it was zhu li and varrick's wedding celebration. everyone had a blast with the couple's marriage, with varrick being the most extra person ever along with the decorations and venue. everyone had the time to slow dance, including the avatar and her circle of friends—team avatar.

you, on the other hand, were absolutely drooling over the long table that consisted of a huge buffet. that man, varrick, was rich as hell. your eyes scanned all over the different kinds of food, hands on your cheeks at how delicious and scrumptious they looked and wondered; was it possible to have a bite on every single one of these? you drooled even more at that thought.

you came across a huge chocolate fountain, which caught your attention almost instantly. your eyes sparkled in delight, zooming in to get a piece of strawberry and dipped it under the chocolate fountain's drizzling liquid, taking a bit out of it with a satisfied squeal of delight.

on the other side of the venue, there was kuvira. she watched your every move, a chin on her hand with a smile on her face. yeah, she was definitely love-struck by you. she watched as you had practically ended up at the chocolate fountain after you had told her to wait up on the rounded table you both occupied, only to be distracted by all the food that was right in front of you. kuvira only chuckled, shaking her head at your behavior.

she's practically gotten used to your little antics. you were her woman after all, and she loves every single thing about you. it was adorable.

just then, one of the beifong twins approached you. she had recognized him to be wei, one of su's son. she didn't really know if she should walk up to you and fetch you or watch how this interaction went from afar. seeing you laughing at whatever wei had said, kuvira had this strange feeling at the pit of her stomach. was it jealousy?

no, why should she be jealous? you're her lover after all. you both had acknowledged your loyalty and love towards one another, yet, she couldn't help but be a bit... stingy at the interaction. especially when it's someone she's known ever since her childhood days at the beifongs'. sighing out, she stood up with the chair sliding back. she fixed her appearance before slowly striding towards the both of you, who are laughing at something wei had said once more.

approaching the two of you eagerly, kuvira's stare hardened as soon as she saw a faint blush on your cheeks along with wei holding up what seemed to be a gift bag. she scoffed to herself, thinking 'why the hell was he even flirting with you?'—that's what she assumed he was doing.

toned arms snaked around your waist, making you flinch in surprise with a small yelp. turning your head over your shoulder, your eyes softened in realization that it was just kuvira.

"vira, didn't i tell you to wait up on the table?" you said sweetly, your eyes smiling up at her when she nuzzled her face on the side of your neck, pleased with the usual nickname you made her ever since you both started dating. maybe you were just imagining things, but was she glaring at the boy right in front of you?

"i've grown tired of waiting. i'd already missed you." kuvira mumbled against the skin of your neck, kissing down on it as she made eye contact with wei, a seemingly possessive glint in her own green orbs. laughing softly, your hand reached to the top of her head, patting gently. wei shook his head at her behavior, already sensing why she was acting that way.

pulling away, kuvira stood up straight now, a hand around your waist as she stood beside you, the other hand on her hip. she squinted her eyes at wei in suspicion, before turning to you, gently grabbing ahold of your chin to look up at her. her softened gaze landed on the end of your lips, a smudge of chocolate from the fountain was pretty visible on your soft skin.

"you're a mess." kuvira stated, leaning down towards you to peck a kiss on your lips with her thumb wiping off the smudge off your face. she smirked down at you, letting her thumb rest on her mouth whilst licking the chocolate off, making you heat up almost instantly.

kuvira's fingers squished your cheeks together, your lips parting open. she leaned back down to claim your sweet lips, giving you a passionate kiss. she let herself taste the hint of chocolate in your mouth, humming in satisfaction right in front of the guy, who looked away with a disgusted look in his eyes and crossed arms.

"geez, get a room."

kuvira opened an eye to look at him, still giving him a sidelong glance with a hint of glare in it. closing her eyes again, she let her tongue dance along with your own in dominance. she continued on before pulling away, a string of saliva connecting the both of you. the woman in front of you gave you one last peck and turned to him.

"i always get what i want, and i didn't want to just kiss my woman in a room. i don't need to, i can just kiss her right here. now, i don't have an idea on what you're giving her, but back off wei."

wei watched the whole scene happen, rolling his eyes as his hands raised up in surrender, not fully understanding what he did wrong. he nodded off at you, preparing to walk off and deciding let you two be.

"well, just think about the thing i told you, 'kay?" wei waved a hand at the both of you, running off to find his twin brother. kuvira only looked at his back in confusion, her eyes landing on you with a curious look in them. catching her the raise of her eyebrow, you only laughed in response.

"i don't know. he said pineapple juice would help alot in bed. i don't really know what he meant by that, though..." raising up a bag of pineapple juice in cans. upon hearing your words, kuvira's eyes widened in slight realization, covering her face with her gloved hand as her face heated up.

"was it to make me sleep well? surely i'd sleep well enough if that's the case." you continued mumbling, looking into the bag and brought one can out with interest. "i didn't know pineapple juice can give you an effect for a nice sleep once in a while."

"ah, no that's..." kuvira tried to start, but ended up getting a bit flustered at the thought. she cleared her throat before speaking up, pointing at the chocolate fountain, grabbing ahold of the bag of pineapple juice from your hands.

