listen up pals because i'm gonna tell you some stuff about pompeii.

ALRIGHTY so getting right into it, pompeiis eruption was mainly just ash and dust falling down on the city, along with some pumice etc. it covered the city so thickly that even people who stayed inside died.

but that's not all. the dust rushing down the mountain, called the pyroclastic surge, got superheated. i can't remember the exact number but it was big. think burning upon impact.

speaking of the heat of the pyroclastic surge, it was so hot that the people standing in the streets immediately evaporated all the water in their bodies, and that's why they were all curled up on the ground, the heat caused their muscles to contract. cool, huh?

I don't actually know what I'm doing

I'm a college student. I think that has been stated before. But I'm just venting I think. I'm a creative writing major. part of creative writing is that we learn various writing types, poetry, memoirs, and fiction. I mainly write fiction, as poetry and memoirs require a more direct vulnerability than I find myself comfortable with. So I write fiction, which often holds more truth in it than I ever anticipate.

But I write things like sci-fi and romance, which is not viable to write in my class, granted I am also a fanfic writer which I already knew wouldn't fly there, I anticipated it even. But now I am burnt out as we have spent half a semester just writing poetry, something I am not comfortable writing or sharing with people, and we are moving onto memoirs, "the most popular genre" (It is actually romance but my prof does not view "porn" as a real genre). Because people like hearing other's misery, apparently.

I do not understand. I do not want to here about how sad and odd someone's life is and then gawk at it, like it's some side show attraction. I actually don't really care about people's lives, I don't read about what actor did what (I only read about what movies the actors I enjoy are going to be in the upcoming year. I'm very excited for the new Indiana Jones movie) or how said what to who. Provided a celebrity is not doing harmful things, like kill, rape, push for policies that actively harm me and those around me, I tend not to care.

In some cases my values movie wise will clash, like fantastic beasts 3. I was not going to support JKR in the slightest, but I like Mads Mikkelsen's acting and the movies he is in. So the obvious answer is to not see the movie in theaters of buy it new when it came out on DVD and blue-ray. Well, my solution would be to not buy it at all, but my mom likes those movies (thankfully she will only buy movies from our used video store) so I pirated it so I could at least watch the actor I enjoy.

On that note, do I like the harry potter franchise that much? No. I never read the books, and I don't care for any video games, and I only saw the movies because my sister and mom insisted we had them. I liked movies like the mummy (1999 and 2002) Underworld, and hellboy (2004). I also liked scooby doo and marvel. Am I super obsessed with marvel to the point I need to know everything about the actors and buy all the movies new? No, I still only thrift my movies (save for my box set of Hannibal, I do not regret that).

Okay, I got off topic. But my point is, I like fiction, it is close enough to our world that it is relatable, but far enough away that I do not have to worry about that happening to me, where as poetry and memoirs hold an expectation that something is true. I do write my truths, but there is something incredibly draining about only being able to do so.

I read a lot of Porn with plot, and often times the plot deals with depression, suicidal thoughts and ideation, feelings of worthlessness, and self esteem issues. And yes, the sex makes it palatable, but the heavy material is still there.

headcanons for the gelfling clans accents !!

As someone who is really interested in languages and linguistics, one thing I always wish AOR did was give all the clans different accents. So, I decided I would do it myself! I’ve basically been researching different (mainland) UK accents and I’ve put an accent to each clan. This is based a lot on my own headcanons, but I’ve taken into account different information we’ve gotten about gelfling accents and languages, as well as the geographical placing of the clan’s settlements, and their clans status and culture. I’ve linked videos with each clan to give you an auditory idea of what I think they would sound like. All under the cut!!

(!! disclaimer !! : I am Irish, not from the UK, so I’m sorry if my description of/videos I have chosen to display any of the accents are inaccurate. I’ve tried my best not to generalize with the accents too much, but I know that a lot of accents change from town to town, so unfortunately I have given just a broad umbrella description of some accents. I’m sorry if I get anything wrong!!!)

Vapra - Queen’s English/Received Pronunciation

I think the Vapra are the only clan to have been canonically distinguished as having a particular accent, but maybe I’m wrong. It’s mentioned a lot in the books about how the Vapra have a very distinct accent, SkekSa even noticing Tae speaking with one, when she was taken over by Tavra. Their accent is “distinct and noticeable” according to the Songs of the Seven Gelfling Clans, and is similar to the Skeksis accent. I think that maybe the normal gelfling of Ha’rar speak with a type of Received Pronunciation, whereas the aristocrats, and the Royal family themselves, would speak Queen’s English. It would make sense that the Vapra would speak in Received Pronunciation, an accent associated with privilege and education, as they are known for.....well, privilege and education. Each word is articulated very clearly, and it is a sharp, almost cold accent - which suits their climate nicely. It is often thought as the “proper” way to speak, and those gelfling who speak with this accent automatically present themselves as a higher class, although other clans may just associate the accent with snobby-ness. Naturally, the Vapra coming from the capital city of Ha’rar, the seat of the All- Maudra, I think Queen’s English is very fitting.

Upper-class Accent Examples

Stonewood - Brummy (Birmingham Accent)

I was between Cockney and Brummy for the Stonewood, as I think both accents suit the wood-dwelling clan. However, I think Brummie is better suited, as Birmingham is is situated in the central midlands of England - like how Stone-in-the-wood is “the hearth of the Skarith Land”. The Brummy accent is quite nasally, due to the amount of industry that used to be in the city. Industry is something the Stonewood are known for, with their weapons, tools and instruments their blacksmiths create being well-renowned and sought after across Thra. The accent is sort-of a mix of a southern and northern English accent, which I think this suits the Stonewood well, in terms of their clan status. As much as they are a rough, warrior and battle focused clan, they are of a very high standing, second to only the Vapra. Therefore, the mix comes from Vapra/Skeksis influence, and then their own woodland charm. Although other clans may see the Stonewood accent as brash and arrogant, the warrior clan is proud of their dialect, and don’t try to hide it!

Spriton - Yorkshire Accent (South, West and East)

I have a good bit to back up my headcanon here. The Spriton are a widespread clan, about 1/3 of them living outside of Sami Thicket, some families living over a days journey from the main village. For this reason, I think the different Yorkshire accents suit them very well. Since the Spriton live all over the Spriton Plains, some nearer to Stone-in-the-Wood, some nearer to the Swamp of Sog, and some even living at the edge of the Dark Wood (rip kylans parents), it would make sense that they all have variations of a similar accent. I imagine that it can be hard for other clans to tell each of the different Spriton dialects apart, but the Spriton themselves can hear a clear difference in the voice between someone who was born in Sami Thicket, and someone who was born on the outskirts of the plains. You can see, as we move further south down the Skarith Land, the presence of the posh Ha’rar accent, is slipping away, with different vowels sounds and timbre, even different grammar. The Yorkshire accent often omits words and letters to make speaking faster, which is a practical way of speaking for the busy farmers and soldiers of the Spriton Plains.

Drenchen - Edinburgh Accent

Now, this is a headcanon I will fight for. I will eternally feel that we were ROBBED of the Drenchen having a Scottish accent. I was deciding which Scottish accent would suit them best, and I finally landed on an Edinburgh accent. As much as I think that my favourite swamp dwellers would have a strong accent, I don’t think it’s overly realistic. While they are isolated from the other clans, which would naturally cause them to speak differently to them, I don’t think they are isolated enough to have a drastically contrasting accent. Therefore, I thought that the Edinburgh accent, said to be softer and less intense than other Scottish dialects, would be perfect. They still have a similar tone to the rest of the clans, but their soggy lilt is unique, and is still noticeably different of a timbre to the other clans of the Skarith Land. I also presume that their gills would have some sort of influence on their intonation, another reason I chose the Edinburgh accent, which comes almost from the back of the throat - closer to the gills!

Sifa - West Country

I think this is a pretty obvious accent to assign to the Sifa, as it’s the origin of the traditional “pirate” accent. They have a distinctive way to say their “r”s , and it can sometimes be a harsh sounding accent, suiting the sometimes dangerous lifestyle of the rogue clan. However, the rounded vowels and somewhat cozy feeling you get from the intonation of the West Country accent, shows the mythical and peaceful side of the Sifa. I headcanon that it’s uncommon for a gelfling to have a truly Sifan accent, due to the influence of other gelflings with other dialects that join the Sifa, therefore with most Sifa ending up with an amalgamation of gelfling accents. However, with families that have sailed with the Sifa for generations, the accent is still very much alive. For those gelfling who run away to the Silver Sea for a while, they always return home with a subtle sea-faring twang.

