lia babe I NEED the eclipse profile PLEASE
just for you ig‼️

𓈀 ✹ eclipse is a kpunk/rock girl group under yg entertainment on january 11th 2024, the group as gained major popularity because of their unique concept especially under a entertainment like yg and for the fact the group had no major pre debut exposure, they are now considered the most popular 5th generation group as of right now.
THE DISCOGRAPHY ☾
DEBUT MINI ALBUM — AMNESIA january 20th 2024 (5 tracks) success level — successful
💿#TRACKS
01 . AMNESIA | written and produced by yn | 3 wins | 285M mv views
𓈀 SONG INFO: amnesia was the first song ever released by eclipse. the official yg entertainment youtube uploaded a clip of the intro of the song at 10:30 pm, most people assumed that it was for baby monster that debuted two months before but shortly after at 12:00 am january 11th, yg dropped the music video for amnesia officially introducing eclipse to the world.
[og artist- woodz]
02 . NO CELESTIAL | written and produced by yn | 10 wins | 395M mv views *official debut*
𓈀 SONG INFO: after days of people listening to amnesia, yg dropped photos for the concept of eclipses debut album causing absolute chaos, and then days later the group’s official debut song no celestial was dropped breaking records.
[og artist- le sserafim]
03 . SK8ER BOI | written and produced by yn | 2 wins | 100M mv views
𓈀 SONG INFO: this song was the third song apart of the girls music show promotion, yn wrote and produced it wanting to add that 2000s feeling to the album and was apart of the creative direction for the music video to complete that theme knowing how popular it was these days, and the work paid off with it becoming one of eclipse most popular songs.
[og artist- avril lavigne ]
04 . STILL INTO YOU | written and produced by yn |
𓈀 SONG INFO: the lyrics for into were written by yn but the original production was not produced by her, the production was more of a balled since most groups have them, even though yn highly disagreed with it since she felt like it didn’t fit the groups concept especially as someone who is in charge of the groups music but she knew she couldn’t do much and that the decision was final but one night she couldn’t get the fact that they would have to perform that song in a way they didn’t want to so she created the proper production and made her members do over the recordings without any permission and swapped out the track. so it was shock to the people in charge when the album dropped to hear a complete different version of the song and it was hard to get mad at yn for what she did with the massive success of the song.
[og artist- paramore]
04. BRAND NEW CITY | written and produced by yn |
𓈀 SONG INFO: if you asked yn why she wrote this song she would probably tell you because she was bored, completely not knowing how much thing song would affect people, it’s definitely one of the songs that eclipse has that has deeper meanings to it, it’s definitely an underrated one in their discography.
[og artist- mitski]
SINGLE — CITY LOVE march 15th 2024 success level — successful
| written and produced by yn |
𓈀 SONG INFO: this was just a random song yn has in the drafts and when yn is really bored she does impulsive things and because she has access to things that require the girls music, she just released it one random night, she did indeed get in trouble.
[og artist- bibi]
*COMEBACK* MINI ALBUM — REGRET OF THE TIMES july 4th 2024 (4 tracks) success level — very successful
💿#TRACKS
01 . NEVER STOP ME | written and produced by yn | 4 wins | 245M mv views
𓈀 SONG INFO: never stop me was the prerelease to eclipses summer comeback. this song came out on june 26th, immediately gaining success over the fun vibe.
[og artist- gidle ]
02 . REGRET OF THE TIMES | written and produced by yn & seotaiji | 5 wins | 321M mv views *title track*
𓈀 SONG INFO: regret of the times is a remake of the original song by seotaiji and boys with eclipses twist to it. yn had always loved the song so she got permission to remake it and also change a few things to the song when it came to production and lyrics. the song became a massive success and was definitely one of the songs of the summer.
[og artist- regret of times 2024 aespa remake ]
03 . WITHORWITHOUT | written and produced by yn | 2 wins | 195M mv views
𓈀 SONG INFO: withorwithout is on the lighter side with eclipses music. This summer yn was witnessing a lot of summer break ups so she felt like this would be the best song for the people experiencing sucky situations.
[og artist- yena ]
04 . ALL THE THINGS SHE SAID | written and produced by yn | | 200M mv views
𓈀 SONG INFO: yg told yn that just like every yg comeback there has to be some press and shocking stuff going around about the album and yn knew exactly what she had to do and immediately wrote all the things she said, which definitely caused a lot of shock.
[og artist- t.A.t.u ]
*COMEBACK* MINI ALBUM — YOU&I December 1st 2024 (4 tracks) success level — very successful
01 . PANDORA | written and produced by yn | 1 win |236M mv views
𓈀 SONG INFO: since the album was coming out in december a month where the winter season is very prominent, yn wanted to make a song that had a winter feel but was still very eclipse vibes.
[og artist- wisp ]
02 . YOU & I | written and produced by yn | 10 wins | 389M mv views *title track*
𓈀 SONG INFO: yn wanted their second comeback song to be very cinematic and yg agreed with her, so she started working ok you&i in the summer during their promotions for regret of the times, she put a lot of work into this song because she wanted it to be perfect, she wanted it to feel like it could be apart of a movie soundtrack, the girls we getting tired of the amount of times she called them back into the studio because she wasn’t satisfied with it, but in the end it turned out perfect.
[og artist- dreamcatcher ]
03 . CAN’T CONTROL MYSELF | written and produced by yn | 4 wins | 259M mv views
𓈀 SONG INFO: can’t control myself is a song that is very expected from eclipse, if there’s one thing yn wanted the most when she got the permission to be in charge of the group’s discography it was that they had an identity, that people could hear a song and be like “this is so eclipse.” doesn’t matter if it was a softer track and or a more hard hitting track, and can’t control myself was a perfect balance.
[og artist- taeyeon ]
04 . NERVOUS | written and produced by yn |
𓈀 SONG INFO: nervous is probably the most underrated track on the album, yn wrote it second last and it was one of the late additions but she put it in the middle of the track list, she wrote it after eclipse filmed the haunted house show with ive.
