Ok now let me ramble: first of all, it’s hot.

Second of all, one thing I absolutely adore is adding specific details on my characters; that includes scars (!), birthmarks/freckles, nose/eye/body shapes, and yes, body hair.

The human body is amazing and I love to explore it aestheticically, which coincidentally includes a lot of happy trails — also because it’s just such a funky little detail to add. I’ve taken a good few teenage years of accepting my body (which includes the stomach area and body hair), and I like to embrace it a bit more in my art because now I see it as a muse instead of a burden.

i think he’d be so incredibly touched if you showed him poems inspired by him because he’s never really deemed himself worthy of anything, especially art, and to know you love him deeply enough that you feel the need to write about him would make him really emotional. would clear his throat and try to look confident but his hands would be shaking so bad as he grips the little notebook you write your poems in. he would definitely feel a little overwhelmed in a way but never negatively, i think he’d be hit by the realization that the love and devotion he feels for you is fully reciprocated <3

in human form, he has scales in a few places

down the side of his hips to the top of his thighs and a few straglers on his ankles

his scales are blue and green. they're iridescent as well, super pretty

the closer to his chest, the lighter his scales are but there's still some dark ones around his hips that are more like a navy blue

his fins are probably on the greener side as well, and im thinking more translucent too

i looked at some fanart, i think his tail would be more on the "capey" side as well

you have jars of shells and sand, some sand different colors from certain beaches he's visited.

cove even brought you your own string of pearls, and you have mini towers of different colored sea glass

so many gifts that you have a whole book case for them and even then some things spill into other areas of the house

whether or not you met cove at a young age, i think you start to understand what all his different chirps and sounds mean

like a few quick chirps are a sign of happiness

i even imagine he purrs like a cat so he'll put your hand to his heart and let you feel the rumble of his chest

or he'll nuzzle your cheek and you can hear it in your ear <33

generally for mlp ships, i only have a few that i actively go out of my way to avoid (not going to name). im ambivalent or positive toward most of them, and if someone portrays two charas in a compelling way, then im usually game. as for polyships, it's not something im interested in exploring myself, but i dont mind seeing other people's art / fics / whatever of it ^^

though. i will say that there is one. specific mlp ship that has brainrot levels near to sciset for me but. i havent posted abt it too much yet lol.

And so I return lol. Anyway, I came here to talk about Honey and Tangerines because I read it over the Summer and man does it hit hard.

The dynamics between the characters are so ashdhfjgjt- but most of all I think it's the reunion between them that really just makes me happy. It's so sweet. Wil not unpacking all his shit is so in character for him btw. I remember audibly laughing at that. Like of course not, why would he? The way Tommy's art is described is actually so fun to imagine. It's such a unique sounding style and the aesthetic of it? Oooh. If you don't mind me asking, how'd you come up with the idea of his art being that way?

The dancing scenes?? The happiness of the characters practically radiates from your words. They honestly remind me of one night with a younger cousin of mine where we danced around in her room for awhile. They really do create that vibe of happiness and bonding between the characters. Agh.

Also the friend group. Love all them. Such cool friends. I need a friend group like this, this is my goal. lollll The playlist for this fic goes so hard. It was my go to playlist for doing my hw when school started again lol. I took so many songs from it that I listen to all the time now. Not only that, but the songs match the vibes of the fic so well??? Man. Anyway, my point is, this fic is so fucking good in all aspects. I love it sm. <3 - 🪷

I'll be honest I don't remember exactly how I came up with tommy's art designs? I think I was just trying to imagine what kind of art he would do and I wanted it to be a bit 'outside of the box' and also match some kind of character representations etc etc so I thought of him doing object head type drawings and really liked it. I'm not an artist myself but I get ideas for drawings a LOT which is very frustrating for me since they can only live in my head unless I find a way to translate them into words. I don't have the patience to learn how to draw (the few times I've tried I've gotten really frustrated when it doesn't look how I want it to because I'm very much a perfectionist about it) so this is how the art ideas I have manifests lol

ahhh I'm so glad you can feel the happiness in the dancing scenes. it was incredibly self indulgent on my end to include so many of those but I'm allowed a little self indulgence from time to time. I feel like one of the happiest experiences you can have is doing a silly little dance with a loved one

(here's a secret: I also wish I had a friend group like this irl lol this was wish fulfillment for me)

i can’t think of a better word to describe you other than underrated. your writing is phenomenal. you manage to set the tone in a way i cannot explain. and your range. oh my god your range. going from writing the hottest scene imaginable in one post to something so creepy it gives me chills the next. i love it. i enjoy yandere content but for some reason, i tend to be really picky about it compared to other genres i like. i’m especially picky about yandere content with sexual content. which is something i think you manage to do perfectly. i don’t even know if i can explain this either but it doesn’t feel out of place or exaggerated, it blends in with the writing. you read a yandere story where it just comes out of no where and you kind of experience some sort of whiplash from the instant change of tone? that doesn’t happen in your work. you escalate stakes in a way that feels natural, in a way that doesn’t disrupt the story. maybe i just sound like one of those pretentious critics who say a whole lot of nothing but act like they’re an expert of the arts. bit i’m trying to say i just think you really excel in story telling and fluid story progression. and everything you write satisfies my picky pretentious reader needs

HELLO!!! gosh im so bad at using tumblr aside from reblogging so this has been a long time coming but i came to say U R A POET!! i found your acc when u had like 2 ? fics out and i remember reading “if i fell through the floor i would keep falling” when it had 90 notes and feeling like someone had put their hand in my chest and ripped my heart out…. i was so confused how it didnt have 100000000 notes?!?! i am still confused now. it’s some of the most beautiful writing ive read (& i don’t even really read for geto so it was such a random find but i am so grateful). my favorite line was “he figures he can give you this one thing, at least.” there are so many heartbreaking ones in that piece but this one was especially so. it’s crazy to me how well you painted the scenes, it really felt like i could visually See every moment.