Dousan - Lancastrian English

It took me a while to decide which accent would be best for the Dousan. I wanted an accent that didn’t draw out many sounds, and was spoken quickly, as the Dousan try to preserve as much moisture in the desert air as they can. After looking through hours of footage of different English dialect videos, I decided on the Lancastrian accent. They have shorter vowels than other dialects, and also shorten a lot of words to make them quicker to say. I thought this was perfect for the Dousan, a clan which avoids speaking for long, if they can. It is quite a unique accent, especially in terms of grammar, which makes sense, as the Dousan rarely socialize with other clans, meaning they would not pick up other slang or pronunciation. The Dousan use the Language of Silence, a type of sign language, which is sometimes used in unison with audible speaking. I thought that the unique Lancastrian grammar went well with this, as in The Songs of the Seven Gelfling Clans, it says that “more was being communicated when both hands and tongues worked together”. Perhaps the reason the Dousan grammar is created to be much shorter and quicker to say, is because the Language of Silence allows the Dousan to communicate in full, meaning there is no need to speak with long sentences? Either way, I think the accent is a perfect fit for the nomadic clan.

Grottan - South Wales Accent

Deet’s tendency to sing often made me think that the South Wales accent would be perfect. It is a naturally sing-songy type of accent, with a musical intonation. This is because the South Welsh accent is heavily influenced by the Welsh Language. I thought that because the Grottan have been isolated from other Gelfling, and rarely go “topside”, they would have very little impact on their dialect from the Skeksis, something their sister clan, the Vapra, have been hugely influenced by. This led me to think that perhaps the Grottan accent would have a lot more in common with the old-gelfling language, giving it that sing-songy and particular lilt. Like the Dousan, the Grottan have their own language, Finger-talk, which is incredibly difficult to learn for non-Grottan gelfling. Maybe the reason it is so difficult, is because of, again, the influence of old-gelfling, something the other clans have slightly lost a connection to. But perhaps, the Grottan accent may also play a part in why it is so difficult for daylighters to learn this peculiar language. As the accent has such musical intonation, with lots of high and low sounds in it’s speaking, perhaps finger-talk is based more on these high and low sounds, and less on the actual words themselves, which is why Grottan find it so easy to learn, as these high and lows are built into their accent regardless. Nevertheless, the South Wales accent is one of my favourites, and it perfectly fits the peaceful and secluded Grottan.

I’m not going to let tumblr dot com put me off of a particular show/book/etc. itself, but it has definitely made me think less of certain types of fans who are in a fandom.

The...period drama fandom? More widely, the history fandom. They both create some of the most beautiful edits celebrating history and I love it.

From Avatar: The Last Airbender — It’s gotta be Prince Zuko

I don’t really have a main fandom but I haven’t mentioned Free! yet so let’s go with it for this one.

1. Less Nitori because I can’t stand him.

2. More female characters! I get half the appeal is the boys, but I’d love to see a girls swim team in some capacity.

3. More Haru and his family dynamics! Doesn’t have to be a ton, but I want to know what his relationship with his parents like, especially as an adult.

For The Mandalorian — A historical AU set in early 1900s New York City where Mando’s just some government agent sent to “report” on slum conditions to satisfy some housing law. He goes meaning to write up a generic report but then finds the orphaned Baby Yoda abandoned in one of the tenements. Shocked by the conditions of the slums, Mando goes from being an apathetic, middling-level bureaucrat to being an anonymous investigative journalist reporting on the corruption in the government that allows for the city’s most vulnerable citizens to live in squalor, leading the government on a search to find who within their ranks is exposing them.

Q - A fandom you’ve abandoned and why.

Sherlock, because it just took so long for the third series to come out. I had moved on to other fandoms by the time it did. Still have fond memories of when I was active in it, though.

R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?

From Lord of the Rings — Aragorn and Legolas. This is played up a lot more in the films but I love it.

S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)

For Lord of the Rings — Boromir definitely taught Faramir swordplay when they were little kids since their father didn’t want to.

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?

From Hanyou no Yashahime — Rin made the first move. Sesshomaru would be way too clueless to even know how to go about it.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

From Pirates of the Caribbean — James Norrington: Commodore in the Royal Navy during the 18th century, must I explain any further? Cool, calm, and collected on the job while looking v good while he does it but a nervous wreck in front of the woman he fancies. Tell me that’s not straight out of Austen.

From Star Wars (OT) — Luke Skywalker: An unapologetically good person in a crapsack world, doing his best to bring light into the world. A classic hero archetype who grows out of his naïveté to become a cunning—but still benevolent—Jedi.

From Prince of Tennis — Yukimura Seiichi: His duality is *chef’s kiss*. Super scary and in charge on the court, gentle sweet boy who loves art and culture off the court. He struggled for so long but was able to overcome it all through his hard work and willpower.

From Band of Brothers — Doc Roe: He’s doing the MOST for his guys but he really just needs a hug. Plus he’s got the accent.

I love fandom so much. I’m sort of facetious about being obsessed with people who aren’t real on my other social media accounts, but in all seriousness, being able to escape the real world to get excited over characters and relationships that face their own struggles, triumphs, and emotions is such a gift. So often they speak so powerfully on the human experience—How can you read, or watch, any of Tolkien’s work and not be moved by what he has to say about humanity and the power of good? Even if the stories are fictional, the messages they impart about life aren’t, which is what I love so much about them.

his parents were high school sweethearts and married just before they attended college at harvard together, securing careers at the kennedy space center.

jeremy fischman sr dies under mysterious circumstances in a lab accident and ellen is twenty-eight and left alone to raise baby jem. things only go downhill from here. jeremy was the love of her life and she becomes obsessed with his disappearance and all kinds of conspiracy theories, blows a bunch of her money. it doesn’t take long for her to be fired, savings blown on expensive equipment or sunk into internet hoaxes

they move to a rough neighborhood in gainesville where jem grows up. he likes jem, not jeremy, jeremy is his father. he’s never experienced the perfect life his parents used to live, the white picket fence, the shiny space shuttles. he’s only got this, and honestly, he doesn’t hate it.

the neighborhood’s rough, but there’s a lot of fun characters, and his mom is practically his best friend – aside from his next-door neighbor, NOAH WARD.

jem’s mom does odd hacking jobs from the comfort of their home. some of them are shadier than others, she makes connections with a lot of private investigators in town and looks into people’s cheating husbands and tracks down birth parents and missing people. she does pro bono work too, a kindhearted woman, she can never say no to those in need, even if she’s not so fortunate herself. as jem gets older, he learns everything that he knows from her

every summer vacation growing up, jem and his mom would pack their bags and make home in a camper van, traveling across the country. in some ways, this was great mother-son bonding, but this wasn’t why they did it. his mom never gave up looking for the truth about her husband, but hacking into secure, top-secret government databases is nothing like hacking into the gainesville city hall, it’s hard work, and they travel around the country methodically so that their signal cannot be traced. every summer they get close, but never close enough.

when noah moves away for college, jem stays home. he’s not comfortable leaving his mom.

he keeps up with hacking jobs and keeping up with looking for his dad on the side. he doesn’t think they’ll ever find him, his mom holds out hope but jem is eighteen years old and a bit more jaded now, he figures the guy’s just really dead and well, the conspiracy of it all matters less and less when he knows that either way, he’s still grown up without him.

a lot of jem’s social life is online, whether it’s friends from hacking forums or via soundcloud.

when he’s not hacking, he’s making music. his passions of technology and music mix and he creates his own beats and soundcloud, mashing together songs, and even putting together a popular meme track or two used on tiktok.

it’s actually a bit lucrative, but that’s not why he does it. doesn’t even really use his name, catch him on soundcloud…username? uncutjems.

every time he and his mom get close to finding his dad, there’s just more to do, and it’s almost like someone KNOWS what they’re doing.

jem’s right about that – he is being watched. since noah’s admission to gallagher, recruiters have been aware of the boy who taught her everything she knew.

when gallagher makes the choice to start allowing male students, an agent shows up at his door offering him a once in a lifetime chance at a free education.

jem doesn’t have any strong ambition to go into espionage, per say, but he won’t say no to advanced classes taught by some of the world’s brightest minds – and a chance to reunite with his best friend. however, he hasn’t stopped trying to get into the government’s records and still has ambitions of going into music production.

PERSONALITY.

INTUITIVE. jem has a natural intuition about things and he trusts himself and his own opinions about things. i suppose you could perceive this as confidence, but honestly he’s just really SMART, good at absorbing facts even subconsciously and putting things together about people or situations. in a sense, he has a habit of being correct – he definitely comes off as intelligent, even though his grades in school have never been very good. he just has different priorities.

LOYAL. make a friend out of jem and you have a friend for life, he’ll take your secrets to the grade and he’s pretty trustworthy. he’s the type of guy that gets along with pretty much everyone but he has a few select, close friends because he is somewhat intentional about the company that he keeps. he’s friendly and kind, but he keeps his inner circle of people he trusts close and somewhat exclusive.

PROTECTIVE. kind of has papa bear energy, you know ? maybe the dad friend of your friend group, but in a laid back way, he might not seem like he’s the type to spring into action but call someone close to him a rude name and you’ll see his fist coming at your face. he’s protective but not possessive, i guess is how i would describe it, but i think he gives pretty good advice as well because he’s really hoping the best for ppl.

MALINGERING. jem is kind of a SLACKER! at least, that’s what teachers have called him in the past, he simply does not dream of labor. he’s just kind of doing his own thing, will fake sick to skip a class, whatever else, even though he likes producing music he doesn’t really have a great ambition for anything, spy or otherwise. as long as he has a good computer setup, then he’s fucking chilling.