[og artist- the neighborhood ]
05 . DECODE | written and produced by yn | 175M live performance views
𓈀 SONG INFO: decode is a fan favourite and yn knew it would be, fans love when eclipse put out heartbreak type songs so yn knew exactly what she had to do, she has the talent to write from different perspectives and that’s exactly what she did for decode, she didn’t experience any heartbreak when she wrote decode but she knew how to put the pain into the song.
[og artist- paramore ]
06 . PICTURE YOU | written and produced by yn | 5 wins | 200M live performance views
𓈀 SONG INFO: picture you was a very different sound for eclipse, and was the last song added to the album, yn was honestly really scared about this song because this song made her feel so exposed for some reason, this was a song all about her feelings this wasn’t a story she made up in her mind she actually felt this way and she went through a lot of trouble recording it as well, this one part of the song with vocal flips towards the end of the song and yn felt like it was so intimate so she didn’t want to do it (she’s the only member who could do the vocal flips) even though she always does the last part of the songs so she brought in irene the main vocalist to do it but irene was never really good at vocal flips so yn brought in yg producers to help irene but it was no use, so one of the producers forced yn into the booth and made her record it just once and it was perfect and even though she’s hated it everyone thought her emotion fit it so well and that’s why their live performance video has so much views because everyone loved how yn sounded in the song but if you were to ask yn what song she hated the most she would say picture you.
[og artist- chappell roan ]

Folie A Deux Is An Underrated Masterpiece: 17 Years Later
It must have sucked to be almost any band other than Fall Out Boy in 2008. Aside from Fall Out Boy, only a few bands in the emo and pop-punk scene were on top. Those bands would have to be Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance, and maybe Paramore, but in their case, they were fresh off releasing 2007’s Riot. I would say that it was because Paramore only had a couple of albums, but Panic had only released their sophomore album, 2008’s Pretty Odd just a few years after their debut. Paramore hadn’t become the juggernaut that the other three bands already were, but they would soon get there. I think Panic and MCR sold more records than Fall Out Boy, but Fall Out Boy were always my favorite band of the scene, and they were the first band I truly loved from it. I did listen to MCR and Panic sooner, but I didn’t really love those bands as much as I loved Fall Out Boy when I first listened to them back in 2007. Fall Out Boy is a band that probably doesn’t need any introduction, because of how massive they were back 20 years ago (and still are today, partially thanks to nostalgia). That’s why it must have sucked to be any other band but them, because they were on top of the world. These four teenagers from Chicago went from putting out a scrappy debut album, 2023’s Take This To Your Grave, on a little known label at the time called Fueled By Ramen to putting out their mainstream breakthrough From Under The Cork Tree in 2005, as well as signing with Island in the process. The rest is history, because they would go onto sell millions of albums for the next few years until going on hiatus in 2009.
While they would come back again in 2013 with Save Rock & Roll, their “last” album before their hiatus was a contentious one. The band started off making of its time pop-punk on their first couple of albums, but their principle songwriter, composer, and vocalist Patrick Stump had a penchant for pop, R&B, and soul music. His vocals already sounded like they belonged in that vein, but his songwriting became more pop-focused with time. It all coalesced on 2007’s Infinity On High. That’s the album that got me into music, and I’ve talked about that many times, but that record was their first number one album and it catapulted them to mainstream superstars. They were huge by this point, and all eyes were on them for the follow-up. That’s where Folie comes into play, because this record has a contentious history with both their fans and the scene at large. This album went from being severely hated by fans (yet still liked by critics) to becoming a cult classic in their discography over the next decade. I missed my chance to talk about this record a couple of years ago when it turned 15, but I’ve been spending a lot of time with it this week, just because I’m feeling awfully nostalgic for the mid-00s emo, pop-punk, and neon pop-punk scenes that I was heavily involved with at that time. I wanted to talk about this album retrospectively, because this album was a big deal when it came out, but it’s still a big deal today. To understand why that album is such a big deal, it’s best to look at the time period the album came out in, where the band’s head was at that time, and the overall impact the album has made since its release back in 2008.
I just posted a piece on the mid-00s neon scene, and I talked about this album a bit, because of its association with the scene, as well as how influential this album was to a lot of bands in that scene. I only talked briefly about it, but Fall Out Boy were of the world before this album. They had just released Infinity On High, and that album introduced more of a pop and R&B sound to their repertoire, so they were able to rank in more fans that otherwise wouldn’t have heard of them. They were becoming a household name with that record, so the pressure was high for a suitable follow-up. Up until this point, however, the band operated similarly to The Beatles: they had two main songwriters, this time in the form of Patrick Stump and bassist / lyricist Pete Wentz. Patrick would write the songs and Pete would write the lyrics, but both guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley were becoming burnt out by not being able to contribute anything. This record was a lot more collaborative than their previous few (which is something they would continue more so on later in their career), but this was also their fourth album in five years. The wear and tear on the band was beginning to show, so it makes sense that they would take a hiatus after this one. They needed a break, and I can’t blame them whatsoever for that. Infinity On High marked their change in sound, but it wasn’t drastic enough that fans had an issue with it. The pop-punk was still there, but they had flashes of R&B, soul, pop, and other kinds of music, so it wasn’t as dramatic of a shift as Folie A Deux was.
In retrospect, Folie A Deux isn’t that much of a shift in sound. The band just went fully pop-rock with some power-pop, R&B, and soul elements in their sound this time around, versus being strictly pop-punk. The lead singles of this album are a good indicator of what to expect as a whole, those being “I Don’t Care” and “America’s Suitehearts,” both having huge choruses and witty lyrics that are less autobiographical for Wentz but look at society as a whole. Whether it’s how selfish people can be, or a scathing take on celebrity culture, these songs had the clever and fun one-liners that people expect from them, but they looked outward at the world at large, instead of inward. I think that turned off some fans, because they could relate to their cynical, self-loathing, and introspective lyrics, versus lyrics that talk about the world as a whole. What really turned off people was the sound, because if there’s something that a lot of scene and emo kids didn’t like, it was pop music. Pop music was a dirty word for a lot of kids that enjoyed that music, me included. Even now, a lot of fans that grew up still think pop music is bad. Some of it is, sure, but I’ve grown to enjoy a lot of it, and I don’t immediately disregard a band or artist for moving in that direction. The blatant embrace of pop-rock was something that turned off a lot of fans, and even back then, I couldn’t understand why. Bands like All Time Low, Forever The Sickest Kids, Mayday Parade, The Cab, and Cute Is What We Aim For were blatantly borrowing from pop-rock and power-pop, so why did people that Folie A Deux for doing the same thing? The vitriol that people felt with this album has always baffled me, and it’s baffled me even more so when people retroactively hailed this album as a masterpiece.
