How the Vikings men would bath with you
Masterlist
Ivar the Boneless
It takes a lot to him to trust you enough to see him naked.
Due to his body, he is very self concious so previously to entering the bath, you need to be sure he will let you in.
It is sure to say this is one of his most vulnerable moments, always expecting you to run away or something.
You position yourself behind him and tun your fingers up and down his back.
Giving him massages and hugging him, trying to reasure him that you are not afraid.
Once he gets used to this time of intimacy, having baths together starts to be a more usual activity.
Ubbe Ragnarson
He got to you side and started rubbing your legs and chest with slow almost sensual motions.
Never breaking eye contact from you, even when is hand dissapeared underwater.
With a nod you invited him to join you and what started with his attempt to seduce you is now a relaxing tradition.
Your back against his chest, connecting fingers and talking about nothing and everything.
Feeling his heartbeat against you is beautiful and calming, he also feels safe while doing this with you.
Dark ambience, small candles iluminating the room.
Hvitserk Ragnarson
The first time he entered by accident and you give him the option to join, obviously he didn't refuse.
Then started to be more often, he judt likes to have you in front of him.
After his travels to Algeciras and the Mediterranean sea, he discovers the roman baths, aromatized soaps, etc.
He is like a child, sometimes splashing you while laughing.
But dont get It wrong, he always treats you like a princess.
Now, when you raid together, he always wanders around the town, trying to know if there is some roman baths or saunas.
Sigurd Ragnarson
I somehow think that he doesn't like to bath so the only way for him to get in water is with you.
He tries to stay as much as posible in the water while you wash his blonde hair but he just makes sarcastic comments, makes weird faces and that.
He tries to splash you like a revenge and you end up having a water bottle.
The only place he likes to be in water is on the lake, but ussually is to cold to be there so... big no.
Not even mentioning that in some particular ocasion he threw you there, obviously you pushed him after.
It's the most fun and risky one to bath with.
Bjorn Ironside
He obviously starts bathing a couple of minutes before you do, that's why you always tell him when you are going to do It.
He has this hope that bathing and spending this time with you will make you reward him.
Bathing in such a small place with such a man, you feel a little overwhelmed.
He doesn't tent to do anything but always wants you to rub and wash him, he finds it relaxing

Yandere! Merman x Reader
18+ - gore and smut
Chapter two
It is in human nature to be deleterious. To be a cancerous leech plundering on the natural resources Earth had to offer. Human nature entails dominance over any being deemed inferior, to find amusement and comfort in the technology the big bad business men advertise. They are wolves selling a fallacy of hope to the selfish humans who pray for an advanced civilization; all while stuffing their pockets with gold and giving blessings to the sick.
That homeless man may have been right about the end of the world, or those hippies chaining themselves to trees or even those laughable metal straw ads everyone would skip. Had anybody listened to the fanatical people of the early 70's, perhaps the state of the earth would never have gotten so dilapidated. Magazines and newspapers were thrown out for billboards, projectors and little technological pockets of information. The news always the same, yet always afflictive to the weak little hearts of the people. Every day was a new animal, new country, new city being destroyed by one man made thing or the other.
That was how he was raised. To despise humans and their technology, the same filth congesting his oceans and killing any and all marine life.
His first encounter with humans had been just a decade ago. Fishing vessels weren't common near Silnich shores therefore, his entire childhood had gone relatively unoccupied. Socialization was rare, even amongst his own species, so when a Trawler spurred against empty waters the half-fish was naturally whelmed with vague interest.
It was a melancholy night; ashen clouds covering the darkness. The waters were desolate, a lonely ambience surrounding the waves and empty sky. Zero lights, he had thought to himself, his diaphanous tail swishing beneath himself. Occasionally, if he was lucky, yellow, red, purple and even blue dots would scatter behind clouds and a pale moon would situate itself at their side.
He recalled an old friend, a merman and traveller, had once mentioned calling them stars. That humans could see them up close, that they could dance and fly among them; a laughable notion considering only birds could do such a thing. Humans were widely regarded as stupid and rather begrimed; a soiled species responsible for the odd materials destroying underwater ecosystems. He never understood his friend's peculiar way of regarding them, almost as if with an admiration of sorts.
"Alright boys, what we catchin' today?" A loud, booming voice sounded atop the boat.
