Kissing isn't really a thing on Kepler so I gave them a shock blanket. But at this point, 5a82 is used to it so he gives up.

Also it's a reveal of my uniform for 2e22, it's basically just the standard Synthetics uniform but I haven't posted that anywhere yet. He's using a piece of aerogel (or something) to defend against 1fe4's flamethrower. Where she got it, I don't know. She's good at handling it though. Staying away is advised.

How would your characters take their coffee?

Here's the "main four" at least.

5a82 - it's basically sugar water (he hates bitter tastes) 4b80 - so black it's a mirror 7cb7 - cream x2 and shares the second one Handler - normal milk and sugar ...But a really long straw.

7cb7 is their well-meaning able-bodied friend. Then she's just their well-meaning friend. Yay to bonding opportunities?

Hello! Just out of curiosity since I might end up writing some fanfiction in the future, what’re 049’s relationships with 7cb7, 4b80, and any other characters that might show up? :] Also, how’ve you been doing?

Hello! You're in luck because I actually was just fleshing this out the other day, so I have a pretty solid response, even if slight details do change over time.

I imagined that 7cb7's first interaction with 049 would be also when meeting 5a82 again, and seeing that he looks quite a bit better (he's still struggling a lot and that's why he had to go back home, but you know, he doesn't have the world's worst dark circles and is actually bathed/washed and dressed properly) would have a positive first impression of him, and thank him for taking care of him. I think they would have some tension as 049 throws a bit of a wrench in the resistance's plannings with 5a82, and 049 dislikes the fact that she inadvertently made it so that 5a82 would have a lot of things to attend to and therefore spend less time with him. But overall they both do care about him and want similar things for him, and even though they have tension, can get along and be friendly.

4b80 and 049 definitely have a more strained relationship. I decided to have it so that 5a82 is her CHP (Chosen Person) and she gets supply from his attention and being a friend to him/caring for him. So in a sense, in her mind, being his friend is "her thing" and then 049 suddenly shows up and is in that space instead. She also has struggled with making/keeping friends in the past so it presses on that wound. It's definitely a struggle for her and requires a lot of self-justification to not go into an ego crash. From the other side of things, 5a82 is 049's FP (Favourite Person) and his largest fear and motivator in the arc of them returning to Kepler is the idea that now 5a82 is free to leave him whenever, and doesn't need his help anymore (he has several breakdowns over this). Of course, being introduced to someone who wants to occupy the same space in 5a82's life only adds to that. Their first interaction will be much less friendly, and I'm still not really sure how I'm going to navigate the rest of their relationship in my writing.

There are two other characters that are going to show up, who are also pretty important to 049's character arc and insecurities. They were in my old writing, but I'm rebooting them, I'm not going to mention them by name so far just because I'm thinking of changing it and don't want to set anything in stone. But they're assigned to be 5a82's aides while he's in/working for the resistance, and of course, 049 will probably have a bit of a crash-out over this. Again, he deeply fears being replaced and therefore abandoned, and his main function in his relationship with 5a82 is to be a caregiver to him, so you can imagine how he'd react to the idea of other people stepping into that role. But they both are very understanding about the whole thing, and try to work through ways to manage his stress by still being very involved in 5a82's personal life (and besides, it makes their jobs easier too. 5a82 isn't exactly good at communicating, and at this point 049 would have been with him for about a year or so, and intimately knows his issues) so they're able to have a mutualistic relationship in the end, even if there's a bit of underlying resentment and anxiety on 049's side.

(I've been doing okay, I guess. Avolition is hitting really hard which isn't good around this time of school year. Recently I didn't go out into public for almost an entire month. Other things, too, I guess, insomnia and anhedonia and whatnot. I look like death, haha. But I finally got an appointment scheduled with a neurosurgeon after months of waiting, so there's that. And God has been so good to me recently. And my siblings are the best. So it's not all bad.)

Extra: she has a bit of a mom role in the group, due to 7cb7 being more reckless/outgoing and 5a82 being... 5a82. But she also has her own struggles and needs to be cared for (as is the case with most mom friends).

Extra extra: she likes flowers and may know how to play an instrument.

In reference to your drawing(very good by the way, I really like your shading style because it feels good on my eyes and the way you draw hair looks really natural), is it “normal” for Keplerian(I have no idea if that’s the right grammar) hair to be stiff and spiny like that, along with the eyes having small pupils? Also, is 5a82’s face structure considered normal among Keplers? And just out of curiosity, do Keplers move their ears in a similar way to human’s?

For the ears: Keplers have muscles around their head and face that let them angle their ears in different directions to pick up specific sounds. Twos have significantly longer ears and more control over how they move them. Picture related.

Is 5a82's face structure considered normal? Somewhat. I would say his is unusually smooth due to a lack of expression, kind of like a ko-omote mask. He also looks a little bit gaunt. Otherwise, it's not like he has a facial deformity.

Hey, hope you’re doing well! Could I ask for some 4b80 facts, since we already have 7cb7 and 5a82 ones? :]

I actually already made a post with some fun 4b80 facts, but since I've further thought about her since then, here's some more:

She would be goth if goth music existed on Kepler (I don't know if she would dress in the fashion, though, maybe some outfits with more feminine silhouettes and purple/red pieces...)

She was the third kepler I made, and also has always been the hardest one for me to write, so she was under-developed for a long time. Now I've spent so much time trying to figure out her character that 7cb7 has basically taken a sideline.

She has an interest in making tiny little stuffed animals (specifically tiny ones, since they don't take up much space and therefore are easy to pack and move which is always a thought if you live in a barrack) but hasn't made many since she doesn't want to cut up her clothing, and it's not exactly like she could go ask for a bolt of fabric.