MOODY. he’s laid back to the umpteenth degree when it comes to work or obligations, but he does have sort of mood swings, i guess he’s the sort of person that you would describe as grumpy at times ? definitely NOT a morning person and when he’s in an off mood, he can be hard to interact with or snap out of.

DISORGANIZED. the sort of person to throw his stuff across the bed or leave piles of clothes on the floor to deal with later, maybe he’s not your favorite roommate for this reason. he has a habit of losing things that he just set down or whatever, things like that.

HEADCANONS.

tbh you can think of him like...beca in pitch perfect ! he’s here bc he was offered a free education and he’s cool with that, but he’d rather be pursuing a future in music. a damn good hacker, though, and the gallagher recruiters are hoping that with some ‘ambition’ he’ll want to work for the government someday.

played baseball throughout middle and high school and he’s fairly athletic – he can get pretty competitive when he plays, it kind of brings out a side in him that most people don’t expect to see because he’s fairly chilled out most of the time

a boss with a slingshot. there is no reason for this, but he had one as a kid and he used to chase squirrels away from the bird feeders outside their home. he has great eyesight and his aim is great, but it’s literally the only weapon he’s proficient in

he’s not tiktok famous for his face, but he has two tiktok famous songs...he’s made like 12k in record deals for selling the rights, it’s just the kind of shit that he does goofing around in music software and he has a good ear for what is going to be catchy

he’s NOT a morning person, definitely a late night kind of guy, will stay up until all hours just fucking around on the computer and then he’ll sleep until 1 or 2pm, at least. getting up for morning classes is a struggle for them and he has slept through them on occasion.

funky sweaters, crazy socks, fun-patterned shirts, he dresses a bit like a circus tent at times, but you can’t say that he doesn’t have style – he dresses well, but it’s like he’s stepped out of a 90s cartoon or something

if he makes u a playlist he either wants to be ur friend so fucking bad or he’s head over heels in love with u

really likes making new things with old technology, he loves taking the macguyver courses and learning new things and he’s actually built his own computer and a lot of his own musical instruments

usually has a couple bandaids because he’s a bit accident prone or can lose his focus when working in the lab. when he gets in his own head while working on a project, he literally cannot hear anything else – sort of selective hearing

likes fucking around with spray paint, if he can, he’s got a bit of an artistic streak and he doodles stickers on sticker paper sometimes. you can probably catch his tag around campus or even stuck to the latops of his close friends, it’s just a little man with a tv for a head.

WANTED CONNECTIONS.

HACKING JOBS – if you STILL need a hacker for any of your wild backstory connections, jem is a great bet. he’s been doing paid jobs for people professionally since he could type, and he’s sort of an ace at getting in and out without leaving a trace...and he’s no gossip. so, your secrets would be safe with him.

SMOKING BUDDIES – people that he can smoke up with, talk about life, talk about the bullshit of gallagher, but also people he can laugh with that don’t make him feel stressed or concerned about the future.

MUSIC MAKING BUDDIES – if your character makes music, maybe they can collaborate on something...we’re about to drop the hottest mixtape of all time right here at gallagher academy i will teach myself garageband for this shit...jk but maybe

EX ON BAD TERMS – someone he dated last year...i’m imagining it was their first year and things were really great for the first semester, but shit fell apart second semester along with the school. maybe all the drama on campus caused distance, maybe he wasn’t there for them when they needed it, or maybe they got jealous of the way he always prioritizes noah ? a combination of things, we can hash out the details since i know some of you had some pretty angsty things going on second sem, and maybe it’s awkward now because it feels like there’s unfinished biz.

EX ON GOOD TERMS / LOVERS TO FRIENDS – maybe someone that was a rebound and things didn’t really work and they saw that, maybe he wasn’t over his ex or whatever but they were able to stay friends ? it’s up to you how your muse feels about it but i want an ex that jem also has no hard feels about and actually is maybe sort of protective of them and cares a lot about them finding happiness, they bonded hardcore.

EX-FLING – idk maybe they were hooking up for a while and then one of them started seeing someone else or one of them caught feels so they don’t hook up any more but it was super fun when they did !! also down for it to have been like a summer fling and once the summer ended.

What do you do when you hit a rough spot creatively?: Take a break. Read a book, dive into a k-drama, binge a few fics. Sometimes I just have to put the laptop away until I’m ready to start again.

What is your favorite work and why? Your most successful?: My favorite story is probably ‘Over The Top’ with GOT7’s Bambam. It’s a dad!au about bam’s twin boys’ first birthday party. I’m quite attached to their family dynamic in the story and may even revisit twin terrors Somsak & Somchai in the future. Most successful? Probably the ‘Bubbles’ series, a Monsta X OT7 fiesta. I had a lot of feedback while posting that series and made a lot of friends. (It was also my first actual fic & it jump-started this blog!)

Who is your favorite person to write about?: Jackson Wang or Park Jinyoung from GOT7 and Han Jisung from Stray Kids.

Do you think there’s a difference between writing fanfiction vs. completely original prose?: This is kind of a tough one because, yes- as a fanfic writer I’m using a real person as a character, however, the storyline, the dialog, the emotions, the actions of the characters are all organic. I could take any one of my stories and replace only that person’s name and it would be considered entirely original. So, I guess I would say it’s not so different.

What do you think makes a good story?: Great dialog.

What is your writing process like?: Sometimes I get an idea and go straight to word vomiting and editing. Sometimes it’s planning the title, characters, tags list, & summary then not looking at it for a few weeks until I’m ready to write it.

Would you ever repurpose a fic into a completely original story?: Yes. All of my stories are AU (non-idol verse) so I would totally repurpose them.

What tropes do you love, and what tropes can’t you stand?: Love: friends/strangers/enemies to lovers, + grumpy character only soft for their love interest. Dislike: Love triangles, angsty slow burn, cheating, etc.

How much would you say audience feedback/engagement means to you?: IT IS EVERYTHING. I love reading tags, getting aks, getting messages, it warms my heart, and really motivates me to keep going.

What has been one of the biggest factors of your success (of any size)?: When I write and I really like my own story, it feels like a success.

Do you think fanfic writers get unfairly judged?: Yes, they certainly can be. I think people who don’t understand fanfiction can have a very narrow mindset and belittle fanfic writers because of that misunderstanding.

Do you think art can be a medium for change?: Yes. Even if its something as small as changing one’s mood.

Do you ever feel there are times when you’re writing for others, rather than yourself?: Not usually. I try to only write things that make me happy and if I ever get requests I’m not into, I usually won’t write it. If I’m not enjoying myself and the story, it’s not worth the pressure I put on myself to write it.

Do you ever feel like people have misunderstood you or your writing at times?: It’s definitely possible, but I haven’t had many issues with this so far.

Do your offline friends/loved ones know you write for Tumblr?: My mom, dad, sister, husband, and two other friends know.

What is one thing you wish you could tell your followers?: I’m always here to make you laugh and smile, whenever you need it. I hope my stories can bring you joy.

Do you have any advice for aspiring writers who might be too scared to put themselves out there?: Do it for yourself. If you are enjoying yourself then it’s worth it.

Are there any times when you regret joining Tumblr?: I love this hellsite. I’ve been here since high school and I have no regrets.

Halloween Part Two

M watched as Jane’s face scrunched up as she watched Minah and Sungjae seemingly get lost in their own world. He looked briefly at their friends but quickly looked away once they started to blur the line between dancing and well whatever it was they were doing.

““That’s disgusting,” Jane muttered. M hummed she did take a large gulp of her drink.

“The drink?” M asked, causing Jane to turn to face him. After Mark and Tara had left an awkward silence feel over the pair, while it wasn’t entirely uncomfortable but it had left them just standing there awkwardly next to each other.“If you want I can go and get you a better one?” He offered.

“ No no that is not necessary the drink is fine, it’s the sight of seeing our best friends pretty much dry humping on the floor that is disgusting,” she said with a shake of her head.

“Oh right,” M said looking over to the dance floor before quickly looking back at Jane, the tips of his ears turning bright red. “Do you wanna?” He murmured nodding to the floor.

“Do I wanna dry hump on the dance floor?” Jane asked, raising an eyebrow,smirking probably at how M’s face now matched his ears.

“I meant dance,” M exclaimed, “Not dry humping not that it is bad or I wouldn’t with you but-“ he rambled before realising he was digging himself a bigger hole. “I am just gonna stop talking,” he mumbled looking down.

Jane laughed, M sincerely hoped it was with him and not at him because he was already drowning in embarrassment. Maybe he was being hopeful but she looked well fond of him. “I would love to dance but quick question, do you even know how to?” she questioned eyeing him up and down. “And about that other thing, well you have to at least take me out for dinner first,” she smirked, M froze his brain malfunctioning as she tried to process what she had just said.

After settling down trying to ignore what Jane had just said M focused on the first part . “Oh fuck no I am awful, like I am not even been modest here,” M said with a laugh. “But you look like you want to and I’ve been a terrible kind of date so the least I can do is at least try ,” he said. “Though i should warn you my go to move is called the drunk giraffe and it will probably embarrass you so,” he shrugged.

