Tyrone William Griffin Jr. (born April 13, 1982) known professionally as Ty Dolla Sign (stylized as Ty Dolla $ign or Ty$), is a singer. He first gained recognition for his guest appearance on rapper YG’s 2010 single “Toot It and Boot It”, which entered the Billboard Hot 100 as his first minor hit. He signed with Atlantic Records in 2012, and Taylor Gang Entertainment.
He saw further mainstream recognition for his debut commercial extended play (EP), Beach House EP. Its release was supported by his 2013 single “Paranoid”, which marked his first entry—at #29—on the Billboard Hot 100 as a lead artist. Its 2014 follow-up, “Or Nah” received sextuple platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. His debut studio album, Free TC peaked at #14 on the Billboard 200 and was supported by the platinum-certified singles “Blasé” and “Saved”. His second album, Beach House 3 reached #11 on the Billboard 200, while his third album, Featuring Ty Dolla Sign reached #4. He has released the collaborative albums MihTy, Cheers to the Best Memories, and Vultures 1, the latter became his first to debut atop the Billboard 200.
He has known for his frequent guest appearances on songs by other artists; these include the Billboard Hot 100-top 40 singles “Work from Home”, “Swalla”, “Hot Girl Summer”, “Hit Different”, “WusYaName”, and “Psycho”, the latter became his first to peak the chart and received a diamond certification by the RIAA. He has been credited with songwriting and production work for other artists, most notably on the singles “Loyal”, “Post to Be”, and “FourFiveSeconds”. He has received five Grammy Award nominations.
He was born in Los Angeles. He is the son of musician Tyrone Griffin, a member of the band Lakeside. He has said that through his father’s involvement in Lakeside, he met singers like Earth, Wind & Fire and Prince as a child, which led to his love and interest in soul music. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, he was a gang member, being part of the Bloods, while his brother was in the rival gang of the Crips.
He has a daughter, Jailynn Griffin (born 2005). #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

Turang's WO 1B Helps Brewers Sweep Twins.
Twins 7 Brewers 8 W-Peguero (4-4) L-Duran (2-6)
The Minnesota Twins had one bad inning that costed them a game last night. They looked to get back on track this afternoon in Milwaukee. The Twins were ready from the start as Eddie Julien and Donovan Solano started the game with singles. Carlos Correa hit a sac fly to center to plate the game's first run. The Brewers bounced right back in the bottom of the first as Christian Yelich singled and William Contreras walked. With two outs, Andruw Monasterio plated a pair with a single to left and was thrown out at second base. Milwaukee had a 2-1 lead after an inning of play. The Twins answered in the third as Carlos Correa lined a two-out single to center and Royce Lewis smacked a Corbin Burnes fastball out to left for a two-run homer. The lead was short-lived as William Contreras belted a Kenta Maeda fastball out to right for a solo homer. This tied the game at three after three frames. The Twins would rally again in the fourth as Ryan Jeffers led-off with a double to left and Michael Taylor hammered a Corbin Burnes offering out to left. The two-run homer put the Twins up 5-3. Kyle Farmer added a solo homer off Burnes in the sixth and the Twins had a three-run lead. The Brewers would have another sixth inning rally as Carlos Santana singled to center and Willy Adames belted an Emilio Pagan fastball out to center. Milwaukee got within a run and Tyrone Taylor smoked a Caleb Thielbar fastball out to left in the seventh. This tied the game at six and the bulllpens held up throughout regulation. The Twins would plate a run in the tenth when Ryan Jeffers hit a slow roller down the third base line. A run scored on the play and the Twins led 7-6. Willy Adames started the bottom of the tenth with a single to center and Carlos Santana came into score on a bobbled ball by Michael Taylor. With two outs, Brice Turang beat out an infield single to win the game. The Brewers swept the Twins this week in Milwaukee.
-Final Thoughts- Kenta Maeda did a solid job as he threw five good innings. He gave up three runs on four hits with two walks and six strikeouts. Emilio Pagan allowed two runs in the sixth, Caleb Thielbar gave up a run in the seventh, and Griffin Jax put up a zero in the eighth. Jhoan Duran got five outs and allowed two unearned runs to take the loss. Max Kepler and Ryan Jeffers led the way with two hits today. The Twins hit 2-for-10 with runners in scoring position and left seven men on base. The team will return home to host the Rangers tomorrow night. Andrew Heaney faces Pablo Lopez in Game 1.