I’ve talked about this album quite a bit as well, but Folie A Deux is among my top three Fall Out Boy albums. I loved it back in the day, because it was their catchiest and their most cohesive album, and I still love it today. I’ve grown to enjoy all of Fall Out Boy’s albums in some capacity, but I still have a soft spot for their last two albums before the hiatus. I love their latest album, too, So Much (For) Stardust, and that’s among my top three as well, but that’s neither here nor there. This record has razor sharp hooks that are among their best, but Patrick’s vocals are also among their best as well; people knew that Patrick could sing, and he demonstrated that well on their first few albums, but Infinity On High started to embrace more styles of music that complemented his vocals. Folie A Deux is the album where Patrick’s vocals were really shown off, but the rest of the band was firing on all cylinders as well. This is super catchy, tight, fun, and energetic as all get out. I don’t get why fans hated this album, but it’s funny that it’s considered to be one of their best now. By the point this record came out, however, the band were burnt out by touring and writing. They needed a break, so they took one. I remember when they announced their hiatus, and it was a sad day for the pop-punk scene. They were a band I had just gotten into a couple of years ago, but it was for the best, I think. The band went their separate ways, and they participated in side projects. Most notably, Hurley and Trohman teamed up with Anthrax’s Scott Ian and Every Time I Die’s Keith Buckley for The Damned Things, a pretty cool hard-rock / heavy metal band, and Patrick Stump’s solo music.
It's kind of a shame, too, because Patrick’s solo music picked up where Folie left off. He really went to pop, soul, and funk music, but fans hated that stuff so much, they booed him off stage many times during a solo tour, and Patrick quit music for a few years. The fan backlash against Folie and his solo music was so toxic, awful, and undeserving. I don’t understand why people hated any of that to begin with, but here we are. That’s just how people were, and unfortunately, still are. Folie has gone onto being a cult classic, and for good reason. It’s got a lot of their best material, as well as a killer lineup of guest stars. On “What A Catch, Donnie” alone, there’s The Cab’s Alex DeLeon, The Academy Is’ William Beckett, Gym Class Heroes’ Travie McCoy, Cobra Starship’s Gabe Saporta, Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie, and Elvis Costello, but Lil Wayne also shows up in the record, so it’s a stacked lineup on there. They pulled all the stops out for that record, but for good reason. Say what you will about their post-hiatus material, but Folie A Deux is among their best in their discography. It’s got such a special place in my heart, because of how this album influenced a lot of other bands and albums I listened to at the same time, but it also influenced what I like in terms of catchy hooks and vocalists with a lot of range. If you haven’t listened to this thing in awhile, I’d say give it another listen. It absolutely rules all these years later, and it’s easily among their best.

butterfly motif 🦋& vedic astrology
ive wanted to exclusively dedicate a post towards the use of the butterfly motif in pop culture, so here it is!! i think butterflies have had a re-emergence in fashion in the last few years and im here for it!!
🦋 as i've mentioned in many other posts, the nakshatras closely tied to using this motif repeatedly are the pisces rashi nakshatras of ubp and revati along with punarvasu nakshatra.
Revati moon, Rihanna wearing butterfly eye lashes.
Venus exalts in Pisces and ive noticed that these natives are often drawn to Venusian aesthetics and imagery.
Rihanna at a Savage x Fenty show. You cannot tell me this isn't reminiscent of the Birth of Venus and the colour scheme is super Venus coded as well.
UBP sun Lady Gaga wearing butterfly face paint. she has often gravitated towards this motif over the years.
here she is in a blue butterfly dress
idk about you but when i see wings, i think butterfly 🦋. hence why this look is here 🤭😌
yet another lady gaga butterfly lewk
2. bella hadid for Swarovski. bella has ketu in ubp and girlie is obsessed with butterflies 😍
3. kendall jenner, ubp moon wearing a butterfly print dress
4. emrata, also ubp moon wearing a butterfly print dress
5. urfi javed, an indian entertainer who has ubp ketu wearing an outfit with a butterfly motif
6. dua lipa, punarvasu moon and known for her butterfly obsession wearing a blumarine butterfly head to toe lewk
7.brie larson ubp asc wearing a winged dress
8. sarah jessica parker is ubp sun & venus with revati mercury atmakaraka and this is a vvv iconic look from sex and the city
9.bella hadid had an nft thingie and the teaser(?) for it depicted her as a cyborg in a pool of water with butterflies. couldn't get more pisces coded than that tbh
10. queen latifah, ubp sun with those butterfly tats. ive noticed a lot of pisces girlies specifically choosing blue butterflies over any other type👀
11. halsey, punarvasu moon and has a butterfly tattoo!!
12. mariah carey, i mean we all know the OG iconic butterfly top moment but here's an underrated lewk from this punarvasu queen who also has an album titled Butterfly
she also has a perfume line called Lollipop Bling that's packaged like this:
13. Kendrick Lamar's to pimp a butterfly
he has mercury and mars in punarvasu. jup in revati atmakaraka and ubp rahu. lamar has implied that the title alludes to the nature of celebrity and how something free spirited and beautiful can be so violently controlled. again, VERY pisces coded.
14. brand new eyes by paramore
hayley williams, who is the lead singer has revati mars amatyakaraka.
