I gave up on editing and did this instead check it out. I had a rough time with the zeta because they kept getting too anthro dog-ish and I wanted them to read as primates. The one pictured there is a crew member on a whaling vessel (chef and lookout).
Image description and transcript of text below the cut:
[Figure 1 description: Front and side views of a zeta's face with the skull and external anatomy overlaid and separate. The skull is similar to a baboon's with massive broad fangs and a huge saggital crest on top for muscle attachment. Figure 2 description: a bar of colours ranging from dark brown, to reddish, to pale cream, to violet, to blue, to dark blue. Beneath it are several blue markings resembling a stylised 'A' or an arrow. Figure 3 description: a pair of zeta standing together. They are blue, brown, and cream in colour and wearing fancy black collars with dark tassels, and knuckle-guards to protect their feet. They have stocky muscular bodies and ape-like heads. One is propped up on their elbows over the back of the other, looking in a different direction.]
Text reads:
Terrestrial Zeta of Siren: Overview
Zeta are large quadrupedal mammals primarily found in the Eastern continent, the only area of significant continuous land. They are specialists at hunting and killing the local wildlife, most of which have strong chitinous shells and can be thought of as similar to millipedes or isopods. Zeta maxillary canines (1c) are the largest on Siren, laterally flattened and lacking sharp points, instead used to crush and split open the shells of their main prey, and they have huge saggital crests to support their jaw muscles. Zeta were formerly aquatic and still retain tail flukes and dense bones from that evolutionary era (3). They have a plantigrade, knuckle-walking locomotion and lack tongues. Zeta are marsupial and unisex.
Fig. 2 shows the coat colour variation. It is divided into red phase and blue phase shades. While most individuals have both phases, some are solely red or solely blue. Zeta are the only people on Siren who have naturally occurring blue pigments in their skin and hair, and blue eyes. The settlers who genetically engineered zeta also programmed in the logo of their megacorporation, which was a stylised blue letter 'A', which would appear like a tattoo from birth on the skin of zeta, formed of their own pigments. Over subsequent milennia, the logo has become indistinct and abstract, and the blue pigment is no longer limited to this particular marking, but found all over.
Kattakati
During the development of zeta, the genetic engineers wanted to produce a creature which would never have solidarity with a member of its own kind. They tampered with the brains of their creations, thinking that they had produced a creature with no sense of community, empathy, solidarity, or sympathy. In the intervening years zeta have developed a novel way to regain those traits, for their own survival. Early aquatic and terrestrial zeta developed a form of eusociality, viewing members of their pack as themselves, as limbs of one being, and over time this developed into the Dry Bowl practice of Kattakati pairing. This consists of a pair of zeta who have entered a binding agreement to consider one another a single being (3). Legally, socially, and culturally, a kattakati is one person. It has a single name and will not allow others to distinguish between its component bodies in any meaningful way, as they are supposed to be taken as a complete whole, together. It is frowned upon to consider the pair anything other than one guy. The two halves of a kattakati do not necessarily agree on all things, but this is not a contradiction; a person often thinks contradicting thoughts, and feels contradicting things. The nature of the bond is not platonic, romantic, or sexual, and a kattakati might make friends and date other people (you can't date just one half - you need to date the whole guy).
#told ya it was unethical#setting: siren#i know empathy is a charged word here but it's hard to discuss the effects of the GMO without falling back on it#they basically turned off the part of the brain that says We Live In A Society and a bunch of other stuff besides#is it scientific? no. i just wanted to explore what is necessary to reverse-engineer 'society' back into a population#speculative biology

hi! i don’t usually send asks but i have to say that i LOVE your fashion/style so much. i’m also a goth transman with long hair so it’s really nice to feel represented with your posts! also if you’re ok with sharing, where do you get your clothes from mostly? or do you make them? i find it really hard to find gothic/alt clothing that’s more masculine so anything helps!
Thanks!
A combination of things. Thrift stores, eBay, Poshmark, Macy’s, a few pieces from taobao Lolita shops, and I tailor some my clothes to fit better.
I try to buy non-US shoe sizes since my shoe size is more common overseas for men or unisex unless I look at boy’s shoes. Women’s shoes in the US are sadly inferior quality much of the time.
My style heavily leans towards aristocratic and corporate goth. With that in mind:
Tommy Hillfiger, Ted Baker, Bar III, Nick Graham, Robert Graham, and Paul Jones have some of my favorite trousers, dress shirts, and waistcoats. They’re not brands you look to for alt or goth, but my black lace trousers, floral dress shirts, print vests and sports coats, and many other favorite pieces come from them. Styling right is part of the effort. They have fun pieces if you wade through 30 pages of bland-and-average menswear.
Buy winter clothes in the summer. Buy summer clothes in the winter. I’ve bought $300+ stuff marked down to $30~$50 because they’re “out of season” or low on stock.
Ross and thrift for some interesting but cheap items. I sadly passed up a studded long sleeve fish net shirt last week.