May I say something to you to give you a true knowledge of yourself and life
Man in the full knowledge of himself is a superb and supreme creature of creation
When man becomes possessor of the knowledge of himself
He becomes the master of his environment
I don't, feel, pain anymore
Guess what, baby? I feel free
Scoop!
Nothing hurts me anymore
Guess what, baby? I feel free
I'm so complete anymore
Guess what, baby? I feel free
And you know damn well
I felt the chains on me locked in a cell
(You know I'm free, yeah) Ah!
You should quit your job to this
Hold up, that'll politic
Ooh, one day they hate you
Next day they love you
I'm still yellin', "Fuck you"
I could never trust (free)
I feel free, I feel free
I feel free
I don't feel pain anymore
Guess what, babe? I am free
Yeah, nothing hurts me anymore
Guess what, babe? I am free
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah
Feeling out of my past life
Died and came back twice
Now I'm free
I don't feel pain anymore
Hmm, guess what, babe? I am free
I feel free, I feel free
I feel free, I feel free

Teams: Manly's axing after show-stopping game

The NRL's form player of the year, Tom Trbojevic, is set to make his return for the Sea Eagles after missing round 23 with a facial injury.Last week, Trbojevic was ruled out as a precaution amid conflicting reports the superstar fullback had damaged a pre-existing facial fracture.

Tom Trbojevic (Getty)While serious injury concerns were put to bed, the Sea Eagles took no chance, resting their talisman who is set to make an emphatic return against the Bulldogs this week.Meanwhile, star teammate Moses Suli has been dropped from Des Hasler's squad despite putting up a stellar man of the match performance last week. Suli has been dropped to reserves, replaced by Brad Parker who slots straight into the centres.

Moses Suli. (Getty)Elsewhere, it's tough luck for the Tigers who have the unfortunate task of taking on the Panthers without standout star Adam Doueihi who has been sidelined with a knee injury. To make matters harder for Michael Maguire's men, star winger Brian To'o has made an early return from injury and will line up on Sunday evening.Meanwhile, the Raiders have dumped halfback Sam Williams after back-to-back critical losses to the Storm and Manly.

“I’ve been blessed with the gift of collaborating,” wrote Ty Dolla $ign on an Instagram post last month. “Not every artist can collaborate with another artist and have the final product be something incredible.” For any other artist, that might come off as a weird flex, but okay. For Ty Dolla $ign, it’s basic science. This year, like the five years before it, the musician born Tyrone William Griffin Jr. was everywhere, singing the hooks on SZA’s comeback single “Hit Different” and on Megan Thee Stallion’s instant-classic “Hot Girl Summer,” while also jumping on tracks with Nicki Minaj, serpentwithfeet, Juicy J, and Skrillex. Whether you know it or not, the Los Angeles native has been the voice of hip-hop and R&B for the last five years, while also releasing two albums of his own. Behind the scenes, he’s somehow managed to be even more prolific, writing and producing songs for Kanye West, Ariana Grande, Post Malone, and just about anyone else with a platinum record. He is, above all else, a creature of the studio.
On his third album, the cheekily titled Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, many of those artists return the favor. Over the course of 25 tracks, everyone from FKA twigs to Kid Cudi to Future seamlessly enter Ty’s universe and contribute to what amounts to a sweeping encapsulation of what pop music is and can be in our current moment. A short while ago, Ty Dolla $ign found himself once again in the studio, this time alongside Justin Timberlake, where the two artists took a break from making music to discuss the mystery of doing just that.
———
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE: I don’t think people know that I’ve known you since the Ty and Kory days, which is crazy.
TY DOLLA $IGN: I wish I had those videos of us freestyling and shit. JT can rap, y’all.
TIMBERLAKE: [Laughs] Nah man. Can you tell the readers about our Kory connection?
DOLLA $IGN: I think it was 2004 when I went to New York and met up with my homeboy at the time. He introduced me to this dude named Kory, who was at his apartment in Brooklyn somewhere, and I walked in and he was recording, making songs. I thought his voice was dope. He reminded me of Raphael Saadiq. He was like, “Yo, just play me shit.” I ended up doing some joints with him, and then we lost contact. And then I ended up going to the Sundance Film Festival where I saw him again, so we met up with their other homeboy Parker at the time, who is now one of my best friends. And he had a studio at his crib, so me and Kory recorded what ended up being a tape. And somehow this dude Venus [Brown] heard about us, and he brought us in the studio with you and Will.I.Am, and we ended up doing another tape, and I got features from big artists, and fucking drops from JT and Will. And then I remember we were in London at some point, and you told me you weren’t going to work with Venus no more. And then after that, me and Kory were trying to like do songs, but he was like, “Yo, if this shit don’t work, I’m going to have to move on.”
TIMBERLAKE: Kory said that?
DOLLA $IGN: Yeah. He had life to go do. And I’m like, alright. So he ended up doing what he did. And I linked up with YG and Mustard through my big homie Big B, and we started making songs. And then from there, full circle. Now we’re back in the studio.
TIMBERLAKE: That was right before “Sexy Back.”
DOLLA $IGN: You were telling me you were about to drop it. And I was like, “This shit is hard.”

