rant, but i hope the chicks who

1) punched me in the face multiple times (in my giant AVM but that’s not her fault)

2) screamed at me for trying to rescue my boyfriend from the absolute crowd crush going on when joost opened up the pit

3) crushed my ass in general

got their up-close and wave from joost bc you honestly ruined the one thing i was looking forward to since 2022 when i first got into joost’s music.

yes, i know i signed up for general admission at a small show but never in my life have i experienced the in-show rudeness that i did tonight. it’s not that serious guys- we are all here to have fun and listen to music but when i try to let someone know they are hurting me badly and they 1: continue to do it and 2: get upset with ME, unity doesn’t mean much.

i’m just sad. joost was awesome and otherwise i had a wonderful time, but some of y’all really need to think about the importance of helping others not get hurt vs getting up close to an artist.

edit: i do want to make clear that everyone outside of the show itself was awesome and so so sweet. i just think that passions get too high and everyone (including myself) sees a small venue and thinks there’s a chance to get to the front. i do thing that it’s a very american concert thing to focus more on taking care of the self, especially in a small venue like this, so it’s not anyone’s fault individually, there were just some unsavory instances by people who otherwise i feel like we’re very kind. :)

JoostYork was crazy, I met a moot, bff and I wore maid minion costumes, we got filmed by Daan, got thumbs up from Gladde Paling, Leon came and chilled RIGHT next to us, Joost had a stage presence like no one else I've ever seen and just like everyone was saying is even more breathtaking in person, he's also really funny

It was an amazing trip to see an amazing artist and going with my bff made it even better

I hope Joost comes back on tour again some day!