International Lolita shops like LolitaWardrobe and My-Lolita-Dress for blouses, coats, hats. Lolita, Aristocrat, and Ouji are luxury fashion so they are more expensive. I dislike Lolita trousers, honestly just buy actual men’s trousers from known menswear stores.
alice auaa, Madaraningen, Milkboy, and Lad Musician are some nice brands with unique items. They’re also expensive however, but even getting ideas from them is helpful to recreate. Lad Musicusn inspired me into more masculine florals.
eBay and local thrift for unique vintage jewelry. Vintage coats and accessories go a long way to style a contemporary outfit.
60s and 70s had more frills on men’s clothes. Women’s 70s~80s tops and coats have shoulder padding and were made to look more masculine.
Prints, patterns, and textures are great. Straight bright red on black can be jarring if not look costumey so corduroy, houndstooth, or herringbone can tone it down while still looking either alt or professional (or both).
Multi purpose wardrobe pieces. A herringbone red vest can be alt or job interview depending on how it’s accessorized.
Be specific. Don’t just look for “goth rings” look for “anatomical heart ring with dagger” or “spider with eyeball body” or whatever your idea will be. Someone somewhere Will have it, give or take price. This also helps you look more unique. Everyone and their goth mothers have the same dagger earrings by now because every Etsy and eBay jeweler uses the same charms from the same retailers.
If you Don’t want to spend a lot of money, learning tools of trade for cheap helps. Use sandpaper to distress clothes, learn embroidery, braid scrap cloth. Bed sheets and curtains are a good source of cheap swaths of fabric. I used scraps from tailored leather trousers to make a braided hat band. My other trouser trimmings I made into masks. Cut holes into a shirt in a spider web pattern. Cut off the sleeves of a shirt and reattach them with a zipper. Creative endeavors add a unique touch.
I’ve had the luxury of a brief stint at a couple well paid jobs, ten ish years to build up my wardrobe, and another 3 ish years to get explicitly masc pieces so don’t feel like you have to rush right now. Focus on adding to your current wardrobe. If you ever think “this would look better if I had red shoes” save for the red shoes. It adds up over the years.

I may have missed this, but is ln4 and quadrant merch true to size? Like, if I’m a large should I get a large? Or is it men’s sizing, or uk sizing. I don’t have a tape measure 🙃
but I’ve bought like, concert merch before where I’m a large and I’m usually a large, idk if that’s unisex or not? Does unisex come w its own sizing too? Sigh
this is gonna sound so dumb but an alternative to a tape measure is a piece of string, cut it or draw a line and then measure with a ruler, OR a piece of tape, cut it and add a little more for leeway (like 2"/5cm ish)
check the size guide anyway, you can always use a ruler to get a rough guess of how big something is in terms of what it says the measurements are even if you don't know your own - Lando's is super useful if a little odd, because of the way it measures and also tells you extra measurements for stuff
using the core hoodie as an example, the yellow line is the chest measure across - most places do circumference but this is just the across (so double it-ish if you were for example to use a bra size I don't want to assume your gender or body parts) and then the pinky/purple line is for length, so again if like me you're a whopping 159cm tall, you'd know that an XXL would be closer to a dress length
another tip is always check what size the models are wearing, sometimes they don't say but often they do, and while most of the time the women are on the slimmer side and the men seem to be fairly muscularly built, it's the heights you want to look at (v important if like me you're on the shorter end and don't want a t-shirt to be a dress) and also check if they say the fit type, if something is "oversized" I tend to go a size smaller unless I fancy it bigger - annoyingly quadrant don't seem to say much about their clothes other than if it's a standard fit, oversized, a sizing suggestion but here is some standard conversion rates of "standard fit" sizing for S/M/L to actual clothes sizing that might be more familiar
I think unisex tends to lean more towards men's sizing just because those sizes have to factor in differences, using the charts above, a men's XXS chest size would likely be more a S in women's for example. I bought the McLaren triple crown jacket which is a unisex jacket and here's the hoodie (McLaren website v good for helping you out actually, their product details and size guides (and conversion chart) are all super helpful)
that's a LOT of waffling but hopefully some of it is helpful?
#birb talks merch#i'm no expert#i only have the core hoodie which i purposely went bigger on#birb speaks

oooh man, Naming them to fit the Original Name is hard, since I don't think their name should ever change much if they were to Genderbend, mind you Genderbend characters is supposed to be their gender change, Not the whole Personality.
Hitch Trailblazer as Peach, Her name is the most hardest to match due to "Hitch" Have nothing that match the meaning to what she does and since G5 is not following most of what G4 naming style, I will name Her Peach, since Peach sound like Hitch. Overall, her look and Personality still matches her Male counterpart, But her Hair should be in Tie up ponytail and neat ish, So no long like fluttershy or messy like pinkie.
Sunny Starscout as Summer, Same like Peach, His name is the 2nd hardest to name, since "Sunny" Is a unisex name, While Summer is more toward Feminine name, I would dare to say why not? He having a female name is kinda cute. Overall, His look and Personality should still match His Female Counterpart and I made His hairdo look alot like Argyle since He will totally look alot toward his dad.
