haha you can see GRRM having a lot of fun with it all through ASOIAF once you’re looking out for it, this from Arya’s TWOW chapter in particular….. like here Bobono is reciting his lines from the play ‘The Bloody Hand’ which is obviously about Tyrion, and it’s literally just a play on Richard III’s opening soliloquy:

“The seven-faced god has cheated me,” he said. “My noble sire he made of purest gold, and gold he made my siblings, boy and girl. But I am formed of darker stuff, of bones and blood and clay, twisted into this rude shape you see before you.” MERCY, TWOW

where compared to RIII's soliloquy (cropping the parts where RIII makes veiled reference to his brothers bc that's harder to parse out of context, but even without that it's obvious):

Dany rubbed her eyes, looking around. She was in the bottom of the pyramid, where the dragons were kept chained now. She had indeed fallen asleep, it seems, curled up against Drogon's side. The big black beast snorted as Tyrion approached, but did not move. "I suppose I did. I worried they felt alone down here, locked up. They should be free, but..." But it was too dangerous to let them roam here. She would not have another fatality on her hands.

Every time he was in the presence of Daenerys' dragons, Tyrion could scarcely take his eyes off of the great beasts, not yet fully grown... and yet they were massive enough. It was almost hard for him to believe that it was still yet possible for them to grow to an even larger size than what they were now. When Tyrion was much younger, he had set fires in the dungeons and pretend that it was dragon fire. The little lion lord had even dreamt of riding one someday... it was still hard for him to believe that they truly existed, not in myth, legend or history, but right before him now and it was Daenerys that had made it possible.

Tyrion paused about ten feet away from the scene that was before him, not wanting to come any closer without permission. Drogon didn't seem to mind his presence, but he knew that he was still somewhat unfamiliar with him. Admittedly, he felt bad for her dragons as well, after all he had been locked up for a time after Joffrey had been murdered, so he knew what that was like in a way.

"You take good care of them." He assured her, as he edged a little closer to Daenerys, "They are meant to fly high above and stretch their wings," he paused for a moment as if drifting back to one of his dreams and then added, "perhaps they will get their chance to be free soon enough." Tyrion knew that Daenerys wouldn't stay in Meereen forever and this was his way of acknowledging her goal to go back to Westeros some day.

For all the alleged faults of Tyrion’s body he had a Queened sister and no real competition for his father’s estate just an older brother who had neither respect or the right to marry. Though he did have his looks and virtues enough to compensate for his siblings.