"don't you want more of those?"

Post-overblot hed be really shy in getting into a relationship but wants to be cared for and protected. But he's not standing up for u in front of his mom tho you'll have to deal with her urself

6/10 he’s a sweet boy, just too bossy and not assertive enough to his mom. Divorceablity is quite high with this one.

Cater Diamonds - low-key relatable to me. BUT. His slang gets annoying after a while. His constant posting without peoples permission is weird too. Picture this. He's meeting your family for the first time, and you sit to have dinner. Cater takes a pic of you guys and posts it with the caption "With bae their fam, I'm a bit nervous guys wish me luck!🥺"#girldad #boymom #saveme Your family assumed it's his humor. WRONG. It's his way of coping with his uncomfortability. When it's silent during dinner he says" OH EM GEE GIRLYPOPS!!!, this food is so SLAY💅!! Tysm bestiessss" Your family gives him the nastiest side eye. He never speaks again. 

7/10 he seems to be a pretty sweet and understanding person, just needs better ways to express himself . Also he calls your mother queenie.

Trey Clover - he’s an interesting guy. You'll typically see him as an npc, but he's much more than that. Have you seen his *tips fedora * "m'lady" stare?? Yeah there's definitely something strange going on there. He's a pretty family oriented guy tho, and he loves to bake for his s/o and to provide comfort and care.

8/10 he's probably one of the more normal ones that I would actually date. Or be friends with. Just keep one eye open when your sleeping with ur with him tho

Ace Trappola- I don't understand how someone could even like him. He's the kinda kid to push you off the swing during recess and when you tell the teacher he'll go like "NUH UH!! THEY HIT ME FIRST!!" . Plus he's canonically not a good partner lmaoooo

3/10 he’s not even a middle schooler. Too pebble brained. Don't date a gremlin like him. maybe if he finds someone like him he might maintain a steady relationship.

Deuce Spades- no thoughts head empty. He needs a little direction in life but he's got a goal in mind. He's a lil stupid but he's getting there. He's such so sweet and silly you have to love him. But he needs to mature a bit before entering a long term relationship 

6/10 not my type, I would go for his mom instead. Plus his dad is literally dr.eggman, that explains everything. but yeah he's got what It takes, be kind to him. He's fragile. Like an egg.

If you do manage to get him attached to you it'll take him a while to fully love you as much as you love him, as well as put in the same amount of effort .

7/10- I don't think he genuinely needs a partner. He's got his own issues to sort out. But when he falls, he falls hard. I wonder how hard his abs are.

Ruggie Bucchi - Rugbartholomew !!!! The scrunkly. The scrimp. It'll be so fun horsing around with this guy. Being his s/o is like being his partner in crime. It'll be fun, and you guys support each other . He really cares abt his loved ones and always tries to bring something to the table for them, literally and metaphorically. Midnight runs to seven eleven. He's working 10 jobs at a time. He's EMPLOYED. He's a boyemployee. He just needs his girlboss to complete him.

5/10 he's a bit scummy tbh. It'll take him a while to fully trust someone. He’d do some sleazy things for money. It also gives you the ick when he smells donuts and starts floating towards them.

Jack Howl- he's surprisingly normal. He's got a set sleep schedule , he's healthy, he has set routines, and healthy coping mechanisms. But that's the thing. as much as he is such a caring and gentle lover, these routines take up most of his life and time. He would be waking you up at ungodly hours for a morning jog only for you to pass out midway to Mount Kilimanjaro. .

7/10 -he dates for marriage, and he’s really serious about his future and starting a family. So he’s such a loyal and protective guy. He's just too much of a gym bro. He prefers pre-workout over partners. Also he unironically likes alpha/werewolf quotes.

Azul Ashengrotto- I love him so much. He's so me guys you don't get it (capitalism) but that aside, HES SO DAMN WEIRD LMAOOOOOO like he thinks he has rizz but he just looks like a Reddit 'nice guy'. Legitimately says m'lady. He gives off the fake dating trope to me. He'd date you to get something out of you but then actually fall hard bc he's touch starved and longs to feel emotionally vulnerable but is afraid of it. So he's an absolute mess in a relationship and needs a lot of reassurance. But yeah he's pretty bitchless 

7/10 he's gorgeous, but he sounds like that one pufferfish singing thing. I relate to him a lot so he gets points. Also since his parents are divorced he definitely has a high divorceability. I have a theory in the works that since we don't know who his biological father is, it might just be Mr. Krabbs. Like it's never said he's a full octopus (to my knowledge). SpongeBob and squidward are Floyd and Jade respectively. SpongeBob X twisted wonderland when?

Floyd Leech- he drank battery acid as a baby. Like dude you're in love with a nuclear fission bomb. If you like Floyd, you're just as fucked up as he is. It's okay tho, he's a very physically affectionate guy and may be overly possessive and obsessive but that's just his charm dw abt it. He also does thing like "if you hug me, expect a little nibbling on your earlobe 😝" and he bites off your entire ear.

2/10 his kisses taste like fish and sheet metal, and he licks short peoples heads when no one's looking. 