Milwaukee Brewers-Minnesota Twins Series Preview
6.13.23-Corbin Burnes RHP (5-4) 3.36 ERA Vs. Pablo Lopez RHP (3-3) 4.25 ERA
6.14.23-Colin Rea RHP (3-3) 4.47 ERA Vs. Bailey Ober RHP (3-3) 2.61 ERA
The Brewers At A Glance- The Brewers have fallen on hard times with four straight losses. The A’s of all teams swept the Brewers at Miller Park over the weekend. The Brewers make their annual trip to Minneapolis for a quick two-game set. Owen Miller has been the team’s most consistent hitter with a .315 average and nineteen RBI’s. Andruw Monasterio has provided solid defense and a .273 average. Rowdy Tellez leads the power department with twelve homers. Jesse Winker has missed time with a neck injury, but is on a rehab assignment with Nashville. Tyrone Taylor has missed time with an elbow injury. Eric Lauer (shoulder), Wade Miley (lat), and Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) are all out at the moment. The Twins will face their best starter in Corbin Burnes on Tuesday. Julio Teheran is turning back the clock with a 1.48 ERA in 24 innings of work. The Milwaukee bullpen has a 4.17 ERA, which is twentieth in baseball. Closer Devin Williams has allowed just one run over 21 2/3 innings. Bryse Wilson and Joel Payamps have been solid relievers for the Brewers.
The Twins At A Glance- The Twins had an odd road trip. They got swept by the Rays then took the first two from the Jays in dramatic fashion. The bullpen was depleted, so Emilio Pagan blew the game in the series finale. The Twins sit at (33-33) and return home with a 1.5 game lead in the Central. They will have a ten-game homestand to get right. Joey Gallo hit a home run on Sunday in his rehab assignment for the Saints. I’m thinking either Kyle Garlick or maybe Trevor Larnach will get optioned to St. Paul to make room. Byron Buxton could be back during this homestand. Kenta Maeda might make one more start for the Saints before returning. Caleb Thielbar was put back on the injured list with an oblique strain. Royce Lewis was 7-for-8 in the last two games in Toronto and is now hitting .317. Donovan Solano is hitting .313 in the month of June. The Twins need to get Jorge Lopez right. They only have Jhoan Duran, Griffin Jax, and Brock Stewart as very high leverage options. Jovani Moran has been used at times late in games with Caleb Thielbar out. Jose De Leon has been gaining more confidence from Rocco Baldelli as well.
What To Watch For- The Brewers took three of four games from the Twins in 2022. They won the opener at Target Field then Jose Miranda hit the walk-off homer in the series finale. Milwaukee then won both games at Miller Park. Pablo Lopez is (1-1) with a 3.19 ERA in five starts against the Brewers. Corbin Burnes is (2-1) with a 2.45 ERA in four games versus the Twins. Colin Rea and Bailey Ober have not faced their opponents in their career. Tuesday’s match-up bodes well for Corbin Burnes, who will rack up some strikeouts against the Twins. The Twins have been striking out at a high rate and Burnes is a strikeout pitcher. The Twins should get some guys back during this homestand. This should be an interesting match-up of two teams in the playoff hunt.

Royal Irish Regiment soldiers who died on 19th October
1914
2nd Bn
10766 Private Dempsey. Interred Rue-Petillon Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, France.
10824 Private John O'Neill, New Ross, Co. Wexford. Interred Vieille-Chapelle New Military Cemetery, Lacouture, France.
6999 Bandsman David Kelly, Kirkbride, Cumberland. Commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Belgium. An unusual commemoration this, as Kelly’s date of death seems to be uncertain. 19 October 1914 appears to be the last date on which he was known to be alive.