Two other voices had joined in, southern and thick. "How bout a shark?"
"Shut up, Randall," laughed one of the men, "Let's catch some fish fore' the boss rings our neck."
A thunderous whirring came from a machine attached to the boat, yellow and rusted with a net attached to the bottom. It sunk beneath the inky waters, the boy following after with pure curiosity. He noticed a school of fish swimming closer, their delicious forms becoming entrapped within the roped net and struggling to swim out. Their meager bodies flattened against each other, fins frantically fluttering back and forth in a futile attempt at escape.
Did humans also eat fish? He wondered.
He hadn't gotten a look at what the men's physical appearances were. How big are they that they need so much fish?
He swam closer, using his taloned fingers to scratch at a piece of the net, allowing for one of the fish to plop out into his webbed hand. Easy hunt, he thought to himself, swallowing the fish whole before reaching in to grab another.
This time, however, the whirring sound seemed to grow louder and the net began oscillating at a rapid rate. Before he could push himself away from the machine the net clasped around his tail and arm, forcing him into place with the rest of the fish surrounding him. He struggled, contorting his body forward and backward venturing to free himself.
SMACK!
All his sensitive skin could feel was a cold, damp metal beneath his limbs, fish jumping to and fro around him as the light from the boat blurred his vision. The slits in his eyes became thinner, almost nonexistent, when one of the men flashed something strikingly bright into his face. Two of the three voices now had a face and body, each distinct and rather ugly. The larger, burley man had no hair atop his head yet his arms were covered, a complete contrast to the smoothness of a mermaid's upper body. The one flashing an instrument in his face was rather lanky and petite, a beard cleanly growing across his chin and ending just above his collarbones. He couldn't find the third one, he didn't know if he even wanted to.
The bulky man had thin lips curled into an odd smile, like two sea worms bent in an odd angle, a tooth sticking out the side of his lip curiously. "What the hell am I looking at?" His voice was painful up close, the boy's finned ears twitching as they continued speaking.
"Certainly not a shark," the other whispered, a shocked expression painting his unkept features.
"Say, you a fuckin' mermaid?" He asked. The man took a thin metal rod and poked his tail.
"Mermaids are females, boss."
"Merboy?" He corrected himself sarcastically.
The fish-boy didn't speak, tightlipped and glaring at the men hovering above him. Occasionally, a frantic fish would slap him on his face.
"Well fuck me I guess." He rolled his eyes. "What should we do with it?"
"I don't know, boss, maybe we-"
A voice from behind the boy cut the lanky man off, "We make some money off of him."
He jerked his head back, staring wide-eyed at the new voice that had appeared. A light flashed, the man carrying a square box with a whitened piece of glass just over his eye. The third man, round and clean, looked like an office worker dressed up as a fisherman. "What?"
"You ain't hear me the first time?" He walked up to the boy, hands pulling at his tail just to check for any hint of falsehood. He growled at him, exposing two rows of sharpened teeth, the canines especially long. "Woah!" He stumbled back before recomposing himself. "How much money you think people would pay to see a mermaid?"
"It's a boy."
"Same thing." He shrugged.
"Probably a lot," the bigger man muttered, pondering for a moment. "What you say bout' bringin' him with us?"
"Where we gonna put him?"
"I can free up space in one of the barrels back at the yard. Some water should keep it alive." The lanky man walked closer to the boy, bending forward with a confidence only an idiot could sport. "You got lungs, right kid?"
These are the things that can fly like birds? He bitterly laughed to himself, as if!
The fish-boy hoisted himself up, lunging at the man and just barely grazing his left shoulder. His tail caught on the net, forcing his body back into the metal floor brutally.
"Shit!" The man whimpered, clutching into his shoulder feverishly. "The kid's got a bite to him."
"Grab the extra netting from the back." Ordered the hairy man immediately, that odd smile of his disappearing into a frown.
The men began tying him up, repulsed expressions covering their faces as they got a closer look at the struggling being. He was snarling, animalistic eyes wanting nothing more than to kill them for touching him with their filthy human hands. These men are exactly as the stories portrayed them! Absolutely abhorrent and disgusting!
Unfortunately for him, these men were massive, towering at 6 feet.
Mermen on the other hand didn't reach full maturity until age 20 and the majority of their size would come from the length and girth of their tail, not their upper bodies. Though, he imagined he would look significantly better than these rotten humans once he did reach adulthood.