Jade Leech- if you saw him eat mushrooms well no you didn't because if he eated mushrooms then he would have not eating mushroom bc no . His version of love is psychological warfare . He’s a mysterious guy. Let's set a scenario for him. You're sitting in the monstro lounge. You see a tall, dark and handsome man across the bar with a mysterious aura. You catch his gaze and quickly dart your eyes away. But his never stop staring at you. He comes up to you and you guys chat naturally . He buys you a drink, your favorite actually. He knows all the ways to make you swoon. He’s so dreamy. Then he says that he put cyanide in your drink as joke. Then he lets it slip he's been stalking you for days. You find out his a wanted criminal. And end scene. Yeah that's romance with him. 

4/10 he's an attentive and observant guy, but sadly that's way before you guys are dating and he's a psych ward escapee.

Like everyone wishes to be beautiful, in some sort of way. I think in a relationship he'll need some reassurance about his looks, but also about it his partner only wants him for his looks. I don't think he actually has high standards, he would probably want someone pretty normal, but also takes good care of themselves, not just appearance-wise.

He genuinely has dabbled in many different things over the years , so he'll never run out of stories to tell. Many 3 am Minecraft dates. Those upside down  Spider-Man kisses. He’s more than ready to settle down with someone have kids of his own. Maybe have a girl. Name her draculaura, you know the rest. He probably went to monster high ngl. But he's a much more mature kinda guy. Definitely knows what he wants in a relationship. He's reasonable too. But you guys don't sleep in the same bed he hangs from the ceiling in a sleeping bag.

Silver - he's the female gaze bro. He's gorgeous . He’s legitimately a normal dude. But I don't think he's even been near a woman before. No rizz. Just soldier and eepy. But he definitely wants an s/o who can care for him a lot considering his narcolepsy. It's something that worries him a lot, and needs a person who's full of love to give, not only to him but to his family. But you're always welcome to nap with him underneath a tree in the warm sun.

first of all tysm for this ask (+ your incredibly kind follow-up), it was a delight to receive + i’ve been wanting an excuse to talk about a lot of this for a while so i very much appreciate the interest!

as always please keep in mind that i am Just Some Fem, nothing is universal including when it comes to D/s & i can only speak to what works for me. i try to focus on starting points rather than specifics but ultimately my advice will always be limited by what i needed to hear & wasn’t told, which may not be what’s helpful for a different person. with that being said, here’s some suggestions!

i’ve posted a previous reading list (link 2) with relevant recs; particularly the practicality + sex writing sections have the kind of thing you’re looking for. specifically, The New Topping Book (2003) is a solid starting point; i definitely have my issues with it (haven’t read it recently enough to recall many specifics but i have the sense of general pervasive racism & ableism) but it did a good job at making me think & i appreciate the supportive tone they were going for

another book added to my tbr since then is Coming to Power (link 3), released by SAMOIS in 1983

the fic At The End of His Rope by Letterblade (link 4) is genuinely some of my favorite sex writing of all time & accomplishes the incredibly impressive feat of representing a broad array of dom styles & changes over time in the same piece

i’ve found many of those foundations by poking around the incredible bodies of work original & archived @newsmutproject @woman-loving @gatheringbones

for me, studying sex is the same as studying poetry – reading for craft is a different process than for pleasure (not that there isn’t a great deal of pleasure to be found in such practice, especially for sadists – perhaps that’s why as a child i never resonated with Billy Collins’ “Introduction to Poetry,” like i love tying poems to chairs & beating them idk what to tell you). so, keeping in mind that these are suggestions not requirements, here’s how i read for + work on craft:

there is no such thing as too much journaling. this can take whatever form you prefer – voice memo, discord message to yourself, the noble notes app, your own personal sexy red string corkboard, a vast & stunning array of other approaches i can’t even begin to imagine. i personally have an elaborate web of spreadsheets & google docs lmao. what matters is developing a collection of ideas you want to play with + a practice of continually reflecting on past experiences.

pay attention to structure, not just content. find a scene you think is disjointed and pick at the seams, brainstorm better transitions. then find a scene that flows so smoothly it carries you with it and figure out what makes it work.

rewrite a scene you’re drawn to or affected by to suit your own preferences. i first did this when i couldn’t shake “Interlude 3” (link 6) from my head after reading The New Topping Book; you can read my variation on the theme here (link 7) if you’re interested.

write or think through a scene fantasy you have from negotiation to aftercare. obviously it’s very difficult if not impossible to fully script a scene in advance; the purpose isn’t planning something you’ll later do but rather getting used to coming up with ideas to get from one disparate moment / act to the next.

revisit a scene you’ve read, written, thought about, etc and list the physical & mental acts that are required / expected of the sub (eg, kneeling for 10 minutes; making eye contact; counting to 30, etc). then rework the scene for a sub who has the same interests & goals who cannot do 20% (or 50%, or any) of these acts.

revisit a previous scene and list the places where you think a sub might safeword & why. then rework it with the sub safewording somewhere that isn’t any of these places.