“Doubt it I don’t know if you know this about me but I am pretty hard to embarrass,” Jane boasted. “ but you don’t have to feel obligated, you haven’t been an awful date at all,” she said with a soft smile making its way onto her face.

“I want to, I mean how many other opportunities will I have to dance with the prettiest girl here Jane the frat boy slayer,” he said with a grin. “So shall we?” He said holding his hand out. Jane was quick to skip her hand in his. They both tried to ignore how right that felt.

“Now it’s time for you to teach me this drunk giraffe move of yours,” Jane grinned as they found their spot on the dance floor.

“Are you sure you want to see it, really it’s pretty dumb,” M flushed.

“You can’t just bring it up and not show me now, teach me oh wise one,” she giggled.

“Fine,” M sighed in defeat. “First you put your hands up in the air like so,” he said, raising his arms up above his head. “And you shake them and kinda stumble around at the same time,” he said showcasing his dance move. Trying desperately to ignore the eyes that were on him no doubt judging him.

“Like this?” Jane grinned as she repeated the moves giggling as she did so.

“Exactly like that you are quick learner,” he said giving her thumbs up

Yeah, I’ve heard that plenty of times” Jane stated proudly, a smirk crossing her red-tinted lips as she playfully repeated the silly move.

“You’re giving me a run for my money” M laughed.

“Now it’s my turn to teach you a dance move.” Jane said wrapping a hand around M’s wrist and pulling him closer, M hoped she didn’t notice the way he stopped breathing. “Not that I don’t love the drunk giraffe, but if we do that all night long, I feel like my knees will hurt” Jane said, pointing at the pair stilettos she was wearing, M frowned he hadn’t even noticed, he hoped her feet were not hurting.

“Sure. Though you better don’t get your hopes too high, keep no expectations because i am really-” he started to say but Jane had completely zoned out. He waited for a second wondering if her eyes would leave his arms. Was their something wrong with his arms, was it that stupid birth mark?

Jane seemed to break out of her daze slowly turning around searching for something or someone. Within a few minutes the whole room was packed and looked like a moving montage of characters from movie and TV shows. Spiderman, Harry Potter, Darth Vader, Princess Leah, Scarlet O'Hara, angels, fairies, hobbits, witches and wizards, pirates and many other characters all danced to the latest summer hit.

Jane seemed to find what she was looking for, her eyes narrowed at whatever it was and a scoff escaped her lips.

“Is everything ok?” M asked her, looking around, apparently not identifying the source of her disgust yet. She shook her head but started laughing when she overheard a blonde girls response to a frat boy.

“Try rubbing anything of mine and the only wish you'll have, will be a death wish" She snarked before walking away leaving the two boys dressed as Jedi’s laughed their butts at the other frat boy’s - Jaehyun, M soon realized -, rejection.

“Jane,” Jaehyun spoke, clicking his tongue as he drew closer like some sort of Cicada. “Ok i get it, you are upset, but did you really have to bring some random guy to make me jealous?” Jaehyun asked, his eyes shifting up and down, analyzing M from head to toe.

“Do you even realize how delusional you sound just now?” Jane snorted, M felt bad, she was trying really hard not to lose her temper.

“Come on, Jane, there’s no need to flaunt your guy of choice in my face to make me jealous every other week” he said sending a condescending look his way before smirking at Jane. “Not that you’re trying too hard, either.” M was not a violent person but he was definitely considering wiping that smirk of that stupid jerk’s face.

“Because I don’t need to, even any of your hormonal, immature brothers would be better than you,” Jane stated her face contorting in anger. Jaehyun opened his mouth to continue this conversation before Jane stopped him. “Look, I’m sure you have better things to do tonight than to harass me, so why don’t you just leave me out of your egocentric and toxic-? “ Before Jane could complete her sentence, Mark and Johnny materialized behind Jaehyun. They gave Jane an apologetic look murmuring something to their friend and then dragged Jaehyun upstairs. The two jedi’s from before followed their brothers as well, looking rather concerned.

Jane sighed and slowly turned to face him, “I am truly sorry about that” she said briefly glancing into his eyes. “I don’t know what’s wrong with him, other than his ego of course,” she attempted to joke.

“It’s fine,” M mumbled. He paused trying to think he should say anything else or if any comment would make the situation worse. “Not your fault his brain doesn’t work, maybe his hair gel leaked into his brain or- “ he continued, “though i guess you could say the same thing about me right now,” he said pointing his hair.

“No, trust me, he has never used that brain,” Jane said with an eye roll. M’s lip quirked up in a semi smile, he wanted to continue the joke on but couldn’t bring himself to. That was the type of guy Jane was into, not a boy who works in a coffee shop and has a go to dance move is called the drunk giraffe.

An awkward silence fell over them, M knew that he was just a friend but he couldn’t help but feel a bit defeated. That been said he didn’t want Jane to feel bad it wasn’t her fault she had type that wasn’t M. “I don’t suppose you want to teach me that signature move now,” M said awkwardly trying to break the awkwardness, they could at least get back to the jovial mood they had before Jaehyun had to show up.

“Honestly at this point i kinda just want to go home,” Jane said, a defeated sigh slipping from her lips. M nodded, eyes darting down to his feet. Well that was a bruise to his almost non existent ego. “Not because of you,” Jane added quickly, causing M to glance up giving her what he hoped looking a reassuring grin. He was pretty sure she was saying that to make him feel better but he did appreciate the attempt. “Why do I get the feeling you have taken a page out of your bestfriend’s book and are doubting whether you should believe me or not?” Jane said, the tiniest hint of annoyance could be heard in her voice.

“Sungjae doesn’t have a book, its contagious - you should hope Minah had her shots otherwise you are going to have some trouble,” M joked.

“Firstly don’t even joke about that,” Jane said, dramatically shuddering. “And secondly M don’t say things like that in places like this, they would assume you are talking about something else entirely and before you know it everyone on campus will talking about Minah caught something of Sungjae,” she said. M’s eyes widening that is the last thing he wanted to do.

“Excuse you,” Minah said pushing people out of the way Sungjae following behind her, lips noticeable a smeared shade of Minah’s lipstick. M snorted looking at the dumb smile loved up smile that was on his bestfriends face. “I caught what now?”

“Sungjae’s lack self esteem and constant need to question everything i say,” Jane deadpanned, “Apparently the last part was true,” she said narrowing her eyes at Minah.

“And we came all the way over here to check on you after we saw Jaehyun,” Minah said tsking. “Everything okay?” she asked surprisingly seriously.

“It’s fine, he was just being his normal self,” Jane said with an eye roll, “I was just going to head home,” she said. The two girls shared a look, M tried to decipher the silent conversation.

“Same well, actually -” She said in a sing song, “Sungjae and I were planning to head home,” she said with a grin. “But back to his place,” she said.

“We were?” Sungjae questioned before being elbowed in the rib by his girlfriend, “We were!” he said as he rubbed his rib. “Sorry mate,” he said to M.

“Well he could always stay at our place right Jane?” Minah said. “Our couch is very comfortable unless -” Minah continued.

‘Minah,” Jane groaned.

“What? I am just being helpful, i highly doubt he wants to be present for what we are going to do,” Minah hummed. “And did you know M has never actually seen Grease? Maybe you two you should watch it together?”

“You haven’t watched Grease?” Jane gasped in mock horror, turning to look at him with her eyebrows raised. M wasn’t sure why this was that surprising. He was sure he had seen movies Jane had never watched before.

“Well… I…” M briefly eyed Sungjae questioning what he should say. Sungjae shook his head mouthing a silent ‘no.’ “I haven’t,” he admitted after clearing his throat. It made Jane’e eyes widen comically.

“Ok, no. Now I can’t let you go anywhere.” Jane said seriously “You’re coming home with me and you can’t leave until you know everything about Danny Zuko” she said. M nodded supposing it would make sense for him to actually know something about the character he dressed up as.

“I guess I have no other choice” M joked, shrugging “Anything will be better than going home with these two” he pretended to lower his voice, but both Minah and Sungjae could hear his next word perfectly. “Walls are paper thin in our apartment”

Jane and M laughed causing Sungjae to slightly blush.

“And they’re already so fucking loud” Jane scrunched up her nose. “I really feel obligated to save you from that torture” Jane linked an arm through M’s and started to walk toward the exit with Minah and Sungjae following them closely.

“We can order something to eat or buy something on our way” M suggested tentatively.

“That works. And since she’s the reason you can’t go home, we can drink one of Minah’s champagne bottles. I doubt she would mind” Jane looked over her shoulder smirking teasingly.

“Hey! You two better keep your hands off that bottle. I’ve been saving it for months!” Minah grumbled as they walked out the frat house.

Jane was about to retort when a gust of wind whipped past them and lifted the dried fall leaves off the sidewalk, scattering them all over the street. She shivered and let go of M’s arm in favor of hugging herself and trying to rub away the chill.

“It’s freezing, you’re going to catch a cold wearing that,” they turned to see Sungjae taking his jacket off and placing it carefully over Minah’s arms. M bit back a laugh if he knew Sungjae as well as he thought he did, his being dying to do that since the ghostbuster wolf whistled when they arrived.