He glanced at the fish and then at the hairy man. He was the one that would put up the most fight, he figured. The lanky one was weak and rather easy to overpower and the round one was a coward. If he could get rid of the one threat he would be free to escape.
"Please don't hurt me," he blurted, skin paling further and his body forcing a shiver.
"The little shit speaks!" The lanky man laughed.
"Aye kid, we're not gonna hurt you, sailor's promise." His target stepped forward.
Just a little more, he thought.
"I'm sorry for scratching you," he looked up at the men, big doe eyes pricking with non existent tears.
His new bald headed prey walked forward again, kneeling down and holding out a fish. He wondered if he was overselling the helpless child trope a bit too much, recalling how orcas would do something similar in the wild.
Whatever the case was, the man was within reach. He extended his webbed fingers, slow and innocent-like, but instead of grabbing the puffed fish he imbedded his talons into the man's eyes, pulling him on top before quickly searching his pockets for anything that would free him.
The men behind were bellowing out curses and shouts, petrified of the scene in front of them. As he suspected, the larger man ran back to the edge of the vessel, whitened knuckles grasping onto the metal in a horrified state. His fingers prodded and poked until something sleek and flat made contact with his palm. He fumbled with the edges of a strangely ornate and intricate design, swirls of flowers and odd vinery leading to a sharpened edge.
Just in time too, considering his friend, though weak, had garnered the courage to defend his crew imperishably.
He pushed the man's body forward, tripping the other while he made his escape over the edge of the boat, both screaming incoherently about one scary thing or the other. The boy allowed his no longer confined body to sink to the bottom of the ocean. He could still view the top clearly and hear the men's belting, unlike the darkness and comforting silence the ocean usually offered him. Their voices began to wane, signaling their exit. He was exhausted, hurt, and dejected.
And this interaction only proved to him the cruelty that human beings harbored within themselves.
Since that day, humans never made an appearance on Silnich waters again. Perhaps he had instilled a fear into them, a sense of self preservation that he knew only a selfish human could harbor. The humans must have warned the others, fed them stories about the attack of a crazed sea monster, who was really just a scared boy.
He was 24 now, a grown merman protective of the colony he had single-handedly protected. The fish were his to eat, the sharks and dolphins were his to play with, and the sky was entirely his to look at.
Until it wasn’t.
“Slow down you crazy child..”
The melodic harmonies began playing a soft tune.
“Take the phone off the hook and disappear for a while...”
It was a male singing, perhaps a siren? Though he had never met a male siren before.
“It's alright, you can afford to lose a day or two...”
The closer he swam to the shore, the more he could pick up on other voices.
“When will you realize…”
And there they were, long limbs swaying cautiously against each other, dull teeth hidden behind soft smiles and innocent laughter. Their feet were hidden within the ocean despite the light splashing.
And there she was, (h/l) (h/c) hair bouncing idly and her fingers interlacing with another of her species. She was rather beautiful, he thought for only a moment.
“Vienna waits for you...”
More humans came running into the water, two males and a female. And the merman's hazy thoughts were replaced with something more sinister.
Intruders, he told himself, in my waters.

rin's side stories: 01 - where rafayel debriefs the flammula
wc: 1.2k rating: G brief: after rafayel's first meeting with mc, he decides to debrief someone he can trust. someone who can't spill his secrets to anyone who can repeat them to mc. notes: gender neutral!mc, fluff, comedy, canon-compliant
“I was rather suave, wasn’t I?”
Silence answers him. The man doesn’t seem deterred—he flips over on his couch, back lying flat on the sofa as one leg crooks at the knee and dangles off the edge.
“See, you might not have gotten a good view of the scene, but I appeared like a knight in shining armor, okay? Exactly like all those fairytales. Picture this, the setting sun, a golden glow sinking over the city like a blanket. The light dancing off the water surface, making everything look iridescent and magical. The soft splashes of you guys, adding to the ambience of the place. It’s quiet. It’s picturesque. Am I painting a good picture for you?”
The red flammula circles around its massive tank. The tank is perched on the reinforced glass table, large enough that it practically takes up all the space. There are small underwater plants swaying with the ripples sent up by the portable water filter attached to the side of the tank. Sand and gravel sit at the bottom, with a few coral stones tossed in to add color to the place.