Izzy Moonbow as Isaac, He was the Easiest to name and Redesign, While Izzy have like messy mane that is long. I would think Isaac would have the same
Overall, His look and Personality should still match His Female Counterpart. While I think Isaac having a small facial hair look fitting on him
Pipp Petals as Pippin, Why would I still use Pipp name in her male counterpart? Well, you can still call him Pipp as a nickname. Overall, His look and Personality should still match His Female Counterpart. Now His Hair was tough to draw because I still want to use the same elegant hair without making it long or silly. So I settle with slick back hair styles, singers like Frank Sinatra or any singers from 30s to 50s.
Zipp Storm/Zephyrina Storm as Zephyrus, same like Pipp, Zipp is a nickname. not her full name, so Her male counterpart would still have the same. Overall, His look and Personality should still match His Female Counterpart. Heck His hair still stay the same just maybe shorter in the back, but his body is alot bulkier look same with Isaac.

Growing Up Trans ♂️
Long rant!! Some bigot bs inspired me to talk about my transness. And I mean, hey, it's pride. Might as well take the opportunity? 🏳️⚧️
I was never a feminine person. I didn't like girls' fashion that much, and the only girly toys I ever really touched were Littlest Pet Shops. But even then, I always preferred the boy pets Y'know, the ones without eyelashes painted on. When I was 5, the sound of my name made my skin crawl compared to everyone else's in the room. The only way to really tell me apart from the boys was the long-ass ponytail my mom made me grow out.
I remember they used to talk to us in kindergarten, asking what we'll be like as women and men. Telling us to imagine prom, or what we'll be when we grow up. I could tell I wanted a career in art, but... one issue. When I pictured myself as a high school girl with a date and a dress, or a working woman years and years down the line? My mind's eye went blank.
And remember wanting to play sports back then. Just like my brothers did. Especially basketball, to follow in their footsteps. Another one of the boys. But I wasn't allowed to because of my asthma. So I sunk into video games instead and had my own fun.
When I played Animal Crossing, I made boy villagers almost all the time because I felt more at home with their designs. And because I couldn't make them look like me, they all got their own names & faces instead. I even gave them little personalities in my head & would make them do certain things in accordance to that personality. And I still do this to this day.
When I grew up a little, I loved how deep my voice was compared to other girls-- kids in general, honestly. But I felt a little envy once the guys' voices started dropping & hoped mine would, too. I felt a strange draw to swim trunks & ties. Instead of bikinis & dresses, even though I wasn't actually insecure about my body? Like, showing skin or being fancy wasn't the issue. But somehow... the girls' presentation of it was?
And then I cut my hair short. And that combined with an ambiguous fashion sense, my gravelly little voice & a unisex name (which I'm only changing because I hate it,) got me "misgendered" left and right. And you know what? I loved it. Even though it upset other people around me.
I don't remember girlhood doing me particularly dirty. Double standards were annoying, but my family didn't force femininity on me as much as others. Girls made fun of me for not looking womanly, but I never felt ugly or like I was a "bad" girl because of it. Gaining a more feminine shape over time upset me because I never felt like it suited me, but I've survived worse, and I'm never gonna let it break me. (Especially now that I know I can do something about it.)
I grew out of that "girly = weak and BAD" mentality around 13-ish, when I made girly friends and saw just how great they were. And while I do have experience being SA'd, I actually wasn't targeted because I was a girl. Like 100%, I know for a fact. And I know because I watched the same exact people target a boy right in front of my face.
I knew what was up by 8th grade, honestly. I'm not stupid. I'm a 2000s kid who grew up in a more accepting era & one of the bluest states ever. Of course I knew.
But I did try & run from it for a while. Denial times a hundred. Because I didn't want to deal-- I didn't want to BE trans because I knew it wasn't easy. But unfortunately for me, it ain't really a choice. I can only choose what I wanna do about it. And ignoring it just drags me down.
I remember in grade 10, I started getting insecure about how young I looked & acted. I felt like everyone was growing up before me (and they kinda were-- late bloomer L,) so I started trying more women's clothes, including some form-fitting tops with lower cuts. I wanted to look my age & keep up, and I did-- I went from NYC rat child to presentable young lady. But I hated them. I could legit never go a full day in a dress or anything like that without changing before school ended. And I made sure makeup always got rubbed off as soon as possible. I've only put it on 4 times my entire life. 3 of which were forced.
As much as I hate dysphoria, I am kind of glad I went through that, though? Because it told me that something was wrong. And that I'm not me when I'm girly.
Girlhood is great. There's nothing wrong with her. But our relationship just wasn't for me. This wasn't working out. And so, starting May 2022, we officially broke it off. And I have to admit that I'm a lot happier without her. But I hope we're still friends?? Lol.
Transness to me is very much about self-acceptance. I fucking love men's soaps, and cologne, the look of a flat chest, and suits. I love ties, and how men's graphic tees fit me, and I just KNOW my voice is gonna drop deep as hell once I'm on T. Very much looking forward to that. And if I want all that, I should be able to get it.
I've thought a lot about the man that I want to be in the next few years. And I think I have it all figured out; he's just me, after all. But better!
I want to be strong, physically and mentally-- hey, I already have that second one down! I want to be daring, with a motorcycle & a couple of tattoos. I think I want to be a dad, and I KNOW I want to be a good cook and an even better artist, one who makes great things. But I also want to allow myself to have a soft side, you know?
