Awhile back, I commissioned @umbranemone to draw the Saiyan god OCs I have (utilized in my fics overall, but especially in DBR and Moonlight)… and I am finally unveiling them!
Please feel free to use these OCs in your DB stories! All I ask for is credit!
Soli, Warrior Saiyan Goddess of the Sun
Purveyor of Saiyan “Light” Magic, Saiyan Bonds, Life, Love and Memories
Oldest of the pantheon in both U6 and U7 Universes
Twin sister to Tor (goddess of the moon and death)
The goddess who bestowed upon Saiyans the ability to become Super Saiyan
Patron Saiyan: Goku/Kakarot (and is fiercely protective of him)
As the goddess of Saiyan bonds, she has the power to create Saiyan r’bhon’oa (bonds) as well as break them. Fate can predetermine a mate, but she believes love is a choice and therefore will break bonds when called upon.
She’s very happy and bubbly, a literal living ray of sunshine and SUPER POWERFUL. Of her siblings, she is the one born with latent strength. There is no end to how powerful she can be. It is why a ring rests around her tail tip -- to remind herself to stay in control and not allow her emotions to get the best of her.
This is because Soli is an extremely empathetic and emotional goddess. Her powers are tied with her emotions. It is why her siblings are there to keep her in check, as well as to perform functions so it is not all on her as the most powerful goddess. Soli cares about all of her Saiyans and her siblings very much to the point where she can be blinded by her defensiveness. If anyone harms her family or her Saiyans, she can and will hold grudges for a long time. She has a MEAN streak. It takes a lot to win back her favor.
However, it takes a LOT to get on Soli's bad side. Like, a lot. This is because she has an insane amount of patience, to the point of almost harming herself as she will try to not lose her cool no matter what is thrown her way. She believes in giving mercy to all rather than mercilessness, to forgive rather than to punish.
Because of this penchant to forgive, Soli is not the most worship in U7 Planet Vegeta. She’s honored as she is Tor’s twin and older sister, as she is the reason why Saiyans in both U6 and U7 are able to turn Super Saiyan. In contrast, Soli is the MOST worshiped on Sadala in U6. Soli giving Saiyans the ability to turn Super Saiyan is the majority reason why she’s not buried or forgotten by U7 Saiyans. No one can crap on Soli, cuz that means you crap on Tor, her twin sister, and Tor is THE most worshiped goddess with U7 Saiyans.
Funny enough, it's her sister Tor that reminds Soli to give others second chances. If her twin didn't keep her in check, or the rest of the pantheon, there is a chance Soli could allow her emotions to win out and she would lose control.
Soli worshipers like Goku/Kakarot’s family (Bardock got roped into it thanks to Gine) are a big minority on Planet Vegeta. In U7, Soli worshipers usually live in the Southern Hemisphere of the planet, where in U6, they’re everywhere.
Worshipers of Soli perform bonding rituals (t'sha'to phe'hi and t'sha'to se'si'ki), something frowned upon in U7 as a liability due to the telekinetic bond and soul binding that occurs during these rituals (with the phe'hi being the most powerful and the most detrimental, as it is the one that performs soul binding). In U6, bonding is considered normal, even sacred. In both universes, finding a mah’kha (mate) is considered near impossible, both believing it’ll take many lifetimes to find them. Mating is relatively common in U6, but they’re considered mah’koti (chosen intended) and not mah’kha (destined mate). This is similar to U7. Because U6 is more in tune with Saiyan magic, there are more mah’kha’or in U6 than U7.

Just putting the hypothetical out there, but I think, out of the U6 Saiyan pack, the one that'd be the best fit to go Majin would be Cabba
We know that Caulifla is the one with the hot head who'd have the power cravings, but Cabba having this opportunity presents more of shock, having the most rational and well-composed suddenly snap like a twig from the emotional burden he carries on his back. Plus, after all, Cabba is intended as Vegeta's Universe 6 parallel in a sense, just as Caulifla is to Goku and Kale is to Broly/Gohan.
The manipulation that forces him to succumb? Being convinced that this power will be key to achieving justice. Of course there's the consequence of absolute power corrupting absolutely.
In this hypothetical, when Frost comes to trial for the truth he reveals during the Tournament, the truth is somehow retwisted in his favor, Cabba is prevented from stepping forth as the key witness to his confession, and the lizard manages to get away scot-free. Cabba feels absolutely betrayed, infuriated that his voice has no power against the lizard who manipulated him for so long. He wants to be heard, be taken seriously.... so he is given a chance to put justice into his own hands, to take down Frost himself. The corruption of power ultimately twists Cabba into a sort of Light Yagami type.