Inside, the flammula spits out a string of bubbles.
“You don’t get it. So there they were, helpless and shaking, like a seal pup in front of a great white. The setting sun set their hair alight, awash with that orange hue—I really need to paint this before I forget it—and they were just standing there. Their eyes darted around, begging for help, and there I was! Right in their line of sight; tall, handsome, elegant. Offering a comment about your tragic lifespans on land so they know I’m intelligent.”
The flammula hides behind a particularly big rock. On the couch, the figure splutters, sitting upright.
“Dropping an information snippet about the lifespan of aquatic creatures is not boring. It caught their attention. And then I took the net from their loose grip, emboldened by the hopeful gaze in their eyes, and swooped you up in one quick snap of my wrist. Really, you need to be better at running away from nets in the water. Is this how you got caught the first time?”
A long string of bubbles. The flammula swims out just to brush its underbelly against the sand before swimming back up to where the plants are swaying with the ripples.
“After catching you, I proceeded to tell her about your historic legend—”
The flammula winds itself around a long, dark green plant. It flops over, the plant wrapped around it, and pretends to go still.
A hand reaches over, one knuckle knocking in irritation at the side of the tank, right next to where the flammula is.
“A little respect would be deserved,” Rafayel huffs, throwing his head to the side. “I didn’t have to save you, you know. I could have let you live up to your exceedingly short lifespan with the rest of your brethren in that tiny pool, at the mercy of small land children with sticky fingers and unwashed hands.”
The flammula revives long enough to flap a fin at Rafayel and breathe out bubbles before it returns to playing dead.
Rafayel rolls his eyes. “Anyway, they then told me that Hat Island was closed off because of Wanderer sightings. Not that it would have stopped me, if I had really wanted to go, but—hey! This means they were concerned about me, weren’t they?”
The flammula doesn’t respond.
“I mean, I picked a random pamphlet out of that booth near the place just so I had something to do with my hands, but what a stroke of luck!”
Rafayel dips a hand in the water, far enough to gently poke the flammula with the tip of his index finger. “Look alive, comrade. I’m not done here.”
The flammula twists its body, slapping Rafayel’s index finger with its tail.
“They didn’t say it just because I’m a civilian and they were doing their job,” Rafayel shoots back, sounding miffed. “Well, whatever. Let’s move past that to the next important installation of our interaction, wherein I, very handsomely, popped you into the small container they were holding on to.”
A flurry of bubbles rise in the tank. The flammula seems to have a lot to say, reviving once more just to swim accusingly around Rafayel’s hand and bump angrily into his open palm.
“You were not going to die from air exposure. I barely held you out for less than a minute. I wasn’t going to just let you die like that. And you are really detracting from my entire experience, here. Regardless, after you were finally allowed to breathe again, they told me to go to Whitesand Bay. How cute,” Rafayel remarks, a smile pulling at his lips.
The flammula scrapes its body against Rafayel’s fingers, nipping at his fingertips.
“This level of aggression is seriously uncalled for,” Rafayel complains, poking the flammula’s tail. “I’m just trying to tell you about our meeting, and you’re acting like I tossed you into the middle of an oil spill. They told me to go visit Whitesand Bay, you know?”
He points outside the windows lining his wall, tempered glass from ceiling to floor, gesturing at the miles of paper white sand that stretch out before him. “How cute. Maybe I should invite them to walk with me at Whitesand Bay sometime.”
The flammula swings its tail, hitting Rafayel’s fingers. Once it gets the last word in, the flammula swims in a harried manner to the stone cave attached to the side of the tank, clearly ready to hide in there until Rafayel stops bothering it.
“You are no fun,” he tells the flammula, fishing his hand out of the water. There’s a brief flash and fire creeps up his skin, starting from his fingertips and crawling up his palms, the back of his hand, his wrist, his forearm—the flames lick at his elbow, and Rafayel shakes his arm out.
Just as quickly as it appeared, the flames disappear. Rafayel slips his dry palm into his pocket and stands, turning to eye the view from his window. The translucent curtains flutter in the seabreeze, carried in through one of the open windows, and Rafayel tilts his head back, slowly breathing it in.
“I’ll pack the rest of them and send them to where they should be,” he says, eyes closed, face turned to soak in the moonlight filtering through the glass. “I’ll send you along with them, I suppose.”
