Just making small talk, you’re both just comfortable together whether it’s talking or just silence, so you like to have a mix of it.

While he’s talking, you subconsciously stare at his lips, the fullness and the way they look while he talks transfixes you. So much so, you don’t even fully register when Chan speaks up.

“You okay, there?”

You flush a bit. “Yeah! Sorry-“

He giggles. “Nah, it’s all good.” He grins, getting an idea. “Were you captivated babygirl?”

He’s joking, of course, which is why he’s giggling, figuring you’re going to giggle as well.

But in reality, your eyes widen, face flushing. “What- what did you call me?”

This time he flushes, more than you did, babbling and stuttering over his words, trying to think up a response. He runs a pretty, veiny hand through his dark curly hair, and you giggle.

You suddenly feel a bit flustered just at what you said, and you’re both there giggling like little kids, just not knowing what to do with his hands.

He looks at you, a faint blush still painting his pretty face. “So.. uh..”

You giggle, smiling. “Yes, Channie?”

“I uhm-“ he bursts into more embarrassed giggles, and he gets up to come sit by you on your bed. You giggle in return, and out of just a random rush of confidence, you lean over to press a little kiss to his plush lips. He blushes more, his cheeks a pretty rosy shade.

“I do too, Channie.”

He’s a bit confused, he hadn’t even said anything, yet you somehow read his mind, much less kissed him. Poor boy doesn’t know what to say, so you giggle for the millionth time and sit yourself comfortably on his lap.

“I-“

“Shh, shh, Channie it’s okay.” You boop him. “No need for words.”

He giggles again, shaking his head, his brown curls shaking with it. You run your hands up and down his arms, covered by the soft fabric of his black hoodie. You look into his eyes, the faint dark makeup still there, and he’s smiling at you, those pretty lips of his quirked up into a smile.

You can’t help yourself, you lean down to kiss him again. This time, it’s not quick, and he’s happy, albeit still a bit flustered, to kiss back, gently cupping your face with his big hands.

You pull away after a bit and giggle. “Cutie.”

He flushes again, sighing. “You’re the cute one, baby girl.”

You laugh. “Is that what you’re calling me now?”

He laughs too. “Yup, unless you don’t want me to?”

You shake your head, smiling. “No, no Channie, it’s cute, I like it.”

He smiles. “Alrighty baby girl.”

You laugh again, leaning down to cuddle him, and he’s eager and quick to reciprocate, comfortable in your added warmth.

I fear I don't have much advice when it comes to making chatfics, I suppose I just made sure that I kept my format the same when it comes to switching gcs or making the usernames. Early on in the fic was where most of those decisions were made and I was careless with them and didn't realize this fic would be 44 CHAPTERS LONG!!! So try and put... a little more thought than I did I suppose! Or don't, we can be careless together 🤝

As for comedy, I don't actually know how to help as I just used my own sense of humor for that fic and had no idea people would actually find it as funny as I did. I just like to write banter as it's something I find way too much fun writing. And for plot lines; whenever I stupid idea would come to mind I would write it and that's how most chapters ended up being made lol.

Anywho I'm yapping so!!! Thank you for the ask and I hope this helps, even if it ain't much 🩷

Pac straightened his form in front of the boy with thick brown curls who was sitting on and had his legs hanging from the counter of the lab above him.

He had made the child a new prosthetic leg, not one for everyday, just occasions such as today, and finished making the final adjustments while it was pulled over the stump just above where his knee would be.

The bottom of its foot with a blade on it to help him glide along the ice outside, an ice skating shoe to wear on the opposite foot sitting on the counter beside him to put on when they were settled and ready.

Ramón with a matching pair sitting on the stool beside him and across from his sibling and parents, wiping his much less curly light brown hair from his forehead, and adjusting his signature bandana with a mustache drawn on the front.

The slightly younger kicked their leg slowly forward and turned his ankle to test the new prosthetic, then nodded matter of factly, Fit stepping forward to help him put on the other skate shoe then lifted and lowered them from the counter.

Pac standing in front of the chair their other son was at, bent slightly, and tying his ice skates.

"Cuidado, fihlo's. It is, it is difficult to walk on them sometimes. Não corra por favor."

They both nodded, holding hands to support one another, giggling as they waddled to the elevator, out the door of Chume Labs, and to the frozen over water at the edge.

The American had pulled one of the wooden chairs from the middle of this section of the island to sit at and observe his boyfriend and children, having waved his hand a couple times in response to him joining them at the moment but maybe later.

Pac holding one of each of their hands as they stepped onto the ice shaky and giggling.

"Lá vamos nós, good job guys, olha você vai!"