But you may ask, where would the Majin powerup come from? Who's the equivalent Babidi to pull strings in this universe? Well, he's been lying in plain sight as the supposed weak link of the Tournament of Power...
...Dr. Rota.
Cabba ends up crossing paths with the witch doctor, a peddler of spell cards and talismans. When the Saiyan vents out his tale, it intrigues the boar, telling him to follow him to the back. Rota believes he has quite the special spell for such a case as Cabba's.
#dragon ball#dragon ball super#universe 6#Cabba#Majin Vegeta#Frost#dbs frost#Dr Rota#mini au#Of course I think if the rest were to lose their minds Caulifla would be the one to get the Tuffle parasite#If there would even be an in-universe reasoning for it; U6 still has Sadala in good standing and they're not conquerors so what reason woul#they have to go messing with Puranto? I'm probably just thinking about the SDBH jumble#Also good mood music for this is Varian's parts in Ready As I'll Ever Be from Tangled the Series#Bonus that Varian's voice just fits so well for Cabba for some reason#Maybe if Caulifla takes up the Tuffle parasite for power later we can get a Nothing Left to Lose dynamic going

Dragon Ball Super 037
Vegeta vs. (yawn) Cabba.
So this is the one where Vegeta teaches Cabba to turn Super Saiyan. There are some good points to this episode, but for my money, it fails to overcome its most critical flaw. This is supposed to be a tournament match, but it ends up becoming a training session. Vegeta even points this out himself when Cabba asks for the lesson. He goes ahead and teaches him anyway, though, which I can understand, because he already knows he can’t get a decent fight out of Cabba, so he may as well use the time constructively.
But as the viewer, I feel ripped off. The thing is, this scenario could totally work if it were part of a card full of banger matches. But let’s look at what we’ve seen so far.
Match 1: Goku vs. Botamo. Goku wins when he drags Botamo to the edge and judo-throws him out of the ring.
Match 2: Goku vs. Frost. A complete mismatch. Frost cheats to win, the decision is later reversed.
Match 3: Piccolo vs. Frost. A complete mismatch. Frost cheats to win, the decision is later reversed.
Match 4: Piccolo vs. Frost. A rematch after Vegeta requests Frost be reinstated. Vegeta demands that Piccolo forfeit so he can fight Frost himself. Piccolo agrees.
Match 5: Vegeta vs. Frost. A complete mismatch. Vegeta knocks Frost out of the ring with one blow.
Match 6: Vegeta vs. Auta Magetta. A shitshow. Vegeta float around for ten minutes dodging lava until he finally remembers he can just solve all his problems with ki blasts. Also, insults wear down Magetta’s resolve so this was actually another mismatch.
Match 7: Vegeta vs. Cabba. Another complete mismatch.
Tell me, dear reader, which of these is your favorite? Probably Vegeta vs. Magetta, just because it wasn’t a one-sided rout. And yeah, it’s the best fight of this saga so far, but it still isn’t very good. It’s what Jim Ross would call “bowling shoe ugly.” But at least Magetta made his opponent work for it, which is more than I can say for his teammates or Piccolo.
Now, there’s still three more matches to go after this, and we do see an uptick in quality, but there’s also another mismatch in the bunch. To put it simply: the Destroyer Invitational Tournament is a one-match show. That sucks ass, because it’s a tournament! There are supposed to be lots of good matches! Maybe all of them should be good! I mean, why is that not something to aspire to?
All right, so let’s talk about the good aspects of this episode. The main thing Cabba brings to the table is Saiyan lore, and I’m always down for that. This arc did help me iron out some details about the Saiyan history I wrote into Luffa. For example, even though the U6 Saiyans are very different from the U7 Saiyans, and they seem to have very divergent histories, Cabba still uses the same fighting stance Vegeta used when he first fought Goku on Earth. And Cabba uses the Gallick Gun, which indicates that these aren’t just things Vegeta invented himself, or even something he picked up from his royal family. No, if Cabba has the same knowledge, then that means Vegeta’s style is based on something far, far more ancient. And this scene led me to conclude that Luffa should know the Gallick Gun and Vegeta’s DBZ Episode 30 stance as well. If they date back to ancient Sadala, then that knowledge would be commonplace among Saiyans, even a thousand years ago.
