Okay listen i know everyone's very excited ab mark and gemma and mark s and helly and i am too don't get me wrong. Its certainly a fun moral question etc etc

I just dont understand why i have yet to see anyone talk about the goat sacrifice yet!!! How many have there been!!! How many more will there be!!

The symbolism and nods to religion in the show is obvious - but the idea of needing a soul to "guide" someone to Kier after death!!! One that they deem worthy based on the 9 core principles. The very obvious fear they have towards the Eagans. The way Jame Eagan was talking about seeing Kier in Helena. Eagan means little fire!! Like spirit (dont get me started on philosophy)

I sincerely believe that in some way they are either cloning or shifting the consciousness of people like Gemma so they are "renewed" or "saved" if we're going by the Book. Why else would they be trying to remove all of Gemmas attachment to her past life? To her trauma and her husband?? Testing to see if she remembers anything from in the rooms?? Using the SAME MEAN LITTLE MAN in each scenario?? Sacrificing the goat or having it "guide" seems like a hint towards human will and sovereignty, this weird harmony between the internal (innie, instinct, aka lust in the bible) and the external (outtie, conscious action based on experience, intention and discernment)

We see in the finale how much things like touch and emotion can be triggers for something akin to reintegration to happen. Mark S zoning out on the stairwell door debating leaving with Ms Casey. Helly R being angry at Milchick in earlier episodes and gaining the posture and cadence of Helena. Dylan Gs passion for his outties kids and wife to have a good life despite not knowing them. It's a test of instinct. Human nature. Free will. It's the same shit the CIA did in MK Ultra (and the like lol) and still does.

It's not trying to just reprogram peoples minds, it's to literally reset them and build them back up however they want. They just didn't expect love in the equation i guess.