i also recommend keeping in mind that like… for me, reading about ethical sex can often be a very distressing process for the same reason that it’s liberating: because it proves that things i’ve experienced are not the way sex has to be. i’ll tell this story in its fullness one day but the first time i read S/HE by Minnie Bruce Pratt i literally had a flashback to events i’d repressed for years, it was devastating, i’m so grateful for it. hell, in the process of compiling resources for this post i cried twice editing this quote (link 8) because between reading that book the first time & now someone did “respond with scorn or ridicule” when i safeworded. so i would really encourage folks to approach this kind of work with as much grace & comfort for yourself as you can muster or borrow – if it’s really fucking hard, you’re not alone in that, & it’s okay to take your time + pace yourself + seek support.

jacob is such a sweetheart. he's immediately asking if you need anything and pulling you close. he might be laughing just a little bit but quickly relents when you slide your cold hands under his shirt and splay them on his stomach or back. yelps and insists on wrapping you both in a big fluffy blanket until you warm up. he is so not at happy for the excuse to cuddle you nope that's definitely not it at all.

younghoon is already curled up in his coziest sweater and clinging onto you like your body heat is going to save you both. will suggest a hot bath together or a blanket fort (in bed or on the sofa, whichever you prefer) bc cuddles are always warm right? you end up with candles lit, soft music playing and matching sweatsuits on as you bake cookies together and snuggle up in your fort to make the most of the rainy evening watching your favourite animated films together.

hyunjae is a human space heater. the minute you start shivering he is poking fun and laughing at your whining while you cling to him. secretly loves it please never stop treating him like your very own personal heated blanket. will sulk and complain if you wrap yourself in a blanket or steal a hoodie to keep you warm bc he is literally right there what do you mean you don't want him wrapped around you like a spidermonkey while you go about your daily tasks?

juyeon is already bundling you into matching oversized sweaters bc if he is cold then so are you, guaranteed. back hugging you while you make you both something warm to eat, hands in the front pockets of your jumper and chin on shoulder. nuzzles his nose or cheek against yours while he talks to you as you cook, watching every step and going to grab anything that's out of your reach but not staying away from you too long. definitely sways with you and hums, sliding cold fingers under the hem of your shirt while you're trying to focus bc let's be real he has to be a little bit of a menace.

kevin will absolutely make you repeat yourself 6 times with the biggest smile on your face before he gives in and helps. cue 'i'm sorry love, what was that? can you say it again baby?'. playful but the minute he sees you're actually cold is wrapping you in the fluffiest blanket and bundling you into the kitchen to make you both cups of hot cocoa. keeps rubbing your arms and pressing little butterfly kisses to your nose and cheeks, mumbling about how frozen you are and probably singing the soundtrack just bc that's how his brain works. will 100% run you a hot bath and lay out some of his clothes fresh out of a quick tumble around in the dryer for you to wear.

chanhee will already have coordinating cozy outfits laid out on the radiator warming up for both of you to change into. let's be real this man already has negative body heat, he has none to share with you so he's an expert at tricks for keeping warm. probably has hot packs hidden away all over your apartment just for these kinds of scenarios. he's running the hottest bath possible with your favourite scented soaps and bubbles he's determined to make this a luxurious experience okay and is queuing up your favourite show to watch together while you soak. you will find yourself snuggled into a blanket cocoon in bed afterwards with takeout and snacks littered around. warming up is a very serious activity and chanhee won't spare anything to make sure you're both content and comfortable. and also looking cute in matching pyjama sets while you do it. he's probably made it a couple skincare day since you're laying around anyway.

changmin doesn't hesitate to pull you into his arms, already laughing and teasing you with a big smile on his face. he only razzes you a little, pressing a kiss to your forehead and taking your hands in both of his to rub some warmth into them. will absolutely wear his biggest sweater and insist on sharing so you both end up squished into it, you settled on his lap while he rubs your thigh with one hand and keeps you pressed close with the other. probably blinks at you and innocently suggests kisses will warm you up not just bc he wants some ofc. you will end up with a mug of hot cider, tea or hot chocolate snuggled up on the sofa watching scary movies until he deems you warm enough which honestly will be never bc he is not letting you go you're stuck in his arms for the rest of the night now good luck.

haknyeon probably already turning on the fireplace/heating and bringing you one of his jumpers to snuggle up in. this man is a sweetheart so he definitely makes you a hot beverage but will make little comments every time he walks past and tease you if you complain. despite that sits beside you and pats his lap for you to put your feet up, slipping on some warm socks and rubbing your calves. sits pressed close so you can steal his body heat, thumb stroking your ankle and throw blanket from the back of the sofa draped over your shoulders. he just wants you to be as comfy and cozy as possible at all times honestly.

sunwoo already has the blanket fort started. you are absolutely wearing his sweats and hoodie. he zipped you into them. pouts if you don't drop whatever you're doing to come cuddle under the blankets with him even though he definitely screeches when your cold hands or feet come into contact with his skin. asks you how you got this cold like it's somehow your fault your extremities are blocks of ice and yaps about how you should take better care of yourself so he doesn't come home to you frozen one day. will look into how to improve poor blood circulation and stock up on home remedies & items the internet tells him help. won't tell you about it but the next time you complain about being cold or he catches you shivering you can bet your boyfriend is prepared. beyond prepared. and very proud of himself about it.