Recently, I was thinking about the history of the Universe 6 Saiyans, and it occurred to me that it kind of makes sense that Cabba has never heard of the Super Saiyan form. According to the Battle of Gods movie, the Super Saiyan God ritual was used to empower one righteous Saiyan so he could wipe out the wicked Saiyans of his era. He failed when the form wore off. Later, Akira Toriyama declared that this ancient Saiyan hero was named Yamoshi, and he was the first Super Saiyan, as well as the pioneer of the Super Saiyan God form. The Super Saiyans who followed Yamoshi would arise every thousand years, and supposedly their transformation was awakened by his vengeful spirit. I think that’s how it was supposed to go.
So what does that have to do with Cabba? Well, in his universe, the Saiyans are all good guys. They don’t have tails anymore, and they don’t terrorize planets. Instead, they hire themselves out to defend weaker planets from powerful aggressors (something else I cribbed for Luffa.) Cabba even said that the Saiyans in Universe 6 still live on their original homeworld, Sadala.
In that case, the conflict Yamoshi fought in Universe 7 must have turned out very differently in Universe 6. Maybe Yamoshi’s counterpart won in that world. He wiped out all the wicked Saiyans, and retired, never using the Super Saiyan God ritual again. Or mabye Yamoshi’s counterpart never had to fight at all. The Saiyans of his era were cool guys, so he never needed to become a Super Saiyan God in the first place. Either way, there was no “vengeful spirit” to trigger the rise of Super Saiyans in Universe 6. And without that, there was no Super Saiyan Legend. Which means Cabba would never know about the Super Saiyan form until he saw Goku and Vegeta in this tournament.
This kind of ties into something else this episode helped me work out for Luffa. A big question about the Super Saiyan Legend is why none of the ancient Super Saiyans taught anyone else how to do it. Goku taught Gohan, after all, and Trunks and Goten were so gifted that they learned it on their own. So why was there only one Super Saiyan every thousand years? Sure, some of them might not be inclined to share their secret, but some of them must have craved a worthy opponent.
This episode gives us an idea of the answer to that. Cabba begs Vegeta to teach him the transformation, and Vegeta is disgusted that he would even ask such a thing from an opponent, during a fight. So he turns Super Saiyan and whoops Cabba’s ass for a while. Cabba tries to surrender, but Vegeta refuses to let him. He threatens to kill Cabba, rules or no rules. Also, he threatens to destroy Planet Sadala, and kill Cabba’s entire family.
And that does the trick. Cabba goes wild and seems to turn the tables on Vegeta for a bit...
But it soon becomes clear that Vegeta was just letting Cabba run loose for a while to get him acclimated to the form. Then he tells Cabba to transform again, and he seems to have the form under control.
The point of all of this is that it’s not exactly an easy thing to teach. Vegeta had to resort to physical attacks and threats against Cabba’s loved ones to push him over the edge. A Super Saiyan altruistic enough to share their knowledge with others might not be so eager to engage in that kind of cruelty. In DBZ, Goku got Gohan to Super Saiyan, but he had to shoot at him with a Kamehameha to do it, and Goku was kind of reluctant to push it that far.
Also, imagine using this teaching approach on a Saiyan like Turles, who doesn’t care about anyone but himself. What loved ones can you threaten? Which world can you destroy? It wouldn’t awaken anything in him because he doesn’t care. The irony is that the U6 Saiyans are a lot easier to train in this sort of thing, but they have no concept of the Super Saiyan to aim for. Meanwhile, the U7 Saiyans had the legend but generally lacked the compassion to understand how to get to it. And that’s why there was only one every thousand years.
Of course, later on, Cabba will teach Caulifla how to turn into a Super Saiyan, and that’s where the whole “tingly back” thing got started. But that’s the exception that proves the rule. Cabba was willing to teach the form and Caulifla was eager to learn, but he still had a hard time explaining it to her, and he lacked Vegeta’s talent for inspiring righteous fury. Caulifla understood how to get to the bottom of the matter, but she’s a rare talent. Most Saiyans wouldn’t ask such perceptive questions.
Anyway, back to the fight. Vegeta turns Super Saiyan Blue to show Cabba where the road leads next. Then he one-shots him and wins the match.
Cabba thanks Vegeta for his instruction, and tells him that he’s a lot like the Saiyan King on Planet Sadala.
Goku is surprised that Vegeta would do all this for an opponent, and Piccolo suggests it’s because Vegeta wanted to spend some quality time with another Saiyan. Goku points out that he’s a Saiyan, and Piccolo’s like, yeah, but he hates you, Goku.
