He’d never traversed through a place like this. The dense forests and open plains offered a sense of sanctuary compared to the cities. Here there's all the dangers humanity has to offer– themselves, and the lingering infected in the sewers.

That was before he met Bailey. Now he'd follow her through the strangest and most dangerous of places in order to keep her safe. Besides, who'd complain about a fluffy companion and an extra pair of sharp ears?

The pencils in his upper lip are swiftly discarded. Its taste is not to be desired, and without the balancing act he's able to give her costume a rolling chirrup. Though when she notices something, he jerks to his paws. Why is she running? He can't smell anyth–

Oh… whatever it is looks like it might fit him. Airin steadily back ups on the counter. His ears waver to a slight pin, but his uncertainty is swept clean when she puts it on Teddy instead. Ah, he gives a deep exhale. Hopefully he'll be free of any clothing tonight.

" You and Teddy are matching! Both of ya' came from the sea– "

This place was amazing, all the weird shit, the funny costumes, there was absolutely no way they were just going to pass by and not fool around. Most of the stuff was just lying around, lots of it still up on shelves; nothing here would likely ever be needed for survival, which explains why it wasn’t as picked clean as other places.

She managed to find the goofiest looking costume, she took her pack off and set it aside to put it on. An octopus costume, a size too big, but it looked good enough.

Both hands fiddled with the long red fabric arms of the costume, waving them about as she watched Airin shuffle around in search of something. When he turned around, she snorted, ❝ Perfect! Couldn’t tell you apart from a real one, ❞ She laughs, her eyes flicked about the store again until landing on something that caught her interest.

She ran toward the display, sifting through the various dog costumes until she found the smallest size. ❝ Look at these! I think this should fit… ❞ She cut herself off, not bothering to finish the sentence. She went back to where she left her bag and took out her stuffed bear to dress him up in the tiny pet costume, and then she showed it to Airin. ❝ Teddy’s a crab. ❞ Though it was actually a lobster, it was close enough.