eric takes a minute to notice you shivering, caught up in arguing with sunwoo over the video game they're currently losing. once he does he's quick to pause and get you a sweater, make you something hot to drink and order some warm food for you both. fighting with his friends can wait, the teasing will be worth it later, his priority is making sure you get warm. another one who makes a pile of blankets and uses cuddling up with you as an excuse to watch ghibli movies or his favourite anime since you need his body heat and can't escape. somehow falls asleep like fifteen minutes in with his head on your chest, arms still wrapped around your waist and your hands in his hair. yeah that's baby your honour he was probably talking your ear off right up until he zonked out on you. at least he's cute pls let him get away with it he just wanted to make sure you didn't turn into an ice cube. he means well and loves you very much. he's just a big soft puppy really.

rambling AGAIN about mm!/tottmnt donnie (ep 10)

ok finally got to rewatch ep 10. definitely not a perfect episode now that i think about it, but i still like it. @lordchinnychin asked for my thoughts (tysm i appreciate it btw) so here we goooo

TOTTMNT EP 10 SPOILER ONWARDS‼️

at the start of the ep, donnie is already a little dismissive of wingnut's paranoia and doesn't take it too seriously. but donnie doesn't go too far. in fact, even at this point, he visibly wants to comfort wingnut. offering her food, giving suggestions, but he's definitely not directly talking to her about the problem just yet.

during the scene where they were surrounded by the alligator, wingnut started to panic even worse. however, donnie's responses were a bit harsher, which you can't fully blame him since he was starting to get stressed out.

also idk where to insert this, but i lowkey love the aussie jokes lol. and i kinda love that donnie still makes them even when they're literally surrounded by a wild animal. humor is one of his coping mechanisms, i guess.

at some point, both of them reach their limits to the point that wingnut even says that she would rather be a unmutated bat again. that statement seems to really hit donnie, possibly because he probably has the same thought too sometimes. i wouldn't be surprised if all the turtles had that insecurity at some point.

so that statement finally made donnie stop for a moment and just talk to wingnut head-on. he finally starts by acknowledging her feelings first. and i really like that he straight up admits he's not good when it comes to feelings. but when that isn't working out, donnie tries a different approach and tries to connect with wingnut through their shared interests.

honestly, the references already feel outdated, but i really do like the idea of the scene. sure, donnie isn't the best at connecting with feelings, but i really love that he still makes an effort to connect with her through his own donnie way; in a way that both of them understand and share because of their bond.

the moment they got surrounded by the alligator again, donnie tries a different approach to get through "demutated leatherhead." specifically, he does what he thinks his brothers would do in his position. but, erm, that doesn't work out. honestly, yeah it's very dumb for donnie to try to talk to a literal alligator lol. but the scene also pretty much signifies that donnie trying to act and think like someone else isn't the best answer.

also very interesting that the first time we see donnie visibly really REALLY panic in this episode is when he fell into the water and almost drowned. throughout the episode, he's been taking things pretty well, especially for a teenager. and he isn't even the older one between him and wingnut! but it's him who had to take charge. sometimes, he's probably the anchor for his brothers too.

of course in this children's cartoon, they solve the problem by working together and being yourself. the end hooray 🎉

but something that really really bothers me is whenever donnie mentions throughout the episode that he's "left-brained." So who's gonna tell him that being more left or right brained is just a myth? lol. it's been debunked years ago that your brain doesn't have a part that's more dominant.

but even with the inaccuracy, maybe that's intentional? cause i can't just believe it that a smart person like donnie wouldn't know the truth lol.

maybe donnie saying he's left brained more so pertains to the fact that he doesn't believe that he's also more right brained and more empathetic than he realizes. maybe because he's been labeled as the smart one for so long that he isn't exactly comfortable with that position. it's because of the label that it makes him think that he SHOULD ONLY be logical. what if he's purposefully limiting himself? when, in reality, he's a lot more emotional than he realizes. he just happens to be a bit more emotionally intelligent than his brothers. but i guess one of them just has to step up.

man, being the youngest (i think) but also the most mature might be the thing that fucks up the way he views himself. they assume donnie is the smart one, so they expect him to be the smart one all the time for every situation. and that takes quite a toll on donnie, so he tries to convince himself that he is only logical. my god, let this boy breathe!! i'm sure the others don't intentionally pressure donnie of course, but it still affects him nonetheless.

ok, so if ever tottmnt ever gets another season, i would love for a donnie episode where he starts to feel more confident about himself. not just confident about his smarts alone, but also his interests. i'm just realizing this as i write this, but they didn't mention donnie's interests that much in the show compared to the movie. well, i wanna hear about them again!! i wanna see him have fun and be happy!! i want donnie to realize he's not just the smart one, or that his worth is based on his intelligence, strength, or anything else. donnie is awesome for simply being donnie, and that's completely enough.

Is his way of comforting you, as he indirectly promises you that he'll help you find your twin this way. He doesn't notice his growing feelings for you either, so you might have to confess first eventually.

          y/n smelt her amortentia. she smelt baby powder.. gingerbread.. melted chocolate.. and a new book. these smells together was familiar… something she was used to but she couldn’t put her finger on it.