I mean, yeah, Goku’s Different, no doubt about that. Vegeta can bond with Cabba in a way that he can’t with Goku. But I think Piccolo’s got it wrong. Vegeta has a similar desire to support Goku, I think. I mean, they hang out a lot. Goku doesn’t need much mentoring, and his Earthling traits probably irritate Vegeta, but who else has he got? He’s the Prince of All Saiyans, and that includes the big orange goofballs like Goku.
So the next match is Vegeta vs. Hit, and as they prepare to face off, Vados informs Champa that she had to promise him the Hexahedron to get him to join the team. Champa is upset to hear about this, because the Hexahedron is a vehicle of gods, capable of travel between universes. But he had told Vados to get Hit on the team by any means necessary, so here we are.

📖 One for each of the three, please!
📖
|| le gasp! sure thing!
champa - not to get sappy but anything with a vados. banter, serious, silly, anything. they're my otp and i would never insist on shipping, but it would be nice to have a vados to interact with someday that actually stays around. i do get she's a challenge to write, though!
vados - her being demoted or losing her angelic abilites. or her training hit! i've always considered hit to be champa's #1 candidate.
pomme - meeting her uncle beerus. in her verse, champa is very big on not talking to or bringing up beerus (think encanto's we don't talk about bruno but WORSE because people get dusted). her sneaking out and making her way to find him. but she can't bring herself to tell him who she is out of fear of all the stories her "father" has put in her head. plus, uncle whis? the best uncle. she would also be starstruck by hit and how cool he is!
bonus:
heles - heles visiting u7 anyone? or u6?? she's curious what all the fuss is about! hit and goku are very gorgeous men... what other specimens would there be to see?

Parents, I know you all have good intentions. We get it, your son or daughter is the next superstar athlete. But overstepping in your child's sports activities is harmful to not only their development in the game but also may severely impact the love that they have for the sport itself. To many times I have found myself having to coach the parents on the sidelines rather than coaching my players on the field.
“Every parent signs kids up for sports or activities with good intentions. [But] sometimes, there can be a line that’s crossed, where suddenly the parent becomes more involved or invested in the outcome, versus the goal of why they signed up their kids in the sport in the first place” (New York Post).
For 10 years I have coached soccer at the:
-Junior College Level
-High School Level
-Youth Level (U6-U13)
You may be surprised to learn that even the parents of my college athletes can have a negative impact on their child's growth and development. Although these parents want the best for their kids and have good intentions, without realizing it they are hindering the possibility for growth. Here are the 5 most common problems that I have seen parents be guilty of :
1: Putting too much emphasis on winning
Parents often get caught up in the desire for their child's team to win at all costs. This puts immense pressure on young athletes and takes away from the joy of playing the game. Focus on the long term development process rather than immediate results.
2: Over involvement during games
Parents sometimes become overly involved during games, shouting instructions or criticism from the sidelines. This can distract both the child and the coach, hindering the player's ability to focus and enjoy the experience.
3: Unrealistic expectations
Setting unrealistic expectations for your child's performance can lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety. Remember that each child progresses at their own pace and that the main goal should be personal growth and enjoyment.
4: Lack of communication with the coach
Some parents fail to establish open lines of communication with the coach. This can lead to misunderstandings and missed opportunities for constructive feedback and guidance.
5: Neglecting the importance of balance
Overcommitting children to multiple sports or excessive training sessions can result in burnout and physical or emotional exhaustion. It's crucial to allow time for rest, recovery, and pursuing other interests.
If you are a parent of an athlete and have found yourself guilty of any of these things, do not worry. We all want the best for our kids and if you can change your perspective and attitude you can make a positive impact on your child's development. Here are 5 things you can do to help keep your child invested and enjoying the sport:
Tip 1: Encourage effort and personal growth
Emphasize the value of hard work, dedication, and personal improvement rather than solely focusing on winning or losing. Celebrate your child's progress and achievements, regardless of the outcome.
Tip 2: Be a positive sideline presence
Cheer for your child and their teammates while maintaining a positive and encouraging attitude. Leave the coaching to the coach and refrain from excessive instructions or criticism.
Tip 3: Set realistic expectations
Understand that each child develops at their own pace and has unique strengths and weaknesses. Encourage them to enjoy the process, learn from their experiences, and set goals that are realistic and attainable.