15. dolly parton has a very very famous song called love is like a butterfly, she has punarvasu mars conjunct saturn. look at the lyrics of the song, only a cancer girlie would go so soft like this 🥺
Love is like a butterfly
As soft and gentle as a sigh
The multicolored moods of love are like its satin wings
Love makes your heart feel strange inside
It flutters like soft wings in flight
Love is like a butterfly, a rare and gentle thing
Dolly also has a perfume called "Tennessee Sunset" and its packaged like this:
16. alexander mcqueen, the fashion designer had ubp sun and used lots of winged imagery in his work
17. vincent van gogh, revati sun ubp venus and mars and punarvasu rising has a series of paintings called butterflies. i personally associate whimsical art with both pisces rashi and punarvasu. ill make another post some day but the impressionist movement and even the surrealist movement were vvv influenced by these two placements.
18. Papillon 1973
its based on the true story of henri charriere, who is played by steve mcqueen in the movie. not only is the movie called papillon (french for butterfly) the character also has a butterfly chest tattoo and steve mqueen has ubp sun, revati venus atmakaraka and punarvasu rising
19. silence of the lambs<3
one of the most iconic movie posters of all time features a moth. this moth also plays a key role in the movie and is a major motif.
the book on which the movie was based was written by thomas harris, who has a revati stellium (sun, jupiter & ketu)
20. SPOILER ALERT!!
in the movie corpse bride, the titular character dissolves into a bunch of butterflies at the end of the movie
corpse bride is played by helena bonham carter who has ubp saturn and ketu in revati
21. Kali Uchis, punarvasu sun often uses butterfly imagery
This photoshoot was conceptualised and shot by the South Korean photographer Choi Gi Seok who has purvabhadrapada moon (0 degrees pisces)
His work heavily features butterfly imagery ;
XxxxxxX
my own take is that, since pisces is the final rashi and the point of "absolution" it represents the end of chrysalis, when all elements have come together to create transformation; in pisces there is nothing left to do, but seek liberation from these cycles (its purpose is moksha, after all) and dissolve entirely into the cosmic ocean.
a butterfly is a beautiful symbol, representing not only the death of the creature that inhabited the cocoon but also reminding us that that death is necessary because only then can something as beautiful as a butterfly emerge from within that womb. the womb is the source of creation but you're not meant to stay there forever, that's not just stagnancy, that's death. birth is a painful process because you're leaving behind the only place you've ever known but you have no other option so you must be brave enough to face it.
this brings us to the connection of punarvasu nakshatra to butterflies. punarvasu's deity is goddess Aditi who is creation itself; she is the cosmic mother, she created this universe. in pisces, you seek liberation from the cycles of life but in punarvasu, life, the universe, creation itself takes place. thus it represents the butterfly emerging from the cocoon to claim its identity as a butterfly because the life it led before that was a non-life, it wasn't yet a butterfly, it was a non-being. goddess Aditi embodies infinite space and primordial vastness. what better way to represent the cosmic abundance than with a symbol like a butterfly? 🦋you cannot ask who created you because you are your own creation
“Once upon a time, I dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was myself. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.”- Zhuangzi
xxxxxxx
that's it for now but i'll keep updating as i find more examples💛i hope this was interesting<3

HI! I heard foals live when they were touring with paramore and was wondering if you had any recs of where to start listening to them, i liked the overall vibe but couldn't understand any of the words during the concert haha
Hi anon! Firstly, very jealous that you saw them open up for Paramore. I was supposed to see them in Minnesota on that tour (and then specially Foals in Chicago for their Lolla aftershow following that) and my entire plans fell through... Still one of my biggest regrets there... Anyway! I'm happy you're willing to give them a try!
I answered a previous ask with some recs right here if you want to start there! That anon said they listened to Total Life Forever already, but if you want any TLF recs, I'd personally recommend After Glow, Wear & Tear (technically a B-side on this album, but I'm including it, it's one of their best) and/or Spanish Sahara (which I'm sure is one of the ones you heard live, if you remember it)!
If you want any more recs, let me know! They're such an underrated band and I'm happy people are asking me about them. :)
#answered#Anonymous#The Foals girlies stay winning! All five of us on here (and we are all holding hands).#Me when someone asks me about Foals: :D#Me five seconds later when I realize I get to talk about my special interest (they are one of them): 😈

Tag Game: Top 10 Albums
I love tag games, but I'm always hesitant to start my own. (Which doesn't really make sense, 'cause, I mean, they gotta start somewhere, right? 😂) So I decided to start one!
Anyway, I've seen a ton of these going around about music, and I was thinking, we've all got our favorite songs, but it's a rare and beautiful thing to find an entire album where you can vibe with every (or almost every) track. With that in mind...
Rules: List your top 10 favorite albums, and (if you want) include a brief description for why each one made it onto the list. Then, tag 10 (or however many you want, really) others to do the same.
Tagging: @merge-conflict, @fereldanwench, @halliserres, @milkywayes, @illusivesoul, @ghostoffuturespast, @luvwich, @kirschewine, @mirandaputsherbestbuttforward, and @andrewknightley.
My 10 Ten Albums
#1 Coral Fang (2003) - The Distillers
Reasons: Every few years, I rediscover this album and remember that it's my favorite album of all time. Brody Dalle's voice is harsh, deep, raspy, melodious, and emotional. The instrumentals are high octane and immersive. This album is a beating heart to me. It's feral.
#2 Fantastic Planet (1996) - Failure
Reasons: Failure's my favorite band of all time. My favorite album from them is Fantastic Planet. It's industrial, grunge, and shoegaze all in one package. With a sci-fi theme to boot, and a otherworldly soundscape. This band is extremely underrated. They really should be up there with the other greats of the 90s.
#3 Bleed Out (2022) - The Mountain Goats
Reasons: I think this is the newest album on my list, which is kinda funny. John Darnielle is my favorite songwriter of all time. His lyrics are deeply wonderful and quirky and disturbing. It's hard to pick a favorite album by The Mountain Goats, but the dark, violent, and insightful film noir theme of this one really does it for me.
#4 Light Me Up (2010) - The Pretty Reckless
Reasons: I haven't listened to this one in a bit, but it's mostly just because I've heard it about a billion times since I was 15. It's an iconic part of my teenage years. Taylor Momsen is literally my favorite vocalist of all time. Her voice never fails to impress me.
