BCS has a fun way of looping in every character it can from BrBa, and while this is satisfying in the short-term (exciting moments of recognition, dramatic irony), I can't help but feel this tactic would be better put to work if it gave space to the lesser developed characters.

Mike and Gus are obviously 'draws' and favourites for BrBa fans, but we see so much of Tyrus and Victor drifting in the background of BCS — it feels like a huge missed opportunity!

All we get to know about Victor and Tyrus are their landing points, their fates. And here BCS appears with the premise of opening up pasts, and the space to give them histories! Motives, ambitions, secrets! Tragic irony! We see Tyrus as cold, silent, and imposing with the cartel. How does that translate to his home life? Is he feared, shunned, self-isolated, or even forgotten? And Victor wasn't always overzealous, overstepping boundaries — if he was, he wouldn't have found his place in Gustavo's crew. So when he reached that breaking point in "Box Cutter," where was he coming from?

Given BCS's interest in taking characters from point A to Z — showing the descent of a 'hero' into a 'villain' in a light that is both humanizing and damning — you'd think the writers would jump to illuminate these enigmatic and promisingly dynamic characters, rather than leave them in the dark.

So here is what this unfinished one inspired me!

Lalo stepped from behind the tiny abandoned house he knew so well. So many cold bodies laid under the dust. But he wouldn't let the only one he cared for join the other souls.

He fired, as soon as Gus Fring crossed his vision, and the man behind this whole mess fell to the ground, a bullet through his head. Guns were out the next half second. Two pointing at Lalo. Three at Victor and Tyrus.

"Leave." Lalo's voice left no place for negotiation.

The two men, faces tense, climbed back into their vehicle and left in a cloud of dust. Lalo finally looked down at the man still kneeling before Bolsa. Nacho was looking back at him over his shoulder. His stunning brown eyes were wide opened. His beautiful face stained with dried blood. What a shame.

"No deberías haber hecho esto." You shouldn't have done this

Lalo looked at Bolsa, and couldn't be any less bothered by who's body it was, laying in the dust. This life was done for. There was nothing to change what happened. Lalo would have killed him sooner or later, he was sure of it. Bolsa stomped away, getting his phone out, cooking a fake explanation to give Eladio to cover his ass.

Lalo's attention briefly flied to his cousins and his tío. He exchanged a long look with Hector, who's eyes were still glaring daggers. He wanted the kneeling man to die too.

Lalo approached Nacho. He was breathing fast, shallow, eyelashes fluttering imperceptibly as not a single word seemed to pass his lips. Lalo wasn't really expecting any. He didn't need any. He could read his other half like an open book right this instant. The shock, fear and guiltiness.

Crouching behind him, Lalo freed Nacho, noticing the fresh blood on his fingers a second too late. Nacho had already brought his hands before him, his shoulders hunched forward. Lalo looked over him to see the younger man looking down at his bloody hand, a piece of glass cutting his skin as he kept squeezing it.

Lalo went to his feet, and gathered Nacho's arms to pull him backward, his other hand guiding the precious head of his lover against his shoulder. This brilliant mind he loved so dearly. He cradled him tenderly, fingers stroking his shirt and his head, as Nacho's breath hitched as he tried to contain obvious sobs.

"Esta bien, Nachito." Lalo murmured in his ear "Yo te perdono, mi amor. Te perdono."

Still hidden on top of a rock, Mike looked through his lenses as Nacho let go of the bloody piece of glass, and even with the distance the tears shining in his eyes were visible. Mike sighed, pulling away from the edge, collecting his weapon. He had hoped of a better future for this lad. But he knew the next time Death will be on its way to gather the poor soul, he wouldn't be alone.

aapi heritage month headcanons pt. 3 !!!

just in time for s3 of dndads, let’s get into it! this one will probs be a lot but so much has happened in the past year 😭

- taylor LOVES chinese new year, he looks forward to it every year as the favorite (only) child and he eats all the dumplings he could ever eat and gets tons of red envelopes

- cassandra and morgan become best friends/mother-daughter relationship vibes post-doodler, like they are the most badass and cool women in the world and i do think taylor grows to love morgan so much and even though his relationships with nick/glenn are strained, at least he has the best mom and grandma

- as a voice actor for anime/cartoons i think cassandra really did fall in love w the art of anime and i’d love for her to guest at a con (make her the j michael tatum of her world PLEASE) and taylor gets a free ticket to weeb out as much as he wants <3

- in my heart glenn is trying his best, like he really wants that closeness (haha) and i think now post-doodler it's like literally what started as a father/son duo of him and nick now is genuinely a huge (kinda fucked up) family that is trying to mend itself and i do think it starts with chinese takeout !!!

- sidenote i think the close/foster/swifts etc are a great example of how freddie has subverted asian stereotypes fr and also how a family stuck in an absent/neglectful cycle has the ability to come together again

- the mending includes hermie too, hermie definitely deserves something more in his life and the chance get to be a kid w a home in the form of a big family w his bio dads (his normal parents are invited too) (and i also love the idea of normal being like 'grandpa henry! this is the guy!' and hermie being an honorary oak would be so cute 😭)

- hermie went and saw joy ride (2023) bc it was marketed as a comedy and came out bawling his eyes out from that one scene y’all adoptees know what im talking about

- tbh thinking about taylor's closeness w his mom and francis's w kimon wan literally asian moms are holding this show together

- the farnsworth’s are thai and german and they came to peachyville at a young age to give their newborn son a better life very starting nuclear family vibes, ed definitely learned thai for her, and now their son is a bowling champ!