But most of all, I want to be kinder. I want to stop giving in to toxic masculinity. Because if you knew me growing up, you'd know that I applied that "be a man" mindset to myself WAY too much-- even before I knew what was up.
To whatever weirdo is reading this, if you're about to hit me up and "devastate" my liberal ass saying that I will never be a man or some shit, don't bother. I'm man enough for me & I've survived much worse. Takes more than that to break me, lmao. But you can leave if you want.
Archeologists ain't gonna be diggin' up my bones because if we're being honest, I'll probably be cremated. Cope.
And does it really matter what my chromosomes are? You're not looking at them. They don't prevent me from actually doing anything. What are they, my mom? You won't even be able to tell they're XX once I hit a certain point, dude. Gender & sex are two different things, my guy.
And even if they weren't... even if you were right, which you aren't, and I truly am stuck a mujer for the rest of my life... do you REALLY think I wouldn't go for the next best thing and transition anyway, bro? Second-best ain't bad!
Like, okay, yeah. Maybe I won't ever have XY chromosomes. Maybe I won't ever be able to "put a bun in the oven." But I can still get myself a manly voice, damn it. A manlier body. And I'm way more inclined to focus on what I can do over what I can't.
Aight. This is long as hell, I gotta stop. Happy pride to me & all the other trans-mascs out there though! Hell, just happy pride in general. Send me more asks about gender stuff if you want?
Peace! ✌🏼
-- Jonah S. Last day of pride.

Sewing tips: blouses
This would be true anywhere from the 1900s up until the 1990s when wovens get less common. Still - might be handy for writing tips, and it doesn't hurt me to write stuff down.
I sew a lot of my shirts. Unethically made t-shirts run about 8$ - 15$ around here at best. I can get unethically made button up shirts for 3$ - 18$ if I'm willing to hunt for a sale, but ethically made clothes in my size and cut (larger, curvy,) do not really exist under 30$.
Since I can get fabric for about 12$ and I have a stash of passable shirt buttons, I can basically come out ahead on woven blouses. My base shirt is just a basic unisex blouse that cost a dollar originally. I added some darts for a little more shaping.
You're looking for a bust 46" ish sized person about 2 yards of fabric (one fitted twin sheet, if you're going for second hand test fabric) for a short sleeved blouse. The main fabric usage in a blouse is actually sleeves. On average, a pair of sleeves will take as much fabric as the front of your blouse. If you can't fit two copies of your front on doubled fabric, you likely can't get long sleeves.
So, what are you looking for?
Beware of stretch fabric. A bad stretch fabric may not have recovery, so the shirt might droop and hang badly. It might run / pucker / warp as you try to sew it. It might hate having button holes added to it. It might require interfacing to even try to make a collar / buttonholes.
Beware of poly blends until you know what your body likes. Polyester can be noticeably warmer than cotton, but you can also run into fabric you hate the texture. Stuff with a little shine in it ranges from polite to the most ill behaved wiggly mess you've ever seen. You can press synthetic fabrics, but there will be some differences compared to natural fibers.
Check the weave of the fabric. A loose weave can have a thread caught and pull in your fabric. You can literally damage it by pinning it to sew. It can also feel coarse to the touch. Loosely woven linen sometimes starts out feeling almost sandy and pilled until the linen breaks down enough to become soft. For second hand fabric, give the fabric a snap along the corners and straight of grain (in other words, grab it with two hands and give a yank.) If you feel shifting / snapping threads / see wrinkles remain in the fabric, it might simply be worn out or not behave well as you sew.
Check for weakness in the edges of the fabric. If the fabric is already trying to unravel, you will have to treat all the edges. If the fabric is pilled before you sew it, it will continue to do this. If there are loose bits (so, say, embroidery with long bits of thread, or brocade with long bits of thread inside,) then you might have wear appearing early in the fabric.
Weight of the fabric matters. Feel shirts you like in the stores. If a heavier canvas style shirt repulses you, thicker fabrics like flannel, light canvas, or heavy quilting fabrics might upset you. If you are sewing a tailored crisp shirt, then a loose floaty fabric without interfacing or lining will not work. Check what your goal garments are usually made of. You cannot sew a silk blouse out of wool broadcloth easily. You cannot make a puffy huge sleeved Victorian bodice out of rayon crepe easily. If your pattern requires careful pinning and easing complex shapes together, it will be easier with a fabric that can handle picking out a seam.
Opacity of the fabric matters. You can wear surprisingly translucent fabric with historical undergarments. Unfortunately, a transparent fabric could show the pattern of pieces under it, or sloppy seaming. A gathered / pleated / pintucked / trimmed garment can have layers to hide the interior structure of yourself or the shirt.
Make your test copy of something in a fabric similar to your final goal. It doesn't have to be gorgeous, or perfect, but a thin muslin shirt will pull / hang differently from a thick fleece shirt. If you simply cannot find anything similar, accept that you may have to adjust your seams.