Tip 4: Foster open communication with the coach
Establish a healthy line of communication with the coach. This allows you to understand their coaching philosophy, receive updates on your child's progress, and address any concerns or questions you may have.
Tip 5: Promote balance and well-being
Encourage your child to participate in a variety of activities and prioritize their overall well-being. Help them find a healthy balance between sports, academics, rest, and other hobbies, fostering their long-term enjoyment and development.
Remember, this is all about the KIDS. We had our chance when we were younger to play and enjoy the game, and now we have a great responsibility to pass on the love and joy that we once had on to our children and let them thrive! Good luck, and enjoy the journey.

I feel that rewrites get a bit of a bad rap, at least in the idea that deviating from canon inherently taints it. A lot of my favorite stories and franchises thrive on constant reinvention and rewriting of the source material to fit the interests of the creative staff, even when they run contrary to what came before. Is Rise of the TMNT a bad show because of its shake ups to the traditional team dynamics? Is FMA 2003 a bad show because it decided to switch gears midway and tackle different themes than the manga? Are any of the Sonic cartoons bad because they don’t follow the games canon? I don’t see too many people mad that Starship Troopers The Movie was the total thematic opposite of its original book, so I don’t think rewriting an existing media is the issue here, exactly.
In my opinion, the problem with bad rewrites is the same problem that bad fanfiction runs into, in that both are largely reactionary pieces to an existinting source material. These aren’t your characters, this isn’t your story, your playing with toys and what you do with them says a lot about your priorities as a writer, whether keeping to canon or throwing it out when its convenient. Fanfics and rewrites hit a ceiling when its a writer trying to “fix the flaws” of the source material to their liking, because its all too easy to make it not about bulding a strong narrative, but airing out your grievances without poetry. Does focusing on this one character actually help the story? Maybe there’s a reason why this element was cut? What does it say, for example, that you feel the need to have these characters reconcile when the original story had them broken up for a reason? At best, you get a dry retelling with extra fluff but no personality, and at worst you make a 7/10 series look like a 10/10 with your fixing attempts.
To use an official example, I think a lot about the Dragon Ball Super manga that ran in tandem with the anime. Both followed a set of guidelines from Toriyama about how events would play out. Toyotaro would often introduce his own ideas into the story. That in it of itself was never the problem.
His ideas, however, were either ignored later or were needlessly convoluted.
Toyotaro introduced a stamina weakness to Super Saiyan Blue, that when you use it multiple times in a row it decreases its power by 10%. This was used to explain Vegeta losing to Hit during their U6 Tournament fight. The weakness does not sound like a bad idea in it of itself, until later events in the series ended up having Goku and Vegeta use Super Saiyan Blue repeatedly. The weakness never came up again.
Okay, but that was a minor plot hole in the grand scheme. A much bigger problem is when Toyotaro decided to forgo the anime’s ending, where Zamasu became an evil spirit that destroyed the universe (somehow), we have an ending where Merged Zamasu is repeatedly split and multiplied across ever slice by the heroes. That sounds much more logical then? Not quite, because Toyotaro still keeps the ending where Future Zeno erases the universe due to Merged Zamasu’s influence. In the anime, Future Zeno was getting rid of a cancer afflicting the entire universe. In the manga, Future Zeno comes across as more of an asshole, because all he had to do was erase the Zamasu clones instead of wiping out the entire timeline. Sometimes, what sounds like a logical fix may in fact make your story worse, especially without thought put into making it work in context.
A good rewrite can come from spiteful places, but they can’t grow from there. Even as you’re tearing down something, you have to offer something in return, or else the rewrite becomes boring. If you’re going to rewrite canon, tell a story, even if it goes against the original! Ask yourself, what is this rewrite trying to do, how can I make what I want happen in a way that’s narratively satisfying? If the original isn’t finished, then all the more reason to deviate and plan out your own ending.
Tl;dr, if you’re going to rewrite canon, make sure you write something good out of it.
#Rewrites#Fanfic#Fanfics#Thought Process#Essay#It's partly about RWBY Rewrites yes#But I wanted to talk about the nature of fanfic#rewriting canon#more general things#I hope I made sense

Linapol, Warrior Saiyan God/dess of the Spirit
Purveyor of Saiyan Spirit, forces of nature (wind, water, sky, earth, fire), primordial chaos, animals and plants
Youngest sibling of the entire pantheon
Goes by they/them/she/her, all pronouns
Name is a play on the word "pollination"
Changes form and shape constantly as well as gender and sex (the picture depicts their two most used forms)
The god who bestowed upon Saiyans their wild, mercurial, chaotic nature (aka their free spirit)
Patron Saiyans: Raditz and Goten
Soli is the sun and life, the first born when the universe began. Tor is the moon and death, what came after life started. Synphot is the consciousness of all Saiyans, what they gained when they first stepped on land. Dees is their strength, their body, their ideal selves.