#5 With Teeth (2005) - Nine Inch Nails
Reason: It was hard to pick my preferred NIN album because I've never heard a song by them that didn't instantly rewire my brain and become my new favorite song. Actually, it was a toss up between this and Year Zero. If you asked me a different day, I might pick Year Zero. But I think this one has more songs that are top NIN songs for me. It's nearly a toss up though.
#6 Live it Out (2005) - Metric
Reasons: This is one of Metric's older albums, back when they had a more garage rock sound, although they still went pretty heavy on the electronic elements and they had the same dystopian sci-fi themes they do today. I prefer it to their newer stuff mostly just because of the heavier sound.
#7 Live (Secrets of the Lost Satellite Tour, Spring 2007) - Ken Andrews
Reasons: Ken Andrews is the lead singer of Failure, my favorite band. This does have some of the same songs that are on Fantastic Planet, but it also has some of Ken's solo work. It's a very atmospheric and dreamy album, and the fact that it's live and you can hear the crowd sometimes and the way he talks to them adds to that.
#8 So You've Ruined Your Life (2003) - Get Set Go
Reasons: This is Get Set Go's first album, and it's always been my favorite, even though I love Mike's newer stuff too. He's not as pop punk as he used to be, which is why I prefer it, but his outrageous and obscene lyrics are exactly what they used to be. This is the same guy who wrote a song about wanting to have sex with dinosaurs. A very explicit song about wanting to have sex with dinosaurs. He's ridiculous.
#9 Brand New Eyes (2009) - Paramore
Reasons: Some people would probably say I'm a fake Paramore fan, because I don't really care for any of their new stuff. It's not bad or anything, it just doesn't appeal to me on the same level that their first three albums do. I do love Riot! for its extreme energy and emotional highs of anger and joy, but Brand New Eyes is better for me thematically. I love the lyrics about growth and change and independence.
#10 xx (2009) - the xx
Reasons: I don't think I've ever heard duets better than what Romy and Oliver can do. The way the lyrics overlap, the way they finish each other's words. They do things with the concept of a duet that other groups just don't. The soundscape is very lowkey and chill and almost kinda highbrow in a weird way. Like, I feel like this is the kind of music that professional musicians list as their favorite music, if that makes sense.
#spotify#tag games#music#hope you all enjoy this if you decide to participate!#no pressure to anyone tagged ofc

hiii!!! I saw a post that said you needed some more bands recs, so here's some of my personal favs that I think are underrated (and if you already listen to some or all of these, I'm sorry :,) i also wrote this at 1 am so if theres any grammar mistakes im sorry 💔)
Hayley Williams - i see you already listen to Paramore, but in case you haven't listened to Hayley Williams' solo albums, PLEASE DO THEY ARE SO GOOD OMG. I definitely recommend listening to petals for armor and flowers for vases, both absolutely GOATED albums that are some of my all time favs :3
sleeping with sirens - i saw on your post that you listen to ptv, and most ptv fans that I've met LOVE sws (including me lmao.) this band is touring with ptv for their i can't hear you tour which, is the first time theyve toured with ptv in almost 10 years! the lead singer of this band was also featured on king for a day :D some album recs from them are with ears to see and eyes to hear and let's cheers to this, and madness (my fav from them is with ears to see ^_^)
linkin park - linkin park is my 3rd all time favorite band and I'm currently hyperfixated on their new lead singer! this one is also an extremely popular band, and you've probably heard of them before. I haven't listened to all of their albums yet, but in my opinion, they are an AMAZING band!! Chester's vocals are absolutely amazing, and i can not say this enough!! same with their new singer Emily!! some album recs i have for this band are hybrid theory, meteora, minutes to midnight, and from zero (which is their newest album)
dead sara - this was Emily's band before she joined linkin park. they are an AMZING BAND and even after Emily got famous after joining lp, I still think that this band is incredibly underrated. some album recs i have for this band are their self titled album, pleasure to meet you, and temporary things taking up space (which is an ep.)
evanescence - i actually don't know a lot about this band and I've only listened to like 2 of their albums :,) but i definitely recommend listening to fallen and the open door.
newgrounds death rugby - I'm not sure if you like midwest emo type music but if you do, I recommend listening to pictures of your pets. I think that this band is super underrated.
meet me @ the altar - I can not say this enough this band is EXTREMELY UNDERRATED. one of their songs did get pretty popular, and i think they got featured on a taco bell ad? but other than that, i don't feel like I've seen enough people talk about them. They are INCREDIBLE. they're also an all girls band!! I recommend listening to past // present /// future and the model citizen ep.
picture me broken - another incredibly underrated female fronted band that I recommend. they only have one album and one ep, both i recommend listening to.
halfnoise - another band that I think you would like if you listen to Paramore. this band is lead by Paramore's drummer Zac Farro! I feel like I don't see enough people in the Paramore fandom talk about this band and how incredible Zac's vocals are. Hayley was also featured on their song "as u wave." i recommend listening to natural disguise and the velvet face ep.
so that's all of the recs that I can think of right now. again, if you already listen to some of these I'm sorry. I'm just happy I can yap about some of my favorite bands and artists ^_^

for that music ask game, all the multiples of three (except 6 and 12) and also 14 and 20
youre making me think with this one. okay hold on
3. who is the artist you put on to make you smile?
id probably say paramore bc i was listening to them a lot when i started dating my boyfriend. specific songs make me happy because of that reason :]
9. which artist has been the most life changing for you?
scissor sisters changed my music taste (i went from pop to like. rock adjacent music as well as scissor sisters) so id arguably say they could count. but if i was to proprely answer, id say paramore for the reason stated in the last question. also because earlier this year i started having more bad days than ever, and i would listen to them a lot more than anyone else
14. who is the most overrated artist in your opinion?
ummmmm there are probably a few i would think of if i was to look for them. the first one that popped into my mind is one direction (ive never liked boy bands) but then i remembered taylor swift exists and so im changing my answer to her
15. who is the most underrated artist in your opinion?
funnily enough most of the artists i listen to are usually considered underrated by people who listen to them. i dont think any of them are more underrated than each other. if i was to mention a few, id say slenderbodies (indie pop?), alfie templeman (similar thing) and bombay bicycle club (indie rock???)