“Thank you, babe,” Minah said sliding her hand around her boyfriend’s neck and pulled him in for a deep kiss. Charming.

“This has truly been a horror night” Jane complained to M, clicking her tongue in disapproval and hoping this one was the last time —at least for the day— that she got to see her friends making out like two horny teenagers. “Thanks for tagging along and sharing my pain” she said with a faint smile “It would’ve been an awful night without you.” Jane said.

It was like M had no control over his face because he was smiling from ear to ear. He didn’t want to seem like eager puppy waving his tail excitedly at the smallest amount of praise yet here was surely smiling like a fool because he might have made Jane’s night a bit more bearable.

“Poke the dimple,” he was snapped out of his thoughts by his best friend chanting rather ghoulishly. “Seriously I am not close enough, Jane you need to do it , just -“ he continued making a poking gesture.

“I am not just going to poke someone’s face” Jane said rolling her eyes . Though admittedly she was tempted to.

“Not everyone is obsessed with my dimples mate,” M said with a laugh while Sungjae whined about missed opportunities.

“Not everyone is but I certainly know somebody who is,” Minah said giggling. Completely ignoring the glare her friend was sending her.

“Don’t you two have places to be,” Jane said with a huff. It was getting cold and Minah’s “help” was not helping at all.

“Hmm we do,” Minah said nodding. To Jane it looked like she was contemplating whether staying here and helping/terrorising her was worth delaying sex. The answer would ofcourse be it’s never worth delaying sex. “Come on baby we should let this two have their movie night ,” Minah said to Sungjae who had already wrapped an arm around her waist. “You better keep M there until lunch time tomorrow actually, pretty sure we are going to be busy all morning too,” she said with a wink loud enough for everyone to hear. M nose wrinkled in disgust , looking over to see his friend completely red burying his face in Minah’s neck to hide his embarrassment. It didn’t last long though because with in a few seconds the couple retreated down the street stopping every couple of feet kiss each other.

“Gross,” Jane muttered before a leather jacket was placed over her shoulders. She looked over to see M shifting nervously, ears slightly redder.

“I was going to offer earlier but those two happened,” M said scratching the back of his neck. “Is it okay because I know I am not your -“ he was stopped when Jane held a hand up.

“It’s more than okay, I was freezing,” Jane said, putting the jacket on properly. “ Are you sure your going to be okay though?”

M was about to reply but his best friend for it was the perfect time to call out that if Jane was wondering M liked his eggs scrambled in the morning, loud enough that random passerby’s looked over at them.

“Oh my god,” Jane said with an embarrassed laugh. “ How much would you really miss him? Be honest ,” she said causing M to chuckle.

“He grows on you but I think after that we definitely need to drink that bottle of champagne you mentioned earlier,” M said with a smirk. “Also I may happen to know Sungjae’s Uber eats account and his credit card details so I think he just volunteered to pay for our food,” he grinned.

“Well in that case we should get going,” Jane laughed. Her eyes drifted down to see M’s hand hestitaing to grab hers , she rolled her eyes linking them. “So on the way to my apartment you can tell me about all the other teen classics you never watched,” she said ignoring the way her heart seemed to race as M’s hands tightened around hers.

“Well you might hate me for this but I’ve never seen Mean Girls,” M said as Jane turned to him with a shocked look. “Let me guess we are going to be watching that next time,” he said his eyes widening as he realised that he implied there would be more of these types of nights.

“Oh no sweetie we are watching that tonight, next time I am making you sit through my favourite French flicks,” Jane giggled.

halloween 2019

"You two have matching costumes, right?" Luna asked, looking around the room.

"He's an angel," Candy smiled. "I'm the devil."

"Classic," Luna rolled her eyes.

"You're dressed as a bunny, Luna," Candy pointed out, flicking her bunny ear.

"Candy! Luna!" Felix came up to them, dressed as a pirate. "Have you seen anyone else yet?"

"I saw Jisung before he left, but then Luna and I got ready after you all were gone because we did all your guys's makeup," Candy stated, rolling her eyes

"I guess you guys taking forever was worth it, you two look really nice," Felix teased, but he was looking at Luna.

"You're not too bad yourself, Captain," Luna smiled. Candy looked between her two friends, wondering if they could tell they were flirting with each other.

"Ah, boy, I'm thirsty. Luna?" Candy interrupted the silence around them.

"I'll go get you something," Felix offered.

"Show Luna around while you get them, why don't you?" Candy smiled, pushing the two off.

Her eyes scanned the room, which was pretty large itself. A lot of the JYP groups and solo artists came to the party planned by GOT7, so everyone knew it was going to be pretty good. She could see some familiar faces around, like Jackson in his Thor costume or BamBam dressed up as a robot. Some of the girls in Twice were dressed as the Queens in a deck of cards. Wonpil's Joker costume was pretty impressive, and Jae really looked like Harry Potter. Some people she didn't know were there in their Disney character costumes and Men In Black suits. Then, Candy's eyes fell upon Ryujin in her cat costume - if you could call it that. Her outfit was barely covering her body, but Candy had to admit it still looked good on her. Candy felt a little out of place in her black shorts and tight black long sleeve shirt, even if it was fairly similar to Ryujin's outfit. The fishnets under Candy's shorts suddenly seemed not enough, and her black Converse didn't compare to Ryujin's heels.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Luna asked as her and Felix returned, handing Candy a cup.

"I'll go find Jisung!" Felix excused himself.

"I don't like my costume," Candy confessed. "It isn't as cute as -"

"Girl," Luna huffed. "You look great, okay? And since when do you care that much about what you look like?"

"Since I saw Ryujin from Itzy in her cat costume," Candy looked down at her drink.

"Ryujin? The Ryujin who has a crush -" Luna got cut off by Jisung and Felix coming back.

"You certainly look more devilish than I look angelic," Jisung smiled, looking Candy over. He only had on a white tee with wings and a halo around his head for a costume, his jeans and shoes not necessarily fitting the outfit.

"Yeah, but you look better than I do," Candy nudged him.

"Have you two been over here the whole time?" Jisung asked, ignoring Candy's comment.

"Yeah, we were just observing for the time being."

"Do you want to dance?" Jisung raised an eyebrow.

"I thought you'd never ask," Candy smiled, waving to Luna and Felix as they left the room to go to another one where the rest of Stray Kids in their various costumes were dancing to the music playing quite loudly.

Candy instantly felt relieved being with people she knew best. She spent the next hour dancing with Jisung - going from goofy to dance covers to sexy. By one in the morning, her and Jisung were in need of a drink, so they went to the drink area in the dark back corner of the room where they had left Candy's purse and such before dancing.

"Are you having fun?" Jisung asked, breathing a little heavily.

"I always have fun when I'm with you," Candy winked, taking a drink herself.

"Yeah?" Jisung leaned toward her, the song changing just in time to fit the mood. Candy was kind of shocked by his forwardness, but decided to see how far she could push him. Knowing Jisung, he'd get flustered and back away if she tried anything.

"Yeah," Candy leaned toward him as well, their faces only a couple inches apart.

"Jisung! Candy!" They heard, pulling away quickly. Ryujin walked over to them, her ears and tail bouncing. Candy took another drink.

"Oh, hey Ryujin," Jisung said, smiling at her. Candy watched in silence, her chest growing tight as she watched the two talk. They seemed to have a lot in common. Candy continued to silently sip her drink while they talked about rapping and then some other random JYP things Candy must have missed while she was gone. She must have missed them getting this close, too.

"Do you want to get a picture together?" Ryujin asked, sitting her drink down. "I don't have my phone, but you could just send it to me?"

"Yeah, that's fine," Jisung pulled his phone out. "Candy, do you-"

"Sure," Candy put her drink down, taking Jisung's phone from him. She snapped pictures of them, feeling her eyes sting from holding back angry tears. She didn't like his arm being around her, or the way Ryujin kept moving closer to him and changing the poses to show off her body. Candy knew Ryujin was just crushing hard on Jisung and didn't know Candy was kind of, sort of, most definitely finding her way through her feelings for him. She couldn't really blame either of them because everything was actually fairly innocent, but Candy's heart didn't take kindly to watching another girl flirt with Jisung. Candy was never the jealous type in any of her other relationships, so this feeling was foreign to her.

"Here," Candy handed over the phone and picked up her purse. "I'm going to the restroom."

Candy made her way through the astronauts and scarecrows and superheroes and any other costume to get to the restroom, locking the door as soon as the door closed. She let her tears escape a little bit, her feelings overwhelming her slightly. She didn't want to be that girl, the one that got jealous over every girl that interacted with Jisung, but she wasn't confident Jisung wouldn't get tired of her not knowing exactly what she felt for him. Maybe he wanted a girl who knew exactly how they felt and was confident in their feelings. Maybe he wanted a girl like Ryujin, who was a rapper and was always sexy and cool. Jisung could get over her any second.

"Candy?" Luna knocked on the door, jiggling the handle. "Come on, let me in."

Candy unlocked the door, quickly letting Luna in and locking the door behind her. Luna sighed, wiping the tears off Candy's face.