Linapol is the wildcard.
They are the chaos and unbridled, undying spirit that lives in all Saiyans. Yes, Dees is the god who bestowed upon Saiyans the ability to adapt to any physically taxing situations (aka the “zenkai boosts”) but Linapol is the spirit itself to NOT give up. They are the voice in Saiyans hearts telling them to push forward, to keep fighting, to dig deep and reach for the impossible. To explore, to seek adventure, to fight, to love, to live. Always laughing in the face of insurmountable odds. It is the most intrinsic, innate ability that all Saiyans possess. It is also why Saiyans in both U6 and U7 believe that in every Saiyan--no matter who you are or where you come from--there is a piece of Linapol deep down, inside every Saiyan heart.
From Linapol, both U6 and U7 Saiyans have the innate ability to connect with animals and plants on any planet in the universe, and the ability to thrive in chaotic situations no matter what. U6 Saiyans use more of the former ability (animal/plant connection), while U7 Saiyans use more of the latter ability (thrive in chaos). In both universes, Linapol isn't particularly worshiped like their other siblings. Instead, Linapol is kind of a "latent" god/goddess. Again, it is because every Saiyan believes that Linapol exists in them all.
Because Linapol changes forms regularly, they are seen in U6 and U7 as the representation of how gender and sex is fluid in their respective societies. Because of this, U6 and U7 Saiyans are not hung up about sex and gender. Many non-binary Saiyans outright worship Linapol, despite there not being specific places/temples to go to on either planet. (As if Linapol cares, ha.)
Linapol as a god/dess embraces change, thrives in uncertainty, loves to buck trends and be themselves, unencumbered. She is quick witted, sharp, strong-willed, funny and spontaneous. The impulsivity can get Linapol in some trouble, another thing that annoys their siblings. Linapol is also quite disorganized and messy, but he doesn't care.
It is because of Linapol's mercurial, chaotic nature that he's kind of... not the most welcomed of the siblings. She tends to get on Synphot's nerves. Dees tolerates her at best. Soli acts like a stern mother with him. The one Linapol gets along with best is Tor because Tor admires Linapol's ability to just be THEMSELVES and no one else. Plus, Tor adores annoying her little siblings and her twin sister, and who else to spice up the boring life of being a Saiyan god than a god/dess who is literal chaos unbridled?
Linapol chose Raditz and Goten in U7 as their patron Saiyans as she felt that they represented the best of the free-wild chaotic Saiyan spirit that lives inside all Saiyans. Especially Raditz! She finds the brother of Soli's chosen (Goku) quite hilarious and charming. Occasionally she will show up in either of her favorite forms depicted above to Raditz, just to tease and mess with him.

Yoji (Baby Vegeta) from universe 6
Wrote a drable below
There are several fantastic ways of implementing the Tuffle parasite into super, the most interesting to me being that the parasite originates from universe 6 rather than 7. Now this could down several ways, and one day I might explore them in detail, but let’s focus on the most likely one- he’s just as much of a spiteful bastard in U6 as he was in U7, but with more Sayians around and more eyes watching in general he has to be more careful about what he does. Now why would he be from U6 and not U7? I like complicated stories and to put it simply- what if a while before the U6 Sayians joined the space age they were competing with Tuffles? And things got well out of hand, but since the victors tell the history, the “heroic” Syaians defeated the evil Tuffles, and overtime Sayians actual became goodies because of their belief in their history as heroes? Literally no one would know the truth except Yoji.
I would not be surprised if- working with the characters as cannon from the anime- he would make use of Frost, manipulating him and inevitably taking over his body (Sorry Icejinlover) and since I love the idea his presence can cause physical changes in the host (ala the white hair and red line on Vegeta), he would definitely make Frost look a bit less like his usual self to try getting around Frost’s wanted status. Also, given that Yoji can definitely peek into someone’s mind he would realize there are Sayians in different universes and would quickly determine his best bet is to bide his time in U6, but this could also be the start of the villain redemption arc (for both? Probably)
He may or may not be on the fence from the start given that he knows how kind Cabba is, and last I was aware Calfia and Kale were doing the whole Robin Hood thing? Why yes I do refuse to look that up so I’m running with that. Yoji would actually see that this generation of Sayians are goodies, but he’s still dependant on his programming (Like our man Cell) so he’s not exactly going to stray from it too easily. Independence and freewill is terrifying to Babe.