Richas and Ramón were holding each other's gloved hands now as they floated across the ice, Pac clapping his own together as the children learned how to stay upright, Fit cheering from a few feet away.

"Nice job guys, I knew you could do it!"

"Fitchi, would you like to join us now? It is fun!"

"I appreciate it, I think I'm okay for right now though, having fun watching my favorite boys having fun."

The Brazilian's cheeks were kind of pink, mostly caused by them standing in the weather, but not entirely.

Their sons still holding each other and spinning in slow circles and laughing while Pac skated over to the edge and stood in front of the other.

"Is everything okay, Fit? I do not want you to feel left out if you are not having fun, that's all."

Fit stood from the chair and sandwiched one of Pac's hands to reassure him and also keep it warm.

"I'm okay Pac, I'm not feeling left out or not having fun, promise."

"Then, then why do you not want to skate with us right now?"

Fit opened his mouth to speak, hesitated, Pac traced the palm of one of his hands with a finger still inside the warmth and smiled reassuringly, he opened his mouth again.

"Cause I uh, I don't know how."

"Oh! Is that all? Tudo bem! Would you, would you like to learn, can I help teach you?"

"I, yes, we can do that."

"Okay! There is still a pair of skate shoes inside, no? Could you go in and get them and I stay here to see if the kids need anymore help?"

When the veteran came waddling out from the elevator and walked across to meet the other three a few minutes later, the boys were no longer holding onto each other but they skated close to each other still, and the dark haired man stood at the edge of the frozen ocean.

"Oi Fitchi!"

"Oi. So."

"So! Hold onto my hands, yes? Just take a few more little steps. I will not let you fall, estou bem aqui, I promise."

One and then both feet on the ice.

And.

"Whoa!"

"It's okay! I've got you, remember? Look, you are on the ice now, one part done!"

Pac tightened the hold on Fit's hands and the corners of his dark eyes crinkled as he smiled.

"Now you just kind of-"

He shuffled his feet in place, encouraging the American to do the same, still holding him steady.

"There you go, bom trabalho, Fit! Okay, do you think you would like to try moving, like um, not just in place. We can move together, yeah?"

Fit was still standing, shakily, and Pac rubbed his thumbs along the back of the veteran's hands.

"I uh, I think I'm good here actually, we don't have to go anywhere else do we?"

The giggle that followed, like all the times the Brazilian laughed, was one of Fit's favorite sounds in the world.

"Come on Fitchi, I've got you, I am not going anywhere away, we're just going to try to move more away from the edge, can we do that?"

Those big and soft brown eyes looked up and into soft hazel ones.

One flesh and one faux hand squeezed as children laughed nearby.

But for a little extra...astrology is, essentially, a language of symbolism and storytelling. (Also more math than I like to think about, so let's not get into that bit of it.) Well I, as a writer, am very drawn to the storytelling bit, but I'm also pretty well-versed in symbolism in general.

Color symbolism. Animal symbolism. Flower symbolism. I'm very fascinated by symbols, and history, and stories, and sort of tying it all together. The idea of there being deeper meaning, and deeper power, in all things. Seeing beauty and magic all around us.

That's what made Orange Blossoms so fun to write, just fully leaning into floriography. It's why I have a deep fondness for rhapsodizing about eye color; color and meaning and what all I can compare it to, and the meaning behind that. And in astrology, the elements, and the symbolism there; I blend the elements into my work where I can, too, using what I know of its symbolism.

There was a bit I was writing once where Severus was reflecting on his feelings for Lily and Harry, and I was aiming for a lot of airy comparisons for Lily (an Aquarius) and fiery descriptors for Harry (a Leo.) Fully self-indulgent and I never quite finished it!

Hmmm. Probably a lot. But people don't generally tell me what they think is weird about me. 🤣 My laugh, maybe, or at least that's what I'm self-conscious of. I think it's loud and obnoxious, and I also happen to laugh way too much.

I also take great pleasure in very simple things. Which maybe sounds nice until I'm raving about how sweet Eddie is for bringing home a Midnight Milky Way and everyone else is like "wtf why are you telling me this." Cuz I'm HAPPY. I'm VERY HAPPY. I love dark chocolate and that was so nice!!! (Eddie is my partner btw for those who dk.)

I also have OCD and ADHD (bad combination that), so my brain is very weirdly particular about things. I'm 1000% sure people think many of those are weird. I also have tics which I hope to god no one notices but if they do, I'm sure they think that's weird, too.

