Hmmm, I catched up on a lot of shows. I've already posted my reviews on TUA S4 (🤢🥴💔💀🥲) and KAOS (🥹💖😚🥰❤️‍🔥) (i am indeed re-watching it), but I also finished Emily In Paris (LOVE the Italian guy, second part was much better than the 1st), and FINALLY watched S2 of Fleabag (oh my GOD YOU GUYS!!! I AM IN SHAMBLES!!! WOAH!!! PAIN AND AGONY!!! 🥺💔).

Uhhhhhhhhhh I think that's it. I need to cut my hair and bangs. Hope everyone has been eating good and drinking water and missing me a lot 😤🫵

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? i don't really do angsty endings, but probs down to the marrow. it was meant to be read as an "oh, no..." sorta fic. on the flipside since it's in Soap's pov.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? ahhhhhhh. when your need grows teeth? i think those two freaks got exactly what they wanted lmao

8. Do you get hate on fics? sometimes. rarely on AO3. mostly just asks on tumblr. and almost always about my prose as if i wasn't writing exclusively from Giovanni's room lmao or my use of rare/big words. getting Purple Prose Queen was a highlight, though.

What are your writing strengths? flow. i used to go to a lot of poetry readings/open mic nights and think i developed a pretty solid feel for how to make things flow nicely. pacing and direction (i take a lot of inspo from my favourite directors and try to add elements of their films/style into my writing). ignoring grammar/punctuation. experimenting. trickery/masking. sneaking animism and anthropomorphism into my writing.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? god. a lot. punctuation. grammar. overuse of metaphors. big words. misusing words. dialogue. action. brevity. consistency. tone. characterisation. my stuff tends to meander, i find.

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language? no real opinion, tbh.

i got tagged by @saltymaplesyrup (why will tumblr not let me tag wtf) for wip wednesday. i dont have any new writing bc uhhhhhhhhh reasons (yknow my. dog) but i do have some art ive been working on

veeeeeeeery rough atm. like a lot of my art at first HGHGBRHGEBGH

this is actually nerevar! i have a hc he's part nord, with a chimer mom and nord dad. in my fic it's established nerevar's dad went back to skyrim to settle an inheritance dispute and uh. died. and after his mom found out nerevar was already like, 10. so she just up and left him in the care of his maternal uncle.

but i was thinking what if his dad hadn't died and he was raised in skyrim? he would be in the rift, bordering on the velothi mountains, only hearing about skyrim and seeing the stray cliff racer. after his dad dies for real this time his mother takes him to resdayn/morrowind

idk i just kinda like the idea of fur wearing, axe wielding, braids in his hair nerevar. in a lot of ways he'd be different and in others he'd be the same. definitely still hot tho (imagine voryn getting a look at him and immediately dropping everything in his hands to stare LMAO)

this also works for moon and star for uhhhhh reasons. i can explain how this would end up happening if you ask ha ha i dont want this post to be even longer explaining a lil sketch

Uhhhhhhhhhh hi! hello! I'm Nyx! Welcome, and thanks for stopping by (the odd crab seems to be happy)

So uh, I recently got motivated to start posting more about my fanfictions/weird art here.

I'll be starting a more dedicated side blog soon, (one that's pretty much all robots since that what I'm obsessed with rn) and it will definitely be nsft, since I'm trying to keep everything sfw on main. So look out for that if you are only here because I've started writing about spike.

(I will talk about transformers here too, I've got a bunch of fic ideas in the works, I'm just bad about finishing them. Other than that it's mostly obscure lore and speculative biology; and also uh, about having read through like 3/4ths of the AO3 collection. It's just got a lot to compete with on main)

I'm still planning to use my main for weird insomniac rambling, and cryptid hunting, and transformers fandom- also just the rare reference to actually being a human and not like. a weird squid. (One can dream 😮‍💨)

This blog is, for the most part, SFW. But there are some exceptions. My fossilized friend may not curse, but I do. I also talk about doing adult things like drinking and eating weed. I am not excessive about it, but I'm not trying to hide it either. So if that is something you want to avoid this this is not the blog for you.

(Mostly I use sfw/nsft when talking about excessive-gore type horror, or explicit sexual material which will both get dedicated blogs with specialized 18+ only warnings. I will not be putting content of either type on my main.)

Main is definitely the best place to learn about how far along any of my projects are coming though. And I will put them here if they are sfw.

So uh, besides that, this is also the place where I primarily simp for Eldritch horrors beyond moral comprehension; pretend to be a cambrian era plectronoceras, because it makes me happy; talk about being pagan; reblog whatever cool things I find scrolling Tumblr with zero rhyme or reason; talk about my hyperfixations; be unapologetically gay; build real life robots; and garbagepost (idk the right word) at three in the morning when I can't sleep.