Pay attention to the standards of the era you're interested in. 1900's garments sometimes have smaller arms / tighter shoulders due to how a corset would pull your body to stand / the assumed age of the wearer. The puff of sleeves goes up and down over the years, and sometimes there's assumptions in the weight of the fabric you're using. A 1910's era shirt drafting manual assumed you were sewing a gathered in the front pigeon blousing shirt with 4 times the necessary radius around the body. This would be silly in a hefty fabric. 1980's shirts assume you have shoulder pads or are sometimes cut like you're shaped like a brick. Many post 1970's shirt patterns have huge armscyes and sleeves to avoid more complex shaping.
Ease matters. In a non-stretch fabric, you must put some ease into your garment or you will be unable to comfortably move. This means you need to know the size of your body, and the size you tend to like things on your body. The simplest way is to sanity check the pieces of the pattern against something you like the fit on your body. If the pattern, with seam allowances, does not fit on you or your sample garment, then you know you'll have to adjust things. Checking a flat piece of paper against your moving body will be difficult, so a flat garment often is easier. With time, you may discover that the impossible body the pattern assumes you have always needs additions or subtractions. This is normal.

I just re-read one of my favorite shoujo mangas back in college, and now that I can articulate my feelings better I want to put it down in a notes here.
The manga is called Otonari Complex
It’s about two childhood bestfriend where the girl is tall and boy-ish looking while the boy is shorter and often cross-dress as a girl.
One of the biggest reasons why I love this manga so much is because how soft they are with their feelings. I love both of the main characters so much, both are huge shining green lights. Both of them understand how important each other is and try really hard to handle their feelings as carefully as possible. Even when the guy confessed to her, he felt sorry because he felt as if he did not consider her feelings.
I’m a sucker for bestfriend to lovers trope, but they’re often done very rashly. I feel like this one was executed with the right pace. I love how we get to see how intimate they’re with each other in their daily life, far before we got to see their feelings for one another unravel. And damn it’s very satisfying to see how their story progressed.
Look at this panel below and tell me it does not make you feel things. Everything with them just feels so soft and comfortable, it’s grand and subtle at the same time.
-----
However, one thing that really made this one a personal favorite of mine is just how much I identify with Akira.
You see, as a girl I have always had a larger built than other girls my age. I have never gotten bullied or anything, but even in my mind I knew I wasn’t the image of what ‘pretty girls’ should look like. I was taller than all of the girls I knew, so ever since I was just a kid I would hunch down a little, hoping that it would somehow make me shorter (hence I have a terrible posture now). I would avoid anything that looked cute, because I was not cute. I would avoid wearing pink, simply because I did not think I was cute enough to be wearing something pink. I would avoid dresses or any girly clothing and accessories because I believed I would look like a clown if I had worn them. I earnestly believed that these cute things would look so much better on my friends, on any other kids but me.
So, when Akira was fixated on that one girly pump shoes but thought that it would never fit her, I could see myself in her. And then when she finally had the courage to ask for her size and was too heartbroken to hear that they did not have her size there, I almost cried. I literally used to cry when shopping for shoes because I knew that it would only lead to heartbreaks. I knew I would not be able to get the ones I find pretty. Hence, I would tell my mom to just get me a unisex converse shoes. I told her that they were comfortable and trendy, I was just shielding myself from another heartbreak.
And don’t get me started on being close with guys while knowing that they would never look at you as a girl.
However, while we might have almost similar issues with feminity, Akira is so much cooler than me. She knew what she was comfortable with. Her insecurity doesn’t keep her from being a wholesome person. Her issue does not stop her from acing the volleyball club. Her issue does not stop her from being a sincere and positive person to everyone around her. Hence, Makoto falls for her regardless of how she looks. He adores her when she’s being her usual casual self, he adores her when she tries wearing different things.
I wish I was as cool as her. Then maybe I’d have someone that can look at me like a girl too lol.
I just love how Makoto deals with her. I know I’ve repeated the word ‘soft’ for so many times here, but I cannot find better word to describe them. He did not completely understand the issue that Akira was going through, so he threaded carefully. He matched her pace and waited. I.... am so jealous. He’s just perfect.
----
This is my first time ever writing it down. I have never spoken about it to anyone, not even my mom or my best friends. I would always act as if I don’t care about body issues at all because I believed that if I never admit it, it could never be used against me.
I was 27 years old when I started wearing dresses on regular basis. I used to wear it only for special occasion, or whenever I was on holiday where no one would know me. My biggest achievement in the age of 27 is coming to term with how much I love wearing dresses.
Would it have been different if I had someone telling me that they’d like me no matter what? That I was cool no matter what I chose? Would it have been easier to accept myself?
#personal#like... very personal#shoujo#manga#otonari complex#tw: body image#tw: body issues#tw: body insecurity#please don't come at me if you disagree with my characters interpretation

The People of Experia
Human
Same as most humans across the multiverse, they have the full range of skin colours depending on where they come from in the world, with the palest coming from Ahcos and Marn, and the darkest coming from Ancient.
