I have been accepted to graduate school! I am seriously overjoyed. Still waiting on the rest of my application decisions (7 left!) but no matter what else happens I will be a sociology phd student in the fall :)

This certainly gave me the motivation needed to finish this semester with enthusiasm! lol

It's almost christmas already help

So hey, I got accepted into 2 of my hardest post grad options (bioinfo and comp sci) and when I tell you I wasn't expecting the comp sci one AT ALL. I mean I had no fucking chance, I swear

I had to get a 9/10 grade in curriculum AND undergrad history bc I did not take an exam that was worth a few extra points and MAN. HOW-

Nonetheless, I'm now dead on the ground crying but out of happiness so all is good.

its 13 pages with 2 original figures that I had to create on powerpoint and its my third paper on a wetland plant (and second on Spartina) this year that over the 10 page mark!!!!!!!!! Ive been cooking for 3 weeks on it because it is one of the densest pieces I've ever written

hello people , i need your opinion. i've recently managed to acquire a full-ride scholarship to russia for bachelors in a stem degree. but i'm hearing mixed opinions about the living in russia. so i need actual opinions and facts from ,well, everyone that i can get.( yes im conducting my own research about this other than this post too) 1. is studying stem in russia actually a good idea? i've enrolled in Physics(theoretical) as my bachelors. after getting a bachelors from any uni in russia, can i get the chance to do my masters in any good uni in any other state/country? or will it affect my chances in the long run? 2. is the political and weather really that bad in russia? im from south asia and its humid and warm all the time round the year, so will it be really hard for me to cope with it. will i have to shut my mouth and have no right to express any of my opinions in russia? it'll be really great if anyone from russia or anyone currently studying in russia on this scholarship could comment or inbox me. Winter break is coming to an end but it was really, really nice. Lots of time resting and doing personal reading... which I've re-realized is completely different than school reading!

I've really reconnected with the parts of life I've been missing and I hope to retain that once the semester begins.

Last semester of my undergrad... wish me luck!

Starting this page as a way to keep myself accountable for my studying. I got home very late from practice last night and wasn’t able to make it to my 8:30 a.m. class this morning, and considering how cold it is in montreal today, I decided to stay home. That means I *must* make sure to be super productive to make up for the fact that I missed my classes.

I’ve already done about half of the analysis this morning and I repotted my peace lily as it was getting super big for its pot. I’d also like to squeeze in a workout (legs & arms) and read a bit (currently reading A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik and my loan expires soon).

We’ll see how today goes 🧠🥝🌨️

Here, you can see the fungus I've been growing. If you look close enough, you can see some pink growth aswell, this is most likely bacteria that ended up in my dish, which is super cool because I wasn't expecting to also be growing bacteria!