"Did Ryujin go talk to Jisung?" Luna asked, crossing her arms.

"Yeah, then I took pictures of them being all cute together. I wanted to get pictures with him, but now it feels stupid when he already has this amazing girl on his arm on his camera roll," Candy shrugged. "It's really dumb, I know."

"Do you want to stay at my place tonight?" Luna offered. "I can change my plans with Felix-"

"No, no," Candy shook her head, reaching in her purse for her makeup to touch it up. "I'll just get back on my own. I'll grab Chan and tell him."

"Are you sure? I don't want you to be sad," Luna frowned, squeezing Candy's arm softly. "Text me later, okay?"

"Yes, mom," Candy smiled, looking in the mirror to fix her makeup.

"Oh, sorry," Candy said, coming out of the bathroom as she hit someone with the door.

"I was looking for you!" Jisung cheered. Candy just nodded. "Hey, are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Why?"

"You seem upset. Are you upset?" Jisung leaned his face toward her, so she moved back.

"Perfectly fine. I think I'm gonna head to the dorm though. I'm tired."

"You want me to go with-"

"No, no. Stay, enjoy the party. I'll see you later," Candy excused herself, quickly walking out. She knew a lot of the boys had seen what happened, as well as other JYP artists. Walking around JYP the next few days would surely be fun.

Seven didn’t exactly have the best childhood growing up either, so he is definitely the one to comfort you.

He has an obsession with Elizabeth the 3rd, second only to Jumin. So expect him to talk about animals a lot.

He thinks your overthinking is a strength, he knows you can never be too careful.

Don’t worry about being afraid to talk to him, he’s definitely going to be talking your ear off as soon as you two meet.

He finds the fact that you are lazy absolutely adorable, he would love to sleep in with you on days that he doesn’t have to get up early for work.

However, if you ever get bored, let him know because he will have the two of you on adrenaline highs in a matter of minutes.

Seven is also a master at bottling up his emotions and showing people only his happy, goofy side. Therefore he’s quick to see past your fake smile, and quick to wrap you in a hug and comfort you.

He’d love it to be honest and open with you, it’s just not something he’s trusted anyone else enough to be.

He’s really honest with you, he’s become so close to you that he feels terrible doing anything but being straight with you.

Speaking of being close, he’d want to be close to you as friends before he wanted to be in a relationship. He just needs to be close before he actually lets you in.

But once you two become close? Oh boy.

He’s so obvious when he flirts with you that it physically pains the other members of the RFA to watch.

Eventually Jaehee has to convince him that you are just really oblivious. When he asked you out and you said yes, his soul left his body.

He hates games too, he just doesn’t see the point. There isn’t any point in testing you, he trust you and he knows you trust him.

Seven understands when you only want affection during random times, he’ll leave you alone whenever you don’t want attention. However, he’d melt when you do want attention and just kind of...snuggle up to him while he’s working or playing a game.

Seven likes leading new languages too — he literally got bored one day and just decided to learn Arabic — so he’s down to help you learn anything new.

He likes music too, he’s the type to blast his music from the moment he wakes up to the moment he’s settling down.

Daichi is one of the kindest people

He’s very understanding and gets it sometimes if you feel worthless, worn-out or just all around anxious.

He’s quick to pick up on it, no matter how hard you try and hide it.

However, he does understand that you feel guilty about it and won’t mention it. He’d just slyly give you more affection whenever he saw you getting that way.

He likes that you are somewhat of an idealist, he likes to see things the way they are too, even if he does have big dreams sometimes.

He’d love to have you at one of his games “over”analyzing anything. Helping him pick out where he or his team is going wrong is definitely something he appreciates.

He is a good listener too, but sometimes he does tend to vent about his days to you. You’re just comforting to him, he can’t help it.

Daichi is pretty up front about his emotions too, he’s the captain after all. He knows that hiding things isn’t good.

So, he’s pretty honest to you about stuff. He’s not brutal about it though, he’ll tell you straight what he’s saying but he’s somehow nice about it.

Daichi absolutely doesn’t believe in love at first sight either. He might have a crush at first sight, but not love. He’d rather be friends first and then ease into a relationship once the two of you are close.

I will not apologize to Daichi to this...He’s so oblivious when it comes to flirting.

It physically pains the team to see both of you flirting with each other but neither of you realize the other is flirting too.

Eventually Tanaka is just gonna stand up and point it out to both of you.

He loves being lazy with you, he doesn’t get a chance to do it often and so when he does he likes to be with his favorite person.

This man loves hallmark movies. It takes all of his willpower not to cry, he usually ends up crying anyhow.

Daichi has a strong dislike of cheaters too. He doesn’t see the point in dating someone just to break their heart. Is it like a power thing? He doesn’t get it. (I don’t either tbh like wtf?)

Over all, Daichi drinks his Respect Women Juice.

Another Sweetheart

Considering his time in as an army doctor and his PTSD, he gets mental health.

He understand when your mental health is getting the best of you, he’s always there for you.

He doesn’t mind you being a perfectionist either, he doesn’t really like things being messy either.

He likes that you’re an idealist, he knows that the world is all sunshine and rainbows all the time.

He gets that sometimes you feel annoying when you try to explain how you feel or express your emotions

He doesn’t think that though, he’s the type of person to hang on to every word you say and care about it.

Sometimes with his PTSD, he has bad days. He’s only human. So he likes that you’re so empathetic, he needs someone to lean on every now and then.

He might vent to you about somethings he has on his mind, Sherlock can be a lot sometimes, so he always appreciates when you listen to him.

He knows that you tend to lie about how you’re feeling, he lies about his own feelings a lot. He stops once he gets closer to you, he’s honest towards you.

But he realizes how you actually feel about a lot of things and makes sure you’re fine with everything he does.

It was something he picked up in the army, he needed to know how his patients felt, so he often asks how you feel about things. He knows you won’t say anything otherwise.

Like I said earlier, he’s pretty straight forward with you once you get close. He’s learned that being anything but straightforward doesn’t work.

Actually, he’s just a really firm believer that communication is key.

He’d want to be close beforehand too — he just doesn’t trust people right off the bat — so he has no problem being friends first.

For Harry Potter, I ship you with Harry!

He didn’t have the best life as a kid either, so he understands. He had to grow up all too fast and care for himself, he sympathizes.

I can’t explain it but I just know that whenever he sees you get tongue tied he thinks it’s absolutely adorable.

He’s used to feeling useless or like he’s annoying any time he opens his mouth, so he understands whenever you don’t want to voice your opinions or say how you feel.

Actually, he recognizes it and tends to ask you about things, or ask if you have any input to the situation.

He gets really happy when you start opening up to him, he knows how hard it can be to trust people sometimes. Everytime you make some sarcastic comment at him, he can’t help but laugh.

He really likes your sarcastic, playful side. Something about your smile, he just really likes it.

He’s really patient and he doesn’t care if you get mad at him, he’ll forgive you

That being said, he does appreciate being open and honest with each other. He hates secrets.

He’s pretty oblivious to people flirting with him too, so just... *cue Ron and Hermione facepalming whenever you flirt with each other* It’s adorable, not even gonna lie.

He’s fine easing into the relationship, he gets it if you’d want to be friend first.

He gets it if you don’t want to give him affection all the time, but he’s always there for you when you do want to though. He never gets sick of you.

Honestly he’s just over-all a very understanding person.

Harry loves board games and you can’t convince me otherwise. Please play some with him, he would absolutely die.

He probably really likes Disney movies, he’s a big fan of Pirates of the Carribean, he told me so himself.

Painting rocks seems really mundane and domestic to him, he’d love to paint rocks with you. He’s gonna get paint all over himself, no one knows how or why.

Harry also hates cheaters, he loves anyone who cares about him and doesn’t have the heart to break someone else’s.

This is the most patient boy, don’t even get me started

He understands about your mental health, your childhood, everything really.

It’s not to say that he’s been though what you’ve been through specifically, but he’s been though some deep shit before.

He just wants to be your shoulder to cry on, since you’re always there for him.

Jacob would never cheat, he respects you too much to do that. He doesn’t want to hurt you, or anyone for that matter.

Like everything else, he understands about you shying away from affection sometimes. He’s happy to wait until you’re ready before he does anything.

Along the same lines, he’d probably crush on you immediately but he would probably want to get closer before anything happened between you too.

He’d like to let you set the pace. He’s ready for anything, just let him know when you want to move along and he’s happy to oblige.

As much as Jake loves his small town, he’d want to travel and see the world some too. He’d love to go along with you, to see everything.

Also you said you like animals and I feel like he’d love to snuggle against you in his wolf form? Like, he’s so soft and warm?

Fear of being vulnerable? Say hello to your very own personal protection (mentally and physically!)

He’s really protective of his friends and family too, he admires that in you. For him, if you are protective of those you love, then you’re a good person.

He’s very open, he doesn’t like to keep secrets. Not telling people about how he’s a shapeshifter is one of the hardest things he’s had to do, he just hates having to lie about things.

So he’s also pretty straight foreword. He won’t be blunt about it, he’d try to cushion the blow if he ever did have to tell you anything heartbreaking, but most likely it won’t happen.