          “i smell.. gingerbread, chocolate, baby powder.. and a new book..” y/n listed slowly, trying to remember who owned the scent in her love potion. 

          the next day, y/n was peacefully studying in the library. she was just finishing up her transfiguration essay when she saw a shadow of a boy. she looked behind her and saw remus. usually when someone interrupts her study sessions, she gets really pissed but since it was going to be a full moon that night, she didn’t mind. 

          “hey remmy, you all good?” 

          “yeah.. i’ve been thinking.. you know how you said if i needed anything for the full moon i could go to you?” remus explained fast. y/n nodded. “well.. i- i.. i want you to stay with me while i’m a werewolf..” 

          “uh- are you sure??” y/n asked uncomfortably. remus nodded. y/n thought for a while. should she risk her life to help her best friend? she did promise him she would do anything… “sure.” y/n finally decided. 

          “really?” remus said. he hugged y/n “thank you y/n! thank you so much!! this means the world to me!!”

          this hug was different. y/n and remus always hug, but this hug was not a normal hug. he was closing his eyes, smiling, his arms weren’t stiff and it just felt more - from the heart.. 

          later on that evening, y/n got dressed into her pyjamas and went to the common room to check on james, sirius and peter, who were remus’ dorm mates but slept in the common room whenever it was a full moon. 

          “hey guys, how you doing?” y/n said, walking down the girls dormitory stairs and stopping at the doorway. they were playing uno and of course, peter had the most cards with sirius down to one card. 

          “we’re fine, aren’t you staying with remus for the night?” sirius said, still focused on the very professional game.

          “yeah, wish me luck. i hope i don’t get eaten.” y/n said playfully, half joking and half truthful.

          “if he does, i’m going to beat the crap out of him.” james said, overprotective for his younger sister

     ��    “james, i’ll be fine. since i’m sleeping in your dorm, can i sleep in your bed?” y/n asked. back at the potter manor, they switch rooms all the time. 

          “alright, sleep tight lil’ sis” james said, picking up 4 cards from the pick-up-pile since peter placed down a ‘plus 4’ card. 

          y/n walked up the boys dormitory stairs and around the corner to remus’ dorm. she checked a clock nearby. it was 8:47, thirteen minutes to lights out and thirteen minutes until remus turns into a werewolf. she knocked on the door. shirtless remus opened. Once y/n saw this, she immediately blushed. 

          “oh- uhm.. hi, remus” y/n said, staring at the floor to avoid the awkwardness. 

remus noticed what made her feel uncomfortable. he quickly threw a shirt on. 

          “crepes. sorry about that… do come in..” remus said, embarrassed. remus never really swore, so she was used to him saying words instead of the real swear word. y/n walked into the dorm. she saw that they had moved james and peter’s beds against the wall to make space in the middle of the room. 

          “wow. so how much longer?” y/n turned around to face him

          “well.. It’s 9:51, so nine more minutes.” remus said, checking an old, grandfather clock in the back of their dorm. remus took his shirt off again and saw y/n blushing.

          “sorry. it’s the only way i don’t rip my shirts apart.” remus explained. she could hear the sincerity in his voice. 

          “it’s alright remmy.. are you sure you want me to stay?” y/n said sweetly

          “yes please.. so when i turn into a werewolf, which is in.. four minutes, i’m gonna need you to hide behind sirius’ bed. and if i dont talk for five minutes, get out your wand and yell sectumsempra at me, okay?” remus inquired. 

          “sectumsempra? but doesn’t that injure people?” y/n wondered in worry

          “injures people, not werewolves. if i haven’t talked five minutes after i turned into a werewolf, it means the transformation didn’t work well and- nevermind, if it happens, just do it.” remus said seriously. y/n nodded. while waiting, they just chilled together on remus’ bed talking about school and their friends. 

          tick.. tick.. tick.. the clock hit 9:00. remus was sitting in the middle of the room and y/n behind sirius’ bed, clutching her wand just in case. she watched as he turned into a werewolf, which was not glamorous. 2 minutes after he finished transforming, y/n was waiting for him to talk. she really did not wish to use the curse. 

          “y/n?” a deep voice said suddenly

          “remmy? is that - you?” y/n wondered aloud, coming out from behind the bed

          “yeah, i’m not going crazy like usual” remus’ new deep voice stated

          “really? did you take anything?” y/n said, sitting on sirius’ dog hair bed.

          “well, my aunt gave me this thing called a wolfsbane potion that’s supposed to not turn me into a werewolf.. but she said the first time i try it i should mix it with like- pumpkin juice or water or something…” remus explained

          “well that helps..” y/n says

          down in the common room, james, peter and sirius were still playing uno. sirius lay down on his sleeping bag expecting there to be a pillow but of course, reality is always different from your expectation. 

          “crap, i forgot my pillow. do you think i should go up and get my pillow?” sirius suggests.

