So I found an unidentified song on Reddit. The person who posted it believes it's called 'Petals'

Here's my interpretation of the lyrics:

Colours in slow motion

Hi Tumblr, this is an awareness post for the unidentified/lost 2000s British Indie Rock / Shoegaze(?) song, referred to as "Fixation" because of its filename

The OP of the song (willman85 on WatZatSong) said he found the song, labelled as "fixation.mp3," on a hard drive of his, and that it was downloaded in the late 2000s. To his memory, he found the song on either Myspace or P2P filesharing services. There's no other information about this song, and it's gone over a year with nobody being able to identify it!! :(

I'm calling upon you, dear Tumblr users, would you be able to help identify this musical rarity? Thanks so much!

Okay, so I just recently heard that this once to be unidentified song called "Digital World" has been solved! The song is by someone called Janusz Bronakowski. I'm freaking out right now! I can't believe this has finally been solved! ^^ This particular post of the song above was posted to YouTube by a user called q.

It always makes me so sad how little effort there has been to try to identify this song. I really wish it would get wide-scale attention because it is such a good song. Like pretty much all the info we have for it is that the song references Martha’s Vineyard and its from a cassette found in California. Even a time period is hard to pin down because style-wise the song could range from the 70s to 90s and that’s only a rough guess, it very much could have come later. I know I’ve posted on this before, but this is like my unidentified media holy grail so I’m just so invested in it.

I love my qsmp friends but whenever people like refer to characters by their initials and they call quackity Q I get mega confused bc I immediately think of the YouTube channel q which is the furthest thing from mcyt stuff (she archives unidentified and lost music along with posting identified/found songs, she’s cool. absurdly quick with her update schedule too. which is why I get baffled when I picture her as like. a cubito. like she uploads several times a day and like she can’t preschedule songs that were just found, and there’s been a massive amount in the past few months)