He’s definitely one of those guys that don’t really like girls wearing makeup. It’s not that he thinks it makes them look fake, he just doesn’t see the point. You’re beautiful either way, so why spend all that time?

He understands if you like makeup as a hobby, though. He can totally get behind any artistic abilities.

Please play board games or paint rocks with him on rainy days, it’s really domestic and he would absolutely melt.

1. Your first OC ever? My WWE one Roxy,I wrote her when I was 13. I also made Naru aka Molly from Sailor Moon a Sailor Senshi named Sailor Sun. She had a yellow sailor fuku with a blue bow.

2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs? I’m not sure. I will say that my easiest one’s to write are Renee from The Flash and Suzanna from TWD.

3. Have you ever adopted a character or gotten a character from someone else? Kinda. my Ex let me use his OC’s in stories. He has Alien Races called The Cartanians and Tarians and a Vampire Nightmare lord named Shirowen. Who is based off of the lead singer of Dimmu Borgir.

On Stranger Tides

I adore Johnny Depp. He’s one of my all-time favorite actors. Dude’s range is actually really profound, especially considering his beginnings. Depp is one of the few individuals who was able to transition from teen heart-throb into respected Hollywood star. His career is as eclectic as his public personae and i respect that versatility. This sh*t with Amber Heard has kind of derailed his momentum going forward which has made him toxic from a major studio standpoint which is wildly unfair as, with all of this new information coming to light, he’s done nothing wrong. Amber Heard appears to be a violently abusive shrew who’s pathological clout chasing, is only outstripped by her destructive narcissism.That relationship, if you could call it that, caused Depp to lose his flagship franchise: Pirates of the Caribbean.

Depp’s Jack Sparrow is one of the most actualized characters to ever hit theaters. His take on what was little more than an animatronic and an idea, was amazing. Pirates is a really bad ride at Disneyland. Think It’s a Small world with Rum and booty. That idea spawned a franchise that rivals the Fast films and even Harry Potter in social relevancy, all because Jack Sparrow is too dope. All of that, while being a supporting character in his own goddamn films! The first three, the best three, were about the Turners. Those are Will Turner’s stories but they wouldn’t be sh*t without Depp and his take on the worst pirate you ever heard of. Because you have hear of him. Solid writing and great performances made that franchise and Depp lead the way. For him to lose it over a crazy, insecure, disingenuous, clout-f*cker was a crime so when i heard Disney was developing a Pirates 6 and were considering bringing him back, i was ecstatic. The the other she dropped.

It’s been reported that the next Pirates film will be female lead, that Disney wants to more away from Sparrows arc and into something new. As you can imagine, that news was no received well by a certain branch of society for the wrong reasons. The requisite “Muh Pirates” and “No Ma’am” chants have rippled through the internet and it’s a stupid thing to see. Why aren’t we past this yet? Who cares if a franchise has a female lead? Who cares if Pirates has a female lead? As i understand it, Disney ants to explore the Pirates world with Redd, a female animatronic from the ride or whatever. Expand the lore. Broaden the accessibility. Pirates is the perfect franchise to do that. Think abut it; That world is lush for adventure. Mythological creatures, magic, booty, it’s fertile ground for stories and you can probably come up with a ton to share. Plus, some of the greatest pirates throughout history were female. F*cking Anne Bonny and Mary Reed, man. They were not only female, but straight up lesbians. You don’t have to go that deep into it but story with a female pirate, using her wits a guile, quietly outfoxing her competition or pursuers with her feminine talents, is f*cking amazing to me. If Elizabeth Swann can be one of the most hard-body characters in the first trilogy, why can’t we have an actual , female, lead in the next? Redd can be a legend like Mara Jade or Mary Jane Watson.

It’s said that Disney is looking at Karen Gillan for that lead which, i think, is perfect casting. Gillan is also one of my favorite actors working to day but she’s never gotten a real vehicle to shine. She was excellent as Eleven’s companion, Amy Pond but that was a supporting role. She’s outstanding as Nebula in the MCU, especially in Endgame, but, again, supporting role. She had a short lived sting as co-lead in a pretty okay rom-com on TV. I really enjoyed her run in Selfie and feel like it was canned prematurely because white America was uncomfortable watching the burgeoning romance between a Ginger and an Asian. I loved Oculus, all of the Guardian films, The Party’s Just Beginning, and i thought Not Another Happy Ending was cute gut trite. The Jumanji films are okay, a little formulaic for my tastes, but Gillan is easily one of their strengths. With her comedic timing, versatile acting ability, and realistic physicality, Gillan would be the perfect lead for an action comedy like a Pirates film. The problem i see, and the problem with a lot of these female “reboots” is the writing.

You have to write a great character for Karen to play, not because she can’t turn schlock into gold, but because Depp was so brilliant as Sparrow. Gillian’s Redd will immediately be compared to Depp’s sparrow. Hell, we’re already seeing that happen now. Trust your actor to deliver a classic character, for sure. I trust Gillan can bring a life and identity to anything written for her. I haven’t seen all of her portfolio, but i have seen enough to be confident in her skills. The problem is i feel like Disney will fall int the trap of written girl-Jack. Don]t do that. Let Redd be her own character. Let Karen create her own characters. You don’t necessarily have to move away from the physical nature of the Sparrow’s character, a lot of his charm is the way he’s always moving, always plotting, but definitely find a way to make that type of sh*t Redd’s own. Female doesn’t mean bad, it means different and, as a writer, the possibilities of creating that difference are amazing to me. That’s pure creativity right there, you just have to have the balls to pull the trigger on something new and not rest on the laurels of what came before.

As long as people understand that Pirates 6 is it’s own thing, i don’t think anyone will care. The Pirates films aren’t numbered, they have sub-titles so differentiating continuity should be easy. Personally, i think Gillan would kill in that type of roll and look forward to whatever Disney manufactures, as long as the story is passable and the characters are strong. The only way this fails is if the Mouse House pusses out and just turned Jack Sparrow into a Female Ginge. At that point, the neck-beards and basement dwellers would be right in their outrage. Please don’t make the Incels right, Disney. Please. If you go the route of making Redd the main character in the next arc of your Pirates franchise and cast Karen in the lead role, please give her something to work with. Please make her story as compelling as Jack’s. Karen deserves at least that much and i am confident Redd can be every bit as dope as Jack. If you do right by her.

1) what is your ideal setting for writing?

actually, a really good question. i have to either be on the move or really in the groove to write well. something that has also proven to be good is when i’m in class. but i have a difficult time just sitting there and writing because i can’t seem to focus (i’m trying to get tested for adhd but it’s hard with corona - there are a lot of other factors included), and i have to have something in the background, but my conditions are just so insanely specific and constantly changing so it’s really a wild ride and is more guess-and-check than anything. but moving around and staying in one place for only a few minutes makes me write best.

2) what is your favorite genre to write?

my favorite genre to write is either tooth rotting fluff or hurt/comfort. i find smut easy to write and it tends to get more attention than my fluffy fics, so it’s really hard, but i’m a huge huge fan of hurt/comfort and i’m currently writing an angst and hurt/comfort series for haikyuu that will be on my haikyuu account @tkagayama

3) do you prefer writing on paper or digitally?

i do both. most of the time, i start physically on paper and then i edit by writing digitally, but if i’m doing something like nanowrimo, i write almost solely digitally because i’m just typing into the website and it’s easier for me to do it that way, unless i’m in class and cannot use my phone/laptop. hell, i’ve even been in gym class and because i always have a pen or marker on me, i’ve written on my arms and legs and even my torso when i got desperate and my teacher was like “what the fuck” and my friend was like “this is-- just a normal occurrence,, don’t question it” and immediately typed it when i got home bc gym was my last class of the day.

4) it’s the middle of the night and you wake up with an idea, what do you do?

depends. what i try to do is go to my notes app and write as many of the details as i can down and some lines if they come to me, but if i have the entire thing or i literally can’t stop thinking about it, i will just start writing it. but chances are i’m already up oop.

5) who is your favorite person to write about?

i don’t know. it always changes. i’m in a ton of different fandoms, ranging from one direction to harry potter to anime to k-pop, so it’s always sort of changing. i’ll say for the past few months, it��s been a rotating cycle of stray kids members as well as the haikyuu characters and i have a huge series coming up, like i mentioned before. that’s been the most fun for me because i can gauge their personalities really well and that shows through in my writing, but i have also been told that my characterization of shane madej and ryan bergara from buzzfeed/unsolved is really good as well.

6) do you like making your own characters or do you usually write about real people?

as someone who does want to be a published author in the future, i thoroughly enjoy writing my own characters as well as writing people that do exist and characters that already exist. all of them except for three that i can think of off the top of my head are my babies and i will protect my own mind children with my life. precious babies deserve to be protected, especially reno,, such a babie. now, if only i could STICK TO MY OWN PLOTS AND NOT WRITE FANFICTION I’LL BE GOLDEN.