Bubbles escape the stone cave.
“I’m not in the business of raising dependents,” Rafayel comments, looking back to eye the tank speculatively. “If I do keep you around, historic part of Lemurian culture or not, know that I may or may not end up using you as a midnight snack if I’m feeling peckish.”
No response. Another round of playing dead.
“How interesting,” he murmurs, bending down to tap the glass. “Well, if I ever come up with a use for you, I’ll let you know. Maybe I can trick them into thinking we’re co-parenting you. Heaven knows you need to learn some manners, disobedient punk.”
The thought makes Rafayel smile. They wouldn’t get it; they would likely be confused at the concept of teaching a fish manners, but it’s as good an excuse as any to get them into Rafayel’s home.

*smacks hands together* alright guys since I started cracking the code to finally getting shit together imma give it to you. It’s not some 60 day fix your life hardcore butthole burner 3000 challenge. It isn’t gonna magically take your fucking depression away.
But listen, listen.
Put floss in a visible place— floss picks work fine. Start flossing before or after you brush your teeth.
Stretch in bed at night before you sleep. Two minutes is better than no minutes— butt up, crack your back, touch your toes or calves or something.
Start doing a “closer” on your room / home every night. Even if you’re exhausted. All you need to do is pick up the dirty clothes and put them in a hamper. Pick up the trash and throw it away. If you have a dishwasher, shove dishes in it and turn it on. If you don’t, do the easiest dishes you can. Wipe the counters down.
Sleepy time tea by celestial seasonings helps the skin because it’s got spearmint and helps anxiety because of the chamomile.
Comfort water bottle, 16 oz or more. Drink up.
Fill your water filter to the TOP every night before you sleep, now you have lots tomorrow and won’t avoid it as much.
Underwater aquarium ambience with fishies is great to watch and relax to.
Read fanfiction as a reward for doing something tough. Write one or use some shit like CAI to help you cope.
Organizing is hard. Get organizing shit from dollar tree and you’re done.
Have a hard time eating veggies? What’s your favorite veggie? Make that the majority of the veggie on your plate and the rest of the veggies aren’t as many. Huzzah.
Dino nuggets + tater tots + carrots is a perfectly fine meal. Eat.
ACCOMMODATE DONT IGNORE. I ignored and pushed neurodivergent things + chronic symptoms away for years. It did nothing. ACCOMMODATE IT.
Structure your week in hard days Vs easy days. Monday is my busy day, I do as much of the annoying cleaning as I possibly can on that day. I have my groceries delivered. I have lots to do. Tuesday is more relaxed but I finish shit on my to do lists. Other days are easier, because I don’t have to spend all damn day cleaning.
Do your fuckin stretching and cardio and whatnot in your pajamas. You don’t even need pants. Literally just do it naked before your shower if you want.

Kinrichment — Expressing Nonhumanity and Indulging in Kintype-like Behaviours:
Why is this important?
Species euphoria is a feeling of contentment, comfort, and rightness that one experiences when they’re able to present as and be addressed as their correct species. Activities that align closely with your species are an easy way to attain this. Species dysphoria affects a lot of us, so it’s handy to have an idea of how to combat this, or just an idea of how to have fun with and connect to your identity more.
If you are in a safe environment, and have the means to, it’s nice to try out some things that make you feel more like yourself. This could be as simple as making a few vocalisations (barks, growls, roars), eating kintype-related snacks such as jerky, and chewing on a plush toy or other safe object, or as elaborate as having a full-body fursuit or quad-suit of your kintype or living as close as possible like your species 24/7. I’ve tried to write some suggestions for activities, as well as methods on how to figure out some for yourself.
Tips and Suggestions:
It it helps, think of yourself as taking care of your enrichment needs as an animal. You are both a tiger and the keeper introducing a treat pumpkin into the enclosure.
Behavioural / Environmental:
— Research common behaviours or vocalisations of your kintype. Videos or documentaries may be helpful for this. Try to reenact them.
— Research your kintype’s habitat, and think about how you can replicate it in your own environment:
Spend time in a dark room for nocturnal kintypes. If possible, adopt a nocturnal sleep schedule. You could spend time outdoors at night such as in a garden, on a porch, or just looking out of an open window, use caution if going outside alone at night.