          “well, if the other gryffindor boys aren’t screaming then it’s probably safe.” peter teased. 

          sirius tip-toed up the stairs and quietly opened the dorm room door. he walked into the room, expecting to see a lot of damage in the room. but instead, everything looked normal. sirius scanned around the room for the grey wolf but it was nowhere in sight. sirius walked to his bed to grab his pillow and in the bed across from him, was remus in wolf form, laying on his bed. but he wasn’t alone. y/n was there too, they were in the ‘little spoon big spoon’ cuddling position with remus’ long, fluffy wolf tail wrapped around y/n’s legs tucking her in a sweet embrace. sirius was in complete shock. no one had ever seen remus in this state during a full moon transformation. sirius decided to shrug this feeling off, grabbed his pillow and walked back downstairs to the common room. 

          the beautiful, morning sun shone down on y/n, waking her up. she opened her eyes to see remus’ hard, shirtless and human chest. she looked up at remus’ face. he was already awake, reading a book. she was confused, she didn’t remember sleeping in remus’ bed. and especially with him. 

          “remmy?” y/n yawned

          “morning y/n” remus whispered sweetly

          “why am i in your bed?” she said, sitting up and leaning on the head board

          “you said that you would sleep in james’ bed but it was full of his dirty laundry, sirius’ bed had a lot of dog hair and you just didn’t want to sleep in peter’s bed so i let you sleep in mine.” remus explained

          “with you?” 

          “oh, i was sleeping on the floor but in the middle of the night i heard people talking so i got in bed too” remus said

          “oh.. okay..” 

          “y’know, you’re really cute when you’re asleep” remus teased

          “shut up! i probably snored all night!” y/n muttered

          “you didn’t, you were really peaceful” 

          “whatever” y/n rolled her eyes, leaning on remus’ shoulder to see what he was reading. it was a book on the wolfsbane potion. “oh, that potion.”

          “yeah, it really helped me last night. if i hadn’t taken it, you’d be dead by now” remus chuckled, half joking and half truthful. y/n laughed along too. 

          james, sirius and peter came walking into the dorm to put away their sleeping bags and pillows. 

          “had a good sleep?” sirius said, walking over to his bed. james stopped and stared as soon as he entered the doorway.

          “why the f**k are you two in the same bed?” james snapped

          “it’s not what it looks like, we’re best friends, james” y/n says, insulted by what her brother thought she was doing. she got out of remus’ bed and leaned against the bedpost.  “plus, your bed smells horrible! smells worse than when i use the toilet after you at home!” y/n teased

          “shut up!” james said, embarrassed. y/n and sirius laughed. 

          “so, hogsmeade weekend! you guys going?” peter asked, plopping himself down on his bed. 

          “of course! can’t pass up the chance to go buy lollies! probably even steal some too! you up for it pads?” james asked

          “duh!” sirius playfully added

          “well i better get dressed, meet in the common room?” y/n asked. the marauders nodded and waved y/n goodbye as she walked out of the dorm room.

          after she got dressed, she waited in the common room along with lily and marlene. lily and marlene were fangirling over their halloween costumes while y/n was reading a book on potions. the marauders came walking down the stairs from the boys dormitories. the first thing she noticed was james and sirius, doing idiotic stuff like always, so she just rolled her eyes. behind them was remus, wearing his chaotic academia clothes like always. y/n got up and walked towards him. 

          “that sweater is adorable remmy!!” y/n exclaimed. remus slightly blushed.

          “oh.. thanks y/n..” remus said, flustered. 

          “no worries! should we go now?” y/n suggested. remus nodded softly.

          they arrived at hogsmeade, they could see the three broomsticks, zonkos joke shop and honeydukes were decorated ready for halloween. they saw james, sirius and peter run into the three broomsticks and lily and marlene ran into a new thrift store. it was just remus and y/n. 

          “where do you wanna go?” y/n asked remus

          “there’s a new crystal shop i’d like to visit..” remus uttered softly

          “okay!” y/n said sweetly, grabbing remus’ hand and gently jogging to the crystal shop he was talking about. 

          they stopped at a clean shop with a big sign above the entrance that said ‘crystal clear’. y/n knew how much remus liked crystals, especially sparkly ones. on holidays james would visit remus at his house and y/n would tag along. back at remus’ house, he has a whole display cabinet for his crystals. they walked into the store, still hand in hand. y/n looked at remus’ face, which was happier than she had seen in a while. he let go of her hand to look at some cat - shaped crystals. she could tell by the expression on his face that he was in awe. like the feeling when you walk into a shop where they have all the things you love. y/n herself was looking around at the crystals. she saw a wolf - shaped crystal. it was so pretty and it captured the beauty of a real wolf. it reminded her of remus, and the night she spent with him in his wolf form. a tingly feeling crossed her heart. she thought.. was this feeling.. love? no, it couldn’t be, he was her best friend. she went to the counter, where remus had 6 crystals laid on the counter. 

          “i can buy that for you if you want” remus said, digging through his pockets.

          “oh.. it’s okay, you don’t need to” y/n smiled

          “please? i owe you, you could have died last night.” remus pleaded. y/n placed the wolf - shaped crystal on the counter along with his crystals replying ‘finee’. 

          they were chilling under a tree, eating lollies from honeydukes, chatting and laughing together. gummies, lollipops, bertie bots every flavour beans, chocolate frogs, the list goes on and on. 

