Alright, so I just read through that language barriers post of yours and had a Blast Tm, BUT! Now I have several thoughts that need to be spoken. Firstly, what with english being this really ancient language now, yn‘s basically got a free phd in hyrule, don‘t they?? Predestined for exploration because of their „excellent skills with the language used in the ruins and temples of old, as well as their familiarity with the mechanisms“ or something. The ruin researchers probably beg to have them in their team.

Secondly, apparently accents are really appealing to some people? The chain already finds yn‘s morning voice really hot, but how would they even react to the way they sort of mispronounce the words? Idk too much about how japanese sounds, but maybe they emphasize the consonants too much which makes them sound harsh all the time, or the opposite, too much emphasis on vowels and sounding very soft. Just… brainrot about rambling and not trying too hard to speak perfectly accurately being all it takes to have the boys smitten and kicking their feet.

Thirdly!! What about a yn that knows multiple languages? The chain tries their best to learn english, and then yn comes around the corner like SIKE. THAT‘S NOT ALL OF THEM. YOU WILL NEVER COMPREHEND IT ALL. (That‘s what I‘d do at least.)

the way Legend, Hyrule, Four, and Twi hover a little closer when you talk

Wild and Twi are practically like excited dogs whenever you speak, perking up when they hear your deep voice, u know, bc u tried randomly talking in the evenings abt nothing and watched them pavlov respond and look to you every time

even when u just started talking about the grass or some flowers

lowkey you accidentally almost mess up their dungeon exploring bc theyre just so used to your accented voice in their heads, just around them, or smth guiding them along, that when they all split up into smaller groups in the dungeon,

each Link pair accidentally starts following a man's voice echoing in the dungeon until they all accidentally converge in a main room and the Link equivalent of the point spiderman meme happens with you in the center with Time, who had been your dungeon buddy (he's laughing at them as every Link goes a little red after realizing they just followed you unconciously)

ur favorite thing to do is leaning down to whisper in each of the pointed hylian ears randomly, just talking about mundane or random things and watching it twitch, some trying to stay still like Time/Twi/Wars/Wild, while others leap away like u burned them lmao Legend/Hyrule/Four, and Sky managing to do both, trying to maintain composure before he inevitably breaks out all red and hides in his hands lmao

So I had this idea for a sick!Dazai fic (that I'm honestly too tired to write dhehee), and who else is better to brainstorm it with than my fellow Dazai whump enthusiast? :D

Based on my own experience of being sick for the past week, I forgot how awful it can get. It sucks. You're feverish, your nose is either runny or super blocked, your throat hurts, you get headaches, you're lethargic 80% of the time, all that stuff. But what sucked the most for me was how hot my skin felt. Like, clothes were so uncomfortable to wear from the sweat, especially since it's still summer around here.

So imagine putting bandages into account as well?

Yep, awful.

So I present you with a scenario: Teen!Dazai in his office, has taken over paper duty (that Mori knows he isn't gonna complete anyway) because of his fever. He feels gross, to say the least. Flushed and hazy, a little nauseous and sleepy. But his skin- his skin is scorching, and there is no way for it to disperse that heat because it can't breathe. He endures it for as long as he can until he just can't.

In his haze, he scrambles to tear his bandages off, loosen his tie, and decides that he will lie on the cold floor shirtless. The air conditioner isn't enough. No one is there to stop him.

Until Chuuya barges in without knocking as usual (to discus the paperwork he also knows Dazai isn't going to finish) and stumbles onto the scene.

Dazai doesn't even acknowledge him, has already taken off the bandages around his eye and is halfway through tearing off the ones around his neck. His clothes are disheveled as he loosens them and looks like he's about to take them off.

Chuuya gapes for a solid second, before exclaiming with a blush-

"What the fuck?!"

He rushes over, trying not to look at Dazai's skin that's on display and stops him. He wraps him with Mori's oversized coat aggressively.

Dazai fights against him, exclaiming that he needs to lie on the floor. Chuuya doesn't get it, all that he knows is that Dazai is delirious, and even if he thinks it's a good idea to tear through his protective layer now, he'll definitely regret it later.

So Chuuya ties him with the coat and decides to take the paperwork to his place, along with a flailing Dazai on his shoulder.