For cooler environments: go out in the cold or snow outdoors, sit in front of a fan, drink cold/iced beverages, or lay in an ice bath. Be careful not to develop hypothermia.
For hotter environments: rest near a heater, lay on a heated pad, sunbathe/bask, drink hot beverages, wrap up in a blanket or a few layers, or visit a sauna. Be careful not to overheat.
For underwater environments: swim, run a bath, or go out in the rain. You can also play whale song or underwater ambience.
For forest-dwelling kintypes: visit a forest or woodland, or play forest ambience.
You can take up outdoorsy hobbies such as hiking, camping, kayaking, trail riding, or mountain climbing.
If you cannot leave the house, can’t do these suggestions for any reason, or your species is from an environment difficult to replicate, a good alternative is to find a soundscape close to what your kintype is familiar with and practice meditation and visualisation, especially visualising yourself as your kintype exploring this habitat. Another option would be to write descriptive pieces or to draw scenery from noemata or from photographs.
— If your kintype is domestic, read care guides, forums, or books on how to raise and care for your species. It may have some suggestions for toys, games, and activities for you.
— If you are a working animal and miss having a task, find an easy way to continue doing that job by doing things such as tracking scents around your house, locating hidden objects, herding objects or (consenting) people, pulling objects to mimic a sled or carriage, standing guard in your room or house, asking a friend to give you tasks, or helping and guiding others, literally or emotionally.
— Play with toys for domestic canines/felines, but make sure they’re safe to chew and put in your mouth. An alternative to pet chew toys would be chewlery made specifically for human-bodied people.
— If your kintype is commonly kept in zoos, you can read relevant care guides and look at the enrichment suggestions. You won’t be able to do all of them, but it may spark inspiration for other games and activities.
Here are some suggestions of where to look:
Association of Zoos and Aquariums Care Manual
AZA Ungulates Husbandry Manuals
Australasian Zookeeping Husbandry Manuals
— Research the diet of your kintype, and then find some similar foods and recipes you can create and safely consume (there is elaboration on this topic further down).
— Build a nest or den out of blankets, pillows, and items you enjoy. You could also invest in a large dog bed.
— Go to the beach or create a sandpit to dig holes in, you can use your hands like front paws instead of a shovel.
— Quadrobics is a type of exercise based around running, walking, and jumping on four limbs like a quadrupedal animal. I do not know much about this, and definitely not enough to give any detailed tips here, so you should look into it for yourself if you’re interested in starting. Remember to always use safety gear such as wrist protection. A safer/easier way to do quadrobics is by ascending stairs on four limbs.
Aesthetic:
— If you’re an adult, you can wear certain pet-play gear such as pup hoods, pony hoods, paw mittens, and harnesses. Although on the pricier side, I find the hoods from Wruff Stuff to be more comfortable, customisable, and a nicer design than the more generic ones you see around. They stock a range of species designs such as dogs, cats, foxes, pigs, and dragons. They also sell bodysuits, collars, paw-design shoes, and harnesses. Not sponsored by them, I just think they’re neat.
— Wearing fursuits, quadsuits, or fursuit parts, such as fursuit heads, tails, horns, hoof shoes, wings, or paws to match your kintype.
— Wearing a belt-loop tail made from a (ethically-sourced, research where you’re buying this from) pelt or faux fur.
— Wearing animal ears on a headband or hair clips, or silicone elf-like ears.
— Another common accessory is collars. I recommend buying from a maker that creates them for human-bodied people, rather than pets, so you can get a comfortable size and a range of customisation, but it‘s fine to buy a large enough dog collar if that’s your only option.
— You can now find many face masks with teeth, animal print, and animal snout designs.
— Hoodies with attached ears, horns, and/or tail. These can be bought as custom-made or generic designs, generally from furry fandom creators.
— Claw rings
— Coloured contacts, make sure they’re from a reputable company.
— Body paint, body markers, or makeup. You can look up tutorials to achieve certain animal looks / traits.
Creative:
— Draw or paint a self-portrait, or visualise your phantom limbs and draw how/where they appear on your body.
— Write fiction, a non-fiction informational piece, or a personal essay about your experiences, your noemata, your species, a shapeshifter of your species, or an alterhuman like yourself.
— Create your own gear such as masks, yarn tails, or jewellery.