          “why did you get a wolf crystal?” remus suddenly questioned

          “because it reminds me of my best friend” she half-lied. it did remind her of her best friend, but it also reminded her of her tiny crush on him. but she thought it was too cringy to say, and too risky as well. remus laughed.

          “same reason i got this” remus chuckled, reaching into his hand-painted tote-bag and pulls out a pink, transparent heart crystal. “reminds me of you because you look really good in pink and your heart is nice and kind.. also because… i kinda like you..” remus’ face went pink. he stared at the ground to avoid embarrassment.

          “remmy..” y/n breathed “i keep on trying to deny this feeling too..” 

          “y/n, we’re best friends, and we’re extremely close.. do you.. maybe wanna be my girlfriend?” remus asked shyly. y/n’s smile grew wide but didn’t want to be awkward. she quickly thought of how to say ‘yes’ without over - doing it. 

          “i’d love to be your girlfriend remmy!” she said, trying to contain her smile.

          that starry night, the marauders all met in the three broomsticks to have some butterbeer or pumpkin juice together. remus and y/n decided not to tell them just yet, after all, they’d only been dating for a few hours. sirius and peter were laughing at embarrassed james who was drinking his butterbeer, ashamed of himself.

          “hey! why are you laughing at james?” y/n asked

          “he tried to ask lily out but got rejected in front of all her friends” sirius teased

          “the poor guy, don’t laugh at him” remus said

          “yeah guys! don’t laugh! it’s not funny!” james said, staring at the floor

          “you guys are just jealous ‘cause you don’t have anyone to ask out” y/n snapped. sirius and peter stopped laughing. 

          “and what about you, still single always reading your stupid book in the corner of the common room every night” sirius replied back.

          “at least i’m doing something useful, you probably just stay in your dorm isolating yourself from everyone else!” y/n teased. remus spoke up.

          “plus, pads, she’s not single” remus proudly added

          “oh yeah? who’s she dating then moony?” sirius said, not expecting an answer

          “me” 

that word caused silence around the table. y/n’s face went pink and she drank her butterbeer. 

          “really?” james said in a fangirling voice. remus nodded proudly.

          “well.. i stand corrected, congrats guys” sirius muttered, embarrassed that he was wrong. he was used to being right all the time. 

          “oh shut up sirius, you’re just jealous because no one likes you” y/n bragged playfully. sirius rolled his eyes. 

          “whatever” he shrugged his shoulders.

josuke wasn’t usually the anxious type. far from it, actually. josuke was pretty much known for his confidence, both in style and attitude.

but today, though, he couldn’t shake his nerves. a tight ball of nervousness had sank into the pits if his stomach as he leaned against the outer walls of the school, feigning non-chalance as he waited for you to exit with the wave of students heading home for the day. as he picked out your voice among the herd of highschoolers pouring out of the doors, he looked away in an attempt to pretend like he hadn’t positioned himself at the exits like this on purpose (it really wasn’t working).

“oh-oh hey, y/n!” he raises his hand in a half wave to catch your attention, mentally berating himself at the way his words caught on each other.

“hey josuke! you’re out way earlier than usual.” you point out, having been friends with him long enough to realize that he tends to leave school later than most (on accounts of screwing around with okuyasu, for sure.)

“i am? oh, uh- i mean, yeah, i guess i am!” he catches his mistake quickly enough, but his obvious attempts to stall prompt a quirked eyebrow from you.

“is something up?” you ask, and josuke gulps hard. here goes nothing..

“i.. i wrote something for you!” he says, sticking out a lavender envelope with your name written on it in pen. the second you look up, josuke is gone. poor guy got too scared.

open opening the envelope, you realize that it contains a letter written on patterned stationary.

“dear y/n,

hey! it’s josuke!

i was really nervous to talk to you in person, so koichi suggested i write you a letter! koichi’s a smart guy, so.. here’s a letter!

i like you a lot, y/n. i mean, obviously, because we’re friends, but i like you. like that. i totally get it if you’re not into me that way, but.. i still want to invite you to tonio’s on friday after school, if that’s alright.

tysm!!! there's a few kinks and subjects i'm not super comfortable with, but i've never compiled a list because i'm one of those people who forgets everything about themselves the second they go to write it down haha.

i usually avoid angst. i write to escape the scary world, not make another lolol. despite the unhinged horny things i'm always writing, i'm a virgin irl so i'm very vanilla as far as i know/so far?? so there are some kinks/bdsm aspects i avoid because i'm nowhere near educated or experienced enough to write about them lolol. and then there are just the asks i don't take because of my own personal hang ups. someone once asked for a fic about sevika meeting reader's family-- but i don't have the relationship with my family where i'd feel comfortable bringing a girl home to all of them, so as cute as the suggestion was i didn't do it. same with suggestions about reader or sev being cops, reqs involving self harm, and kinky stuff i'm not into. but besides those few things, i can't think of much else that i've consistently avoided writing.

but i always encourage people to send asks, even if they're unsure if i'll like it! the worst that could happen is it won't be up my alley and i'll delete it-- i'll never post a req i don't like to, like, publicly shame you for asking or something.
