Day 28 of ShadowTober complete, with an Ungurait! I love Homestar Runner, and it's awesome that there's technically a character that has this style of design...even though they technically don't exist whatsoever and are rejected characters! I decided to try and reinterpret their design in a modern Homestar style.

#26 - Character Cards

Okay, so we actually have an unfinished page this time!

This one was supposed to be a characters page, containing different cards of each character, where I assume information would've shown up on the right, assuming it had ever gotten that far into development.

This page is mainly known for two characters though. The Unguraits and Homeschool Winner. Yeah, I should probably dive into who those two are, shouldn't I?

First up, the Unguraits were kinda meant to be... bandits? Again, these were never really put in anything, so it's kind of hard to say. They were definitely bad guys though, even initially being a part of Blue Laser, which will make a lot more sense when we get to the Cheat Commandos.

And then, of course, there's Homeschool Winner, who is probably one of the more well-known Homestar-related mysteries. The story goes that he was created after a friend of Mike & Matt misremembered the name of the site as "Homeschool Winner", and they apparently liked that so much, they made a whole character based around it (which is, interestingly, strikingly similar to how Homestar himself got his name). He was described as being a "weaselly know-it-all", or alternatively, a dork, and is apparently Homestar's stepbrother. He's actually appeared quite a few times since this, such as in the "Dancin' Bubs" game, which we will be getting to very soon, a sbemail (albeit dead), the 2010 Decemberween special, and even in an ad for the Trogdor Board Game.

I... don't know how to end this one.

ShadowTober is still going strong with me, but I'm also going to cut in with some non-ShadowTober drawings, of course! And I had a new concept for a Homestar Runner OC I wanted to make! ^_^

Axel is an Ungurait in training...but they'd really rather not want to be. Recently left onto their own devices to cause their own level of chaos, they have instead moved to Free Country. In the guise of an "online college student", they instead bunker down in a basement apartment, doing anything but their assignment. Working freelance jobs, they fudge their reports to look favorable to their superiors, when in reality they're just doing normal things. Really, the only thing they do that is relatively "evil" is email trolling Strong Bad. And honestly, that might be the only thing that makes them not look so apathetic all the time.

...Who’s gonna write that multi-chapter fanfic about Homestar Runner & Strong Bad teaming up to save their frozen friends from the Unguraits, who froze them in the first place?

I would, but considering my track record when it comes to multi-chapter fics I can’t be trusted with it.