Rohk
The rohki people look to many as living statues, with their pure white skin and 100% gold hair. A nomadic people, they roam Lormoor (and sometimes other countries), until it comes time for them to gather at the great lake of Rohkkar for the Rohkmootkar, which has become something of a massive festival for all of Lormoor. They have a talent for healing, and prodigious strength, aided by their iron-infused bones. Though there have been occasional human/rohk couples, they cannot have children, as rohk lay eggs, rather than give live birth. Rohki have three names: their common name, that they use with everyone, their family name, which is only used with family members (being told a rohk’s family name is to be considered a part of their family, and is traditionally revealed as part of their marriage ceremony), and their ritual name, which includes their ancestry up to 25 generations on both sides (it used to be their entire ancestry, but a meeting of the elders at The Rohkkar some decades ago limited it to 25 to save time). The ritual name brings honour or shame to the whole family when used and also keeps track of families to prevent in-breeding. The rohki religion is a type of shamanistic belief. They revere the spirits of the wind, who shows them when to go, the water, who shows them where to go, and the earth, who shows them where they stand. This is reflected in their burial system: dead rohk are beheaded, and their head is buried in a great catacomb known as "Rohkmootaar" (Where the Family Rests), while their body is returned to wind and water by being burned on a raft on the lake.
Krarka
The krarka are a small race, the largest reaching a mere four-and-a-half feet tall. They don't have much in the way of necks, and they have only four fingers on each hand. They have a metallic exoskeleton that they shed periodically as they grow, though they reach full physical maturity in just over a year. Krarka skin colour comes in three main varieties, the most commonly seen is rust red (known as the roni), followed by a tarnished silver (the emork), and finally, the most rarely seen green (the korrep). They live in massive mountainous cities, though they used to live on the plains of Lormoor, where they pursue the works of whatever takes their fancy, be it art, science, or engineering. Unfortunately, the sheer passion they have for their work tends to override their good sense, and many a krarka is killed in sudden explosions. With their lack of communication and disinclination to make notes, this has effectively left their species in a perpetual industrial revolution. And, even if a krarka manages to survive long enough, they die of old age at approximately forty years old.
No non-krarka knows how they reproduce, as it is a sacred thing to them, but it requires one of each colour to effectively sacrifice themselves to produce a litter of one to two dozen. These young are then raised by the city as a whole, though some die in accidents or during their first experiments. The krarka believe that their three gods created their race by fusing together, similarly to the way normal krarka reproduce. Hence their reproduction is considered a sacred act and why it's kept secret from the other races. The three gods were Migaen, the korrep god of inspiration, Lusodra, the emork god of perspiration, and Tyiestan, the roni god of determination. Krarka cities each contain a Mausoleum Tower, containing the remains of every krarka to die in that city in a cabinet with their name. Despite how long the cities have been around, these Towers have yet to be completely filled.
Jorigan
The jorigan are a reclusive, peaceful fungoid people who spend most of their time up in their tree village-farms. The most curious thing about them is that they are a unisex race, reproducing with seed pods that grow from the end of their hair. As these seeds can only truly sprout when planted on a corpse, the jorigan people see death and life as a sacred circle that no one is allowed to break. It is also rare for more than one jorigan child to be born off of one corpse, so they consider children very precious. A jorigan that has died alone might eventually be succeeded by their child, born from their own seed pods and corpse coming together, though this is not guaranteed. These "lonely ones'' are considered to be even more special than normal, and tend to rise into leadership positions amongst the nearest jorigan community, though some have been instead raised by rohks or krarka and become ambassadors between their adoptive and birth races. The average jorigan lifespan is approximately two hundred years old, though the first ten of these are spent rooted in the place they were planted as a seedpod. This rooted stage is known in the jorigan language as the “kabaj” stage, and villages have patches set aside for them to grow in.
The physiology of the jorigan is like a strange mix (to Earth) of animal, plant, and fungus; many creatures of the forest marshes once preyed on them because of this. Despite being part plant, a jorigan cannot thrive on sunlight alone, though it can sustain them for a couple days before they must eat or begin starving. The jorigan believe in a singular god named Hakhjma, who has six arms and six eyes. theyserves a similar purpose as Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos combined as well as serving as the passage between life and death. According to the jorigan belief system, killing people for any reason (even self-defense) is an act of blasphemy, as only Hakhjma has the authority to decide when people die. As such, the worst punishment the jorigan have is to be shaved bald and then have their head salted, to keep their hair from growing back, and then be exiled forever (or at least until Hakhjma takes them).
Jorigan skin is mottled shades of green, black, brown, and greys. Their eyes are adapted to dark spaces, and they stand very tall and slender, with the average height of a jorigan being seven feet. The metal on a jorigan is generally found in the form of clawed hands and feet, which they use to climb with ease.
Iijzakhen
The result of the worst criminal the jorigan have ever produced, the mutant Iijzakh, who killed many jorigan, rohki, and krarka and planted their seeds on their victims, trying to create an ultimate army from their own children. These children of Iijzakh had an increased amount of metal on their bodies, in a way that looks like gauntlets and greaves, thereby increasing their durability. When Iijzakh was finally caught, their experimental children were banished to the Lost Isles once they were old enough to fend for themselves. Almost no one visits these islands, and it is rare for a so-called “Iijzakhen Abomination” to leave them. Thanks to the mutation of their ancestor, all Iijzakhen have more metal than a normal jorigan, but also have a shorter lifespan, averaging about 175 years to their cousins’ 200.