There’d be some nasty skirmishes but not quite enough to make Champa do anything about it, because how else would the U7 team be made to have adventures and explore the other universe? Seriously, I really loved GT and what little I watched of the OG dragon ball, the exploration was awesome.
So via a combination of Yoji killing U6 Sayians and not even the likes of Hit being able to stop the sneaky bugger Goku and Vegeta get pulled in to handle this. Except because of power creep, Yoji’s a major pain in the ass to try and get rid off- Still he gets knocked out of Frost which scares the hell outa him, but being much stronger now he catches several people off guard when doing his mind control stuff. And for dramatics sake we don’t see him when he hitches a ride on literally anyone to get into U7.
He’d probably watch how Goku and Vegeta are goodies with their families and start struggling to justify his actions. Maybe he even briefly gets to talk with Piccolo? Maaaaaybe? Also the Gammas and Hido. (I just love the Gammas so much, fite me)
still just for funsies He might try to grab Broly and that goes about as poorly as one could expect and at that point he starts having the break down.
Either he regains his composure and stays a villain (completely valid and what would most likely happen to him at this point in the timeline) or after everything he’s witnessed now that he’s no longer in isolation he attempts to make amends for the bullshit he’s pulled. And oddly enough Vegeta’s probably the person he can relate to the most, one some level, and actual kinda helps him. (I like Vegeta’s journey of maturing and slowly moving past his trauma in super… Yes I think it’s mostly in super. He relaxes by the end of Z, but Whis and Beerus’s constant presence I feel is helping him to find inner peace)
Now… Because I love my boy so much, and just because this is how I feel- He’d be kicked out of U6 after apologizing and he’d just be absorbed into the U7 fold given how many badies have turned into goodies… and would occasionally hitch rides to Beerus’s planet for the joy that is taking instruction from Whis for the same kinda inner peace training.

Dragon Ball Super 113
And now we come to the best part of the whole series.
The opening of this episode is just the last few minutes of the previous episode, with Caulifla rescuing Goku just so she can fight him herself. So let me jump to the new part.
Caulifla’s had a chance to recover her strength since she and Kale beat all those Pride Troopers a while back, and now she wants to take on Goku, but not just because he’s an opponent. Goku’s the one who showed her how to become a Super Saiyan 2, and he told her about Super Saiyan 3, so she needs him to show her how to reach that form. With Cabba and Hit eliminated, Universe 6 is counting on her now, and she can’t wait around to figure out SSJ3 later. She needs to get stronger immediately.
And Goku agrees to help her, but he can’t transform himself because he’s still worn down from fighting Jiren. He assures Caulifla that he’ll catch up later, but he’s ready to fight her in base form.
So I fucking love this whole fight, because it’s a side of Goku we don’t get to see much of. Vegeta bonding with Cabba isn’t very special to me, because they’re Saiyans who lived their whole lives among other Saiyans. It’s nothing special to them. But for Goku, it’s rare to see him socializing with other Saiyans like this, without Vegeta being involved. So it’s awesome to see him mentoring two younger Saiyans like this who aren’t his kids. And so Goku can be this Saiyan version of what Master Roshi is on Earth: an older guy who understands how this stuff works. I mean, he’s taught people before, but he had the whole “alien warrior from the stars thing” on the side.
And this is a big deal for Caulifla, because she and the other U6 Saiyans never had the Super Saiyan Legend to inspire them. My take on these three is that they’re the strongest Saiyans of their universe, probably at least as strong as base form Goku was in Resurrection F. Remember, Cabba and Vegeta fought evenly in the Destroyer Tournament before Vegeta asked him to transform. So they’re plenty strong in their own right, but they’ve been missing this important piece of the puzzle, and now, at last, Caulifla can get her own instruction from the Legendary Super Saiyan himself, Goku.
In a perfect world, where Planet Vegeta wasn’t destroyed and Goku could have risen to his true potential and liberated his people from Frieza, this could have been his life. Teaching other Saiyans how to achieve his transformation, and how to go even further. I don’t think that’s something Goku has ever considered, and he might not even want such a thing. The life of a Saiyan messiah probably sounds boring to him. But I think about it a lot, and here, just this once, he gets a taste of that kind of thing. And he seems to be having a good time, even if it wasn’t his idea.
