i passed everything and now i am officially done with my undergrad journey!!!! soon, i shall receive my diploma in the mail for my bachelor's of science in anthropology!!!

I have been accepted to graduate school! I am seriously overjoyed. Still waiting on the rest of my application decisions (7 left!) but no matter what else happens I will be a sociology phd student in the fall :)

This certainly gave me the motivation needed to finish this semester with enthusiasm! lol

It's almost christmas already help

So hey, I got accepted into 2 of my hardest post grad options (bioinfo and comp sci) and when I tell you I wasn't expecting the comp sci one AT ALL. I mean I had no fucking chance, I swear

I had to get a 9/10 grade in curriculum AND undergrad history bc I did not take an exam that was worth a few extra points and MAN. HOW-

Nonetheless, I'm now dead on the ground crying but out of happiness so all is good.

fuckin every other english major i know was all shitting on chaucer and having to fulfill the chaucer requirement when i told them i was taking this class

lo and behold, once again, i love the class literally everyone else hates and also my professor is dope

i know i don't talk about my degree a lot on here but i'm pursuing a dual degree in both history and biology because i have a lot of passion for both arts and sciences and i just found out that there's a women in STEAM conference happening that literally perfectly encapsulates all of what i am academically passionate about.

i'm applying for a volunteer position guys wish me luck i really want to be there 🥺 for so long i felt like being interested in both science and arts meant there wasn't really a place for me to be able to authentically speak on all of my academic interests and this is just such an amazing opportunity<3 so yeah wish me luck!!!:)

I JUST TURNED IN MY MOLEC GENETICS PAPER

its 13 pages with 2 original figures that I had to create on powerpoint and its my third paper on a wetland plant (and second on Spartina) this year that over the 10 page mark!!!!!!!!! Ive been cooking for 3 weeks on it because it is one of the densest pieces I've ever written

brighter side: summer term is in full swing and the subjects this semester are even more challenging than the last. trying to revise after every lecture so the work won't pile up. how are you doing?

One of the things I miss about university is getting out of class, going home, and wondering if my professors thought I was really smart or a fucking idiot. It could have gone either way.

Winter break is coming to an end but it was really, really nice. Lots of time resting and doing personal reading... which I've re-realized is completely different than school reading!

I've really reconnected with the parts of life I've been missing and I hope to retain that once the semester begins.

Last semester of my undergrad... wish me luck!

Here, you can see the fungus I've been growing. If you look close enough, you can see some pink growth aswell, this is most likely bacteria that ended up in my dish, which is super cool because I wasn't expecting to also be growing bacteria!