7) have you ever written a book or story with more than 15 chapters/100k words?

yes. my longest fic is currently 45k words (i think, i have to check the google doc again), but i’d rather it would die so i will not be providing links and it is 20 chapters. i am working on another fic (shyan, can be found on my ao3 and is currently 30k words and is 15 chapters, but will be 21 chapters when i’m done with it). as for novels, i have about 16 chapters, but planned about 25 or so for a novel i’m putting to the side for now and it resides at about 35k, i forget exactly.

8) how often do you get ideas?

depends. sometimes something will happen in my life to impact a story idea (like my current one i’m working on that will be uploaded here in a day or two that i mentioned in my last post that will have a sfw and an nsfw counterpart uwu), or i’ll see something and go “i need a story with this in it” or it’ll just happen. i don’t have them all the time, but i do get more chaptered ideas than one shot ideas, though it doesn’t seem like it because i don’t post everything i write.

9) do you ever get an idea that you really like and just can’t seem to finish?

absolutely. i have plenty of ideas that i’ve started and lost interest in or can’t continue. if that’s the case, i take them down because i’m a firm believer in not letting people down with “last updated 3739 years ago,” but if it’s one that i’m just taking forever to write like my shyan fic (going on a year) or the one that i won’t link (took three years to write), i’ll let people know that every once in a while that it’s not forgotten about or abandoned, i’m just having massive writer’s block with the story or the chapter i’m working on, but will eventually come out.

10) what is your least favorite plot?

my least favorite plot to read has to be mythical type stories. they aren’t done right and are absolute hell to get through (i.e: mermaids, fairies, demons, angels, pirates [not like the actual somalian pirates but the pirates of the carribean-type pirates], etc) and it just sucks oops. i also don’t like reading overly gory stories but that’s generally just not my cup of tea. i also really hate reading little/non-sexual age play fics unless it’s done in a hella specific way, but i’ve found very few fics that actually cover it well so i just tend to avoid them like the plague.

my least favorite plot to write as i recently found out, is fighting! i’m writing a mafia au and you will literally find, like, no fighting in it whatsoever because it’s a bitch to write and i have no experience (i used to go to the library for fun -- what do you expect), and sports type of fics/stories. it’s just too hard for me and i don’t understand how most games work and i don’t have the patience to sit there and learn the sport just to write it accurately, soooo... yeah.

I've just read a JJ/ftm!Prentiss fanfic on ao3 and all of people's comments on it, and now I'm crying. It is the first trans fic I've read in this fandom - I had read before in others but not one ever left me this thunderstruck and touched. Did I say I cried and am still crying?

I don't usually read or want to read this type of fanfic since as a cisgender, bisexual woman I can't relate to the characters in it, and we all know we look for stories -with our favorite characters in it- we can identify with and enjoy. Be a part of it.

But this one made me feel and more importantly, think. I didn't cry because of the story, but because of the comments and reviews. We, gays and bisexual, complain and rant a lot about the lack of representation we get in cinema industry, or more accurately the messed-up, tragic, dramatic one we get and the many storylines and queer characters we're robbed of. But trans people? There's not much out there for them. And they also deserve to be able to idolize and relate to fictional characters just as the rest of cisgender straight people do. Just as WE do.

And it's sad to see that there's people in the LGBTQ+ community that deny and criticize the fact that trans people also write fanfics, most of the time from their own experiences, and share them with us, when we should be thanking them for contribute to the fandom and LGBTQ+ representation, not clicking on a fanfic just to write a stupid comment telling authors what they can or cannot do with fictional characters. Telling them that Harry Potter, Emily Prentiss or Captain America cannot be that way. WHY NOT? WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT? EASY, FUCKING NOTHING, YOU ASSHOLES! IT'S FANFICTION FOLKS, IT'S MEANT TO BE THIS WAY!!

So I'm just happy to verify they have their own space, and that if the world does not give them what they deserved, they will say fuck you and will create it themselves. They will construct their own world and grow in it as a collective, together, staying positive and supporting and loving each other. That's what fandom and fanfiction are for. That's what I'm here for, and I'm proud of it. I'm proud of being a really small part of this.

You, trans writers on this earth, have all my support and love. You are great and amazing. Keep writing and telling stories, changing characters so you can relate to when no one would give them to you, making them find themselves when society would be too much of a coward to let them be who they want to be. Keep touching and moving hearts and making us smile with your ups and cry with your downs. Keep conquering the world, keep creating your own heroes and pirates and magicians and law-enforcement agents and cookers and artists and mercenaries and soldiers. Because any one reblogging this will hear you out and will be reading and feeling you wherever you are. You and your work are valid and worth it and many would want to read it. We say trans rights ❤️🙌🏻

Comes from a very tight-knit family. Is the youngest, and the only of her siblings at Hogwarts since her brother graduated the year before. She has two older brothers and one older sister. All the kids were placed in different Hogwarts houses, which their parents thought was pretty amusing.

Used to go camping a lot as a child with her family, and though her siblings grew tired of it after a while, she was always looking forward to it. She loved feeling like one with nature, and adored both the flora and the fauna that surrounded her.

Excels at Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures because all things nature come, well, naturally to her.

Is always spending her free time outside, no matter the weather. It’s very important to her that Mother Nature knows she appreciates all seasons equally. However, she despises being cold if she’s indoors. Outside? It feels right. Inside? There’s something wrong.

Therefore, she wears tons of layers in winter. So much so, that it’s kind of ridiculous.

Is not the most talkative person ever, but if you get her started about something she’s passionate about (like preserving nature), good luck stopping her.

Very loyal and amiable.

Probably has a lot of friends, because I can’t imagine her not getting along with someone. Unless they disrespect nature, because in that case, they’re automatically an enemy in Abigail’s mind.

Thinks in English, but most of her dreams are in Spanish, and she’s perfectly fluent in both languages. Her mother’s Canadian and her father’s Chilean, and they met in France during an international wizarding conference. They decided to move to England because they couldn’t bear disappointing the other by not moving to their home, so they decided to compromise. Like, neither wanted the other to come with them, they wanted to go with the other. They’re adorable and couple goals af, to be honest.

Prefect! Is very responsible, with both feet planted firmly on the ground (which might explain why she hates flying or going on boats so much - she needs to touch the earth always). Gets generally good grades, but isn’t a genius or anything. She just works hard on school work.

A walking disaster.

Very lovable, though. I might be biased because I love her, but I believe she is truly easy to love.

Loves creating things. Will most likely end up with antlers at some point because she’s trying to invent a new spell or potion. Has yet to create anything successful, but she’ll be damned if she ever stops trying. Thing is, she wants to fix things. To make them better, and to make others happy.

Listen, I love this girl so damn much. She’s like a ray of sunshine with a tendency to accidentally blow things up, which she picked up from one of her dads. I mean, it’s not like he taught her how to blow things up, but like... Genetics? Maybe? Seamus is her biological father, as they used a surrogate for her to like, be birthed into existence, but she doesn’t see one of her fathers as more of her father than the other one. They’re her parents; she doesn’t care who she shares blood with. And she prefers not thinking about blood in general, actually, as it makes her feel queasy. Quite problematic considering the fact that she gets injured so easily, in fact.

Loves her family so damn much. Like, I don’t know what the birth order is, we’ll have to work that out, but will legit become the fight me emoji for any member of her family and/or anyone someone in her family loves. Which is quite funny considering the fact that she’s usually so sweet. But for her family? Anything.

Is very friendly, but can be a bit much for some people, so I picture her being friendly with everyone, but not necessarily having a lot of close friends as people sometimes need breaks from her. Which hurts her, to be honest, but she tries to keep that hidden.

The thing is, she’s been called annoying once, and though she hasn’t let it change the way she acts, she’s been really sensitive to the way people act around her ever since. Glances shared between others when she won’t stop talking lead to Aileen crying herself to sleep if she thinks too much about it, and she’s recently realized that she’s becoming more and more sensitive. She hides it really well behind smiles and loud laughter, though.

Like, legit.......... Plays Dungeons and Dragons with his muggleborn friends. Is most often the dungeon master because he loves coming up with stories.

Also loves coming up with theories and honestly loves studying and trying to figure things out between the lines. He’s just, like, really really curious. Intellectually and in general, really.

He’s really close to his family and his parents, but his favourite family member outside of close family is Luna. He knows she’s not like, blood family, but she’s his mother’s best friend, and he really admires her. He doesn’t necessarily believe in the things she does, but he finds it admirable that she believes in those things so deeply. He does believe in some things she says, though, and likes researching things related to what she’s been talking about. Like figuring out where those made-up creatures’ history might come from and things like that.

As far from angsty as can be, to be honest.

Loves loves LOVES hearing people’s various theories. Like, even if he doesn’t fully believe in something he hears, he finds it so fascinating to figure out why someone believes it that he finds it just as interesting as if he believed in it.

Started reading about muggle psychology lately and has been finding it fascinating. He thinks it’s interesting that it can easily be applied to the wix even though it was created by muggles, and highkey I picture him becoming a mind medic or something similar in the future. He loves figuring things out about people and helping people, and just!!!! He’d be so good at it.

Gets good grades, but not the best grades either. His best subjects are Arithmancy and History of Magic, and his worst is Potions.