- francis farnsworth and taylor swift are lowkey the spectrum of asian upbringing where it's like midwest asians vs socal asians 😳🤭 they live in different worlds

- also tony collette is 0.0001% asian (chinese) and tyrus luo either DEFINITELY knows which is why he puts up w all the bullshit tony does or tony is determined to make sure that tyrus NEVER finds out ever

- they have a 'throwback' silent movie night at the drive-in and they show a meryl streep film and literally everyone falls in love w him 🥰

Since both once mentioned how good the other would look in their respective outfits, Tyrus naturally gifts his lover the sun-protecting Cloak of Dragomir (since he is the only one who can wear that dusty rag with grace), while Astarion fulfils his dream of putting silver elven chainmail on his lover. + braiding his beautiful white hair at every opportunity. After all, his necromancer husband should be properly protected - while being as pretty as possible.

This scenario is definitely what will happen at the end of @asterdurge fanfic Perfect Slaughter! I cannot be convinced otherwise!!

Stranger Things version of Tyrus (New Will Byers crackship)

So I've been thinking of a possible pairing for Will if Byler doesn't happen and the Duffers do want to give Will a BF in S5. One of candidates I've thought of was someone on Basketball (and I'm going spefically with Andy since he's biggest living member left). I know Greatwise has become somewhat prominent crackship but personally I don't think the idea of that relationship is interesting and pairing Will with another DnD fan feels like lazy (and also actor age-gap is a decade, unlike Andy which is just a few years).

Now some might be unaware of ship a refer to in the title of this post, Tyrus is canon gay ship of Disney Channel Andi Mack. I've always really enjoyed the dynamic of the ship which consists of a gay Jewish nerd who's struggling with his sexuality and crush on his male bff who ends falling for a Jock who starts as a antagonist in another storyline and who's ususally a jerk to everyone but has a heart gold that is first shown with his treatment of the other boy (Cyrus) . Definitely sounds fitting with Will's story and so far Andy seems like a jerk but he's flat enough of character you can give him a redemption arc and reveal he's actually good guy underneath (I mean witchhunt does make sense from basketball team's perspective especially after Patrick's death). He also works as kinda of dark foil to Mike, someone who's a snarky shit but taken up to eleven (accidentally ST pun lol) due to lack of genuine friendship ( except for Patrick giving good angst opportunity) or even shittier parents.

Andy does seem like he'll have a role in S5 but unfortunately, he'll probably play the role of generic psycho bully but I honestly even if we don't get this crackship, hope they give him some depth. Hell if they want a psycho bully, just bring back Troy. Could even start this ship with a resuce romance moment of Andy standing up to Troy for Will.

Finally tell me what pontential ship names sound the best:Wandy, Andill, or Willdy. Or something more creative like BasketballCleric

Oof, it's been a while since I've done one of these so you'll have to excuse me if I'm a lil rusty!

• Their first official date is dinner at The Spoon and bowling. It's supposed to be chill, but Cyrus absolutely has a mini meltdown to Buffy and Andi right before. It takes until he sees TJ to calm down and remember it's just TJ.

• They hold hands under the table the entire time and get so absorbed in their conversation they almost forget to order food (baby taters is of course the main event).

• Afterwards they go bowling and play a surprisingly competitive game. TJ kinda loves how excited Cyrus gets when he's winning. It's cute.

• When TJ gets his first car the first thing he does is plan a surprise date to a drive-in theatre. They break down half way there and end up having a bizarre picnic of movie snacks out beneath the stars while they wait for roadside assistance. It didn't go as planned, but Cyrus maintains it's one of the most romantic dates they've ever had, especially since TJ lent him his jacket when it got chilly.

• When they're older they have a set Date Night™ every week (scheduling is a nightmare otherwise). At first they tried to plan exciting new things every time (rock climbing was a mistake and they ended up in the ER) but they've since learned the best dates are the ones where they get to spend hours talking and snuggling up together. They've yet to run out of things to discuss. Other couples keep telling them it'll happen, but Cyrus is pretty sure he and TJ could talk about the freakin weather and still have it be the most absorbing thing in the world. They just need each other and they're set.

• The worst date of their lives is also the best. Everything that can go wrong does. It's the middle of the week, they're both tired, work is hectic, the lease on their apartment is almost up and they still haven't managed to find a new one. TJ burns dinner by accident and gets so annoyed he kicks the oven. It breaks.

• Now, while TJ still has his moments, it's been a long time since Cyrus has seen him react to frustration like that. He's a little alarmed by the reaction, so he loops his arms around him, hooks a chin over his shoulder, and tells him that the charred lumps of misery are just "extra flavour, really, I bet it'll taste great!"

• TJ can't not laugh at that.

• Cyrus heads over to the refrigerator to dig out leftovers instead. It's pretty barren, but when he turns around to ask if TJ just wants to get takeout he finds his boyfriend down on one knee.

• Turns out TJ was frustrated that the night he was planning to propose hadn't gone perfectly. It didn't matter in the end though, all he needed was Cyrus.

• After fifteen years, two breakups (they were angsty teenagers and both times it lasted like... A Minute), and roughly five hundred or so dates, Cyrus says yes.

• Best date ever.

A) There’s always a chance, and I wouldn’t be happy. I’m afraid of this, but at least Byler is endgame!

C) I don’t think that’s possible. The Duffers would never do this. There’s too much romantic momentum. This would be homophobic too.