18. how important is music to you on a scale of 0-100 ?
very very important. so important. maybe 99
20. which album deserved that damn grammy?
i do not pay attention to the grammys so i do not know!! 😭
23. how did you discover your favorite artist?
i dont remember how exactly i found them but i think someone recommended still into you by paramore via fanfic prompts and then i started listening to them a little while afterwards
hope i didnt miss or accidentally add any. lol

♡ My favourite bands and music!! ♡
🎀 The Pretty Reckless Favourite album: Light Me Up Favourite songs: I can't choose
I can't even express how much I love TPR. They've been my favourite band for so long and I just love all of their music so much. Even though they're pretty popular, I still view them as underrated because they're just so good that I feel like they'll never be appreciated enough. Taylor is also a really incredible frontwoman and vocalist.
🎀 Paramore Favourite album: Riot! Favourite songs: Misery Business, Emergency, Fences, Ignorance, You First
Paramore was one of the first bands I listened to when I was first getting into emo music and they're definitely one of the main reasons why I love pop punk. When I first discovered them, I basically refused to listen to anything else and would just listen to Riot! on repeat.
🎀 Tally Hall Favourite album: Marvin's Marvellous Mechanical Museum Favourite songs: Two Wuv, A Lady, Greener, Hidden In The Sand, Welcome to Tally Hall
Before I started listening to Paramore and The Pretty Reckless, Tally Hall was my favourite band. They were a big part of my childhood and I've just been a big fan for a long time. Legitimately the only things I don't like about them are that I didn't get one of the Yootooz plushies and they're disbanded (okay and maybe one other thing).
🎀 Melanie Martinez Favourite album: Crybaby Favourite songs: Mad Hatter, Spider Web, Strawberry Shortcake, Teddy Bear
Melanie is probably the artist I listened to the most when I was younger. I found her music when I was about ten and I loved how unique it was. Even though her music is different from a lot of the things I listen to now, I still listen to her a lot and she'll always be one of my favourites.
🎀 My Chemical Romance Favourite album: Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge Favourite songs: Vampire Money, Helena, Famous Last Words, Vampires Will Never Hurt You
I'm honestly not really sure what I could say about MCR that hasn't been said on here before considering how much people gush about them on Tumblr, so all I'm going to say is that I love them and Mikey is just like me fr.
Some other bands I like:
🎀 Hole 🎀 Avril Lavigne 🎀 Babymetal 🎀 Maggie Lindemann 🎀 Cavetown 🎀 The Birthday Massacre 🎀 Poppy 🎀 Pierce The Veil 🎀 Sleeping With Sirens 🎀 The Academy Is...
That's it, byeeeee!! ˚。⋆୨୧˚♡

okay quick rant about the grammys and my opinions:
VERY excited to see boygenius win! i think it’s so important for an openly queer/radical/pro choice/pro palestine group to break into the mainstream scene. they won for the right categories and for the ones they lost i thought it was fair🦷🦷🦷🦷
also loved seeing laufey win, i’ve been a fan of hers for a couple of years and she’s bringing jazz/classical elements to the forefront for young people to learn and live and she’s just such a beauty and talent.
PARAMORE WIN!!!!! sooooo deserved!!!!! also so insane that it’s the first time IN HISTORY for a female led band to win their award. so crazy. if you haven’t listened to This Is Why i honestly still think it’s underrated by the masses lol please go listen
caroline polachek was already snubbed for so many categories that seeing her lose made me furioussssss omg. i’m not mad about who she lost to but Desire, I Want To Turn Into You was one of the best albums of 2023 so it should’ve been nominated for so many more 💔
midnights deserved pop vocal, NOT ALBUM OF THE YEAR😭😭😭😭 i love taylor and think she is a genius but midnights just was not the album of the year. (the recording academy constantly snubs black women for the big categories when they make the most noise). the nominees were honestly kind of meh but i really had my heart set on Lana or SZA….. which i haven’t even listened to that thoroughly but those albums were loved by everyone even outside of their fan bases and were so deserving! i am screaming about her album announcement tho. so fucking excited lmfaooo The Tortured Poets Department is giving english professor vibes and yall know me
jack antonoff producer of the year not mentioning bfiafl is honestly funny lol i don’t fully understand what jack/matty’s relationship is like at this point in time but i just think he mentioned the other two albums he was being recognized for because they were the ones nominated?? idk
i do feel like the 1975 deserved one (1!!!! one only) nomination for best alternative performance with About You but mannnn some people saying they were snubbed for aoty are being a bit delusional i’m sorry😭😭😭 i’m just being realistic. obvs i think all of their music is award worthy but like sometimes you just have to consider the state of the academy💔
anyway rant over the other categories i don’t really care about so that’s it

The All-American Rejects Are Kind Of Underrated
One of my favorite things about media and entertainment is that everybody’s experience with a certain medium is different. Not even in terms of liking different things, because everyone’s taste is also different, but people also discover things differently. The first album that you ever heard, or that made you fall in love with music, might not be the same one that I first fell in love with. My favorite bands when I first got into music might not be the same as yours, but if they are, that’s a really cool thing we can bond over. The experiences that people have when it comes to getting into music are all different, and I just love how unique everyone’s individual experiences can be. I first got into music my eighth grade year, so when I was about 12 or 13 years old, but I didn’t completely get into music right away. I mainly always just listened to whatever my parents liked, so a lot of country and some classic rock (their classic rock collection was pivotal in me getting into classic rock around a year or two later, especially with bands like Hall & Oates, The Eagles, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, who are three of my favorite bands today), but I wanted music that was “mine.” I guess I grew up at the right time, because this was when emo, pop-punk, and alternative was exploding in the mainstream. As a kid going through puberty, I was very angsty, emotional, and going through a lot of changes, both physically and emotionally, so I was looking for stuff that I could relate to. The alternative scene really spoke to me, so bands like Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, My Chemical Romance, and Paramore were bands I gravitated towards.