I just wanna see Dazai giving Chuuya hell during treating him 😭 cuz even if cooling off is a good idea for a fever, not staying huddled in the warmth equates to chills and endless sneezes. Makes you feel even more awful. So it's gonna be a push and pull of Chuuya trying to warm Dazai up (in order to fight off the fever faster), and Dazai wanting to cool off (because he isn't used to being this warm and hates it), until they come up with a compromise somehow dgdhejndjd

Yeah, just a fun idea! :3 Feel free to expand on it hehe

UGH THE TENDER, FEVERISH SKIN UNDER THE BANDAGES ❤️‍🩹 where everything just feels like too much, i completely understand why Dazai (in his feverish delusion) would think removing the offending material would be the solution

Chuuya barging in and quickly going from 👁️👄👁️ to 😳🤬. i love that he goes into protective mode, thinking of how future Dazai will surely regret this course of action & putting measures in place to prevent that 🥺

Chuuya would wrap Dazai up like a sushi roll & carry him on his shoulder like a log back to his apartment, where he proceeds to lose the idgaf war & embrace his mother hen side (which he still denies exists)

meanwhile Dazai is kicking & fighting him every step of the way, acting more like a 5 year old than a mafia sub executive (he’s still only a kid sobs), even as he shivers with chills

until Chuuya manages to get a hand in his sweat soaked curls, gently carding through them. the coolness of his leather glove against Dazai’s overheated scalp makes Dazai go still… and then slump against the couch in a mixture of relief & exhaustion. Chuuya takes advantage of his compliance to make him agree to stop fighting him, & they spend the rest of the day resting on the couch, watching movies & playing video games (well. Chuuya plays. Dazai watches & points out all of Chuuya’s mistakes) 🩷🩷🩷

to start with i do think he’s drawn to people who are kind :3 on a deeper level, y’know? someone with an inherent sense of care or justice even if they don’t always seem like they do…. maybe especially if they don’t seem like they do?? i could see him falling hard for someone he can’t get a good read on. someone with a lot more to them than what meets the eye… he’d get captivated pretty quickly <3333

as for being a sorcerer or not!!! this one is tough because like …. with satoru and shoko i genuinely think they would be better off with a non-sorcerer. but i feel like maybe suguru is the opposite? 😭 he’d be overprotective either way but with a non-sorcerer it’s wayyyy worse . it could get a little… suffocating? infantilizing? he doesn’t mean any harm but i think his intense sense of duty would end up holding you both back. suguru needs someone he can see as an equal, someone he’ll trust to bear even a tiny bit of his burden, (even if he doesn’t want them to) and… with a non-sorcerer i doubt that’s possible. :’)

What would they do if the other woke in a manic state after a nightmare? omg... don't hurt/comfort me.,., OHHH NOOOOOOOOOO.,., so in my fics medic is gradually worrying more and more about how sniper is becoming less of a coworker/successful experiment and more of an.,,. object of affection... and i think it's important to medic that no matter how close he gets with someone, it's important that his Clinical Thoughts doesn't get mixed with his Emotional Thoughts and unfortunately sniper is in fact a delicious mixture of the two :(... HEHE.. but i think once they start dating and going to bed together, sniper's always the first to fall asleep. being cuddled up to medic just makes him so sleepy hehe!! but with sniper, medic has a hard time "leaving work at the office"., so once sniper's asleep he'll sometimes (carefully, quietly) check his vitals as discreetly as he can (ones he can without any equipment of course), specifically checking in on his heart. it's more about The Ritual of doing so than anything else (like "oh shit did i leave the oven on? better go double check" type of thing) except, you know, it's sniper's life. so medic will listen to sniper's heart and tell himself it's fine, he's fine, go to bed. but sometimes if he falls asleep worrying about it, he'll SWEAR he heard sniper's heart stop and jolt awake and press his ear to sniper's chest... only to hear the reliable thump thump thump... whew okay see! nothing to worry about! i don't think sniper has nightmares very often so i can see medic's Hyperactive Mind/Weird Sleeping Schedule making him more prone to them. when he gasps and jolts awake sniper instantly wakes up and is like "y'okay, pidge? sorry, did i squish you?" (even though it would be impossible for sniper to squish medic imo LOL) and medic takes a deep breath in through his nose and is like "no, aheh, i'm sorry my heart, i must have had a dream!" and pulls sniper close to him and sniper curls around him and is like "sleep, dovey." (said like a groggy "order") and medic nestles against him and is like "ja, ja, alright, alright,.," but his eyes open again and he presses his palm to sniper's skin... alright it's not too cold, not deathly cold like it was when it was fished out of that ocean water in new zealand and dumped in the morgue and- 14. How do their personalities compliment each other? How do they clash? OOHHH FUN ONE... i think they're a very fun ship because they can be written as Clashy OR Complimentary... both of them are capable of tenderness though only reserved for Very Few people... both are capable killers who can be (read: Not Exclusively) cold and cunning.., a really interesting dynamic for them for me personally is sniper's professional code vs medic's complete lack thereof and how it affects not only them individually, but how they interact with each other.... i think they're both mutually respectful of it but it's definitely a fun thing to think about!! i've touched on that in one of my mini fics for bushmed week that i wrote last year! of course i think they compliment each other because i think sniper needs someone who is a bit more Outgoing than he is to really show him how to have fun (and in medic's case, make mischief!) and let loose!! HEHE... 51. What’s a non verbal way they say I love you? What would they do if the other woke in a manic state after a nightmare? i hc that heavy has ptsd (and gets treatment from medic for it) and that he is actually quite the restless sleeper. he tries not to bother spy with it if he can, but spy is too receptive to just let heavy brush it off! spy is a night owl himself so he'll often lay in bed with heavy and rub his head or his back while he reads and heavy falls right to sleep! if heavy has a nightmare, spy is awake and right there, ready to comfort him. he asks if he wants to talk about it, or if he needs him to go and get medic. spy always makes sure there's a glass of water and a snack on the bedside table (i think they're both bed time/night time snackers! hehe) if heavy wants it, but usually he's just glad spy is there with him. he focuses on spy running his thumb over the shell of his ear and spy Volunteers to read to him (one of heavy's russian copies of his favorite books, but reads it in french; something heavy loves) and lets heavy cut in with anecdotes about translation and language while spy hums lovingly... <3 14. How do their personalities compliment each other? How do they clash? tbh i think they have very complimentary personalities. level-headed, rational, very calculated people. i have no clue where the "heavy is dumb" trope came from but i hate it soooo much. i think they're also on the same footing intellectually as well as street-smarts and mercenary capability. while their skillset is Very Opposite i'd say they're still mutually knowledgeable and very emotionally intelligent, too. spy's a little more thickheaded than heavy is, but i think spy needs someone who can cup his face and be like hey. listen and give him earnest advice when he needs it. which is often. because spy is the world's most grand supreme darling little girlfailure and i think heavy sees that but also respects spy enough to know it's more complicated than whatever "surface level reasons" spy has for doing what he does! 51. What’s a non verbal way they say I love you? ah! they love leaving each other notes. it's the linguists in them! spy leaves heavy little notes tied to sasha with a ribbon and heavy stashes notes in spy's disguise kit or in the book he knows he's going to pick up later that day. heavy thinks it's fun to "communicate like a spy does" and spy likes the cheekification of "communicating like a spy does"!! it's playful and very flirty for both of them and they often play games of trying to catch one another in the act of placing the notes!! HEHE.., they have yet to catch each other though!!! >:)

