou kid stakeout or something

it was in a snowy area? i remember the house where the jewel kaito was checking out was was on a snowy mountain (?)

i'm not sure but i think hakuba was desperately trying to make kaito spill what he was doing that night so he can have an alibi but kaito doesn't want to reveal he's kid

at this point i don't think kaito and shinichi "know" each other yet in their civilian identities but shinichi shows up to the station all rugged and disheveled (cos he was up all night trying to prove kaito's innocence)

i remember people being bewildered by why shinichi would go so far for someone he "doesn't know"

i remember that it was an old lady witness who saw kaito walking the night of the crime that proved kaito's innocence (?)

I'm pretty sure I'm not making this up but I really can't find this fic or maybe I missed it through my search ;-; I probably read this in late 2021 or early 2022 and I wanna reread it so bad because tired shinichi my beloved LOL. If you know it or can find it, please hit me up thank you!!!!

Barnacles is an EXTREMELY powerful waterbender from the North Pole, with a strong love for icebending—he defaults to it most of the time. He can use all subforms of waterbending, but they're a bit harder.

Kwazii's the Avatar, but he's still a pirate AND he's a natural firebender, so he still has that "scary and dangerous" reputation. He's afraid of using his firebending, because he hates it. Barnacles is teaching him waterbending, and he's pretty good at it. So far he sucks at earthbending, and his airbending is okay, but if he gets worked up it can accidentally come out as fire... which, yeah.

Peso is an airbender, and the first one in his family. He's not very skilled at bending, and he can't fly very well, and sometimes wishes he was a waterbender, like Barnacles. That way he'd be "stronger", and could utilize its healing abilities. He has an epiphany later on in the middle of S3 that makes him realize how powerful he really is, and he learns to fly :)

Tweak is an earthbender, which she inherited from her dad (maybe*). Like Barnacles, she has a love and preference for a specific subtype—in her case it's metalbending. She's very good at it. It's how she builds GUPs so fast.

Shellington is a waterbender. He doesn't use it very much, mainly because he's Not Great at controlling it—so you'll either end up getting lightly spit on or completely drenched in a tsunami by accident.

Dashi is a non-bender (with water tribe ancestry), which puts her at a disadvantage during some missions. However! She has all of her skills from the Canon Universe, plus the extra adaptiveness seen in non-benders in ATLA (Sokka, Suki, etc).

Inkling is also a non-bender, but he has studied the elements and different bending techniques his whole life. He's Kwazii's Monk Gyatso but with less dying.

Calico Jack is Kwazii's Uncle Iroh. I needn't explain further. His main goal is to teach Kwazii to be less afraid of his firebending.

Natquik is a waterbender, who taught Barnacles everything he knows. He got his penchant for icebending from him. He pretty much invented it. He survived Antarctica by ✨ Becoming One With The Ice™ ✨. He doesn't just study icequakes, he can make them. He can probably spiritbend.

*I'm TORN between making Marsh be an earthbender or a waterbender. If he's an earthbender, then he can't metalbend like Tweak can, but he's still very strong. Like, scarily strong 👀. IF HE'S A WATERBENDER, then he's a swampbender, full stop.

Tracker is an airbender, mainly because of how he's clearly paralleling Peso's arc in AnB. He was the only airbender in his Polar Scouts troop, and he got picked on for it a bit—but Barnacles thought it was cool as heck, and that's how they became friends.

Do I need to explain Paani being a waterbender? No I do not. He's probably VERY powerful, but very chillax about it. He successfully freaks out everyone who witnesses him bend every time. He can part the seas like freaking Moses.

Pearl is a waterbender like Shellington; she's not super strong, but she has a LOT more control over it than he does. Peri will be a waterbender as well, but he hasn't unlocked it yet. He's trying very hard because he wants to be like his mum and uncle SO badly.

Min could easily be a bender of any kind and it would make sense, but I kinda wanna say she's a non-bender. Just cuz ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Earthbender Ryla. That's all. It makes it a lot easier to get out of caves when she's stuck. She's very casual about it. So casual, that most people either forget or don't even realize she's a bender until it comes up. Then they're like "oh yeah." as she literally moves mountains.

Airbender Pinto, who has no clue how to control it. Whenever he gets frustrated with himself, he accidentally creates small tornadoes. He can also fly! He likes to brag about it. a lot. mainly to Peso.

Waterbender Koshi, who hasn't discovered that about herself yet. She's in for a fun time when she figures it out. Remember how happy she was when she got her Octowatch? Yeah :) 10x that. I also imagine their family is full of late bloomers, but because of Dashi she has pretty low expectations for herself right now.

HELLO MY GOOD PEOPLE.... sooo you all probably saw this coming, but :3c guess who’s making a vampire AU agaiiiin, tee hee hee.... I meant to do so last year, but now with all this vampire!Shuichi goodness, I especially had to do so, now!!! I will properly have this AU up on my blog later, but for now, you can read it all here ! But for a tl;dr, here are a couple of headcanons you really need to know:

- Shuichi was born a vampire!! He looks physically 18, but he is mentally much older. (around 100) So he may act and talk a bit too formally for his ‘age.’ Though he’s adjusted to modern times, so he’s not completely an old man, hehehe...

- When trying to pass off as a human, he wears clothes that completely cover his arms and legs, often wearing a gray hoodie, jeans, and a black cap. He wears both his hood up and his hat, and will n o t take either off during the daytime... and will use the excuse he just gets coooold easily and that his skin is super sensitive to sunlight!! (which it is, but not for the reasons anyone needs to know....) But at night and/or when he can be his full vampire self, he likes wearing more formal clothing. Similar to what his human counterpart wears for his vampire costume!

- His true title is Ultimate Vampire, literally only because he is one. (like in the case of Kiibo, Sonia, and Fuyuhiko’s talents being what they literally are) But Shuichi keeps that hidden, of course, and actually uses Ultimate Detective as a fake title! THOUGH like his human counterpart, he still does take on actual cases, to further play the act. He mainly still tries to do them at night, though, so he won’t have to be out in the sun as much. Though it does for a convenient excuse aside from his ‘being sickly’ one, whenever he sometimes will not be seen at all in the daytime.

- He has superhuman strength and speed, both he can contain to a more realistic level. He has powers as well, some including being able to transform into a bat or cat, and can knock a person out with a simple touch. That is what he does to victims he plants to bite, so that they won’t have memory of what he did to them. Once he does that, he licks at the spot he plans to sink his teeth in, before drinking their blood. Then after he’s done drinking their blood, he’ll carry them to a safe spot since he would feel cruel to just leave them lying on the ground... and also after he bites them, he wipes off any excessive blood and tends to the hole marks with a healing ointment to lessen the severity of the pain.

- He’s afraid to tell anyone that he actually is a vampire, as he does not want to be feared, nor hurt... even if there are a lot of things that are ‘off’ about him... (very sharp fangs, never wearing short sleeves in the day, extreme refusal to eat anything with garlic in it, etc.) But with close friends he trusts and/or anyone he’s dating, he would eventually tell them! That is; if your muse doesn’t already figure it out on their own, hehehe JDFNJDD AND while he would be hesitant to bite anyone he cares about or loves...reassurance that your muse would not mind it, would help... he’d take extra great care of them afterwards. ♥