Vampire
All vampires were once human. At night, they possess higher Strength, Constitution, and Agility scores than any other race, but, once the sun rises, they lose those bonuses and suffer an equal penalty to their Constitution. Though they find human blood tastier, most vampires in the world live off of animal blood, and normal food gives them little to no nourishment. Experian vampires are not undead, and both sexes are technically fertile, though there have never been any natural born vampires. It is illegal in most countries to turn an unwilling person, and a higher crime to turn anyone under the age of majority, even if they are willing.
In appearance, most vampires are basically the same as when they were human. The major differences are their skin, ears, teeth, and eyes. The skin of a vampire will always be a few shades lighter than when they were human, but it is still plain which part of the world they hailed from. The ears and teeth are both more pointed, though the ears’ points are far more subtle, as the now sharp teeth of a vampire (and they are all sharp, not just the canines) are needed for the drinking of blood. Finally, the eyes of a vampire have two distinct features, the first of which is a general reddening of the iris, which tends to turn their human eye colour to either a dull red or violet shade, with a rare few managing a fairly human brown-ish; the second is the presence of “tapetum lucidum,” which gives the effect of eyes glowing in the dark when in the presence of a sufficiently powerful or focused light.
Dhampir
Dhampir are the children of vampires and humans, and are exceptionally rare. Though they are not as capable as a vampire at night, they do still have boosts to the same stats in comparison to their human parent, but at all times, rather than only during the day. They can consume and receive nourishment from both blood and food as well as either of their parents. A dhampir ages like a human until around the age of twenty-nine, after which they cease to age altogether. Dhampir are completely sterile: their blood cannot make vampires, and they cannot have children in the normal way, even with other dhampir.
Dhampir, appearance-wise, are much closer to humans than their vampire parent in appearance. Their skin-tones are fully human, rather than the washed-out of the vampire, and they have the normal complement of human eye colours. However, they retain the pointed ears and tapeta lucidum of the vampire, and their canines are as sharp as a vampire, leading to the dhampir looking far more like the classic Earth depiction of a vampire than vampires themselves.

im gna try something new canonwise and work from the outside in. here’s a post about clarys Look.
about Average-ish height? maybe on the taller side. i’d say about 5′6″, give or take.
Sturdy physically. powerful muscle under a substantial layer of fat, and like. Rectangular in terms of frame. she can pick that heavy thing up for you. see here.
tons of grey hair, which she keeps well past her shoulders. Nothin Fancy in terms of styling– her two usual Hairstyles are ‘messy bun’ or ‘messy braided bun.’ doesn’t seem to enjoy wearing it down unless she doesn’t have anything to do that day.
round / oval face. wonderful round cheeks, sturdy jaw, overbite.
eyes either hazel, green or grey. full cataract in her right eye and smaller one in her left, which is barely noticeable other than appearing to just brush the side of her iris / pupil, like so. usually appear serious or in thought.
wears clearly men’s bifocal glasses. boxy, tortoiseshell and absolutely FUCK-ugly. definitely meant to be worn by like, a 25-year-old hipster in 2013. they do Not ~flatter her face~. she does Not care. they help her to see.
completely and Adamantly makeup-free.
though she might backslide into the almost undetectable like No-Makeup-Makeup – foundation and a sheer lipstick– if she’s going somewhere or seeing someone that she feels like might judge her if she turns up bare-faced.
GREAT jaw.
worry lines on her forehead, visible wrinkles around her eyes and mouth.
dry skin and chapped lips from seawater. remembers lip balm, probably needs gf to tell her about lotion.
i don’t quite know how to describe her features other than, like. ‘solid’ or ‘strong.’ no button noses or Ingenueface here.
teeth yellowing from years of cigarettes and black tea. not thrilled about this fact, uses whitening toothpaste to try and reverse the effects anyway. marginally successful.
two semi-visible scars– one thin line behind her left ear and one slightly thicker line down the back of her neck.
clothing tends to be a mixture of Unfeminine women’s clothes, menswear, unisex clothes and ~Utility Wear~, in that order. primarily black and greyscale in palette, with a few Oceany colours Like So.
typical Clarywear is plain grey shirt or tank top, men’s flannel / work shirt / sweater on top if it’s cold, dark wash slim-fit men’s jeans, and sensible shoes.
pants always, suits for formal wear. jury’s still out about neckties.
doesn’t do accessories unless she’s Feelin Fancy, and even then they’d be men’s accessories lol.
no jewellery either, except for plain silver rings on her right index and ring fingers, tiny silver earrings, and a black waterproof men’s watch on her right wrist.
her hands are calloused, dry and a little age-spotted, but strong and broad. short nails ( obviously. )
dark hair all over her body, especially under her arms. does not shave anywhere ever.
has Invisible Middle-Aged Woman Syndrome because she’s over fifty, not thin and kinda nerdy-looking…..
…..but also, at the same time, seems to give off Do-Not-Fuck-With-Me vibes ( like somebody else i know ) in looks and attitude when you DO notice her. but hers are Softer, less austere and feel more like a result of her physical features, personality and how she chooses to dress: she is unfeminine, pretty quiet, and has a serious-looking face and sturdy build, which leads more to an impression of being like. Solid or Lightly Intimidating rather than Outright Terrifying. like, ‘probably harmless but don’t mess with her anyway’ to most people, if that makes sense.
also because she passes for male a lot.