Madoka's voice is teary and frail, as if she's about to break into a fit of sobs. She feels so small. And she hates that she feels that way about Homura, the girl who did so much for her sake... even now, the memories of those times are hazy and distant - she tries to grab onto them desperately; but she's sure that they'll soon disappear again.

But it hurts. She can't stop it hurting. And she thinks what hurts the most is that Homura doesn't trust her, not really. What does she fear would happen if Madoka remembered fully who she's supposed to be? Does she think that she won't listen to her, that she won't understand - because she can't, she's too weak and naive for that? She doesn't remember what it was, but Madoka remembers making a decision, one that she made by her very self for the first time, but now, she's not allowed to do a thing.

Maybe she made a mistake? Maybe it's one that Homura's desperately trying to fix - Madoka understands that, really, she does. But she just wishes... that she would've talked with her first. Because Madoka wants to believe that she would've listened. She doesn't want Homura to suffer, doesn't want her to believe that everything is her fault! But in the end...

The weak, ignorant Madoka is all that she'll ever be. To Homura, it seems like that's enough.

"I know." Maybe it's time for a different approach. For a moment, Madoka stills, even if she continues to tremble.

"I'm not scared of you." ( a lie. ) "So... so Homura, please... can't we talk about this...?"

Test Drive, Forbidden Friendship, and Romantic Flight are near and dear to my heart ofc, but they ARE httyd. Hmmm, I feel like of all my fics, Arc Business is just the least interesting at a glance. It's not Bad Batch, it's just Echo, but I have a reallyyyyyyy long doc of ideas for that one. I just need Fives and Echo to be besties again and there are SO many hurt/comfort tropes I’ve thought up for them!! A good amount of it is already written out, but there's just not much motivation since I have a lot of ideas that would just do better. And I definitely try not to write for anyone else, it's my fic and I can post it if I want lol, but it would just be cool to see it take off a bit more :) (maybe i should just post that next chapter.... aghhh but i have so many wips rn 🫠🫠)

I answered this one for Tanwyn, but yeah, On the Reg just deserves so much better! It was my first fic, I wasn't expecting anyone to ever read it and honestly, most of it was written in like a couple sittings. I didn't do a ton with the concept, it was a lot of interactions with no missions or anything, and while that was totally fine, I just think it could be better! And again, some of them were... REALLY out of character at the beginning lol. Hunter is literally just *there* for most of it. (this poor guy, i just do not understand him enough lol)

The whole theme of the fic, Echo's need to SLOW DOWN SIR please just chill for one second ahem, definitely isn't something he's going to realize easily, and some of the others aren't gonna have a lot of patience for that. In this case, Echo is being particularly stupid avoiding certain things, and this only ends up making it all worse. Don't wanna spoil too much but uh, there's definitely things being lost in the tension rn