As for the fight itself, the story here is that Caulifla can’t beat Goku, even though she’s fighting as SSJ2 and Goku’s still in base form. Whis explains it simply: Goku’s a skilled martial artist, and so he can use those skills and experience to out-finesse Caulifla’s brawling.
To her credit, she does manage to hit him a few times, but Goku can still stymie her with old gimcracks like the Afterimage Technique. Caulifla accuses him of playing tricks, but Goku warns her that if she can’t handle things like Afterimages, then she’s going to have a hard time getting to SSJ3.
So she tries again, and gradually, Caulifla starts to adapt to Goku’s fighting style.
This sort of puts lie to what Whis said about Caulifla being a mere street brawler, but so what? She learns quickly. Goku didn’t expect her to master SSJ2 so quickly, and here we are. That’s why he’s taken an interest in her.
Soon enough, Caulifla has closed the gap, and she warns Goku that he’d better transform soon or he’ll be outmatched. Goku obliges.
Super Saiyan 2 Goku fgighting Super Saiyan 2 Caulifla. 2 Super 2 Saiyan. You love to see it.
So this puts some more pressure on Caulifla, so she whips out her signature ki blast, the Crusher Cannon. Goku’s surprised to see that she has a move like that in her arsenal, and he’s suitably impressed.
Look at this guy. He’s great.
Oh, wow, this episode’s only halfway through? This is how you can tell it rules. So much happens and we’ve still got a lot of cool shit left to cover.
So these two just put on a clinic. I love this fight so much. He’s like a papa tiger teaching his baby tigers how to hunt. Caulifla starts to get accustomed to fighting at this level, and Kale’s on the sidelines enjoying how much her gal is loving all of this.
So Goku invites Kale to join them, and Caulifla’s totally on board. They can learn Super Saiyan 3 together. Kale’s reluctant at first, but she can’t say no to the idea of fighting side-by-side with her true love.
So hell yeah, Kale is on board for this. Goku’s like “Okay, girls, start beating the crap out of me!”
Around here, the gods in the U7 camp start to question the wisdom of Goku fighting two Super Saiyans at the same time when he still hasn’t gotten his strength back. Krillin’s like “Sirs, have you even watched this show before?”
Seriously, Goku’s literally getting his power back as he fights. It’s beautiful. The problem the gods have is that they can’t see past the Saiyans’ team affiliations. Beerus doesn’t want Goku to get doubled-teamed by U6, and Champa doesn’t want Caulifla and Kale to get hustled by U7. What they fail to understand is that all three fighters get something out of this, so everyone wins.
Vegeta could explain it to them, but he’s busy and they wouldn’t listen to him anyway. But you’ll listen, so I’ll explain it to you. Is winning this tournament their only goal? They should all be thinking about the next tournament, and whatever else follows. If you’re Champa, you should be thinking about how cool it’ll be to roll up for the next competition with three Super Saiyan Blues on the team. And if you’re Beerus, you should be thinking that Goku’s a fucking miracle, because he got his ass kicked a few minutes ago, and he’s already getting back in the groove while he fights. Instead of constantly questioning the Saiyans and insulting them for their ways, maybe they should appreciate their talents.
So the girls start to pressure Goku, and then they bring out their heavy artillery: The POWER OF CHRISTMAS. Crusher Cannon plus that Green Shit.
And Goku can hold it off, but he’s gonna need a little something extra to get out of this spot, which was kind of the point of this battle. Because how are you going to advance beyond Super Saiyan 2 power unless you fight at a Super Saiyan 2 level?
Of course, this is Dragon Ball Super, so we don’t have the cool music for this, but I think our live band can accommodate us...

I AM THE LORD OF THE WASTELAND
A MODERN DAY MAN OF STEEL
I GATHER DARKNESS TO PLEASE ME
AND I COMMAND YOU TO KNEEL
Caulifla and Kale are blown away.
“That’s metal as fuck!”
“Honestly, I was just going along with this to be supportive, but yeah, this is cool as hell!”
“I love you, Kale.”
“I love you too.”
Of course, Goku’s still not in the proper shape to maintain the form, so he drops back to SSJ2. But at least the girls got to see it. Satisfied, they plan to beat Goku and reach that level on their own.
But this gets Kale all amped up herself, so she tries to do her own epic transformation...
And now we’ve got full-on Berzerker Kale in this fight.
And Goku sure ain’t complaining.
