this whole thing being abt rage is also really interesting. I feel like it comes up so much in fiction as a motive because it's the one emotion that's unifyingly restless while everything else can be petrifying, and just personally nothing hits like impotent rage for me, esp. with teen characters, esp. with characters whose rage is stoked by Someone Else to further that Someone Else's cause. like you'll have done all that in a bout of passion and when you're done you look around you and nothing has changed. those sentiments don't get quelled by being satisfied. righteousness withdrawal is a horrible thing to intentionally drag someone into, least of all just some kids.

unpopular opinion: i don't think (game) colress is Evil persay. well more accurately he's not antagonistic. i forget if i went on this whole rant already on this blog But i just imagine he emotionally distances himself from everything so much in an absolute desire to find the most extreme ends of his research that he stops caring about morality or who may be adversely affected by it. man's just consumed by his research BUT he doesn't actively wish harm upon anyone and does not go out of his way to hurt people or pokemon. he's perfectly cordial and polite to everyone he meets and is fine with giving away his inventions or other things to people or helping others out. He just doesn't care about 'laws' or 'morals.' pokespe and anime colresses though are a whole other story

as for ghetsis idk how common a headcanon this is BUT i like to imagine a lot of why ghetsis is. well Ghetsis is bc he has a deep-seated fear of being perceived as weak. and while he may not even be aware of it almost everything he does to try to get power over people is to ensure nobody ever sees him that way. this is why he was just about to have such an absolute meltdown towards N at the end of bw2. Bc N was trying to be understanding of ghetsis in his moment of absolute defeat, he saw that as a threat and lashed out in an attempt to regain any of the power he had just lost in that instance. i forget if i went on this rant as well LOL

oh, absolutely! we're 100% open for anyone drawing anything of the asphodel cast. i'll be honest here, i don't really consider them ocs since we're intending for them to be for something publicly playable, so really, nobody needs permission to draw them as long as the characters aren't being claimed as your own.

i would say keep in mind that all the designs are quite tentative due to this being in such early stages but i don't think that should really deter anyone from havin fun 👍!!!!

Yesterday in the summer camp i was at we did this thing where we had to talk to every person individually and there was this time when you had to talk to them and time when they had to talk to you and basically you had to say what you liked about them. And it was hard but the part where ppl said nice things to you was so nice bc some ppl said things that youre proud about and youre like omgg you noticed!!!