I want to start going by they/them pronouns.
If you want more information, it’s under the cut.
My weird gender feelings sort of came to a head when I was at a meeting recently and introduced myself with my name and pronouns (she/her) like I’ve been doing in every meeting for ages, and suddenly the past 2ish years of doing that and going “hmmm don’t like this” recoiled and hit me in the face.
Whenever I’ve been in a queer and gender neutral-ish space and someone defaults to calling me they, I really like it. I like it a lot better than she.
If I hear someone refer to me as she, which you know, you don’t always hear people refer to you unless you’re in a group of 3+ people, it’s been like this weird discordant note in my life. Someone calls me she, and I go, sh-she? She?
Part of why it’s taken me this long is that I do dress very “feminine” especially for work, and I like wearing skirts and dresses over leggings or legging shorts because it’s easy and way more comfortable than jeans or trousers every day. I like having my hair about shoulder length because I don’t have to keep getting it trimmed or go through the trouble of growing it out after I cut it. I like wearing makeup because I sometimes like what it does to my face, I know women in the working world are perceived as more professional if they wear makeup (and like that’s shitty but I’ll take the help), and I still have breakouts here and there that I want to cover up. (If you only wear makeup to cover zits, it just draws more attention to the zits. If you wear it all the time, on the other hand. . .)
I know logically that gender =/= presentation, but there’s a difference between knowing that and feeling that about yourself. I also have teenage-me-era Bad Feelings associated with dressing in certain “masculine” ways because my mom wouldn’t let me shave or wear shirts smaller than a unisex medium (a small is what fits me) because she said my chest was too big. So I ended up adopting a more “butch” style because I felt like I couldn’t be feminine.
Maybe I want to find other ways to present more androgynous or masc sometimes. I’m still figuring that out. Part of it is complicated by the fact that I have what the mainstream perceives as a very “feminine” body, e.g., big tits wide hips. Which relates to, I’m mostly ok with how I present, but I’m not ok when I stop and think about it and just know via existing in the world that people look at me existing in my body and presenting how I do and putting me in a box labeled “woman”.
Idk I didn’t sign up for that.
I’ve also been thinking for a long time that I’d love to use they pronouns if it was a more common and accepted thing to do, and then realized, as more people use they pronouns, it becomes a more common and accepted thing to do. I can be one of those people.
And I’ve literally been using a shortened, gender-neutral version of my name for like half my life and I chose to use it specifically because it was more gender-neutral. If I’d known what gender-neutrality was when I was a freshman in high school, I probably would have been drawn to it.
Basically there’s still a lot I’m figuring out.
But they/them are my pronouns now, thanks.

Philadelphia Eagles Batman shirt
Sean Connery in a miniskirt Philadelphia Eagles Batman shirt . That would be silly; comedic; even tasteless and offensive for getting a laugh by crossdressing; but all the Cum Nasa shirt What’s more,I will buy this same: never VULGAR. Personally, I like looking at women, and the concept of “vulgar” is not something I even accept when it comes to women’s fashions. Silly, sure; ludicrous, definitely; pointless, probably painful, or yikes!, absolutely. But “vulgar”? How on Earth could anything worn by a woman, that most wonderful of creatures, possibly be “vulgar”? That being said, some of us are determined to find vulgarity in anything. At least we no longer formally stone witches or burn heretics at the stake. We deliberately spread plague at them instead. You also have to consider whether what you have *should* be shown off. I’ve never forgotten being on a double-decker bus in Edinburgh when a worryingly young girl – 12–14-ish – in a mini skirt climbed to the upper floor and revealed to everyone on the lower floor that she had no knickers on. Not only was this disturbing from an age aspect, but even though not overweight she had no muscle tone, so her arse looked like two upturned bowls of mauve jelly (jello to my American readers). Wibble-wibble-wibble-wibble-wibble….Philadelphia Eagles Batman shirt, hoodie, sweater, longsleeve and ladies t-shirt
Classic Women's
Long Sleeved
Unisex Sweatshirt
Unisex Hoodie
Classic Men's You should just be able to see the Philadelphia Eagles Batman shirt . What’s more,I will buy this bottom of your panties when you bend over. You want to just see the beginnings of that lovely curve that begins at the top of a woman’s thighs. Any shorter than that is vulgar. Why? Because a miniskirt is supposed to tease and suggest, not expose. At least, I assume this is why the Catholic school I went to in the early seventies allowed the girls to go to this length. If the nuns allowed it, it must be correct. There’s no standard for this. People indoctrinated to see the female body as shameful will say anything that doesn’t touch the floor is vulgar. The Taliban will tell you anything that isn’t head to foot covered is vulgar. “Vulgar” is an opinion; there’s no meaningful answer to the question. Ok ok jokes aside.. perhaps anything above the butt ? Cos it defeats whole purpose of wearing skirts if it exposes the butt and more… these will be just nice for me You Can See More Product: https://newshirtonline.com/product-category/trending/ Read the full article