The first album I ever picked up, however, was a little record called Move Along by The All-American Rejects. That album turns 20 this year, and I wanted to write a retrospective on that album by itself, but a few weeks ago, I picked up their debut and the follow-up to that album, those being the 2002 self-titled and 2008’s When The World Comes Down, so I wanted to talk about their first few albums as a whole. I’ve spent some time with these, and I think The All-American Rejects are a rather underrated band, at least these days, anyway. They were huge back in the 00s, but their star power has fallen a bit, especially in terms of a mainstream band. They’re pretty nostalgic for a lot of people, myself included, but they’re not the rockstars that they once were. They just put out a new single after over a decade of being inactive, but people mainly remember their first few albums, especially Move Along. That was their peak, but When The World Comes Down was a still pretty successful album I its own right. Their self-titled debut, however, is where it all began. This album has the single “Swing, Swing” that a lot of people remember as well, especially in the alternative and emo scene. They weren’t super popular yet, but this record was a big deal. The All-American Rejects are cool, too, because they had one foot in the mainstream alternative scene and the emo and pop-punk scene. They were a perfect “crossover” band in that sense, so I can understand why their sophomore album exploded. Their debut, however, is more or less a power-pop, pop-rock, pop-punk, and emo record that runs the gambit of all those styles. This record is kind of rough around the edges in spots, but it’s a charming and fun little record. I don’t have a lot to say about it, and that’s one reason why I wanted to talk about their first three albums as a whole, because their debut is pretty generic. It’s really good, and it’s got some great hooks on it, but it’s nothing you haven’t heard before.
It's their sophomore album, 2005’s Move Along, where I think they got a lot better. This album was a big moment for the band, whether it was the title track, “Dirty Little Secret,” “Stab My Back,” or a few other songs on the record, but this record is really awesome. This record moved the band into a more mainstream pop-rock sound, but they kept some pop-punk and emo influences. The hooks were more pronounced, and more pop-focused, but the lyrics were still kind of emo and relatable, so they had a nice balance. I love this record, and I was surprised at how much I love it, because I hadn’t listened to it in so long, but I dusted it off when I picked up their debut and third albums, so I was like, “Let me listen to the album I remember, and see how it holds up,” but I love it. It’s so catchy, fun, and full of variety, it never gets old. Every song is very catchy, well-produced, and unique to itself. This album has a few lanes it goes down, but it manages to be unique and catchy. Every song sticks out, and the album never gets boring or lackluster, so I love it. I don’t have a lot to say about this album the more that I think about it, minus the nostalgia that I have for it, because it’s a relatively straightforward pop-rock album, but it’s a great one. It’s one of my favorites of the era, but I think it’s kind of the more underrated albums, only because so many great and iconic albums came out at the time. That same year had albums from Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Paramore, Avenged Sevenfold, Plain White T’s, The Academy Is, and a ton more heavy hitters, so this album got the shaft. It was a still a success, because people loved a few singles from it, but I think this album is more underrated these days, despite being one of the best albums from that year.
Their follow-up, however, is another album that I hadn’t heard. I never checked it out when it came out in 2008, but I think that’s because I was into metalcore and post-hardcore at the time, along with a bunch of “neon pop-punk,” so the album fell to the wayside for me. I’ve listened to When The World Comes Down a few times, and aside from the lead single “Gives You Hell” being pretty cool, I don’t care for this album a whole lot. I don’t dislike this record at all, but it’s definitely a step down from their last two. It’s a generic pop-rock album, but without any of the emo and pop-punk influence that they had, even on their last album. This album isn’t bad, or even offensive in any way, but it’s a generic and boring album that doesn’t quite do anything interesting. I don’t actively dislike it, but there’s a step down in quality. There’s a reason why this album didn’t do as well, and it’s both due to the fact that pop-rock in the mainstream was starting to die down by this point (minus a few bands that would still very popular in the coming decade), and this record just isn’t great. It’s fine, but this isn’t a good first impression with this band, so I’m glad I got Move Along, because that album is so good. There’s just something about it that doesn’t click with me that much, and it’s unfortunate, because I really want to like it more. I might need to give it more listens, but it’s still a decent record. I don’t hate it or anything like that, but it’s easily not my favorite.
The All-American Rejects are a weird band in the context of 00s music, because they were really big at the time, but now you don’t hear about them as much. That’s sort of the case of Lifehouse, too, which is a band that I just talked about as well, because they were big in the 00s, but they disappeared after their hiatus in 2015. Maybe The All-American Rejects might have their moment hear soon, especially if they drop a new album, but they’re still kind of an underrated band. I’d ultimately recommend the first two albums, and I’ve never even listened to their last album, but I’ve heard it was okay. I know it came out in 2012, but I felt as though I was “too old” for that music by then, so I never listened to it. Looking at them retrospectively, they were a solid band. I loved Move Along, and it still holds up today. Even their debut holds up fine, but it’s a bit around the edges in spots. I think emo and pop-punk fans may like that one more, because it does have more of a foot in the pop-punk and alternative scene, but Move Along is more or less a pop-rock album. That’s my favorite of the bunch, and that’s surprisingly the one that I’ll go back to most. I’m surprised that I love that album as much as I do still, because I didn’t expect it to hold up so well. It’s just a very catchy album, and if you want a good pop-rock album, you should check this out. Hell, if you got into this album back in the day, too, I’d recommend hearing this again. I’ve been having a lot of fun with this album, and even if When The World Comes Down isn’t a truly great record, it’s still got some catchy and fun songs on it, so I’d still give their first albums a listen. They’re one of the most underrated bands of that era now, and it’s been a ton of fun getting into their first few albums again.

Ranking Taylor Swift's albums based on how many songs are in my playlists:
Number of songs that are in parentheses are additional songs that were not part of the original album rollout (soundtracks, remixes, vault tracks) and will be listed after the original album songs.
Okay, Let's go:
11th: Taylor Swift (self-titled Debut) - 0
It's common for an artist's first album/EP to simply be a collection of the songs they made so far and that's what this is. This isn't really an era but more just a beta test of Taylor.
But i do have a feeling that Debut tv will have the biggest amount of rerecordings as well as the biggest change in the vocals which scares me.
10th: Folklore - 1
The first of Taylor's depression decade starts with a typical COVID-19 lockdown depression yearning for a cottagecore escapism.