Aaaand...Well. My level of obsessiveness and enthusiasm. I live in the South (U.S.) where everyone religiously follows football, wears merch for their favorite teams, and even play Fantasy Football, but I'm weird for wearing Hufflepuff t shirts and writing fanfiction. 🙄

Also I babble/ramble a lot, but I've gotta be feeling pretty comfy to talk at all so...🤷‍♀️

On the whole I embrace my weirdness so while I can be a bit self-conscious and overthink, I also love all of what makes me unique! And best of all...my weirdness brings in other weird people, who I'd rather hang out with anyway!

If you know you know. 😂 I'll thank my Leo Rising for great hair (Or I could thank my dad for the genetics, but...I'd rather not. I'd rather thank my Leo Rising, which means I can thank my mother instead for giving birth to me at the optimal time for great hair.)

(Okay we're getting off track, and probably oversharing a bit.)

AHEM.

I don't think I'm especially pretty, and I'm a bit insecure about a lot, but one thing I have never doubted is my hair. Dark brown (I dyed it red for years, but I went back to my natural color some years ago!) LONG...as in, nearly to my butt when fully dry. And best of all: SUPER CURLY. I have 3B hair, to give people a better idea.

I love it even more since my partner likes to tell me that I have so much chaos and liveliness in me that it sprouts out of my head that way. My hair, the ultimate representation of all my...[gestures wildly]

Anyway, maintenance is a pain in the behind. I braid it every night for bed and let me TELL YOU...getting to the end of the braid is a pain, worse still if I have to redo the braid. My arms get TIRED. Also curls tangle like crazy. I could not move at all after brushing it and somehow all of my curls start making friends.

But you know what? It's soft. It's pretty. Having long curly hair makes me feel like a fairytale princess, I won't lie. Flipping it around? Charm. The wind whipping it all over? Magic.

Also fun fact, when it's shorter, it's super springy and has a lot more volume. (The length weighs down the curls a bit.) So when my hair was short it actually kinda looked like a lion's mane. Which was cool. Especially relating to my Leo Moon and my Leo Rising (which is to thank for said hair to begin with.) Leo...lion...lion's mane. Get it?

i've short curly hair & idk what baseline knowledge you have so some of this is probably very very basic lol but. giving you everything i can think of:

counterintuitive but get it trimmed regularly so the ends don't split bc that will fuck you over

if u want to wrap your hair up when you sleep (i.e. if it is doing nicely and you don't want it to dry out during the night or whatever) you can use a silk bonnet or a wrap or an old soft t shirt

use a silk pillowcase! good for your skin and your face. u only need one if you can find some time to quickly wash it (in sink or on a quick cycle) and then hang it up before you go out for the day/sit around elsewhere in your house. silk dries pretty quickly so as long as it's in a ventilated place it should be nice and dry when u come downstairs. also it is nice and cool when u put your face on it <3

scrunchies are, afaik, your friend. again i have short hair but I Have Heard that traditional elastic bands put undue stress on the hair. also speaking of—if you're pulling it back try not to pull it too tight lol. you can get silk scrunchies also. i love silk hair products for real!

figure out if you are washing your hair too much or not enough or just the right amount (this depends on texture and porosity and dryness, iirc. there are probably articles online to help you figure out? this is not my area of expertise). if it's too much because you can't get it presentable otherwise—bandanas and wraps are your friends. take a bandana and fold it into a triangle, then put it around your neck so the apex of the triangle is pointing down. tie it loosely together (looping it twice before you tie makes it stronger) at the back, then slide the front up your face until it's sitting on your forehead. then, flip most of the triangle back. that should work pretty well! there are lots of other ways of tying a bandana or wrap but that's what i usually do.

it is hard to tell but your hair looks like it might be curlier than it is... try conditioning it wet and combing it through with a wide-tooth comb or your fingers. i am p sure that is the generally accepted way to figure out?

you might end up needing to buy some expensive hair products. i am also angry about how expensive hair products are (i have... 3c/4a hair? and not much of it. but Whoo Boy!). having long hair is generally a more expensive and time-consuming endeavour than short hair. you can probably go without fancy creams and stuff, or substitute them for home-made recipes, but the possibility that your hair will become more expensive to manage is a real one (especially if it's curly, as i pondered). it's an unfortunate reality but one that you might want to keep in mind if money is an issue :[

also this is unrelated but don't forget to sunscreen the back of your neck or wear a hat/high-collared shirt if you're out in the sun. hair will not protect you <-guy who regularly forgets to do this and gets sunburned xD (okay i am mostly just saying this bc i am aussie for all i know you live in a research centre at the north pole and are currently in The Big Dark)

i think that is all i have to say. i have given the best advice i can but i am not remotely qualified to do this (again: short curly hair) so you're probably going to want to double-check whether certain moves are right for you. if anyone seeing this has corrections pls do contribute lol. have fun w ur hair op! it looks very nice btw :) lovely colour!