— Make music based on or inspired by your alterhumanity, or by your noemata of music styles from your life/world.
Miscellaneous:
— Collect items that remind you of your kintype such as plushies or ornaments. If your kintype hoards items, you could start your own hoard.
— Spend time with other nonhumans, whether in person or online. Discuss your feelings, memories, and experiences. Ask those of a similar species to you what activities help them experience species euphoria. You could join or create an alterhuman Discord community or pack if you so wish.
— Read the writings of other alterhumans, especially in terms of their experiences of animality, how they express(ed) their kintype, and species euphoria.
Fictionkin:
— For (humanoid) fictionkin: indulge in your kintype’s interests and hobbies, try food you enjoyed, dress in their style or even cosplay them, make playlists of songs that remind you of yourself/your life/those close to you, maybe you can find merchandise / replica props of objects that mean something to you.
— If you want to engage in fandom, you can publish fanfiction or fanart based on your noemata or become active in forums or subreddit communities dedicated to your source, but I wouldn’t recommend being openly fictionkind while you’re there.
— If your fictotype is a nonhuman species, think about the previous points more suited for nonhuman kintypes; if there are earthly animals similar to you (reptiles, mammals, fish, birds, insects) find out what’s recommended for them as well, it may be helpful to you.
Kintype-related Food:
A lot of my information is from the Safe Recipes for Nonhuman Identities lecture from Othercon 2021, although I have added a few things. I recommend watching this panel yourself for some specific recipe ideas and more information on food safety and preparation.
— Raw meat and fish are unsafe to eat and should be cooked thoroughly. Steak tartare, carpaccio (thinly-sliced raw meat or fish), or black-and-blue steak are some safer alternatives to just raw meat, but should be sourced and prepared by a professional.
— Raw eggs are unsafe to eat unless the eggs you purchase are pasteurised, or the egg has been irradiated.
— Candy chalk, bone-shaped meringues, hone-senbei (deep fried fish bones), and roasted marrow bones are good alternatives for bones. Although not a bone itself, soups and stews made from bone or bone marrow-heavy broths may be of interest.
— Hard candy in the shape of gems or crystals, rock candy, chocolate rocks, and pomegranate seeds are good alternatives for rock or gem cravings.
— Chocolate-covered crickets or ants, roasted and seasoned mealworms, black sesame seeds, roasted pine nuts, and roasted sunflower seeds are good options for insect cravings. A lot of insects are more-or-less readily-available to buy in the form of protein-rich snacks, flour, or novelty foods, though mostly from specialty stores.
— Cranberry juice, tomato juice, chocolate pudding thinned with warm milk are good alternatives for blood. Black pudding or blood sausage, if you can get it, is made with blood. You can ingest cow or pig’s blood on its own, if it’s sourced by a professional, however it can be risky.
— Canned meat (corned beef or Spam), canned fish (canned salmon or tuna), beef or pork jerky, fruit leather, snack cookies or crackers, cubes of cheese, and steamed rice with gravy/meatballs/meat chunks are good alternatives for domestic pet food / treats.
— You can source uncommon meat cuts and organ meat from a trusted butcher. Your butcher may also be able to tell you where to get anything they don’t sell.
— For vegetarian options for carnivorous cravings, jackfruit and tofu can make good meat substitutes. There are also a variety of meat-shaped meat substitutes such as Beyond Meat and Quorn.
— There are ‘kin recipe tumblr blogs who post and tag content specifically for certain kintype species, although most are inactive you can still look through the posts. There are also general ‘kin request blogs out there that will suggest recipes and snacks relevant to your kintype.

Closing Notes:
I definitely haven’t included every possible activity or kintype in here, I’m only one tiger after all, but I tried my best! Feel free to add any suggestions that help you, ask any relevant questions, or shoot me an ask and I’ll see what I can suggest for you (but keep in mind that I’m not a request blog).

I love Merfolk preds sm
Such majestic designs aside because let's be honest- Giant merfolks fuckin' ROCK I can't help but wonder how it would feel to be in their stomach as they swim through the ocean- the strange feeling of being in a soft confined space while also underwater feels like a hell of an experience, and also the sounds of the ocean adding an ambience to the sound of their bodies It honestly just all around feels like a really meditative experience and I wish I saw more of it 😭😭 But you know what they say, be the change you wanna see in the world!