Following the dip of Lover and the lack of publicity due to quarantine restrictions and a surprise release made this album appear in low profile but between the times and the message of the songs it was better for it.
Songs: Cardigan.
8th (tie): The Tortured Poets Department - 2
Despite me being fully on the Eras Tour/the rerecordings/Midnights hype train, TTPDs double album and several variants started to feel a bit too much. It just felt being the 50 kg cherry on top of the thousand flavor, million calories oversaturation dessert.
This is an adult album written by an adult woman for adults. Rawdogging real life as it is with all the problems and each problem with it's own bullshit. And also a lot more swearing than before.
Songs: Fortnight, I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.
8th: (tie): Fearless - 2
The princess of the midwest waiting for her high school prince find out that she exists. That's Fearless, this album invented the cliche of removing the glasses of the shy nerdy girl to see and show the world how pretty she is.
Unlike Debut's truck country genre, being a princess in an all american high school fairytale seems to work better with her songwriting skills.
Songs: Love Story, You Belong With Me.
7th: Speak Now - 1(+2)
It makes sense for being known as the Enchanted era as this underrated album feels the least like a "Taylor Swift genre" and the most like other popular 00s grudge rock subgenres of the time, similar to Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Paramore and Fall Out Boy (which the latter two appeared in the album).
Songs: Better Than Revenge, Electric Touch, I Can See You.
6th: Evermore - 2(+1)
Jack Antonoff once said that Taylor wrote Willow in 20 minutes it was quickly followed by the decision to make a second "COVID-19 lockdown depression yearning for a cottagecore escapism" album, and thus Evermore was born.
Honestly considering how much the two album share the theme, mv continuity, and release year. Folkmore should have been a single double album from the start.
When you read this treat the two Folkmore reviews as one in two parts.
Songs: Willow, Marjorie, Carolina.
Top 5:
5th: Midnights - 3(+1)
Now this is a type of depression i can relate to! culture counters culture and Midnight's more upbeat songs were perfectly made to counter Folkmore's cottagecore calmness. Beyonce released Act i Renaissance around the same time a bit after the COVID-19 pandemic because "the world needed to dance" and Taylor saw that regarding Midnights as well.
As much as i like the retro vibe of the album, I haven't really been able to define it (undefined vibe can be better than defined), especially with the Midnights era being the eras tour era.
Songs: Lavender Haze, Anti-Hero, Bejeweled, Karma (remix feat. Ice Spice).
4th: Red - 6(+1)
The most Taylor Swift album. Period. The perfect combination of the three archetypes of Taylor transitioning from the 00s country to the 10s pop while having both happy upbeat songs and sad poetic songs.
2011-2013 is a critically iconic time period and it wouldn't be the same without Red. I consider We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together as one of the holy trinity of iconic 21th century pop songs.
Between the rise of the breakup songwriter reputation(a justified reputation considering she has a 10 minute breakup song), screaming goats, and her influence reaching global levels, Red is the most important album of the Tay-lore.
Songs: State Of Grace, Red, 22, I Knew You Were Trouble, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Everything Has Changed, Message In A Bottle.
Top 3:
3rd: Reputation - 8(+1)
The more famous you are, the more haters and scandals you'll have, and once you reach that global stardom there's no way to avoid that. And after what happened between Taylor and Kim and Kanye, the only way to stop it was to vanish.
The pre-reputation blackout was a "you had to be there" moment when she cleared all of her social media, the snake teasers, Game Of Thrones' season 7 finale, all leading up to the 2017 VMAs.
The Look What You Made Me Do MV and the other reputation MVs was the first time she personified and dress-coded her past hits and doing it by killing them all.
Another important part of Reputation lore is the counter to the big strong bass in Delicate, her showing her vulnerability to the public hate of the past few years, while showing mostly the heavy mental toll being famous does.
If it seems like it might be my favorite album of her then how it is only 3rd place? Well we just have to wait for the rep tv vault tracks (clowning here but i never stopped loving the idea of Ready For It remix feat. BLACKPINK).
Songs: Ready For It, Look What You Made Me Do, Gorgeous, End Game, I Did Something Bad, Delicate, So It Goes..., This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things, I Don't Wanna Live Forever.
2nd: lover - 8(+2)
Culture counters culture and Lover was conceived to counter and balance Reputation. Replacing the grim rainy cold metal cities with a pastel sky full of candy clouds. All the frustration was unleased with the last big machine album leaving an empty slate for her loved ones and onwards to deal with real life political problems.
And an empty slate is exactly how the album starts with I Forgot That You Existed which feels like the after therapy of This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things.
Lover is very simple, positive feelings like love, happiness and friendship as well as not to overthink your anger.
Songs: I Forgot That You Existed, Cruel Summer, Lover, I Think He Knows, Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince, Paper Rings, You Need To Come Down, ME!, To All The Girls You Loved Before, Lover (remix feat. Shawn Mendes).
1st place:
1989 - 7(+4)
This is it, global stardom has been reached and now she's a superstar, and as one she a bit outgrew the previous genre and city she had and was ready for a rebirth.
Taylor Swift was born in 1989 and was reborn with 1989.
Embracing pop and shedding her fake southern accent has only brought main pop girl hits while also criticizing the industry she just joined and worldwide people's reactions who were just exposed to her (Shake It Off criticized her genre transition, Blank Space criticized her breakup songwriter reputation, Bad Blood criticized the industry's "feuds").
However, even though i was there during the 1989 era, afterwards i kinda forgot the definition of the era and couldn't really remember. It just felt like the transition between Red and Reputation until i remembered it's true meaning when 1989 tv came out. It's just a main pop girl music, this was her Please Please Please (the song after the song that placed her at the top).
Of all the rerecordings across all albums Wildest Dreams had the biggest upgrade and Bad Blood remix had the biggest downgrade.
Songs: Welcome To New York, Shake It Off, Blank Space, Style, Bad Blood, Wildest Dreams, New Romantics, Bad Blood (remix feat. Kendrick Lamar), Slut!, Now That We Don't Talk, Is It Over Now?.
